We were given a list of photographers from our wedding planner and landed on Carley for her unique ability to make photos feel very real, honest, but still timeless and classy. She absolutely delivered this on our wedding as well! We had a specific vision in mind with our photography as my husband is very particular with photo editing for wedding photos, and we were getting married outside in December. In addition, I had been married once already and also was feeling very selective with our options. Carley was absolutely the right choice for us, as we got married in a full snow storm on top of a mountain, and she handled it with joy and enthusiasm. I love how she takes the time to get to know you as a couple in order to better understand what photos you want. For example, we were not pressured to take hours and hours of family photos as we indicated we wanted to focus more on other elements of the wedding, such as the first look and ceremony shots. I audibly gasped at the first photo preview we got, and am so happy that we have the full album to look at for years to come. I would 100% recommend Carley for your wedding. After looking at a ton of wedding photographers websites, I knew I had my heart set on Carley. I was so scared she'd be out of our (tight) budget that I almost didn't even send a message, but I'm so glad I did. We got on a call and talked about me and my partner, how we met and why we decided to get married, what I liked about her work, all the good stuff. She sent us over an incredibly thoughtful, personalized proposal that gave us a lot of flexibility in price. Even though she was already booked for another wedding on the day, we were able to hire her and have an associate shooter. Carley even sent me several galleries shot by associates or a mix of her and associates to help me make a decision. I have absolutely no regrets. Carley is so thoughtful and kind, and helped us evaluate what we wanted to capture the most on our day.
We adored the associate photographer she sent. We had so much fun on our wedding day, got tons of STUNNING sneak peak photos, and Carley sent us the entire gallery months before I expected it. I seriously want to cover my walls in these pictures. I look at them and see the love between me and my partner, us and our friends and family. I see and remember the amount of fun we had. Your pictures will look like the galleries on her website. It doesn't matter if you get married somewhere stunning or humble, she will make it look like a fairytale -- YOUR fairytale.
Seriously, just a 10/10 in every way. Lots of people look back at their wedding and feel silly about the money they spent, but that is not the case here (and also her price is super reasonable, especially considering her experience and the sheer number of photos she hand edits). I couldn't be happier with what she delivered, and I absolutely would do it all again. -

I cannot recommend Carley enough! She captured our engagement photos + wedding day. She is so fun, makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and takes the most incredible photos! She knows the ins and outs of wedding photography and was also super helpful in planning our photography timeline, kept everyone organized on wedding day, and worked seamlessly with our videographer. We are so happy with our finished gallery and will treasure our photos forever! -

Could not recommend Carley Jayne Photography more. Carley took our engagement and wedding day photos, and I am sure we will work together in the future! Her photos of my wedding day are exceptional, and I cherish them 💖 She executed exactly what we had envisioned, and her style and flair made them unique and timeless. I am filled with joy when I look through my photos! She was professional yet fun and down to earth, listened closely to our wants and needs, came prepared and seamlessly floated throughout the day. She caught special moments of our family and friends that we will continue to use as gifts, an added bonus! The advice to not skimp out on your photography is gold, I remember very little from the day since it was such a whirlwind, but I get to relive every moment whenever I want by reviewing our gallery. Carley did an incredible job capturing our wedding and doing all of the behind the scenes work to figure out how put us at ease while still getting all the shots! That started with the 'engagement shoot' where we met Carley and she made us feel very comfortable during a forest photo shoot which we were complete newbies at. Carley is fun to be around and was very flexible the day of making us feel relaxed and not having to think too much about the photos. This is of course despite the fact that she was on a mission and got all the photos we asked for. We can’t say enough how much we appreciated Carley throughout the planning and wedding and we would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Carley for capturing our wedding so well. -

Picking a photographer is a really important part of wedding planning and I could not be happier to have picked Carley. There are a few photographers in our family, including my husband, which means we were looking for someone who knew what they were doing, and someone who could help us be comfortable in front of the camera.
There are so many reasons we choose Carley. Her approach to photographing a wedding focuses on you, your day, and your love. We had so much fun working with her at every step, from planning calls to our engagement shoot, to running around Seattle on our wedding day. Her knowledge of Seattle and Tacoma was so helpful for both engagement shoot scouting and helping us get from South Lake Union to Fremont to Ballard on our wedding day.
She will make sure to get the photos you want and capture the day as it unfolds. She is incredibly kind, positive and calm, and creative, which helps on a busy wedding day when you’re surrounded by your family and friends. Carley will make you feel totally taken care of when it comes to wedding photos. Your photographer is such an important wedding vendor and Carley does this job so well.
Our wedding was in early summer, and we loved our experience with Carley so much we went back to her in the fall for family photos with our dog. I love each set of photos and would strongly recommend Carley for wedding and family photos. -

She is everywhere all at once turning moments into timeless memories
Out of all of our wedding vendors, Carley was one of our favorites! I would recommend her over and over again.
Carley has a remarkable knack for capturing warm, romantic, and airy moments spontaneously. From the initial engagement photo shoot to our wedding day, she created a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. I swear, she was everywhere all at once!! She has a keen eye for those small, often overlooked details that hold immense sentimental value. From the intricate details of our venue to the subtle expressions on the faces of our guests, Carley effortlessly documented every aspect, turning them into meaningful memories that we'll treasure forever.
Another aspect that truly stood out to us was Carley's flexibility in accommodating our schedule. Despite the challenges of mid-November weather in Seattle, she not only managed to schedule and execute a fantastic engagement photo session, but she also got the photos back to us right after the holidays which allowed us to include them in our wedding invitations.
Carley's familiarity with Seattle was incredibly helpful too, as she proposed numerous ideas for capturing the essence of the city. Despite our wedding being solely indoors Ballard, Carley's insightful suggestions allowed us to incorporate the vibrant outdoors into our photos. For our wedding day photos, she took us to the iconic Ballard Locks, seamlessly blending the outdoors with an urban style. She was transparent about pricing and timing, and worked with us to create a streamlined day-of itinerary to incorporate all the types of photos we wanted captured.
Carley is a standout photographer whose attention to detail, creative eye, and editing finesse create a stunning visual narrative. She is truly a vendor who works with the people, for the people. We highly recommend her for those seeking a dependable, personable, and exceptionally talented wedding photographer. You rock, Carley!! -

There are way too many things to list in a single review about how thrilled we are to have had Carley with us on our wedding day. TL;DR: Hire her NOW!!
To give you a long explanation, she is an absolute gem. My husband and I spoke to a handful of photographers to really get a sense of who we wanted to work with. We knew it was important to have someone that we really vibed well with, but since we got engaged moments before COVID started, meeting vendors in person was not an option. Having our first meeting with Carley, even via Zoom, we knew she was the perfect photographer for us. She was warm, she was light, she had a sense of humor, and we were immediately put at ease.
We booked a wedding package with her that included an engagement shoot, which is well worth it. We loved being able to get to know Carley before our wedding day, and we had such a blast. She knows exactly how to place you and pose you in a way that feels natural and highlights our connection. The 45-minute shoot felt like it flew by and we were so happy to have the time with her to chat and relax. She got our photos back to us way faster than I expected and even sent a couple of sneak peeks days after the shoot!
Fast forward to the end of 2020 and with no end to COVID in sight, Carley worked with us on rescheduling our wedding date and even went so far as to prioritize our wedding to work with us directly! This was above and beyond, especially since I know she was already booked out into 2022 at that point. She is a POPULAR lady for good reason.
When the day finally rolled around, it felt like working with a close friend that we hadn't seen in a long time but immediately picked up where we left off. She immediately took the pressure off what I always imagined to be a stressful and overly-posed experience of wedding portraits. Everything felt natural and fun. She captured not just the important visuals of the day but also the emotions BEHIND those images. I can tell in each of the photos that this was the happiest day of our lives.
I would 100% recommend Carley for any life event, wedding, engagement, maternity shoot, or anything in between. We feel like we've gotten to know her on a personal level over the years, she's one of the few vendors I worked with who reached out to me regularly just to check in and chat over my COVID-extended 2.5-year engagement. Take my advice and book her now!! -

I fell in love with Carley's work long before our wedding. As soon as we were engaged I reached out to Carley to see if our dates aligned for us to work with her - and they did! ...and then Covid hit and every other wedding vendor we had deposits with went MIA - but Carley was there for rebooking support and also leaned in to assure us all would still be perfect when we finally held our special day. It meant the world to have her cheering us on when our wedding felt so far away.
Her energy, creativity, support, and organization were all incredible from the very first inquiry email to receiving our wedding gallery. We loved Carley's in person style of making us feel comfortable and confident and could not imagine anyone more fun following us around on this magical day. We are in love with our wedding gallery and hope to work with Carley when we begin to grow our family. She is truly the wedding photographer I dreamed of. I honestly cannot recommend her enough!

your search for a photographer has ended
Carly is literally what dreams are made of! We had Carly capture our engagement and our day of photos. Honestly, I can’t imagine having another photographer take our photos. As two (very) awkward people, Carly made it so easy for us to feel comfortable in front of the camera and it truly shows in the photos we got back.
On our wedding day, Carly showed up ready to hit the ground running. She knew the best places to take photos in the area which was great because we got to take that many more photos. Carly also had a helping hand making sure things went smoothly for our day which was so kind of her- she literally asked us if we needed drink refills at dinner! She came prepared with all of our family photo requests and was awesome at herding our families for them. Needless to say, she was absolutely amazing down to the details.
I knew from the pictures I’d seen that Carly was talented, but all of the photos we got back were out of this world beautiful. I have no idea how she does it! From the detail photos all the way to the reception, there’s not a moment that she didn’t capture. I wish I had more words to describe the photos we got back, but perfect about sums it up.
Afterwards, we had several family members and friends even comment how amazing and hard working she was all night.
Looking back, Carly was BY FAR our favorite vendor we worked with throughout the entire process. We absolutely cannot wait to have all of our photos taken by Carly in the future. -

Carley is simply the best!
I am so fortunate to have had Carley be our wedding photographer, especially during these frustrating covid times full of delays and uncertainty. First, I would've never scheduled an engagement shoot but am so glad it was part of our package - it was a great way to get to know her which she may so easy. She customized a playlist for us during the shoot and was generous with her time. Then covid hit and she was so flexible and gracious which during two reschedules, seriously reducing the stress of it all.
I appreciated the questionnaire she sent in advance of our wedding to learn who and what was important to us to have captured on our day so we didn't have to deal with logistics on the day. Finally, on the wedding day, it was like a friend was hanging out with us while getting ready. She paid attention to all the details and snapped lots of candids which I love. She put everyone at ease, was fun to be around, and blended into the scene (I've been at weddings where the photographers were like flies buzzing around the ceremony, distracting from the moment - she was far from that!).
The photobooth was totally worth it!! I was on the fence at first but both for the experience it provided our guests (perfect ongoing activity at the reception) and the photos we received were so fun! Highly recommend! (she went to the separate wedding venue in advance, adding more time to her day, to have it set up for when everyone arrived).
Carley went above and beyond in every aspect and the pictures are AMAZING. She has an eye for capturing the small moments that would otherwise go unnoticed. Would hire her again in an instant! -

Not only is her quality of work incredible, but she’s also just a stellar person you want following you around all day.
Carley was someone I stumbled upon in a never-ending scroll on Instagram looking for vendors and wedding inspiration. I’ve followed a few photographers for a while, but I didn’t think their style was exactly what I was looking for. Then comes Carley, I swooned over her range of intimate couple shots, fun candid’s, and her creative vision. You know, the ones you’re posing for that you cannot even picture what the end result will look like but then turn into complete magic?
Last thing, her attention to detail is EVERYTHING. She makes sure you cover all bases, and she brings up things that I would’ve ever have thought of until the very last minute.
We cannot wait to hire Carley again for future shoots!
PS: Highly recommend compiling the photos into a coffee table book. They’re just THAT good. :)

Hiring Carley was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From our very first call, she was warm, enthusiastic, and made us feel completely comfortable. Our wedding had to be postponed due to covid restrictions and Carley was so accommodating and flexible to work with. She really cared about making our day special and was so thoughtful with her suggestions and advice. On the day of our wedding she was so fun to work with and kept the energy up all day. We were referred to Carley by a family friend and we could not be more happy with our experience! She is no doubt extremely talented in what she does - she captures true kodak moments and get's your best angle with every shot. As amazing as her work is, what we loved most about working with Carley was how fun she is to be around, especially when it can feel awkward to be photographed at times. She makes you feel so comfortable and confident, cheering you on the entire time and finding ways to make you be yourself and not feel so posed. She is a fast/effective communicator, extremely dependable and was also very supportive in working with us in having to reschedule our 2020 wedding. Oregon Elopement
We found Carley through instagram and immediately fell in love with her work. She made us feel comfortable and our photos are flawless. Best photographer ever!
Carley is amazing! She is so much fun to hangout with and you can tell how much she enjoys working. We fell in love with her during our engagement photo shoot and everyone at the wedding loved her as well. I love how much she truly enjoys what she does. It makes you so excited when she gets excited about taking your photos. I always thought I would be stiff during pictures because I get nervous pretty easily but shes so fun to be around and she makes you feel so comfortable. Also her photos turn out fantastic everytime! Professional, Creative & Fun

Carley was such a great joy to work with. So friendly, professional, offered great tips and advice, always prompt to return phone calls and emails. Leading up to the wedding day she made sure everything was planned as far as what shots I wanted to be captured and who were going to be in my photos. She gave great advice when I needed to hear what I should do with either wanting photos with everyone at our 300+ wedding guests or whether we just needed to go and have fun... she is a great photographer and the photos she took turned out amazing and I felt absolutely beautiful just looking at them. Saved the day!
Carley saved the day by photographing our wedding reception! We were canceled on by another photographer a few weeks before our wedding, so I wrote Carley telling her of the situation. She somehow made the date work, and got on a plane and headed to our wedding! I could never have asked that of anyone, but Carley has shown to be the type of person to do anything for anybody. She is an expert at all things wedding. In our planning phase, she taught me so much about simple wedding traditions and what things to focus on. She immediately became friends with our families when they met and is now our friend for life. We are so grateful she is the one to capture all of our most beautiful moments. If you want stunning photographs and an incredible person beside you on your wedding day, look no further. -
