Camp hideaway was an absolute dream for our wedding! We rented the venue out from Thursday-Sunday, having family and friends around for 3 days was perfect for us! Don’t think twice, Catherine and Anna will make sure that you have a wedding of your dreams!

We cannot think of a better wedding venue than Camp Hideaway. The location, staff, and venue were all perfect. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

The venue is absolutely perfect for an elegant but still very fun indoor/outdoor wedding. The scenery is spectacular. All of my family and guests commented how beautiful the property was and that was before they even went inside the barn! And the staff is so helpful and easy to work with. I had to plan my wedding in less than 6 months and Kelsey made this entire process so much easier for me. My family and I also stayed at the houses on site and had a wedding weekend celebration. Everything was so perfect! I could start crying all over again!

Such a beautiful venue! My husband and I chose Camp Hideaway for our wedding day for multiple reasons. We loved the staff because they were so friendly, nice, and easy to communicate with. We loved the big white and airy venue with large ceilings, large windows everywhere, and of course the indoor outdoor feel that the garage doors brought to the venue. We also loved staying at the beautiful ranch house in the property that offered convenience to us the whole wedding weekend. Camp Hideaway was such a beautiful venue that didn’t need mush decorations because it was perfect just the way that it was and nothing beats a hill country sunset. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone and would love to stay at the ranch house again in the future!

If you are looking to do your wedding or event in Fredericksburg, look no further than Camp Hideaway. You get some of the BEST VIEWS of the hill country, an incredible event space, an owner and manager that genuinely care about you, and the time of your life you will never forget. The day of our wedding was so easy going and from the very beginning of wedding planning to the day of, we knew we were taken care of. I am so thankful for everything Ollie and Kelsey at Camp Hideaway did for my husband and I, and couldn't express enough how choosing Camp Hideaway will be one of the best decisions you could ever make!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue! If you are thinking about booking it - do not hesitate! It was beautiful, clean, spacious, and exceeded any expectations. The bridal/groom's suites were beautiful and so FUN! The photos both in the building and out were full of natural light that made everyone glow! Vicki, the owner, worked with me every step of the way to ensure that my vision came to life and that my wedding ran as smoothly as possible. Communication was superb, as we worked together to make our COVID wedding as safe as possible. I truly do not know how I could've put my special day together without Vicki & Lisa.

I can't say enough good things about Vicki and Sunset Ranch. We were one of the unlucky couples with a CoronaWedding - lovely. But when I say that Vicki and her team did absolutely everything they could for us, I mean it. We had to option to move dates, but decided not to. Vicki kept us informed on all changes and updates made to accommodate a wedding during these times. She listened to our concerns & ideas and made sure we were heard. She answered every single question we had - and I had a lot (I've never planned a wedding before, I needed to make sure I didn't miss something important.) She also provided many suggestions on highly rated vendors in the area - and ultimately we ended up using a lot of those suggestions. She was so kind and helpful which made the whole experience even better.

The venue itself is gorgeous and so well kept. Plenty of space for my bridal party to get ready (7 bridesmaids, me and 2 moms!) and enjoy our day together. The groomsmen loved their room too, and actually spent a good amount of time up there hanging out. Everything was set up exactly how we planned, and Vicki checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The ceremony space was beautiful and set up with plenty of space for everyone to be seated comfortably distanced from each other, without looking empty (we had about 55 people attend). The reception area also had plenty of seating and space for all the tables, serving tables for caterers, a DJ, a dance floor and a cake table. Oh and the bar is so cute! A huge space with endless possibilities for your day. Overall, there is not a thing I would change about it.

We also ended up with rain in the forecast - and Vicki kept us updated on when we had to make the decision on if we needed to move the ceremony indoors. She watched the weather for us, and we ultimately decided to continue with the outdoor ceremony. The rain held off until later in the evening, and when it decided to pour, they had people sweeping the water off of the covered outdoors areas so guests could still enjoy it. Just an awesome crew!

Take a tour and see the wonderful venue - you will not regret it!

My daughter knew this was her venue as soon as she laid eyes on it. BUT, then we met Vicki and it was a done deal. She was so easy to plan with and communicate with through covid and a cancelled, then rescheduled date and went above and beyond with safety parameters for guests. The venue sparkles, the vendors adore working with her and all together, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Exceptional.

This venue was the platform for the best day of our lives. Vicki and her husband were more than accommodating and provided unparalleled support when searching for vendors and planning out the day. Their insight into the property and vision when developing the venue allowed our vendors to have creative freedom in design that accentuated the environment.

Vicki made the effort to address all my concerns and requests promptly by responding almost immediately via email and phone. She was in constant communication with all of our vendors and always made her interactions positive. What an amazing experience to have Sunset Ranch Event Center as the backdrop to such a pivotal moment in our lives. Thank you

We fell in love with this venue when we set foot on the property. The views are absolutely stunning, and the inside is super chic! It's a perfect hill country location with a little glam. The owners were so great and flexible. We felt this was a great value, they don't nickel and dime you over the little things, they let us use their outdoor lights, arbor, wine barrels and some decorations without an extra charge.

I love it when our couples pick Sunset Ranch Event Center for their wedding! Not only is the scenery stunning, but the venue includes everything a wedding party needs for a seamless event including- a beautiful and spacious bridal suite, groom's quarters, a catering kitchen, ample parking, plenty of bathrooms, terrace cocktail area, and a lovely ceremony and reception space. As a wedding planner the behind the scene spaces are equally important when orchestrating the perfect party and Sunset Ranch Event Center doesn't miss a single detail!

This venue is a wedding designer & planners dream! The views, the architecture, and the staff are all incredible! Built with the Hill Country views as the core of the design, this is a perfect spot for a destination wedding. The staff will be there from beginning to end to help answer any questions, give advice, or assist in any way they can to help make your wedding run smoothly. As a planner, I know how important that is and I am grateful that I found this here! Not only is the venue itself stunning, but those who run it are lovely people to be around.

WOW was the first word that came to mind when I first toured Sunset Ranch. This venue is absolutely beautiful inside and out! I initially booked the venue pre-covid for October 2020 and then we ended up postponing to October 2021.

One suggestion I would make for anyone booking their wedding date is to confirm with whomever you are working with, what major events if any, are going on in Fredericksburg that weekend. When we first booked, we were unaware that the weekend we had booked was the food and wine festival which is one of the biggest events of the year. I didn't find this out until I was gathering information for hotel blocks and it ended up being a scramble trying to get the room blocks and then giving our guests a heads up to book their stay early rather than later if they wanted to rent a house for that weekend. In the end, it didn't matter with covid cancelling everything and us having to postpone but want to make people aware of questions to ask!

Our wedding was far more than what I had ever imagined. The weather was amazing so we were able to have all of the garage doors opened during the reception (that was my favorite part) and everyone was able to enjoy themselves between dancing the night away, hanging out by the fire pit, and playing yard games. Hands down, booking this venue was the best decision I could have made! Vicki and her team were very helpful throughout the entire process and I couldn't be happier with my experience!

We absolutely loved Sunset Ranch and wish we could get married there again every weekend! The staff is kind and accommodating and the venue is a dream. So many of our guests commented on how amazing our venue was. It was my fantasy come true - thank you Sunset Ranch!!

We fell in love with camp hideaway the moment we arrived. It a beautiful location with beautiful views. I look at our pictures (Rachel cantu) and it’s all so dreamy! I was also super nice to have a place to stay next door.

Our experience with Camp Hideaway as a wedding venue was deeply disappointing and added stress to what should have been one of the happiest weekends of our lives.
From the very beginning, communication was a struggle. Even the simplest questions went unanswered for long periods of time, and once we paid, getting any response at all felt nearly impossible. We constantly felt like we were bothering them, just for basic information.
Accountability was also nonexistent. Any concerns we brought up were brushed off rather than addressed.
The condition of the accommodations was another major letdown. The cabins and the main house did not feel clean when we arrived, and one of the cabin decks even had a large wasp nest underneath it—something that clearly didn’t appear overnight. It made us question how thoroughly the property is maintained.
We also had an extremely uncomfortable experience with Catherine, whose attitude and interactions added unnecessary tension during our wedding weekend. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend her being in that role at all.
If you still choose this venue, ask every possible question upfront and get everything in writing, because once they have your payment, communication becomes nearly nonexistent.
All in all, we left feeling like we should have just eloped.
