Amazing bridal salon

I had a wonderful experience with Carine’s! I went dress shopping in July of 2019, and my mom and I had a great time. We had our own private area to try on dresses, and there was only one other group in the salon at the same time as us. Briana was so helpful in picking out dresses in the styles I said I was interested in, as well as suggesting some silhouettes I never would have expected for myself. We ended up falling in love with a beautiful Lela Rose gown that we purchased that weekend! My original wedding date was supposed to be in August of 2020, but due to COVID we had to postpone. Carine’s was able to store my dress for a small extra fee, and I felt safe knowing the whole time it was in good hands. When it finally did come time to do my fittings, we had a great experience with the alterations team as well. At my last fitting we noticed the bodice of my dress wasn’t laying flat, but we were leaving for my wedding the next day. The team fixed the problem while we waited, and my dress was perfect on my wedding day! Thank you to the team at Carine’s for helping me find the dress of my dreams and for being so great to work with.

Carine's cares about their customers

The whole team at Carine's was super helpful, caring and professional. I had a great time trying out dresses there. Ended up making a special order of a dress that was not readily available in the showroom. The team really listened to my needs, responded promptly, was flexible with the arrangement and made it happen. Thank you and I am very excited to be getting married in my dream dress!

Amazing End of the Year Sale

I had an amazing experience with William at Carine’s. I wasn’t considering it originally because I thought it was out of my budget, but my wedding planner (Kaitlin at Cheers Darling) told me to try their End of Year sale, where everything’s $3,500 and under. William helped me look through both the sale and the regular section and pulled a few more dresses that he thought I’d like. I ended up falling in love with one of the sale dresses he pulled. Since it was a sample, he gave me (and the friend who came with me) some privacy so we could look over it for damage (a minor tear, a couple buttons missing), and then came back to answer questions (could we fix this button/raise this backline/etc.). He told me he’d call me in a few months to come in for alterations and accessories, and we left with my dress. It was all totally relaxed and easy, and I couldn't be happier with my dress.

Amazing sample sale!

I went to the sample sale at Carine's and found my dream dress in under an hour! Their selection of sample gowns is exquisite and I was able to find my dream designer gown very quickly. The service was excellent and the staff at Carine's made my dress-shopping experience so special.

Dresses of Your Dreams...

When I had my dress consultation at Carine’s, I couldn’t believe how many gorgeous dresses they had (in so many price ranges). I could have easily worn and been happy with at least 3 of the dress selections the assistant pulled, and kept saying, “this might be it!” But the knowledgeable assistant pulled a dress for me try on that I wouldn’t have thought was right and—don’t you know—that was The One. Carine’s makes your wedding fairytale dreams come true!

Amazing service and selection

I had tried 3-4 different bridal stores in the NYC and DC area, and it wasn’t until I got an appt with Maddie K at Carine’s that I truly started to understand what I was looking for. Maddie took the time to understand my style and my venue, and provided such useful guidance as I tried dresses on. She also worked with the designer to custom-order a veil to fit my preferences and match the gown. It turned out so beautifully. Our seamstress was absolutely incredible, she made the dress fit so perfectly. We were so impressed by her work! My sister is also wedding planning and after my experience, didn’t even look anywhere else. She found her gown and had an awesome experience at Carine’s too! THANK YOU, Maddie and team!

I cannot say ENOUGH about this wonderful place! Maddie was wonderful, and with her help and the assistance of Alex, the Vera Wang rep, I was able to find the most gorgeous gown and customize it within my budget. My budget was sizeable, but definitely on the lower end for couture, and they were so helpful and lovely helping me find something that was gorgeous and wouldn't break the bank.. I actually had to run to another appointment after an hour at Carine's, and they let me come back in later that day to try on my dream dress again. They have also been wonderful about communication so far. I CANNOT wait till my dream dress is mine!!! Thank you all again for all your help!

I had such great experience at Carine's! Everyone there was so patient and attentive, helping me decide on what I wanted for my wedding day. I cannot thank Jai and the other wonderful staff at Carine's enough for my experience last weekend. I dropped in to their sample sale room just on a whim between appointments and found a stunning option. I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit, so I paid to have the gown put on hold, and was told that even though they are closed on Mondays to do administrative work, Jai would open up for me and my mother and sister (who were leaving that day) if I decided to come back and wanted to try on the gown again. We showed up Monday and were let inside and, even though they were technically closed, my sister spotted an option we hadn't seen when we were there Saturday. Jai and Heaven were SO excited and helpful as I tried on this new option, and it ended up being the perfect dress for me. I can't thank them enough for their flexibility, helpfulness, and excitement. AND I got a fabulous deal on a gorgeous gown! What more could you want?!

This was the dress shopping experience my mom was waiting for. We had been to 7 stores that week and this was the last stop. The dressing rooms were large and private. The sofa was comfortable. We picked out several dresses and they brought them in a couple at a time so we didn't get overwhelmed. They helped us style the dress, discuss accessories. I have never loved a dress so much in my life. Their selection was incredible, but I think I knew the second I saw it. They only have one fee for alterations, which was nice because you don't have to worry about it if you need more than 2 fittings. I was lucky that not much needed to be changed in mine. The fittings were easy. The way they bustled the dress was great, especially since my dress was a very delicate chiffon. My final fitting was 2 weeks before the wedding and it fit like a glove.

I found my dream dress from Carine's Bridal for my August 20th, 2016 wedding and it was a big hit! Briana Abedi was a delight to work with in finding that perfect match and making sure the dress was THE PERECT FIT.... and it absolutely was! So much that Martha Stewart Weddings featured our wedding in their magazine in an 8 page spread! I've been photographing weddings in the DC area for 9 years now, so I have a lot of relationships in the wedding industry. It was a hard decision picking where to buy my dress because of my prior industry relationships but Carines had the Israeli designers that I was more interested in trying on. I was READY for something different, playful, sexy and fun. That's exactly what I got!

Where do I even start? Working with Carine and her team was an absolute dream. From my initial appointment with Jessica, to my last fittings with their team of seamstresses, everything was PERFECT. When we first went to Carine's, I had a very specific dress in mind. Upon finding out that it was not carried in any of the bridal boutiques in the area, Carine requested to borrow it from the designer so that I could try it on. I immediately fell in love and the team at Carine's took care of everything. I am so thankful that they put me in my dream dress! I can't thank Carine and her team enough.

I have to share how blessed I was to work with Carine's and my bridal consultant Lauren. In one sentence: The boutique carries the highest-end designers in the area and their relationships with those designers give them the flexibility to ensure you get your dream dress, period. If you love Ines Di Santo, this is your store.

I'd call myself a high-maintenance, indecisive, comparison shopper. I tried on more than 50 dresses at nine stores in three states, plus the District. All the while, I kept in touch with Lauren. She emailed back-and-forth with me between my three appointments, made sure the store had all the dresses I wanted to try on, and bent over backwards to keep me from settling for a dress I wasn't 100 percent in love with.

I was fortunate to have a healthy (though not limitless) budget that allowed me to go shopping for dresses in Manhattan. There I found a Marchesa gown I loved and emailed Lauren to tell her I was torn. By the time I went to my final appointment at Carine's, she and the owner Carine had reached out to Ines Di Santo to find a solution that replicated some features of the Marchesa without sacrificing the specialness of the original Ines design I adored.

When I arrived, Lauren showed me two custom sketches from Ines that I could choose from. On top of all that, Carine's was able to work out a discount so that I could afford it all. Lauren also recommended vendors for other aspects of my wedding. I'm already looking forward to an accessories appointment and my dress fittings.

Carine's made my dream dress happen. It's not an overstatement to say that Lauren and Carine saved my shopping experience. They soothed my nerves and made the final purchase the joyous moment I hoped it would be. I can't thank them enough.

These are for brides who are into fashion and who want something other than the traditional. I mean their dresses are stunning! And the staff was incredibly helpful, charming, and professional throughout the whole year. They made the whole process stress free!

Carine’s was the first bridal shop I visited and where I purchased my gown. Adele, my consultant, was a pleasure to work with, and I felt like she really understood my style and respected my budget. Carine is also wonderful and helped me to pick out my reception dress. Aziza, the seamstress did a phenomenal job on alterations for both dresses, and I can’t recommend her enough!

My experience with Carine’s could not have been better. I spent months and months looking for the perfect gown, and in the process tried on at least a dozen dresses at Carine’s alone. The girls, especially Jennifer, Briana, and Corey, became like friends because I was in there so often! I never once detected even a hint of frustration or annoyance from them. They answered my multiple emails (in which I asked for unbelievably minute details about gowns and veils) promptly and cheerfully. They ordered gowns in for me. They stayed after closing to let me keep the dress on just a few minutes longer. They even helped me FaceTime my mom who lives out of town by holding the phone and walking around the gown, answering her questions. Once I finally made a decision and ordered, the gown arrived within the time frame they gave me and was shipped to my wedding location with no problem. The selection of designers and styles was great and the frequent trunk shows really helped expand my choices. Overall great!

I purchased what I thought was "the one" from another store, only to discover the ordered dress looked nothing like I envisioned when I tried on the pinned sample size. Then I came to Carine's, and Briana was a wedding angel! She helped me find the perfect dress and far exceeded my customer service expectations. She helped reschedule my fitting when my shoes didn't arrive in time. And when I realized (too late) that I forgot to order a veil and was worried, she searched through the sample sale items to find two brand new veils that matched my dress (others had ordered them and changed their minds). She was wonderful, made the experience stress free!

I also did my alterations here, and the alteration team was fabulous as well.

Let me begin by saying that my daughter did not buy her dress here but not because she did not find a very good selection of bridal dresses to choose from and at prices that were not ridiculously expensive but because my daughter lives in New York and coming to DC for fittings would have been too complicated. I still wanted to write a review to say how impressed I was by the customer service and the many beautiful dresses that my daughter actually found there. I had already accompanied my daughter to several bridal stores in New York when she came home to DC for a long weekend. We took advantage of a few hours she had before heading back to Union Station and called Carine's to see if they could accommodate us. And they could. One of the dresses that she liked had a detail in the train that made it heavy and difficult to walk so they promised to call the designer and consult about possibly altering it. They wrote to us back and forth after consulting the designer - and unfortunately making it lighter would totally change the train which was what made the dress beautiful but Carine and Cori, in particular, were very responsive and helpful. Like I said, we ended up buying my daughter's dress in New York which made more sense considering the fittings but I was so pleased and impressed with the store that I tell all my friends with daughter's of marrying age to make Carine's a must visit in their bridal dress search.

I loved my wedding gown search experience. My mom and best friend went with me and the staff was very accommodating. They made the whole process so easy and special. They pulled gowns that fit my requirements and I found the perfect one. I am very pleased with the fitting and alterations, too.

Gaby, Gaby, Gaby Gaby!!! I cannot say more. I am fairly certain that without her I would have gray hair by now. Buying a dress is obviously stressful, especially when you are spending so much money, but Gaby was patient and honest, and very helpful. She made the process less scary and less overwhelming and she did a beautiful job at not making decisions FOR me (even when i wanted her to) rather letting me come to my own conclusions, and then confirming her agreement after the fact. I did one of the not-uncommon situations where Carine's was one of my first appointments, and then I went to everywhere under the sun including 11 appointments in NYC, 5 in Philadelphia, and almost every option in the DMV region. I found nothing and then voila! I fell in love with a brand online, Mira Zwillinger. I looked up where her designs are sold and discovered that they were at Carine's all along! AND there was a trunk show coming. They were super accommodating making me an appointment and confirming that if I made my decision that weekend, there would be no rush fee, even though i was on the borderline of it being too late. I went in on a Friday, and limited it down to three, but Gaby noticed that I was having difficulty deciding in the time parameter. She got it approved for me to return early the next morning to sleep on it, just so that I was sure, and so I did. I returned 100% sure of my choice, the Ruby. Aziza, the seamstress is fantastic - very skilled and very easy to work with. I noticed on instagram that my dress has a matching veil I did not know about, and I emailed Gaby who was able to get it for me. Aziza even sewed on a small loop so that I could wear it through my cocktail hour as well. It was a great experience and now, post wedding, I am as confident as before that it was the perfect dress.

My daughter and I went to a trunk show at Carine's in Georgetown. We expected to see a few dresses and perhaps get a handle on the style and designer of her wedding dress. We did not expect to have such a remarkable experience with such care and grace. Carine's team were engaging, patient and thoughtful. They shared the enthusiasm and understood the special nature of the dress selection. You might think, "well they should be since this is their profession". No, not every place understands the importance of matching your excitement, hesitations, insecurities and lack of knowledge. This was not the first stop we made on the journey of selecting a dress for this special day(Aprill 11, 2015), but it was the last place, because it was perfect and personal.
The care and patience was unmatched. My daughter knew she should be thorough and sure so we did not leave that day with the dress, but we knew we would return. We returned with the full intention of purchasing a dress that my daughter tried on and felt was the one. On this second visit, she tried a few more with her gal pals present and well there was one special dress that really caught her eye. Monique Lhuillier(Blush). Stunting, gorgeous, not too conservative, perfect. The dress looked perfect on her and the smiles and tears filled the room. This was it! We ordered the dress, the champagne toast took place and my daughter found the dress that matched her wedding plans and her style perfectly. She was ready to take on the rest of her planning now that she found this dress that complemented her skin tone, body and style. You can find dresses everywhere, but the dresses at Carine's are special and the selection is nice and the wedding team are just delightful. Hello brides to be---don't waste your time. This is a special event and special day, start with a special experience.
The fittings were scheduled well in advance and the tailoring was exceptional. Well done!

I have had the absolute best experience at Carine's and specifically with Cori -- whose patience with my indecisiveness was incredible! I went specifically knowing I wanted Berta, and while I found a dress I loved, they suggested I rebook for when the Berta Trunk Show was in town a few weeks later. I AM SO HAPPY I WAITED! I found my dream dress, with the trunk show discount, and they worked with the designer to expedite my dress without the rush fee, even when we had a venue and date change. They are professional, wonderful and I wouldn't trade my experience there for anything (I tried other bridal boutiques and nothing compared). While I haven't received my dress yet (1 more month!), I would highly suggest Carine's to anyone looking for an incredible dress shopping and selecting experience.

I highly recommend Carine's. I expect that for most people the decision of where to shop for a wedding dress comes down to who carries the designers that you like and that are in your budget. That said, you will be certain to get great service if you do end up at Carine's. Her dresses do trend toward the higher end of the range. But, they are not all hugely expensive. I went to my appointment prepared to spend much more than I did and found that the perfect dress for me was in the $3,000 neighborhood. Regardless of what you spend, you will get the highest end treatment.

During my initial appointment, I appreciated that all the dresses were out where I could really see them. My consultant followed my lead on the direction of the appointment and made the whole process very comfortable. I selected a Liancarlo gown with some modifications. I assume it depends on the designer the extent to which changes can be made, but the ladies at Carine's were certainly very accommodating of them. There was also some question as to whether I needed to order extra length for the dress because I was right on the cusp of needing it. It was great to have the collective experience of the women there to make the decision.

For as positive as the rest of the experience was, the seamstress was the best part. My dress fit perfectly and lay beautifully. To make sure I was happy with the way the lace on the bodice fell, she modified my undergarment and added ribbing to the dress below my chest. This was all to correct something I most likely would have been the only one to notice.

Everything about Carine's was amazing. Their dress selection is by far the best of all of the places I went (although a bit pricey). But their customer service is top notch. I had three fittings for my wedding dress, and they called me when my dress came in, when they mailed it to me, and when anything was ready (i.e. for my veil). Everyone who works their is pleasant. They balanced the personalities of my overly excited mom with my more relaxed vibe quite well. I would highly recommend anyone to this store.

Walking into Carine's the first time was like walking into a bridal couture museum. Every single gown looked like it had been personally selected to be in the store. Instead of having every gown from a designer, only the most gorgeous were there. That's how curated and detailed Carine's is. The staff is so knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Everyone was accommodating about scheduling fittings and measurements. I had tried on a LOT of dresses before arriving at Carine's so by that time I had a good idea what I was looking for and what looked best. Kelley totally got it and picked out my dream dress. It was incredible! Thanks so much to everyone at Carine's- it was such a pleasure to work with everyone!

If I had to choose one word to describe Carine, Jessica, Maddie, and the entire team at Carine's, it would be: Amazing. Ok, I'd actually like to throw a second word in there, too: Unparalleled. They go above and beyond to make sure the gown search experience is perfect and they truly care about their clients. Throughout my long dress journey, I never felt like just another customer, and Carine even gave me her cell phone number at one point in case I had any questions or concerns. I think that says a lot.

I first visited Carine's a few years before my own engagement, as a supportive bridesmaid, and the salon made such a wonderful first impression that I knew I'd be back one day for my own wedding. Fast forward to my engagement in 2013 and Carine's was at the top of my list. The salon couldn't be more gorgeous and the selection of gowns is incredible, but I really had my eye on Monique Lhuillier from the get-go.

Jessica was my (incredible, knowledgeable, personable, knew-the-right-questions-to-ask-and-truly-listened-to-me) consultant, and I finally said "YES!" on my third visit to Carine's. It was just such a wonderful experience, and the mini champagne bottles my mom and I were given to celebrate finding "THE dress" didn't hurt either!

I ran into a few dress snafus (not by any fault of Carine's), so I ended up having more fittings than normal. This just meant that I had the pleasure of getting to know the amazing staff even better than I would have in a different situation. Each time I saw my dress I fell more and more in love with it, and I couldn't have been happier on my wedding day! I would rewind and work with Carine's all over again in a heartbeat!

Carine's has so many dresses to choose from with various price points and the ladies there listen and help you find a dress that fits your personality and style. The alterations team is amazing and so kind. I just had the best experience throughout all of my fittings. Carine is definitely intimately involved and checks in frequently during fittings, etc. Highly recommend!

Don't waste your time going anywhere else in DC, Carine's Bridel Atelier has the best selection and service you can find! Carine's was the second bridal shop I visited on my dress hunt. At the first shop I saw a belt I loved and the store would not sell it seperately. Then I saw the same belt at Carine's and they sold it to me! I ended up finding a sample dress that I loved and looked perfect with the belt, but I had to make a decision on the spot because they couldn't put the sample on hold. The sales associate was so helpful in helping me make a decision and I left that day with the dress! Being a sample we had some issues along the way with the drycleaning and Carine went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the dress. The alterations were perfect and the dress couldn't have looked more perfect on my wedding day!

Carine’s is a cute little bridal shop in Georgetown. I came here to get my Dress altered (did not buy from Carines). At first the $700 flat fee seemed pretty steep, but based on their reviews and nice staff, I decided to go for it. This was probably the best $700 I could have spent – you get three fittings total. I forget the name of the seamstress, but she worked her magic on my dress. She knew what would look good and flatter my shape. By the last fitting, my dress fit like a glove. I loved my dress, but more importantly I loved how it fit! Thank you so much Carine’s!

Every part of my experience at Carine's was amazing. From dress shopping to alterations I could not say more about how great the shop, the staff or the dress was. I was initially very nervous for dress shopping but my fears were relieved the moment I arrived in Carine's beautiful shop and started working with the staff. They were professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. And then I began trying on dresses. A good variety of classic and modern dresses coupled with a staff that knows their designers and what will work best on a bride's body made for an easy choice. I found my dress the first day I shopped and this was totally due to shopping at Carine's. I could not have been happier and everyone loved my dress!

I walked into this store just looking for styles, not ready to purchases anything. I was shocked to find the dress of my dreams. It is/was stunning. It was also in the trunk sale they were having. I got the most amazing deal on an outstanding designer gown. The ladies were very helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. Carine was often there and took extra time to explain travel and emergency care since I was traveling to my wedding. Alterations were flawless and my bustle did not break, despite getting stepped on countless times. Everyone was great and dresses were varied styles. Lovely store and made my day.

I had a wonderful time working with Carine's Bridal Atelier. From start to finish, the staff was attentive, quick to respond and made finding the dress of my dreams as easy as possible. The selections were terrific and gave me a variety of styles and prices to work with. My alterations were flawless, even those decided on during my final dress fitting. I mentioned these alterations when I picked up my dress. At first the recommendation was to not try the dress on due to all the pressing and prep work that had been done for the day. The staff picked up on my nerves right away and insisted that I try the dress on before leave. Having the staff notice my apprehension and letting me try the dress on before leaving the store for the final time proved to me that they cared more about my comfort and statisfaction than anything. I would recommend them to anyone in an instant!

Dress shopping here was a great experience! Literally the second dress I tried on was the one, and they were able to give me the floor sample at a nice discount. Everyone at Carine's has been so helpful and accommodating. I am getting married in Washington DC, but live abroad. They have been able to really work around my schedule and do some last minute fittings without a problem. Definitely recommend!

This review is for alterations only! I did not purchase my gown through Carine's Bridal Atelier. I received it through a military organization for military brides. However, It needed to be altered and Carine's had the best reviews and they are a dealer of my dress's designer. The entire staff is awesome! They always called to confirm my appointments and even when I had to change an appointment, they were very accommodating. Everyone I spoke to was always polite, professional and informative. When I picked up my dress they made sure to go over everything with me and my dress was pressed and ready to go for my big day! It fit perfectly and I swear they brought my dress to life, as it is an older design! They even gave me information on preserving my dress after my wedding! The boutique is filled with gorgeous dresses and accessories and they always have different trunk shows going on. I would definitely check them out if you are looking for your prefect dress for your perfect day!

Of all the bridal shops I have visited, Carine's was by far the best (best staff and best selection of designers). All of the sales girls were enthusiastic, interested in my opinion and the styles/details I was looking for and they didn't judge me for visiting the store 5 times before finally making deciding which dress I wanted. :-) I bought my dress at the Monique Lhuillier trunk show in August 2012 and I requested probably about 10 dresses for them to bring in for me to try on and they had every one of them waiting for me when I arrived. They also helped me and my mom celebrate after I found "the one" and gave us some pink champagne and a hefty Bloomingdale's gift bag, along with many samples of gourmet wedding cake made by Carine's sister. My sales girl was Gabriella who was great and I'll be going back there in a week to purchase my bridesmaid dresses (also Monique Lhuillier).

I found Carine's during my first five minutes of basic google research for bridal boutiques in the DC area. I made an appointment online and within a day received a friendly email confirming that they look forward to seeing me that weekend. I came into Carine's convinced I want a traditional all lace wedding dress. Definitely not strapless and definitely not chiffon. Straps, preferrably sleeves I said. Ashley, Carine's consultant, was friendly and welcoming, and brought me everything I asked for. She also brought me a dress, which looked nothing like what I wanted, but was in my price range and was so different that I figured why not. The moment I put the dress on I got that warm and fuzzy feeling like we were meant to be (the same one I got six years ago on my first date with my now husband :)). It was a strapless, chiffon, Grecian inspired Monique Lhullier which I simply couldn't make myself take off. Ashley also recommended a beautiful white beaded sash, which made the dress look simply stunning. There were tears of joy, hugs and champage. Did I mention my wedding was a mere five months ahead...? Carine and her staff were more than accommodating to my tight deadline and were extremely patient with me and my general lack of knowledge of all things bridal. Not once did I feel pressured to buy the gown or any complementary accessories. I received honest and truthful opinions about how I looked. It meant a lot when Carine said to me she wanted me to look like myself on my wedding day. And so I did. The wedding was everything I dreamed of. My dress was perfect for the venue (outdoors in the mountains) and fit me and my personality like a glove. I have never felt happier in my life, which of course was a factor of my wonderful husband and our our beautiful celebration, but also of my dream wedding gown.

P.S. Carine's seamstresses were also absolutely fantastic!!! Thank you to the entire team :)

Amazing! I purchased my wedding dress from Carine's after looking in 4 other stores. I actually found the dress I ended up buying at Carine's first, but wanted to keep looking; Carine and her team were very patient with me and completely understood that a bride needs to shop around. They were not pushy or salesy at all! I ended up buying a Rivini Lismora dress from Carine's and when it came in 6 months later, I loved it just as much as when I bought it. During the fitting and alterations process, we had trouble getting the dress to fit perfectly due to all the layers and different materials in the construction of the dress. Carine's team was very patient with me and the alterations, and worked tiredlessly to get it just right. In fact, the day I was scheduled to leave for my wedding, the seamstress met with me 3 times and stayed until 9 PM (hours after the store closed) to make sure it fit perfectly. In the end, my dress was perfect and I was super, super happy with their professionalism and service. Thank you Carine and team!!

Jessica, thank you so much. I've never been soooooooooo comfortable in a dress that I was in my wedding dress or should I say skirt! Monique's Magical skirt looked so simple, chic and stunning that Im kind of sad I cant wear it again! it was so comfortable that I had no problem dancing and moving around with it all night during my reception!

Carine has great taste! After trying on a few dresses, and listening to what I liked, she encouraged me to try on a Jenny Lee dress. While on the hanger, the dress didn’t jump out at me. However, when I tried the dress on, it was perfect! She was right. Carine and her staff were so patient, kind, and flexible. They were having a sale the month I purchased the dress, so I even received a beautiful veil with my dress. I did my alterations at the store as well. There were never any delays with the dress order or with alterations. I even got a little sentimental when I picked up the final version of my dress from the store because Carine with was with me from start to finish, and this was the end! Baltimore has a paltry and boring collection of bridal gowns, so I drove down to Carine's by myself to attend a sample sale on a cold Sunday morning in December. 1 1/2 hours later after the start of the sale, I leave with the most glorious dress ever for a fraction of the cost (try 80%).

I had originally wanted a lace dress with train that wasn't strapless (a la Carolina Herrera), but instead I bought a strapless chiffon dress without train! It was instant love. The dress, designed by Junko Yoshioka, was in pristine condition considering it was from the Spring '08 collection (I bought it Fall '09).

Even though this was a sample sale and Georgetown, there was zero snootiness and only very helpful, friendly salespeople willing to help. All of the women were very well versed in bridal gown lingo and trends and gave great advice.

My dress became the centerpiece of my wedding and I have Carine's to thank for it!

Carine and her staff are fantastic! They are supportive and complimentary as you search to find the perfect dress for you. Carine's collection of dresses is also some of the best in the DC area. I purchased a Carolina Herrera from her and the experience was easy, fun, and very personal. They get to know all the brides by name and remember details about my wedding and experience. I'll miss going there for fittings to see the beautiful dresses, talk with all the lovely girls and Carine who work there, and sit in the beautiful dress shop. All of the girls at Carine's are SO helpful and sweet. Carine offers help wherever you need it. Their connections with the designers are very helpful- I combined 2 styles from a designer and Carine managed to have the designer do it! If the designer did not know who Carine was, I don't think that would have happened. My dress was gorgeous, original, top quality, and the women who did the sewing and fittings were very helpful. Carine's Bridal made my dress fit like a glove and I felt so confident walking down the aisle knowing my dress looked perfect on me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Carine's Bridal. I had the pleasure to work with Carine herself and am happy to share my great experience. Not only was she extrememly knowledgeable about all the dresses and designers that she carries, but she gave honest opinions. More than that, I was happy to find a bridal store that cared about my dress even after I paid for it. All the girls there were really helpful and sweet. I had a bit of "dress remorse" after I purchased the dress, and the girls there were so sweet and helped my through it. I also had to move some of my fittings around, and they always acommodated my schedule. Also, I wanted to note to look online at their sample dresses because I got a GOREGOUS sample dress. Had I not got a sample, I would not have been able to afford such a designer dress. The sample dresses are in great condition, so make sure you take a look!

I have to say that going around in DC, I found some stores that might have had more dresses, but some really nasty sales people. I am so happy that I ended up buying my dress at Carines versus some other stores.

She was so sweet and knowledgeable and made the rest of my dress experience one of my favorites throughout the wedding process. Carine and her staff were just wonderful. I felt like I was going to hang out with friends for all of my fittings! Carine's seamstress is also very talented! I was nervous that my strapless dress would be falling down all night, but she did such a wonderful job! My dress looked and fit absolutely perfectly!! Carine and the seamstress also worked for hours to help get my bustle just right. They truly cared and made this such a fun experience. I got sooo many compliments on how beautiful my dress was. Carine and her staff, especially Amanda and Fely, were by far the best vendors I had throughout my entire wedding planning experience. They treated me like family, taking on my wedding day as if it were their own. Not only are they fashion savy, which is hard to find in conservative D.C., but they are honest and not after your money like every other vendor. They'd tell me honestly what worked best with my look and style and body shape, and took care of every detail meticiously, even though I was on a tight budget. I never felt pushed into anything...they just helped me through the process of finding my best look. Fely, their seamstress, finished off my dress impecably in record time, charging me less than half of what other seamstresses had quoted me. Finally, the boutique has a very calm yet stylish setting, making fittings and multiple visits an absolute pleasure...arriving there feels like a relaxing break among the wedding planning stress world. If you want a positive and tranquil dress/attire shopping experience, regardless of your budget, Carines is the place!

I would recommend Carine's to every bride looking for their wedding gown. Prior to visiting to Carine's, I had been to two other shops in DC/Virginia and left each time feeling disappointed. Carine and her exceptional staff made the experience of selecting a wedding gown so amazing! They were attentive, knowledgeable, and very professional. I was the only customer in the salon during my appointment and made to feel like the day belonged to me. I can't thank Carine and her wonderful staff enough for making me feel so special and helping me select a gown that blew my husband away on our wedding day!

There are no words to describe how wonderful Carine and her assistant Amanda were in helping my daughter in selecting a wedding dress. My daughter had been to 4 shops. She had an idea of what she wanted but she needed someone with patience and understanding to help her define what she wanted. She found that at Carine's. There was never any pressure from Carine or her assitant to buy a dress. My daughter went back to Carines 3 times before she made her selection. The dress loooked absolutley gorgeous on her that day. The alterations where perfect. Thank you Carine and Amanda for making my Amanda's wedding day perfect!

I had a great experience at Carine's Bridal Atelier. They were wonderful to work with. I also appreciated that the store was so well kept and orderly. Sometimes bridal stores can feel a little cramped! Also, all the display dresses were in great shape.

Carine was a pleasure to work with. She and her staff were very accomodating and knew everything there is to know about wedding dresses, styles, correct alterations, etc. Carine also had a great selection of gowns. As a bride to be, one of things you need is one on one attention when choosing your wedding gown. It's a momentous ocassion and the wedding gown fitting process is just as important as the style of the gown. From the moment I walked into Carine's, I felt relaxed, understood, and after a quick glance at all the couture gowns I knew I had stepped into the right place. This high end boutique is underrated and the service is impeccable. Carine, the owner, took pride in meeting with me and as soon as I found my Melissa Sweet gown she was there every step of the way to ensure the dress was tailored appropriately to my body and my happiness was still in tact. The experience was so smooth and exceeded my expectations. I looked forward to my gown fittings at Carine's. I recently got married in May and the dress I wore was so beautiful because it was me, it was exactly what I wanted and it helped enhance the beauty of the day. I am so thankful for Carine and her team.

Carine's has the best selection of dresses in the DC area. She was wonderful to work with every step of the way. Her store is unlike any other in the area. We went to many and this was the only one that had a staff that did not rush you and were honest with their opinions, the atmosphere in the store is very tranquil and calming for a stressed out bride. I would highly recommend Carine's to any bride.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Carine's. I went to a variety of bridal shops in the area, but ultimately found my dress here. Not only did I love the dress, but I also loved the staff. They really helped me feel special and gave me a lot of time and focus. I was there with some family and friends, and they all felt the same.

Carine's was phenomenal! They listened to what I wanted in a dress and helped me customize a dress by pairing a beautiful, full skirt and gorgeous top. I worked with Kelly, who was so sweet and considerate throughout the process. All the staff there are great, and make the experience of picking your wedding dress very special. I visited a couple of other stores before purchasing my dress from Carine's, and nowhere else came close to providing the quality, service, and environment of Carine's. I would absolutely recommend Carine's Bridal Atelier.

I had a wonderful experience at Carine's and the consultant I worked with, Lisa, was a true professional. I really felt like she listened to what I was looking for and connected with me. The space is intimate but feels luxurious, everyone around was warm and welcoming, and they have a beautiful selection of dresses by great designers. They also seem to take careful care of their samples as their dresses were in much better shape than a few other places I visited.

While there, I found a dress that was beautiful and was a serious contender. Lisa was great at helping me work on it to add personal touches that would have made it a customized dress for me. However in the end, I ended up buying my dress at a different salon (not in DC) that carried a designer I had been dreaming about for some time. But regardless, I HIGHLY recommend Carine's for a DC bride.

LOVE Carine's! I got my dress, earrings, belt, and alterations there. The girls are SO helpful! I was never pressured to buy anything. I came in there a few times before I did buy my dress. I went to maybe 7 total stores and Carine's was by far the best.
I highly recommend Carine's! They made me feel comfortable and at ease with every step of the process. I got tons of compliments on my dress, earrings, and belt at our wedding and felt perfect! Special thank yous to Gabriella and Carine for being so amazing!

Carine's was absolutely wonderful! I love how it's a small intimate boutique with the most chic and fashionable gowns. The staff was so incredibly knowledgable, professional, and genuine in order to make their brides happy. Briana is extraordinary!

I recently went with my sister to Carine's to look at wedding dresses for her March 2020 wedding, just about a year after I purchased my wedding dress from Carine's in 2018. My sister was greeted by Briana, the stylist/team member whom I worked with last year. I was instantly reminded that I never wrote the review I meant to last year and I was doubly reminded throughout the hour why I wanted to take the time to write it -- Briana is simply incredible. My mom, sister, and I all agreed that there may not be anyone in this industry as knowledgeable, creative, patient, and comfortable to work with then Briana. She listened to my sister, understood her body, her concerns, her ideas, aesthetic, just as she had done with me last year. Briana ensured I found a dress I felt confident and beautiful in -- she was hands on during the alternations process and worked with us so I could wear my mom's cape from her wedding with the dress as well. Lastly, she has a Rain Man like ability to recall dresses and styles that you have tried on and a depth of knowledge of the gowns - it's insane and very helpful when you're trying on a ton and can't recall which is which. Thank you to Carine's for giving us the opportunity to work with Briana! As talented as she is, I hope she has her own shop one day.

Carines is the best bridal boutique in DC in my opinion. They have an incredible collection if you are willing to pay a certain amount. Their service is also very good. Adele was a pleasure to work with. I bought my wedding dress here and was down to two dresses. I tried each dress on probably 4 times, going back and forth in each before finally deciding. I am sure that was super annoying, but she was pleasant and positive throughout the process. The alteration process was also very good. Their seamstress listened to the areas I wanted fixed, but identified most on her own. My dress fit like a glove. Only complaint is that I couldn't pick my dress up until Thursday when my wedding was Saturday. This was pretty inconvenient. Overall a great experience!

Briana at Carine's made my wedding dress dreams come true! From the moment we walked in I felt like I was dreaming, the store looks like a wedding dress dream closet! Briana really listened to what I was looking for in my wedding dress and kept me on track with my budget. She was able to show us a variety of dresses until I chose THE DRESS! Even after buying my dress she made sure that every time I came in, to get my alterations and to ultimately pick my dress up, to pop her head into my appointment and say hi and ask how wedding planning was going and if I needed anything. When it is my sister's turn we are definitely coming back for Briana!

I went to Carine's because they are the only shop in the area to carry Liancarlo, and I had seen a specific dress of his online I had to try. My first consultant Kelly put me in a dress that was similar, thinking it was the same one, but we figured out they didn't have the one I wanted to see. They were able to ship it from the designer for me to try on. I have to say, the consultants were really persistent and they won, despite that I really hadn't planned on spending as much money as I ended up spending. Trunk show discounts were helpful, although everything at this shop is very pricey. I also bought a veil, bustier, belt, and earrings at Carine's. I was probably an easy customer having already tried about 50 dresses at other shops I knew what I wanted. Aziza was a great seamstress and although there was a black spot on the underskirt of my dress when it arrived, it was removed by my next fitting. They tell you not to lose any weight after your first fitting. Without trying to, I lost a few pounds, but she was flexible and able to easily make adjustments since they weren't permanently sewn in yet. My only complaint is that my dress was taken in farther between my final fitting and pick-up 2 days later despite that it was perfect. I maintained my weight (I was a street size 4) for these 2 days, as we had agreed that the waist was at the right measurement, but could barely breathe in the dress on the day of pickup- it was taken in again, and must have been closer to a 2. I guess they assumed I would lose but I was trying to stay the same. I will always remember how uncomfortable I was in my dress on my wedding day but I still loved the dress and Carine's had excellent customer service. Carine was a big sweetheart and had great wedding planning advice. They were flexible when I had to change an appointment due to an unexpected court summons, and they were great about confirming appointments.

Carine's has the most beautiful selection of gowns in DC. It was the first salon I visited and where I purchased my gorgeous Jenny Lee gown (I think it was the 2nd dress I tried on which Carine picked out for me). I went back to try on that dress 3 or 4 times and they were very patient with me in my selection. They definitely know what dress looks good on a particular bride. Carine and Amanda and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel comfortable. The reason I docked them a star is because the day I showed up to pick up my dress, no one was there - they had closed the shop a little too early. I had the last appointment of the day on a Friday and showed up on time, but I was very shocked and panicked that no one was inside. I had to pick up my dress that day because I was leaving for my destination wedding that weekend. Luckily, two seamstresses were still at the shop and were able to track down Carine on her cell phone and she said I could take my dress and apologized that no one was there. Upon inspecting the dress though, I saw it was slightly dirty on the train, but the seamstresses were absolutely helpful and stayed to get out the stain and press the dress. In the end it all worked out and my dress was beautiful, but I still don't understand why whoever was on duty thought it would be okay to close up knowing I had an appointment or didn't bother to call me and let me know.

I loved my dress from Carine's Bridal Atelier. They did a great job altering it to fit perfectly. My only complaint is that they do not do dress fittings during the weekends, which makes scheduling difficult.

We had looked at two other bridal salons before going to Carine's. Even though the outside seems a bit shabby, this bridal store is worth it. It's on the second level of a rowhouse with two changing rooms (usually one for tailoring and the other for trying on dresses). They also sell accessories (clutches, earrings, sashes, necklaces, veils). We worked with Briana in the beginning and then we never saw her again. I felt like we had a different person help me every day. They have an in-house tailoring group who are amazing. They do so much work! I think my favorite was that they made a video on how to do the bustle - very important. I felt like a princess and a bride!

I purchased my wedding dress during a sample sale at Carine's. They had a few dresses that I liked and absolutely fell in love with a Monique Lhuillier dress that I, of course, ended up buying. Carine has a beautiful little bridal shop and the ladies who work there are very personable and nice. I would've taken away one star due to a lot of miscommunication regarding alterations to my dress, but Jessica and Carine handled the situation well and we came to an agreement so I gave half a star back. Before I bought my dress, I was asking a sales associate if the changes I was considering making to my dress would be included in the flat alterations fee, and she said yes. Then months and months later when I started to schedule my alterations, they said the changes would NOT be included in the flat fee. However, after explaining what the other associate had told me (who was no longer working there), they agreed to discount the additional price.
Overall, I had a good experience with Carine's. Like I said, I really liked the associates who worked there and I absolutely loved my dress. The seamstress did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend Carine's to other brides.

The best dress collection in DC despite being smaller (but cozy)! The dresses are gorgeously arranged and the customer service is incredible. The women who work there are so nice and helpful. The tailoring was very pricey though and not adjusted if you only have two vs three fittings.

Gorgeous gowns

I got my gorgeous gown for my second wedding at Carine's in Georgetown during one of their evening gown trunk shows. The dresses they have in their boutique are so unique and different. All the people that work there are lovely. It is very expensive but you get what you pay for--the finished quality was incredible. My only complaint is they do not necessarily reply in a timely fashion and they are not open every day.

Carine's was the last bridal salon I went to and I found my dress here! Gabriella was great to work with, she wasn't pushy and was very patient. I ended up with a Liancarlo gown of my dreams and the alterations department did a great job with the dress! It fit like a glove! :)

Side note: As with most bridal stores, you are limited to days where you can come in for fittings, so just be aware of this...

Beautiful little boutique in Georgetown. Loved that it wasn't too crowded, the sales people were not pushy yet very knowledgeable and they were upfront with me regarding their price points.

Their average price point is $5500 but I went when they were having a trunk show and got my dress for close to $3500. The alterations are expensive but the dress fit like a glove and was worth it. They ended up giving me a free veil and free rental jewelry so try to negotiate that in!

If you have the budget I say visit Carine's!! Don't bring a ton of friends with you though b/c there is limited seating.

After trying on many different dresses at many different stores (from the Philadelphia area, Baltimore and Washington DC) I finally found "the one" at Carine's. Her selection was not the largest of the stores I went to, but I felt she had the nicest dresses overall. Carine and her staff were always very helpful, supportive and overall wonderful! I would recommend her shop to anyone who is shopping for a wedding dress.

Carine provides truly personalized service for brides and brides alone. When you are in her salon, she and her staff focus all of their attention on you - from trying to determine the best gown for your style and budget to helping you iron out all of the details of the fit of the dress. I also purchased my veil through her, which simplified my attire search considerably.

Throughout the entire process, Carine made me feel 100% confident that my gown would be absolutely perfect on my wedding day - and it was. More than that, her experience in the fashion industry made me feel like I was preparing for a red-carpet affair. Carine's top seamstress, Felli, is a true miracle worker and the rest of her staff is sweet, welcoming, and professional.
