Gwen and her team did a phenomenal job with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. As someone who doesn't typically wear much makeup, Gwen worked with me to create a more natural look that I felt comfortable with, and that looked absolutely stunning! Christine took my hair ideas and created the perfect look for my hair type. I felt beautiful all evening.
The Blush518 team took the stress out of this aspect of wedding planning- from the preview to the morning of, they all did a great job, were professional from the start, and made it fun and enjoyable for the entire bridal party. I would recommend Blush518 to any bride looking for a thoughtful and talented team! -

Gwen and her team are amazing!! I've known Gwen personally for over 10 years, and she was one of the first vendors I knew I HAD to have for my wedding day; we were even flexible with picking a wedding date so the Blush518 Team would be available! My trial was great, we talked about different looks and changes that day and the next after a wear test. Come wedding day, the vibes were amazing, the team was so efficient with my 7 Bridesmaids, MOB, MOG & Bride! As the title says, I truly never felt more beautiful on my wedding day and my hair and makeup didn't need a single touch-up all night besides reapplying lipstick. You're doing yourself a disservice by not booking the Blush518 team!!!! -

Gwen and her team are the best!! Everyone in my wedding party felt amazingly beautiful on my wedding day! Gwen knocked it out of the park on my hair and makeup and made me feel amazing! Gwen and the Blush518 ladies are the absolute best! Gwen traveled all the way to Cooperstown and spent our entire wedding weekend with us, making me feel like royalty and being by my side as both a professional and friend. Gwen did my hair and makeup for our Rehearsal Dinner and when I looked in the mirror, I was blown away. She raised every level of every detail, I never knew I could look like that! As a bride in her 40s, she gave me the dream of looking my absolute best on my wedding day and put so much kindness and care in getting me ready and into every touch-up. Even with a gown and hair change, she made the whole process seamless and magical. She LOVES what she does and she’s the absolute BEST at it, and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else by my side. Christine and Lisa did my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup, some of my girls never really dolling up before, and they all looked like supermodels! I could not have been happier and these amazing ladies made our whole bridal party shine. Our guests were also able to take advantage of some of Blush518’s services on site and raved about their up-do’s and eyelashes, and looked absolutely beautiful. It was so much fun for them to join in the day! The showstopper of the whole wedding, however, was my mom, a beautiful woman in her early 80’s, who’s stunning features were elevated and blown up by Lisa. She was the absolute star of the wedding and never looked (younger!) and more gorgeous. It made my heart soar! Thank you Gwen and Blush518 ladies - you went above and beyond in every way and were one of the very best parts of our wedding, and we can never thank you enough ❤️ -

My husband and I got married 6/26/21 and Gwen and her team made me feel absolutely fabulous on my special day! I am so so grateful to have had Blush518 help my 7 bridesmaids, my mom, my future mother in law and I get ready the morning of the wedding. Gwen made this amazing (color coded) schedule and kept everything running smoothly. Even after a full 12 hour day, with 100% humidity… We all still looked great at the end of the night. I highly recommend Gwen and her team!!! -

Gwen and her team are absolutely fabulous! They were so accommodating when we had to change plans and locations due to having to postpone our big ceremony.
Lisa and Christine were so friendly and fun to work with. They took my ideas of what I wanted and made it a reality. I felt so pretty walking out to my special day. The attention to detail resulted in a flawless and stunning look. My husband could not stop saying how beautiful I looked and I really thank Blush518 for making it happen.

I can't say enough about Gwen and Blush 518! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I owe it all to Gwen. She is the sweetest person and from the moment I spoke with her on the phone I new she was the perfect person for me. My trial was amazing, she was so nice and really understood what I wanted. If you want the best hair and make-up on your wedding day, look no further! Not only is Gwen and her team so much fun, they do the most amazing job. I was in my friends wedding who had hired Blush518 and immediately knew I needed her too. To my luck, Gwen was free the date of my wedding and I sent in a deposit the very next day!
Gwen is great with scheduling, and really outlines what the day will look like. I loved having all the details ahead of time and timing for the day. When my photographer timidly asked who I had for hair and makeup (knowing many run over), he was thrilled and had assumed he had recommended her :-) -

Gwen and her team were absolutely amazing! Her keen eye enhanced my natural beauty, she listened to my thoughts on how I wanted to look for my big day and made me look flawless. Gwen and her team were absolutely amazing. Gwen remedied what was initially a stressful situation into a flawless (literally!) and easy going day. They were even able to squeeze in a few extra hair/makeup (flower girls) and have everyone ready to go on time, and looking gorgeous! Gwen was attentive to minor changes that I wanted after the trial, listening to every little detail and making my vision come to life. Everyone’s hair and makeup looked perfect even after lots of dancing and a hot day. I can’t thank them enough!! -

My friends and family and I all had such a good time with Gwen and her team! They turned what could have been a stressful situation into no big deal (my original trail was done with Amy, but she had an emergency the day of the wedding). They handled my disorganized group very well, even though some of the girls weren't on schedule they managed to get everyone done on time. My makeup and hair turned out better than I had even expected and stayed put throughout the pics and ceremony, even through several (happy) tearful moments. I can't thank them enough for putting me at ease and making everything smooth and perfect! -

Emily Sent on 02/20/2018If I could give Blush518 10 stars, I would! My love story with Gwen and Amy started a few years ago when I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. This was my 4th time as a bridesmaid, but only the first time I was actually happy with my hair and makeup! In previous weddings bridesmaids were passed through an assembly line, which resulted in everyone looking mediocre and rushed, but Blush518 is so very different. Gwen and Amy (and their team) take their time with each attendant and make sure your hair and makeup is EXACTLY what you were expecting. It helps that they are so knowledgeable about the latest trends and are genuinely excited about making your vision come to life.
Gwen is now my go-to for hair cuts (as well as my sister and my mother's hair cuts!), and was also the glam squad for my sister's wedding. I tried to pick a weekend Gwen was available for my own wedding (that is how much I love Blush518!!!), but unfortunately she was on vacation. Luckily Amy was available and was WONDERFUL.
Blush518 offers a wide variety of services for your big day - makeup, air brush makeup, up-dos, down styles, blow outs, eye lashes, etc. They are fun to hang out with, keep you stress free, LISTEN to what you are looking for, and aren't afraid to change something if you are unsure. I would recommend them over and and over and over again! -

Gwen and the team (Amy and Lisa!) did the hair and makeup for myself, the bridesmaids, and a few other participants in the wedding including the moms. Gwen listened to all my imaginings for how I wanted to look and brought them all to life. She's a perfectionist and wasn't content till my hair and makeup were both perfect. I looked exactly like how I had dreamed. My husband, who has never shed a tear in front of me, started to cry when he saw me. Gwen and the team got along fabulously with the group and we were all laughing and joking while listening to music and drinking mimosas (the bridal party, not Blush518!). My SIL had not wanted her makeup done but upon seeing how stunning everyone looked, decided last minute to do it and Amy made sure to fit her in. My mother was incredibly nervous about getting her hair done but Gwen eased her fears and my mom was absolutely delighted with her styling.
Gwen won't just make you look like a vision out of a fairy tale, she will also bring warmth and fun to the getting ready process. -

She was great about listening to what I wanted, flexible when I wanted to change things, and reassuring when I had (at least one) bridal freak-out. Both during my trial and on my wedding day, Amy asked my opinion on subtle details of my style, and I really appreciated that she involved me at that level. I also loved her technique-- my hair stayed styled through the next morning, but I could barely feel the bobby pins. During our wedding ceremony (which was outdoors), the wind was blowing so strongly that I thought my veil was going to be pulled from my head. I was convinced that by the time I made it back up the aisle, my hair would be ruined. However, when the ceremony was over, I was surprised that not only my own hair, but my bridesmaids' hair as well were all still perfect. Amy and Blush518 are incredible! -
Courtney Sent on 10/01/2017I hired Amy and Gwen to help with hair and makeup for my big day and they were amazing. I live in Boulder, CO and was having my wedding in VT, so I was never able to do an in-person consultation or trial. Needless to say, I was a little nervous day-of, but the team helped to calm my nerves and they did a great job with both hair and makeup - I received compliments all day/night long. The team was very professional, they showed up on time and brought a giant slew of makeup, hair things, and everything in between. They were also AMAZING when it was revealed hours before the ceremony that my favorite lipstick was lost and I was without my color - they not only helped to match the tone, but they gave me the lipstick to use for the rest of the night. My only slight criticisms were that they left before I went down the aisle (I was told they would stay until I was literally walking down the aisle) and I felt my makeup was too heavy. BUT I rarely wear makeup so anything more than eyeliner to me is a lot- I honestly loved what they did and was assured by the proof in the photos. I'm sure many brides have a similar first reaction (and Amy took it very well and helped to accommodate and make sure I was completely happy before she packed up).
Months/days leading up to the event, Amy was very responsive with both email and phone. I knew I was in good hands when we first spoke. The prices were also very reasonable and payment was easy. I would very much recommend them for your next occasion and know that you will not leave disappointed. -

With so many options for hair and makeup, I knew I wanted to go with someone local and that had worked with a trusted friend. Luckily, my sister and MOH was in a wedding last year where they handled beauty services, and she had nothing but positive things to say about the experience. Once I heard they were available my wedding weekend, I jumped on booking Amy and Gwen!
As someone that doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup (or do a lot with my hair on a day-to-day basis), they captured my style perfectly and made a gorgeous look for my big day. Even with slight tweaks from my trial with Amy to my actual wedding day with Gwen, everything came together beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with my hair and makeup! The ladies are so personable and fun to work with, and with such great experience in beauty, there’s no doubt in trusting all their recommendations as they style you.
Everyone at my wedding was in awe of me and my bridesmaids (and mothers, of course) look for the big day! It felt amazing to be so made up and receive so many compliments thanks to the amazing work of the Blush 518 team. I would 100% recommend Amy and Gwen to brides if they want to have a stress-free hair and makeup experience. Cannot wait to have some photos to share!
