Phenomenal

Cakes Plus has the best tasting cake I have ever tasted. Especially their lemon flavor. Their cupcakes are amazing. However, we went with a traditional three tier cake, and the team followed our directions down to the "T". I would say keep your cake refrigerated all of the way up until you are ready to slice into it or keep in a cool area. in September ours melted because someone dropped the ball in our wedding party, but it's alright. Cakes Plus I look forward to using you in years to come, and enjoying your desserts in between!

Cakes plus has the best cakes!

Cakes Plus did our wedding cake and cupcakes and they were perfect! The cake was beautiful. We received numerous compliments on how delicious it was! Highly recommend using them for your wedding cakes and cupcakes!

Delectable, delightful, delicious!

Cakes Plus in Laurel has the best cakes ever, hands down!!! The owner Alexis spent as much time as needed and more to assure the Bride and Groom had the most perfectly decorated cake. She travels very long distances to make sure she can accommodate her customers. Her cakes are melt in your mouth delicious!

Tasty and Affordable

Cakes Plus is delicious! The tasting was simple and easy. They can do so many different colors for the icing. Our cake was beautiful, and everything was very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Beautiful & delicious cake!

We were so lucky to have found Cakes Plus who were recommended by our wedding venue! Their staff member Hannah was particularly helpful when I went in to do a cake tasting and place my order. I had an idea of what I wanted my cake to be like, but she really helped me to flesh that idea out and communicate it to the baker. I actually went back in a week before our wedding to order an additional anniversary cake as a surprise for my parents at the wedding, and Hannah was able to get it all set up for me.

When I saw the final product the morning of our wedding I was SO pleased. The cake was just beautiful, it was exactly as I had imagined-- simple, yet so special and effective! And my parents' anniversary cake nicely complemented it. Also, their cakes are delicious! I love love loved their lemon cake, and am looking forward to having some on our first anniversary next year (for which they bake you a fresh cake)!

Excellent customer service and delicious cakes

Cakes Plus was our first choice for our wedding cake. We met them at a wedding show and knew after that first tasting that our guests would love their product. We sat with the owner and she helped us design and order our cake. Although Cakes Plus has a cost minimum for delivery, because our venue was so close to their Laurel store and the time of our event was late evening they delivered the cake for us! Outstanding service and our wedding cake was beautiful and just as delicious!

We ordered our cake and cupcakes from Cakes Plus and were very pleased with the quality of service, the look of the treats, and the taste!! We were also able to handle everything remotely since we didn't live in the area, and they were very responsive via phone and email. I highly recommend them!

Our wedding cake was a 3-tiered square cake with different flavors on each layer. It was so amazing that people told me they asked for seconds. We were so excited to see/taste it and I am anxiously awaiting our one year anniversary just to taste it again! Everything from the tasting to the customer service, decoration, delivery and taste was absolutely amazing!!!

We highly recommend Cakes Plus! They have wedding cake tastings every Saturday. We tasted chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, marble, lemon, and spice. The store has multiple binders filled with wedding cake ideas. Linda was very helpful in selecting our cake. We picked up our cake on the morning of the wedding (they don't deliver 2-tier cakes). The cake was beautiful and just like we requested! And most importantly, the cake was delicious (I had two slices during our wedding)! The cost was also affordable. We were very impressed!

Our wedding cake from Cake's Plus was not only gorgeous it tasted amazing as well! My guests couldn't rave enough about it so I would totally recommend using them as a wedding cake vendor. Cake's Plus holds a walk-in tasting on Saturday mornings so no appointments are necessary. Also if you attend one of the bridal shows where they are vendors, you will receive a 10% coupon for a discount off the wedding cake.

Cakes Plus did my three tier wedding cake on October 2, 2015!

We had a couple of consultations with them and each time they let us taste something! The staff and wedding consultants were so friendly and knew exactly what they were talking about! I gave them a picture of exactly what I wanted (Very complexed) Deep quilting with bling and purple ribbon. THEY HIT IT SPOT ON! I couldn't believe on our wedding day I was looking at exactly what I envisioned it to be! We received soo many compliments on the cake and wanted to know who did it. I told them "Cakes Plus!" thank you to Cakes Plus for making my beautiful cake! We were soo impressed with your art work!

Cakes Plus provided the cupcakes for my October wedding. The cupcakes were moist and flavorful. We had two different fillings with two different cake flavors. Every staff person was friendly and the cupcakes looked exactly as I envisioned them. I highly recommend using them!

As usual, cakes plus delivered a fantastic product. We had a 3 tier cake with different flavor for each tier, and then a 1/4 sheet cake on the side of the spice cake. It was fantastic for the Fall wedding!

We went for free cake tasting & tried all sorts of flavors, which were all very good. We chose a lemon, with raspberry filling & buttercream frosting. We showed them a photo of a cake we liked & they matched our cake to the photo perfectly! They even went to Pennsylvania in search of a 30" tree slice to sit the cake on! Their service was always friendly and professional throughout the whole process. They arrived at the wedding venue on time and set the cake up for us. We did not have to worry about one thing when dealing with Cakes Plus. The cake was wonderful & everyone raved about what a great job they did!

My husband and I chose a 3-tiered cake with 3 different flavors and fillings. We were given their professional opinion on the top tier. To freeze or not to freeze? We chose not to freeze and add have a filling on the top tier. Many places wouldn't have given us the proper advice on the top tier and freezing. Their advice; If you are choosing to freeze the top tier make it all cake. No filling.

We gave them two photos of what we would like to be on our cake. One of the photos was our emblem. Which was perfectly achieved. Our guest are still raving about the cake, some are even a little upset that they were not able to try the other flavors. LOL.

Out of all the vendors at the bridal show last year, Cakes Plus had the BEST cake- hands down. The icing wasn't too sugary and it complimented their cake- which was not dry! They were extremely helpful in helping us create the design/cake we wanted. They did a great job and we couldn't have been more pleased. They arrived on time and set up went flawlessly. Plus, they deliver!

Cakes Plus was amazing! We tried several bakeries and yes, some were really good, but way too expensive. Cakes Plus provided not only a better value than all but a very good cake. We selected the lemon, red velet and the orignal flavors and they were all very moist and delicious. (Lemon was and is still my personal favorite.)

I will use them again for any event needing a cake or cupcakes.

We were not looking for a tiered cake for our wedding, although Cakes Plus certainly does that. The main thing that we wanted was a moist cake that people would enjoy. We were able to sample the different flavors of cake that they offer and decided to go with marble. It was really moist with nice vanilla and chocolate flavors. We ordered a round cake to cut at the reception and a large sheet cake to serve the guests. They were able to sculpt the buttercream frosting to make it look like white hydrangea flowers covered both cakes. They were beautiful, and we received many compliments on the taste. The price for both cakes was also very reasonable. I am very happy we used Cakes Plus.

Cakes Plus was in with the package we got from puttin on the ritz. They were wonderful had to change cake 3 times and it was no problem at all. They even hooked me up for wedding favor sugar cookie that turned out beautiful as wedding favors. Defiantly recommed for wedding cakes.

We heard wonderful things about this bakery and know a lot of people that have used them. They have great reviews so we decided to make an apt and go check them out. We met with Alexis (owner) and she was so nice! She was really great to work with. We showed her pictures of cakes we liked and she let us taste all the different flavors and fillings. She made some great recommendations and we felt really comfortable having them make the cake. The cake turned out gorgeous!! It was amazing and we got so many compliments!! It was even prettier than the pictures we gave them! It was baked that morning and Mike (owner) personally delivered it and decorated it on site at our venue. It was so fresh, and tasty and GORGEOUS! We are thrilled with Cakes Plus! PS we also had them make all the cupcakes for our brunch the next day and YUMMM the chocolate cupcakes are to die for – people were fighting over the extras to take home!

Cakes Plus made a small, two-layer cake with light blue icing decorated with white chocolate shells for my beach-themed wedding. It was gorgeous! They also made 100 cupcakes of different flavors for me decorated with "dazzle dust." Everything was so yummy, and I loved the buttercream icing. Can't wait to eat the top layer for our anniversary in September! You should also stop in and try their cupcake of the month :)

We found Cake's Plus through our event venue and caterer, Putting' on the Ritz. The cake was part of a package deal. The cake was lovely and delicious, and we really felt that Cakes' Plus went above and beyond to make it truly beautiful. They were also very prompt and personable.

When it came time to pick our wedding cake we already knew that we would be using Cakes Plus. We have used them for the last 5 years for birthdays and events, Our personal favorite is the yellow cake and chocolate fudge frosting. We decided on 5 cakes for our wedding, and let them come up with the flavor combinations. We took in some pictures for the designs for the cake. They turned out perfectly!!! the colors came out exactly as promised and the designs were flawless. One of the cakes was our favorite that we saved for later, it ended up being our dessert after the wedding and breakfast in the morning before checking out of our hotel! We received so many compliments on the delicious cakes!!!
The staff are very professional, courteous, responsive and friendly. They verified everything for our order and delivered on time.

The best wedding cake that I have ever had. My guests raved about it as well. So hard to find cake that is so moist.

I will definitely be going back next year for our anniversary to have the top tier recreated. I couldn't get enough of that yummy icing. NO FONDANT!!! all white icing and it was amazing.

One of the most important things when ordering a wedding cake, not only should it be beautiful but delicious also, they accomplished BOTH, it was beautiful and sooooo delicious, there were so many compliments. My daughter was so excited when she saw her cake..it was perfect. My daughter ordered the Spice and Yellow and the topper is Red Velvet. The staff is super friendly and efficient. I cannot say enough. Great job and thank you!!!

I can’t say enough about how much I loved my wedding cake. I went for a tasting and selected vanilla cake with raspberry and apple filling. I know apple filling? I know it’s hard to imagine but it was the best tasting cake ever. I brought a photograph of the cake I envisioned and it was an exact replica. Everyone spoke about how beautiful the cake was and more importantly everyone LOVED how it tasted.

I order a a heart shape top tier and 200 cupcakes. The flavors were lemon, chocolate and vanilla. These were the best cupcakes ever. They were moist and flavorful. They were delivered ahead of schedule because they anticipated the traffic. At the end of the night there were only few cupcakes left. I've had several my guest contact me for this vendor's information.

I will be getting our birthday and anniversary cake from them.

This is my husbands favorite cupcake place. Of course he was very excited that we went with them to make our cake. We were nervous about the cost because their cupcakes are delicious but so glad we checked them out anyway. Prices were not bad at all. On Saturdays, you have the option to go in the store and taste the different variations of cakes that you can get. They worked with us on what look we wanted and also advised us on how much cake to get based on the number of people. Again, wonderful to work with and also a pleasure! They even accommodated us when my cake topper came in later than I wanted. You do need to supply the ribbon if you want that on your cake but that helps them match the colors so it worked out well!! We will absolutely continue to get cupcakes from here!!!

Cakes Plus crated a lovely 3-tier 'Topsy Turvy' cake for our wedding. Based on our rough sketch, they created a fantastic cake that the guests devoured! The cake was delivered on time and in perfect condition. I plan to frame a photo of the cake in our home, it was that good.

Very yummy cake. The cake tasting was very helpful and they staff is very flexible with anything you need. All I did was give them a photo of a cake design I really liked and they copied it exactly. They did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake!! I literally took 3 different pictures of 3 different cakes to them and told them my crazy idea of mixing and matching certain portions of each cake to make my dream cake. I have been buying from Cakes Plus for 12 years. When I got engaged this was the first thing I payed off! My cake was exactly the way I envisioned it! I was soo happy with the results. Because my wedding was on a SUnday I had to pick up my cake the day before. A friend picked it up for me and wasn't aware that I also purchased cupcakes. So the owner personally drove over to my hotel and delivered the cupcakes to me! I lived over 35miles away! They will always have a valued customer!!

The design of the cake was exactly as in the photo we sent them. They were amazing. The owner of Cakes Plus is an absolute sweetheart...it was a delight working with her. When we went in for the tasting she has us leave with cakes to take with us!

She was super flexible and understood my love for glitter. She tastefully covered my cake in a lovely iridescent sparkle and gorgeous, vibrant flowers. She was able to interpret my vision so clearly it was as it she was in my head.

I will go back there, not only to give her a big hug, but to buy edible glitter and more goodies.
The cake was gorgeous and very reasonable!!!!

Not only did Cakes Plus design my cake exactly like the picture I created, the cake was delicious. Those two elements were extremely important to us and we knew exactly who we could trust to deliver those qualities. I even had an extra slice later during the reception. How many brides actually do that? I can't wait until it's time to eat our anniversary layer, a year can't come soon enough. Cakes Plus cakes are simply the best. Your all events cake go to place. I am getting ready to order my grandmother's 75th birthday cake from there. We are customers for life.

I did not have an appointment scheduled when I went in for a testing, but the ladies at the store worked with me by allowing me to take cupcakes back for myself and my fiance to sample. The price for our 3 tier cake was very reasonable.The flavor and quality of the cake was delicious. They were able to incorporate all of the design elements that I asked for as well. Our cake was included in our package with the hotel. But when we found out it was cake's plus we were soooooo excited! They were sooooo nice with the cake tasting....gave us so many options....then when our numbers increased they made sure that we were satisfied with the options for having enough cake for all the guest! Our guest took PLATES of cake home. We had to fight to get a piece of our cake at our own wedding. It was delivered on time and everything was great!

Cakes Plus was amazing. I went to order my two-tiered wedding cake on Valentine's Day which was ridiculous on my part because they were BUSY on that day! However the lady took my order after i looked through their books which was extentive and thorough. I picked a round wedding cake however i wanted a square version which i didn't know how it was going to work out however i was hopeful. I had already tasted their cupcakes which was delicious. Needless to say the day of the wedding when i saw the cake, i was so happy. The cake was beautifully decorated and when we cut into it, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! The cake was decorated so well. They placed my ribbons around the cake and it matched my colours so well. And they placed yellow roses on the cake which was fantastic! I would definitely use Cakes Plus Inc. again!

Cakes Plus provided the cake for my October 2010 wedding. At the outset, we had an agreement through our venue for a wedding cake from Charm City Cakes. However, when we went for our design appointment and tasting, it was so disappointing. The people were very unfriendly and not very helpful. Then we tasted the cake, and it was terrible. We hated it and decided at that moment that we would not serve that cake to our guests. Luckily we found Cakes Plus in Laurel to make our cake. I had found a picture online of a fall wedding cake that I loved. It had a lot of detailed decorations and was beautiful. Then we tasted the sample cake, and it was moist and delicious. They made the cake exactly as we had asked. It was even more beautiful than the picture I had given them. I got so many compliments on the cake. It was wonderful!

Great place - very reasonably priced. I saved a lot by picking up my cake myself the day before my wedding (got married on a Sunday in VA - the delivery fee would have been hefty) and the cake was very safely packed and came with instructions to easily set it up and pack up the top layer when finished. When I placed the order for the cake, I mentioned that I hadn't been able to try my exact combination and the saleswoman sent me home with cupcakes, filling, and icing so that my fiance and I could sample our wedding cake. It tasted and looked great.

My family has been getting cakes here for MANY years. They were so easy to work with even though we ordered the cake about a month and a half ahead of time. They even delivered the cake for free since they were so close to our venue. we got their red velvet cake and it was delicious. Many guests commented how good the icing was!

Cakes Plus is actually contracted through our caterer so we didn't have to pay them directly. However, the cake was wonderful and the staff was great when it came to making our selections and any last minute changes to included the color and cake topper.

Cakes plus has the best cake ever. The price is GREAT, I know because I shopped around. They were able to make my wedding cake and grooms cake look exactly like the picture I showed them using buttercream icing. Which was very difficult because of the intricate designs we choose. They made buttercream look like fondant icing. The cake was so moist. Both cakes stayed moist for 2 weeks after the wedding. Everyone loved the cake and went back for several slices.

This is an absolutely amazing place to get your wedding cake. you will not be disappointed at all. every time i go by there, even now, i have to run in for atleast a cupcake. we did not have a large cake at all. we had a cake just for my husband and i. our guests had other treats to eat.

I used Cakes Plus in Laurel Maryland to do wedding cupcakes for my wedding and the flavors were delicious.Cakes Plus has a variety of flavors all are very very tasty and the price is really reasonable.The cup ckaes were the hit of the dessert selection.I will use the for all my dessert needs .

Cakes Plus is the ONLY place I EVER get cakes of any kind! They did a perfect job on my cake. It was ordered easily, delivered on time and I even changed practically everything the day before the wedding and it came out better than I had expected!!! As always a superb experience!!!

We loved our cake. Working with the people at Cake Plus was wonderful, from the tasting, to the design. When I saw my cake at the reception I was blown away. I would defintely use Cake Plus for another event and recommend them to friends.

The cake was amazing and so very beautiful! They matched my colors spot on and I loved it!! The cake was delivered on time and set up beautifully. It tasted great. I use Cakes Plus for all of my birthdays and special gatherings for the family.

We did cupcakes for our guests with a small cake to cut....if you have ever had a Cakes Plus cake....there is no explanation needed....they are just amazing....

If you haven't had one of there cakes....order one or stop in for a cupcake...we have made up holidays and reasons to have a cake!!!!

Every family/friend event is a Cakes Plus event for us....

Cakes Plus did an excellent job in providing many options for the design of my wedding cake. They were professional and easy to talk with to work out a plan and color scheme for my cake. Besides being absolutely delicious, the cake was just as I had described that I wanted and was delivered on time. I would recommend Cakes Plus 100%.

My family has used Cakes Plus for birthdays and special occasions since my sixteenth birthday when they were the only ones in a close proximity to my home that would put the )Snow White's) Seven Dwarfs on a birthday cake. That was thirteen years ago and my family has continued to use them whenever we needed a cake for a special occassion. So, when I got engaged, it was my first thought to use Cakes Plus. As I began my planning I knew exactly what I wanted done on the cake- it was an intriquitly detailed celtic knot that I knew Cakes Plus could pull off and that they did! The cake was beautiful and perfectly matched the design I had given them. Above the look of the cake and all of the special designs we have thrown at them over the years- they make possibly the best tasting cake in the Washington Metropolitan area. I could not have been more happy with what they pulled together for my wedding. I would highly reccomend them to anyone who asked.

Cakes Plus has the best cakes! I used to be a Tiffanies lover but since I tasted the cakes form cakes Plus I fell in love.
