Blue Moon Events is the absolute tops from pre-wedding to day-of! Would rate them a 20/10 if I could!!
Jenny is a dream. She answered all of our questions leading up to the event, and on the day of our wedding, I don't know how we would have survived without her and her husband. It's incredible to have two planners on the day of, because she was able to be at the venue making our vision a reality and coordinating all of the other vendors, while her husband was with us during photos, keeping us on track and making sure the day ran smoothly.
Also, my grandfather fell on the dance floor (he is okay!) but they drove him to the best hospital around so that he could save money and to make sure he got the best treatment — incredible!
Beyond that incredible example of their talents, what sets Jenny apart from other wedding day-of coordinators is her attitude. She takes charge when you need it, is chill when you need it, and keeps everything calm and flowing. She makes the day stress free, which is all you really want! Choose Blue Moon and enjoy your wedding planning process, and rest assured that you're truly in the best of hands! -

Went Above and Beyond!!
We absolutely loved working with Jenny throughout the planning process. We hired her as a day-of coordinator, but she was helpful well before the wedding day. She was very generous with her time and always willing to get on calls with us whenever we needed guidance.
Jenny was incredibly organized and helped ensure everything stayed on schedule, while still making sure my husband and I felt relaxed and never rushed. On top of that, she was such a fun and positive presence throughout the entire process. We’re so grateful for her support and would absolutely recommend her. -

Worry Free
Jenny and her team are AMAZING and worth every cent and more. She stayed with us through the process and answered any and every stupid question we had without judgement or hesitation. She has an excellent grasp of timeline and so even as our day-of coordinator, she kept us on track throughout the entire planning process. The wedding day was also incredibly smooth with a perfect emergency kit. As the type of people who always feel like a burden, we were nervous about asking for things or making last-minute adjustments. Jenny and her team were with us the whole way and never made us feel like what we asked for was unreasonable. HIGHLY recommend!! -

The best wedding decision we made
Hiring Jenny MacBeard & Blue Moon Events was hands down the best decision we made for our entire wedding!
We literally cannot say enough wonderful things about Jenny, Jeff, and Blue Moon Events. From the moment we brought Blue Moon Events on (right after booking our venue, about 18 months out), Jenny became an invaluable partner in bringing our wedding to life.
Her coordinator package was absolutely perfect for us. We still got to be hands-on with the planning, but having her as a consultant throughout the process gave me such confidence that we were on the right track. She truly listened to our vision, kept our budget top of mind, and consistently offered recommendations at various price points. Thanks to her guidance, we found incredible vendors, especially our caterer and photographer, that we never would have discovered on our own. And Jenny is so beloved that many of them even offered us special discounts knowing that any event handled by her would be a breeze!
In the 4-6 weeks leading up to the wedding, Jenny seamlessly stepped in to handle all vendor communications and management, which took so much stress off our plates. On the day itself, both Jenny and her husband Jeff were absolute rockstars, making sure every single detail we'd asked for was executed perfectly. Between the two of them, we all felt completely taken care of throughout the entire day, and our wedding party knew that if they needed anything, Jenny or Jeff would have it!
When small mishaps came up (like my bustle breaking or family members arriving late), Jenny kept everything calm and handled it effortlessly. She also took the time to thoughtfully arrange all our personal details in ways that made the whole space come together beautifully.
Beyond her incredible organizational skills and professionalism, Jenny is simply the loveliest person in the world and an absolute joy to work with. We've joked that we need to throw another event just to keep her in our lives!
If you're getting married, hire Jenny. You won't regret it. -

Blue Moon Events - Can't Be Beat!
Jenny (and Jeff!) of Blue Moon Events are a key reason our wedding will forever be one of the most meaningful and memorable nights of our lives. Jenny took the time to understand us and our vision for our wedding and was incredibly patient with helping us build the day from the ground up. She has incredible taste that money cannot buy and is an absolute professional from the top down. We opted for day-of coordination, so we handled a lot of contracting on our end, but we ended up with the entirety of our vendor team from the list of her recommendations. We leaned heavily on DIY for much of our decor, and Jenny & Jeff were pro’s in making our vision a gorgeous reality. Ultimately, she knows how to ‘wedding’ more than anyone I could imagine. After spending over a year planning the wedding, I thought to myself - how wild could it REALLY be. I was skeptical about how much it would impact me day-of - and how much it would stay with me after. In the end, however, it was truly a surreal, unreplicable experience. So trust me, you’ll want her on your team.

Flawless day thanks to Jenny
Jenny from Blue Moon Events was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Although we hired her for a day-of coordination package, the support she gave us in the months leading up to the big day was absolutely invaluable. Her regular check-ins kept us on track, she helped us stay organized, and she personally recommended nearly all of our amazing vendors. She also constantly made sure we were doing okay and offered help wherever she could. She truly went above and beyond.
When the wedding day arrived, Jenny and her husband Jeff took over and everything went off without a hitch. We didn’t have to stress about a single thing, which meant the world to my wife and me. We were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment thanks to them. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone. She is a total pro and an absolute joy to work with. 1000% worth it -

Great experience!
Working with Jenny at Blue Moon Events was the best decision we made! Jenny was so helpful for us in planning our daughter's wedding. She is professional, organized, calm, kind and really listened and guided us along with our daughter and son-in-law in planning a beautiful wedding. She and her husband, Jeff, were there on the day of the wedding to organize, coordinate and make sure that everything went smoothly. Above and Beyond
This is long overdue, but I want to share how eternally grateful we are to have partnered with Jenny at Blue Moon Events for our wedding this September. We would happily recommend her to every single couple getting married in the Chicago area. We not only got impeccable advice and structure to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch, but we truly had so much fun in the planning process with Jenny’s kind and infectious energy. We knew we picked a winner when we were having so much fun laughing on the first Zoom call that it ran way over – a trend that continued throughout the next six months.
Jenny went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was truly what we wanted, even when we weren’t always sure what that was. Jenny was able to provide guidance on all the ins and outs we weren’t thinking about and keep us on schedule with the important dates & decisions. Much more importantly, after getting to know us and our vibe, she was able to offer suggestions that were tailored to us when we were stuck on decisions. When we weren’t sure what we wanted to do for photos as we weren’t doing a full wedding party, her suggestion of bopping around to our favorite spots around our neighborhood was one of the most memorable highlights of our day.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel to have partnered with Blue Moon Events throughout the planning process, and we hope that everyone getting married can have the same experience we did. -

BEST money we spent for our wedding. Period.
Okay, if you read nothing else, read this: I am a therapist, and hiring Jenny and Jeff at Blue Moon was the NO.1 best money spent for me and my husband’s mental health. Period. Want to hire the BEST version of your best friend or family family member who makes you feel like you’re the only client in the world? HIRE THEM!!! (Okay, but now read the rest of this review too!!)
From the moment we met, they were so friendly and warm, making us feel at ease during the stressful wedding planning process. We knew they cared about actually delivering a wedding that was OUR wedding from the first 5 minutes of the meeting, with the way they asked for details about our vibes, our love, our goals, and our aesthetic. Everyone who attended our wedding said how it felt exactly like us, and how every detail was warm and thoughtful and not cookie-cutter at all -- and this was exactly what we wanted.
Jenny was our lead coordinator, and she made herself available for zoom sessions, emails, and texts long before the actual wedding. We now consider Jenny a good friend and are inviting her to our Top Chef bracket next season -- seriously. Jeff was a dream as well. I (the bride) first met Jeff the day of the wedding when he came to pick me and the girls up to go meet the bros for photos, and he felt like an instant family member. He carried all our stuff, kept us on schedule, kept us hydrated, and allowed us to all be 100% “passenger princesses” the entire day, so we actually enjoyed ourself. He absorbed any stress we would have had about being on time for everything -- so thank you Jeff!
They were genuinely fundamental to the success of our wedding, and our mental health staying in tact. They helped us stay calm, and kept everything moving in the right direction behind the scenes so we never had to worry about a thing. They suggested vendors all along the planning process, and they even stayed late to pack up the wedding decor, and delivered it themselves to our apartment THAT NIGHT. Full service doesn’t even begin to cover it!!
Best money we spent on our entire wedding, as they genuinely made ALL our money spent and all our vendors chosen feel so perfect for us, for our budget, and for the best day of our lives. Jenny and Jeff, you are legends and we can’t wait to have you in our Top Chef bracket next season!!! -

Choose BME to choose yourselves
I’ll be honest: we had a 12/10 wedding. It was, like, significantly amazing. And it probably would have still been really great if we had coordinated it all on our own, but I will never be more glad about a decision we made than I am about booking Jenny, Jeff, and Allison of Blue Moon Events.
I’m a high school teacher, so “organized fun” is what I do all day. Making a seating chart for our wedding was just like making a seating chart for 9th period English. We elected to hire BME as our “day-of coordinators,” which means we had done much of the initial planning ourselves, and we were doing great. We would have been able organize the wedding day pretty decently. It would have been, at least, mostly fine and fun.
However.
I would have spent my entire wedding day in teacher mode, “working.” My husband and I would have been telling people what to do instead of letting them enjoy being a guest, checking items off on to do lists instead of letting ourselves be blown over by the emotions of the day, wrangling relatives instead of connecting with them, setting up a million items (and getting sweaty and frazzled) instead of being dazzled by the venue, and putting out fires instead of sipping cocktails.
Instead, what did we do? We enjoyed the hell out of our wedding. Every minute. With almost no stress at all. When I arrived at the venue on the wedding day and saw Jenny with her clipboard and beaming smile, I immediately felt calm and sturdy and ready to enjoy myself. I let my guard down and had the best wedding ever.
Here’s what Jenny and her team did for us.
First, Jenny got to know us -- well. This allowed us to trust her from the get go. Then, in our Zoom calls ahead of the wedding, she helped us make those nagging decisions we couldn’t nail down, and lifted up the "us" in our wedding. This is key: BME has coordinated tons and tons of weddings, and we had never hosted a single one, and thus had the standard set of anxieties. So Jenny's vast perspective, and with it, her loving and credible permission to yes, in fact, do exactly what we wanted to do for our special day (not what we thought was “proper” or would make others happy), made a huge difference in not only finally nailing down those last choices, but also feeling really wonderful and excited about them. Next, she put every detail in one extremely organized and polished document (the “blueprint”) and completed the dozens communications needed for the many vendors in one tidy fell swoop. She acted as liaison with vendors so we didn’t need to, and she checked in on details so we wouldn’t lose track of any important preparations. The amount of details Jenny asked us about that we never in a million years would have predicted was astounding, and that is the reason that a whole bunch of things didn’t go missing or need to get solved at the last minute.
During the wedding weekend, Jenny and her team coordinated the rehearsal in a loving, fun, and efficient way. They then took care of everything -- it was incredible. From meeting vendors to setting up decor to managing the timeline, there wasn’t a thing we had to stress about. My husband kept checking in with Jeff about details, to which the answer was consistently, “Yup, that’s already done!” My husband eventually laughed at himself for his anxious fussing and went off to enjoy his wedding instead, because Blue Moon had it all in hand. They wrapped up all the details at the end of the night, and we were free to simply head out to keep celebrating at a bar with our friends in wedded bliss.
More important than anything else, though, was Jenny and the team’s support of our vision for our day. We had some unique ideas (a 30-person amateur chorus, among other things), which may have given some wedding coordinators pause or even had them running for the hills. Jenny, however, was psyched, and I mean PSYCHED, about the intention and passion we had for involving our guests and centering our quirkiness and the passion of our friends and family. She spent hours helping us figure out how to coordinate our vision, but most importantly, she held it sacred and made sure we never gave up on building the day we were dreaming of. I still tear up thinking about the glimmer in her eye in our first Zoom call, and the warmth in her face when she saw it all come to life. Jeff and Allison picked up the charge on the day of, and they were equally thrilled about and dedicated to the vision and the details. Also worth noting: they are extremely sweet people. Like, human teddy bears, except extremely competent and efficient. Tons of guests commented on how incredibly lovely they were. Exactly the folks you want by your side on the biggest day of your life.
So the choice to hire BME is both a choice of making sure that the truly massive amount of work of a wedding gets completed, organized, and executed according to your vision. It is a choice to keep vendors tended to and prevent frustrations or miscommunications. But it is mostly a choice about prioritizing yourself. We spend the months before hand preparing an event for our guests; on the day of, we got to revel in the event for ourselves. Those moments they say you're supposed to prize: gazing out at the beautiful room of everyone you have ever loved, locking eyes with your spouse and saying, "we're married!" -- these are all moments we were free to absorb all night long. Handing the reins to BME allowed us to enjoy the ride.
In conclusion: hire BME. Hand over the reins, and let them take care of you. You only get married once. Enjoy the ride.

Tremendous a+
Our experience with Jenny exceptional from start to finish. You're dealing with much, much more than a day-of planner; she was indispensable through every step of the process. I have no idea how we'd have gotten on without her. Organizing all the moving parts of a wedding can be a mountain of work. Jenny made it all feel attainable and helped us feel comfortable and ultimately "not crazy" - amazing bedside manner, so to speak! Wedding party, parents and vendors were all made to feel calm and collected as well. Tremendously kind and resourceful with great taste to boot (she'll help you with aesthetic decisions or a trustworthy tie-breaker vote if you ask her to). Our wedding had a few shall we say "chaotic" elements to coordinate with the task of execution falling fully on Jenny's plate to hugely successful results. Truly magical. I'll wrap this up as best I can; you have too much to do already, just park it right here with Blue Moon Events and get on with the show. You will not regret it. Best night ever.
When we first met Jenny and Jeff of Blue Moon Events, we knew that they would be an indispensable part of our wedding planning and wedding day. From our initial consultation with Jenny to the moment we left the venue, their professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion transformed what could have been a stressful planning process into an absolute dream. Jenny’s attention to detail is unparalleled. She listened carefully to us, understanding not just the basic logistics of what we wanted, but also the emotional vision we had for our day. She helped us navigate complex decisions without ever making us feel overwhelmed. When we weren’t sure what to do or how to go about something, suggestions were provided for us to think about. On our wedding day itself, Jenny and Jeff were on point with everything we had discussed. They seemed to be everywhere and no where at the same time, appearing to guide us to the next item on our Blueprint (e.x. we were taken from cocktail hour to the reveal of the room we had dinner in full of florals and decor- something we definitely wouldn’t have thought to view without guests on our own). Surprise issues were also handled swiftly- Jeff literally had to sew a button back onto my wife’s dress right before the ceremony after she noticed it was loose! What truly sets Jenny apart is her emotional intelligence. She understands that a wedding isn't just an event, but a deeply personal celebration of a relationship. If you are anxious about a first dance or when to cut your cake, I guarantee that she has a suggestion for you to consider. Jenny made sure our unique personalities were reflected in every aspect of the day and was understanding and empathetic about complicated family dynamics, again offering advice to ensure the day went as smoothly as possible. To any couple planning their wedding, I cannot recommend Blue Moon Events enough. They don’t just plan weddings – they alleviate stress, confusion and at the end of it all helped us execute a day full of memories s that will last a lifetime. -

Calm and Supportive Wedding Planner Made Our Urban Garden Wedding Perfect
From the moment we started planning our wedding, Jenny was not just our planner but became like a best friend to me and my wife. My wife and I were not big wedding planners and didn't have endless Pinterest vision boards like some couples - we needed guidance and ideas, and Jenny delivered that! Made our Wedding Day Perfect
I cannot say enough good things about Jenny and Jeff. Every single piece of our wedding day was made easier by having them there. She came highly recommended by our venue and caterer, and after the initial consultation I knew that I needed to have her at our venue. Right away she made us so comfortable with being able to handle a semi-DIY wedding. Her team set up all of our centerpieces and tablescapes, our aisle decor, and all of the other odds and ends that go into a DIY wedding perfectly.
Jenny was also our biggest hype man leading up until and during our wedding. She made sure we weren’t too overwhelmed, answered any question I had that came up, and communicated so quickly. We had a few last minute changes and she did all the communicating on our behalf.
I cannot recommend Jenny enough to anyone looking for a day of coordinator -

The best coordinator!
Right from the start, we knew that hiring Blue Moon Events as our wedding day coordinator was a fantastic choice. Even though we only opted for day-of coordination rather than full planning, we booked with Blue Moon Events early and Jenny was immediately SO helpful with a couple check-ins along the way and recommending vendors to us. Wedding planning had me very stressed and I remember getting off of the first call with her feeling significantly better. I remember joking to my husband after our call about how quickly Jenny had realized exactly what to say to help me just chill out a little (in addition to describing the coordination process in this call, Jenny artfully peppered in some encouragement that I needed to hear that we were doing a great job with the planning so far). Jenny is warm, friendly, and so skilled at helping people stay calm.
The blueprint document for the day-of that she put together for the wedding day was incredibly comprehensive and she did a great job of coordinating with all of our vendors. The wedding day went incredibly, and I know that so much of this was due to Jenny's planning and her and her husband's excellent management of the schedule on the day-of. They both have really incredible people-skills and kept me, my husband, and our families as calm as possible through the weeks leading up to the wedding and the chaos of a wedding day. I think this is where Jenny and her husband really shine - they are not only excellent at managing weddings but are really incredible at managing people's stress on their wedding day when they are not always at their best. Our wedding was perfect and I truly think that hiring Blue Moon Events was what made that possible. -

A Wedding Lifesaver!
I hired Jenny after a bad experience with another planner that left us scrambling. Jenny jumped right in and made me feel so at ease! She is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. We met as often as I needed and she walked me through all my questions. She understood my vision for the wedding and helped me plan and execute it to perfection!

Wedding Planner Extraordinaire
Jenny MacBeard of Blue Moon Events is a "day of" wedding planner. But she is much more than a wedding planner and doubles as a consultant, brainstormer, computer guru, mentor, stress reliever, and encourager. She works throughout the months of planning and the entire day of the wedding, long after everyone goes home. She recommended vendors to us and every single one--photographer, videographer, DJ, and flowers--did an amazing job and worked well together. She provided suggestions for the wedding website, invitations, dresses, tuxes, rings, gifts, officiant, and venues. She helped us with vendor contracts and coordinated with the vendor. We ran everything by her, and she gave us confidence that everything would be great.
During the wedding day, she was our right hand and facilitated everything from start to finish, was organized and efficient, coordinated every vendor, the venue, and the wedding party--all with a sense of humor and calm. She and her partner/husband, Jeff, anticipated every need and were such a delight to work with. As bride and mother of the bride, we focused only on the service, getting ready, being with family, and spending time together--enjoying every moment. It was a perfect day!

One of our absolute favorite wedding vendors
Jenny and the rest of the Blue Moon Events team were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Her role was month-of-coordinator, but she did so much more than that and was willing to hop on the phone (much earlier than just a month out) with us several times to answer any questions and talk through anything that would pop up. We had a largely DIY wedding when it came to our decor and Jenny and the team did a phenomenal job in setting everything up and making the space look beautiful. We hired BME for both of our daughters' weddings and recommended them to friends also! Jenny and Jeff make sure that every detail is accounted for in an amazing Blueprint for the event. They even come to the wedding with a suitcase of supplies that would handle any emergency from bandaids to safety pins to gum! Day-of coordination of your dreams!
Jenny and her team were bar none the best decision we could have made for our wedding day. They made sure that all of our hard work through two years of planning really came to life, and even thought of many things that we didn't. Our day was incredible, and we have Jenny to thank.
Just one of many examples of their attention to detail and thoughtfulness- my uncle passed away shortly before our wedding and they included a picture of him near our other framed photos at our reception and had a candle lit for him. I and many of my family members were so touched by their kindness.
Jenny and her team even made sure that our golden retriever was taken care of. We had her as part of our ceremony but they drove her home and made sure she had dinner.
Weddings also bring out odd emotions and pushy family- Jenny handled all of it with grace and tact.
I'm not kidding when I say that I wish we could plan another event just to work with Jenny again. Do not hesitate in booking her, especially if you'd like someone to help you that treats your wedding with the care as if it were theirs. -

Best Decision Ever
Working with Jenny and Jeff from Blue Moon events for our wedding was probably the smartest decision I’ve made my entire life, even more so than marrying my husband (only half kidding). On a serious note, these two made our day the most perfect celebration of love, romance and a damn good party and pulled it off beautifully. At first, my husband and I weren’t sure if we needed a day-of coordinator for our wedding. We had met with Jenny in the past and thought we would skip it at the time. But as the day got closer, we realized we needed help and we immediately went back to Blue Moon Events and THANK GOD they still had our date available. I cannot tell you how valuable they were to us throughout the tail-end of planning and on our actual wedding day. Even though we only purchased the day-of package, we got so much more. Jenny had probably 4-5 meetings with us within the 7 weeks we booked her before our wedding, and that was just with US as a couple. She also coordinated with all of our vendors to get the information to everyone, arrival and setup times, rooms to arrive to and how to wrangle all of them into one. She came to our final venue walk-through, ran our rehearsal and showed up 6 hours early on the actual wedding to get things in order. The document she gives you that outlines your entire day is a literal life savor in easing your mind on how your day will run and is easy to pass along to those in your family or friends who need specifics. She sets up the entire timeline for the day so that your head doesn’t spin and spin with those little details. Jenny and her husband Jeff made this day absolutely so flawless for us and made sure we knew this day was about us and our love. Every little snafu, they took care of. They got us and our VIP guests drinks during dinner. Jenny bustled my dress for me. Jeff came to pictures around the city with us with his emergency kit and held bouquets and my veil and was the most helpful person. On top of everything they do to cater to your every need, they are quite simply the most generous, kind and hilarious human beings you will come in contact with. It’s like having your best friends there celebrating your day with you and you just find so much comfort in knowing they’ll pull this off for you. I am literally tearing up writing this thinking of everything they did for us that day. I absolutely cannot recommend any company more than Blue Moon events to be a part of your wedding day! -

LOVE Blue Moon!
Where do I even begin? My wife and I hired Jenny and Jeff to coordinate our wedding. They were absolutely fabulous in all regards. Not only are they very organized, they both care so much to have your event carried out in the way YOU want. That was clear from our first meeting and carried through to the end of our wedding. Both have the experience to predict any and all contingencies and made sure we had no worries at all the day of the wedding. Specifically (and something I found great and hilarious), whenever I asked either Jeff or Jenny anything about the planning on the day of the wedding, the answer was almost always "That's already handled - you've got nothing to worry about," which was true every time. For every small or large detail that my wife brought up during the process, Jenny had an answer, or multiple possible answers, for how we could handle it.
In all, I could not recommend Blue Moon highly enough. They are the height of professionalism and we really loved working with them to have our perfect wedding (and it was, indeed, perfect). Book them for your event!!!! -

Amazing experience!
We were one of the couples who were impacted by the Coronavirus. We had changed our dates, and even cancelled our wedding when there was no hope of the pandemic ending. Jenny was hands down the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. She was professional, kind and most of all detail-oriented!! They’re such nice, friendly and helpful people that everyone would want to spend their special day with. They have an emergency kit filled with everything you can think of needing on that day of. LOVE Blue Moon Events!
Hiring Blue Moon Events as our day-of-coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From our first conversation, Jenny made us feel both at ease and excited about the big day. We met in person about 12 months in advance, and she was incredibly helpful, providing advice and recommendations on remaining vendors to select. Communication was a breeze, and she was always quick to respond whenever we had a question throughout planning. From ~6 weeks out, Jenny was on top of it, coordinating our final venue walkthrough and working with all our vendors. The day-of blueprint and timeline she pulled together was AMAZING – I had many bridal party members comment on how thorough it is! We didn’t have to worry about logistics at all. I was especially grateful for the insight, guidance, and care Jenny and team took to help us navigate a few family-related items – we knew we were working with a team that wanted us, and our loved ones, to have the best day. On the big day, Jeff and Allison were rockstars and took care of our group from start to finish. They also helped us take care of some last-minute changes – once we asked them, we knew it’d get taken care of. Everyone loved them! From helping fix a bridesmaid dress snag, to providing hairspray to the ladies during photos, and wipes to remove makeup from my dress – we really took advantage of the event emergency kit Blue Moon provides! Not only was the bridal party taken care of, but so were our parents and loved ones at the wedding – Jeff provided our moms with tissues pre-ceremony, and he was ready with the high-heel relief spray during dancing! When we came back to our hotel post-reception, all our personals from the wedding were organized back in our room – including my bouquet in its vase with water. With this team, us and our loved ones could simply enjoy the celebration all night long. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Blue Moon Events. Just book them - you’ll be happy you did! -

You will not find a better wedding planner in Chicago
I can't say enough good things about Jenny and her team, and I know that our wedding would not have gone as smoothly without their help. Jenny jumped in everywhere I needed her, and took the lead in dealing with our vendors especially in those final few (very stressful!) weeks leading up to the wedding. At all times, Jenny was calm, friendly, and basically just solved every problem, behind the scenes and before I could even begin to panic. On the day of, Jeff and Amanda were phenomenal. They handled every single detail seamlessly and happily, and between the two of them, somehow managed to do the jobs of about 6 different people. Looking back, hiring Jenny and her team was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! -

Jenny and her team were so helpful not only on the day of our wedding, but through the entire wedding process. From listening to us stress over the pandemic guidelines to putting on fashion tape on the day of the wedding, Jenny and her team were there for us. She is incredibly thoughtful and prepared, and has an amazing physical and emotional tool kit. She is calm, kind, and truly cared about us having the best day. The best!!
When we began the wedding planning process, my husband was not initially sold on the need for a wedding coordinator and it took some time to get him on board with fitting it into the budget. Fast forward to now - he will tell you that hiring Jenny/Blue Moon Events is the absolute best money we spent. We were about a month-ish out from our wedding date when I finally had him convinced on hiring a day-of coordinator. Fortunately, we stumbled across a recommendation for Blue Moon Events and we reached out to see if they were available. I am SO grateful that we found BME and that Jenny was willing to take on our wedding despite being only 6 weeks out!
First of all, Jenny has an incredibly warm, kind, and caring personality; she is the type of person that makes you feel good just being around her. She is SO easy to talk to and truly cares about making your wedding feel special, down to every little detail! She was an awesome communicator and very responsive throughout the whole process. She really wants to do everything possible to make your wedding day perfect.
Since the wedding, I’ve been asked a few times by people whether anything went wrong or not according to plan. My response has been that if anything did go wrong, I honestly didn’t know about it! And that is all because of Jenny & her team. Thanks to Blue Moon Events, we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our wedding day - we could be completely present and soak in every moment with each other and our friends & family, which is the way it should be!
Jenny and her assistant Melissa did an amazing job and went above & beyond to make our wedding perfect. Everything ran smoothly, BME helped us stick to our timeline flawlessly throughout the day (which is not easy when having to deal with & corral a bridal party of ~26). My husband and I, our moms, sisters, bridal party, family members, etc. did not have to stress about a thing all day - which is something you can’t put a price on. Everyone was happy, task-free, and able to simply enjoy themselves and have fun. Jenny and Melissa made everything we had planned and envisioned come to life. They coordinated with our vendors, set up all of our decor just how we wanted, and went out of their way to pick up anything we needed. BME took care of so many tasks that we would have otherwise had to assign to family or friends (e.g., picking up donuts, late night food, running errands, etc.).
Jenny and Blue Moon Events was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding day and I cannot recommend them enough! Jenny was so thoughtful and made us feel really special from the moment we met her. I can’t imagine our wedding day without Jenny alongside us. Now we are just trying to think of an excuse to throw another big party so we can hire them again! :) -

Amazing Experience, 12/10 Would recommend
Holy Cow. As someone that plans for part of my job and is very type A, I was extremely nervous about my wedding day. I wanted to find someone that would be able to execute all of my ideas and help keep us organized, but also that I could trust (because giving up control is hard).
Blue Moon Events did all that and so much more. I am super organized and didn't want to spend $$$$$ on a planner, upon reviewing quotes, Jenny and team fell right into my budget amount. After our intitial contact, we met in person and chatted through how we'd want to feel on the day of. I still remember Jenny saying she "wants me to float on my wedding day" - not worry about timing, people or anything. Damn, did she deliver! Jenny and Alison were phenomenal. They took care of every detail - I didn't have flowers at my wedding so it was up to Jenny to set up the 500 candles, candle holders, votives, etc.. at the venue. It turned out better than I could have dreamed of. Jenny joined us for our rehearsal and did such a great job, people at the rehearsal thought she was the planner for the Church because she seemed to know all the answers. She came to where we were getting ready the morning of to check in on me and the bridesmaids. Everything Jenny did was perfect, I wish I had more events if only because I want to work with her on other things. Her professionalism, kindness, brilliance - all of it made my wedding day flawless.
I cannot recommend Blue Moon Events enough. -

Made our day so seamless and smooth!
Jenny and her husband Jeff were beyond amazing. From the detailed blueprint they put together, to taking lead on communicating and answering all vendor questions, to setting up and taking down all of our detailed wedding decor. They even drove our wedding cake to our hotel so we could enjoy a little midnight (or 2am) snack before bed. They both really did care so much about making sure our day was as special as could be. And it really was because of them. When I look back, I can 100% say that this is one vendor I could not do without. So glad we booked them! -

Best decision!
Hiring Jenny was one of the best decisions we made in the entire wedding process. My mom and I knew we wanted a day of coordinator to help make our lives easier, but we couldn't have imagined how helpful it actually ended up being! Jenny and her husband went above and beyond to help make our day great. The blueprint she provided was super helpful to give to our bridal party. They set up a ton of our details/decorations at the reception (including name cards, table numbers, guest book, welcome signs, etc.), picked up our party bus food, checked us into our hotel rooms with our luggage, locked up/put away our gifts, tipped our vendors at the end of the night, and even helped us get ginger beer for the bars at cocktail hour so people could have Moscow mules! Jenny and Jeff were truly willing to do anything we needed to help make our lives easier and they were worth every penny. It was so nice to not worry about all the little things on my wedding day! -

Best Coordinator!!
We hired Blue Moon Events to do the setup and breakdown of our wedding reception decor and I'm finding it difficult to put into words how THRILLED we were with the results! We worked with Jenny, who was absolutely fantastic. She was very responsive, easy to work with and made it so this was one aspect we did not have to stress about. It is very difficult for me to relinquish control over situations, especially one as important as my wedding, but Jenny came through and went far above and beyond our expectations. More than the food or the venue or the band or the photographer, choosing Blue Moon Events for our day of coordinator was the single best decision we made for our wedding. Wedding Day-of-Event Coordinator
My husband and I had our wedding back in November at Salvage One. Choosing Blue Moon events as our day-of event coordinator was the best choice we could have ever made. Our entire day went off without a hitch. Jenny and Jeff kept everyone organized, helped with set up, helped with transportation, and literally every other thing you could possibly think of. My husband’s button on his tux popped off 5 minutes into our wedding party photos. Jeff fixed it within minutes. The shawls I bought my bridesmaids came out wrinkled from their bags. They ironed them for us. I am a very organized person, but sometimes things go wrong that are out of your control. It was so nice to go throughout our day without a single worry or concern. My husband and I were able to have an amazingly fun day because we knew that everything was taken care of and that everything would go smoothly because of Jenny and Jeff.
Jenny also makes a detailed blueprint for all vendors and an abbreviated version for everyone in the bridal party that gives a nice outline of the day so everyone is on the same page with timing. Every other vendor we worked with for our wedding commented on how great the blueprint was, or that it was the best blueprint they have ever received. Both Jenny and Jeff are incredibly approachable, caring individuals that pay such attention to detail. If I could give them 10 stars I would. -

Blue Moon Events gave me the ceremony experience I had dreamed of...
Jenny and Jeff helped set up my Northern Michigan beach wedding, they handled each challenge so deftly I honestly didn't know there was any issue until the next day. Jenny's calm, pleasant but commanding demeanor gives any bride the faith to hand over control of the day of details so that she can just enjoy the beauty and emotion of her wedding day. That alone makes Blue Moon well well worth it. -

Where to start? Working with Jenny and her husband, Jeff, was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process! My now husband and I (okay, mostly me) managed so much of the planning leading up but when it came to the crazy month leading up and the actual day of, it was amazing to have help. Enter Jenny!
We had an initial meeting with her and Jeff early on and walking away we just told each other, “they’re just so NICE and NORMAL.” (It’s weird how that isn’t always common in the wedding industry.) She asked us great questions and always made us feel like it was our wedding but she was there to help make it better and deliver! Of course, her guidance and expertise were crucial into having the final day be what we imagined.
In the month leading up, Jenny was always there! She attended the final walk through at our venue a month in advance, delivered an amazing day-of blueprint for us and wedding party, was always available with a quick phone call or e-mail (no matter the hour…), and even led our rehearsal at a non-traditional venue. My husband and I had our siblings officiate the wedding and, needless to say, they were new to this. Jenny even took time to connect with the both of them separately – to say she goes above and beyond is an understatement.
Fast forward to day of the wedding! Jenny and Jeff were ON IT. They delivered items to the item, picked up styrofoam coolers for the shuttle (yep, we forgot), and set up the venue to PERFECTION! One of the biggest things is that she tried our friends and family with care and respect and we received so many compliments through the course of the day. Same from our vendors! They also kept our glasses during our reception which probably contributed to the late night song & dance party that our wedding evolved into at the end of the night. No regrets.

From the moment we hired her she was always readily available to answer any questions we had, checked up on us monthly and made sure we stayed on track of what needed to be done. We ran our ideas by her and she definitely let us know what we really needed for the wedding and what we could forgo. I am an extremely detail-oriented person and Jenny was the perfect fit. The planning documents she created just for us, were AMAZING! And she was fantastic with response time. We had our ceremony and reception at the Genesee Theater on 9/3/16. Unfortunately we had an issue with our caterer 3 weeks prior to the wedding and Jenny helped us find a stellar catering company. Throughout the whole planning process you can definitely tell she was genuinely excited for our big day. It was very evident how much she cared about us. In fact, we lost my father three months prior to the wedding and Jenny was so wonderful on a personal level and helping us get back on track, as we had put the planning on hold. It truly was like working with an old friend! The execution: AMAZING. Until you plan your own wedding you will never know the things that go on in the weeks leading up to your wedding. Phone calls and emails are non-stop. There are so many little details that could be overlooked. Jenny took over as the contact person for all of our vendors which included catering, floral, photography, videography, make-up, ceremony site managers, chair & chandelier rentals and our live band. She coordinated with everyone as to when and where they needed to be while finalizing any last minute things that they needed to do. Our dream wedding was to be married and have dinner, drinks and dancing on stage with all of our closest family and friends. Jenny and her team definitely made that happen. The whole night went by flawlessly and we have her to thank. -

I second all the other reviewers for Blue Moon Events. Jenny was worth every penny! She listened to my concerns and made sure that every thing went smoothly. Her BluePrint was incredibly detailed. Everyone kept commenting on how calm I was on my wedding day. I replied it was because I had Jenny! Her husband, Jeff, also helped and did a great job. He came down multiple times to make sure everything was going well and asked to clarify details.
We were worried about the rain as we had an outdoor ceremony. Jenny and Jeff made sure that everything stayed dry and set it up quickly once the rain passed. In addition, Jenny and my father quickly arranged for family members to help out with the chuppah due to the wind. Her emergency kit came in handy a few times.
Prior to hiring Jenny, I was staying up late worried about what to do for the wedding. Once I had Jenny, I could finally sleep. I would highly recommend Jenny if you are thinking about a day of planner. My mother used her for the post-wedding brunch and again we had excellent service! -

Amazing, incredible, are just a few words to describe Blue Moon Events! Jenny and Jeff make an outstanding team! We wanted to plan our son & daughter-in-law’s wedding & reception ourselves but found the process overwhelming & time consuming. We hired Blue Moon Events for the “day of the wedding” events and are so glad we did.
Jenny immediately stepped in and developed a blueprint for each event with specific details & timing. She had creative ideas on how to simplify, manage and enhance their wedding day – from organizing the bridal party’s hair & makeup, getting everyone to the church on time, coordinating the ceremony, & managing the reception venue. Jenny & Jeff were onsite from early morning until late at night managing the events!
As with any event, there were a few “glitches” – they discretely & effectively resolved each issue. All of their pre-planning and “day of the wedding” coordination allowed us to truly treasure our special day! We highly recommend Blue Moon Events and will definitely hire them for our next event!

Above and Beyond
Jenny was great to work with and went above and beyond in a number of ways. She was truly ready for anything on the day of the event which included shout wipes for the brides dress and stitching a hole in the grooms pants before the ceremony. Her timeline was very doable and did not stretch the timing of things at all. She was realistic on timing of things for what is possible so we did not get behind schedule or miss anything. Could not recommend Jenny enough. -
