Absolutely incredible!!

8 years ago when I graduated high school, Carla did my hair and makeup for my senior pictures and my mom and I both agreed that day whenever I got married, we would definitely have her do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Fast forward to July 2022 when I got engaged…Carla was the FIRST person we reached out to! I cannot express how amazing she is to work with. From her communication skills, to her INCREDIBLE talent, I truly can’t recommend her enough. Carla knows how to make you feel your most beautiful, authentic, natural self as a bride. She made the hair and makeup process for my mom, my bridesmaids and I so much fun. Rest assured she truly knows best- I told her “just do whatever you think will look best!” and she absolutely NAILED it! The Best HMU Artist!

Carla is the BEST! All of the bridesmaids, mothers, & I LOVED our hair and makeup. Our hair stayed all day long. Our makeup was unique to each of us & Carla listened to what each woman wanted. She has the best energy and was such a great addition to our wedding morning/getting ready experience. Cannot recommend her enough!

Beautiful Hair and Makeup

Carla did a phenomenal job on me and my bridesmaid's hair and makeup! She is willing to travel anywhere and she came right to the rental house we were staying at and was able to complete hair and makeup for a total of 4 people in about 4 hours. She is very kind and offers her professional opinion that is tailored to each client. The makeup looked natural but had excellent coverage that photographed very well. Our hair held all day and never felt like it was coming loose or was going to fall out. The price was very reasonable for the services we received. Pricing was based on each individual, so she is a great option whether you are having a big or small wedding. Would highly recommend Carla to any bride!

Steel Magnolias

Felt beautiful on a beautiful day!

After searching high and low for months for a HMUA for my big day, I was so lucky to find Carla and so grateful that she was available! Perfect wedding day hair and makeup

There is nobody else I wanted to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day! I was so excited when I reached out to Carla and she was available to do hair and makeup for me and my sister on my wedding day. I knew it would be perfect and it was! Everything Spectacular!

Words can’t describe how wonderful it was to have Carla as my makeup artist and hair stylist for my wedding day. I decided to have my makeup and hair professionally done two months prior to my wedding - which, in the wedding world, is a short amount of time. Truly no exaggeration, I reached out to over 20 hair stylists and makeup artists within a 40-mile radius searching not only for someone available to begin with, but also willing to travel to the remote town of my wedding venue (my in-laws’ home) in Marshville. Then I hit the goldmine and found Carla. Even from our initial communication, it was clear I found the perfect match (not to mention her sweet, yet professional, personality).

As I was planning my wedding from over 2,000 miles away in Arizona, I wasn’t able to participate in a trial hair and makeup session. However, Carla’s website and Instagram had me far from concerned about her talent come wedding day. Instead, to maintain clear communication I send Carla photos of myself, my mom and my flower girl so she had a better idea on the hair type, complexion, age, etc. she would be working with. I also pulled a classic bride move and sent Carla inspiration photos from Pinterest.

Wedding day, Carla arrived before her scheduled time, set up her organized station quickly and was ready to beautify us. The experience in my moments with Carla while getting ready were so special and will forever remain one of my favorite wedding memories. Carla, myself, my mom and my sister-in-law all had a wonderful time chatting, laughing and even sharing past life experiences. It was like we had known her for years. She was timely and efficient in providing her expert services, which greatly helped ease my anxiety. Also worth mentioning: even with her outstanding skills, she was very reasonable.

The final result of Carla’s work was just perfection and numerous people confirmed that sentiment with compliments during the wedding. My hair and makeup lasted all night (even with the humidity of that day!). I don’t think I will ever feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, but I’m so thankful I have Carla to thank for that.

Find you a Carla!

I had a less than ideal experience with a different hair and makeup artist during my first trial for my wedding. To put it mildly, I knew immediately she was not my person. Shortly after deciding to go a different direction and after postponing my wedding, Carla saved the day! Carla was amazing. I had two different trials with her before my wedding. The first trial she spent so much time getting to know me and my style and making me feel comfortable and beautiful. After the first trial I decided to have a second trial to perfect the look for my special day. She knocked it out of the park! I loved it! She was so kind and responsive to my critiques. As if I hadn’t already sprung a rescheduled wedding and two different trials on her, the weather on the wedding day was not conducive to the look we had “perfected.” I was so upset but Carla so easily, and on the fly, switched things up so I felt as beautiful as I felt before even though it was not the look I had “planned.”
Find you a Carla. Seriously. You won’t regret having someone like Carla in your corner for any occasion, particularly your wedding day.

Engagement Shoot hair & make-up!

Carla did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot today! I have had to previously reschedule with her due to weather conflicts and she was flexible and worked with me each step of the way. She always responded to my emails in a timely manner and offered up her help throughout the entire process. If my wedding was not in NJ I would easily hire her for my special day because I trust that she would do a phenomenal job. She is professional and very easy to talk to! She could do celebrity hair and makeup

Our wedding venue recommended Carla to me-his recommendation was "Judging by your natural look, your tight timeline, if you want the best-it is Carla White." He was not wrong. Her style is elegant not overdone, and she kept my bridal party and me in line to keep up with our timeline. She brought her partner and also an assistant, traveled to our venue, and was very professional throughout the entire process. We chatted several times before the big day, because logistics were involved since I had 2.5 hours and there were 8 of us to style (hair and makeup). I have no idea how she finished in time, but everyone looked amazing! My updo held up through an entire day/night of dancing and my makeup was flawless. I will wait for professional photos to share, because they are necessary to get a full effect of how great everyone looked. I highly recommend Carla, because your wedding day should be drama free, time is of the essence, and everyone needs to look great. She handles all of this!!!

Carla is a hair and makeup GENIUS!!! I was so nervous about having my hair done for my wedding because my hair is short, fine and thin, and I wanted a big updo….which I figured would be near impossible. I showed up to my trial with a vague description of what I wanted but no specific idea, and Carla created the most amazing look, better than I could have imagined!! My wedding hair and makeup were both flawless, I got so many compliments and loved feeling so beautiful and confident on my wedding day. Plus, both my hair and makeup lasted over 14 hours, surviving the snow/sleet and even a round of basketball at 1 AM after the wedding, with no touch ups needed! Carla did a fabulous job on my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup as well. The time completely flew by because she is so fun to talk to! I am so ecstatic that Carla was available for my wedding and would recommend her to absolutely anyone!! She is amazing.

Carla was incredible!!! I got married this past weekend at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, NC. She was so great about being honest with what would work with my hair and let me tell you she knows her stuff! I have pretty thin but really curly hair, which can be relatively difficult to work with. I got so many compliments from everyone in attendance. Her team also did all of my girls (6 bridesmaids, MOB and MOG) AND we didn't have to start at 6 AM which, if you've started looking at different vendors happens. Carla and her team had everyone's hair and makeup done within 4 hours! If you're getting married in the area I highly recommend Carla!

I was a bridesmaid for one of my best friends. Her wedding had a 60s theme and Carla and Angela were there to do makeup and hair, respectively. First, they were on-time and so professional, but also just fabulously down to earth and friendly. We were trying not to take ourselves too seriously and have a fun morning, and they contributed immensely to that. All of us (6 bridesmaids, the bride, and the bride's mother) got airbrushing (so natural looking!!) and a fabulous 60s do of our choosing. Both Anglea and Carla were so FAST and so so beautiful. Each of us had a different 60s look, and Anglea was able to go with the flow immediately and do justice to the photos we showed her. Carla took all of our "we want to look natural" instructions and did that, but with a fancy flare. We couldn't have been happier with our looks. It was the first wedding I was a part of where I got to feel as glamorous as the bride and was able to have so much fun. If I'm ever back in Charlotte or Greensboro (or know friends who are doing events) I would recommend Carla without hesitation. Totally worth every penny!

Carla and Angela were complete dreamboats. They spent five hours on-site doing incredible vintage hair and makeup looks for my mom, six bridesmaids, and me. I was nervous about finding someone who would "get" our retro vibe for the wedding, and Carla was totally on board-- she was also super helpfully honest about what would look best on each person according to their eye shape, skin type, hair type, etc. To a person, my bridal party was SO. GORGEOUS. and they all LOVED how they looked. Carla and Angela interpreted our vintage vibe while still making each bridal party member look exactly how she wanted to look, and they were super flexible about making adjustments as we went along. Before she left for the day, Carla showed my MOH how to fix my hair throughout the night and checked back in with my bridal party to make sure no one else needed touch-ups or hairspray. To top it all off, she was lovely to hang out with and blended right in with my loud and wacky crew. Thanks again, Carla!

I cannot say enough great things about Carla White! She is simply the best. My bridesmaids' hair and makeup was nothing short of perfection. I booked Carla for my wedding hair and make up trial, as well as for myself and my sister on my wedding day. She was fabulous. She was extremely responsive to communication and flexible. I had a small vision for myself but nothing too specific and she was able to use what little input I gave her to create the most beautiful look. All night my guests were saying how amazing my and and my sister's hair and makeup looked. She arrived on time and was efficient in her work, as well as a great conversationalist. My sister and I were very sorry we had to take out our hair and wash our faces, we were so in love with our looks. I would recommend her to anyone!

Carla is the best in the business. She is quick, but thorough, detailed, precise, and just knows whats going to look good on you even if you don't. She can take you from drab to fab in 30 minutes. The airbrushing is incredible, it holds up through sweat, tears, humidity, dancing, etc. She makes you look like you had your makeup done by a trained professional, i.e. not giving you that overdone beauty counter look (no offense to anyone). Not to mention she can do a killer fishtail braid. If you want flawless makeup and great conversation she's your girl. Very reasonably priced considering her resume and reputation in the field. My bridesmaid loved her, she handled all types of skin from acne prone, acne scars, dry skin, non-makeup wearers, older skin, she can do it all and do it well. I absolutely LOVED my wedding hair and makeup!! I am not a big makeup wearer on a daily basis and Carla made me feel absolutely beautiful. My hair was exactly as I had pictured it - she stopped every few minutes and made sure that we were still on the same track with how she was styling my hair. (I wasn't able to get a trial in since I live out of state and couldn't travel up before the wedding, but everything was perfect!) She was upfront and honest with what she thought would look good or bad according to my hair type and skin tones (which I really appreciate!) I would have been a nervous wreck without Carla, she relaxed me and built my confidence so that I could be my true self in front of the camera and in front of so many people on my wedding day! She made me feel so comfortable and helped me figure out what I wanted that would work best with my dress and over all style of the wedding. I had so much fun with her and really enjoyed the special moments that are so important to a bride leading up to the wedding day and the day of. She is a true professional that puts her heart into everything she does because she wants it to be exactly what you want and have in mind, but also has a great way of giving you new ideas and accenting your features so that you own that look! Carla helped me figure out timing for the day of the wedding, talked me through fake eyelashes (which I swore I could never pull off), my un-welcomed nervous sweats, and what to do/how to feel/what to expect in front of the camera for bridal portraits. As a wedding planner, Carla is one of the very first vendors I recommend that my clients book. She is, hands down, the best in the Triad area and easily one of the best in the state so she books up fast. When it came my turn to be the bride, she was one of the few vendors that I planned my wedding date around. I was not going to walk down that aisle without Carla doing my hair and makeup. On my wedding day, she made me feel so beautiful. She was also so sweet to call after my trial run and wedding day to make sure I was happy with everything and felt my best. I had Carla do my makeup from my engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding day. She also did my 4 bridesmaids. She does beautiful work! I love love love my makeup in every photo! She is reasonably priced, especially for someone who COMES TO YOU and does airbrush. She has such a fun personality but can be a little too honest at times... maybe just warn your bridesmaids before hand, just in case any of them are a little more self-conscious about their skin/have their feelings easily hurt. I think it's great that she is 100% straight forward and honest with you, but just a heads up. lol She knows what looks good, but still listens to your vision and does everything she can to make you happy with your final look. Don't be afraid to speak up about anything at all. She wants you to be happy!! Also, even though I think $15 for the application of fake lashes is a bit much, they are so worth it. As an ex-pageant girl, falsies weren't even a question. They make a HUGE difference in photos and just finish off the already gorgeous work Carla has done!
She was easy to communicate with, flexible with scheduling, truly a fun personality, and does beautiful makeup. THANK YOU Carla for making my bridesmaids and I look amazing! :)

Stop right here and book Carla. I am so glad I did, I've never felt more beautiful. She is super talented and fun, and SO efficient. I hate getting my makeup done but she is just so quick and accurate, and really is in tune with what you're looking for. She came highly recommended by two people (my photographer and sister in law) and upon reviewing her website, I sent over an inquiry nearly a year before my wedding. Once the trial came along, I knew it was the perfect fit. We had a blast and she could tell I am not big on wearing makeup, she is just that perceptive. The day of the wedding, Carla arrived promptly even though it was Hurricane Matthewing outside. All three of my bridesmaids, my mother in law, my mom (last minute wanted airbrush which she gladly accommodated) and I had our hair/makeup done. Once one of my sisters was finished, I was just like WOW. She looked amazing and our makeup/hair stayed all night long. Carla is just amazing, everything you could want for your wedding. I even told her I need to either learn her tricks of the trade or hire her once a week, I would utilize her skills for any big event if she lets me :) Thank you so much for everything, Carla! Carla is simply the BEST! I have extremely thick/curly hair and have a difficult type finding people who "get" my hair and complexion, but Carla completely nailed the look I wanted. I have never felt more gorgeous! Carla and her team handled my 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 2 grandmothers and a last minute addition quickly and kept us on our VERY tight schedule. Each and every woman LOVED her hair and makeup and they all lasted through the night! One of my bridesmaids said it was the first time she's *EVER* liked her hair professionally done on the first try. Carla and her associate did an amazing job on both my make up and my wedding party, including my mother and mother-in-law. Carla was able to complete my hair and make up on time, looking fabulous, and lasting all night. Not to mention that when we got the photographs back it looked incredible there too. I felt like myself on our wedding day just more polished and styled than I otherwise would look. Carla is really friendly, fun to work with, and we all really enjoyed the process. I definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to look gorgeous and polished on their wedding day and well into the night.

This woman is TALENTED! I wish I could just hire Carla to be my personal stylist--she's amazing and super sweet! She did makeup for my bridal portraits and for 8 bridal party members (myself included) on my wedding day. Not only did she completely charm us all with her upbeat, fun attitude, but everyone raved about how she knew exactly how to bring out their natural beauty. My bridesmaids said they felt like supermodels, and I'm not normally a girly girl, but I felt like a queen! Carla was amazing to work with. First of all, my hair is extremely thick and doesn't hold curl very well. Carla made sure that she did everything she could to ensure my hair lasted all day/night. She makes sure that you feel absolutely beautiful on your wedding day. When she arrived at my venue, I was busy trying to help set everything up and starting to get a little bit stressed/anxious. She pulled me into the room to do my hair and makeup and completely eased any kind of stress about getting everything ready that I had. She assured me that everyone else could get everything set up and ready and I should be relaxing and just taking in the day. I cannot praise her enough for her wonderful work and her positivity. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carla. She is a true artist; incredibly talented, with a strong work ethic, sweet spirit and just plain fun. I first met Carla when my mom and I had a hair/makeup trial run months in advance of my wedding. From the get go, Carla listened to what we wanted and delivered, leaving us both feeling and looking beautiful. The day of the wedding, Carla arrived early and was set up in no time. All four of my bridesmaids, my mom and I had our hair and makeup done. Every one of us looked and felt AH-MAZING. The makeup and hair stayed in place all night even through a rain storm, intense humidity and furious dancing! As far as pictures, we all looked flawless in every one of them. Carla was amazing! All of my girls, Moms, Grandma and myself got our hair and makeup done. Everyone was gorgeous! I did a trial run with Carla and would highly recommend it, it was super helpful to work the kinks out and find out how things would hold for the big day and what adjustments needed to be made. OMG... Carla White seriously is the sweetest person you will ever meet and is beyond amazing with makeup and Hair!!! I was in total awe over my hair and makeup for my wedding and bridal portraits! Carla White was AMAZING. Very talented and the perfect person for any girl's big day or special event. Easy to talk to, and she will make your hair and makeup look exactly how you want it to. I received a million comments at my wedding reception regarding how great my hair and makeup looked, and my photographer was blown away that my hair and makeup still looked flawless late into the evening. I have combination greasy/dry skin, and usually after an hour my makeup starts to melt off. On my wedding day, Carla did my hair and makeup at 10:00 am, and when my ceremony began at 4:00 I still looked flawless. My skin never became greasy and the makeup never melted off in spite of the 80 degree outside temperature. This was a fantastic experience, and I am so grateful that I found Carla. She made my wedding day PERFECT!!!

I was VERY pleased with Carla's effort to make my hair and makeup perfect for my wedding. She was already booked for another wedding in the afternoon so I booked her for the morning to do my makeup (as she assured it would last all day--it did!) while one of her stylists, Kristina, came to do hair. I did a trial with both of them and after sitting all day with the hairstyle I had, I wanted to go a different direction. I found a few photos to better describe the look I wanted. Carla wanted to make sure I was happy so after my makeup was finished, she stayed until the very last minute she could to work together with Kristina to make sure I was 100% happy. And I was!!! They were both wonderful to me, my bridesmaids and mother.
Carla will come to you, she's easy to work with, she's professional and she has a wonderful personality. I highly recommend her!!

Let me just say, I love Carla! On my wedding day there were 13 of us getting hair and makeup done. Carla and her team rocked it! All of my bridesmaids' hair and makeup was flawless and exactly what they wanted. Some people want less makeup, others want more, Carla works within everyone's comfort zone while still creating a consistent look. The girls' hair was also perfection and lasted all night...through humidity and dancing!

As for myself, once Carla was done with me, it was the most gorgeous I had ever looked or felt! Carla asked for pictures of hair and makeup that I liked beforehand and on the day of she executed the looks, but to accommodate my specific hair, face structure and coloring. If I do say so myself, I looked stunning.

Carla did an amazing job with me and my 3 bridesmaids for my wedding day! She is extremely professional, and I had complete faith in her. She has a wonderful "eye" for what looks good on each individual. My bridesmaids were thrilled with their hair and makeup as well!

I typically don't wear makeup, but Carla assured me that she would make sure I looked beautiful, not fake, I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup! I looked natural, and many guests commented at how "light" my makeup looked. Both my hair and makeup lasted from 10AM until 11PM that night, even after being in the hot sun for photos, and dancing the night away at our reception.

Carla did an amazing job with my hair and makeup! I was nervous about having someone do my makeup after a couple of bad mall makeup counter experiences...but the airbrush that Carla does is wonderful. Thanks to Carla, my wedding day hair and makeup were exactly what I've always dreamed!:) She has a great personality and made getting ready with all of my bridesmaids so much fun! She is very professional and even with a large bridal party of 7 bridemaids, myself and my Mom, she kept us all on schedule and helped make the day perfect! What an amazing woman! If you want to feel like a million bucks on your wedding day, hire Carla! I sent her a picture of what I wanted, kind of a vintage look, and voila, she made it happen! My maid of honor and I had so many compliments about how we looked and it was mostly due to Carla and her magician-like skills. My skin is oily and make-up never seems to last, but through tears, laughter, and copious amounts of wine, my make-up stayed put!

I honestly have to say that Carla did everything in her power to make me beautiful for my wedding! She responded to every one of my emails and was very professional. I would recommend Carla to all of my future bride friends! She is so great at making you look beautiful, but still like yourself. She wants her brides to be happy with the way they look and doesn't stop until you are completely satisfied, which doesn't take long! Carla did hair and makeup for my whole bridal party and my mom and mother in law and everyone was pleased. It poured down rain during my ceremony and everyone still looked fabulous!

Carla and her team made us look fabulous. She was a pleasure to work with in planning for the day. We had a wonderful trial and felt so good about hair and makeup for the bride, which made us so relaxed the day of the wedding. The team arrived perfectly on time and had a very realistic schedule. Carla is THE BEST! She did such an amazing job with hair and makeup for the bride, mothers, and eight other lovely ladies. She was very flexible and willing to travel to Chapel Hill for the wedding day and for my trial just a few days before the wedding. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure I was 100% happy with everything. She did such an amazing job, even our photographer commented how great the makeup looks in pictures! She also worked quickly (and flawlessly), since I was doing a first look session and family portraits before the ceremony--she made sure everyone was ready to go on time, which was a huge help. She did a phenomenal job, I recommend her to any bride who wants to look gorgeous!

Carla made my mom, my bridesmaids and I look so absolutely awesome on my wedding day. Everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup and I still can't get over how adorable my mom looked :) She was also really great about keeping us all on a schedule, which kept the stress levels down for the whole group.

A few weeks before my wedding I met Carla for a trial and I instantly fell in love with her personality and style. I am so happy I chose Carla to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and bridal photos. She has a true talent and you can tell she loves what she does. I was amazed at how fast she works! Her technique is so efficient and versatile. You can change your mind and its not a problem because she works so quickly! I love the products and tools she uses for hair too. The makeup portion went great as well. The MAC airbrush is fantastic! It leaves your skin glowing and flawless. I also like the way she does eye makeup and lashes. The overall look is so pretty and classy. I definitely recommend Carla for hair and makeup for any occasion, but especially weddings!

Carla and I did a trail run of both hair and make up, she was so easy to work with, very fast to respond, and so helpful. There is nothing I would change. Carla is an amazing makeup artist and made my hair and makeup for the day extra special! She's fun, knowledgeable, and professional, and was able to give me exactly what I wanted while making me look amazing for my wedding. She also did my maid of honor's makeup and my mother's and they both looked amazing too. My maid of honor showed her a picture of an updo she liked and Carla was able to replicate it perfectly. The environment was also fun and very relaxed, and it was great to have a few hours to just get pampered and de-stress. I would highly recommend Carla, and I plan on going to her in the future for all of my beauty needs.

Really, really loved Carla! I loved her style - naturally pretty, I would call it. And her prices were really great. It was important to me that I look pretty, not naked or like a clown and her style fit that perfectly. I also wanted someone that could come to our hotel and get ready in the room without paying an arm and a leg. Her area is Greensboro, so it did require a travel fee for her to come to Raleigh. But it was worth it! I met with her in the summer for a hair trial, and she took the two pictures I brought and optimized the styles for my own hair type and lenght. For the day-of, we decided it might look nicer to bulk up my hair with clip-in extensions and she worked them in fabulously. Lots of people told me they loved my hair and had no idea that half of it was fake!! She was also super quick, even with quite a few people getting hair and make-up - I was impressed!!

Every bride should look and feel beautiful on their wedding day, and Carla White is the person to make it happen! I was a little hesitant to work getting my hair and make-up done professionally in to my budget, but it was the best decision I made! As girls, it is typical to be a little self-conscious about our looks (especially if we are going to be able to standing infront of all of our closest friends and family, not to mention getting pictures taken left and right), but I have never felt MORE confident in myself than on my wedding day, and it is 100% because of Carla. Not only is her work amazing, but her sweet personality and genuine desire to make everyone look and feel pretty are absolutely priceless!

Before I even moved to America to get married I had found Carla's website purely by chance. I knew straight away she would be perfect and she didn't let me down! She was a pleasure to work with, very relaxed and calm and knowledgeable about what will work and look best. She tells you what she is doing and why so you know exactly what is going on, gives you reviews throughout the process so you can change if you wish. My flower girls looked so very pretty and everyone commented on how beautiful I looked.
