Esme and her team were an absolute dream to work with. My partner Sam and I were immediately drawn to her warm energy and positivity. We were initially attracted into her holistic approach that includes meditations and reiki sessions to really ground ourselves as we moved through this journey of wedding planning. We knew we would need someone that could listen and be compassionate to our needs and really support us as we worked to create something a little outside of the ordinary wedding. She embraced our visionary approach to our wedding with eagerness and grace. She was not just a planner, but a partner in helping us create something that spoke from our authentic voice. She not only helped us go down unusual paths, but cheered us on as we chose bold colors, non-traditional designs, a colorful wedding dress and PIE! What ended up occurring was an expression of us and she helped bring our vision to life. Everyone throughout the night said how authentic and how “us” the wedding felt and I knew we were really successful when my Mom said we did a great job :) Thank you Esme for supporting us and guiding us. Esme Krahn, of Boda Maestra, was such a sweet, relatable, wedding planner/coordinator for our wedding. Her professionalism was top tier; she always maintained excellent communication, gave us reliable resources, and kept everything extremely organized! Esme and her team worked so meticulously to make sure no leaf was left unturned and that all our wildest dreams could be executed for our special day! We highly recommend this service for anyone who needs a helping hand with event planning! We loved our experience and wouldn't have been able to get it all done without Boda Maestra. -

Best decision ever!
If you're looking for someone who will bring your vision to life, don't bother looking any further, you have found the right company! The work by Esme and her team was amazing from beginning until the end. During our first call with Esme, we knew instantly she was the right person for the job. Her love, dedication and patience was all the assurance we needed to sign with her. Let me just say, it was one of the best decisions we made early on because it was the organization we needed to get through the process. Emse assisted us along the way and made sure we were on top of all the planning deadlines. The days leading up to the wedding, she was right there for all questions and concerns - even to the very night before the wedding. She was always MORE than accommodating to answering our questions at any time and guiding us in the right direction when we needed assistance with making decisions with vendors.
She was never once pushy and we never felt like she did not have our best interest at heart. If anything, after every single call we felt that she was so accommodating, so patient and so pleasant to work with. I would do it all over again with Esme!
During the wedding, everything could not have gone anymore smoother than it did. Esme and her team work flawlessly with all other vendors, as well. It seemed like it was all one team working together (that was said by majority of our guests). From the moment she and her team arrived, they were so accommodating and made sure everything was on schedule. During the wedding, there were a few moments where things had to be shifted either earlier or later and she did it seamlessly. Nobody knew we were off schedule, everything went so well as if it was planned that way!
I cannot thank Esme and her team enough. She truly is a beautiful person inside and out and I am SO HAPPY we decided to trust her with our big day. Absolutely no regrets and I genuinely cannot think of one thing where I can say "if there is one thing I would change, it would be X." I wouldn't change a thing - it was our real life, magical fairytale day! -

Amazing and made all my wedding dreams come true, even when it wasn’t easy!
Esme did a fabulous job planning my wedding! She took time to understand my vision and communicated every step of the way. Her vast experience and relationships with vendors helped immensely. Esme designed unique floral arrangements and signage that turned out amazing and we got lots of compliments on the details. I am so grateful for Esme’s team and all their hard work throughout the process. I would highly recommend them!

Working with Esme was one of the best and most important decisions we made for our wedding! I cannot emphasize enough how much we loved working with Esme (and her team!) and how much she really made the whole event and day as wonderful as possible. I am a planner and organizer by nature, but hiring Esme brought not only a trusted partner into my thoughts and own plans, but a very professional, well connected, seasoned wedding pro who made sure nothing was left unthought of, and that everything was taken care of, while shielding us from the stress and burden of coordinating such an important event with several vendors and tons of details! Esme’s approach really showed us how smooth, well thought of, and stress free this experience could be, and I felt completely well guided and safe with Esme at the wheel. Her approach also strikes a great balance of getting all the details covered without making it seem overwhelming. The amount of meetings, the communication style etc.. was never too much or too little. It also helped that Esme is really kind, personable, and receptive of our vision and ideas and was able to take our choppy thoughts and create a cohesive, beautiful day that we envisioned. She also went above and beyond during the whole process and also (unknown to us at the time!) made a quick, slick save on the wedding day when something didn’t show up from one of our vendors. She went out of her way to personally solve the issue before we even had the chance to notice, and that’s just another example of being in good hands with Esme and her ensuring that our day was stress free and just an incredible day for us to soak in all the love, beauty and happiness of the big day. We look back on our wedding day, and are so happy with how everything turned out, it was our dream wedding, and we are so thankful to Esme for that. Oh! Also, Esme’s team is beyond professional, caring, sharp and organized… they all are so incredibly helpful and friendly and all work together so well. Would recommend to anyone! -

Esme and her team were so helpful for the wedding planning process. Our wedding party loved the timeline and constant communication she provided. Even with an event background, her team brings a different level of expertise that only comes with experience. The week leading up to our wedding there was heat wave, she came up with ideas for umbrellas. Esme was very responsive the process and created a holistic approach on how to not be stressed throughout the wedding. The day of, there are always some hiccups, but she was able to address and handle everything. Even at the end, everything was packed up properly and her team was amazing! Definitely choose Esme and her team to plan your dream wedding! -

Planning a wedding without the help of a good wedding planner is the worst thing anyone can do to themselves, don’t do that to you!! Esme is so experienced and truly great at what she does. She amazed us at every step being on top of every single detail (things I’d never thought of) shaping our vision and helping us decide what was best for us.
She works hard to understand your vision and with her creativity and talents not only makes it a reality, but also amazingly complete!
Her impeccable taste, astounding organization and communication skills, made working alongside her, a wonderful experience!
We can’t wait to have the opportunity to work with her again; she sure made things flow smoothly and beautifully not only for us, the bride and groom and our wedding guests, but also, for all the vendors that took part of our wedding. We cannot recommend Boda Maestra enough!

Esme and her team were fantastic!! Every step of the way they made sure that all the details were triple checked and that the day of went as smooth as possible. I had rented all my floral decor and Esme didn’t even blink when I asked if her team would be able to set that up for me, and they executed it flawlessly! Esme even helped me bustle my dress and make sure all my belongings and my bridal party belongings made it home safely at the end of the night. We are so grateful for their work!! -

Creative, Understanding and Great Communication
For my wedding I was looking for a wedding planner that understood the latin culture. I wanted to have a Loteria theme wedding that combined the culture of my parent's native country and my husband's parent's native country. I came across BodaMaestra through a social media post, I became curious and checked out BodaMaestra's main website. As I was scrolling on the page I fell in love with seeing pictures of other couples weddings. The decor for each wedding looked so beautiful! That's when I knew I should contact Esme and see if she was available for my wedding date. Having Esme has our wedding planner was an amazing experience! I explained to her what theme I wanted for our wedding, and she created design presentation that demonstrated ideas for centerpieces, floral design , backdrop recommendation. As I looked at the design presentation I was amazed with her creativity. She made the wedding planning process go smoothly, she was great at communicating with me and also very understanding with budget goals. My wedding day went perfect, my guests complimented on how organized our wedding was, how beautiful the flowers were and loved the centerpieces we had! Esme Delivers Unforgettable Weddings!!!
Esmeralda was fantastic to work with! She truly understood what needed to be done at the right moment. She was able to keep track of all the wedding details and decisions that needed to be made to make all the important moments on our big day perfect! She was prepared to make our wedding fantastic from the beginning and knew exactly what needed to be done. She coordinated and had detailed schedules for our rehearsal and wedding day which made everything run extremely smooth! She prepared us with the right information and questions before our vendors even requested the info to ensure we had enough time to think about what we wanted and did not feel rushed at the last minute.
Esme responded to our lengthy emails and many questions promptly and she made it very easy to coordinate phone calls and in person meetings. She maintained contact with all our vendors and made sure everyone knew our wedding details, timelines, and special events such as our vibora de la mar tradition. She was very patient when we could not make decisions, and she gave us very helpful advice that made the wedding planning process less stressful.
We hired Esme because she was highly recommended, and we felt that she could truly understand our backgrounds and the blend of our values and cultures. We were extremely happy with her work! From the first time we met, we trusted her with our wedding and she created a wedding experience that was beyond anything we could have imagined! It was unforgettable!.
We wanted a simple and elegant wedding that represented our values and traditions, and she was able to make it happen! She has many great vendor contacts, especially in the Latino community, and found the perfect vendors for us, including the phenomenal bilingual emcee and our hojarascas (a Mexican wedding cookie) caterer. She had never worked with our venue (48 Fields Farm) and caterer (Old Blue BBQ), but you would have never known. Everything went so smoothly on our wedding day thanks to her. She was able to take care of all the details, and made our job very easy!
Esme is a true professional. She went above and beyond to help create a fantastic floral design, and we highly recommend letting Esme design your floral arrangements. During the wedding, Esme worked tirelessly behind the scenes ensuring all the details were taken care of and that everything was running smoothly. Not a single detail during the entire wedding experience was lost on her!
Esme created a beautiful wedding experience for us, and we could not think of anything we would change! Esme put her whole heart into our wedding experience, and the results were truly amazing. We highly recommended Esme and Bodamaestra without any reservations!

We connected with Esme right away and it was really easy to work with her and she was very communicative with us. I'm very detail oriented person and having Esme and her team in charge the day of the wedding, I was felt at ease and was not stressing over those small details because I knew Esme had it all under control! Diane Sent on 01/09/2018We didn't think we would need a planner for my daughter's wedding at Morais Vineyard and Winery in Bealeton, Virginia. However, the venue required one, and we quickly found Esme to be invaluable. She helped run interference with vendors, kept us on our timeline, put up with my somewhat specific decor plans and saved the day when, six weeks out, we went from "we'll do the flowers" to "we can't possibly do the flowers." (Her arrangements and bouquets were stunning.) Try to schedule your pre-wedding walk-through when Esme can personally attend (she's obviously booked most Saturdays) to take advantage of her good ideas. She kept the pre-wedding prep, ceremony and reception running like clockwork and at the end of the night very quickly had everything boxed up and ready for loading into our vehicles. That alone would have made her services worth every penny. We got to move on to a post-party instead of spending hours on tear down. Ours was a destination wedding -- the bride and groom were temporarily living nearby and none of the rest of us were from the area. Esme's recommendations and contacts made everything go smoothly in spite of that.

Emmy Sent on 07/14/2014My husband and I hired Esme as a day of coordinator for our June wedding and were very fortunate that we found her as we were expecting many relatives from Mexico and needed someone who was bilingual. Esme was overall very professional, organized, responsible and great at multitasking. She was great at problem solving as well, for our rehearsal for example the church coordinator never showed up, but Esme was quick to take over and improvise. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a coordinator/planner, she really made our special day enjoyable as we never had to worry about anything not going the way we planned, my husband and I never even had to check the time! Esme was always there when we needed her and on point with everything we asked for. She really was the perfect coordinator for us!
