Susan worked with us several times ahead of the ceremony to learn about us and really cater the wedding to what we were looking for (secular with some Jewish tradition). She delivered! We had a lovely, intimate ketubah signing before the ceremony and an excellent ceremony that was very "us." We got many compliments afterwards from guests that assumed she had known us for years! -

Romance at the library
My husband and I recently got married at the Boston Public Library, and we could not be happier with our experience with Susan as our Justice of the Peace. She worked with us every step of the way to get to know us and make sure that our ceremony was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was heartfelt, intimate, and everything that we were hoping for. We can not recommend Susan enough, and she will be perfect for your wedding ceremony :) -

We had our wedding this June 2025 in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Susan came to us highly recommended, and those recommendations could not have been more accurate.
Susan was professional, flexible, and immediately made it apparent that she cared about our special day and us as a couple. She made clear what she needed from us and checked in at reassuring but non-demanding intervals throughout the months of planning.
She acted with the utmost compassion and respect towards our needs as a couple, from our gender expression to our experience as a same-sex interracial and interfaith marriage. In addition to considering our levels of comfort with religious language and our mixed cultural traditions, Susan genuinely engaged with our love story and our family history.
Guests cried, the ceremony was beautiful, and Susan was incredible presence on the day. We could not give a greater recommendation or more thanks! -

Susan stepped in last minute to officiate our wedding when our Rabbi was not able to make it. Abby has known her for many years as the cantor of her childhood temple so she was thrilled and had no doubt Susan would make the ceremony incredibly special. In a matter of a days, she met with us, asked great questions, communicated really well and honestly blew us and our wedding guests away with an incredible ceremony. It was a really nice balance of a traditional Jewish ceremony and our voices, and the order of the ceremony gave us space to share our thoughts before she provided a really nice narrative about us that she gleaned from our meetings prior to the wedding. She also did an amazing job with our ketubah signing before the ceremony, all of the family members there cried! We could not be happier with how it went and highly recommend Susan! She is kind, cheerful, caring and thoughtful. You will be lucky to have her officiate your wedding! -

Susan was truly wonderful performing our marriage ceremony. She included in it our vows preferences, the history of our relationship and growth of our feelings toward each other . Her backyard was a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony, and even her small sweet dog welcomed us heart fully. We highly recommend her services done with consideration, inclusion and tolerance! -

Beautifully personal ceremony with exceptional care and professionalism
Susan was an absolute blessing as our justice of the peace, and we are beyond grateful for the beautiful ceremony she created for us. From the very beginning, she took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life in a way that felt deeply personal and meaningful. The ceremony, held in the Arnold Arboretum, was everything we hoped for and more.
Susan’s warmth and genuine care shone through in every moment, especially during her reading of a Rumi poem that touched our hearts. Her ability to make the ceremony feel so special and intimate is something we will cherish forever. Our family is still talking about how perfect the day was, thanks to Susan.
Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly responsive and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, and having Susan as a part of it was truly a joy. Susan was a dream to work with. Upon planning our wedding as an interfaith couple, we were unsure about how we could integrate our different family cultures, religions, and traditions into our wedding ceremony. Susan's expertise and professionalism helped us to create the perfect ceremony that reflected us as a couple and joined together our families, while valuing everyone's backgrounds. Something we also appreciated about Susan was her genuine desire to get to know us as a couple. We had several meetings with her before our wedding day, which helped us become comfortable with each other and helped her get to know us better. Susan was also so easy to contact and answered all of our questions with ease. Not only did we love Susan, but our guests gave us so many compliments on the ceremony and everyone thought it was beautiful. June 2024 Wedding
There seems to be a trend of having friends of family officiant weddings, but working with Susan felt like a dear friend was our officiant. We had a long planning process and she spent a lot of time getting to know us. With every call, meeting, and email, we felt more and more like she understood who we were and what was important to us in our relationship. She offered suggestions for readings and asked us questions that became the inspiration for parts of our vows. During the ceremony, she created moments for us to take deep breaths and connect with our loved ones. We laughed and we cried in what was a beautiful and transcendent moment for us. We’re so grateful for Susan and everything she put into making our wedding ceremony so special and perfect for us. -

Great experience!!
We used Susan for our micro-wedding and it was a great experience. We simply booked a date, had a meeting with Susan, and then had the wedding. During the meeting she gets to know you, assesses your vibe, and then tailors her monologue based on that. For us, she prepared some nice words, a poem, and a unique-feeling ceremony for us. The process was pain-free and she was incredibly pleasant to interact with. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and make your family get emotional. Thumbs up -

Finding the perfect officiant is hard, but we lucked out with Susan. She was an absolute joy to work with. She was always prepared, compassionate, and understanding. Having not known her prior, she took the time to learn about us and our journey as a couple, making us feel special every step of the way. When the big day came, she was a total rockstar. Multiple guests remarked that she led the best ceremony they'd ever attended. Wonderful experience
Susan was very easy to be in touch with all along the way: initial introduction, a couple of Zoom meetings, of course the ceremony itself, as well as occasional questions before and after the wedding. Susan is an incredibly warm person and it felt like she has known us and has been a long-time friend from the moment we met each other. Furthermore, she is absolutely professional - every detail of the ceremony was exceptionally well organized and we had the most relaxed time sailing through the event. Ten stars! -

We travelled over from Scotland and only met Susan on Webex before the ceremony. Susan was accomplished and proficient and we could not have hoped for someone as nice as Susan to marry us. She tailored the ceremony to our specific needs which showed she had taken time, patience and love to help make our day special. We wanted to get married in Boston Gardens and despite the heavy rain and needing to shelter in the gardens, swan boat launch, she embraced everything we wanted to make sure it was our special day. -

The Sunflower who fell for the Rose
Susan is a very welcoming and nurturing soul. She thrived on making the ceremony feel personable and charming. She focused on our traditional values and on our love. With the small amount of time that we had on planning the wedding, she was communicative, willing to get to know our story, it honestly felt as if we already have met before! Susan is amazing!
Susan was set to officiate at our wedding in late April, to be held in a local restaurant with about 60 people. However, with the CoVId pandemic and a social quarantine in place, we postponed the big ceremony indefinitely. Susan suggested that we consider moving forward with the ceremony in an outdoor venue with only immediate family and that she would be happy to officiate under these conditions. With her guitar in hand, she performed a beautiful ceremony for us, which we live-streamed for friends and family. She worked with us prior to our wedding to incorporate Jewish elements as well as personal anecdotes and stories. She was flexible about the timing and even the day--when we learned that it would likely rain on the chosen Sunday, she suggested that we change the date to Saturday, which turned out to be a fortuitous decision! That Saturday was sunny and bright, and made the outdoor ceremony even more meaningful.
Aside from her professionalism, Susan's flexibility, warmth, and good humor are the icing on the cake. We cannot imagine a better partner in whom to place our trust for such a momentous event, and would recommend her unequivocally as your wedding officiant. -

Wonderful, personal and professional
