We cannot say enough good things about The Bluewater Kings Band! From the very beginning, Owen was incredible to work with. He was organized, responsive, and truly listened to us, which made the entire process so easy. On the wedding day, the band and MCing were incredible. They read the dance floor perfectly, adjusted to the energy of the room, and kept everyone dancing all night long. We received SO many compliments from our guests about how amazing they sounded. Their vocals, versatility, and musical talent were truly impressive. We also had a unique grand march request, and the band absolutely nailed it. They understood exactly what we wanted and executed it flawlessly. If you're considering adding the brass section, DO IT! They were absolutely rocking and took the performance to another level. Overall, the Bluewater Kings Band is highly professional and exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was truly unforgettable and we could not recommend them more! -

The Perfect Live Band for Corporate Events!
We had an amazing experience working with Bluewater Kings Band for CENTURY 21 Circle’s Circle of Excellence awards events. We hired them for two back-to-back corporate events, and they were absolutely incredible both nights.
This was my first time booking a live band for a corporate event, and Taylor made the entire process seamless from start to finish. He was organized, responsive, flexible, and incredibly helpful as we worked through the event flow, timing, setup, and overall vision.
The band brought such amazing energy to both evenings and truly elevated the atmosphere of each event. We received glowing feedback from our guests about the music, performance, and overall experience they helped create.
What stood out most was how professional and easy they were to work with throughout the entire process. Taylor and the team understood how to bring a fun, high-energy experience while still keeping everything polished, smooth, and appropriate for a corporate awards setting.
I would highly recommend Bluewater Kings Band to any company or organization looking for a talented, professional, and high-energy live music experience. We’re so grateful we had the opportunity to work with them and would absolutely love to work with them again in the future! -

If I had to choose only one vendor for my wedding, it would 110% be Bluewater Kings Band. They absolutely made our wedding day! From the start, they were extremely organized and communicative. They ensured every little detail was checked and prepared. During the day of, they were so well organized with their set up and so friendly. We had them do our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and they blew me away at every event. The ceremony pianist played so beautifully and smooth. The cocktail hour trio was so fun and a perfect way for our guests to enjoy music over some drinks. During our dinner service, the band MCed and helped with all the chaos of the night. And last but certainly not least, the reception band (7 piece band) was SO fantastic. I think at one point every single guest was dancing. Curtis was our main contact and our saxophone player. He was one of the best parts of our day. I actually had so many guests complimenting the saxophone player still a few weeks after the wedding. He went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic day. Needless to say, I highly recommend Bluewater Kings! -

BEST wedding band for our New Year's Eve Wedding: The Bluewater Kings
The Bluewater Kings elevated our New Year’s Eve wedding and did exactly what we hoped for—they kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Molly made the entire process seamless. We were able to share lists of songs we wanted and didn’t want played, and the band even learned the specific songs we requested and performed them at the perfect moments.
We’re still getting compliments from family, friends, and even our parents’ friends about how incredible the band was. They brought amazing energy all night, played requests from guests, and made the celebration so much fun for everyone.
When cocktail hour ran a little long and we had to speed up speeches, the band did a fantastic job emceeing and guiding everything along naturally and smoothly. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better dance floor or a better experience on our wedding day. -

Taylor Mallory and the team at BWK made our experience SO easy! We're a venue who hired them for an internal event and I can't stress enough how seamless our experience was. Every song was played with flawless precision and an effortless style that kept the dance floor packed from start to finish. What truly touched our hearts, however, was their setlist. Best wedding band ever- you cannot go wrong. I chose BWK after hearing them play at a couple friends' weddings- me and my now husband realized that our favorite 3 weddings we had been to together had one thing in common: Bluewater Kings Band. Booking them was an easy process and then pretty hands off until closer to the actual date, which was really nice because you have so many things to think about in the interim. I was nervous about the phone call with Shai a couple of weeks out, because I felt really behind when it came to music and selections, but Shai made me feel totally at ease and jotted down notes of my vague likes and dislikes and reassured me she would take it from there. As I made important dance song selections, she was really easy to email with and I even asked if they could cut out the middle of a song for me and splice it together for my DJed first dance song and they made it happen. Bluewater Kings made our wedding what it was and it was pretty perfect. From the beginning by playing some music as guests walked in to find their seat, the MCing, Djing our first dance songs, to each and every song choice on the dance floor: they just nail it and set the tone for your event. They bring the energy and it is impossible for your guests to not be up dancing. They listened to our likes and dislikes and performed a better set list than I could have ever come up with myself. The icing on the cake was when they played a Taylor Swift song from her new album that I told them I liked as an idea for my "vibe", never expecting to hear it played by my wedding band just 1 month after its release, but it just shows you how they pay attention to things and want to make your night special for you. They customize every wedding for the bride and groom and their personal music preferences and tie it together with their expertise in what gets people up and moving. At the end of the night, I was on stage with my new husband and all the band members singing my heart out. Bluewater Kings Band is EVERYTHING and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you Shai and crew for making my wedding so amazing, truly. -

What an incredible band! From start to finish, my husband and I felt completely taken care of. Our journey began with an amazing introductory call with Molly, who was kind, knowledgeable, and helped us make the best choices based on our vision and budget.
Molly guided us seamlessly through the months leading up to the wedding, and on the big day her team was absolutely fantastic. Bob, the sound engineer, was gracious and skilled—our venue had a tricky setup, but he mixed everything perfectly. Guests could enjoy comfortable conversations during dinner with background music and then fully experience the live band without feeling overwhelmed.
As a singer, I even got to join the band for a surprise song! They were so welcoming and made the moment unforgettable. A month later, we’re still getting compliments about the incredible musicians. They’re budget-friendly, professional, and truly elevate any wedding.

Okay, no joke, this is just a sampling of the incredible feedback we got during and after our wedding this past November. From start to finish working with our producer (Jessica) was a breeze. The logistics were handled seamlessly by their technicians - who were also kind enough to let us use their speakers for a portion of our reception.
And then there's the band.
Un. believe. able.
We actually cut back on our catering budget in order to ensure we could have the full 9 piece experience and we are so glad we did. The horns added SO MUCH but even without that you would have been blown away. The pure musicianship and vocal talent on display was incredible. We especially loved Lauren (apologies if I misspelled your name, Lauren!) who was this tiny powerhouse that lit the whole room on fire with her vocals.
They took all our requests that we made in the lead-up and they learned a few custom songs just for us and knocked them out of the park. Plus they were honest - there was one song we really wanted which featured a ton of electronic sounds and they cautioned us that it might not sound great - and I really appreciated that candor.
Listen, cut the catering budget - wedding food can either be familiar or forgettable - so go with Chipotle and book this band - you won't regret it. -

We hired the Blue Water Kings Band for our wedding and they absolutely crushed it. They were genuinely having fun on stage, which our 200 guests all felt. We opted for the 9 piece band which included the horns. That was hands down one of the best choices we made because our guests raved about the energy a full band brought to the reception.
The coordinator Molly worked with us every step of the way to make sure we had a vibe that was specific to us and was really flexible with special requests made by us and our family throughout the planning process. 10/10 would recommend!

We cannot recommend Bluewater Kings enough! The pianist during our ceremony was absolutely lovely and played every song we requested perfectly. Absolutely a blast to have at our wedding this past Sunday! Jeff and the musicians were incredible, communicative, and just down to earth. Jeff was perfect with the schedule, timing, and letting my wife and me know about what was going on, any questions they had, and he even let us know when someone was requesting a song we didn't want (knew it was going to happen lol).

BWK Band was seriously amazing. We worked with Jessica throughout our wedding planning process and I love how responsive yet casual she was. They really understood our music taste and played to pack the dance floor - which they did! The MC was also a band member which was really cool to see. They also respected our "do not play" list which was long (transparently). I felt like they respected our taste, while also playing so that our guests had fun. Bluewater Kings Band provided the music for our daughter's May wedding in Wisconsin. We thoroughly appreciated the professionalism, flexibility, and mostly the sounds! that filled the day. The ceremony music enhanced the outdoor setting, ushered in the guests, and provided a perfect entrance and recessional for the wedding party.
When the dancing began, the dance floor filled and went strong until the close of the evening. The volume and musicality created a great dance atmosphere and the song selection brought smiles and laughter to the guests. I also appreciate that when the band took much deserved breaks your organization provided music to keep things moving.
A huge shout of laughter and joy came from the bride when the band played a song that they had agreed to learn specifically for this wedding.
So many people at the wedding commented on how much they enjoyed the band, and several asked for contact information for possible events in the future.

We had a magical experience with the Bluewater Kings Band.
It started out with Tony providing such a consultative approach - helping us understand what is right for us, our vision, and our venue. We live in Chicago and were getting married in Detroit. Tony let us know there was a showcase in Chicago where we could see the musicians play and get an idea of what we were getting into. It was such a fabulous start to the process.
On the actual day of the wedding, they truly kept the party going. If they were playing, people were on the dance floor. Not only did the lead singer make my husband and I feel so special by bringing us up with him, he played to the audience and was working the crowd. It made everyone want to keep on dancing!!
Execution to lead up - everything was top notch. If you are looking for a great band to play at your event, you HAVE to book these musicians. You will not regret it.

The Bluewater Kings Band did a wonderful job at my daughter’s October 11, 2024 Chicago wedding. My wife along with myself and all of our guests were so impressed with all of the talented members in the band. The music played at the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing was beautiful. It added a very special touch to the memories of their first day together as husband and wife. My daughter and son-in-law had smiles on their faces all night long.
You personally did a outstanding job working with our daughter and now son-in-law, in choosing music that met their personalities.
Molly made it a very smooth process to arrange such a magical night. Especially with learning, playing and singing the song for their first dance. She has a great voice.
Our guests were shocked on how many and how long people were on the dance floor. Your band made it such a fun event.

Karisa and the Bluewater Kings Band were absolutely incredible at our wedding last month! We discovered the Bluewater Kings Band at another couple’s wedding and were so impressed with the variety of the music they played and the amount of people they brought to the dance floor! We saw them at one of their showcases as well – which I would definitely recommend if you are thinking of booking them for an event 😊 They have showcase events all around the midwest area (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Minneapolis & Chicago too). We also used a website for planning our event which was super helpful through the band which included MC announcements throughout the night, song likes/dislikes, special dance songs, etc. We also used Bluewater Kings for our ceremony music (piano & violin). I wish everyone could have Bluewater Kings Band at their wedding! They created the perfect vibe, even beyond what I had imagined. We had an 8-piece band (maybe 9!) and also used their lighting and DJ services, along with a 3-piece ensemble for cocktail hour. In hindsight, I would have added their videography services as well.
Communication was always clear and quick, and they offer packages to suit everyone’s needs. They’re reasonably priced, and you DEFINITELY get more than your money’s worth. The process for selecting the type of music was easy and straightforward, and the band was so hype!
I loved every second, and they were truly the highlight of our wedding. -

The BEST band!
I attended a wedding 7 years ago and the band that the couple hired to play at their reception was unforgettable. They were so amazing that I made sure to ask the couple who they were, and jotted it down in my notes in hopes that one day when I got married I could hire them. Fast forward to 7 years later, my fiancé and I did just that. Blue Water Kings is a timeless, fun, and TALENTED band. The options to customize band size, music, and add ons are endless. We did the string trio for our ceremony, 7 piece band for the reception, and had a band member MC the night. What made the experience so special was that my now husband and I were able to choose pretty much every song that was performed. From the live music to the playlist for in between sets, Shai provided multiple song lists to choose from and gave us free range for our special playlist. The band even learned a song we requested that wasn’t on the list! BWK made us feel so special. All night guests kept saying how much they loved the band, and I’m still getting sweet messages to this day about them. If you want EVERYONE at your wedding to have the best time, dancers or not, you have to book Blue Water Kings. There is a package to fit every need. Shay was amazing at communicating with us up until the very day. She answered all my questions timely and helped us when we needed it! Thanks BWK for making our day the best. Much love.

My husband and I hired Bluewater Kings Band for our wedding. From the planning process to the day-of performances, everything was incredible. There was a string trio for the ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour and a 7-piece band plus DJ for our reception. Corbin, our producer, provided exceptional expertise and was an invaluable resource in making sure every detail for each performance was accounted for. He worked closely with our venue to ensure all tech and equipment needs were met.
All band members we interacted with during our wedding were so kind and cordial. They were prompt in arriving to the venue for sound check and were quick and professional with setting up/loading out. The reception performances were fantastic. There were guests on the dance floor from start to the very last song. Switching between live sets and the DJ was seamless. Announcements made by the emcee were clear and non-disruptive. There was a lot of fun interaction between the performers, specifically the singers and the guests. All of our guests have been raving -- even weeks later --- about how AWESOME the band was. The ceremony performances were beautiful! I so appreciate the string trio for their talent and care in playing the specific songs for the wedding processional and my bridal entrance. The cocktail hour music really livened the atmosphere and set up the fun for the night ahead.

The Bluewater Kings were worth every penny and more! Jacy our INCREDIBLE female vocalist, Todd our ceremony Sound Master, Tom our trumpeter, and the whole band made our wedding absolutely unforgettable! Ryan the band manager was super communicative from the moment we booked. He made sure all the prep work was done well in advance to understand special song requests, the order of events, vibe desired for the night, etc.
We leaned more into classic r&b, soul, with some 'get up and dance' rock and pop variety later in the night. Our guests could NOT stop dancing. Compliments were coming to me all night about the band and I even got a few "best wedding ever!" remarks.
They couldn't have done better. All of our guests were blown away by Jacy's vocals, especially on "As Time Goes By" which we ended the night on.
We loved every second of dancing to their performance.
The ceremony was perfect and everything we ever dreamed of (and more!) We had the wedding of our dreams and are still reeling from it. We got married in Siren Wisconsin and the band made the 2 hour trip from the twin cities without charging me for hotel rooms for the night, which I also really appreciated on our budget.
Thanks to Bluewater Kings it was the party of a lifetime!

Bluewater Kings is a fabulous band. Truly easy and wonderful to work with! We got the 8 piece band and it was perfect for us. Not only that, we had a full dance floor the whole night. Shai is THE MOST TALENTED SINGER EVER. We have a few family and friends in music and they all came up to us during the reception to tell us how fab the band was doing. We're still getting messages about how great the band was! The only part that's tough is that you aren't able to select which members will play in your band, but my guess is that all of their musicians are incredibly talented. I would highly recommend using Bluewater Kings Band for your wedding if you want a full & lively dance floor, high energy, and an unforgettable night. They’re amazing & talented musicians.
I worked with Corbin and was very impressed by his responsive communication, and his ability to accommodate & do whatever was requested. He was very attentive and nailed every planning detail flawlessly (and I gave a lot of specificity 🤣). Corbin not only made the day/night of our wedding amazing but offered helpful insight on the whole planning process. Everything was SO well organized in the months leading up to the party due to their online planning platform.
All of our guests raved about and were blown away by the band. My dad already has stated that he wants to hire the band for their 40th wedding anniversary party.
I couldn't have hoped for a better performance on our wedding night. You will not be disappointed by choosing this band. -

We had always talked about a live band, but we were so on the fence because we assumed it was out of budget for us. After seeing Bluewater Kings at a wedding in Chicago and a wedding in Cincinnati....we realized this group was top-notch with a variety of talented people in their ranks. After reviewing their website and very easy-to-find pricing, we were so excited to work with them! Their a la carte options for sound and microphones were also so great.
Literally everyone at our wedding raved about our band, and I'm so happy we got the chance to work for them on our perfect day. Our coordinator/POC was stellar at keeping tabs on questions and helping us shape our perfect plan for the day, even when we had to scale back due to life changes.
If you are on the fence about a band, get a ticket to see them live and you will book them shortly after. Not to mention the performers were simply, down-to-earth kind souls with skills to make people move. Thank you so much, y'all!! -

5 Stars Don't Do Justice!
The entire Bluewater Kings Band was absolutely excellent for our wedding night. We had a very energetic and diverse crowd and had the 6-piece band performing, and they really knocked it out of the park for us. All of our guests, from the older crowd to the younger generations, really enjoyed the song choices that the band had picked out and they did a great job keeping the whole crowd out on the dance floor the entire night. They really set the tone for a fun, upbeat and highly energetic reception and our crowd definitely fed off of it. Not to mention their performances of each song were fabulous and we often had to check if they were playing live or pre-recorded music because they sounded so good! They surpassed all of our expectations for our wedding night and did so within a very reasonable budget, and we will be highly recommending them to all of our family and friends in need of live entertainment as we cannot wait for the next event with Bluewater Kings playing! -

We were lucky enough to see the Bluewater Kings Band during one of their showcases which helped us solidify our choice to use them. The day of our wedding, they were absolutely fantastic. We started off with a string quartet for the ceremony, followed by a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, and had the 9 piece band for the reception. They absolutely blew the house down! They wowed the crowd and kept the energy going all night. We keep getting comments from our friends and family about how amazing they were!
They did an especially good job listening to how people responded to what they were playing and making adjustments on the fly. Highly recommend them! -

The dance floor never stopped!
Bluewater Kings Band (BWK) was absolutely incredible! They were worth every penny. People never left the dance floor and everyone raved about how amazing they were! BWK was extremely communicative and professional in the planning stages. They have an incredibly organized portal where all choices can be made, invoices paid, and song preferences listed. Jeff was always so friendly, excited, and rooting for us as we planned our big day. While we initially booked them just for our reception, it was easy to later choose to add on ceremony and cocktail hour musicians. Our guitarist for our ceremony played beautifully. He learned the specific songs we requested for walking down the aisle and processing out. The jazz trio during cocktail hour was a hit! The band truly made the night so lively, engaging, fun, and amazing! They are truly talented musicians that put their all into their performance. Our guests absolutely raved about the band and said it was one of the most fun weddings they've attended (BWK gets the credit for that!) One thing that surprised me was the band's ability to emcee all of the details on top of playing beautiful music. From announcing first dances and special personal things we asked them to make time for, BWK delivered on every single detail. There were even things we had asked them to do during the planning stages that I had forgotten about and sure enough, Jeff and the band had every detail covered. We were endlessly impressed. If you want a night where no one leaves the dance floor and everyone is overjoyed with the music, hire Bluewater Kings! -

UNBELIEVABLE. When we told other vendors we'd booked the Bluewater Kings Band they all said things like "I'm so jealous of whoever is working that night" and told me about how great they thought the band was. They lived up to the hype! My husband was pretty specific with the songs he wanted played and Bluewater Kings Band played them all and were INCREDIBLE. Bluewater Kings was truly amazing and we were SO glad we hired them for our wedding!! They were so professional, friendly and helpful all throughout planning (even after having to move our original wedding date). They designed the best set list for us based on our likes/dislikes.

After searching for a wedding band (learning the ins and outs of how booking through managers work) and many recommendations for Bluewater Kings Band, we reached out and received incredible service from beginning to our wedding day! The band was such a hit, we had so many compliments! They learned new songs for our first dances and knew exactly what we wanted when we asked for music the older crowd and younger would enjoy! Our friends and family continue to rave about Bluewater Kings! For several guests, this was their first time experiencing a live band at a wedding -- and they keep asking why more people don't do it! We were fairly 'hands off' with the playlist - and wanted them to do what they do best. We could not have asked for better partners in this. The band leader (Patrick), who was also our MC, was a ton of fun throughout the night. We had a few songs that we “really” wanted played, and told them that if they didn’t know them – they could be DJ songs during the intermissions. One very special song, though, Patrick and the band surprised us by learning… and mastering.. which was very cool and demonstrated their skill. Jessica was our producer and main contact, she was very thorough and detailed as we approached the day… and especially reassuring that there was no stress needed with them. Just sit back, and enjoy quality musicians and a fun time with Bluewater Kings. Your dance floor is guaranteed to stay full! -

Jessica was incredible throughout the planning process- she was organized, communicative, and thoughtful. She worked incredibly well with our day of coordinator, Jenny (check out Blue Moon Events!), and our other vendors to ensure the whole day ran smoothly. She was also able to add al-a carte options that made a huge difference for our day including mics for the ceremony, speakers for cocktail hour, and even video services through a third party vendor that BWK works with (which were awesome)! We even requested that a small group of friends perform during a band break, and Jessica helped to make that dream a reality. On the day, the band was high energy and so much fun -- there's nothing like great live music! About a week and a half before our wedding, my fiance and I went through the set list BWK has on their website and chose our favorite songs (and a few we didn't care for) and they built a perfect and personalized set list around our preferences. The flow of the evening couldn't have been better! We are so glad we went with BWK for our wedding day, and highly recommend them to any couple looking for a wedding band! -

There are not enough good things to say about the Bluewater Kings Band! From our producer Molly who was responsive and helpful throughout to our 9 piece band day of the wedding - Bluewater Kings Band rocked it. Taylor and Ashely were INCREDIBLE and kept the party going (and the dance floor packed!) all night long. We can't count the number of times our guests came up to us and talked about how amazing the band was. Taylor did an awesome job as the MC, Molly was clutch in recommending songs for key moments and our guests had a blast with the band. There is truly not one change we would have made for our wedding - we wish Taylor and Ashley could follow us everywhere. So incredibly talented and so incredibly kind. 100000/10 would recommend. -

Amazing band! Received so many compliments!
BWKB does really beautiful work. They personalize your experience. They highly tailor song choices to the bride and groom and the mood of the room. Everyone at our wedding was on the dance floor nearly the whole time and we received so many compliments re: our band following our wedding. We are just so grateful we got to have the BWKB perform at our wedding! They even covered our first dance song "Into the Mystic", so we knew it was fate. They were amazing!!!!! -
