Absolutely amazing experience

Karen is amazing. I really cannot emphasize that enough. She has so much experience, offers advice that is not pushy but very well thought out, and is beyond responsive. There is so much to worry about with a wedding and the current situation with the world, but Karen made the whole experience nearly painless and worry free. The wedding was amazing, everyone was so happy, and I truly cannot do justice to the amount of effort, focus, and support Karen provided to us to get us through our wedding day. There is no doubt that if you want someone you can rely on, who truly embodies the ideals of "experience" and "professional", I cannot recommend Karen enough.

The Team Captain

Karen was great at coming up with a plan for our wedding that flowed and met our vision. We were out of state for the planning of our wedding, but Karen was able to coordinate all the vendors perfectly. On the day of the wedding, Karen's timeline was perfect and she kept us going. The day was fast but thanks to Karen we were able to do everything we wanted. Furthermore, the little things, Karen helped with flowers, gum as needed, pocket squares, making sure the train was just right, our ties were straight. She was more than just a coordinator and I would highly recommend her.

Exceptional!

Karen was absolutely incredible as our wedding day of coordinator. We met up months before the wedding to discuss expectations and key deadlines. She was extremely communicative over email prior to the actual wedding date and she reached out to all vendors to assist in the coordination.

On the day of, she kept everything on track. Most importantly she made sure the wedding party, family, and vendors knew she was in charge but in an extremely friendly and kind manner. I had multiple people reach out to me after the wedding to comment that Karen was excellent. If you are looking for a day of coordinator, I highly highly recommend using her.

She’s your girl!!

Where to begin… In the stressful, chaotic, and confusing world that is planning a wedding, Karen brought us such relief. From the moment we booked her until the very end of our wedding night, she has been a savior. She guided us throughout the entire process—ensuring we were on track in booking and organizing vendors, visiting the venue multiple times to discuss timeline and details, ensuring every picture frame, candle, sign, etc was properly set up according to my requests, and keeping the flow of events at our wedding smooth and on time. Not to mention she answered every email or text along the way with such kindness, efficiency, and knowledge. She’s amazing at what she does, and to be quite honest could charge a lot more for her services! After doing alottt of research and reaching out to many many coordinators, I chose Karen based off of value & reviews, and I am so happy to be able to now recommend her to any brides/grooms beginning their wedding planning journey. Karen is the real mvp!

The moment I met Karen at our venue walkthrough, I knew I made the right decision. Hiring Karen was the most MVP move I could have done for our wedding and it was MONEY SO WELL SPENT! Karen is the SWEETEST woman and exactly the kind of person you want by your side on a stressful wedding day. Her calm and caring demeanor made me (the bride) feel reassured that everything was being taken care of so I could enjoy my day. Every random thing I thought to bring up – like remembering to have my wedding party sign the guestbook since they missed cocktail hour for photos – Karen was already on top of it! My card box? Her assistant was already keeping an eye on it and the cards brought in to me during dinner for safekeeping. Both sets of parents had nothing but great things to say about her in all of their interactions. She kept us on schedule and was a true professional, from the month-of planning to the big day. Brides, if you're reading this and considering whether you even need a day-of/month-of coordinator, THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO HIRE KAREN!!

Absolutely amazing experience

My husband and I got married in early November and Karen was our day-of coordinator. To say that she made our wedding a breeze is an understatement! She was incredibly helpful in answering questions leading up to our big day, and she was invaluable day-of. We both felt like we didn't have a single thing to worry about other than enjoying ourselves, and even our families told us they enjoyed interacting with her and felt like she went above and beyond to make the day memorable for all of us. Most importantly, she knew the answers to questions I didn't even know to ask. My husband and I (and our families) would highly recommend Karen to anyone who wants a beautiful, stress-free, smoothly run wedding!

Karen made sure that my reception went smoothly and did a fantastic job at it. Working with her really took the stress off of me and i knew that i was in good hands. She made sure everything looked perfect at the reception and even met with me a few times before to get to know each other and walk through the venue. She really went above and beyond! With all the chaos in 2020 we had to change our wedding venue 28 days prior to wedding date. We would have never been able to manage everything without Ali and Karen. They were wonderful and helped with every little detail that we may have overlooked. Even down to me forgetting my flower girls basket and Ali shopping for one hours before the wedding! They were perfect!

Day of Wedding Coordinator

It was awesome working with Karen. I hired her for day of coordination. She was always prompt to appointments and made sure everything was in order the day of my wedding. She contacted the vendors the month of my wedding and made sure they knew when and where to set up at the venue. The day of my wedding went smoothly despite a lot of changes during the week. Perfection & Grace

Karen was the best coordinator a bride and groom could ask for. I swear I felt like I may had been all over the place when it came to discussing the timeline and other details. I'm not even sure if I had given her enough to work with. But, Karen understood me regardless! She knew my style, my vibe, everything! She made me feel absolutely calm throughout the entire process -- from beginning to the end.

When I first met her, I felt like I connected with her very well! She was so easy to talk to and incredibly flexible. She was also quick to respond to any questions I had.

I felt at ease during my wedding because I knew I can trust her. Her help with the wedding made everything go so smoothly and to be honest, the day was nothing but perfect. My husband and I would recommend her to everyone and anyone! She will truly make your wedding day the one special day to remember for the rest of your lives.

Love these girls

Originally, I wanted to book Karen as my day-of wedding coordinator but she ended up being booked before I gave my deposit. No problem, though, her assistant Ali was available for my day. I was initially a little weirded out that I did not really talk to Ali for any pre-wedding communication other than meeting her once (but they were both super nice when we met so it was helpful). All communication was filtered through Karen, but I trusted that they were communicating and had a plan and WOW everything turned out perfectly! Ali was amazing on the day of, she kept everything running smoothly and we never had to think about anything on the timeline. It was super affordable for all of the pre-wedding support I received and for everything they handled on the day of! Thank you both!! Our wedding was perfect and we couldn't have done it without you

Life Saver!

Oh my, to say Karen saved the day would be an understatement. When I first found out my venue required a coordinator, I was so confused as to why. I thought what would I possibly need help with? I can do it on my own. Boy was I wrong and glad I went with Karen. It started with texts back and forth and then meeting at Starbucks. Her personality is so calm and she makes you feel like even if you say something silly or have a silly sounding request, she makes you feel heard. Fast forward, she came to our wedding rehearsal, she gathered all of our decor and told me that she would hold onto it. I didn't know what to expect, I was nervous because I wasn't sure how or where I wanted things placed, but she insured trust and I was excited to see how it would look. On the wedding day I was a ball of nerves and anxiousness. I had an incident where guests walked into my bridal suite and I got quite flustered, she handled it so professionally and made sure no one else was trying to get a peak. She orchestrated our line up beautifully. She displayed my decorations in a way that was so perfect that I couldn't have thought of it myself. She just ran the whole show and took off any amount of stress I could have had. She is a true super hero, and I am so glad she was apart of my special day. She is such a sweet soul and really takes pride in her job. I am so thankful to have found her. I would definitely recommend her. She is wonderful and I cannot think of anything I would change about my most special day which would not have been as perfect if it weren't for Karen. Thank you Karen from the bottom of our hearts!

Rain forecast forced our outdoor ceremony inside, Karen took care of everything

Karen was wonderful. It rained the day of the wedding and she worked with the venue to make sure our once outdoor ceremony was still perfect in the indoor environment. We made the decisions to move it indoors a few days before and after sorting out a few details we didn't have to think about it anymore. Karen worked with the venue to create a memorable day with the last minute changes.

Highest recommendations for Karen & California Dreamin'!

Karen was recommended to us by our wedding venue and we worked with her for day-of coordination. We had nothing but a positive experience. I only wish we had engaged her for pre-wedding coordination as well! Karen has flexible packages and pricing, was understanding and accommodating with meetings and scheduling, and she was a lifesaver on the day of the wedding. There is always a little something that goes wrong here and there - Karen handled everything with professionalism, grace, and efficiency. We had no idea there were even hiccups! She was an invaluable asset and took all the pressure and stress off of us (the bride and groom) on the wedding day. Karen is talented, creative, and very experienced. Karen is perfect!!!

I have nothing but praise to say about California Dreamin'. I was fortunate to find Karen and she jumped right in to help me. She met up with me at our reception location, drew a map of our venue, wrote down where we wanted everything to go. Karen kept in contact with me throughout the months leading up to my wedding day and reached out to all my vendors. She offered amazing advice and opinions when I was feeling indecisive and overwhelmed. She reminded me of things I didn't think I would need, but did. There were moments where things were not going according to plan and Karen did not hesitate to revert to a back up plan and execute it so smoothly. In Karen we trusted - and it was GREAT!

My biggest regret about wedding planning is not bring Karen and California Dreamin' Weddings into the process sooner. We hired Karen as our DOC but she also offers full and partial planning services, which would have been great to utilize. Karen was super communicative, supportive, and understanding of our wants and needs for our special day. She was such a calming presence during the lead up to the wedding and during the big day, and she allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our own wedding. She was able to handle communications with vendors with ease and transparency, and at no point did I have to worry about something not being executed properly - Karen excels at what she does. We don't plan on getting married again, but if we do - we know who we'll call first! Thank you Karen!

Fantastic Experience with Karen

My husband and I got married at the Newport Beach Country Club in mid-October and had hired Karen Kupke as our day-of coordinator. Without a doubt, hiring Karen was the smartest vendor we booked in planning our wedding. Karen was gracious to our guests, invaluable in planning and scheduling, flexible to our wants & needs, and quickly adapted to accommodate vendor preferences on the day of. She ran the rehearsal and wedding seamlessly, brought expertise when we had many, many questions and calmed our nerves at every turn. She even jumped into action to help us troubleshoot when, on the day of the rehearsal, our hotel lost our escort cards and guest book. Without question, I'd recommend Karen to anyone who will listen. Jenny and Ryan Wedding

Karen was our day-of coordinator and was absolutely a Godsend!! Karen was incredible with ensuring everything went smooth and perfect - and it was perfect! She had all of our vendors exactly where they needed to be and when. Karen was kinda like when Bugs Bunny plays baseball and Bugs Bunny is playing all of the positions and winning the game!

In addition to Karen rocking the organization and set up of both the ceremony and the reception, one of the other best things working with Karen is her cheerful and caring attitude and personality! She not only made this beautiful day happen for us but she also took so much of the pressure off of us and ensuring we had the best time possible.

She was always responsive and went above and beyond to make extra meetings, calls, and time to ensure that everything was in place the day of the wedding. She also incorporated a couple surprise elements to the wedding which, in hindsight, were some of the best highlights for me!! For example, we weren’t expecting it, but when we did our first entrance she had instructed everyone to throw and shower us with rose pedals. It was so much fun and so gorgeous and I can’t explain how much joy that little touch brought to both me and my husband. I would recommend Karen to anyone looking for a coordinator. She will not let you down and she will be the greatest joy to work with. She is the best!!!

where to begin! Karen was the best most patient life support you could ask for. The day was so smooth and perfect because of her. I live out of state and my parents did most of the vendor searchs and initial planning. Karen was there when we needed her and my life savor during the 2 weeks leading up to it. Karen was our day-of coordinator for our reception at Casa Romantica, and we very much enjoyed working with her. She clearly has a lot of experience with wedding coordination, including weddings at Casa Romantica, and was calm and on top of things during our wedding day. I knew I wanted Karen as our day of coordinator from our first meet-up. She is very approachable, friendly, and organized. Karen worked diligently on all of her tasks and responsibilities before our wedding and on our wedding day. Karen is ABSOLUTELY amazing! We hired Karen (California Dreamin’ Weddings and Events) for our “day of” wedding coordinator, and there is no way to fully express how wonderful she is. I will forever be grateful that Karen was part of my wedding. She is a great coordinator and she will take good care of your family, guests, bridal party, groom, and especially the bride! She made sure everything ran smoothly and perfect. She was always there in the background to make sure I was calm and well taken care of. Simply said, Karen is by far the best! If you’re on the fence about whether to hire a coordinator or not, debate no more. Hiring Karen was honestly one of the most important things I spent money on for my wedding. After all the planning and effort you put into your wedding, you need someone on the day of your wedding to make sure every detail goes smoothly. And that's exactly what Karen did for me. Karen was so organized, very attentive, sweet, and executed everything to perfection with a smile on her face. My wedding day went so smoothly without causing me any stress and I know that's because Karen handled whatever chaos may have happened behind the scenes. She also handled all the coordination with my vendors so everyone knew where to be and when and the timelines for the day.

The day after my wedding, my entire family raved about the amazing job Karen did. She stayed with my family after the wedding ended and had all my personal items packed for them. She was happy to help with anything that was asked of her. I can't imagine what my wedding day would have been like without Karen. She truly put me at ease and was beyond wonderful to work with. The only con I have is that I won't be seeing her after the wedding. She truly will be missed but I will be recommending her to all my friends.

Karen is amazing!
Words can't adequately express my appreciation of this wonderful lady. She did so much to make the event a success and to relieve the stress related to hosting a wedding.
We hired Karen to be our "coordinator for the day" for our daughter's wedding. Even though the wedding was small (about 60 guests) and in our home, we wanted someone to help so that we could be guests ourselves and enjoy the wedding.
I did quite a bit of research before choosing and I'm so glad that we chose Karen. She has an infectious smile that puts you at ease immediately. She is also extremely professional and knowledgeable. She asked a lot of questions so that she would have a better idea of what we were envisioning. She had great practical ideas that helped with the flow of the event. We felt like we were in really good hands.
When Karen arrived on the day of the wedding, she absolutely blew me away! I gave her a quick tour of everything that was happening and she just took it from there. It was like she was family and had been there a million times. She stayed two steps ahead all night and really made the evening stress free.
She has a very unique quality in that she can take charge and provide direction in the nicest most nonabrasive way.
When she lets guests know that it's time to move out to the patio for cocktails, or that we're ready for a toast, grand entrance, cake cutting etc. everyone listens and no one feels like they are being "bossed around".
When guests left she did so much to help wrap things up that I actually had to tell her to stop.
She pays attention to the smallest details and she really listens.
I know Karen has done hundreds of events from large and elaborate to small and intimate. No matter what kind of event your planning, Karen will make it better and she will make your life easier!
Thank you Karen for allowing us to relax and truly enjoy Maegan and Danny's wedding!

Simply look nowhere else! Karen is your person!!!. Her professionalism cannot be challenged! She was available, kind, understanding and I had so much confidence in her that I simply 'forgot' about things that had to happen on the day as she was in total control. Before the wedding we met on numerous occasions and her ideas and knowledge helped build that confidence that is so needed on such a busy day. The wedding went perfectly. We had our wedding on Electra Cruise, and Karen was are on the day of wedding coordinator. We first met with her a day prior to the wedding for the rehearsal. I knew instantly that we were in good hands! Karen walked us through the ceremony and answered all of our questions. On the day of the wedding, Karen was really attentive and kept us on schedule. For the reception, I did not ask for a vegetarian meal, but only mentioned that I did not want any meat delivered on my plate. Karen took it on her own initiative, and had the kitchen make me a vegetarian meal! Also, whenever there was a moment that looked like we were lost (ie what to do at cake cutting) Karen was always on the standby to guide us. We're so glad that we had Karen as our on the day of wedding coordinator!

Prior to our wedding we were in touch via email and she was very helpful and responsive. She had great ideas and suggestions. She answered all of my questions and took away a lot of my stress. During the wedding she made everything go smoothly and really took care of us.

Karen is the nicest person to work with. Before I met her I though I had to do a lot of ship decoration set up myself since we did not hire a florist because it was a Pirate themed 25th Anniversary. She made me fee so comfortable and worry free. Karen took care of everything. I couldn't thank Karen enough to make everything go by so smoothly and allow me to enjoy my wedding without keep track of time. She was our coordinator for our wedding this past weekend, Oct 4, 2015.

She was with us at rehearsal walking us through the events and even offer to help decorate on my wedding day. You know, florists only do their flowers for your, they don't decorate any of your own DIYs or wedding favors, or guest sign in table, toasting glasses, etc (which I have alot of). But Karen simply tells me, she will do them all for me, I don't have to send my bridesmaid to help. How amazing is that! That takes off alot of stress out of me, the bride. I don't have to tell my bridesmaids what and how they need to decorate ahead of time or on the day of. It frees all of our time, which turns out is very important as things on wedding day always run late, you need as much free time as you can get.

Another thing Karen was great was that, she handle situations so well. I forgot my veil at home because we were rushing out of the house, and I'm not the only bride that forget to bring things. It wasn't possible to send someone back to grab it so I thought I would have to just walk down without a veil which is not how I want my dream wedding to be. Within 5 minutes after I realize I was missing a veil and trying to get my dress on, Karen brings me a beautiful fabric with beads to substitute my missing veil. Wow, i have no idea where she found the fabric, but it worked great. No one notice it wasn't a veil or that I forgot my veil, I only hear guests compliments. The wedding went by smoothly, no one in the wedding party have to keep track of timeline of events or where they need to be because Karen got it all. It was simply stress free, but that's all because of Karen. She's a great, and we are truly lucky to have her as our coordinator.

Karen is sweet, calm, and easy to communicate with. She was the event coordinator for our wedding on August 9, 2015. We really enjoyed her and she made our day extra special! I highly recommend her for any event. She is professional, kind, and won't let you down. Thanks Karen!

Karen was such a huge part of making our wedding one for us and our guest to remember for years to come. Karen did an amazing job of being my day of wedding coordinator. She is a natural. Even my guests commented on how great she was! I never had to look for her- she was right there when I needed her! My husband and I just got married on Saturday, Jume 6th, 2015 and Karen was spectacular! Karen, was the coordinator for our wedding and she did an amazing job, Not only did she keep us on schedule but she did it in a manner where we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. She was exactly what you would want the coordinator to be on your wedding day! Any questions she had the answers for, any last minute help you needed she was able to provide it, also she had a great sense of who needed to be where and made sure that happened so you don't have to worry about it.

How can I thank you for the absolutely fantastic job you did at our wedding on April 4, 6-10. You are simply the best!!! Words are simply not enough. It was everything I desired it to be and more. The Jamaica team will be hard pressed to live up to my expectations now that I have had you.

You allayed all my fears and anxieties with your sweet calm personality and kind reassuring words. You promised everything would be ok and they were. I forgot I was supposed to be tense and flustered. Or is that a myth about bridees? I think it is because of people like you.

Your professionalism surpassed all I could have imagined, having not met you before. Allison reassured me I would have the best by having you as coordinator.

You reassured me when I was unsure and you took care of everything from the smallest rose petal down to the expert packaging of the things I brought home. Everything was safely and professionally organized and ready to go right on time.

Lloyd is out of the country so on behalf of both of us, friends and family I am delighted to let you know how profoundly grateful we are and how appreciative we feel for the wonderful job you did to ensure our wedding proceedings went on time and in an orderly manner. Our guests were pleasantly surprised and pleased about how everything went smoothly.

Karen is a natural when it comes to coordinating events! For my wedding day she made sure the entire bridal party knew exactly what to do, she talked me through every step of the way and made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and more. I have to say it is not that easy to plan and host my wedding, because my guests are from different cultures. My husband's family is from China, my family is Chinese and Russian mixed and I also have some Los Angeles local friends. However, Karen did a great job on my wedding, especially as a multicultural wedding. She made the whole wedding fluently and happy. I will definitely recommend her to my other friends.

Very sweet relaxed day-of coordinator assigned for our wedding reception. Worked well with my family to provide a few little important details that we totally forgot to bring (card box and table numbers). She was behind the scenes working with my MC to make sure things ran smoothly. Had time to bring me dinner and refill my cocktail. I wish we could have met her days before the event but our venue package only allowed us to meet 2 hours before hand which was ok. In return, Karen added just that little suttle extra helping hand to produce a quality unforgettable reception and me and my husband really appreciated it! Thank you Karen. I hope you had fun too ?

Karen was the onsite coordinator for my daughter's wedding. I had specific requests to be carried out during the evening and Karen made sure they were all done. She managed the staff and stayed on top of everything which ensured the entire evening, from the ceremony to the reception, ran smoothly. Whenever I looked for her with a question or another request, she was easily found. In short, Karen was AWESOME to work with. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her services again.

Karen was absolutely awesome!!! She was very relaxed, happy, and approachable.

I had to make changes to the wedding ceremony and guest list the night before the wedding and she took care of it all. I forgot batteries for some candles and she provided candles of her own to make sure the tables look beautiful.

Thank you Karen for making my day stress free and for making sure my wine glass and plate was always full :) My wedding was perfect thanks to you!!

Karen was an Angel. Anything we might have been concerned about, she was right there to assure us that all was being taken care of. She was always one step ahead of us! We heard nothing but good comments about the staff, food, and service. We were so thankful that we had contacted Electra Cruises as a possible way to celebrate our 50th.
