We loved our experience at Brasstown Valley!! We got married on the waterfall lawn and had our reception in the ballroom, which was the perfect space for our 110 guests. The food was SO GOOD, 10/10 recomend the mac and cheese bar if you have the option. Savannah made our day run SO smoothly. Throughout the whole planning process she was extremely responsive and able to answer any questions we had. Day of she was exaclty what you want out of a coordinator- quiet, behind the scences, getting stuff done. A few of my bridesmaids complimented her too and said she was the nicest coordiantor they've met after being in a few weddings this year. The morning of our day big day was peaceful. The only note I have, and its more of a heads up than anything, is that there can be 2 weddings on the same day at Brasstown. The getting ready rooms for the brides are on the same hall, which can feel a little chaotic. That being said, if you get married at BVR I highly recommend renting cottages. My bridesmaids and I had one, the boys had their own and my family had one. Even though the cottages are withing walking distance of the lodge/venue, they really do feel secluded and peaceful and it was so nice to have that space to get ready in the morning of. Also becuase of there being the potential of 2 weddings on the same day, its possible the popular photopgraphy spots may be being used when you want them. My husband I did our first look in a different location than origianally planned, but I think it turned out even better than our first plan. It still felt private and secluded and felt like something out of a fairytale. My husband and I both wish we could re-live our day 100 times over again. It was perfect. -

I have tried many times to type a review but no words compared of how great the experience we had with this venue. Kristen was absolutely amazing. During all the worries and stress about Covid all the way until are wedding day she was always there for us. She answered questions my husband, mom, dad, and I had. Kristen is very patient and down to earth. My wedding was more than I imagined. They also went over and beyond to make my guest feel more safe at the venue. Also all the staff were very kind to our family and friends. To this day I receive compliments about the venue and the staff. Thank you for going over and beyond and making my wedding SO magical! -

Amazing, picture perfect wedding!
Savannah and the team at Brasstown Valley were the most amazing professionals to work with! They made our story book wedding come to life despite it being in the middle of a pandemic. Savannah literally goes through every possible scenario guiding you through the process and makes getting married the easiest thing you'll ever do! From the moment we first met to discuss the possibility of our wedding until we left after our honeymoon, every single need was met with excellence, professionalism and promptness. The entire staff is unbelievably helpful and it made for the perfect wedding. Having everything conveniently in one location made it easy for our family to gather, socialize and celebrate every minute of our wedding. The restaurant hosted our rehearsal dinner and the private dining room was a perfect location. Our wedding, held in the Creekside Pavilion, was the most magical venue ever - it was secluded and private and felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. Our guests loved being able to stay in either the cabins or the lodge and it made gathering easy because we were all conveniently located together. The ladies at the Spa took excellent care of me and did a fantastic job on my hair! And, after our wedding, we had a great time horse riding at the stables. Literally, Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa is the PERFECT place to host your wedding! The only disappointment I have is that the wedding is over...I want to go back and do it all again! :) -

Dream Come True
I met with Savannah when we were looking at different venues trying to decide where we wanted to have our wedding. I instantly felt like I had someone who wanted to know my vision and make our day exactly how we wanted. After our tour and having a talk about options, we booked with Brasstown Valley that day. We have been married for 3 weeks now and I honestly could not have been happier with Brasstown Valley or with Savannah. Not only was the day amazing but the venue itself made for some beautiful photos that we have started to get back! They have a recommended vendor list and it was very helpful. These people are familiar with the venue and are great as well!
Do yourself a favor and go check this venue out! You won’t be disappointed. Oh!! I almost forgot- the food was amazing! Like really, really good! -

My wedding at Brasstown was absolutely beautiful! The scenery was amazing, the resort was stunning, and the people there were so helpful. Savannah was an absolutely life saver and answered all of my questions and helped the day of go smoothly. I 100% recommend Brasstown!! My special day was perfect! -

After getting engaged, my fiance and I were looking for a venue that could give us a "destination wedding" feel, but not too far away from Atlanta where we live. Brasstown Valley was perfect! Our guests were all able to stay on property for the weekend and enjoy all of the festivities. Kris was very accommodating and easy to work with. The food was great and the views were incredible. I highly recommend this venue. -

Breathtaking view
My husband and I are from Florida but love the mountains. We weren't finding much that we loved in Florida, so my husband brought to my attention the city of Young Harris which he has visited many times throughout his childhood. The moment we walked onto the Sunset terrace we knew that this was the place that we were going to be married. The whole property is beautiful! We worked with Kristen Crabtree who was very professional and helpful the whole step of the way. I was planning from Florida which can be a bit more stressful but Kristen answered any questions and in a timely manner. My parents came with me for a visit and met with Kristen and she was so patient and understanding when it came to answering the questions my parents had, especially my mother :) We had the majority of our guests stay at the resort and in the cottages that they have on property as well. All of my bridesmaids stayed in one cottage and the groomsmen in another cottage. Each cottage has a parlor area that is very spacious with full kitchen, pull out couch, fire place and table. The bridesmaids and groomsmen got ready in the parlor area. It was perfect set up for our vendors like hair and makeup and we brought in our own food as well while we were getting ready. Our guests loved the cottages as well, it was great area to get together after the reception of throughout their visit. We had a lot of guests make a vacation out of it which was nice to have the extra time to visit with them, since the wedding day goes by in a blink of an eye.
On the day of our wedding we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather and all of our guests were just amazed how beautiful the view was and I even had some friends considering having their wedding there as well. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, it was more than perfect and something I will cherish for the rest of my life and I can't wait to get back there and visit again! -

The perfect place for my dream wedding!
Savannah and her team were amazing from the beginning to the end. There was some horrible weather the day of my wedding (yes, snow and rain in April) but they were able to still make everything special and memorable! -

Bonnie Sent on 07/05/2010Choosing Brasstown Valley Resort for my wedding was the best decision I could have made. I was extremely pleased with how everything went overall. I fell in love with the place when I first saw it and it really lived up to my expectations. Renee was incredible to work with and I couldn't have done it all without her help. The customer service is outstanding and my guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. Many guests told me it was the best wedding they've ever been to. My husband and I plan to visit each year for our anniversary. -

Great wedding experience
Brasstown was everything I wanted for our wedding. It had views, class, and AMAZING steak. Overall we had a great wedding experience, and I would 100% do it all again. The only negative experience we had was due to our assigned wedding coordinator. Although I thought she was very sweet, which makes me feel bad to complain, but she didn't seem to have been properly trained yet, and was so scattered throughout the whole process, that she added to a lot of the anxiety. I think she may have been new, because she was introduced as my new coordinator about a month into the process, so maybe that is why, but I kept having to tell her the things about my package that she should be telling me, including that my dinner was sit-down and not buffet, that a golf card was included, etc. My dad and best friend ended up running around all morning the day of my wedding making sure that everything was set up the way that I had requested. Still many of my requests were overlooked.. i.e. I requested multiple times that my desserts be presented on the same table as my cake-- instead they were in the back of the room so I don't think most guests even saw them. We were supposed to have chocolates and champagne in our honeymoon suite which was completely overlooked, and when we tried to order it once we got to our room, we were told there was no one who could bring it to us and we would have to pick up the chocolates at the desk when we checked out the next morning. Don't let this sway you though, overall it was an excellent experience and I enjoyed my coordinator. It's not her fault that they put her in charge of my entire wedding without proper training first. She should have at least had more assistance and involvement from my original and more experienced coordinator. Of all the minor inconveniences, there were 1,000 things that went right and were wonderful. It was beautiful, everyone was professional, the food was delicious, the room was nice, and I definitely would recommend Brasstown as a place to have your wedding. -

Perfect Day!
We had a perfect wedding weekend at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa. Kris and Savannah made sure that everything went smoothly and perfectly on our day. Food was excellent, service and responsiveness was great. They were very flexible in working with me to get exactly what I wanted. The Brasstown staff were absolutely amazing in making me and my family feel comfortable. There were a lot of moving parts with people coming from out of town and even arriving on different days and Brasstown staff handled it seamlessly. There was also a leak in our ceiling from a dishwasher upstairs and the maintenance man responded within a timely manner. When it was time for my wedding day, Stephanie Navekerly, and the setup crew, did a phenomenal job of calming my nerves and even making my guests filled welcome -

Scott Sent on 04/06/2013Our wedding at Brasstown was unforgettable! Every single staff member, from the bar tender to the wedding coordinator, was extremely helpful and friendly. I had multiple guests explain specific positive encounters they had with staff at Brasstown. They really offer a LOT of value for what you pay for. The wedding coordinator basically acts as a personal wedding planner and makes sure that everything goes perfectly. I had a few instances where the coordinator was a little difficult to get in touch with, but I do not see this as a huge problem as she made sure everything was perfect on our big day!
Obviously, you cannot beat the location of the resort. Brasstown is a little piece of heaven nestled in the north Georgia mountains.
I would highly recommend having a wedding at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa. There is no doubt your day will be PERFECT! -

I’m so glad I was able to get married at Brasstown! The environment is beautiful, the facilities are great, and we loved having all of our guests stay on the property so we could spend the weekend together. My only note is to book your room block and/or have your guests make reservation EARLY. Brasstown hosts other events and conferences so their rooms can book up quickly if they have something else going on that weekend. I worked with Sherry and she was very helpful throughout the planning process and hands-on the day of our wedding. Sherry took care of so many details from table linens, chargers, tables, chairs, helping other vendors set up, and helping our group book rooms, it took a lot of work off my shoulders. I highly recommend! -

Teresa was absolutely amazing and calm - just the type of person you need by your side on your wedding day! They went above and beyond for our wedding and we were not disappointed. -

Nicole Sent on 07/14/2014Overall, Brasstown is an amazing venue. You cannot find a more spectacular setting for an outdoor wedding. The food was fabulous and the staff was very friendly. That said, it isn't cheap!!! Additionally, we did have some issues with our on-site coordinator (called the Catering Sales & Service Manager at Brasstown). I was informed 3 weeks before my wedding (in an email, not phone call), after working with my coordinator for 8 months, that she would be leaving and was turning over my wedding to the other coordinator at Brasstown. As you can imagine, the transition was not perfectly smooth. Many small details were missed in translation and I was scrambling to update my new coordinator. Additionally, my new coordinator was less flexible than the first. As far as the day-of, my coordinator was much less present than I would have liked. I know they usually host multiple weddings in a weekend so she was probably quite busy, but I didn't see her once our ceremony ended and we had to direct all of our questions to the Catering Manager.
In summary, I was happy with my wedding at Brasstown and would do it all over again if given the chance. If you aren't hiring a wedding planner though, be prepared for a lot of untied loose ends and a slow response time from the on-site coordinator.
