We chose to use Mary Beth as our photographer after meeting her at a bridal show. She was super friendly, confident and laid back, which made it really easy to connect with her. My now husband and I can feel awkward a lot of times taking photos, but our engagement session was super laid back and Mary Beth made it really comfortable. She was always responsive to any questions we had and we are so grateful for her making our day so perfect. She was very directive at the wedding, which is exactly what I needed that day, but never intrusive. All my guests talked about how they didn't even notice a photographer around. We opted to have a second photographer. Mary Beth's choice was just as amazing and we loved them both! They captured every single moment possible and got every little detail, as I said before, without even being noticed. The pictures are absolutely beautiful (fresh snow may have helped and we are happy they made it in the storm safely to photograph it all!). We would not change a thing about the day. The best part was the Reveal Party Mary Beth does after. Instead of just sending us the photos, she came over to our house and gave us a slide show with some of the best photos of the night. We had our families over and she read a questionnaire that she had asked both of us ahead of time. It was such a nice way to round out the end of the wedding festivities. Also, we got the photos back within a week of our wedding, which was amazing. I would recommend Mary Beth to anyone. Mary Beth was the most professional, amazing, coolest human being we have ever worked with. We could have not had a better photographer. She got to know us personally, and out that emotion in to the photos. She was able to capture every smile and tear. The photos were many, and beautiful quality. We were able to take the photos and make them in to collages for our whole family for Christmas. Every person that was at the wedding was involved in a shot by Mary Beth. Our love was documented not just in our vows, and our rings, but in our photos! If you want the BEST photographer, choose Mary Beth at Capture Photography. She is truly amazing. So thorough with getting to know the bride and groom, attentive, professional, fun - I could go on and on! She made everyone feel comfortable, she got every shot we wanted, she was creative and fun but also kept everything on track and made sure we were on time. Hiring Mary Beth to capture our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We knew as soon as we met her that she would be amazing to work with, as she was so easy to get along with. We bonded over our love of our dogs, and then saw she had shot at our wedding venue before. We started with an engagement shoot which I thought would have been awkward and forced. Mary Beth has an amazing eye for shots, and made us feel at ease. The whole time we were able to act as ourselves and not worry about being in stiff poses. The day of the wedding, Mary Beth came with her assistant Melissa (who is just an amazing human being). She came in and immediately got down to business capturing our day. We have huge families and the two of them were able to keep the picture process moving while ensuring everyone was where they needed to be. It rained on our wedding day and Mary Beth took some of our favorite pictures out in the rain. The whole day was amazing, and it's been incredible to relive it through her photographs. I met MaryBeth at a bridal show at Mohegan Sun. She had great energy and came across more as a person rather than a saleswoman. She has a special gift of making genuine connections with people and puts forth a conscientious effort to get to know the bride and groom in order to ensure their personalities come through in the photos. I received my photos via a weblink as well as a CD in a timely fashion after the wedding with the option of a viewing party with family and friends. My photos were absolutely amazing. MaryBeth captured moments of our special day that I didn't know ever had happened. Her attention to detail was exquisite. Joy the only thing I am going to always remember about your wedding is your radiating smile and how smitten Mike was every SINGLE time he looked at you all day. Your best man said your Joy is so fitting because you bring Joy to everyone and that was so apparent to me from our first meeting over champagne at the Madison Beach Hotel. We aren’t sure where to begin when it comes to RAVING about our KICKASS photographer, Mary Beth, owner of Capture Photography. From the moment I met her at a bridal show, I knew she would “capture” (pun intended) our wedding exactly how we wanted! My husband and I are not very formal people and we wanted a casual but awesome wedding and wanted to remember it that way! We knew we wanted someone who would not only take “formal” pictures of our family, bridal party and us but would be able to put our love, happiness and excitement into photos and she did exactly that. I knew once we had our engagement session (and she not only let us bring our 2yr. old chocolate lab to the shoot but incorporated him beautifully into the pictures) that Mary Beth was one-of-a-kind!
There were a few “special” pictures I had wanted taken during the wedding and Mary Beth was so accommodating and excited about some ideas we had! We also had a photo booth at the wedding and I cannot tell you how excited we were to see the pictures! Some of the quietest guests were dressed up, laughing and having an awesome time! Even at the end of the night when they were packing it up, we got the whole bridal party over there to take more pictures and she was more than happy to take a few final shots! There were some pretty special, heartwarming and downright funny moments throughout the day and I would not have trusted anyone else to put those moments into photos. We HIGHLY recommend Mary Beth at Capture Photography!!

I truly could have not asked for a better photographer to capture the most important event of my life. MaryBeth made the entire experience so awesome and made sure to really get to know my fiance and I and what was important to us. From our creative meetings to our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner, wedding day and post wedding trash the dress we were extremely pleased with the results. As we move through different events in our life we can not wait to schedule more sessions with Capture Photography!!I truly could have not asked for a better photographer to capture the most important event of my life. MaryBeth made the entire experience so awesome and made sure to really get to know my fiance and I and what was important to us. My Fiance at the time and I went to meet with Marybeth and fell in love right away with her easy going personality, her beautiful photos and her absolute joy in taking photos. It wasn't even a questions, we booked her immediately.
The day of our wedding came and she caught every detail beautifully. Interesting shots, fun, whimsical photos that are classy still. So invisable during the dinner and dancing it felt like she wasn't there....a skill I would say since we wanted the photos to look more natural and not staged. WE couldn't have asked for anything more.

BEST photographer in Connecticut!!!!!

The following week MaryBeth sat on my couch and showcased a few of our favorite wedding day photos to music. All the feelings came back, it seemed like yesterday we had tied the knot. Following the video MaryBeth assesed my stairwell. She custom designed (based on the budget I gave her) what photo collage would look best for the space. I picked my favorite photos and a week later the canvas photos where at my door. There are zero words to describe how happy I am with the products quality/clarity and the service Marybeth provided. The smile and happiness as I walk up and down the stairs daily are priceless.

We have yet to see all of our pictures from our wedding, but the ones we have seen so far were great! Mary Beth was so fun to work with, and people had a blast in the photobooth she set up. She was also very flexible when it came to creating a package that reflected our needs. Working with Mary Beth at Capture Photography was a great experience from start to finish!{Although we aren't really "finished" with utilizing her yet! ;-) } Mary Beth is friendly, helpful, easy to work with, and so dedicated to her job and to making her clients happy.
