Dianna and the team at Catering Reserved were on the list of preferred vendors recommended by our venue, Sweeney Barn, and it isn't hard to see why.
Going into the wedding planning process we were naïve about the budget and cost for catering, linens, tables, rentals, etc. and it can get a bit overwhelming seeing how quickly it all adds up! However, I would do it all over again exactly as we did.
Dianna and her team knocked it out of the park. Our food was divine. The table settings looked dreamy and romantic. The staff was professional and organized. Our guests also made sure to tell us multiple times how phenomenal the bartending team was!
We ended up opting for a plated meal which included multiple apps, bread & a plated salad, and then guests' choice of chicken, beef, or seafood. I just cannot say enough how much I'll dream of that shrimp & seafood pasta and will dream of bathing in it.
My concern as someone that's been to many weddings was making sure no one had to wait forever for their food and that everything was as top-notch quality in taste, temperature, and presentation as it was at our tasting. Given that Sweeney Barn has one small elevator for the catering team to have to use to get to the 2nd floor, I'm actually FLOORED at how Dianna and team pulled it off! Additionally, Dianna is a gem to work with and very flexible/ accommodating. She helped make guided recommendations and was all about our signature cocktails. -

Catering Reserved handled my whole wedding beautifully.
Let's chat about the most important part...the food. I would give them 5 stars for their food alone. We all know wedding food is pretty mediocre, but the amount of people who have gone out of their way to talk about the food at my wedding is crazy. Everyone has said it was the best food they've had at any wedding so far!
Other than the food, I would give the whole team a 5 star review as well. I was working primarily with Betsy who was phenomenal. She made sure I had everything thought through which I really really appreciated. The staff who showed up to my event were extremely professional, kind, attentive, and so many more wonderful adjectives.
In terms of cost, Catering Reserved was right in my sweet spot, which was somewhat constricted. So given my budget and the fact that I received amazing service and delicious food, I would book them again and again.
My Food Choices:
Strolling Apps: Fig and Goat cheese flatbread, Crab Cakes, and Tenderloin Crostini
Stationed Apps: Fruit Display, Antipasto Display
Salad: Cesar (Which I loved that the dressing came on the side)
Buffet: Beef Bourguignon, Chicken Piccata (My personal fav), Grilled Salmon, Farmer's Market Risotto, Mashed Potatoes (with loaded toppings on the side), Roasted Veggies, and dinner rolls -

Catering Reserved did an amazing job for our small October wedding dinner reception! We had a small space to work with and they handled the logistics and set-up with ease. The set-up was elegant, the passed appetizers and plated dinners were delicious! The service was impeccable, no one was wanting for anything the whole time. They cleaned up after and left the place in great shape. We also ordered late night snacks and breakfast casseroles to heat up the following day for brunch. They were all wonderful. And since I did not have a day-of coordinator, it helped that catering team was so organized! Highly recommend! -

Loved my experience with Catering Reserved! The variety of food was what stood out to me initially. They're also flexible and will work with you on your unique wedding/event. The owner was always responsive and answered all of my questions throughout the planning process. Of course the food was delicious! The staff were all amazing as well. I received multiple comments from my guests about how much they loved the staff. Great menu variety, delicious food, awesome staff. overall amazing experience. -

Dianna at Catering Reserved is a Godsend! We found ourselves without a caterer ~3 months before our wedding and Dianna was able to schedule us in for a tasting at very short notice. The food options were great! They were also very willing to change around menu items and think creatively about adding specific drinks or desserts. We had a lot of issues leading up to our wedding, but Catering Reserved was able to be VERY flexible with us - even attending two different final walkthru's of our wedding venue, one of which was only a week before the wedding. 1000% recommend this vendor to anyone in the VA/DC area!! -

Catering Reserved made our daughter’s wedding absolutely perfect! The food was fabulous, the service was stellar, and attention to detail was amazing!
The bride & groom said they would not have changed a single thing about their day. We just cannot thank Dianna and her crew enough for making it all happen.
We were able to fully enjoy our day and be present in the moment because we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We knew everything was in good hands.
I cannot recommend Catering Reserved highly enough! -

Catering Reserved is the real deal when it comes to event catering. They were recommended to us through our venue, Sweeney Barn, and they exceeded expectations in all areas! They provided all of our food and rentals, as well as food and beverage service. The staff members were so friendly and worked so hard to give us the most amazing cocktail hour and reception. We had a barbeque buffet that people are still talking about! I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a full-service catering company. -

Amazing from start to finish!
Catering Reserved was recommended to us by our venue. From the first phone conversation with Dianna to the completion of our daughter's wedding last weekend, we knew we made the right decision to use them as our caterer. When Virginia went to a 25 person maximum, their flexibility, responsiveness, and compassion was put into action. Not all vendors responded the same way. When our daughter changed venues 2 weeks before her wedding date, Dianna made a special trip out there to evaluate the space. Fast forward to the reception, we were wowed by the beauty and precision of the set up, the professionalism of the staff, the excellence of the presentation and quality of the food, and the help with cleanup. Hard to imagine, but the food at the reception was even better than at the tasting. In other words, we cannot say enough, nor show enough gratitude, to the outstanding service we received. Do not hesitate to use Catering Reserved. -

Not only did catering reserved DELICIOUS food for our wedding last Saturday, but they were so flexible on all the million changes we had to do due to COVID-19. We postpone the marriage once, downsize the wedding twice and change our mind regarding food like a hundred times and Vivian was always so receptive about our changes. Catering reserved made our dream wedding come true even during the pandemic. -

My husband & I are so happy we chose Catering Reserved to cater our wedding! Dianna fused an American and Indian menu that blew us and our guests away. She was incredibly helpful with table setups and covid compliance, and her staff was very friendly. My favorite part is that Dianna made sure we were fed during the frenzy of our wedding. Thank you for everything! -

We had a lot of last minute changes we needed to make to our menu and Dianna was beyond helpful and understanding. From the testing all the way to our wedding day, she never hesitated to go the extra mile and make sure everything was exactly the way my husband and I wanted it to be. The China looked very high quality, the napkins and table setting were gorgeous and the food was amazing! I had no complaints. -

Catering Reserved were the prime caterer for my wedding this past weekend. The FOOD was absolutely amazing! Given that we had to postpone our wedding 2 times, we have a great sense of community with our vendors and felt 100% taken care of the entire time . This was the BEST night of my husband and I's lives and we thank a LARGE part of that to the AMAZING FOOD!! The staff was incredibly accommodating and made sure I always had something to nibble or sip on. Many of our guests exclaimed that it was some of the best food they've ever had at any wedding! -

Catering Reserved really came through on the day of our wedding. We knew from our tasting that their food was going to be amazing (and our guests most certainly agreed as well!), but the service we received during our reception was incredible. The Catering Reserved staff made all the difference; we can say with confidence that booking with them was a solid decision. People always warn couples that you won't be able to eat at the wedding or be able to enjoy your food, but we have quite the opposite to say for our wedding! Catering Reserved took great care of us--they made plates for us ahead of time, we had enough time to eat, and they made sure our glasses were *never* empty the entire night. The event manager on the day-of even sought us out while we were doing our photo sessions just to ask if we wanted drinks or food! We were blown away and so grateful by their service--we were able to enjoy our reception and food because of them! -

When we first met with Dianna at Catering Reserved, we knew their service would be a great fit for our wedding! We are not your traditional "plated dinner", "seating chart", bride and groom, and they not only respected our wishes, but embraced them (You wouldn't believe how many caterers tried to force us the other way)! We heard compliments all night about how great the food was, but more importantly, the service! Dianna, Maritza and her staff worked so hard to make our day special. They even served the wedding party during formal pictures while the rest of our guests enjoyed cocktail hour - so thoughtful! From the crab cake hors d'oeuvres to the slider station, we were so pleased with how everything turned out! Dianna and her team are awesome!! -

If I am being honest here, I barely ate at my wedding. May have been the nerves or the tight dress. But we did have a tasting a few months out, and the food was sooo good!
Our guests loved the food. We got three passed hors d’oeuvres (crab cake, mini beef Wellington, vegan zucchini wrap) at the cocktail hour, two entrees at a buffet with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies on the side, and a plated salad. The entrees we got were beef short rib, which you don’t need a knife because it fell off the bone, and seafood pasta. The seafood pasta was a huge hit, with my brothers in law and many other guests going back for massive second helpings. Our vegetarians and vegans were given special plates at no extra cost and they loved their plates too.
We also had a late night snack- soft pretzels and beer cheese. This was not something our caterer offered, but they figured out how to make it for us and displayed our beautifully on our own handmade pretzel hook stand. We brought our own ice cream with cups and spoons, which they scooped for us as well.
Staff was very courteous. Working with Dianna was so easy. My husband and I were served at our table and did not have to go to the buffet or bar if we did not want to.
Honestly I have nothing negative to say here. Everything was great! -

My husband and I met Vivian when we had our first venue visit. We booked a tasting with her shortly after and booked Catering Reserved the day of our tasting. I feel like wedding food is always hit or miss and ours was definitely a hit. The food was wonderful! Almost every guest complimented our caterer and said the food/service was great… and we agree. Vivian was very accommodating – even with last minute requests - and was able to do everything I asked. We’re very happy with our decision to use Catering Reserved and highly recommend Vivian and her team. -

Dianna and her team made out wedding day wonderful! With my husband being in the military, we did not get to come up for a tasting. Dianna did a fabulous job communicating with us, answering questions, and helping us choose a menu that matched our vision. Dianna also helped set a timeline and made sure that all of the table decorations were set to make my ideal vision. The food was absolutely delicious and great portion sizes. We received many compliments about the buffet, mac and cheese martinis, and crab dip. Lastly, catering reserved did an excellent job making sure that myself and husband had enough food. They brought us down appetizers while we were getting our pictures taken and made sure to serve us first so we had plenty of time to eat. I highly recommend this company to anyone in search on a wedding day caterer! -

Catering reserved provided the most amazing food and service. We had so many people say that this was the best food they’ve ever had a wedding. Food was hot and delicious. Vivian was very attentive and made the process so easy! Everything from the linens, the staff, to the food was top notch! -

The food that we had was so delicious! Many of our guest told us how much they loved our wedding food. We were so excited to have leftovers to take home with us lol. The tasting was very easy and Betsy was very kind. There were some slight issues, though. The first one was that my younger sister was given a salad with nuts in it, despite us telling the vendor that she is definitely allergic to all tree nuts. The second issue is there were several guest who were not given any Silverware and my bridesmaids had to find extra. I thankfully was not aware of this during the wedding, but it did not feel good to be told that later. Overall, I would recommend them to others as o think the allergy issue was the fault of the wedding planner not having place cards in the tables. Get the Mac and cheese, you won’t regret it! -

The food was amazing and all leftovers were packed away for us to enjoy later. Also, Beth checked in on me while I was getting ready for the ceremony and provided me with refreshments to help ease stress. After the wedding, I got lots of compliments about how polite and thoughtful the catering staff were, especially from a few folks whose food got brought to them because they had small children. The whole team was lovely and a pleasure to work with. During the reception, my husband and I were checked in on regularly - everyone was well-fed and pleased with the service. I would highly recommend!!
