Becky is the MVP!

We hired Canapés to provide catering for our 60 person wedding and morning after breakfast. From the start we were impressed with the quality and creativity of the food. We wanted to do middle eastern and Mediterranean food and had originally looked for a vendor who specializes in this type of cuisine. However, Canapés simply beat the others we tried on flavors, options, and their experience in bringing it all together for a luxury and seamless experience. We worked with Becky as our catering manager and she was wonderful. She was able to pivot with us when we wanted to add things or change things, and helped us also design a wonderful breakfast for the following morning that they delivered with the main meal and we just heated up. They worked with us to have a hybrid approach where we did passed and displayed apps at cocktail hour , a gorgeous dip trio that was pre-served on the tables, then a server salad, then a buffet for the rest. We brought in our own alcohol and had some specialized mocktails, and they were totally great with using our provided items. They didn’t demand we use their rentals or buy anything in particular from them, and were totally flexible about us having speciality rentals from other companies for flatware, linens, plates, etc. I REALLY appreciated this flexibility and never felt any pressure that we HAD to get XYZ from them. They just wanted it to work for us. They also had a lot of experience at our venue (Zigbone) which made things SO much easier. I received many compliments on the food and the kids were all so happy with their kids meals as well!! All in all, I felt really lucky to work with a company that was so flexible and inviting - and we LOVED having the leftovers to live off for a few days post wedding!! Thank you Becky and the entire team at Canapés for helping us have such a great wedding weekend!!

Simply amazing

Wow, wow, WOW! We used Canapes since they were one of the preferred vendors for our venue. We had plated dinners for 100 guests. Guests chose from roasted chicken or beef tenderloin. We also added vegetarian and GF options for those guests who did not want beef or chicken. Each dinner was beautifully plated. We served hearty appetizers such as lamb burgers, mac n cheese cups and avocado spring rolls. We had several guests come up to us and tell us that it was the best wedding food they'd eaten in years. Their compliments were completely unsolicited. Canapes was worth EVERY PENNY.

Delicious Food, Great Staff

I’m so glad our venue (the Delaplaine) recommended this vendor. The food was excellent – even guests who had worked in catering remarked on the quality. Also, the staff at Canapes are pros – organized, responsive and committed to producing a great event.

JESSICA AND BECKY!!!!!! We owe you a million thanks! You two were simply amazing to work with as POC’s for Canapés. I have nothing but the yummiest things to say regarding our food and execution for the day. Professional, friendly and efficient are just a few adjectives. Awesome Experience

We engaged Canapes to cater our wedding for 101 guests. From the start, we knew the food at Canapes was fantastic, having been in the café a handful of times, and choosing them for our wedding was an easy decision. We had a general idea of what we wanted our wedding food to include, which definitely simplified our process, but Canapes has a huge repertoire for anyone who might need a little more guidance. We shared our sample menu before we booked our tasting session, and we were also provided a number of sample menus- this really helped to enhance our original vision with different items we had not considered before. When we got to our tasting, the food was even more delicious than we were expecting- and the presentation was so impressive. The team pours themselves into the food they prepare and it is so clear upon first look and first bite. Signing our contract was simple, and the contract and payment terms were reasonable and easy to understand. As our RSVPs started to come in, we learned that a number of our guests would have a number of dietary restrictions and would require special meals. This was no problem, and they happily accommodated and asked questions to ensure that they knew what our guests needed, and could prepare meals and selections that everyone could enjoy at the wedding. At the wedding, my venue had to provide its own alcohol, service staff, and equipment, but I do believe Canapes is able to provide these, if your venue does not require it to be in-house. On wedding day, amid the hustle and bustle, before we took photos, we were brought an appetizer tray to share which was great- because we were not participating in the cocktail hour with our guests. Even this small tray just for us was beautiful and delicious. When it came time for our reception, the salads and bread were just perfect- I could drink the honey basil salad dressing! The entrees were beautifully plated and just phenomenally tasty. What we really loved was that the entrees were a great size- everyone had plenty to eat. At other weddings we have been to, it seems that the entrée size is so small- but Canapes definitely filled our plates- and our guests could not have been happier. Our guests requiring special meals also made a point to thank us and let us know just how great everything was, and that they were so pleased that the caterer went out of their way to ensure their inclusion in dinner. Dessert- I am still dreaming about our cake- it was everything we wanted, and was again not only beautiful, but very tasty. We had a variety of cupcakes including one that was the flavor of our wedding cupcake. I would see a few of our guests taking 4-5 at a time and going back for seconds! And finally the late night snack- this was just the cherry on top of a perfect evening of eating. We needed some suggestions with this menu and Canapes came through with flying colors- our guests demolished the food and there were only crumbs left when we walked by! Amid the hustle and bustle, we didn’t have much opportunity to eat, but they very kindly boxed up our food which made for the best leftovers we could have imagined. We loved the food, our guests loved the food, and people are still raving about how wonderful everything was. I would gladly re-book Canapes for ANYTHING I ever need in the future and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for catering, a meal, or even just a treat from their bakery. Canapes was AMAZING! The food at our cocktail hour and reception were amazing and guests complimented on it all night. The staff and bartenders were amazing all night and was there for any of our needs! We worked with Katie all leading up to our wedding and she always had great suggestions and was there when needed.

More Than Just a Caterer

Canapés is far more than your average caterer. In the midst of a pandemic, changing staff, having a baby, and a change in venue 24 hours before our wedding, ML, Katie and the Canapés team delivered a flawless wedding day.

Both Katie and ML walked us through the process of selecting our appetizers, main course, and dessert. With literally hundreds of options, my husband and I were able onto try everything we wanted to during our tasting.

Katie accompanied us on our 30 day meeting at our initial venue, helped layout a timeline, and kept me sane to say the least.

Then when we changed our venue, Katie was right there to assist in deciding on table linens, tables, a completely new layout, decor, etc. Between Canapés and Strong Mansion, the unnecessary stress created by our previous venue and the new stress of coordinating the relocation with all of our vendors, guests, family and friends, was alleviated.

Our guests loved the food, from appetizers to the 4 different kinds of cupcakes to choose from. No one left hungry.

Canapés has it all. Delicious food. Hard working, dedicated, beyond kind staff. Tables, linens, decor, flatware, dishes, plates, etc. They’re your one stop shop.

Wonderful Staff, Food and Service!

During my years 14 years in Frederick MD, I recall attending a wedding and 3 retirement ceremonies that the services of Canape's was contracted. At every event (regardless of budget) I found myself wondering who catered the event and to my amazement Canapes Catering was the service provider.

Fast Forward to current time period, as the children have now been home for 2 weeks we have stopped in numerous times and it has been a delightful experience. The family has been embraced by a caring staff who is willing to listen and work with us as professionals. The food has been amazing and the kiddos have really enjoyed the daily lunches provided by Canapes Cafe to-go.

If you or your organization have a function to host, I strongly urge you to reach out to this well run catering service.

In the least stop in and meet the staff over lunch as they know most of their costumers by their first name and pay special attention to everyones dietary needs.

Way to go Canapes, you have truly won me over!

Perfection!!

Canapes catered my wedding this past September, and I can sum it up in one word: flawless. I worked with Jennifer from the beginning and I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. I walked into this whole wedding business without a clue what I was doing, and she was patient, kind and beyond accommodating. She was always there to answer questions and to help guide us when we needed help. As far as the food and drinks - impeccable. Our meals received rave reviews from all our guests, and every last cupcake was devoured! Next, service - absolutely spot on. All the staff were attentive and friendly and we never wanted for anything. And finally, decor and setup - absolutely wonderful. My now-husband and I snuck into the reception area before all the guests to take a peek, and the setup literally took my breath away. If you're looking for an absolutely fantastic vendor to cater your wedding, look no further!!!

Wonderful Service and Food

Not only was Canapes amazing to work with but their food is delicious. We got to work with Jennifer and Katie, who are both fantastic. During our tasting, they listened to all our feedback about the food and took notes so the dishes were prepared just how we wanted them. We also had some very specific requests due to food allergies, which they took care of no problem. They accommodated all our needs, answered all our questions, and really made us feel taken care of the entire planning process and day of. We ended up needing to implement “Plan B” the day of the wedding due to weather and the staff made it such a seamless transition. There are only 2 points of critique I have. The first one is my husband and I did not have a drink ready for us for toasts after our introduction. We planned on doing “drinks in had” for guests instead of a champagne toast, but my husband and I had brought 2 very special champagne flutes specifically for the toasts. We left instructions to have them filled for when we got to our table after we were introduced but they weren’t there for us so we had to cheers with water after my dad gave the opening toast. Secondly, for some reason our vegetarian dish wasn’t served correctly and came without any sauce on it. We didn’t make any changes to that meal so we are unsure why it was served that way and unfortunately it did not look very appetizing and was told it only tasted ok. Besides those two critiques, we would definitely use them again for any other event we may have in the future and overall had a very positive and wonderful experience with them.

Went Above And Beyond

I was so impressed with the quality of service, and ability of Canapes to truly cater to our every need for the evening. They offer many different types of food for everyone and provided special meals to guests with food allergies. They helped with the seating arrangements and set up. They even made my cake. I couldn't have had my wedding without them. Our guests loved the food. The price was also very fair and reasonable.

Very Flexible

Most vendors are all booked up months before the wedding date. Canapes has enough staff to allow for 3 weddings in one weekend. We met and did a tasting which was WONDERFUL, while we were there they let us see the table settings and choose based on our color scheme, style, and taste. In addition, they were super flexible with us changing our minds about the menus and all over and over. They have been so helpful through everything.

Fantastic Food & Service

Canapes made the wedding catering process easy. They were attentive and incorporated several revisions to our proposal over the entire planning process, providing great counsel along the way. Delicious and vegan

My husband and I are vegan and spent a lot of time trying to find a caterer to fit our needs. Canapés was wonderful. They created a vegan menu for our wedding without a second though. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful!

We were a ThorpeWood wedding that had Canapes as our caterer and they were amazing! The food we had was delicious (BBQ with pulled pork and fried chicken)! Mike did a great job of making sure we were taken care of the day of our wedding. We had heard many horror stories of people not being able to eat on their wedding day, but he made sure that we got our fill! The tasting that we had at Canapes before the wedding was relaxed and easy for us to make a decision. Mike was able to give us good recommendations that allowed us to create the perfect meal for us and our guests. Throughout the whole process, they were very responsive and anytime there was a question or change, they were always accommodating. Thank you Mike and Canapes for helping make our wedding amazing!

While planning for our September wedding, we knew one of the most important parts of the day for us would be the food – we are so glad we chose Canapes! We have been told over and over again by our guests that this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and we certainly agree. However, it is not just the food that would make us recommend Canapes to anyone; it was the excellent customer service we received throughout the entire process of planning our wedding and the service that our guests received on the night of our wedding. From the very start, any communication we made was responded to immediately and our experience with the company throughout the process was incredibly professional. We had the privilege of working with Mike Delphey who assisted us throughout the entire process to pick foods our guests will love, to manage our many guests with dietary restrictions, and to help us make decisions (about everything from décor to drinks) that would help make the night a success while maintaining our budget. Mike was with us throughout the evening, assuring we had everything we needed, and our guests raved about his and his staff’s service. Every guest left feeling like they were important and well taken care of – and very full. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Canapes and we highly encourage anyone looking for a caterer to use their excellent services!

Canapés catered my wedding at Thorpewood (Mountain Memories) and they are phenomenal! The food (butlered apps, entrees, and cake) was delicious. Mike was so accommodating, considerate, and helpful from the beginning to end. He also helped us select our decor. We also got our linens and bartender from Canapés. They are super professional, well managed, experienced, and easy to work with. My parents also had rave reviews for them! I am so happy to have had Canapés cater my wedding! 11 out of 10!!

If I could give Canapes 6 stars, I would. This vendor provides absolutely exceptional catering, but when you book them you get so much more than that. Our Canapes event planner Mike really acted as our wedding planner for the entire event, working closely with us on planning a variety of things, and was the focal point for many of our vendors, including the actual venue. The three dishes, many butlered appetizers, AND the cake were all amazing. Mike worked with us before the wedding, as well as during the wedding, to make sure that our day was absolutely perfect, and to make sure that we actually got to enjoy it as well. Canapes was the most important vendor for our entire wedding day. And again, I could not give enough thanks to Mike!!

The food as GREAT! My husband and I had our own personal server. Our personal server always made sure we had a drink, and greeted us after the ceremony before pictures with a drink and had a plate of food for us! Canapes was very accommodating to our needs. We did a plated reception and they were very good about checking with us for the courses to make sure the timing was right! their professionalism and time management was perfect, and the food was terrific!

MIKE DELPHY AT CANAPES IS THE BEST. Canapes was a wonderful caterer to work with! My initial point of contact had left Canapes while I was planning my wedding, and about a month before the wedding, I met Mike, who took over. He had worked with my venue multiple times which made me so calm about the night going smoothly since the venue has so many catering rules and restrictions. Mike was super accommodating to all my needs and super responsive to my overly long emails and multiple phone calls.

The day of the wedding, he took charge and I honestly cannot think of anything that went wrong. The tables, chairs, linens, plates, glasses, EVERYTHING was exactly how we talked about. Even down to the little cards I had asked be tucked into the napkins. Mike and his team are definitely willing to work with you and accommodate your needs.

Lastly, and most importantly... The food was DELICIOUS. They have such a large selection and will create anything dish! All of guests loved the food.

If you're looking for tasty food and 5 start quality service, just book Canapes. You won't regret it!

Capanes catered my October 2016 wedding. I spoke with Mike mostly and he was amazing! I must have sent him a million emails between our first consult and the actually wedding day. Mike responds very quickly and is very flexible and accommodating. During the wedding and at the end of the night Mike checked on us multiple times and even packaged up the leftover food for use to take home. The food was superb. My guests are still raving about how delicious it was. We did a family style dinner and it was perfect. The staff during the event were very professional. My husband and I had a very specific cake flavoring that we wanted and our wedding cake turned out wonderfully. I would definitely recommend Canapes to any bride.

My husband and I got married July, 2016 and choose Canapes Catering for our wedding day initially because our venue (Strong Mansion) recommended them. And we are so grateful we did and we were not disappointed! Their menu options are endless and they also provide tables, chairs, linens, etc which is very helpful. When we first met with Mike Delphey for our tasting, we knew this was not only going to be a memorable experience but also a fun one. He has such a big personality and you can’t help but laugh when around him. He gave many great suggestions/recommendations which truly helped make the process less stressful and strives to create the wedding day we had envisioned. He was very responsive and willing to answer my million questions I had throughout the whole process. Mike had also served as our day of coordinator and definitely did an amazing job taking care of our guests, but most importantly, my husband and I. He insured we were well fed, gave great instruction and helped keep us on schedule.
The day of the wedding, everything came together beautifully and the food was DELICIOUS! Our family and friends came up to us during the wedding (and also after) to tell us how amazing the food and service was. And not to mention, the cake! Our cake came out beautiful and was so delicious! The staff was also very professional and on top of things throughout the whole event.
My husband and I cannot recommend their services enough! Our wedding day sure was a day to remember and Canapes Catering played a huge role in that.

We worked with Canapes for our fall 2016 wedding at Thorpewood in Thurmont, MD! We worked mainly with Mike for the tasting and planning, and then with Mika on the day of our event. They were both amazing to work with- responsive, understanding and easy going. During our reception, Mika personally checked on my husband and I several times to make sure we had everything we needed and that everything was going as planned. The food was unbelievable- I still have guests asking me about the menu 3 weeks later! There are so many options, and everything is delicious! Prices are fair as well. I would highly recommend Canapes for all of you wedding and celebration needs!!!

Canapes was amazing! I couldn't have hired a better caterer for the day of my wedding. They constantly kept in touch and responded so quickly to any little question I may have had. Food is phenomenal! We had our wedding at Strong Mansion and Canapes is their #1 recommendation... we called them first, had a consult and tasting and signed on the dotted line the same week! We didn't feel the need to look elsewhere... they gave us no hesitation and they work with Strong Mansion so closely all the time.

They boxed up all the leftovers at the end of the wedding and sent them home with my parents. They set up everything so perfectly! The staff was a joy to work with. Mike was so pleasant to work with leading up to the wedding and also on the day of. John was also so extremely pleasant to work with. He was so friendly, accommodating and figured things out when I couldn't! He always approached my husband and I with a smile on his face and even made sure we always had a drink and made our plates for us (we had buffet style) so we did not have to get up from our table and serve ourselves.

We also used them for table, chairs, linens, bars (not alcohol it self), staff, set up, clean up... basically everything you could need for your wedding!

FANTASTIC! It's been over a month since my wedding and I'm still thinking about how delicious the food was. Canapes worked closely with us to attune our menu to perfection. With Michael and his staff, and the help of our photographer, we did not need a wedding planner, despite what others had warned us. During our planning process, our initial caterer from Canapes transitioned to a new job, and we were then matched up with Mike. It couldn't have been better! Mike was fantastic, and very easy to communicate with.

On the day of our wedding, there was some stress between us and other vendors, but when Mike showed up with his staff, they brought things under control and tempered negative emotions. I am so grateful for all the hard work he and his staff put out to make our wedding PERFECT and memorable. Our guests RAVED (and still do) about how good the food was, and how it's the best wedding food they'd ever had.

Canapes has an ample supply of linens and tableware, which tremendously cut down on costs compared to other vendors in the area. Definitely recommend them!

Canapes catered my wedding at Thorpe Wood and WOW I cannot express how amazing they were. I can only rave about all aspects of this company. I suppose the most important thing is the food was outstanding, but I think it’s really valuable to consider the quality of care and service you get along the way. Being a wedding, this was a very stressful time. I live abroad, have a very stressful mother, and was on a tight budget. With all this being said, Canapes, particularly Mike, was so caring, accommodating and relaxed. He assured me I could basically have whatever I wanted and anything was possible and he lived up to his word. The day of our wedding went so smoothly, they remembered everything. We were a “small” wedding, of about 83 people and only had a couple of servers (to our benefit from a cost standpoint). I was very worried about guest getting drinks and food during dinner with such limited staff. Just as Mike said, it was absolutely fine. Guests were closely attended to, the food and drinks were promptly served and the food was outstanding.
Another small detail worth mentioning and I feel silly saying this but when you are having something catered and essentially paying a fee for each piece of dish, cutlery and glass it’s nice when the quality is really attractive. The wine glasses were particularly beautiful and the displayed stacked which looked amazing.
Canapes is very clear at the on onset with what you will be charged for, with everything itemized. I appreciated that. I had been told that Canapes food is outstanding, but expensive, or at least more expensive than the other caterer on the venue list. However, I couldn’t get a sense of how much I would have paid if I used the other caterer. I appreciated Canapes being really upfront and clear from the beginning. It is definitely a company with a lot of experience. Mike made us feel like king and queen for the day. We were pretty high maintenance, and never once did Mike make us feel we were.

Canapés exceeded all of my expectations. They have an extensive menu and we were able to select some rather unique foods. The food was fabulous - with guests raving about the Peruvian Chicken, Beef Tenderloin, Esquites (corn dish) and the Red Velvet and Tres Leches cakes! They recommended the family style service which worked out beautifully. They also did a great job of bartending! The staff was great to work with...very friendly, accommodating, and flexible. Compared to other caterers we had checked out, Canapés won hands down for the quality, value, and service! Canapés had never worked at the venue we used, and now the venue owners have added them to short list of preferred caterers and plan to use them for their daughter's wedding next summer.

Canapés provided the most incredible food and decorations at my wedding. Mike kept the night moving and coordinated a fabulous wedding. The food was amazing...especially the appetizers. Everyone had a wonderful time at our daughter's wedding and much of that was due to Canapes staff who worked hard to make everything perfect! After meeting them the first time, we were confident they would do everything needed to make our daughter's wedding all she hoped for and they did just that! The bride and groom wanted a menu of fall foods and the options available from Canapes were amazing! They had fun reading all the descriptions of the delicious offerings and coming up with the menu. They appreciated Canapes' suggestions and their willingness to make our special family green bean recipe. We also were happy Canapes let us provide our own desserts. I felt no stress in the days leading up to the wedding knowing Canapes staff had everything under control. At the wedding, everything looked amazing! The food looked fantastic and tasted even better. We got compliments from all our guests - many commenting it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding - or anywhere, for that matter :) They accommodated a large range of allergies and all went flawlessly. All the food fit perfectly with the fall theme - from the appetizers through the entrees and side dishes. They did an amazing job setting up the cookies we provided - no small task with 13 varieties! In addition to the beautiful set-up and delicious food, their service was flawless. Many guests commented how helpful, friendly, cheerful and overall wonderful the Canapes staff was. The employees take pride in their work and their company, and are happy in their jobs. It is rare in this day and age to find loyalty like theirs, and I am confident it is well deserved. It was a pleasure to work with Canapes. Clean-up at the end of the night was a blur. Everything was packed up and loaded in cars quickly and easily in large part due to the hard work, experience and professionalism of the Canapes staff. We truly can't thank Canapes enough for all they did to make our daughter's wedding a magical night!

At my husband’s and my recent wedding at Thorpewood near Thurmont, MD, we had the joy of working with Canapes to cater our event! Canapes is a gem among wedding vendors, and we could not have asked for a better (or more delicious!) experience. They have a colossal menu, and pretty much can prepare any food you want, all for a fairly reasonable price.

My husband and I have a very high standard for food, and Canapes exceeded our already high expectations. We opted for a buffet of fried chicken (which stayed crispy and hot, something you get rarely with catered fried foods), pulled beef with two choices of sauce, caraway cole slaw, and our favorite, the French Fry bar! Canapes prepared five choices—ketchup, malt vinegar, Old Bay, poutine and melted cheddar. For dessert, they made “build your own” ice cream sandwiches. Each dish was prepared perfectly, very flavorful and cooked with love. All of our guests have raved about the meal too.

We were fortunate enough to work with Mike, who organized our initial tasting six months prior and served as our coordinator in the months leading up to the wedding and the day-of. Mike is more of a friend than a vendor—he dealt with our barrage of questions with a laugh, smile and joke, and he consistently bent over backward to accommodate our every request, no matter how ridiculous (see French Fry bar).

It is important to mention that we are a same-sex couple. Mike and the entire staff were nothing but gracious, kind and supportive, and made us feel totally at ease.

The Canapes staff is extremely professional and exudes confidence and remarkable attention to detail. From the beautiful presentation of the hors d’oeuvres (who even thinks about the presentation of hors d’oeuvres??) to the care that they took to ensure that we, the newlyweds, could eat and drink at our reception, Canapes is the rare company who goes the extra mile and then some to make their clients happy. We certainly were!

We chose Canapes based on several very positive recommendations from friends/family and they more than lived up to their excellent reputation. They were a pleasure to work with, responsive, and flexible. They worked with me when I wanted a number of changes to the contract (getting lawyer review was the only delay in our process). The food was amazing - we got really great feedback from our guests and it even tasted great days later in the meals they had packaged up for us! Daniel, our coordinator, was just the best. He was so helpful, gave us great advice, and just managed everything on the day like a total pro. He answered our many questions during our walkthrough, helped get everything set up and organized, and just made it so that we didn't have to worry about a catering-related thing on the day. I cannot recommend Canapes highly enough.

My experience with Canapes Catering was amazing. When I met Mike at Canapes I just had a great feeling about him and knew I could trust him completely. He helped my husband and I perfect our wedding menu and accommodated our special requests. He was so much fun to work with and it was such an enormous relief knowing I didn't have to worry on the day of my wedding because I knew Mike and his team would ensure everything went perfectly, and it did. The food was fabulous, the cake was fabulous, everything was FABULOUS. I cant say enough wonderful things about my experience with Canapes. Canapes was wonderful to work with! Though the pricing at first seemed a bit steep, Adrienne and Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed for our wedding - really following through to make sure their services were worth every penny! Every detail was covered thoroughly and even when I made changes the week before the wedding, they were happy to accommodate. We felt very well taken care of and the food for our buffet-style reception was excellent! The cake was a tiny bit different than what had been planned but that was only due to the characteristics of the cake itself. It all worked out and everything was just as great as we had imagined it to be! Many thanks to Canapes for making our reception wonderful!

Canapés is the exclusive caterer for Thorpewood. When we decided on Thorpewood, I read the reviews for Canapés and knew they would be amazing. I just didn’t know HOW AMAZING! One of the best things about going to weddings is the food. My husband and I knew that we wanted our guests to remember the food. Canapés has a HUGE menu. Choosing what we wanted for our tasting was so difficult because everything sounded so amazing! Before our tasting we were told to come hungry, and they meant it! There was so much food, we left stuffed with a ton of left overs! Everything we tried was delicious. Canapés also provided our cakes, the guests loved the Boston cream pie cake!

The best part about our experience with Canapés was Mike. 2,000 characters is not enough to explain how great he is. We first met Mike at our tasting, which was supposed to last about 2 hours. We finally left the tasting 4 hours and many laughs later! Mike is so wonderful. He has such a radiant personality, you can’t help but smile when you are around him.

The day of the wedding Mike made sure we were well taken care of. As soon as we arrived at the lodge after the ceremony, he brought us our own appetizers and drinks. At dinner, he made us our plates (dinner was buffet style) and made sure we had everything we needed. Mike also made sure to take care of my mother-in-law, she became very close with him (as we did) at the tasting. One of our guests was a vegetarian, and he had the kitchen make something up especially for her. He stuck around for the reception and really felt like part of our family. Mike is now a family friend, and we look forward to many more laughs.

Canapés service was flawless, the weightier were very professional and polite. The food and cake was just as we remembered it from the tasting, if not better! If you are looking for an amazing caterer with top notch service and food, look no further than Canapés! And ask for MIKE!

We could not have asked for a better caterer than Canapes. As soon as we had our tasting we knew that if the food was half as good on the day, it would be an awesome night. Through their suggestion we served the food family style and it was such a good choice. The apps and dinner were everything we expected and more. Guests are still raving about how delicious the food was at our wedding (especially the short ribs!).

We had the pleasure of working with both Mike and Adrienne who made the whole process a breeze from start to finish. They answered all of my random questions quickly and efficiently, made recommendations for other vendors, and eased my many worries. Our venue was totally a la carte and on the day-of Adrienne made sure everything was set up and looking beautiful. They were AMAZING!

I literally cannot say enough nice things about the people at Canapes, never mind the food (which was spectacular).

My wife and I worked with Adrienne, who is the reason why everything came together the way it did for our wedding day. She was not only our caterer but also our de facto day-of organizer. She couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating, or helpful. Even if you got below average food from Canapes, you will be happy based on their level of professionalism and quality of service.

But the food was anything but below average. It was the best food I've had at a wedding -- I wish they had a restaurant so we could go and eat more of it. I can't say enough nice things about Canapes, Adrienne, and their food. Just spectacular.

One of the things I focused on the most for my wedding was food, and I am so glad I chose Canapes. I actually only had tastings with two different vendors, but Canapes blew the other one out of the water!

Not only is their food absolutely delicious, but they just know the wedding business so well. They were such a big help to me during the entire process in figuring out my wedding flow, and they were so great at helping me keep the cost reasonable, even if it meant that I didn't go through them for everything. The company really goes above and beyond on customer service, even managing to help me find chevron runners I could rent from them for my tables.

The food though - the food was divine. I had so many of my guests tell me how great the food is. Not only does Canapes provide a HUGE list of possible selections, they also are able to customize food to things not on their original list! I described one of my favorite pasta dishes to them, and then I brought a sample for them to try. They re-created it for my wedding, and also re-created a different appetizer from another restaurant I loved.

My entire experience was so wonderful, they're really on top of their game. I would definitely recommend !

Adrienne, worked with us to make the perfect menu in our price range. She was fair about counts changing, knew the business inside and out, helped us to develop our timeline. The catering was done at a private residence and they served hot food in a timely fashion to 145 guests with no foodservice kitchen! Many guests came up to me and commented on how great the food was each and every piece. As a foodie, I was impressed with the food and service and would recommend Canapes to anyone needing catering! Very professional and prompt in responses.

We held our reception at Strong Mansion in Dickerson, MD and followed the advice of the coordinator there to look into having Canapes as our caterer, as Canapes does many of the weddings at Strong Mansion. We are very glad to have made this decision. When we looked into our catering options, we found that Canapes provided the most value (which we defined as quality, diversity and amount of food for each guest). We loved working with our coordinator, Mike. He made things very easy for us, even coming up with a creative solution after the father of the bride spilled an entire vase of water on the middle of the head table. We actually liked the solution better than the initial tablecloth situation! His staff made sure we had enough to eat and drink, as well as ensuring the same for all of our guests. The food was also amazing, a year later people are still talking about it. It was the little details, like the fact that the butternut squash ravioli were cut in the shape of hearts or that all the canapes not only tasted great but looked beautiful. One of our most important wedding elements was our food (we'd fall into the category of "foodies") and we were not disappointed. Additionally, they did a wonderful job with our wedding cake. We wanted something simple, but delicious and the chocolate cake with ganache and fresh strawberries in between the layers was just the ticket! I'd highly recommend Canapes for weddings!

Canapés catered our wedding and did an outstanding job. We worked with Daniel to create a menu that was tailored to our taste. He was extremely helpful and accommodating, especially since we changed the menu multiple times before it was "official." The day of the event we had not provided a list of meals for specific tables yet Daniel quickly made arrangements to utilize the place cards to find this information. He problem solved and didn't make it a burden or extra task for us to do. The food during the cocktail hour was spectacular. Everyone raved about the scallop bite and tuna on wonton crisp while our favorite was the bacon wrapped fig. The dinner was delicious as well. The servers were efficient and polite and served all of out guests quickly. There was ample food and the homemade rolls were amazing. Canapés also quickly accommodated food changes at the last minute. The cake was perfect and such a great way to end our meal. The guests loved the cake options. Canapés provided us with two extra meals, and additional appetizers upon our request as well as all of the leftover cake neatly packaged at the end of the evening. Canapés made our wedding spectacular and an event that many raved about. Thank you so much for your attention to detail, amazing suggestions and great flexibility. Canapes is AMAZING! Their food is so good and all of their staff are so super sweet. I could not have asked for better service during the reception. Our bartender even came up with a signature drink on the fly! Their services, in my opinion, are best when paired with ThorpeWood as the venue because that is where their main kitchen is. All of our food was piping hot and tasted delicious!

My husband and I had Canapes cater our 8/3/13 wedding. From the beginning we had a non traditional idea for how we would like our food served and Mike from Canapes was able to work with us to completely bring our vision to life at our wedding. We were more than satisfied with the outcome of the food and all of our guests were so impressed. When we went for our tasting the food was so amazing that our only problem was what to pick!! Not a bad problem to have. However that's where Mike really helped out by guiding us in the right direction while still staying true to our vision. On the day of our wedding Mike and his team worked hard to see that our day went off flawlessly. We felt that the food was delicious and the food was readily available for the guests. The bar area went smoothly and there were no complaints about waiting in line as Canapes ensured that it just flowed. Canapes helped with all aspects of the wedding on the day of to make sure everything was perfect. We also decided to go with Canapes for our wedding cake and we were so happy with the cake from the look to the taste. I am so happy we hired Canapes for our wedding. After looking at a few catering companies, we went with Canapes because of their reputation, their experience with our venue, their event expertise from all angles, and the fact that they essentially do EVERYTHING.
Their talented chefs make everything from scratch and are happy to make something that’s not on their menus. I wanted our cocktail hour to feature Greek hors d’oeuvres and they had many options for us to choose from. My picky Greek mom raved about each hors d’oeuvre we tried. We didn’t want a traditional cake and when we asked if they would make a tart my mom makes that we both love, Adrienne was more than happy to look at the recipe and talk to the chefs. They made an amazingly delicious tart for us, just like my mom’s. I received so many compliments on all of the food.
Adrienne was incredible to work with. I live in New York, so we emailed back and forth a lot and she was thorough and prompt in answering my questions. I like Adrienne because she will do anything you want to make sure you’re happy, but she will also be constructive and share her opinions. I really appreciated that and trusted her expertise. Because of this, my mother-in-law hired Canapes to do our rehearsal dinner as well.
She was a great day-of coordinator, keeping us all together in the right places at the right times. After the vans transporting our guests arrived 45 minutes late, the staff adjusted without rushing through any part of the night. When my husband and I decided to keep the reception going, Adrienne coordinated with her staff and was nice enough to speak to our other vendors. She quoted what the additional hour would cost and we decided it was worth it. We are grateful to her for doing that.
Overall, we had an amazing experience working with Adrienne and the staff of Canapes. If I and or any of my family members or friends are ever in need of a catering company for an event in the future, I’m going right to Canapes!

Exceeded my expectations for a catering company. Adrienne was the most helpful, professional, and lovely coordinator. Food was delicious and tasted just as it did when we had our tasting trial. Make Canapés you first hire for a wedding reception. They are much more than a caterer. Canapés is a full service provider, as claimed on the website. We were assigned Adrienne early on and she helped us with the venue, the schedule and provided great support as we approached the event date. We had 220 guests and at no time did I feel we needed a third party planner with Canapés by your side. They cooperated fully with our other vendors and on the day of the wedding were very flexible, as we changed our table set up plans the day of the reception. The tasting is well worth the time because it is fun and useful pre-planning takes place during the tasting. The food is absolutely superb. All of our guests were very happy and we got great feedback on the food. Canapés makes you look like a veteran party hero.

Canapes Catering was absolutely amazing. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard "best wedding food I have ever had!" We worked with Adrienne in planning our menu and everything else and she was just awesome to work with. She was extremely responsive, listened to our ideas and delivered with everything we asked, and made me feel so at ease with everything. Adrienne and her staff were amazing. The food at our wedding was very important to us. We also had many kosher guests and the staff didn't make me feel uncomfortable about it or like they couldn't accommodate us. They were amazing. The desserts were AMAZING. I am actually ordering a cake for my baby's first birthday from them. I wish I could have my wedding meal again! The day was perfect and Adrienne was so helpful and made everything go so smoothly!

Mike and the Canapes team were outstanding in every possible way. They were responsive, professional, flexible, and their food was outstanding. From the tasting (which was a wonderful experience in and of itself) through to the ceremony, we couldn't have been happier. They managed to perfectly match the color of the cake icing to the light blue seaglass we used as an accent, and even did a nice job of accommodating a request for a traditional Persian dish that requires a lot of preparation and attention to detail. And the food itself was delicious! We got compliments from all of our guests - the cake in particular was spectacular. We couldn't recommend them more highly

I really cannot say enough about how great Canapes was for our wedding! Planning with Mike was very smooth and I knew I could contact him via email or phone whenever I had questions or concerns. The food at our tasting was delicious so making a decision for the wedding was very difficult. The food presented on the wedding day was just as delicious as what we had at the tasting. Several guests have commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had! We opted for family style; where each guest chose their entree but the sides were served in larger bowls and left on the table. Outside of the food, Canapes set up our venue exactly as I imagined! The tables were beautiful and their team graciously set up cupcakes my sister had baked. Everything was just great! My husband and I reflected on the day numerous times while on our honeymoon and we have no regrets! I can honestly say this was because of the service Canapes provided us!

Casey and I could never thank Adrienne, ML, and the Canapes team enough for the incredible food and amazing service they provided to us. Our wedding turned out to be exactly what we had hoped for and we owe a large amount of credit to Canapes. We realize the whole feel of the wedding would have been very different (cheaper-feeling in many ways) had we gone with another catering company that doesn't provide the quality of food and service that Canapes does.

Our guests were raving about the hors d'oeuvres (tostones, empanaditas, gazpacho, spring eggrolls, & seasonal fruit) and the dinner menu (pulled pork barbecue, beef brisket, panzanella & bocconcini, grilled vegetables, rosemary & garlic roasted potatoes, asian slaw, elote penne, & fresh baked cornbread & rolls). Everyone ate lots of food and we were told by many guests that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. We are very glad we chose to do buffet style for dinner; it allowed guests to go back for seconds, thirds, even fourths! If my wedding gown had allowed for some expansion, I would have gone for more food, too!

Adrienne brought Casey and I sangria and hors d'oeuvres to the bridal suite so we could have a few minutes alone and relax during the cocktail hour. She coordinated the entire event with the venue rep, DJ, photographers and made sure everything was running smoothly. Adrienne also made sure Casey and I and our immediate family members got to eat first (we were not gonna miss out on this amazing food!!)

From the time we began talking to Canapes about coming in for a tasting, it was evident they were a very professional and experienced company with a great team and excellent service. Adrienne responded to our questions quickly and gave us lots of advice along the way. The guidance they provided to us during our year of planning was priceless.

We recommend Canapes with the highest level of regard and are very grateful to them!

Who needs a wedding planner when you have Canapes? Not only was the food incredible, delicious and produced rave reviews from guests - but Canapes was also incredibly generous and helpful in helping me think through my whole event and in coordinating with other vendors to make sure things went smoothly. The cake was also off the charts delicious, I wish I had had a bigger slice! I'd recommend Canapes, particularly Mike and Adrienne, for any and all catering in the Frederick area.

The cake was amazing in many ways. They are particular sensitive to food related allergies. For us they made a gluten free cake. Gluten free cakes that taste good are particularly hard to find. Usually they are dry and fall apart. Well not this cake. It was amazing. Everyone loved it and said it was the best wedding cake they have ever tasted. The guests were not even aware that it was gluten free. Mike at Canapes really took his time to sit down with us to create a perfect design. It went well with the colors, décor and style. I was so excited when I saw it, it was just amazing. Canapes is also very reasonably priced but do not supplement the quality of their work for a reasonable price. They are also very accommodating. I would highly recommended Canapes for your cake. If fact I have recommended them to my maid of honor who also loved the cake and is also going to use them for her cake as well.

We got a great recommendation from our florist to work with Canapes and we were so happy that we did. We worked with Mike for most of the time and he did a great job. Very flexible and worked with us on price as well. Mike even let us do an extra tasting when we still couldn't make up our minds because there were so many that we loved! :) The cake tasted fantastic and looked amazing too. We ended up doing a three tier cake for about 80 people and two sheet cakes (in the back) to feed the rest of the guests. It was a great cost saving option, and really let us get a perfect sized cake to display for the guests too. We actually liked working with Mike so much that we ended up having them cater our Rehearsal Dinner and people are still talking about how great the food for that was! I would recommend Canapes to anyone! Canapes did a great job, I did a review for them for the cake, which was great, and I wanted to make sure I mentioned how great of a job they did with our rehearsal dinner as well. We did a buffet style dinner at a park pavillon. They were flexible, on time, helpful, and the food tasted great. We got a lot of compliments. We did our own alcohol and desserts and it all worked out perfectly!

The food at the wedding was actually even better than the tasting! (We had 75 guests to give an idea of amounts) Additionally, we served the beef at medium rare, and every guest had perfectly cooked meat. They treated every guest like they were in the wedding party, took amazing care of the bride and groom & made any adjustment we needed, any time we needed it. The wedding cake was STUNNING and with just a singe photo as reference, created a more beautiful cake than we could have hoped for. Additionally, at the last minute our rehearsal dinner venue canceled on us, and Canapes immediately said they could handle it, made up a menu that was similar to our original desired and took care of the entire rehearsal dinner without any added stress. Mike was absolutely the best to work with, great sense of humor and took everything that we tossed his way in stride. Loved, loved loved everything.

We chose Canapes to make our cake because they were the in-house caterers for the venue we chose, ThorpeWood. They offered so many different amazing looking cake flavors, mousses, ganaches and toppings. It was hard to even narrow it down to a few to do the tasting. In the tasting we actually got to try three different kinds of mini-cakes with all of the different layers that would be inside them for the wedding. They were all absolutely delicious! For our Fall-themed wedding we ended up choosing a hazelnut cake, with dark chocolate ganache and buttercream frosting. It was probably the best cake I have ever eaten in my life. It was also really gorgeous and decorated wonderfully with flowers delivered from our florist.

Mike Delphey at Canapes Catering is my hero; I think he's my husbands as well. We are picky people and I knew going into our first catering appointment that we were going to be difficult clients. Mike and the Canapes team worked with us to capture exactly what we were looking for regarding food (presentation, design, taste, etc). We are foodies and were on a budget however you would have never known that cost was a concern. We felt as though we were eating at a 5 star restaurant. There were no details missed. Everyone says that when you’re planning for your wedding you should expect at least one thing to go wrong and not stress out if it does. I can honestly say that everything at our wedding went just as we’d hoped and Canapes was a main reason why!

When I first met with Mike, I was impressed by the fact that he was warm and friendly but also very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions thoroughly and I knew that we would have fun working together. I was also relieved to know that Canapes would be able to provide tables, chairs, linens and the cake. But what really sold me was when we went to Thorpewood to try M.L.’s food. As I told Mike, my family doesn’t really like to drink or party but we definitely love to eat! It was VERY important to me that the wedding food be excellent and not generic “wedding food.” At our tasting, I really felt like we were being treated to a great meal at a fine restaurant. Every course was tasty and served with great style. Even the pigs in a blanket came with little artistic swirls of ketchup and mustard.

Throughout the wedding process, Mike was readily available to answer questions and give advice. When I arrived at the Strong Mansion on the day of our wedding, Mike was already well into setting up. He coordinated the entire day - in addition to getting all the food served – and it all went off easily. We got many compliments on the relaxed atmosphere of the wedding and the great food.

The Canapes team did a fabulous job. The food was wonderful and beautiful presented, the chairs and linens were set up with style and the event flowed smoothly. I would recommend them to ANYONE. And we will definitely be going to Thorpewood for some anniversary meals.

Our daughter's wedding was held at ThorpeWood and the caterer there is Canapes. Mike was great, very helpful with food selection and with the linens. The food at the wedding was fantastic. So many of our guests complimented the food. Several told me they had seconds. And one very finicky eater told me it was the best food she had at a wedding reception. The food is flavored with herbs and spices and not just salt. The chicken cordon bleu was fantastic. We brought the leftovers home and had them for dinner the next night.If you have a coffee bar please remember to let your guests know to serve themselves, several of our guests didn't realize they could serve themselves.

We chose to use Canapes after hearing from the area about thier excellant food. We tasted our cake at Thorpewood and it was amazing. I gave them a picture of how I wanted my cake and they completely captured the look I was going for. My daughter chose an early August wedding at ThorpeWood (great choice as it turns out!), and the only caterer you can use there is Canapes. How fortunate for us! From planning right through the night of the event, Canapes was fantastic to work with. I got an amazing number of comments on the fabulous food and service at the wedding and for weeks afterward. And they truly deserved all the compliments. I know many caterers in the Washington metro area, but from now on, I'm turning to Canapes first. The quality and service was unbeatable. I cannot express or write enough on how wonderful Canapes was for my wedding this June at Strong Mansion. Adrienne is wonderful and made sure every little detail went smoothly. It is nice to know that everything is being taken care of and you can focus on being the bride. Everything was perfect from the seating cards, to the centerpieces, flowers, favors, candy bar table, food, cake and the flow of the day. Everything looked beautiful and Adrienne, with her staff, had everything together to make my vision come together!

I was able to drop off boxes of items I wanted to be set-up when we did our walk thru so it was one less thing to worry about on the actual day of the wedding. Adrienne and her staff set-up all the little extras I had made and wanted up on the wedding day, which I'm not sure how many caterers would do that. The staff even boxed everything up at the end of the night so my family could enjoy the whole evening.

This is a one-stop-shop caterer! You can rent your table, chairs, linens from them so it is one less thing to worry about when organizing your wedding, which is another thing we loved about Canapes. They will also work with you if you want to rent the equipment from someone else. However, after pricing things out, we realized it made the most sense to use Canapes.

The food was incredible and the presentation was amazing! After tasting Canapes food no other caterer we visited compared for the value of what we were getting with Canapes. The appetizers are great and they will even boxed up the extras so that you or your family can take them home! We left a day to relax before departing on our honeymoon, so it was great to sample our wedding day treats one more time.

As for my wedding cake, I had a vision of what I wanted my cake to look like and they were able to make it happen. I looked around and did other tastings, however, when we tasted Canapes cakes...WOW! Not only do they taste fantastic, they look fabulous. Adrienne was wonderful with helping us come up with good ideas were we could save money since we had a budget we were working with.

If you are looking for quality food, a professional staff and the insurance that everything will go smoothly I would strongly recommend looking into Canapes. I would rate Canapes higher if I could!

Canapes catered my father's 90th birthday party, and we couldn't have been happier! Mike Delphey and his wonderful staff had catered a formal party for 300 people right before our casual party of 75, and we received the same professionalism and service. Even when a storm blew in right before our outdoor party began, they calmly and quickly moved the set tables around so as not to be ruined. The food was terrific and the staff incredibly friendly! They went out of their way to make sure that every guest was happy. Everything from the planning with Mike (who is a dream to work with!) to the set up and clean up went smoothly. We would highly recommend Canapes Catering for your wedding. We were so impressed with the job they did for us. The food was amazing. The presentation was impeccable. The set up and attention to detail was spot on. The venue staff said they were the most professional caterers they had ever had to work the venue to date. They fulfilled all their promises and then some. We were concerned because of the lack of a kitchen on the premises, but you would have never known. Everything was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious. Their pricing was right in line with all the other caterers we shopped but the quality of their food far surpassed all others. I wouldn't even consider anyone but Canapes for all our future events. They really are the BEST!

Canapes was by far my favorite vendor that I worked with. Choosing the caterer was extremely important to me, since I and many friends who would be at the wedding are foodies. I wanted to choose a caterer who not only provided great tasting/looking food and cake, but was easy to work with, reliable, and all at a competitive price. I definitely found all these things with Canapes! I met with at least 3 other caterers in the MD/VA area, and decided on Canapes due to the taste of the food and because they were the most professional out of all the caterers I met with- others either responded very slowly or were impersonal. I highly recommend finding a caterer that you can trust, since you will be working with them during the entire wedding planning process!

I worked with Adrienne the entire time, and she was amazing! Adrienne was really easy to work with, and is very professional. I felt that I could talk with her about any concerns or questions that I had, and she was able to put me at ease with all the wedding planning. Her response time was great, as she often responded to emails within the same day I sent them.

The day of the wedding, Canapes and Adrienne was great. I felt like I didn't need to worry about how everything would turn out, and trusted they would do a fabulous job, which they did! Everything was beautiful, on schedule, and the food and presentation were wonderful. The cake was also exactly what I envisioned, and tasted great :) I brought loose flowers from the centerpieces, and Adrienne decorated the cake with them which turned out PERFECT. The staff was very friendly and professional. I can't recommend Canapes enough!

For my wedding reception I wanted to do something out of the norm, I wanted a standing reception with passed tapas style food. I checked around and Mike and M.L. were so enthusiastic about my idea that they set to work right away to learn more about the kind of food we wanted served and how we wanted the food served. From the very start we felt so comfortable with them and the closer we got to the wedding the more enthusiastic they became. On the day of the walkthrough Mike was so generous, he informed me that he would be taking care of everything on the day of the wedding so I could sit back and enjoy my wedding day. I have no doubt in my mind that we will use Canapés again, and I cannot wait to work with Mike and M.L. again. I have no doubt in my mind that because of M.L's wonderful food and Mike's organizational skills my wedding went off without any disasters. It was perfect and everything was exactly as I have envisioned. Thank you Canapés, Mike and M.L. and your wonderful, friendly staff for making my wedding perfect!

Mike and Canapes did a wonderful job. Mike was busy with a personal issue, but was still able to respond to my mother's questions quickly. He also did a wonderful job easing any worries we had the week before the wedding. The wait staff were friendly and helpful.
We had Canapes do our cake as well, and it was wonderful. My 4 year old nephew actually ate the cake before the icing, which NEVER happens!

The food was a huge hit! We are still getting compliments about it. The family-style dinner got rave reviews. Our friends said it reminded them of Thanksgiving. The crab cakes in particular were fantastic. Giving our out-of-town guests such an authentic (and delicious) taste of Maryland was a real treat for us.

Beyond the wonderful food, we also appreciate all the help Mike and the rest of the staff gave us in making sure our wedding went so smoothly. Their organization, preparation and hard work was incredible, well above and beyond the call of duty. Whenever we ran into an issue with our venue or the logistics of the wedding, they eased our concerns. By the day of the event, we knew everything was going to be fine because they are so good at what they do. We really appreciated that peace of mind.

We could not have been happier with our wedding and Canapes was a huge part of that. Thanks for doing such a great job.

The Canapes staff were phenomenal -- very responsive to all of our questions and quirks. They had a great sense of humor about everything, and put us (the panicked ones) at ease. People raved about the food, and our carrot cupcakes were delicious!

We learned a week before our wedding day that our original contact at Canapes was no longer with them and that our file had not been looked at since March 09 (6 months before our wedding date). Mike Delphey became our contact at the last minute and he really did an amazing job. You would never have known that he was our last minute replacement. He knew everything that was going on and called to speak with me about our file to make sure that he had everything correct.
The staff at Canapes was amazing. They all looked like they enjoyed working and were very polite and professional while having a great sense of humor and warmth about them. Every person from the servers to the bar staff were great. We received so many wonderful comments from our guests about their service and professionalism. In fact, we're still receiving wonderful feedback from our guests!
I couldn't reccommend Canapes more! I will definitely reccommend them to everyone I know.

We had Canapes come out and do our Rehearsal dinner and Sunday Brunch. Everything was perfect from the waitstaff to the food to the bartender. We had such a great time both nights, and no cleanup! Oh the crepes are the best for brunch!!!

Mike and the entire Canapés team was amazing to work with! The food at our wedding was spectacular --- crab cakes and short ribs! Mike was very responsive and was willing to meet with me or get on the phone with me many times during the planning phase! My wedding days was absolutely perfect and so much of it is thanks to this team! I would highly recommend Canapés!

Canapes recently catered our wedding at Strong Mansion (food and tables/chairs/linens/etc), and they were wonderful! Here's a summary:

Food: the food was fantastic! Everything, from the hors d'oeuvres and dinner to the cake and late night snack, were delicious. We received many compliments on all of the food.

Decor: Everything looked fantastic! They did such a nice job, including lighting votives that my mother had set up around the grounds once the sun went down.

Coordination/support, day-of: All of the staff were friendly and kind. The Canapes team, with Adrienne leading, ensured that everything went well at the event. As a few examples: The items we gave them were put out as we discussed and then packaged carefully at the end for my family to bring home. From my perspective, practically everything was seamless. Something I thought was particularly nice was that after the ceremony, when my husband and I went to a private room for a moment, there was (delicious!) food waiting for us, and the team brought us drinks in seconds. Similarly, they prepared our dinner plates and brought them to our sweetheart table so that we could enjoy the food before making our rounds. We felt so cared for and considered. Adrienne was very helpful throughout the evening, encouraging all the guests to sign our guestbook, guiding guests, and even helping bustle my dress. She also gave us helpful tips on how to pose while cutting the cake so that we'd get nice pictures from it.

Planning beforehand: Mike led the planning process, and he was great. He was usually very responsive and flexible, and gave excellent advice. The only difficulty was the paperwork, which had errors in it (e.g., inconsistent numbers, the wrong plates listed, which led to a bit of a hulabaloo during set up). However, it was all addressed and worked out well.

I'm so glad that we were able to work with Canapes, Mike, and Adrienne. Thank you for making the day so special!!

Adrienne from Canapes is amazing. She was very responsive, flexible, and professional. The food was delicious, both at the tasting and the day of at the wedding venue. The day of staff was also great to work with. I highly recommend using Canapes.

Canapés did a wonderful job with our vegan menu and cake, and they had a beautiful array of table settings to choose from. We opted to have our food served "family style," which was slightly more affordable, and also allowed our guests to be adventurous with the vegan entrées. We're *still* getting compliments on the food three weeks later!

Canapes served excellent food at our wedding. The meals served to our 100 guests were as good as the ones we tried during the private tasting. Mike and Adrienne are a pleasure to work with and took care of everything for us. They know Strong Mansion well and we are so glad that they worked our wedding. The one small thing I would change is to make sure that wine at dinner is served right after the salads are provided and not wait until all of the tables are served their hot meals.
