Great experience from beginning to end

My bridal artistry team (Norma, Sondra and Mandy) were simply amazing. My mom and I had the best time during our trials and that feeling just continued throughout the wedding day. They were extremely responsive, answering all my questions leading up to the wedding, quickly and fully. On the day, we had so much fun with them and they managed to get through 9 people’s hair and makeup before noon (on time) with seaming ease. My makeup and hair lasted the entire day, over 14 hours, and I felt great. I cannot thank them enough for being such an integral part of our wedding day. It was magical and they played a huge part in that.

Must Use Bridal Artistry DC!

I had the most AMAZING experience working with Bridal Artistry DC for my wedding! Barb was really easy to work with to set everything up and very accommodating with my large bridal party (8 Bridesmaids, 2 Junior Bridesmaids, 2 Flower Girls and 2 moms)!! Nora and Sondra did such a great job accommodating everyone's hair style wishes while Norma and Stephanie perfectly executed the natural make-up look we all wanted. Scheduling a trial was easy and Nora and Norma help me try many style varieties until we locked down the perfect look for my big day. Overall, their flexibility, responsiveness, straightforward pricing, flawless execution made this such a great experience. Everyone's hair and make-up held up the entire evening despite DC summer heat and LOTS of dancing! Everyone even got to keep a lipstick for touch ups! I HIGHLY recommend booking with them for you wedding or any big event!

Bridal and Wedding Party Hair and Makeup

I was so happy with our experience with Bridal Artistry for my October Wedding (Norma for hair and Sondra for makeup). They were both so friendly, flexible and professional. They took feedback so graciously and made adjustments based on my bridal trial and even in real time. They made me feel comfortable and confident and made sure my final look was exactly what I envisioned. Multiple members of my wedding part commented on how this was the best wedding hair and makeup experience they’ve had. Overall, couldn’t have been happier especially with how affordable it was compared to other DC area vendors! Would highly recommend!

Heidi Gracie Shea was the best!

Heidi Shea in Leesburg, VA was the artist who did my hair. She did a fabulous job. I went to her home in Leesburg a few months before my wedding to do a hair trial. My hair is very long and thin and does not easily hold curls. Learning from the trial we were able to make adjustments for the day of the wedding and it held perfectly from 11:00 a.m. all the way until I showered after hours of dancing and having a wonderful time at my wedding. She was very responsive and kind throughout the whole process. She came to the hotel where we were staying any getting ready on the day of the wedding and was right on time. I did my own makeup but Heidi did my mother and mother-in-law's makeup and hair. They both looked beautiful and like themselves as opposed to looking over the top with makeup. My hair was perfect for a perfect wedding thanks to Heidi!

Amazing wedding HMU!

Thanks to Bridal Artistry, I felt like an absolute princess throughout my wedding weekend! My husband and I had a 2-day half Indian wedding, and Mandy and Nora did my hair and makeup both days including head jewelry and extensions. They did beyond amazing!!! I received so many compliments on both days and loved how everything turned out! During the trial, they tried the looks for both days and worked with me to make sure it came out exactly how I wanted. They also did amazing hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, and MIL! All of my bridesmaids had Indian head jewelry as well, and Mandy was able to incorporate it into their hairstyles beautifully. I truly can't thank them enough for making us all feel so beautiful!!

AMAZING Experience!!

I rarely write reviews but I had such a phenomenal experience with Sondra, Stephanie and Barbara! I loved my hair and makeup and they stayed perfect the whole night. They helped me find a last minute photographer when I ran into an issue with who I had lined up. And they were super fun and it was great to have them around while getting ready. I can't say enough good things!

I worked with Sondra and Stephanie for my wedding and they were truly amazing! During my hair and makeup trial they helped me think about what look I wanted and were willing to try different styles until we found the right one. A Look that Truly Lasted ALL Day

I was truly blown away by the hair and makeup team that Bridal Artistry provided me for my wedding day. Mandy did both my hair and makeup and it was better than I could have ever envisioned. I truly felt like a princess. My hair and makeup was done by 10 in the morning and at 3am at the afterparty it still looked like she had just done it - not a hair out of place despite my endless dancing! (Photo included below.)

In addition to me, my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law all looked equally fantastic! Everyone was happy with both their hair and their makeup.

Bridal Artistry was easy to work with and the owner, Barbara, consistently communicated with me to make sure everything was going great.

The best!!

I'm so grateful that I worked with Bridal Artistry, and would recommend them to all brides. I worked with Barbara initially for booking and payment and she was very responsive and answered all my questions. For hair and makeup, I worked with Stephanie and Jacinda, and they did an absolutely amazing job making my vision come to life. I had an idea of what I wanted, and they made me look exactly how I'd imagined. It was great to have the chance to do a hair/makeup trial as well. They also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom and MIL, and everyone raved about what a great job they did. On top of that, Jacinda and Stephanie brought such a great energy to our wedding morning! Would highly recommend Bridal Artistry to all brides!!

We had so much fun!

My bridesmaids and I don't wear makeup or do our hair often, and was looking for a more natural look. Jacinda (hair) & Nora (MU) understood the assignment and made it easy to look beautiful for the wedding and still feel like ourselves. What I didn't expect what how much fun Jacinda and Nora would be. Being around their positive, easy going, understanding personalities kicked off the wedding day on a good not. It put me at ease knowing that they have it handled. Plus they were extremely punctual and got us all ready right on time.

My mom wanted to make some adjustments to her hairstyle, but didn't know how to communicate it. Jacinda allowed my mom to use her tools to try to do it. After patiently watching, Jacinda quickly understood what my mom wanted, and took care of it! It could have been a stressful moment, especially with the language barrier, but Jacinda observation skills and kindness really made a difference.

Amazing experience with Bridal Artistry

Bridal Artistry truly made our wedding weekend so special. We loved planning with them and on the weekend itself, the team was so efficient yet kind with not only me but also our family and friends. I loved my makeup so much and received so many compliments on it. They were able to make me glow without overdoing it all, and they also did an incredible job with my hair (despite having multiple events and not being able to wash it in between). Everyone was amazing to work with.

Before the wedding, they listened to what I liked at the consultation and emailed back and forth with any feedback I had after to ensure I had the look I wanted. During the wedding weekend, I felt incredibly at ease with the team. I loved that they added their own input to what we already decided on - for example, they noticed some green in one of my outfits and added beautiful green and gold eyeshadows. They also touched up my makeup/hair before I even noticed I needed it and stayed back if I ever needed more help.

Regarding my family and friends, they all told me they loved working with the entire team that weekend. They stuck to the schedule so well, which was very helpful especially with our tight schedule. They are incredibly talented, professional, respectful, kind, and so fun. Everyone loved their makeup and hair, and I know my friends and family would not hold anything back if they had something to say. They made everyone feel so beautiful, and I would highly recommend them!

Thank You Norma & Nora!

Norma & Nora were my makeup team for a two-day wedding celebration. They were so wonderful and made everyone feel beautiful. In a very touching moment, Grandma teared up when she saw how lovely Nora's make-up looked on her. Norma gave me some great advice during our H&MU trial on what to ask my hair salon to do in preparation for the big day(s). Both of them were on time, professional, flexible with our constantly shifting numbers, and fun to be with for 4-ish hours per day!

Amazing team!

I had a great experience with this team (Jacinda, Sondra, Norma, and Mandy). They were on time, relaxed, professional, fun, and made us all look great! I made a last minute lipstick switch, one of my bridesmaids wanted to use her own makeup, and a couple of ladies never wear makeup and wanted particularly natural looks. All of those requests were taken in stride and everyone was happy with their hair and makeup. This team was by far our best day-of vendor to work with as well as reasonably priced. Would absolutely recommend!

Highly recommend Bridal Artistry!

I can't recommend Bridal Artistry enough! Barbara and Norma were great to work with and were so flexible and patient with us as we had to keep changing the date of our wedding due to covid. I only had a vague idea what I wanted my hair and make up to look like on my wedding day, but Norma exceeded my expectations and was able to capture the look I was going for. Looking back at my wedding photos I'm so happy I chose Bridal Artistry to do my hair and make up. You can't go wrong with them - they will make you look absolutely beautiful on your wedding day!

Bridal Artistry was Perfect

We coordinated with Barb and worked with Norma for hair and Sondra for makeup. Both Norma and Sondra were lovely, super helpful and just great at their craft.

The ladies in the wedding party all had different length and types of hair, Norma did a great job making everyone feel their best and everyone’s hair held up all night.

Sondra was so patient and understanding, I have never felt more beautiful! The makeup lasted for hours and we even went out to party after the wedding!

Both Sondra and Norma were a delight to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to look and feel their most beautiful for their wedding.

Amazing Work and Very Flexible

I decided to hire a make-up artist for my wedding ~1.5 months before the big day and was initially having a hard time finding a company that would come onsite for my small party (initially only myself and one friend were having make-up done). I was very excited when I found Bridal Artistry and discovered they would come onsite for my small party. The team was very responsive to my inquiry and wrote back the same day. Sondra was the make-up artist for my day, she was very professional, understood my vision, and was very flexible when we added an additional friend who wanted her make-up done as well. Amazing for my wedding and bridal portraits

Great team for hair and makeup!!

Barbara and the Bridal Artistry team (Sondra and Jacinda) were a pleasure to work with. We had a last minute and unforeseen conflict with my original makeup artist but Barbara and team stepped in and made sure everything went smoothly and I felt comfortable with the change by giving me another trial the week of the wedding. Brandi made me gorgeous!

Brandi from Bridal Artistry did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was amazing! I got so many compliments- even at 1am after 12 hours of photos/celebrating. I can't recommend Brandi more highly- I was so happy to find one person to take care of both my hair and makeup. I really don't know anything about makeup and Brandi was able to make me totally gorgeous with minimal direction.

Amazing Experience

It was great working with Bridal Artistry for my wedding in October during the pandemic. Norma was so kind and easy to work with--she did a great job on my hair and makeup, both during the trial and on the actual day. The team was on time and prepared. They made sure all my bridesmaids, relatives, and flower girl looked amazing and were kind enough to fix any last minute touch-ups before we left for the ceremony. Even though I danced and jumped a lot during my reception, my hair stayed in place. Everyone we worked with were professional, kind, talented, and fun to have around as we got ready. They did makeup and hair for my group made up of all ages, skin colors, skin types, and hair types quickly and beautifully. I would highly recommend them.

Perfect Bride Hair from Stephanie

Stephanie from Bridal Artistry was AMAZING. She was really good at listening to what I wanted and interpreting it to suit me. I don't dress up much so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to describe what I wanted, but I had a few pinterest photos and Steph just "got it". The trial went really well and she was flexible with me, modifying as we went until I was comfortable. Since we got it just right at the trial, my wedding hair went perfectly. I didn't have a veil but I added a fresh flower to my braid and again, Stephanie got it just right. My hair felt secure and comfortable all day. Plus she was super friendly so that was great energy for my wedding morning!
It's COVID, so I (bride) was the only one who got my hair done. Stephanie came to my parents' house where I was getting ready, which made everything so easy. She wore a mask the whole time, I wore a mask at the beginning (to be respectful) but took it off once it started to get in the way of my hair.

Amazing bridal party hair and makeup/

I was in a wedding 4 years ago and the bride chose Bridal Artistry. I had such a good experience with them that I knew I needed them to do my wedding. So many thanks to the Bridal Artistry team (Barbara, Mandy, and Norma) who really made our daughter's wedding day special. They arrived early and put the bride and her maid of honor at ease, while enhancing (rather than replacing) their look. A special shout out to Norma, who did the hair and makeup trial.

This firm really stood out for being so careful about Covid - masks, sanitization, and awareness of risks to family and guests. We are very grateful to them for their care during a very complex time.

Great experience

Norma came to my apartment to do my hair and makeup for a special event. She was incredibly responsive via email while we were planning the appointment, and asked for inspiration so that she could plan the styles. She wore a mask the entire time (as I requested and Barbara confirmed was their policy), and sprayed everything with 91% alcohol in front of me...I felt very comfortable with the protocols.

Norma was super friendly and we had a great chat the entire time. She explained everything she was doing, and it turned out great! I could not be happier with my hair and makeup from Norma.

The cost was reasonable ($280, plus tip, paid via Venmo).

Guaranteed to look spectacular on your wedding day!

I truly enjoyed working with Barbara (owner) and Jacinda (make-up artist) at Bridal Artistry as they provided superb customer service. I was originally planning my wedding for Fall 2018, but due to a medical situation, I was forced to postpone. Barbara was so nice to refund my deposit until I was ready to reschedule.
Once I was ready to move forward with a new date, I scheduled a trial for make-up and hair styling with Jacinda. I told Jacinda that I preferred a natural look and she talked me through each application of make-up and took the time to ensure that I was comfortable and pleased with how I looked. I also asked if she could help make my face look thinner and she was able to apply shadowing to reduce my double chin. I was thrilled with my make-up and it held up throughout the photos, wedding and reception despite perspiration, tears and lots of dancing. I looked like my best self and was so pleased with how Jacinda did my make-up.
I have really thick, heavy hair and I was concerned that an up do would end up falling. Jacinda suggested a style that framed my face well and could endure the dancing. She showed me two different styles during the trial. On the day of my wedding my hair looked amazing and it stayed in place all through the afternoon and evening. I was really pleased with how my hair and make-up complimented my dress, enhanced my natural features and felt comfortable throughout my wedding.
I highly recommend Bridal Artistry to future brides as they are friendly, accommodating, creative, reliable and professional throughout the entire process from trial session to the big day!

Five star make-up and hair styling! Helpful hair and make-up trial for Mother of the Groom. Attentive to client needs, flexible on a day that could be stressful, pleasant to work with, worked well with 3 flower girls 8 and under. The final results showed in beautiful wedding photos and smiling faces knowing we all looked our best!

Great Job with a Large Wedding Party

Bridal Artistry did a great job with the hair and makeup for our wedding day, especially given that we had a large wedding party (9 people, plus bride and mothers of bride/groom) and an early wedding start time of 11 AM! Brandi, Jacinda, and Steph all helped create beautiful looks, and I appreciated the time they took during the pre-wedding trial to come up with a bridal look that I would smile back at every time I look at the pictures.

Amazing, talented, gracious team of professionals! They made our day PERFECT!

This talented team of professionals, (Barbara and Sondra for makeup, Brandi and Jacinda for hair) trudged through the pouring rain (and were even early!) to make our day special. We had a multi-cultural, wide age span group of 10 with varying skin types, hair types and lengths, and different visions for our own look. Every one us received their own individual hair and makeup experience, customized just for us! What an amazing experience! Not only are they extremely talented at what they do, they are gracious and lovely ladies! They are soothing and affirming, amazing listeners, and want nothing else but to make the experience perfect for the bride (and bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Mother in Law and even Grandmothers)! Brides, look no further! I could not find one thing to fuss at, it was literally a perfect experience (and I had very high expectations!). They fussed at us until the end, offering touch ups and one final hairspray and fixing! Our day was their only priority and it showed. We all felt very pampered, and beautiful because of this team. I cannot say enough about them, Bridal Artistry DC was, from first contact, through end services, a truly professional team!

SO pleased with my hair and makeup, thank you!

I had been researching several hair and makeup artists in the DC area - then Bridal Artistry was recommended to me by a friend whose wedding was a few months before. Once I saw the beautiful photos of their work (plus seeing my friend on her wedding day - she took my breath away!), I contacted Barbara immediately!

I knew I was in good hands from the beginning, when Barbara asked me what type of makeup I wanted for my wedding day -- it was important to me to have a 'fresh' look -- somewhere between totally natural makeup and a more dramatic look. I appreciated that the experience seemed to be tailored from the get-go.

Barbara let me know I would be working with Jacinda (hair) and Brandi (makeup). Both of them were FANTASTIC to work with, I cannot stress this point enough. Jacinda and Brandi were kind and fun to be around! For my trial, I brought some photos and further described the look I was going for. I even described to Brandi some of my past makeup mishaps when I was in other weddings (e.g., I know I look like I have tan skin, but for some reason tan makeup does not work for me, ha!). Brandi took this into consideration, and we tried 2 shades of foundation to ensure it matched my skin tone!

Jacinda was able to produce exactly the look I wanted for my hair - swept to the side with some criss-crossing in the back, definitely out of my face but still looking like it was 'down'. I brought a few options for decorative combs/clips and Jacinda tried all of them in my hair and helped me decide!

Needless to say I walked away from my trial completely excited and no longer worried if my hair/makeup would look good on the wedding day :)

Before the wedding day, Jacinda and Brandi were very communicative as we figured out the timeline and when and where they should arrive. On the day itself, Jacinda and Brandi were on-time, professional, and were so efficient while doing excellent work! They styled me, 2 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a flower girl. My two bridesmaids (all of us have been in many weddings) kept commenting how they'd never seen the getting-ready process go so smoothly. Jacinda and Brandi made sure everyone felt comfortable in their style and made last-minute adjustments when needed.

Lastly, I made a little mistake and ended up paying Brandi twice for one of my bridesmaids' makeup. I had no idea this had happened because the day can get a little chaotic. Brandi realized the mishap, sent me a message explaining and returned the extra money. I so appreciate her professionalism in checking her totals and letting me know what had happened!

Absolutely the best!

Barbara and Stephanie were the best! Barbara made everyone look so beautiful without being over the top; Stephanie made everyone's hair look absolutely stunning. They both really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make sure I was happy with the finaly look. And they were so much fun to work with on the day! Stress free!

I got married in May 2019 and hired Bridal Artistry for hair and makeup for my bridal party, my mother, my mother in law, and me. The team was amazing! Viking Braids!!

It was difficult to find an expert in Viking braiding, but I did!! Steph at Bridal Artistry did an amazing job with my hair!!! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a sophisticated or complicated hairstyle for their wedding. She was unbelievable!!

I got married on July 22, 2018. When I first met Barbara, she was so easy-going, warm and friendly. My first makeup trial with a different company didn't go well at all, so I was happy when Barbara took her time during the makeup trial to understand what I wanted and then delivered great results. A few weeks before my wedding, I got really tan by accident and was nervous this would make things difficult as she would have to time extra time to match my new shade of makeup. Barbara was very reassuring and on my wedding day she did an excellent job with not only adjusting my makeup but doing all my friends' makeup really well. Barbara and Norma were the best hair and makeup artists I've ever worked with. As a half-Korean half-Caucasian person I've experienced my fair share of professional makeup artists who don't know how to put makeup on Asian eyes, to disastrous, clown-like results. I also barely wear makeup so I like an all-natural look, which is something that seems to be lost on many makeup artists. Barbara and her fantastic team are used to working with brides and bridal parties of all sorts of ethnic backgrounds and I had complete confidence they'd make me, my three bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law beautiful for two ceremonies in one day. All of us looked flawless, gorgeous, and natural, and we couldn't have been happier with the results.

As a company, Bridal Artistry was a pleasure to work with--quick to respond, friendly, and flexible when I had to shift my start time for getting ready a few hours earlier. Mandy did my hair and makeup, and she did beautiful work. Hair and makeup stood up against the wind during outdoor photos and the sweat (err..."glow") from dancing all night. I also hired Mandy to make custom hair extensions, and they matched my hair perfectly.

I first worked with Bridal Artistry as a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding in Nov 2016, and asked for so many of her vendor recommendations as I began planning my own wedding. I had thought Ky did a wonderful job with my hair in my friend’s wedding, and asked for her by name. Barbara was quick and responsive over emails the whole time , and Ky was available for our day. The day of the trial, we also discovered a bit by chance that Laura (makeup) had worked my friend’s wedding, too!

Ky spent a lot of time asking questions during the trial: I had a few photos, and she was able to get me to describe what I liked and didn’t among the different ones. We landed on the perfect look on the first try, and didn’t need a single change. Laura was spot on with what I wanted from makeup: nothing over the top, but clearly better than my every day!

The day of went wonderfully for myself, and five bridesmaids (plus a blowout for my mother in law). Everyone looked stunning and the styles held through the very last dance.

Bridal Artistry did a great job on the hair and makeup for my wedding which included myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. My hair and makeup turned out exactly as we discussed at the trial and it looked amazing! They set up everything at our hotel and they were on time and finished according to schedule. I was really pleased with Barbara and Norma from Bridal Artistry for makeup and hair. The ability for me to do a trial on the weekend was nice. I can't recommend Barbara and Bridal Artistry enough! Barbara did the makeup for my sister's wedding and I knew when I got married, I would use Barbara too. So when I got married this May, I gave her a call. My usual style is the more "natural" look and I almost never wear makeup. Barbara was able to beautifully enhance my face, giving me a very clean, and stunning wedding face that was the perfect amount of makeup. I also used Stephanie, from her team, for my hair. I did not have a wedding party so I only needed hair and makeup for myself. There are so many companies out there I had trouble picking one - what tipped the scale for me with Bridal Artistry was that they were willing to commit to a trial date AND my wedding date at the time of booking. I wanted to do my trial on a day that I had to attend a black tie wedding, so I could truly try out the "wear" of the look - and not just go home from the trial all glammed up for my pajamas! I was matched up with Norma who did both hair and makeup. It was beautiful - I felt like a rockstar. Every email was answered promptly and scheduling was a breeze. My wedding day hair of makeup looked exactly like what we'd tried out! The styling was careful and executed beautifully. Norma always made sure I was comfortable and felt like the most beautiful version of myself!

I spent A LOT of time researching bridal hair/makeup before I chose Bridal Artistry and they are by far the best out there.

I'll start by saying that I have A LOT of hair and I'm always apprehensive when it comes to having it styled by someone because I know how overwhelming it can be. When it came time for my hair and makeup trial Norma was able to tame my mane like the pro she is. She had no problem getting my hair to do exactly what I wanted it to do! Sondra was my makeup artist and she was able to create the exact look I was going for and took the time to mix a few different shades of foundation to get my exact shade of incredibly pale!

On the day of the wedding Norma and Sondra both arrived to my house 10 minutes early and got to work immediately. I have hair and make-up done for my brides maids and the mothers of the bride and groom and everything was perfect. I even changed up my hair and make-up slightly from my trials and both artist perfectly captured my vision of what I wanted. Everyone looked gorgeous the entire day and both hair and make-up held up in the July heat!

I used Barbara and Jacinda from Bridal Artistry for my wedding hair and make-up and they were both wonderful! Barbara was very responsive through the entire process and easy-to work with. We set-up a hair and makeup trial a few weeks before the wedding where I was able to see the entire look and make changes before the actual wedding day which I found to be very helpful.

On the wedding day, Barbara and Jacinda both traveled to our getting ready location and provided hair and make-up for myself, 8 bridesmaids, my mother, and the groom’s mother. Jacinda was able to perfectly replicate the hair designs that the bridal party had brought pictures of and made each girl’s look unique. Barbara listened to what everybody wanted and provided make-up that did not look too heavy but was very pretty and lasted all night long.

Both Barbara and Jacinda were professional, easy-going, and helped to make our getting ready experience even more fun! I would highly recommend using Bridal Artistry for your entire wedding party’s hair and make-up needs.

I have been in several weddings that used Bridal Artistry for both hair and makeup, so it was a no-brainer to have them do mine when I got married. Barbara was great in coordinating everything. Stephanie did my hair and Pia did my makeup, both are amazing. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my hair, but showed Stephanie some ideas and she ran with it — I ended up loving the hair-style she did for me and the make-up that Pia did looked great as well. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous and were really happy with everything as well — we had two over stylists come and help, as we had about 9 people needing hair and make-up. I highly recommend Barbara's team. They do beautiful work and got everything done with time to spare before pictures.

Barbara and Kai from Bridal Artistry were amazing, both in terms of their bang up job of making me look glamorous and their great personalities! Barbara nailed exactly the glamorous but not over-done make up look I wanted, we had discussed how to change it after the trial and she really listened to my feedback. Kai was great with my up-do, it was beautiful and a little loose but lasted the entire night. Both had good suggestions based on extensive experience and were fun to work with the day of the ceremony. Highly recommended to other brides!

I was concerned about my curly hair that tends to get frizzy when brushed and about my ivory skin color that looks orange with too much bronzer. However, I had nothing to worry about! They listened to my concerns and everything looked AMAZING for the big day. They also had a larger group of girls to work with (6 bridesmaids, 2 moms and the bride) but they stuck closely to the schedule and everyone looked fantastic!! Only positive things to say!

Barbara and Norma did a great job on me and my family members. I normally do not wear a lot of makeup and did not really know what would look good, but Barbara created a look that was very natural but still looked right for the event. Norma also did a great job on my hair. I have very thick wavy hair that she made into a great braided look. My mom also got her hair and makeup done and it looked amazing. My mom sent some pictures of what she wanted for her hair and Norma came up with something that was just what she was looking for. I recommend Barbara and her team very highly. After going to the hair/makeup trial, I was very assured that it would look great on the big day and it did.

I chose Bridal Artistry based on the recommendation of two friends who also used them for their Virginia weddings. Although I now live in Colorado, Barbara was very accommodating and fit me in for a consultation when I was back in town a couple of months before our wedding.

When I arrived at Stone Tower for our wedding on 09.04.16 Barbara and her team were already there! They were extremely professional and did an amazing job on hair/makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, flower girls and Mother in Law. Everyone looked amazing from call time to the end of the night. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Barbara and her team (Sondra-makeup & Norma- hair). From the beginning, they were always responsive to my emails and really put me at ease. On the day of my wedding, Sondra showed up early and the rest of the day was a breeze and stress-free from there. Not to brag, but I looked STUNNING on my wedding day, and it was all thanks to Audrey (make-up artist) and Norma (hair stylist). In addition to myself, Audrey and Norma effortlessly, professionally, and efficiently provided onsite hair and makeup for 4 bridesmaids and my mother. I worked with Barbara Hill at Bridal Artistry to get connected to the hairstylist (Ky) and makeup artist (Pia) for my wedding. Barbara called me just a few minutes after I submitted an inquiry online (that's some good service!) and I was immediately impressed with her professionalism and I knew her team would do a great job for my wedding. We went to Ky's home studio in VA for the trial and Pia joined as well to do the makeup piece. They were both total pros - they were able to see what i had pinned on pinterest and helped me visualize my style from there. They were open to adjustments and feedback from two of my lively bridesmaids who joined me for the trial. On the day of my wedding, they arrived to the hotel suite on time and got to work on the hair for me and 4 bridesmaids and makeup for me, the bridesmaids, and the moms. They followed the tight timeline for the day perfectly while remaining very chill and laid back, which is the perfect vibe for the getting ready time before a wedding. I was absolutely thrilled with my hair and makeup and that of my bridesmaids too and the mother of bride and mother of the groom looked stunning as well.

And not only was the hair and makeup great - but it stayed together in some stressful situations. Our entire wedding party got stuff in an elevator right before the ceremony! The temperature was rising as the minutes ticked on, but my hair and makeup held firm and there are some fun photos for prove it!

Bridal Artistry was a dream come true. They were very quick to respond, and extremely professional. When I came for my trial run, I was breaking out from the wedding stress, and they even provided me with a trial set of face cleanser. It did wonders - the first cleanser that has worked instantly on my face - and my face was clear as can be by the wedding day. They did a beautiful, tasteful job for my wedding day - I received so many compliments on the makeup specifically. I was so pleased with how it turned out and on top of that, I purchased more of the face cleanser and still use it! I went to a different company first and had a bad experience with a make up trial so I was kind of hesitant to do it again. But it couldn't have been any different. Right away, Barbara made me feel so much better. She listened to my request to have natural make up done, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. By the end of my trial, I knew that I'd be going with Bridal Artistry.

The team came to my hotel and spent all day working on me, the moms, and the bridal party. Everyone looked beautiful! They all looked like natural beauties and I could tell they were all so happy with their looks. Barbara and Saata did the flawless makeup and they even gave everyone their lip color to keep so they could touch up as needed throughout the night. Norma was the hairstylist and she did everyone's hair herself. Everyone did something different but each hairstyle was perfect. My hair held up well even after dancing all night.

Bridal Artistry was a great choice! Hair and makeup are so important that day and both were flawless that day and after seeing my photos I couldn't have been happier!! I worked with Mandy for hair and Tanesha for makeup. Both were able to duplicate the pictures and examples for me and my 6 bridesmaid with time to spare the day of the wedding. Mandy is incredibly talented and adds great finishing touches and attention to detail to her styles. Tanesha was great to work with too. I typically don't wear a lot of makeup and Tanesha was very patient with me as we worked to find the right style of makeup for the big day! The makeup looked flawless and it lasted the entire night through the after-party even after tearing up during the ceremony and sweating on the dance floor! From the start, I knew I was getting a quality experience with Barbara and her team. Barbara was always very quick to respond to my emails and she set me and my bridesmaids up with Ky Washington and Audrey Lee. I wanted to schedule my hair and makeup trial around my engagement photos and I asked for the date somewhat last minute. Her team was able to fulfill my request and me and one of my bridesmaids had a great time at Ky's very cute in-home studio.

On the day of my wedding, everyone arrived exactly on time and finished on time as well. My bridesmaids aren't really hair and makeup people so they didn't know what they wanted done, but both Ky and Audrey worked with them to figure out a look. I would definitely recommend Bridal Artistry to anyone else looking for a high quality and reliable company for their wedding day.

We loved working with Bridal Artistry!! It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! They worked with my schedule since I was planning the wedding from out of town to arrange my trial the week before the wedding. They came out to my Leesburg venue and had the all of the hair and makeup done for 8 women, including myself, done in 3.5 hours. We worked with Barbara, Ky Washington, and Jacinda Mosby. They were so much fun to work with and just kept everything so calm and fun for the day of the wedding. I had a blast talking to them and trusted them fully. Everyone looked so beautiful and received tons of compliments on their hair and makeup. My makeup and hair lasted the entire day and remained perfect even when I pulled out the veil. I don't live in the DC area, but my wedding was in DC, so meeting with any of my wedding vendors was tricky, since I also work round the clock and don't have much of a vacation allowance. Bridal Artistry worked around my schedule to help set up the trial hair/makeup session. The person who did my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids' hair, Mandy, is very talented. She also talked me out of reducing my makeup -- I had first looked at my bridal makeup under very harsh light -- which turned out to be a good call. Based on my trial with her, she also helped me figure out what kind of hair/makeup to have -- I wasn't really sure how to describe what I wanted since I'm very low key with hair and makeup (little to no makeup unless for special occasions and I never do my hair). My main concern was that I didn't want to (1) look like a different person and shock my spouse-to-be; and (2) look different in person than would appear in the photos (there's this idea that you need much more makeup so you show up in the photos, but I think if you go with an unskilled artist, your guests will be able to see all of the powder and makeup on your skin when they are standing next to you).

I chose this vendor almost entirely based off of the WeddingWire reviews, since I initially balked at the price. At the end, though, I think it really was worth it, since this is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, and you're photographed so much on your wedding day. My spouse and I chose to reduce other areas of our budget instead.

Norma did my hair (updo) for my wedding on March 21, 2015 as well as several of the bridesmaid's hair. Stephanie did hair for the mother of the bride, grandmother of the bride and a few bridesmaids. Norma is AWESOME and does an amazing job with hair, particularly updos. Stephanie did an amazing job as well and everyone received compliments on how good their hair looked.

Bridal hair is $275 which includes the pre-wedding consultation and on-site styling/veil placement and hair for bridesmaids/MOBs/grandmas etc. is $90 and $90 for makeup.

My hair was exactly what I wanted and the bridesmaid's hair all looked wonderful. Norma also kept everything ahead of schedule and is extremely efficient. I highly recommend Bridal Artistry for your wedding day.

Hair and makeup are such important services to get right on your wedding day, and Bridal Artistry did not disappoint. Barbara and her team worked tirelessly to perfect hair, makeup, and fake lash application on site for myself, 12 bridesmaids, and our moms/grandmas. I was able to do a pre-trial about two months out, and Barbara and her hairstylist, Ky Washington, worked with me for two hours to test what worked and what didn't, and took meticulous notes and lots of photos to make sure this guide could be referenced on the big day to take the guess work out of everything. Barbara is extremely organized, and she created an afternoon schedule for me that outlined which ladies were with her team members to keep everyone on track. Barbara is also incredibly kind, smart, and great at communicating via phone and e-mail. I was able to take away a powder and lipstick for touch ups that day, and all of my bridesmaids also received a lip color to take with them. The makeup look flawless, and nothing was caked on or runny throughout the event. I felt beautiful and exceptional thanks to Bridal Artistry, and I highly recommend hiring the team if you want to look your best on your big day.

I loved working with Barbara! Both her and the hair stylist were very professional. I had no idea what look I wanted for my wedding, but they came up with a look that I absolutely loved! They were very punctual the day of the wedding (very early) and were able to get the job done in the allotted time. Barbara brought extra assistants to help out for the short and early period of time. During our trial I realized that she had actually styled my hair when I was a bridesmaid in my friend's June wedding! I knew I was in good hands. Barbara did my make-up, and was very flexible when I wanted to change it up the week of the wedding. I ended up looking great, as did my maid of honor and my mom. My make-up lasted the whole night, even after all of the dancing.

Ky did my hair and it was perfect. I again also thought my sister and mom looked awesome. We did not do my trial run with extensions, but when I brought them to the day of the wedding she was able to work them in no problem.

Barbara and her team are awesome! She is very responsive to emails and questions and shows up when she needs to be. Very easy to work with and definitely work fast. Barbara did my makeup on my wedding day and it was absolutely fantastic. I'm a wedding photographer, so I've seen tons of different makeup artists but Barbara was the one I decided to go with for my big day. Her knowledge of makeup and her professionalism stood out amongst all the others. Norma did my hair and makeup and was absolutely wonderful about adjusting what she did on the day-of based off of my comments from the trials and even comments I emailed her afterwards! I had added makeup services on at the last minute (I was originally just going to use them for hair) and she took the effort to find another make up artist, Mandy, who could come in and help. That definitely saved us a few hours!

Everyone looked great and even after going through a two-hour photo session before the ceremony in 90-degree VA humidity we still looked awesome for the ceremony! (Would recommend having a makeup-savvy friend on hand the day-of for inevitable touchups though!) I contacted Barbara on EXTREMELY short notice as a bridesmaid for my friend wedding. She was very accommodating of my very last minute requests. She sent Mandy to work with us. Mandy turned up perfectly on time with all her equipment in order and was ready to go in minutes. She had an excellent sense of humor and she probably had a hard time doing my make up because we were laughing so much and having such a good time! I felt like she was an old friend. Barbara arranged for a great group of stylists (Ky, Norma, Shaunda and Stephanie) to cover hair and make-up at my wedding on May 17, 2014. They were punctual, creative and were able to accommodate all of the requests from my bridesmaids.

Ky and Shaunda did my trial a few weeks before the wedding. They talked me through the entire process to get a feel for my style and desires for the perfect wedding look.

I would recommend this group to anyone - especially large groups that need to stay on a timeline. I had nine individuals to be styled by 12:30pm which was no small task. The crew started at 8am (actually a little before to set-up) and were non-stop until the entire group was ready to walk out the door.

I chose Bridal Artistry after interviewing a number of bridal hair and makeup services and the experience with them was wonderful. Barbara (the owner) was very friendly and she answered all my questions upfront in a timely manner. I felt the process and costs were laid out very clearly from the very beginning and they were very competitive compare to the other options on the market.

I was assigned to Mandy Hollinger for my hair and makeup. Working with Mandy has been a real delight. When it comes to hair and makeup she is definitely an ARTIST. She is extremely talented, very detailed oriented (which I loved), and very passionate about her work and her clients. We had first my hair trial and later we worked on my makeup together. During both trials I felt she was listening and paying attention to how I was envisioning myself on my wedding day. We experimented something unconventional for a bridal look, which turned out to be fantastic. In my everyday life I am not a “makeup friendly” person, but she was able to put together an impeccable look, apparently simple and elegant with an interesting touch of originality. She was able to create a look that was perfect for me focusing on highlighting my personal characteristics. I definitely did not feel just like a bride, I felt like THE BRIDE. The rest of the bridal party was really pleased with her service too. Everybody felt they got the perfect look based not only on their preferences, but also on their individual features.

I highly recommend Bridal Artistry for their services and for brides looking for a unique, tailored and special look, I strongly recommend asking for Mandy!

However, a few weeks before, I decided to make a few alterations; they were very accommodating and reassuring, and were able to provide their expert opinions. The day of, everything turned out wonderfully. Barbara especially was very flexible and responsive, and I’m so glad that I could count on her and Norma to make my look perfect. My mother decided the day of that she wanted to get her hair done, and Norma was flexible enough to stay a little longer than planned to include her. Thanks to Bridal Artistry for their wonderful work!

Barbara and Mandy were wonderful! I felt so beautiful, and my makeup and hair stayed together wonderfully all night (even after being outside in the winter wind, and dancing for hours). I really appreciated Barbara and Mandy's talent, professionalism, and personalities - they were so great with my group, especially with several ladies who were a bit reluctant to get their hair and makeup done. Thank you!

Suzanne (makeup) and Sonia (hair) both did amazing work!!! We were SO happy with everyone's hair and makeup. Everyone looked gorgeous and both the makeup and hair lasted through some pretty serious partying!

Both of these ladies (along with their assistants) made preparation for my wedding go smoothly and on-time. It was an absolutely perfect evening!

I absolutley loved KY and Barbara! These two were amazing. From the consultation to the day of the wedding was fabulous. KY was on time, I wasn't. I was running late all day that day. When I got in the chair, it was amazing. KY went right to work and had me finished by 4pm. KY came to you anywhere you needed her and she is amazing stylist. I can't thank them enough for making me feel the most beautiful!
