We had the privilege of having Carly capture our proposal and wedding and she is a true artist at her craft. Carly's photos are not only gorgeous, but authentic, and they have a way of transporting you back to the very moment she captured.
Above all, Carly is warm, professional, and brings a calming presence within the chaos of a wedding day. She has an incredible ability to keep things moving seamlessly, yet always be perfectly positioned to capture the most meaningful moments. We were able to be fully immersed in our wedding day, not worrying about photos, knowing that we had Carly alongside us.

Incredibly Talented!
Carly was the very first wedding vendor we hired! As soon as we stumbled upon her photography we knew immediately she was exactly who we wanted to capture our day. She was one of the best wedding decisions we made. Our photos far exceeded our expectation. She manages to capture the most beautiful moments without you even knowing she's present. Carly has the most calming demeanor, she's sweet, professional and incredibly talented. We will cherish our wedding photos for the rest of our lives! -

Carly is everything you are looking for in a wedding photographer and more! Her talents and eye for key moments are unmatched. I lost count of the amount of family and friends who complimented not only her beautiful photographs but her kind, fun, and calming demeanor throughout the day. Carly manages to capture every important moment but not make you feel like you're in the spotlight.
We originally hired Carly for our big wedding celebration in late October at a venue on the Cape. Little did we know, life would throw us a curveball and due to family circumstance, added a very emotional and intimate wedding ceremony ~1 month before our big day. Within 30 minutes of texting Carly to ask if she would be available for the smaller ceremony as well, she called me, confirmed a babysitter and promised she'd be there for us. Carly was caring, sensitive and human in a time when we needed it most. She captured moments we will truly cherish forever. Above all, she is a wonderful person to her core.
Hiring Carly was the very best wedding decision we made! I will forever sing her praises to anyone who will listen! -

Perfection!
Carly is an incredible photographer! We utilized her talents for both our engagement and wedding photos. We were stunned by how beautiful our engagement photos turned out (especially since my fiancé hates having his picture taken) and how rarely we felt “posed” during the shoot. We felt the same way on our wedding day! It was insanely humid, resulting in frizzy hair and sweat from everyone. But you would have never guessed that after seeing the pictures that Carly took - they were perfection! And most importantly, our wedding day didn’t feel like a photo shoot! She let us enjoy the moments that we wanted to be present for and was able to capture the candid emotion during them. She was incredibly calm and cool during every moment, which made us feel calm. She was organized and communicative in the months leading up to the wedding. AND - she was able to do it all right after coming back to work from maternity leave. We cannot recommend her enough!! -

You MUST hire Carly!
After seeing Carly’s work after getting engaged in 2018 I knew I had to have her. I reached out immediately and booked her before any other vendor. Then Covid hit, and to say that planning and rescheduling a wedding during a global pandemic was difficult and emotional would be an understatement. Carly was there every step of the way to provide guidance, listen to me complain and vent, follow up on our plans and when we decided to change our date there was no doubt that whatever date we chose had to work around Carly’s schedule. To this day that was the best decision my husband and I made. Throughout the course of planning Carly became a friend and someone that I knew I could trust to help make decisions that were best for my now husband and I. On the day of the wedding Carly was an absolute blessing and such a calming presence. She helped to keep everything on schedule and make adjustments on the fly when things got off track, she kept me calm, made me laugh, and it really felt like I had a friend by my side all day. When we got our sneak peeks back the next day I was absolutely speechless, the photos were absolutely stunning and I couldn’t wait to see more. Thankfully we didn’t have to! Carly got us back our final photos just TWO WEEKS later! I was in awe at the turnaround time and the quality of the images and my husband and I were in tears looking through them as they captured the day to an absolute tee. We are so obsessed with them all that we literally cannot decide on which ones to have printed. Carly is the best of the best. I feel so lucky to have had her as a part of our day and to have the most beautiful, raw, candid photos to look back on and cherish for the rest of our lives. -

Ashley Sent on 10/13/2018I first found Carly on Instagram a few years ago and just loved how she captured movement, unique poses and just the love within a picture of a couple! So when it came time to pick a photographer, I knew instantly to contact Carly. She’s responsive, and so knowledgeable. When it came time for our wedding, her and her team were amazing!! They made us all so comfortable, and so easy to give us directions to get great photos, it might have been windy and cold, but you can’t tell in our photos! She really captured our love, the laughs, tears from our gorgeous day. We seriously recommend her to any couple who wants not just photographs but art as well! We are so happy that we choose Carly Michelle Photography! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and helping us relive our wedding with your photos! -

Olivia Sent on 07/29/2018I have always felt like the most un-photogenic person in almost every picture, especially standing next to my very handsome/photogenic husband. On top of that, we are both very private and uncomfortable in front of a camera. Carly managed to document every moment of the day, while making us feel completely calm. She was everywhere all at once, but never in our face. Even the groomsmen commented on how cool Carly and her second photographer, Jeremy, were. She had worked with our videographer before and they complimented each other perfectly.
I also substituted the engagement session in our package for a boudoir shoot. This was way outside of my comfort zone and it paid off. Carly was very relaxed, played music and shot the most tasteful, sexy photos. I felt like I was hanging out with one of my friends. The shoot was a huge confidence boost. I gave my fiancé a small album the morning of the wedding and he loved it.
Carly sent us a couple of photos the day after the wedding as a teaser and we could not believe how amazing they were. She delivered the full digital album, with over 1,000 pictures, two weeks after the wedding and the day we returned from our honeymoon. We rushed home from the airport and went through every single picture in one sitting. The photos are so natural and we really look our best. Some of my favorite pictures are of my “bad side.” I have no idea how she did it. We receive endless compliments and have heard several times that the pictures should be in a magazine. Carly has an undeniable talent. I hope every bride has the opportunity to work with Carly and her team.
