    Excellent Wedding Planner

    I booked Brilliant Affairs in April 2021 for my September 2021 wedding. At first I was not going to use a planner but was starting to get over whelmed with planning and the day of organization. I just wanted to make sure my day would run smooth, so that's when I decided to book Brilliant Affairs. Looking back I am so grateful I did. During the final month of preparation Denise was very easy to get a hold of to answer any questions. Denise made my day run extremely smooth and was right by my side throughout the day if I need anything! (including ginger ale to settle my stomach during pictures) Her day of timeline and organization was flawless. Even my hotel coordinator made a comment that she was on point with her organization and details of the day and that I had a great coordinator! I could not be more pleased with my experience! Look no further and book Brilliant Affairs, you will not regret it!

    One of the best decisions of our wedding

    I got married two weeks ago at the Moorestown Community House, and as a bride who DIYed basically everything I could, I knew I needed some help the day of.

    After reaching out to a few different companies, I ended up booking with Denise as our day-of coordinator. Mainly I was hoping for someone to set up and take down the decor I had made, but Denise went above and beyond all of my expectations. Even before the wedding, she checked in with our other vendors, put together a wedding timeline for the day, ran our rehearsal the night before and even went out of her way to meet with the venue on her own to look into different options I had to enter our ceremony space without being seen. She was on top of things, arguably way more than I was.

    The day of the actual wedding she brought two assistants with her (who were also wonderful), and the whole venue was set up better than I had even imagined. She made sure she understood the look I was going for and ran with it. The whole day she checked in with the groom and I to make sure we had everything we needed, and was just overall such a calming and wonderful presence in what could have been a stressful day.

    I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brilliant Affairs to anyone -- hiring Denise was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. With so many moving parts, I could have been stressing all day (and in the weeks leading up to it), but instead I was able to relax and have an amazing wedding, knowing Denise and her staff were more than up to the task.

    Outstanding Wedding Coordination!

    Denise and her assistants, Lauria and Victoria, were fantastic. In my first phone call with Denise, she answered all of my questions and laid out everything she would be doing for month-of wedding coordination. Exactly one month before my wedding, Denise reached out to begin coordination. Her organization skills helped ensure nothing was forgotten. It made the last few weeks of wedding planning feel way less stressful! She reached out to vendors when we needed help, met with us for a venue walkthrough, and gave us ideas for memorable wedding day moments. During the rehearsal and wedding day, Denise, Lauria and Victoria handled everything for us. They were on time, prepared, and made sure every aspect was taken care of. Not to mention, they were so kind to us and our families. We couldn't have asked for more!

    Excellant Experience!

    I quickly realized that I needed professional assistance coordinating my wedding. Making sure that all the details and finishing touches were exactly how I envisioned them. It was important to me to have someone make sure we were on time and stress free. Brilliant Affairs was just the coordinator I needed. Their team arrived on time and ready to handle everything that was needed. They assisted my bridal party and the other professionals, making sure that everything was going as planned and also managed my ceremony. At the venue every detail was in place exactly when I arrived and my guests had an amazing time. Thank you Brilliant Affairs!

    Made my special day go so smooth!

    At first I thought I could handle the planning and coordination of my own wedding but it quickly became overwhelming. Hiring Brilliant Affairs as my coordinator was a great decision! My wedding day couldn't have run more smoothly, and stress free. Denise and her team arrived right on time and quickly went into action answering of all the professionals questions and making sure all details were in place. They anticipated my every need, including making sure that I was fed, The wedding day was perfect. I would highly recommend Brilliant Affairs to any couple looking to enjoy their wedding day.

    Denise is the best

    Denise has been AMAZING during this planning process! she is available 24/7 and is always happy to answer my questions even if I've asked them repeatedly. Denise is great at keeping us on track as to when we need to be booking vendors or sending out save the dates. I would be lost with out her and highly recommend to any bride and groom who are looking for a wedding planner.

    Great Coordinator!

    Had the pleasure of working with Denise on a wedding I officiated in Cape May New Jersey. She did such an amazing job of making the bride feel comfortable and calm, all the while handling multiple vendors and guests. The entire event went off flawlessly. She maintained a calm, cool, and collected attitude throughout the entire process. Highly recommend.

    Best Wedding Planner Ever!

    I was a little hesitant about whether or not I wanted to spend the extra money and get a wedding planner since we are a young couple with 3 young children and had a really tight budget but I’m so glad I did! Denise was awesome! She helped us from the very beginning to the very end. A lot of people think it’s not necessary to have a wedding planner that they can do it on their own but Denise was so helpful she really knows the wedding world and has a lot of connections with so many great vendors. She understood we were on a budget and found us all the venders that were perfect for us who fit our style and budget and personalities. She was able to help us narrow down the search and gave us both her professional and personal opinions. She was very knowledgeable and experienced. It was so easy to reach her she always answered her emails or text messages within minutes and she made sure we stayed ahead of our wedding timeline. As busy as I was with 3 kids and my 2 jobs she made planning this wedding so easy for me. She is very organized and very convenient. She came and met with us in our home town since it was easier for us and she went to every vendor meeting we had. Everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding she was the first one at the venue and helped set up all the decorations perfectly for us everything looked even better then I had expected she made sure all the vendors showed up when they were supposed to and made sure they were doing what they were supposed to and her candy buffet at the end of the night was just the perfect ending to our perfect day. I would highly recommend Denise to anyone who is looking for or thinking about having a wedding planner! She really is passionate about her job and she will truly become a good friend along the way.

    Brilliance I’m Brilliant Affairs

    I am very grateful to have hired Brilliant Affairs to help with day of wedding coordination. Especially when I was able to have Denise lay out decorations at the venue while I was getting married in the church. Usually the ceremony & reception are at the same location, but the venue I chose was a half hour from the church I got married at. For the most part, I am satisfied.🤗

    Very Happy with Brilliant Affairs

    My wife and I hired Brilliant Affairs to assist in the planning and coordination of our wedding. It was the best decision we made. Having a professional to guide us through the process made everything so much more easier. Through Denise’s experience and connections, she introduced us to professionals who matched our style, personality and budget. On the wedding day I was able to relax and enjoy the morning with the guys knowing that my wife was enjoying herself with the women getting ready for our wedding. It was the best day of our lives and Brilliant Affairs made it all possible.

    Denise is fantastic, we had a blast working with her. She was helpful, fun, and really kept things under control on our big day.     How do I begin to review Denise and Brilliant Affairs?? To say I would not have had a wedding without her is a start! I am new to NJ and was completely overwhelmed at, not just planning a wedding, but planning a wedding in an area where I am unfamiliar. I really needed someone who has experience and connections. Oh and we wanted to get married in 6 months from the start of the planning. THE BEST WEDDING DECISION I MADE was to hire Denise. Denise is the consummate professional and really listened to us and got to know us well. She was able to take our crazy ideas and quirks and incorporate them into a personal and fun wedding. She guided us all through the planning, finding excellent vendors via her contacts and experience. She talked this bride off the ledge a few times. Very responsive, thorough and kept us on track for tasks and timing. Denise really had everything covered. My wedding day was calm and I was able to focus on the moment and enjoy it, knowing I didn't have to worry about any details. I also have a new friend now in NJ! THANK YOU DENISE!!!

    Denise was a real pleasure to work with! She was highly organized and detail oriented from the start, which is exactly what we hoped for from our wedding day coordinator. However, what my husband and I liked even more about her was her ability to stay relaxed and make decisions on our behalf on our wedding day, because we were so busy with our own preparations. She also showed up early on our big day and was open to last minute changes in our ceremony. She's a true professional, and we highly recommend her to other couples looking for help in coordinating their wedding!

    Denise and her assistant Taylor were great! Everything was absolutely perfect. For her day-of coordinating service she assisted with everything from venue set-up and decorating, to helping organize people for pictures.     I cannot say enough about how amazing Denise is to work with. The candy bar at my January 13, 2018 wedding was beyond my expectations. I had almost 100 lbs. of candy for the bar. Her selections were unmatched by any other vendor I looked at (I looked at a lot!). The jars, scoops, and bags (with personal labels) were so beautiful and professional. We supplied her with some photos and other decorations and she set up the bar the day of with everything we gave her and she even added her own touches that made it truly beautiful. Denise was so easy to communicate with and responded quickly. I choose to pay for the candy bar a little at a time using PayPal and Denise was sure to send me an email to let me know she received a payment every time! I will update this with a photo or two once I get them from my Photographer (the candy bar looked so good that everyone went up there during dinner and I didn't even get a chance to take a picture before people went for it!).     I was the officiate of the wedding. Denise made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. It was one of the best weddings I have attended. I believe it was a true fairy tale experience. With so many details to attend to at such an event having Brillant Affairs to coordinate everything was a God send!

    Brilliant Affairs was simply that - brilliant. I had hired them as our month-of coordinators and could not imagine having this wedding without them. They were wonderful with coordinating with all of our vendors and setting up a timeline for the big day, as well as managing everything from set-up to break-down the day of. It was such a relief knowing that all of the small details and staff coordination was taken care of, and I could spend all of my time enjoying the day with the people closest to us. Denise, Mia, and Nicole were professional and very attentive - they handled anything that we needed, including printing our vows at the last minute, re-doing a DIY Bar Menu sign the day before, and going back to our hotel room to grab my sandals when my heels got too uncomfortable on the dance floor! It was a joy having them help out with our wedding, and I would really recommend them to anyone looking for month-of or day-of coordinators!

    I cannot praise Denise and Mia enough for how hard they worked to make my daughter's wedding a success.Denise came quite a distance to my daughter's house for an initial meeting, and she and Mia came to the venue a month before the wedding to go o over details and "walk through" the ceremony outdoors. on the day of the wedding, Denise personally met with the vendors- the band, the florist, the wedding cake baker- freeing me up to enjoy the day. I should mention that Denise brought assistants at no cost to me to ensure that everything went well. Further, they staryed to the very end of the party, ensuring that i got all the gifts before they left. I would highly recommend Brilliant Affairs.

    I contacted Denise to be a "day of" coordinator for our wedding day, September 25, 2016. We had a lot of decorations and homemade touches that we were bringing ourselves and I wanted to ensure it was all set up without having to stress on the day of the wedding.

    Denise and her team were absolute perfection. I spoke to and met with Denise a few times before the wedding. She came to our rehearsal and did a walk through with us. I gave her all of the info and details on how I envisioned things and Denise made it all happen. They arrived at our location on the day of and did a phenomenal job setting up. I didn't have to worry about a thing.

    The team was great throughout the day. They were always there in case we needed or wanted something. At the end of the night they did an amazing job breaking everything down and packing it away exactly as it had come. The venue we were at also commented on how excellent Denise and her team were and how great they were to work with. (I consider that a pretty great comment considering wedding venues work with hundreds of planners and vendors).

    I worked with Denise and one of her clients to make a 4 tier one of a kind Sweet 16 Animal Print cake. Denise brought her client to me, we had a tasting and then designed the cake together. You could see Denise worked well with her client, Listening to what she wanted but yet advise the clients of other options or keeping the client on track with the decor and budget. Denise was concerned for her client and also me as the vendor, checking in from time to time to go over details, time lines and even making sure the client contacted me to make the payments on time... It was a true pleasure to work with both Denise and her client. I would love to work with you again.

    Denise was our day-of-decorator for our November wedding, and an absolute pleasure to work with. My fiancé and I are a DIY couple and made all of our wedding decor ourselves, but we hired Denise to set everything up for us in the venue on our wedding day.

    From day one, Denise was organized and quick to respond to emails. We held an initial walk through of our venue so she could get a sense of the space, and she quickly caught on to our decor theme and style (romantic wood, candles, and greenery). The majority of our communication was via email, but we felt confident the Denise was ready to make our space beautiful based on the pictures we shared.

    The day of the wedding we arrived at the venue and were beyond thrilled. Our cocktail space decor looked fantastic, and our centerpieces were arranged in a way that was even better than we planned on/envisioned! Denise’s keen eye had guests raving. I would highly recommend Denise to any DIY bride that needs an extra hand!

She attended the final meeting with the venue a few weeks before the wedding to get the scoop, and was there for me offering advice whenever I needed it leading up to the big day. Then, on the day of, she executed everything and handled any issues that came up so I didn't have to. I highly recommend Brilliant Affairs for your planning and coordination needs!

    Unnecessary Difficulties

    Denise was my wedding planner that I hired approximately 6 months prior to my wedding. Initially she recommended to me some great vendor contacts including the photographer, DJ, florist, and officiant and we signed all the contracts through her. All of the vendors she recommended were top notch and ended up saving us so much money that it well paid for her expenses. However, we had multiple hiccups throughout the course of the planning that became problematic just prior to the wedding. All of these issues I have attempted to address with Denise directly with her and all of them have been brushed off and if possible corrected but only at my insistence.
    - Throughout the planning stages, Denise attempted to push different options on my husband and I, (e.g. spending more than 30 minutes texting me options of readings for the wedding one month prior to the wedding despite the fact that I had repeatedly reminded her that we are not doing any readings at the ceremony - which the officiant was fine with and worked out exactly perfectly).
    - She talked badly about other brides stating that putting dates on wedding favors was tacky and no one would want them. Including a time when she purposely left a wedding favor on the table despite being asked about it because she thought it was ugly.
    - She created multiple confusions with the vendors. During the initial meetings with vendors she often told them that my husband and I wanted to talk via phone call to the vendors asap to see if we wanted to book them. She told my husband and I that the vendors wanted that. Often that lead to vendors contacting me and my husband late at night (9pm at one time) and often they were confused as to why we wanted to speak to them so urgently. My husband and I are busy individuals and quiet in nature so this is not something we wanted/preferred and Denise was aware of that and yet continued to do this for some unknown reason.
    - In each initial communication with vendors we often set up the specifics we wanted/they needed. Only occasionally was the first discussion not sufficient to gather all the information both parties needed. However, in the month leading up to the event Denise communicated multiple times with multiple vendors giving them misinformation and changing the schedule for the day of (that was set up months prior to the event with only minor tweaks in the weeks before). This created multiple levels of confusion for the vendors and nearly all vendors reached out to me directly (thankfully) to clarify as they were very clear in what we wanted as a couple and were confused as to the changes. This led me to ask Denise to include me in all her conversations with vendors, a request that she initially ignored and finally agreed to but only after telling me she thought it was “too confusing” for brides to be kept in the loop on all communication. In the end however, she continued to have multiple communications that I was not included on which led me to have to discuss and clarify with one vendor the night before my wedding when I was supposed to be enjoying my rehearsal dinner with my out of town family.
    - She was not organized leading up to the event. The week before she admitted to me that she did not have any contract between myself and the vendors, despite the fact that she was included on all communication between vendors (and as a matter of fact in most cases she got the contract from the vendor directly, forwarded it to me, I sent it back to her and then she sent it to the vendor and I did not have any direct contact initially with the vendor). Therefore I had to print out all the contracts for her the week before my wedding. She did not have any concept of what Jared and I wanted for the wedding day just weeks prior and we had to go over all the details of what had been set for months between her, myself and all vendors which she either did not agree with previously, did not write down or understand or what. We had to redo the timelines of the day of multiple, I had to correct her glaring spelling errors two to three times before she changed them and she often inexplicably reverted to prior versions of the timeline instead of correcting them.
    - On the day of there were several unnecessary hiccups. There were a couple of individuals who I knew on the day of would attempt to make changes and Denise was specifically told to politely but firmly decline. However, on the day of I witnessed my MIL attempting to change a seating chart based on some false assumptions she had made because of the table numbers. My MIL and I have a great relationship and she is generally very helpful but also a little overbearing, and she was one of the people on this no-go list. When I saw this I mentioned to her that we won’t be changing it and Denise, knowing she was not to be making any changes, simply stated “it is only one seat its no big deal”. A few moments later I mentioned to Denise privately and restated our earlier agreement, unfortunately my MIL was nearby and came over asking if I was talking about her specifically which created some unnecessary stress on my wedding day. Luckily my MIL and I have a good relationship and I just spoke with her honestly and she was fine with that.
    - Additionally, on my wedding day, despite multiple multiple long discussions, Denise insisted on referring to one of my bridesmaids as my maid of honor. There was unfortunately some drama prior to the wedding regarding the MOH decision and therefore my husband and I decided not to have a MOH/best man but rather give everyone the same title. 5-10x over the course of the night Denise insisted on calling my best friend on the day of the wedding my MOH in front of everyone which upset one of the bridal party. This was despite me multiple times correcting her over the course of the night and despite the fact that she was fully aware of why we made this choice in the first place.
    - The last straw for my husband and the reason I felt strongly about writing a thorough and honest review also happened on our wedding day. Our officiant brought my husband a gift of hot peppers that dried and canned from his garden. This is something my husband and I but especially my husband loves and we were so happy to receive such a thoughtful and sweet gift. When I went through everything at the end of the night and day after my wedding I found that we did not have this item and neither did the venue. I asked my husband who said Denise took it from him and told him she would put it away for safe keeping. When I texted Denise she told me that she took the gift from Jared and decided it looked “spicy” and “awful” so she left it to be thrown away, which they were. When Denise told me this I expressed to her that I found that to be very upsetting and she simply stated that we could get another one from the Officiant (who lives multiple hours away and would be very expensive to ship), never apologized and simply asked to give me a review.

    Overall, I could not in good conscious recommend Denise to another bride nor would I ever recommend her to anyone I knew personally.

    To address Denise's additional comments below the miscommunication that I had to clear up the night before the wedding was solely due to her and her incorrect assumptions and what she was actively telling the photographer. I called the photographer and he was shocked to find out that she had been so blatantly misinforming him and changing plans right before the minutes. She did drive me to my hair and make up trial at *her* insistence and would not allow my mother, bridesmaid nor any other guest because she likes the make up artist and wanted to spend time with her, it was my favor to her to allow her to come and enjoy not her going out of her way. Finally, she did not give me any decor for my wedding day at all, the venue set up all of my decor, she provided none. Nothing she has done was huge, and my wedding turned out perfect in the end, however, the fact that she created so much difficulty for me, refuses to take responsibility or apologize for her wrongdoings and now has began flat out lying is a huge red flag to anyone who hires her.
