Creative and Caring

AC was engaging from the beginning. During our first conversation she asked great questions to get to know us better. The first draft incorporated many of our interests and she suggested some unique ideas to make the service more personal. Instead of sharing a cup of wine, we exchanged beer steins and sips, because we love craft beer. We had already exchanged rings, so she did a blessing on our hands instead. Our family members were warmly included and AC even added some humor by using the opening from "The Princess Bride", it was great! We'd highly recommend her.

Everything we wanted and more

Working with A.C. was exactly what we envisioned for our wedding. My husband and I wanted a non-religious ceremony and we really appreciated that A.C. could pull ideas and readings from so many philosophies and literary works. Our first meeting with A.C. involved sitting down and getting to know each other so we were all on the same page. From there she provided a big selection of ceremony language options for us to choose from. Once we outlined the elements of the ceremony we wanted it was really easy to edit the drafts until it was exactly what we were after. She also reviewed our vows and took care of mailing in our marriage certificate. A.C. was so easy to work with and was patient with all our questions and emails!

I'm so glad we found A.C. to be our officiant. She took the time in our first meeting to ask important questions and get to know my husband and me, so that she could draft the perfect ceremony for us. We provided feedback and helped tweak the ceremony before the final version, and then A.C. managed the rehearsal and ceremony so we could concentrate on the beauty of the ceremony. AC was truly amazing. From the first time we met with her we found that she was kind, very thoughtful and intuitive with our needs. She listened deeply to us and created the most beautiful ceremony based on our requests. As a multicultural, same sex couple we wanted just the right energy to deliver our ceremony and searched for quite some time. We knew AC was the one for us immediately! While we thought our requests may have been a challenge to weave into a cohesive ceremony, she somehow managed to do it effortlessly and delivered our ceremony with light and grace. A.C. was fabulous. We worked with her for our non-denominational ceremony for a couple of months prior to our wedding. During our first meeting with her, we were immediately impressed by her vast knowledge of different types of rituals and readings and also her keen interest in our families and our love story. We weren't sure exactly what type of ceremony we wanted to have, so having many options and ideas laid out was helpful for us. We exchanged around 5 drafts or so of the ceremony. A.C. revised each draft as necessary based on our input and also discussed with us her suggestions. She also always responded promptly to emails.

Our ceremony was perfect and everything went according to plan. We have received many compliments on how beautiful and personalized it was. We can't recommend A.C. highly enough!

A.C. is an absolutely fantastic person to know and we were lucky to have her officiate our wedding. She is an extremely patient and open-minded person, which was so needed when extreme circumstances leading up to our big day made it hard for us to focus on writing vows and choosing ceremony passages. In our first meeting, A.C. said many of her couples and guests tell her that her ceremonies are the best they’ve ever witnessed and she did not oversell. Several of our guests commented to us that our ceremony was one of the most unique, personal and best ceremonies they’ve ever attended. A.C. can be forceful about things that matter like wrangling groups in the rehearsal and pushing us to write our own vows despite my fear that I wouldn’t be able to get the words out. I’m very thankful for that advice as that can be hard to come by wedding planning. Our ceremony was so special and the words and stories A.C. helped us share really made it that way.

A.C. Warden was a dream to work with. Several guests made unprompted comments that the ceremony was the best they'd seen. With A.C.'s help and hard work, it was easy for us work together to come up with a personal, meaningful, and customized ceremony that was not only beautiful and engaging, but also organized and professional. A.C.'s wide knowledge of various traditions as well as her knowledge and acceptance of non-traditional ceremony elements made it easy and comfortable to assemble a unique ceremony that fit my wife and I perfectly. When I read A.C.'s first draft of our ceremony, it was so beautiful I was literally moved to tears of happiness. A.C. not only helped keep my wife and I on track, she also kept our attendants in line at the rehearsal so that everyone knew what to do on the big day. A.C.'s patience and experience was very calming! When it came time for the big event, everything was scripted out to run smoothly, easily, professionally, and relatively stress-free! -Ahh! Wonderful! Even surprise technical difficulties (from a different vendor) were handled in stride with grace and professionalism so as to minimize the disruption. -I was so impressed!

AC Warden was the first and only officiant we met with. We knew she was a perfect fit immediately. Both my husband and I are not particularly religious and did not have any specific traditions we wanted incorporated into the wedding. Our only request was that we wanted something specific to us and AC absolutely delivered. Several of our guest commented on how perfect she was in our ceremony. It was not too long nor too short but was very personalized. Our bridal party was a little rowdy and distracted at our rehearsal. AC was able to control the group professionally and explain the entire ceremony thoroughly. She was also punctual which I deeply appreciated (especially considering DC traffic can be unpredictable). The entire ceremony flowed flawlessly. Additionally, she offered numerous options for us incorporate readings and other traditions should we choose. I chose to read "Chaos of Stars" and many guests commented on how beautiful it was. I would not have known of the reading or the many others had it not been for AC. When we went to get our marriage license, the court representative saw AC's name in the database of officiants and mentioned how several couples use her and adore her. You cannot go wrong.

AC was the perfect officiant for our ceremony, creating something that truly encompassed the love that Lauren and I wanted to display during our ceremony. AC was prompt and responsive in working with us to design our ceremony, and provided a ton of ideas for different elements of the ceremony reflecting our shared values. AC showed a lot of care in selecting options for readings and we truly enjoyed her idea of doing the sharing of the wine during the ceremony. Throughout the drafting of the ceremony, AC was quick to respond and incorporate any changes we desired. A.C. was an amazing officiant for our wedding. She helped us come up with ways to make our ceremony non-religious but still accommodate those who wanted that aspect to our wedding by suggesting a blessing of a ring. My husband and I had a great experience working with AC on our wedding ceremony. We asked for a simple, authentic, intimate, and secular ceremony that was still full of heart, and we got exactly what we wanted. AC came to our first meeting equipped with a ton of options for ceremony structure, readings, and rituals for us to choose from, and she continued to be extremely responsive and helpful throughout the rest of the process. Our ceremony script was customized and felt very true to us. Many of our guests told us how beautiful they thought the ceremony was and how much they enjoyed AC's animated and sincere officiating. We were looking for an officiant that would make us both comfortable and would listen first to help figure out what our ceremony should be. AC of Capital Ceremonies was delightful to work with. She was extremely professional and organized throughout all our dealings with her. During our initial interview, she spent a lot of time getting to know us. We really wanted to make our ceremony reflect our story and our values, and she did a fantastic job at capturing the vibe that we wanted, going back and forth on drafts until the language was just right and it flowed seamlessly. We could never have done it without her! We also had some fairly non-traditional ideas about how we wanted the ceremony to go, and she was great at helping us think through our options and logistics for our set up (in the round, walking in together, with all of our guests surrounding us). We had our ceremony in the DC War Memorial on the National Mall, and AC was a huge help at helping us figure out how best to use that space. She gave us the idea to do a sort of reverse receiving line, where we greeted guests as they arrived; we absolutely loved how it worked out! Our guests, particularly our parents, all had lovely things to say about her. Highly recommended!

We had a hard time finding an officiant that we really thought would capture who we are and keep the ceremony secular. We met with A.C. and after talking to her for a while knew that she would be able to make this happen for us. My husband and I are from different backgrounds and wanted to incorporate a little of both into the ceremony. AC gave us many options, readings and symbols that we could do and made it very easy to hone in on what we really wanted. In the end we went back and forth a few times with revisions and she was very helpful each time with recommending new ideas. She always arrived on time, or early and walked through the rehearsal a couple times to make sure we knew where to go and what to do. Right after the wedding we got many complements on how beautiful the ceremony was and it truly was a magical day for us. We are glad that AC was able to help us put into words what we wanted to be said and could not have been happier with her service!

We are so glad we found AC to officiate our wedding! We wanted something non-traditional and un-religious, and she wrote the most beautiful ceremony for us. She incorporated some poignant quotes and give us a variety of ideas for traditional cultural practices based on our ancestry. We loved that it didn't sound like the traditional religious ceremonies we'd been to time and time again and that we were able to incorporate some unique and fun elements, like a wine box time capsule to be opened on our 5th anniversary (and hopefully not before!) and sharing a glass of wine to symbolize our union. ...we got married at a winery so the wine practices were fitting!
She was really helpful and patient throughout the process, and we would highly recommend her to be a part of your most special day!

I had known for years that my colleague AC Warden was a gifted Celebrant, but it wasn’t until she agreed to officiate at my own wedding that I fully experienced the uniqueness of Who she is and the outstanding creative qualities she brings to this profession she truly loves. The weeks prior to Ruth’s and my wedding were filled with unexpected twists and quirks – but absolutely nothing caught AC off-guard… her instinct for problem solving before they happen is uncanny, and that is only ONE of the many talents she has tucked away in her enviable bag of tricks!

I could easily say heart-felt dittos to every word of praise in the reviews on this page. Instead, I will add one more quality I consider one of her finest: She opens her gifted inner-eye and finds the deepest essence of each couple she works with; then she paints that essence on a simple but perfectly expressed canvas of words that not only touches the two hearts whose joining she has designed, but also deeply moves those in attendance.

I have officiated and attended uncounted weddings in my own career as a Celebrant. But Ruth’s and my ceremony was spiritually more powerful in its elegant simplicity than any wedding I ever witnessed -- I believe the word is ‘Perfect.’

My wife and I choose A.C. after reviewing and speaking with a number of officiants. She came highly recommended by a friend who had attended a ceremony officiated by A.C., and she gave rave reviews. My wife and I used A.C. Warden as our officiant, and we would highly recommend her to anyone else.

My wife and I are both non-religious and thus wanted a secular ceremony. But we also both have some Jewish heritage, so we wanted to have a few Jewish customs in our ceremony. So we really wanted an officiant who was flexible and could design a ceremony around our specific needs. A.C. Warden fit the bill perfectly.

We met with Ms. Warden initially and just talked to her about us and about our ideas for our wedding. She came prepared with a binder full of pictures and ideas from other weddings she had done. It was nice because although we knew some aspects of what we wanted in our ceremony, the idea of designing the whole thing from scratch was daunting. She helped us to incorporate our ideas while creating a framework for the whole ceremony.

Most of the ceremonies I've attended where the officiant didn't know the couple getting married ahead of time have felt impersonal. A.C. Warden does a good job of making sure this is not the case with her. She gave both of us a questionnaire for us to fill out where we could talk about ourselves, our relationship, and our feelings for each other. She then incorporated a lot of what we said into the ceremony. It really made it feel very personal and did a good job of conveying what this marriage meant to us.

Leading up to the wedding, there was a back and forth process with the text of the ceremony. She sent us a draft that we could go over and make changes to depending on what we liked and didn't like. She had a number of good suggestions for readings that we could choose from (since we didn't have any particular ones in mind ahead of time).

During the wedding itself, Ms. Warden did an excellent job. She is a good speaker and was a nice calming presence for us.

Overall, I'd say if you an experienced officiant who can create a customized and personalized ceremony for you, than A.C. Warden is a great choice.

AC was a wonderful officiant at our wedding. We especially loved how she helped us craft our ceremony to cater to our personalities and backgrounds. When we first met with her we only had vague ideas of what we wanted to do. She asked us many questions and gave ample suggestions as needed. She wrote the initial draft and let us make edits, big or small. She was also very flexible in accepting last minute changes. At both the rehearsal and the wedding day, she went over everything in detail and made sure everyone knew his or her role. She officiated flawlessly, and the ceremony was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We highly recommend AC!

My husband and I chose AC as our officiant because we were looking to create a unique yet traditional wedding ceremony. We loved the process of creating a ceremony with her as we went back in forth in drafts to create the perfect version. The readings that AC presented us with were heartfelt and perfect. Having AC as our celebrant was one of the best elements of our spectacular wedding. She put together a beautiful secular ceremony that was touching, meaningful, and centered on our relationship. We didn’t know what we wanted out of a ceremony when we found AC, but she helped craft something that was intimate and personal. She had us each fill out a long questionnaire about our relationship and interviewed several friends and family members for their views on our relationship. This was not only useful for incorporation into the ceremony, but it was a great way to bring our focus back to why we were getting married in the first place. With all of the details of planning a wedding, it’s easy to forget sometimes that the marriage is the most important part.

In our first meeting, AC sat and talked with us for a couple of hours to really get to know us and the kind of ceremony that would fit us. She helpfully made several suggestions for incorporating traditional and non-traditional rituals and elements in the ceremony that reflected our backgrounds and beliefs. She put together the core structure with several options and recommendations and guided us through the process of finalizing it. She helped us find ways to involve several family members in the ceremony, in addition to incorporating quotes from friends who had been interviewed. The result was a ceremony that told the story of us, that celebrated our marriage and not just the concept of marriage. Choosing AC as our wedding officiant is one of the best decisions we made in our planning process. From our very first meeting, AC was so warm and respectful, and truly listened and learned about us as a couple in order to create a beautiful ceremony. Correspondence was always prompt, and AC was extremely flexible in discussing what we wanted in the ceremony and making changes as needed. Our ceremony felt so deeply personalized and meaningful, and so many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed it. We were fortunate to find AC through the Internet. We reached out to her; she promptly replied and we had an introductory call with her. From the first moment we spoke, she truly seemed like an honest, kind, and genuine person. We felt very at ease with her, and had a good feeling about her. We spoke to other celebrants and did not receive the same feeling from them as we did with AC. AC's fees were less than others and the payment methods were easy to accommodate. Throughout the entire process, AC was prompt whether by phone or in person. The services she provided were absolutely what we hoped to find. Being out of state, she handled everything for us. She sent us the required forms and once we returned them to her, she filed them at the courthouse for us. She conducted a prenuptial phone interview to discuss our spiritual backgrounds and ceremony expectations. From this conversation, she sent us suggested prayers, scriptures, and poems from which we could choose to include in the ceremony. She recommended and provided websites for several locations throughout the Washington, DC area where the ceremony could be held. AC is a very calm, unhurried, and articulate person..... the epitome of what a spiritual person is! Her smile and the way she looked at us during the ceremony demonstrated her sincere thoughts were with us and in the moment. The entire process went so smoothly we cannot thank her enough for helping us through the legalities and ceremonial preparations. It was truly gratifying to have her with us for the consecration of our wedding vows. We would absolutely recommend AC for weddings and/or any other spiritual events.

We found AC through one of our friends who had recently got married. Since my partner and I decided to get married, we contacted AC at Capitol Ceremonies. AC was so generous and helpful in the planning and we could not have asked for a better person/officiant to do our wedding. AC Warden married my now husband and I last week in our secular wedding ceremony. We knew that we did not want a religious ceremony, but more of a ceremony that united us together in front of our family and friends.

We had a meeting with her that went over our general idea and thoughts about what we wanted and she did just that. She was so helpful and attentive to our wants and needs for our ceremony. Everyone commented about how lovely the ceremony was and special is was. My husband and I have a 3 year old daughter that we wanted to incorporate in the wedding also and she did a fabulous job at doing that.

I would highly recommend AC and Capital Ceremonies for any needs. She is not biased to anything and is only focused on making the couple happy and their wedding day a special one.

Thank you A.C. for providing Jim and I with a very special ceremony. Many of our guests commented on what a beautiful ceremony it was and how perfectly it expressed who we are. A.C. encouraged us to make the ceremony our own and to incorporate people that were important to us. We had two beautiful readings and “Batman” walked me down the aisle!

AC was the perfect choice for our wedding. We wanted a non-religious ceremony that wouldn't alienate our more religious guests, and she helped to craft and deliver a ceremony that went above and beyond our expectations. She was helpful, organized and responsive during the planning process and worked with our other vendors and coordinators to make sure the ceremony went off flawlessly. AC was an absolute pleasure to work with, and really created a ceremony that suited my husband and I. Prior to the wedding, we met and discussed our relationship, our families, and the type of ceremony we were interested in. During that conversation, we also discussed the "unity" part of the ceremony, and helped us come up with a very unique idea, which we loved! After which, AC sent us questionnaires to fill in asking more questions about our relationship.

She then put together the first draft, which was absolutely wonderful. There were certain parts where even after reading it 3 or 4 times, I still got teary-eyed. After a few updates (bridal party names, choosing readings), she sent over the final draft.

The feedback we got from guests was how awesome, and "us" the ceremony was. It was a great combination of serious and funny, which I credit completely to AC. AC was responsive, kind, and really did a great job.

After our wedding, the thing that people raved the most about was our unique ceremony. AC really worked with us to create something that was special and unique just for us. She took our story and told it to our guests in a way that sweet, charming and had a touch of humor. She also managed to help us incorporate our missing loved ones into our ceremony in meaningful way. I would highly recommend AC to anyone. First off, everyone LOVED our ceremony. We only got great feedback from our guests and all thought it was perfect and personal for us. She was a joy to work with and got to know us with a meeting. She asked good questions and really wanted to make our day personal. AC was quick when we were emailing back and forth with corrections and new ideas. The rehearsal was fun while she made sure everyone knew where they had to be. She asked the right questions and made sure everything was discussed before hand. She also was flexible since I had all my bridesmaids arrive late, with even one not showing up due to traffic. But she waited and ran through the ceremony again so the girls could be prepared. The day of she was great, speaking clearly and smiled a lot She also dealt with mother nature, as it was windy and the mike cut out a few times, raising her voice where needed and then adjusting. We had a Jewish ceremony with certain traditions and she was knowledgeable about what we needed and made sure it was perfect for us. Everyone told us how they loved it and we agree. If I could, I would get married again and make sure to use her! Great officiant and wonderful woman to work with!!

We used Capital Ceremonies, and specifically AC Warden, as our wedding officiant and were extremely happy with that decision.

Selecting an officiant, when one does not have a friend or family member licensed in DC to perform that task, is a tricky thing. On the one hand, the officiant is like other professional vendors, providing important services in support of your big event. On the other hand, the officiant is an important partner in crafting and performing one of the central (and most personal) events in your life. AC Warden was wonderful and recognizing and performing these two roles.

AC was extremely thoughtful and flexible with us when writing our ceremony. We ultimately wrote most of the ceremony text ourselves, but AC provided great examples to guide us, and provided excellent feedback on the content, timing, and flow. She remained supportive of us the entire time and always open to performing whatever ceremony we wanted.

The day before the wedding, we gathered with the wedding party and AC to do a run-through of the wedding, and AC was super helpful in preparing us for the ceremony. Having been in many weddings, she knows a lot of best practices (while always remaining open to the couple's preferences).

The ceremony itself was beautiful. Many of our guests commented and what an excellent job AC did in performing the ceremony. She managed to be both in command while not being the center of attention.

AC Warden was a great officiant for us, and will be for you too.

A.C. Warden acted as the Celebrant for our recent wedding. My husband and I were very pleased with the work she put into making sure our ceremony was one never to forget. As soon as we retained her services, she provided us with a ceremony that fit us perfectly. We stayed in contact for months perfecting each portion. She arrived on time for rehearsal dinner and was even flexable with my bridal party as they were runnng a little late. AC helped us create the most beautiful wedding ceremony! She worked with us through several drafts to cultivate the exact emotions we were looking for -- love, warmth, inclusion, humor. She suggested a diverse number of readings, recommended elements of the ceremony that spoke to both our backgrounds (we went with a memorial candle lighting, ring blessing from our guests, and wine sharing -- all of which were so moving!), and she helped us organize the ceremony to have the right flow.

A.C. is great -- she is professional, easy to work with, and very, very, very flexible. We had a non-traditional, slightly offbeat wedding but from some of A.C.'s stories it sounds like she can even do really offbeat if that's what you need. AC was incredible and such a joy to work with! She did an AMAZING job helping us create a very personal and special ceremony. She told us we'd be able to go back and forth with her for edits as many times as needed, but we hardly needed to edit the ceremony at all - AC really took the time to get to know us and get our input on the ceremony at our initial meeting.

She had some amazing suggestions for ceremony elements (like the ring warming ritual) which our guests LOVED! I have gotten countless complements on how unique, meaningful, and special our ceremony was. Our guests all loved it and were really impressed with a lot of the elements that they had never seen before, but which they all agreed were wonderful.

Again, AC was a joy to work with - she made this part of the wedding planning incredibly easy and stress-free, and really helped us create a ceremony we will never forget. I would not recommend anyone else to any of my friends.

Right from the start I felt that we clicked with A.C. We wanted a ceremony that had weight - that had joy, yes, but also was mindful of the road we were choosing and what marriage means. We wanted a ceremony that had symbolism in it, too - I'm quite big on ritual and its importance.

When we met, A.C. went through with us ideas that we could encorporate and heard some of the ideas we had. She quickly understood the tenor of what would suit us. This is a great skill she has - and was underscored when we saw the first draft of our wedding ceremony. She had channeled the atmosphere and what we wanted! She had encorporated the ideas we'd talked about so that they were natural and had the desired effect. Not at all an easy task!

On the day, she conducted the ceremony with poise, warmth, humor and gravitas. I had many of our guests tell me that it was the best wedding ceremony they'd attended and many complemented A.C. herself.

One friend told me that I'd restored his faith in non-liturgical wedding ceremonies. I think that sums up A.C.'s top qualityness very nicely.

The most stand-out thing I can say about A.C. is that during this time we were buying a house using a loan that required us to be married before the actual ceremony. So she met us and had a small ceremony months before the wedding at no extra charge. She really worked with us to custom create our own ceremony and I felt that because of that it really had a lot of heart.

A.C. was amazing! from day 1 that we found her on weddingwire she contacted us and always kept in touch until the countdown of the wedding. She had the entire program mapped out and very organized. When I met her she was very comfortable to speak with, and made all the changes that we wanted. I had a Taoist/Christian wedding ceremony and she adapted and input the most amazing ceremony so much that there wasn't a dry eye in the room. A.C. is highly recommended in my book. Very affordable and was amazing with the wedding ceremony.

AC takes the time to make your ceremony your own. We were totally impressed with the process to personalize our ceremony. Many guest came over afterwards to say how great the ceremony was. We can't recommend AC enough.

A.C. Warden was fabulous to work with. She is very organized and extremely prepared to put together whatever type of ceremony you can dream up. She really listened to our requests during our first meeting and drafted the perfect ceremony for us. A.C. made such a special day for us very easy and stress free. I highly recommend A.C. Warden.

My husband and I were thrilled with the ceremony that AC wrote and performed for us. In our in-person meeting, AC found out a lot about us and what type of ceremony we'd like. She provided us with a lot of options for the readings and all other aspects of the service, including readings and rituals from our cultural backgrounds, which was a nice touch. I had little wording changes that I wanted to make to the draft ceremony, and AC accepted all of these, plus let me continue with my editing as I thought of new things to include and exclude. She offered to meet with me a second time in person, if I had anything I'd like to discuss in person rather via phone or email. I appreciated having her at the rehearsal, and on the day of the wedding, she was a calm presence. Overall, everything went very well and I'd highly recommend her services.

AC was incredibly easy to work with. Her values in respecting and honoring our love was very apparent, as she was especially accommodating in helping us make our ceremony unique to us and our backgrounds. The ceremony went very smoothly, particularly for one being translated! She was comforting and helpful while we were exchanging our vows, which is such a nervous moment in front of all of your loved ones. AC had also came to our home a second time to do a private legal wedding after our celebration wedding.

The ceremony was so touching, and we didn't have anyone with dry eyes at the end of it. Even a dear friend of ours, who didn't cry at her own daughters wedding, was sobbing afterward because the ceremony was so sweet and touching!

We highly recommend AC to anyone, religious or not!

A.C. Warden of Capital Ceremonies was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We liked how attentive she was going through the initial consultation. We knew she was going to make our ceremony personal. Our families come from different religions and backgrounds, she understood that we still wanted aspects from both cultures to be incorporated.

She was very flexible and accomodated to all the changes we had.

During our rehearsal, she kept things very organized and we practiced until everyone was confident.

During the ceremony, I got choked up with the words and A.C. was very soothing to get me through.

All my Family and Guests loved the ceremony and thought it was touching and showed our love, honored our parents, and appreciated the friends and family that were witness to the event. I saw in the DVD of our wedding and saw lots of people crying, including my uncles.

AC was wonderful celebrant and person and we were honored to have her officiate our wedding.

We met A.C. Warden of Capital Ceremonies after interviewing about 5 other officients and not being to please with what we had seen. A.C. impressed us right away. She spent 2 hours with us at our initial consultation discussing our background, our relationship, our families, our future and took notes the whole time. She provided us with all of her credentials showing that she was licensed - something none of the others we met wit did! She e-mailed us a list of "get to know you" questions and a list of questions about our ceremony venue and other vendors. She asked for contact info for those closest to us to get other peoples' perspectives on us. About 1 month before the wedding she sent us a draft of our ceremony and we were touched by how personal it was. She really listened to us and used the answers we gave her in our questionare to create a wonderful ceremony. A number of our guests commented that it was the most personal and enjoyable ceremony they had ever seen/heard.

A.C. officiated our wedding earlier this month and did a fantastic job. We wanted an officiant who could help us create a ceremony that reflected who we are as a couple. We desired a ceremony that was secular, personal and that was accessible to our guests. A.C. was able to help us accomplish this by learning more about us as a couple and providing us with opportunities to contribute to the process of creating our ceremony. She had many excellent choices for readings and allowed us to choose rituals that felt right to us- we had a warming of the rings as well as a unity ceremony involving a special wine we had picked out in Santa Barbara. So many of our guests commented that A.C. was an excellent officiant and that our ceremony was intentional, held their attention and demonstrated our love for one another. A.C had some opinions regarding the placement of certain items in particular places in the ceremony, but she did her best to explain these opinions to us and we appreciated that. Choosing A.C. for our officiant was definitely the right choice and we are so glad that she was a part of our big day.

Creative and caring

As a couple doing this for the second time and who already exchanged rings, we wanted something special. Still, like all couples, we wanted a ceremony that reflected who we truly are. AC interviewed is, talked about our interests, our desires, and came up with a first draft. In the first draft she gave us several options and slowly we honed the service till it was just right. She made some truly creative suggestions like instead of sipping wine during the ceremony, that because we love craft beer, we exchange steins! We were also able to include our children and families in the experience. AC even colluded with my husband to change the entry song from a recording to him playing and singing our song! We'd recommended AC to anyone because she was genuine and helped us create a wonderful memory.

A.C. did a great job on our wedding, and made it unique to us. I found her using wedding wire and other reviews, and after speaking with her, I knew instantly, that she was exactly what we were looking for. She did a fantastic job, and also kept us in line during the rehearsal. We would recommend A.C. to anyone, for she doesn't do a ceremony that caters to all, but instead to you and your partner's specific taste.

We were in search of an officiant who was secular or not unaffiliated and who could write and perform a meaningful ceremony, and AC more than met our expectations. I am Jewish and my husband is Muslim, and we originally wanted my rabbi from my hometown, who is a wonderful speaker, to officiate. That did not work out and we then preferred someone who not only could perform a secular ceremony but was not affiliated with a particular religion. That actually proved to be very difficult, leaving us with only few choices. We interviewed another officiant as well, but were disappointed when they would only interview on the phone, did not seem very organized, and left most of the planning until just prior to the wedding. When we met AC, we knew immediately she was right for us. She took the time to meet in person and discuss her services and her background at length, was very organized and detail-oriented, seemed very enthusiastic about officiating for us, and presented us with great options and flexibility for the service. We could only afford her lowest priced package, which is not as personalized as the others, but true to her words and the great reviews, she still worked with us to make it very personalized and special. She presented us with options that included both her standard offerings and options she researched to fit our backgrounds and easily accommodated our requests and changes. She was very professional and organized during both the rehearsal and ceremony, and her delivery was very touching. We had so many compliments on the ceremony and on AC as an officiant, with a number of guests complimenting how meaningful the ceremony was and saying that it was one of the best weddings they had attended.

AC did a great job with putting together the wedding. She did what we asked for in our wedding ceremony. She traveled to the farm that we had chosen to get married on. She was able to take care of last minute changes. We had a wonderful day and the ceremony was beautiful.

AC actually wasn't our original officiant - we had scheduled another woman but she unexpectedly could not fulfill being our wedding officiant. She found AC for us to take over our contract, and picked up without any hesitation or issue. She worked so closely with us on our ceremony and made sure it was truly exactly what we wanted. And wow, it was. Nearly all of the compliments we received from our wedding were specific to the ceremony - how personal, special, and emotional it was. EXACTLY what we were hoping for. We could not have been happier for our personalized and unique ceremony for our wedding - thank you AC for making it so memorable for us and our guests!

We asked AC Warden to officiate to our wedding just about a month before, we got lucky and she was really helping out. She agreed to be our officiant and the ceremony speech was very personal, she understood our need and the way we wanted the ceremony. We definitely recommend AC Warden !

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Ms. Warden. Neither of us are particularly religious but we didn't want someone as aseptic as a Justice of the Peace to perform our ceremony. Ms. Warden and her services really fit the bill. We have gotten comments that our ceremony was the most personal and emotional ceremony folks had ever been a witness to. Ms. Warden took the time to get to know my husband and I and it really showed. We will forever be grateful to Ms. Warden for making our wedding ceremony the best it could possibly be. She is affordable, professional and flexible. We recommend her highly!

I really didn't want a typical, boring wedding ceremony. A.C. did a great job writing our ceremony. She gave us a lot of options for different readings etc. and included details specific to my fiance and I. We were also able to review as many drafts of the ceremony as we wanted. Everything went smoothly the day of and many of our guests commented that they really enjoyed the ceremony.

My only complaint is that she kept misspelling my fiance's name in the written ceremony draft--and his name isn't uncommon or anything. I would have appreciated a little more attention to detail there, but that's really the only negative thing I can say.

AC Warden RUINED my ceremony. When she announced us as husband and wife, she said the WRONG NAMES. Since we had been working with her for many months (in person, over the phone, via email) there was no excuse for this. There is never any excuse for this. My groom and I felt shocked, humiliated, and angry. The magic of the moment was spoiled, and it can never be repaired.

I rated AC with mostly 1’s because of the severity of the mistake. I gave her a 3 on responsiveness because she was quick to refund the entire payment we had previously made.
