Candace was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. I highly recommend you hire her now!! She captured the light, airy and romantic feel we wanted for our wedding perfectly! She gave us great instructions that made our photos look natural. She’s just so gosh darn good at her job. And the kindest sweetest person we met. The entire day was a dream come true because of her. We also did an engagement shoot. It was useful to practice posing and working together ahead of our wedding. On our wedding day the pics were stunning and filled with that glowy, flattering light. If you’re looking for an amazing photographer, Candace is the one for you. If you want someone who is a master of their craft and a true professional all-round, look no further. She offers something that not all photographers can – true artistry. Our wedding photos are completely unique to us and our event, they are not cookie-cutter in any way. We will treasure these photos forever. Thank you so much for capturing our day so beautifully! -

The Best Wedding Photographer … Ever!
Candace is truly amazing. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she has a great heart. My wife and I absolutely love our wedding photos and will always smile when we reminisce about our special day. Candace played such a critical role in our wedding and we cannot thank her enough for the amazing job she did. Our expectations were sky high and she exceeded those by a mile. I’d highly recommend to book with her because not only will you be getting the best photographer, but also an incredible person. -

Candace is incredible! She is thoughtful, flexible, organized, communicative and has a way with making us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera.
If you're wondering whether you should book her... DO IT! I am a person who usually hates photos of myself and I LOVED every single photo that Candace captured of my wedding. She has an elegant, documentary style that is unlike others I have seen. She is worth the investment 100 times over. I will definitely book Candace for all future life moments as well! -

The most beautiful engagement and wedding images!!
Candace is such a talented artist!!! The label "photographer" just doesn't do it justice. My hubby and I first met her for our engagement photo shoot and holy cow -- those photos were amazing!! They exceeded our expectations. We were very excited to see how our wedding day photos would look and let me tell you, they were even more amazing! Candace has such a unique eye. Her ability to make every picture a piece of art is unmatched. Everyone says our photos belong on the cover of a magazine, and I'd have to agree! The photos are probably the most investment you can make to ensure your day is captured and able to be relived via those images for years to come. If you're on the fence, please take my word for it and just book her! You won't regret it. -

Hiring Candace Sims Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our July 2022 Chicago Wedding. From our very first video call with Candace, she made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Candace embodies professionalism and approachability, and overall made the decision to choose a photographer a simple one. Our package included an engagement shoot, which was very helpful. It gave us space to get to know Candace better pre-wedding and made us feel more at ease with taking so many photos. Even the poses that felt awkward during the shoot turned out stunning in the photos.
When Candace arrived on the wedding day it was like greeting a best friend. She was so energized, excited, and complimentary - which also showed when she was behind the lens. She was constantly hyping us and the wedding party up in the most genuine way. We also had to do some pivoting with our locations for wedding day photos, and Candace made it all work without stress or issue. She showed her creativity and eye for the right scenery and light in real time as we walked down Michigan avenue. Candace’s communication was always clear and prompt. She gave us a sneak peak of photos right away (including with beautiful reels/videos too) and set expectations clearly on timing for the full gallery.
We LOVE all of our photos, and will cherish them forever. They perfectly capture our joy, love, and all of our loved ones from our big day. We highly recommend Candace Sims Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Her pricing is completely worth it for the heart, soul, and skill she puts in. We hope to stay in touch with Candace for years and years to come. We are huge fans of Candace and her incredible work. -

Candace is the best!
Candace is hands down the best vendor we worked with throughout the wedding process. She was responsive, reliable, professional, but also incredibly personable, warm, friendly, and has a way to make you feel comfortable. My brother actually thought Candace was one of my friends and after this process I do feel like I can consider her a friend. And her photos... wow! Her photos are breathtaking. She has a soft/vintage style that will make anyone look good. Just scroll through her instragram and see for yourself. We had several compliments on the way our photos turned out. HIRE CANDACE!!! -

Candace was all we could have asked for in our wedding photographer. We originally met Candace while she was shooting a wedding that we were attending as a guest. We admired her work and knew as soon as we got engaged we wanted her for our wedding. She got to know our unique preferences and really customized our experience to fit our vision. She gave us the best keepsakes from our rustic, farm wedding. We loved her so much, we actually referred our best friends to her for their wedding as well! I recommend her to anyone who is lucky enough to get her before she is booked! -

I could not have asked for a better person to work with for our wedding day. Candace is a beacon of light and suffered through rain AND freezing temps to shoot the most beautiful photos of us on our day. You can’t even tell we were all freezing when you look at the photos. Her work is absolutely amazing and her personality made me feel so comfortable and at ease all day. I cannot thank her enough for capturing our true selves. Since we felt so comfortable, she was able to capture the true (slightly quirky) elements of our relationship. I also follow her on Instagram and love seeing her talented solo and family portraits. I'll happily recommend her to my friends that are searching for a photographer!
