So Fun and Exceptional
I was very nervous trying to get everything together but then Candy was the most helpful and considerate of everything. She is so queer and Neurodivergent friendly is it insane. The checklists and making sure everything was the least amount of stress that I feel I could have felt. -

Simply the best!
My husband and I had very busy work schedules leading up to our reception, and knew that we needed somebody to help us. Candy and her team were worth every penny. She has a joyous personality, a wealth of connections to help find vendors that fit our aesthetic and budget, and organization skills that help ensure all decisions will be done on time and nothing will be overlooked leading up to the big day!
One of the main reasons we selected to work with her is because we shared similar values - something that was important for us when selecting vendors, etc. She spent lots of time with us at our first meeting to truly understand us and our vision for our reception. She stayed engaged throughout the planning process, ensuring that we made decisions in a timely manner and helped talk through those decisions with us. Most importantly, by the time it came to the wedding reception, neither my husband or I were worried: We knew Candy would have everything in order, and we could party knowing that everything was already under control. I have already referred Candy to two additional couples, and would recommend her to anyone planning a special event! She is a true joy to work with! -

Candy is a lifesaver!
From our first conversation with Candy, she made us feel totally supported and comfortable. She went above and beyond answering questions and offering perspective throughout the earlier stages - and she made us feel heard and encouraged, especially as we felt overwhelmed at times with other life things happening during wedding planning. On the day of, Candy was always there with literally anything we needed - when the bridal party got last minute bug bites, when we were hoping to snag an extra plate of appetizers, everything. She kept us on time and feeling in control - and took care of everything so that we could focus on just having a good time. She was an absolute delight to work with and I can't recommend her highly enough. -

Alana from Candy & Co is the best.
Once we decided to get married, the next-best decision we made was to hire Alana from Candy & Co to be our wedding planner. For fifteen months, she was a thought partner to us, and kept us on track for tasks big and small to make sure our wedding was perfect. On Wedding Day, she seamlessly orchestrated the entire production, ensured every vendor did what was needed, and made sure NO stress ever reached us. We now consider her a friend. -

We hired candy and co to help us stay organized and for their month of and day of services.
Are you a person who really likes getting things right and being on top of your game? Are you someone who is a busy professional who is not excited about things like napkin colors? Do you want to do something a little different? Or do you just want your wedding to go off without a hitch and know that you are in good hands if something pops up on the day of? If you said yes to any of the above, candy and co are your team. Like having the most effective maid of honor times 1000. Candy and Asa handled so many issues that I never knew about (including a road closure and a fire truck at our venue entrance) and did so with speed, grace, and a sense of humor. All recommendations that I received from candy in the lead up to our wedding worked perfectly for me and my fiancé and she was never pushy and always respectful of our desires. I was hesitant to have a wedding at all and very hesitant to hand the reigns over to anyone else, but my fiancé was right, And Candy was the PERFECT fit. Also, you get what you pay for and candy and co is well worth the expense. Thanks team :) -

Candy & co: best decision we made ❤️
We started out wanting to plan our wedding ourselves. Both my husband and I are very detail-oriented and capable people— but we quickly discovered that wedding planning is a serious second job. Especially amidst COVID. Well, when we knew we couldn’t do it alone, my husband lined up a series of wedding planners for us to interview. Candy was actually our first one, and after speaking with her, we immediately looked at each other, smiled, and canceled the rest. It was an instant match— and immediately evident to us that she was not only qualified and highly capable, but I ust “got” the drivers of what a bride and groom are looking for from a wedding planner on their big day. She said it best on the day we met her: “It is my job to plan— so you don’t worry.” Done.
The organic skill, talent, care, attention to detail, and genuine empathy that went into every interaction we had with Candy and her team was unparalleled. They absolutely exceeded every expectation we had of a wedding planner and then some. Candy’s process, as well, is flawless. She is experienced enough to know what to anticipate, and can handle anything that comes at her bride and groom from any direction. She will advise you, handle your vendors, help you navigate COVID, and address every type of problem— anticipated or not. She literally listens to everything you say, and then stores it away to be your fairy godmother, acting on your behalf, on the big day.
Is it possible that someone can know you better than you know yourself on your wedding? Well, that is Candy and her team. We jokingly asked her at the end of our wedding weekend whether she could be our life planner. :-) She’s that good. In summary, we will say that we honestly could not have done this process without her, and recommend her with the absolute highest praise we could ever give. We consider her now not only someone who helped ensure our a big day was everything we wanted and more… but a friend. Truly.

Candy & Co were amazing. We worked with Alana Morro, who was absolutely fantastic. Best planner and coordinator!
We weren't sure if we needed a coordinator for our small, backyard wedding but we are so, so glad that we hired Alana. She took our (half-baked) vision and made it into the wedding of our dreams. She coordinated with all of the vendors, made sure we had a to-the-minute timeline, and even transformed our backyard from the ceremony to a magical dinner/reception during cocktail hour. And she was the best to work with the entire way through. Would hire a million more times! -

Anastasia is amazing!
I recommend Candy & Co, and in particular Anastasia, who handled planning for the last ~8 weeks before our wedding + the day of. Anastasia is incredibly detail oriented, professional, efficient, organized, and hard working. We had total confidence that she had everything under control, which gave us such peace of mind. She stayed calm under pressure and was just so pleasant to work with. And a bonus- she is the most expert wedding dress-bustler; she took care of my 3-layer gown in under two minutes flat! -

Exceptional
Candy+Co is a small team that punches well above its weight. Candy, in particular, has all the characteristics you want in a wedding planner. Her communication skills are excellent. She's also energetic, enthusiastic, organized, and, perhaps most importantly, adaptable. She had a knack for helping us visualize and weave together all the moving parts for our wedding. And we never had to chase her or her team down for anything -- they were constantly on point.
During our wedding planning, which took place during the depths of covid, having Candy supporting us turned out to be essential, and my partner and I walked away from our wedding day feeling grateful and amazed at how everything wrapped up so seamlessly in the end. To make our vision a reality, Candy helped us sift through her impressive network of high quality vendors -- everyone from florists to caterers to musicians. She really understood what kind of vibe we were aiming for and helped us select the perfect vendors for our event. She also gave us suggestions on how to negotiate our contracts with each of those vendors, so we were sure we were getting the best deal. Overall, working with her and her team was a phenomenal experience. -

Hiring Candy is the best wedding decision you can make.
The short version: There's no doubt in my mind that my wedding would have been incomplete without Candy. It simply would not have been as amazing of a day if we had worked with anyone else.
Candy's value cannot be overstated; she is a quarterback and cheerleader rolled up into a single person. Her communication skills are incredible and she consistently made us feel valued and heard. Whenever we got off the phone with her we felt a huge sense of comfort because we were confident that she understood our vision and would give us the information and tools we needed to keep ourselves in budget.
Candy's attention to us was genuine and personal. She really made us feel like we were the most important client she had; we never felt as though we were just another couple in some large organization’s catalogue. At the beginning of each month she sent us a detailed report on our progress along with any to-do items that we needed to prioritize over the next 30 days. Her organizational and time management skills helped support us even when life outside of wedding planning got hectic and busy.
We are so glad we could access Candy’s impressive DC network - I didn't feel like I had to search for anyone because I could count on her recommendations. She connected us to high quality caterers, florists, venues, and bands that matched our style - and let us know which ones were great but not for what we wanted. There's no kickbacks and you know that she's recommending people that can deliver under whatever conditions your wedding is dealing with.
Candy's team is also great - Tori, Candy’s “Specifics Specialist”, somehow has deep connections to virtually every major and boutique hotel in the entire city and saved us when our wedding night arrangements encountered issues with less than 24 hours notice. Asa also helped the day-of, and was incredibly kind and helpful.
Candy is the first person to arrive at the venue and the last person to leave. We're eternally thankful that she was there to manage the logistics so we could really take everything in. Regardless of what support you need (she offers various packages), selecting Candy & Co. will without a doubt be among the best decisions you can make.-

Above and beyond exceptional!

Love at first meet!
...no I am not talking about my husband, I am talking about Candy at Candy + Co!!! Hands down, without a doubt, the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning journey. To give a little background we hired Candy for our wedding back in March 2019. Our plan was to have our wedding at Dock5 in Union Market, which is a completely raw space/warehouse which my husband and I knew would be a feat as we would have to bring in every single thing in to make the space what we wanted ( a lot of vendors to juggle!). Right off the bat, we knew this would be possible with Candy's help. She has a wealth of knowledge/experience, has amazing energy, and will do just about anything to make your wedding and the days leading up to it special and as stress free as possible. We just about planned out our entire wedding in time for when the pandemic hit. I won’t go into detail, as my hope is that planning a wedding during a pandemic will not have to be on any future couple’s radar. But if you're reading this...know this: Candy was there every step of the way. When many others in the industry could not or even would not continue to support their couples, Candy did. It’s easy to list off all her amazing qualities...organized, professional, creative, fun etc... but what really makes Candy shine is how she genuinely gets to know you, and deeply cares about what's important to you as a couple, and ensures that it isn’t lost in all the wedding planning/day chaos. She’s a great communicator,and helps guide you with all the little details you don’t even think about no matter how much you consider yourself to be “type A” or organized yourself. It is evident that she's respected by others in the industry by the way they are all more than happy to collaborate with her. She's all the things you want and need - whether you know it or not. She became a part of our family and recommended you do yourself the favor and get her in your corner.

Our Best Decision! We Love Candy!
Not sure where to start in describing our happiness with Candy and the Candy+Co team. Honestly, it feels more like a long friendship as opposed to partners in wedding planning at this point! We started our planning journey with Candy over 2 years ago, delayed by Covid, and Candy was there with us throughout the process - proactive, organized (like, crazy organized!), thoughtful, and compassionate. Sometimes she was our planner, other times our therapist, and sometimes our battle partner. Candy talked us through what were some really difficult and stressful times during the planning experience, and we are so grateful we had her in our corner. Candy is full of energy (and a rockstar mom mind you) and she brought that energy to the planning process when we needed it the most. She helped us with templates for emails, making vendor decisions, security agreements, budget concerns, and on and on and on. When Covid happened and we postponed our wedding (not once, but twice) she was always there with her team to keep us updated on how the restrictions might impact us and to help with communication to our guests. You can tell from Day 1 that she has the experience across vendors and spaces (we ended up doing our wedding in a blank warehouse space, which made the list of decisions and considerations all the more daunting), and really knows what has been successful and what doesn’t.
But at the end of the day, Candy helped us enjoy the process, laugh along the way, and reminded us often what this was all about - a celebration of love and happiness. We are so thankful to Candy that she was our partner in our wedding celebration - we love her and could not recommend her enough!!! -

Enthusiastic, organized, and helped us manage our planning anxieties
Planning a wedding is an extremely daunting task, but planning a wedding during a pandemic, and all the uncertainties associated with it, was full-on panic inducing. Thankfully, we had Candy to work with, who’s attention to detail, enthusiasm, creativity, responsiveness, commitment to diversity, and experience really helped us manage our anxieties. Candy was with us throughout the entire planning process, breaking up all the major tasks by month so that the planning was manageable and easy. She referred us to great vendors that were specific to our needs and gave us fantastic tips on how to pick vendors and negotiate with them on contracts. She met with us regularly to discuss how to approach certain tasks, such as how to choose the right decorations, what to do if we didn’t want to have flowers, or how to prepare a ceremony that incorporated all our cultural traditions and values. Candy also worked with us closely to brainstorm all the little details to ensure that our wedding was not-formulaic and stayed true to us, our experience as a couple, and our values, so that we didn’t just have a generic, cookie-cutter wedding. Finally, Candy worked with us individually to help us plan the details in the ceremony so we could surprise one another, such as with a surprise song.
By the time our wedding rolled around a year later, on our wedding day our work was done and all we had to focus on was enjoying the ceremony and our day together. Behind the scenes, we could see that Candy made the effort to work closely with all our vendors and guests to make for a very smooth day. Moreover, Candy was extremely respectful and cognizant of safety in light of the pandemic, and enforced a very detailed plan to ensure masking and social distancing were maintained during our wedding, without sacrificing the specialness of the day.
Most importantly, we really appreciated how warm, unflappable, and professional Candy was during the entire planning process. Candy always put our needs first and was persistent with unresponsive vendors, making sure they responded to us so we were not overly anxious during any parts of the planning process. During our venue walkthrough, we watched in horror as the venue manager tried to mansplain to Candy about how to put together the wedding ceremony. Despite the patronizing and disrespectful conflict our venue manager created, Candy kept her cool, diffused the situation, and worked to make sure our needs were the first priority. In spite of the ever changing plans for our wedding, Candy was there with us every step of the way and made our day exactly what we wanted and amazing. We highly and enthusiastically recommend Candy for any of your event planning needs. -

Best Wedding Decision!!
It is hard to put into words how amazing Candy and the whole Candy+Co team are. The website and instagram made clear that this was not just any planning company, but one with style and inclusivity at its heart. Hiring Candy was easily the best (and first) decision we made. When planning during the normal times, Candy made everything organized and as stress-free as planning could possibly be. When COVID struck and we then planned a wedding at 4 different venues, she made it possible for us to navigate vendors, draft emails for making changes, and helped us understand what policies were in place and what things would likely look like down the road. She truly is worth her weight in gold for any kind of event planning.
Our first meeting with her made it clear, this was our planner - she is vivacious, creative, easy to talk to, and clearly a born problem-solver. She even talked us down from our thought for a full planner into month of - she saved us money on purpose! Additionally, given that you will be making approximately 1000 decisions during wedding planning, it made it so much more simple when she could recommend 2 or 3 vendors she thought would fit our goals/style/personalities. And every time, she nailed it.
She also has been in the business for a long time and worked with many venues and vendors in all kinds of scenarios so understands where something may be allowed but is not actually comfortable, or where certain places may be flexible (or not).
Hiring Candy+Co will be your best decision to make wedding planning as easy as possible. Our wedding day itself was smooth and so enjoyable. We love her so much, we are signing on with Candy+Co again as we plan the wedding reception for all our loved ones next year that was made impossible under COVID restrictions. -

I was the officiant and friend at a very specially wedding that Candy was hired to plan, re-plan, and execute during Covid. VIP events are big part of my job and I know just how much goes into making them happen and look so seamless... Candy managed all the functional tasks/logistics, changes, small touches, and wish lists in a way that everything came together for not only a truly magical day but also smooth days/weeks leading up to it. She's incredibly professional and a joy to be around too! -

Candy is the BEST!
We initially started working with Candy to plan a 200-person ballroom bash for 2021. It was love-at-first meeting for us + Candy. Candy was tremendously knowledgeable, insightful, full of creative ideas, and most of all she was a person we really clicked with on a human level. Candy was always thinking of us, even though our wedding was more than a year away when we first started collaborating. Then COVID hit. Candy pivoted in the most incredible way to helping us plan a tiny, 12-person/immediate-family only backyard gathering. Oh, and all of this with about 3-4 weeks of notice. Candy was in incredible action mode -- I have honestly never met anyone who is so on top of things. Me and my husband were overwhelmed and Candy walked us through every step of the way. Most importantly during this time, she prioritized safety above all and ensured our event was not only magical, beautiful, wondrous -- but also safe for us, our families and our vendors. The day-of could not have felt more smooth and perfect, but that's only because Candy took care of literally everything behind the scenes. I can't highly enough recommend working with Candy, she is the BEST! -

Would not have made it through the day without
I LOVED Tori. She was responsive, supportive, attentive...ALL of the things a wedding coordinator should be. I did not worry a thing on our wedding day. She was experienced, organized— I loved how every month she would send us a “to do” list because that really kept us on track. I would recommend her and Candy+Co in a heartbeat! -

Exceptional.
I have never met someone has organized, detail-oriented, and event focused as Candy. The entire endeavor, from receiving the most detailed, step-by-step process to planning a wedding to her fixing a dozen little things on the Wedding day itself, was executed with utmost care. She is a rare combination of someone who both has an extraordinary amount of experience and planning capabilities, while also being very much a people-focused provider.
Further, on top of it all, she has a creative eye for both big picture goals and small details. Her advice on the path to walk down the aisle to how the decorations could compliment the aesthetic and unique meals was great.
Really, if you want an excellent wedding with a ton of forethought and a trusted hand to get it all done from start to finish (and even after), then Candy is 150% the best option. -

Candy is lifesaver!!
After interviewing with 5-6 wedding planners, Candy stood out as the one planner who actually made me feel EXCITED instead of overwhelmed about having a wedding. From start to finish, she was incredibly patient, thorough, organized and responsive. Candy was always several steps ahead and all of her help took an enormous weight off our shoulders! We loved her, as well as her team, and all of the vendors that she recommended!
Initially, we were really hesitant to spend so much out of our wedding "budget" for a planner but as client who had zero time to plan a wedding, hiring Candy was worth every penny and probably saved us from calling off the engagement! It was also overwhelming to even think about making any decisions related to the wedding, but Candy was extremely helpful in simplifying the process, providing reminders on key decision points and keeping us on track/schedule. She was our biggest cheerleader and a wonderful source of encouragement and emotional support leading up to and during the wedding. She was also a great advocate who got things done and coordinated with vendors behind the scenes. Overall, Candy was also mindful of keeping vendor communications separate from ours--she'd touch base when she needed our input so it was nice that she didn't copy us on a million emails.
We will absolutely hire Candy's team for any events that we decide to host in the future! A million thanks to Candy for keeping us sane and executing a beautiful wedding for us to remember the rest of our lives! -

The perfect partner!
Candy+Co was the perfect partner to help us bring our wedding to life! We worked with Anastasia, and we could tell from our very first phone conversation that she would be an amazing fit for us and our vision. Throughout the process, she was communicative, experienced, and just an all-around amazing person.
From helping us design the floorplan to coordinating between our numerous vendors to dealing with unplanned guests and making sure we could enjoy the evening – Anastasia helped us bridge the many different components of our big day. Our wedding was almost a month ago, and we’re still getting feedback from our guests about how perfect and seamless everything was!
As a separate, but important note – one of our many deciding factors in choosing Anastasia and Candy+Co was the fact that they were ardent LGBT allies. Just one quick look at their diverse Instagram page and gallery will tell you everything you need to know about their values!

Don't Get Married Without Candy
Candy and her team were invaluable in making our day perfect. We couldn't have done it without them. Candy kept us on task in the year leading up to our day, making sure that we did the necessary tasks each month (and then week and day, as we got closer to the wedding), then provided on-site assistance the day of. She was especially essential in helping us navigate the sometimes complicated rules of our venue (Oxon Hill Manor) and the often complicated dynamics of our families. She does it all with a positive attitude and is fun and funny. I would hire Candy + Co. a million times over and have already recommended them to loved ones. -

SO glad we hired Candy for our wedding!
My wife and I were initially on the fence about whether or not to hire a planner for our wedding. Generally, we planned to make a lot of the decisions about our day on our own and we did have a vision for how we wanted things to go. We finally decided a coordinator might be something to look into to help keep everything organized and together. We interviewed a few and as soon as we spoke to Candy we knew we found the right person and that it would be worth the spend. Our instincts were more than correct. As a couple in the LGBT community Candy made us feel completely comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. She stepped in and helped coordinate a few months prior to our wedding date and never once balked at answering the questions we threw her way.
At our walk through she helped us to tie our vision together and did conference calls with our caterer and various vendors to make sure we were all on the same page. The night before our wedding we still had a few reservations/concerns about a different vendor and immediately she said "I will handle it" and she absolutely did.
Our day of experience was amazing. I think our maids of honor probably know even better than we do all that went on behind the scenes but I do know Candy along with the people she brought with her:
-Helped to set up our center pieces and made our reception space that was very DIY look AMAZING.
- Helped smooth over and coordinate an emergency situation that arose with our hair & makeup vendors.
- Got us through a power outage situation at the time of the ceremony that my wife and I only found out about weeks later (they were so good, we did not worry or even notice this happened at the time).
- Helped coordinate a surprise outfit change - My wife wore a dress to the ceremony and had a custom made suit for the reception.
- Advised us on how to cut our cake and timing for a speech to thank everyone. Even suggested a "mic drop" on the fly that ended up being a great memory.
- Managed cleaning at the end of the night leaving us with our gifts nicely packaged and rose petals spread on our bed.
I could go on and on. At every turn Candy put us at ease and I though everything did not go "perfectly" on our wedding day I felt like it was perfect.
Candy & Co. was a huge part of that and I am so glad we made the decision to hire them! -

As the Maid of Honor at my sisters wedding, there were about 5 million things to do before they said ‘I do’. Candy and her team were there every step of the way to make the day perfect and to deal with any bumps that popped up along the way. Miracle worker
Hiring Candy to be our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we've ever made. She was friendly and attentive, making sure we kept up with everything ahead of the wedding and helping us calm down when we stressed out. When we had to change vendors last minute she even helped with recommendations of people to replace them who did a fantastic job. Everything during our wedding went perfectly! Completely Flawless
Candy and her team achieve absolute perfection in a way that makes it seem effortless. Her eyes and ears are everywhere anticipating not only the bride's every need but every need of the wedding party, and guests as well. Best of all though is her energy.
You feel like she is in charge of absolutely every situation, and this competence adds a layer of calm to the most elaborate and, what would otherwise be, chaotic events.
Even high strung brides melt into blissful participants at their own weddings where merriment and good cheer abound, all due to Candy's expert ninja skills and heart of gold.
I am pretty sure that she is an angel dressed in black.

We'd Choose Candy Every Time
We worked with Candy for our wedding and could not have been happier. From the first time we spoke with Candy, we knew that we could trust her to take care of whatever happened on our day and that we could look at her and feel a sense of calm. Our family and friends even told us how calm we seemed leading up to the wedding, and we know that's because of the trust we had in Candy to deliver. Working with Candy and Co was easily the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. Candy + Co were amazing to work with! Our planner--Loreal--was extremely responsive, incredibly organized, and put our minds at ease. We could not have planned our wedding without her! Candy was also fantastic and super responsive. Loreal thought of all the details so we didn't have to and also had great suggestions that helped make our day that much more special. And when I somehow got a spot of blood (think some of the beading scratched my shoulder) on my wedding dress 5 minutes before the ceremony, Loreal was there with a Tide pen to get it out. Who would have thought you needed a Tide pen at your wedding?! Not me. But that's how detailed they are. Hire them now!!! -

Completely Stress-Free Wedding
From beginning to end, Candy was an incredible resource. I never had to stress, because no matter what wedding planning threw at us, Candy was always there to help. She knew exactly which vendors would work for us, was always able to offer words of advice, wisdom, and calm, and created the most incredibly useful spreadsheets and guidelines for what to ask each vendor while interviewing them. We always loved getting her monthly emails, but she is worth more than her weight in gold just for the peace of mind and flawless execution she provides on the day of.
At our wedding we both ate full meals, drank our drinks and water, danced, got the photos we wanted, and even had a full slice of cake (the groom) and pie (the bride). Candy flawlessly transitioned our wedding from outdoor plan A, to indoor plan B, while reassuring both of us that this wasn't going to effect anything major. If anything actually went wrong, I'm not sure even we knew about it! She is definitely a ninja, and our wedding was absolutely perfect because we had the BEST wedding planner, and she helped us hire an incredible team of vendors who all worked together seamlessly. -

Amazing Wedding Coordinator!!
From start to finish, Candy was an amazing and indespensible resource for us throughout the wedding process: in terms of (1) navigating, recommending & choosing wedding vendors, (2) keeping us on time and organized for the wedding planning process, and then (3) during the day of the wedding helping us throw what our friends and family considered the best wedding they had ever been too!! None of the magic and pure fun we experienced on our wedding day would have been possible without her. A Great Wedding Planner and A Great Person
Candy was constantly available, prepared, and approachable as she helped us plan a beautiful and meaningful day. When the stress of wedding planning got to be too much, Candy could calm us (really me) down with such an ease it was more than impressive. The tools, recommendations, and logistical assistance that she provided kept us on budget, on time, and led us to choosing what we consider the most amazing wedding vendor team ever assembled. On the day of, Candy seemed to be in three places at once, managing that team and our problem guests seamlessly. She was so good at her job that we got to eat, drink, and relax, which everyone had told us we wouldn't get the chance to do. We were actually quite sad when she sent us an email with the subject "Last Email From Me." I would, and have, personally recommended Candy and Candy and Co. to others planning their wedding; she is a real treasure. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Candy+Co. We used the month-of package and Loreal and team were a dream. Loreal asked the really hard questions and left no stone unturned. But in asking those hard questions, they really helped us figure it out, contemplate the options, and choose what was best for us.
And then the day of? I didn't need to worry about a thing. I forgot I had any stress at all! THAT is what I wanted day of - that is what I wanted to feel. And Loreal and team gave me just that: peace of mind and a kickass wedding day. 100% recommend! -

We worked with Kaitlin from Candy+Co. for day-of coordination for our recent wedding. Kaitlin is professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with. The day of the wedding would simply not have been as smooth or enjoyable without Candy+Co's help. Kaitlin took all my many items needed for the wedding day the night before and I didn't have to worry about much on the day of the wedding, aside from getting my hair and makeup done! Candy + Co were a dream to work with. Having been to a friend's wedding that Candy planned and seen some of the company's other work online, I was drawn to their work because of the beauty and attention to detail, but also because no wedding is the same. Candy and her team work with every couple to figure out what is going to work for them - price point, mood, aesthetic - everything! There is clearly no cookie-cutter approach here. Our wedding turned out even more "us" than I possibly could have imagined.
Alana was our primary planner with Candy as our backup, and they were always there to answer our questions and handle our anxieties. They kept us on schedule and helped us to evaluate our options in a sensible and thoughtful way.
On the day of the wedding itself, everything went off beautifully and we (my husband and I, but also our family, wedding party, and friends) didn't have to worry about any of the logistics at all - everything just happened. It was amazing.
I would recommend Candy + Co to anyone who doesn't want to go it alone. They provide a variety of service levels, from the full planning package (which we took advantage of) to day-of planning (which I've heard from credible sources is really much more than just "day-of"). -

We worked with Candy and Kaitlin for our wedding and reception. Candy handled the "day-of" coordination from about 2+ months before our wedding. She supported us through some tough discussions with our reception venue and made sure everything was very organized and went smoothly on our special day. Kaitlin was at the venue making sure everything was set up (or re-set up as the case was) correctly. We were so happy we hired Candy+Co. and would make the same decision again. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Loreal @ Candy+Co! My fiancé (now husband) and I started late in our wedding planning process, actually very late!! When we realized we needed help to make our 150+ person wedding work, we had only 8 WEEKS until our big day!!! It is an incredible understatement to say I was unprepared and I really needed help!! I contacted Loreal at Candy+Co!!! and she was ON IT and was AMAZING!!! That is exactly what we wanted! Loreal made this HAPPEN!! The wedding was whatever we could dream up or ever wanted and Loreal w/ Candy+Co could make that happen, but I didn’t have to do it alone!! (Sparklers at dusk?! Honestly not easy!! But she did it!!) I had my Candy+Co “Team Wedding” at every turn for recommendations, advice, coordination, tips and, when I wanted, she would immediately put together a list of vendors for me to choose from for whatever I was looking for!! That was the BIGGEST HELP! I didn't have to worry! Loreal contacted vendors if I wanted and arrange for food tasting (this would happen in a matter of hours or 1 day when I requested!! Amazing!!!). Loreal w/ Candy+Co. coordinated perfectly with everyone to ensure that they were part of “Team Wedding.” My Photographer, Priest, friends, and more were so impressed by the way they worked that many have requested information on working with them again in the future. Candy+Co honestly SAVED OUR DAY from being a completely frustrating experience and made it a simple joy!!

Words cannot express my gratitude for Candy and her team at Candy+Co. My wedding was a dream come true and I owe so much of that to Candy. She helped to create the perfect wedding for me and my husband. Every idea and vision I had, Candy and her team brought it to life and made it that much better.
For the past 7 years, I have been planning events for up to 35,000 people, I know what it takes to put on a successful event... so I thought I could manage my own wedding and do it all myself. But planning an event for a client and planning your perfect dream wedding are two entirely different beasts. The stress of doing it myself won and I'm glad it did because I met Candy and she immediately put my mind at ease.
There is no doubt in my mind that if you hire Candy, she will go above and beyond for you and make the investment entirely worth it. Candy is incredibly professional and a friend at the same time. I don't like the show Scandal but I will make the reference because Candy is like a gladiator, she just handles it, no matter what. I am incredibly lucky to have had her help.
Candy responded to every question, email and call within hours, no matter the day or time. She's incredibly well organized. I am a very detail-oriented person and I met my match with Candy. She had every minute of the day planned so I didn't have to worry about a thing.
I could share countless examples of how Candy went above and beyond to make my wedding the best day of my life but instead I will just leave you with this... if you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again because I can guarantee you that Candy will be the best investment you make. My husband and I got engaged in June of 2016, we met Candy in February of 2017 and we got married in October of 2017... if I could do it all over again, the only thing I would do differently is hire Candy once I got engaged. -

We had a great experience with Alana from Candy + Co. There was an issue during my wedding (with the caterer) and I didn't find out about it until the reception when my husband asked me about it. We interviewed four planners and Candy stood out by far and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
Candy is one of the most organized, detailed, caring and dedicated planning professionals I've ever met, and I say this from the perspective of being an OCD planner myself! Her talents in coordinating and communicating are outstanding and we highly recommend her.
Her online planning tools made budgeting, tracking and collaborating countless details much easier than starting from scratch. There simply is no detail that Candy overlooks and she will guide, opine, ask, nudge, cajole and lovingly insist (when needed) to keep you and the other service providers on schedule and in the loop so everyone is working as a team in preparation for and during the big day.
Although we had been working with Candy for months, it was especially satisfying to see her in action on our wedding day. She is prepared for EVERYTHING including the inevitable surprises (torn pants hem, 89 year old aunt who needed a ride, sick sister-in-law right out of the hospital who needed extra personal attention).
Working with Candy meant we were able to enjoy our wedding day without worry. We'll be forever grateful to her for always treating us not like clients but with love. Sounds sappy but it's true--she loves her work and it shows in everything she does.

We loved them. We got a wedding that we loved, our guests loved, and they made sure we enjoyed it to. The whole process was streamlined and low stress due to their management and insights. In more detail:
Awesome people: They are some of the nicest people to work with. We always felt respected, received quick replies, and generally felt very comfortable working with them. They were always on our side.
They work with your vision: They are extremely flexible in adapting to our needs, from meeting our budget, to the tone and character of the wedding. They never pushed their own vision, they worked with us to make sure we were happy. That doesnt mean they did not provide any advice or recommendations, but they were all in line with our vision.
They recommend awesome vendors: All the people they proposed we use (flowerist, photographer, etc) we all really liked. We felt comfortable with them and they delivered way beyond our expectations.
Always provided sound advice: Ultimately, many decisions were up to us, but we often had to weigh multiple pros and cons. They were always able to provide a good sounding board for helping us decide which decision to do.
They handle all the minor details and setbacks during the last stretch. They made sure they had plan B, C, D etc for any setbacks that could occur and basically took over all the details in the last month. They basically guided us throughout the chaos of paying, finalizing contracts, timelines, etc without any hiccup.
They make sure the Bride and Groom were FED. With all the chaos that happens after the wedding, they make sure that the Bride and Groom have some time alone together to breath, collect their thoughts about what just happened, and be able to actually enjoy the union that just occurred.
They are on point during the chaos of the celebration: guiding the guests, and VIPs to food, dancing, cake eating, etc. Never were we or our guests unsure of what was happening next and where to go. -

I truly cannot say enough positive things about my experience working with Candy. Of all of the decisions we made related to the wedding (and the wedding was incredible and truly the best day of my life), choosing to work with Candy was absolutely the best choice of all. My mom and I must have said "thank god for Candy" dozens of times. She's incredibly attentive to detail, reliable, responsive, flexible, and fun. To demonstrate her attentiveness to detail - I had lost my voice the morning of my wedding and texted Candy. She brought tea and honey to the wedding, and she even made sure someone stirred my tea when the honey had likely settled to the bottom. THAT is the level of detail you get with Candy! Regarding her responsiveness, she responds to e-mails nearly immediately, and never longer than half of a day. She is also very calming. Several times I called her stressed about a wedding-related issue and I always got off the phone in a good mood. Candy did an excellent job of putting in her two cents when asked for it (backed up by tons of experience and knowledge), but always focusing on helping me figure out what would make me the happiest. I truly feel that hiring Candy made my year and a half of wedding planning more relaxed and fun, and the final day turned out better than my husband and I had imagined. I am someone who tends to have high standards for being responsive and reliable, and I HIGHLY recommend Candy without any reservations. -

We were so, so fortunate to have Candy for our wedding planner. She is amazing, amazing, amazing. Our daughter's wedding was basically a "destination wedding" in that I live across the country and our daughter is in graduate school in a city that is 3 hours away. Candy was incredible in helping narrow down vendors that she knows does great quality work and would fit into our budget, is incredibly responsive immediately to e-mails, and has a very special way about her that left my daughter feeling cared for and happy after each and every interaction. Somehow, on the day of, she manages to be everywhere and helpful to everyone. Even my niece who was there with two small children was amazed how she was helpful and aware of HER needs, brought tea with honey for my daughter who was losing her voice, and in so many other ways. Bayleigh Butterbrodt and Candy Borales of Candy+Co Events provided us with expert planning guidance and day-of-wedding coordination for our 22 April 2017 wedding at Capon Springs & Farms in Capon Springs, WV. Our goal was to host a wedding ceremony and reception that brought together our friends and family from across the country and the globe, merged elements of our two cultures (colorful India and rustic West Virginia), and coordinated talented vendors across West Virginia and the D.C. area. Bayleigh and Candy provided us with invaluable planning tools and leveraged their expertise to provide us with phenomenal suggestions and answers for every question we came across. Bayleigh coordinated communication between all our vendors and scheduled walk-throughs with vendors at our wedding venue. When inclement weather was forecasted for our wedding day, Bayleigh helped us to enact our Plan B that moved our outdoor events to indoor spaces. Bayleigh and Candy also updated our wedding website with the new details when we lacked access to wifi and cellular data at our remote venue location! They arrived on the wedding day with earpieces and transceivers that allowed them to communicate seamlessly with each other throughout each event! They walked our officiants and wedding party through our ceremony rehearsals, assisted us with finalizing our Plan B seating arrangements, and allowed us to focus on getting ready for our ceremonies during all the final preparations! Following our ceremony, Bayleigh and Candy brought us our signature drinks and hors d'oeuvres, ensuring that we had our much-needed alone time together. Candy+Co gave us peace of mind throughout our wedding day with their expertise, professionalism, and impeccable attention to every detail, and we cannot thank them enough for giving us the stress-free wedding day of our dreams! We are truly honored to have had them leading our wedding team, and we hope to work with them again soon for a future special occasion! -

"Professional" is not enough to describe these guys. Incredible attention to details like where furniture goes, when furniture moves, finding stray family members; lightening fast responses every time I called, emailed, or texted; an uncanny (experienced) ability to proactively answer questions forming in my mind. Frankly, There are so many decisions that have to be made even for a relatively small and simple wedding, and it was such a relief to have a pro on my side to give me ideas, names, and price ranges. What a wonderful experience it was from start to finish with Candy+Co.! We wish we could do it all over again to work with the people that helped bring our vision to life. Everything turned out better than we expected and so much of it had to do with Candy and her team.
Throughout the process, Candy kept us on track month by month and week by week. We loved working with the vendors she recommended and the vendors we found ourselves loved working with her. A lot of credit goes to Candy herself who knows how to lead a team. She was always responsive and ready to step in when we needed assistance or to answer any questions. Our wedding and reception was held at a venue that had never held a wedding before but Candy handled everything perfectly and our wedding was amazing. On the day of, she was a calming presence for us while also making sure things were getting set up correctly and on time. Throughout the night Candy and her team were caring and attentive of us and our guests.

I literally do not know how we would have planned and organized the party celebrating our daughter’s wedding without the assistance of Candy + Co. Since we only had three months to do everything, the know-how, patience, and organizational skills of Candy and Kaitlin were invaluable. And most important of all, they are kind and good-humored! I always knew I could call on them for advice about any aspect of our event. Their knowledge of vendors was especially helpful, and a big time-saver given our tight schedule. On the night of the event, I was able to totally relax, knowing that Kaitlin would be on top of every detail. And she was! Alana and Candy were amazing throughout our wedding planning process. They were organized, patient, positive, reassuring and just what we needed to stay on top of our vendors and our big day. No question was too small and our entire wedding party fell in love with Alana and her wonderful attitude, sense of calm, and experience. From managing our timeline, our photography list, our florist, musicians, and transportation -- everything was under control. We had the pleasure of working with Candy Borales and her assistant Bailey of Candy+co Events on our wedding on 6/4/16. From day one (which was back in April of 2015), Candy was truly a pleasure to work with. She was always responsive to our questions, provided us with the best vendor recommendations (we were fortunate to have an amazing group of vendors at our wedding that made the day spectacular!), had wonderful ideas, and was so on top of everything. (Nuptials ninja indeed!) Not to mention that working with her was really fate since we met just standing on the street outside of our wedding venue right after we saw it for the first time :). We met Bailey on our wedding weekend, and she was awesome. What a dynamic duo those two make!

It's no wonder Candy & Co. has across-the-board "5" ratings, and mine are exactly that. Candy and her day-of assistant, Alana, were fantastic. My (now!) husband and I started our wedding process thinking we'd only get a "day-of" planner, but after realizing that even the "month-of" packages typically wouldn't involve the vendor selection and management support we needed with our busy careers, we decided we needed a full-service planner and invested a significant amount of time in researching and interviewing planners. We knew if we got that choice right, much of the rest of planning would fall into place. I think I came across Candy & Co's website based on their stellar WeddingWire ratings and, right away, appreciated the diversity of weddings (gay/straight; less formal/more formal; etc) they do, but with the commonality of everyone looking like they were having so much fun in their photos. I also couldn't help but feel like Candy & Co was a breath of fresh air among website after website of (and a couple misguided, and very short, interviews with...) Stepford Wives-like planners. When I interviewed Candy, I loved that one of her only non-negotiables for us was that my husband and I had to agree to have 10-minutes of alone time - no photographer, no friends, no family - right after the ceremony to be present in what we just did. She also just seemed organized, but not annoyingly, stress-inducing organized, and fun. Throughout the planning process, she did exactly what we needed and wanted - gave us a few clear options for each vendor choice (leading to an ALL-STAR team of non-wedding/industrial complex vendors), dealt with all vendor communications in the background (to spare our inboxes), etc. Fast forward to day-of and it was PERFECTION - by far, the most fun, happiest, most stress-free event - and without a doubt, in large part because my husband and I and our friends and family could focus on exactly what we wanted to: us and having a good time. -

Candy and her team are fantastic. We did a full planning package with her as I and my now wife were both very busy with work and knew that we wouldn't have time to research vendors, find ones that fit our style, and make sure we got a good deal with them.
Candy took the time to understand the vibe we were looking for at our wedding and then teed up a great set of smaller vendors (i.e., not part of the wedding/industrial complex) that were truly phenomenal, fit our personalities exactly, and were within our budget. It made our lives so easy.
The management of the process up the big day was very professional -- I never worried for a minute that there was a ball that would be dropped for our wedding. Then, the day of our wedding was somehow even better. My wife and I didn't need to worry about anything. Candy and her assistant Alana handled everything in the background. The entire day ran like clockwork. Candy also has literally every single thing you could possibly need in her emergency kit. She was able to get make up off my collar, trim some loose threads, get lint of a jacket, and provide pain meds without a problem. She's literally prepared for anything.
I can't recommend her and her team enough. Don't hesitate to sign up if you're considering her. -

Where do I begin... first glance at Candy & Co's site, I immediately knew that they were hired!! There was something refreshing and loving that gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling :) My husband and I were traveling for work so we Face-timed for our initial meeting, when we hung up we both looked at each other, smiled and said, "she's the one". Honestly they're was a comfort, assurance, her honesty and more than anything she had this aura... Hard to explain, but there was no denying that she was perfect for us. Not to mention she made me cry, I would share why but that would ruin it for when "you" hire Candy + Co... let's just say there is something they require after you get married that you will remember and treasure for the rest of your life and when she told me what it was, I cried. Just thinking about it makes me smile.
Well we SUCCESSFULLY planned a wedding in THREE MONTHS and without Candy, it would have not been possible, honestly and truly. We live in Los Angeles and got married in DC, so needless to say, with the time difference and distance she couldn't have been more helpful.
All of her recommendations, from Floral to catering. There is no advise she gave that wasn't on point and honest... She knows what she doing!! She was patient with us, she was direct with us (which is one of the many attributes we appreciated the most, we needed that. lol) and most of all caring and loving. Candy and her team's organization is flawless in every aspect, they did not miss a beat, nor did they allow us to either. From dealing with Food Trucks vendors (we also had those at our reception, AMAZING) and the paperwork requirements for DC (a lot!), running behind me and my husband during our photo shoot with sparklers at night in the cold so we could get the perfect "still shot" photo... She went above and beyond.
If I had to do it all over again, I would not have chosen ANYONE else! -

I truly don't think a better wedding planner exists than Candy. From the moments when we read over her contract with her witty wording to the time we spent over lunch for our first meeting, I knew that we had to have her involved in our day. She was incredibly responsive throughout the ENTIRE process- responding within a few hours, but more commonly within a few minutes. The advice she offered was always spot-on and honest. Any situation that came up she handled with the utmost professionalism. Most importantly I had absolute trust in Candy- her judgements, her opinions, and I truly consider her a friend.
I absolutely loved working with Candy. Our wedding day was perfect- and I know so much was due to Candy and her hard work throughout the day. We had a few hiccups that I learned about after the wedding, because she took care of them flawlessly. I can not say enough wonderful things about Candy. We booked Candy and Co as day-of coordinators for our big fat Indian-Italian wedding. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into - if we could do it over we would have booked Candy and Co as our full-service wedding planners (and probably life planners lets be honest).
As a day-of coordinator, Candy and Co were WAY WAY WAY more than that - each month we'd get an email with task lists to keep us on track and Candy and Tori would check in on any pending items and offer reassuring words on our progress. They compiled a powerpoint with decor ideas based off our vision and really rolled with all the changes [ahem smaller rustic wedding of 100 to large glam wedding of 270+]. Closer to the day they adapted to every curve ball we threw their way and worked out how to "rehearse" without having a rehearsal, on a last minute rain plan, working at a new venue and so many other pieces.
Candy and team worked with us on a minute by minute timeline and layout all the way until the day before the wedding. What you have in these documents truly comes to life with this group on board and on the day of we truly had no idea how many little things were proving difficult - we just had the BEST (most on time) DAY EVER thanks to Candy, Tori and team.
Even after the wedding, Candy and team have kept in touch - checking in on our married life - when you hire Candy and Co you gain a friend, confidant and teammate on your big day.
Bottom Line - Candy and Tori are life-savers. Book them early. -

After our friend (who has officiated many weddings) gave Candy+Co. a glowing recommendation, we set up a meeting. We were immediately impressed. Candy and Alana were professional but personable, like fountains of information, advice and reassurance. As two grooms with a lot on our plates career-wise and little knowledge wedding-wise, we immediately wanted their help. Feeling overwhelmed, they could have taken advantage of that and pressured us to use all of their services. Instead, they designed a Customized Coordination Contract catering to our needs and budget (for example, we hired most vendors on our own, but Candy+Co. helped us find our invitation-designer, florist and DJ). They offered valuable guidance about the best (and worst) Washington wedding vendors. They were always just a phone call away to answer questions. They were incredibly organized with spreadsheets. Their Décor Boards helped us visualize and organize our wedding colors, themes and dreams. Their email reminders detailing our “to do” lists each month were profoundly useful. In the final days before our wedding, Alana became our point person. She is a sweetheart, but don’t let her smile fool you. She can command a room like a drill sergeant when required. She kept us calm and collected on our big day. She averted a pocket square crisis, pulling scissors from her “wedding emergency kit.” She effortlessly managed my sometimes boisterous family. And she kept the production on track and trains running on time. We also had the pleasure of working with Bayleigh, who was Alana’s right-hand gal. She was just as pleasant and proficient. Together, they seamlessly ensured our event happened exactly as we had planned. Weeks later, we’re still getting rave reviews from our wedding guests about our show flow and event details that were facilitated or inspired by Candy+Co. We met with a number of vendors as we started to plan our wedding, and Candy immediately stuck out for her incredible professionalism, experience, and fun personality! Very quickly after we opted to bring Candy on as our coordinator, it was clear that we made the right choice. We found Candy a little late in the game, looking for a day-of coordinator. We ended up hiring her for a six-week package and it was a really good decision. She helped us find a decorator, put together a decor board, and coordinated among all of our vendors from more than a month out, which is pretty much the worst part of DIY wedding planning. She solved problems that arose and we didn't even find out until everything had been completely resolved. She also handled a lot of logistical details on the rehearsal day and day of that made everything much simpler and calmer. On the day of, she made sure that everything stayed on schedule, that we were in the right place, and that we knew when various things that we had planned (dances, toasts, etc.) were going to happen. We had a pretty non-traditional schedule for our reception, and it all went perfectly and we didn't have to worry about anything. We highly recommend Candy, even if you're only looking for a day-of coordinator. The couple of weeks before the wedding makes a huge difference! -

Candy was EXACTLY the wedding planner we needed for our event. We really were kind of clueless on everything we needed to do for our wedding, and she not only helped set a clear course of action for all of us, but also kept us on track right up to the moment we walked down the aisle. She was completely professional and reliable, kept us clearly informed all the way through the planning process, and even wrapped our guest gifts when we were getting overwhelmed! Some of our other vendors (photographer, caterer, etc.) were our personal friends, and they told us later that she took care of problems that arose on the wedding day that we knew nothing about! I could not have asked for a more amazing team and a more amazing coordinator than Tori of Candy+Co. From the moment I met Candy and Tori I knew that I was in the most capable and professional hands. I did not worry about a thing leading up to the wedding. My fiancée kept commenting on how calm I was and how relaxed I was about the whole experience. We loved working with Candy + Co, and they did an amazing job coordinating our wedding. Tori and Sydney were so careful, skilled, and professional, that we were able to focus on and enjoy what was important to us on our wedding day - getting married and enjoying the celebration with our family and friends - with complete confidence that all of the logistics of the day were in good hands!
In the planning process, Candy + Co made wonderful recommendations for the vendors we had not yet found. Our goal was to build a team for the day that we would be able to trust and which we wouldn't have to micro-manage, but could give broad direction to. Candy + Co helped us find just the right vendors for the task. We couldn't have been happier. Additionally, the to do list and timelines that Candy + Co created for us kept us on target without being overwhelming.
When during the planning process, we encountered some challenges with our caterer (whom we signed on with before beginning to work with Candy + Co), Tori effectively handled the situation with the utmost professionalism. Any problems were worked out well before our wedding day - and if any came up day of, Sydney and Tori handled it so well that we never even learned of any difficulties.
Leading up to the wedding, Candy + Co created separate day-of timelines for our vendors and for our families. I felt so comfortable knowing that everybody knew what was supposed to happen when and was glad that Sydney was keeping an eye on the timeline and the clock, keeping everything moving smoothly. Whether we stayed on schedule to the minute, I don't know, but we and our guests enjoyed a beautiful day and we never once checked a clock to make sure we were on schedule.
We had the highest confidence in Candy + Co and I cannot thank them or recommend them highly enough! They helped us put together a beautiful day, and because of them, we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day. -

There isn't enough space for me to write how much I love Candy. She was a 10 for me. My partner and I (especially me) fell in love with her from the very first moment we met. Her website is what drew me to her, professional but fun and I like fun. She was just so easy and fun to work with and helped me out tremendously with finding the venue, the photographer, caterer and florist. Her choices were spot on with what I would have chosen. She just seemed to know me and what I was looking for without even really knowing me but you would have thought we have been friends for years. Candy was great to work with. She started planning by meeting early with the bride and groom to get their overall preferences. She narrowed down the best vendors and then let us choose from there. Her coordination the day of the event was superb. I actually got to enjoy the wedding myself and didn't have to worry about things that might go wrong or things that needed to be done, e.g like making sure the transportation showed up or giving the envelope with tips to the vendors. It was worth it to just have her for the day of the event coordination but she did so much more!

I honestly could never imagine giving Candy & Co less than 5 stars across the board on a 5 star scale. My partner and I thought we would try and plan our wedding on our own to save money. It was a destination wedding...we live in NC and wanted to marry in DC. After about 45 days of us trying it on our own, we reached out to friends in DC asking for a wedding planner referral because we just could not pull the details together from NC. That's when we were introduced to Candy. Immediately, I knew I could let go of the stress and just follow her lead. We told her what we wanted generally...what we did not want....and she immediately mapped out our to do list for us as well as our budget based on what we could afford to spend. We are both very busy with our jobs and Candy & Co provided us a sense of security. Suddenly, someone as meticulous as we are, was acting on our behalf. We worked long distance, emailing one another in the early evenings and early mornings. To make a long story short, after 6 months of planning, the wedding my partner and I had dreamed of for the last 8 years, came to life and was more special, more wonderful than we ever imagined it could be. We had the pleasure of working with Candy of Candy+Co Events, who assisted us with creating our largely-DIY wedding in the nation's capital. Services provided to us included: event planning (including timeline -- a must-have), day-of coordination, vendor recommendations and coordination, Invitation suite design and production, and decor development and creation.
There might have been other vendors that could've provided us the same services, but not in nearly the same way Candy+Co Events was able to for us. In short, Candy has the biggest heart, and she truly cares about her clients and what the event means for them and their loved ones.
We wanted our wedding to be a fun gathering for 50 of our closest family and friends, most of whom were from out-of-town, and to share with them the city we call home, during what happened to be a busy tourist holiday weekend (unfortunately, we were at the mercy of the groom's work schedule). We were on a tight, limited timeline -- 3 months to plan, the groom in another state and mostly unable to assist due to his work, the bride working full-time, and no wedding party (by design). Needless to say, the bride needed a lot of help and support.
All things considered, we ultimately selected Candy+Co Events of the 3 vendors we considered because of the enthusiasm Candy expressed in helping to make our day happen -- even under some challenging circumstances, her demonstrated creativity, the genuine and down-to-earth person we felt Candy to be, and the connection we felt we had with her -- she "got" us. Candy understood our vision and our obstacles immediately and owned them. Throughout the process, she helped to brainstorm, create, problem-solve, block-and-tackle, act as confidant ... you name it, she was there to assist, was super-responsive, and (most important to us) was honest and straight-forward. Every detail turned out great, in large part due to Candy. We certainly couldn't have done it without her. -

Candy was phenomenal. She was patient and took wonderful photos. I never thought I could look so good! Even our dogs, who are normally skittish, were accommodating. She truly has not only a photography gift, but can connect with people immediately resulting in some incredible photos. -

Candy exceeded our expectations across all fronts for this photo shoot. She brings an impressive combination of creativity, spontaneity, patience (particularly with our dogs) and professionalism, all the while making sure we had fun the whole time. We had hundreds of excellent photos to choose from within days and are now just struggling narrowing it down to just a few favorites. I'd call on on Candy+Co for photography work again in a heartbeat! -
