I can't say enough good things about Blush and Bangs! Blush and Bangs helped me get ready for my engagement shoot! I loved the way my hair and makeup turned out! The team was very responsive and supportive before and after the engagement shoot! They helped me brain storm my vision and answered any and all questions I had. I worked specifically with Suzy who was incredibly kind and flexible. She made me feel so special and I am so thankful for her help! I look forward to using Blush and Bangs for my wedding day as they will help myself and my beautiful bridal party get ready! -

If you want a wonderful lady to bring your hair vision dreams to life, you must go with Suzy of Blush and Bangs bridal hair and makeup styling.
She was so friendly and easy to work with from the very start. Her prices were very reasonable compared to all other options in my area, especially having much different schedule needs than most.
We had a Tuesday wedding and had to start getting ready by 430AM, and she was so prompt, arriving in style herself, which I was very impressed with.
We had a trial session prior and worked out the kinks, and the day of was so easy and my hair style was flawless.
She brought a sense of peace on my wedding day and I appreciated how well she worked with myself, as well as my bridesmaids.
Make sure to use Suzy for your Wedding and she will not disappoint you.
She made my Wedding Hair Dreams Come True! My Husband was blown away! -

Absolutely loved their services from the hair makeup trial to the day of the wedding! I had Sebastian and Paige. They were such an amazing team. Very talented. Believe me on the day I wanted to change my hair up a bit and was not sure how. Paige new exactly what touches to add to my hair. I felt like a princess! The makeup was fresh and natural!!! The owner Suzy is super friendly and accommodating. She took many calls and texts. Say yes to this team!! You will not be disappointed. My makeup lasted the whole 24 hours! -

Having been a bridesmaid many, many times and experiencing the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to professional makeup, I cannot say ENOUGH amazing things about the Blush and Bangs team. Megan was lovely to work with when it came to scheduling, determining pricing, etc. - and Sammie and Page did some of the most beautiful hair and makeup I've ever seen. I could not have been happier with how my bridal hair and makeup came out (and received SO many compliments), and my bridesmaids couldn't stop talking about how beautiful they felt, and how Sammie and Page nailed exactly what they asked for. My wedding was at a bit of a tricky venue floorplan-wise and Sammie and Page took it in stride - making the space they had work, and doing so with such great attitudes. I'd recommend Blush and Bangs to anyone! -

Absolutely one of our best vendors! We just got our pictures from our photographer and I can't believe how beautiful this team made us look. They were beyond professional and really just kind people. They were on time and kept to the schedule working with all different kinds of skin types and hair types. I was so impressed how they were able to answer mine and all of my bridesmaids needs. I just can't get over the quality of their work! You will not be disappointed if you hire them. Also, leading up to the day, Megan was great with scheduling, communication and being flexible! -

Made Me Feel Like A Beautiful Bride.
Megan and her team of makeup and hair professionals are AWESOME! Communicating was easy, friendly, and through email. Megan was so accommodating and went above and beyond to meet my crazy early needs. My wedding was in Goleta, CA and the ceremony started at noon, and I had a first look that started at 10am, with photos to follow. Megan and her artists came to my hotel bright and early at 4am, which for that team of super girls was VERY early!
I was able to get into my dress on schedule and still take lots of pictures prior with my bridesmaids and even more in my dress before leaving my hotel. The artists worked quickly and had the best attitudes considering how early their day had started. The price and quotes I paid for the services that were provided were perfect for my budget and the budget of my bridesmaids. I have nothing but positive and happy things to say about Blush and Bangs!
Initially, after I filled out a questionnaire, Megan had paired me with Sammie, for my hair and makeup trial. After my appointment, I booked her instantly. Sammie not only nailed above and beyond what I was envisioning for my hair and makeup, but she did it based off of very little information. I didn't necessarily do my homework, I was a bride that didn't know a lot going into wedding planning, and my makeup routine is very plain. I had a rough idea of what I wanted things to look like, but unsure of how I wanted them on myself. Sammie's fun personality and expertise made for an easy-going consultation, and I felt the best I've ever felt and looked the best I've ever looked in my life. Needless to say she brought this same energy, but amped even higher on the morning of my wedding and even checked in throughout the morning to see how my nerves were and gave me tips on how to maintain my makeup during the reception.
I am so happy and more than grateful that I found Blush and Bangs!! I recommend Megan and her team of artists for any and all events that you need to look your absolute best and feel your absolute prettiest :) ! -

Working with Megan, the owner, and Julie, my hair and makeup person, was a joy. I'd had a bad hair and makeup trial before meeting Julie, and am so glad I chose to go with a new person. I received many compliments on my hair and make up. Julie did a great job with my sister and my 6-year old niece, who was very nervous about her flower girl duties. -

Lydia Sent on 06/19/2018Megan & Suzie were a dream to work with. I felt totally comfortable with them, and we were even laughing and being silly together while they were doing my hair and makeup. It made things so much more fun and relaxed! They made my bridal vision come true, and I got so many compliments on how stunning I looked.
During the trial, the fake eyelashes were really uncomfortable even after the adjustment period, but Megan promised that I would instantly feel better with a thinner band. I didn't try the thinner band until the wedding day, but that did the trick, and it really made my eyelashes POP.
My wedding updo wasn't exactly the same as it was during the trial, but it was even better. Suzie is a whiz at hair design, and it wasn't really an updo so much as a beautiful hair sculpture.
Thank you Megan & Suzie for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! -

Kirsten Sent on 05/28/2018Megan was super helpful when I was looking to book hair and make-up for my wedding! She was quick to respond and the prices can't be beat! I only say that since I know weddings can get expensive!!! Julie and her assistant did an amazing job on everyone's hair! And of course I loved my hair as well. At the last minute I requested to use my own makeup and tools and Julie was able to work her magic with anything! I would have been at a loss since I don't normally wear makeup myself and have no clue on how to apply things properly but she was able to capture the natural look I was going for with out making me look like a clown (enter in past memories of prom night...). They arrived on time, ready to go and everyone was done ahead of schedule which gave me one less thing to stress about on the big day. Great job, thanks so much!

Megan went out of her way to make sure that my hair and makeup were exactly as I wanted day-of following a few concerns at my trial. And, due to her diligence, everything was perfect on the day of my wedding.
Both women were professional, fun to be around, and patient with the chaos surrounding them in the bridal sweet.
I would 100% work with Megan again given the opportunity. -

Katie Sent on 12/10/2017Megan and her amazing assistant did the makeup for my wedding. The trial with Megan put all my fears to rest. She was able to pull out the vision I couldn't quite articulate, and polished it. Every step along the way, she asked my input.
Day of, she was wonderful!! She remembered every little detail we went over and it was a perfect recreation of our trial. Plus a little extra pizzaz that comes from already knowing the end result before you begin. I was super picky, and super thrilled.
She also was able to work with my bridal party and the moms, making them feel beautiful and customized their looks. -

She made sure I was comfortable every step of the way, and really made me feel beautiful even before my face was on! She is professional, but at the same time, can be very conversational which was great for me - I was able to talk to her about anything and it made the time go by quickly!
All in all, her attitude and her work are on point. She's talented and a good person. Worth every penny, seriously! -

Awful wedding day hair :/
I'll start with the good-I had great communications with Megan in scheduling the trial and wedding day make-up. Julie the MUA was very sweet and nice. Also my Mothers hair and make-up looked amazing. However I was deeply unhappy and disappointed with my wedding day look in particular my hair. I've attached pictures of my trial for all to see here. I asked on my wedding day to have the curls start higher up my head and be a bit more dramatic than in the trial, instead my hair looked a frizzy mess on the day, my bangs weren't styled properly, the curls didn't even hold long enough for me to walk the aisle. There wasn't nearly enough product put in my hair. It would have helped a lot if my hair had been styled when wet but instead they require you to have dry hair. Honestly there was little difference between how my hair looks when I get out the shower on a regular day, don't do anything to it and let it dry naturally, which is definitely not the look I wanted on my wedding day. Regarding the make-up it wasn't flattering to my eyes making them appear very small. The lashes looked unnatural. In our communications I specifically went with Blush n Bangs because I wanted individual lashes instead I got strip lashes that looked unnatural.
The cost of services were $50 booking fee + $25 travel fee plus $495 for the trial and wedding day make-up. I rated the value low because I have frequently had my hair and make-up done in LA paid at least half the price and been very happy with the results. I previously posted this review and Megan contacted me offering to refund me $250 if I could improve the review but I'd rather share my honest review and bad experience. -

Booked Blush & Bangs in 2019 for a May 2020 wedding - then COVID happened. They worked with me to postpone to the new dates, and throughout the entire process I asked if my initial artist that I had a trial with was going to be available. They said yes.
I then find out two weeks out from my wedding that my artist is no longer with the company, and that due to my new artist being out of town (and NOT FLYING IN UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE MY WEDDING) that I would not get a new trial. Unacceptable.
After pushing for a back up plan in case the artist's flight was cancelled, the owner came back to me and said that Sammie the artist changed her flight and was able to fly in early to give me a trial at 4pm the night of our rehearsal dinner. She also said she would be including the new trial on the house as the artist initially booked had left.
The artist (Sammie) was amazing - me and my two girls LOVED her. Would highly recommend!
Unfortunately, I then got an email last night (about 4 days after my wedding) with an invoice for the new trial. She even tossed in a $50 discount. I'm sorry, WHAT? I quoted the email where she offered to throw it in and she came back basically saying "oops, I forgot.."
Luckily she waived it again... but then the final straw was when she responded again saying that I didn't need to be RUDE on my email + that she's only human.
Honestly, I understand. We're all human and make mistakes. But you're a business owner and the fact that you had the nerve to call your client rude after I dealt with you throughout all the changes is mind boggling. Without any change in business practices, I would NOT recommend.
