Wedding Photographer
Brett did our engagement photos at the Tides Inn and on our boat on the Rappahannock River and they were beautiful! We had so much fun with our water themed photoshoot and took the most incredible boat sunset pictures. Our wedding was at Commonwealth Club and I was so nervous for being the center of attention. Brett made me feel so comfortable, we had so much fun together the whole day! We got all of the shots we wanted and she did a really good job directing us on poses and facial expressions. The wedding photos turned out better than we could’ve ever imagined! -

Invaluable Memories!
Brett and her second shooter, Ty did an outstanding job of chronicling our magical day! Brett photographed our engagement, the rehearsal day and the wedding day. She makes it easy to be in front of the camera and captured precious memories for us. She is incredibly talented when it comes to staging photos, chasing perfect lighting and having a fun-loving personality (all while being on her feet for a LONG time on the wedding day!). Brett was very timely with the delivery of our gallery. She also worked in beautiful concert with our videographer (Yeattes Productions). Thank you for the invaluable memories, Brett and Ty! -

Hiring Brett as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She is not only incredibly talented (just look at her portfolio) but also a genuinely kind person. We were a COVID couple and had to postpone multiple times. Brett was incredibly understanding each time and made rescheduling seamless. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on the day, and we found her mixture of easygoingness and professionalism to be a perfect fit. She put my camera-shy husband, our families, and all of our guests at ease. Brett also delivered absolutely gorgeous photos of our day that we will treasure forever! Her eye for composition, framing devices, and candid moments is impeccable. I can't recommend her enough, so stop looking and hire her already! -

Perfect from start to finish!
Brett is one of those people that you just instantly feel comfortable around. Aside from that, her photographs are honestly some of the best I’ve ever seen. She came to our home (5 hours away) for our engagement session and our wedding day and simply became one of our people. She wasn’t just our photographer for the wedding day, she was one of our friends. One thing I thought was very special was that she knew our family and friends names. When it came time for family portraits, she rattled off their names like she’d known them her whole life, just from the list of names I gave her and her observation. She pays attention to little details and that really meant a lot to us. She is extremely responsive and helpful from the initial consultation to sending the final album, which we got back in record time! We could not be happier with our pictures. She did a truly amazing job capturing every detail of our day. -

Brett was absolutely wonderful! My fiance hired her to take photos during our proposal and they turned out SO GREAT! She was flexible with timing and were discreet. I didn't even notice her until afterwards! She was able to take some photos of us as well as some with my friends that came to celebrate with us. She even got us a sneak peek that same day!! Hands down, Brett was a great choice. We love her and will cherish these images forever! -

Brett shot one of my friends’ wedding, so when Maggie and I decided to elope, I knew we needed to see if Brett was available. It’s not often you specifically remember a vendor at a wedding, but Brett is just one of those people. So personable, fun, and easy to work with!
Maggie and I didn’t really have an exact plan for our elopement until the day before since we got married in a public place. Brett was very flexible in helping us decide on a location, was always quick to respond, listened to our ideas, and understood our unique needs during COVID. On the day of our wedding, she took charge without being overbearing, which was exactly what we (and our families) needed/wanted. She provided guidance on how to get the best lighting and photos, was very confident, and prepared. Brett worked well with every member of our wedding party and both our families commented on how courteous and professional she was. Less than three hours after our time ended with Brett, she even gave us a sneak peak of photos on her Instagram story, which was a complete surprise and greatly appreciated!
We would recommend Brett to any of my friends or family without any hesitation! Her photos will be a cherished part of our lives forever. -

Incredible Wedding Photographer
When my husband proposed I immediately knew who I wanted to photograph our wedding. Brett went above and beyond during the entire wedding process. From sharing vendors, designing the perfect timeline, and working around a busy work schedule to take incredible engagement photos. She was a huge part of our planning process answering a million questions and helping our wedding day go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was prompt with her timeline, professional, and most importantly fun. She made a day that can be filled with lots of stress so natural and perfect. She worked around the weather to make sure our photos did not suffer. It rained ALL day and not one photo suffers because of it. She captured every single moment of our wedding day from first looks, a ceremony inside, and the most incredible bride and groom portraits. Every photo reminds us of how incredible our wedding day. From taking my senior photos to photographing my wedding day, Brett has earned the title of our lifetime photographer! Ryan and I will cherish all of our photos forever! -

There aren't enough words to describe how much I love Brett! not only are her images totally stunning, she is so kind, easy to work with, and funny! I was in two weddings that Brett photographed (my twin sister's and my best friend's) before I got engaged, so when the time came to pick a photographer, the choice was obvious! Brett has a rare ability to capture sweet, sentimental moments. For all three of the weddings I have worked with her (including my own!) she has captured some amazingly special candid moments. She also makes portraits and bridal party photos feel very natural, so the photos turn out beautifully! I love Brett so much and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is flexible, dedicated to her couples, a total professional, a GENIUS at photography, and an all-around fun person. I LOVE BRETT!!! -

Brett could not have been any more wonderful to work with... from her fun personality to her attention to detail, she made my life so much easier during the craziness of wedding planning! She was quick to respond to any questions (no matter how small) and went above and beyond to make sure my fiance and I felt comfortable with every aspect- from engagement pictures to our first look. She even sent us an incredibly detailed booklet of her "tips" that was invaluable as we planned for our big day! Our wedding party and family even sung her praises! I would recommend Brett to all brides out there- do yourselves a favor and let her capture your big day! You won't be disappointed!! -

If I could, I would give 10 stars
To be blunt: wedding planning is ROUGH! And after all the planning, stressing, and DIY crafting, your big day flies by way too fast. Which is why I am eternally grateful that I hired Brett to take our wedding and engagement photos. Not only is Brett incredibly talented, she's the kind of person you instantly want to become BFFs with (but seriously, Brett - can we watch Bachelor together?!). Let's face it, unless you're a model or a wanna-be insta influencer, it's just plain awkward to get 100+ photos taken of you. Brett allowed us to be our goofy, quirky selves while photographing us. She laughed along with us, instructed us, and really made us feel comfortable (even in freezing cold weather!).
The morning after our wedding, we woke up to a gorgeous sneak peek of some of our wedding photos. I'll never forget my husband saying, "Have you seen the pictures Brett put up on Facebook yet? You're going to flip. We look good... like really good" - he was right! The sneak peek made me SO excited to get the rest of our photos back. The best part? WE RECEIVED OUR 900+ PHOTOS WHILE WE WERE STILL ON OUR HONEYMOON!!! Ya'll, that is RARE to find in a photographer! I had friends get married before us and not receive their photos back until months later. Not to mention, every single picture was absolutely gorgeous.
9 months later, I still get compliments on our wedding photography. Brett was able to capture our personalities, laughter, candid moments, and love beautifully. Also, our house is now a legit shrine of Brett's photos. She doesn't know this yet, but we're never going to let anyone else take our family photos... ever. :)
To the brides and grooms-to-be: Do yourself a favor and hire Brett. I promise you won't regret it. Her photography is truly worth every penny. -

Brett had photographed a wedding that I attended and I fell in the love with the photos when they came out. I followed her on Instagram immediately and when I got engaged I knew I had to have her! I reached out to her and set up a phone call since I do not live in the same place as she does, and I swear it was like we had known each other for years. Brett is so kind, funny and down to earth, totally relatable and SUPER organized. I felt at ease just talking to her about my plans as she suggested sample timelines for my big day right off the bat. She truly listens to what you want and makes you feel so comfortable. I booked her for my 2020 wedding and met her when she did our complimentary engagement shoot! Being nervous in front of the camera is a thing of the past, my fiancé and I love Brett and are obsessed with how our engagement photos came out. We cannot wait to have her photograph our wedding day! Can’t recommend Brett enough. Might I add that she is a wedding hashtag genius and now I love to get her opinion on most wedding decisions, she’s a true friend and a beautiful soul! Had no clue I would get this much from my wedding photographer. -

Brett is the absolute best!
Brett is beyond wonderful and amazing. She shot my best friend’s wedding two years before mine and I knew I wanted her to shoot this incredible memory. Brett is easy going and fun, so the photos turn out super natural. She only edits to enhance the original image, no drastic changes. Her eye for the perfect shot is impressive. My friends and family loved all the images and everyone complimented how engaged Brett and her second shooter were. While they were engaged and captured so many photos and fantastic memories, they were almost invisible while doing so. A true feat of you ask me. Love love love Brett as a person and her photography of course is phenomenal. 100% recommend her 10 times over for all your photography needs! -

My wife, Haley, and I highly recommend Brett for anyone looking for the best wedding photographer for their special day. Brett is amazing at what she does. We had the pleasure of working with her for our engagement photos and our wedding photos—and we loved ALL of them. I can't tell you the amount of time that we've had friends and family comment on our wedding photos and tell us that they are "the most beautiful wedding photos they've ever seen" :)
Also, our wedding was a destination wedding in Key West and she made it a breeze—she scoped out all the best locations ahead of time so we knew exactly what we were doing on the day of. Not to mention, she made Haley and I feel super comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.
To summarize, Brett is AWESOME! -

Distance kept us from enjoying an engagement session with Brett, but staying connected to her social media outlets during our year of engagement ensured including Brett in our vendor team was absolutely the right decision. All communication prior to our wedding weekend was prompt, encouraging, and enthusiastic. Her work is stunning, impressive, and unique. Brett’s presence during the wedding day was both calming and energetic at exactly the right times. She found a fantastic local second shooter through her creative community connections and they made an incredible team. Brett shared a sneak peak which arrived the day after our wedding and provided such an appreciated reminder of our special day. The organization of the Pixiestrem just makes my heart happy each time I log in to relive different moments of our wedding. Going into it, my husband and I were pretty uncomfortable having professional pictures taken. Not even 10 minutes into the session, Brett had us laughing and feeling comfortable. So, when it was time for our actual wedding pictures, we knew what to expect and it went so smoothly.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Brett. She makes the sessions fun while producing stunning photos. She also makes sure to capture all the details. I would highly recommend Brett to anyone looking for an excellent photographer! -

The afternoon with her flew by because it was filled with laughter and great conversation. It didn't take much for us to decide to book her for our NC wedding - the travel costs are worth the experience and quality of her photos! My husband and I are so happy we decided to hire Brett to do our wedding photography. Not only is she incredibly talented as a photographer and artist, she is easy to communicate with and did an amazing job making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed while she was taking photos. We had so much fun working with her!
She included an engagement session as part of our wedding photo package, and as outdoor enthusiasts, we asked her if she would be up for going to one of our favorite local parks. She was completely game and even hiked up a mountain with us to get some great sunset shots! We couldn't have been more happy with Brett's work, from her excellent coordination with us ahead of time, to the beautiful photos we received from her soon after our engagement session and wedding.
