We had the most incredible experience working with Bloomingdale Golf Club for our wedding on 10.18.2024! From start to finish, everything about the venue and the team completely exceeded our expectations. Awilda was absolutely amazing! She was in charge of our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator. Awilda was incredibly responsive—no matter the time of day, we could always count on her to reply to our emails quickly and at any time. Making the entire planning process so much less stressful. Awilda and the Bloomingdale Golf Club went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. She worked with us to adjust plans to fit our style. We planned our wedding in less than seven months, and they made it happen! We even decorated a few tables ourselves and simply told her how we wanted them set up—she handled it all beautifully and made it so easy for us. She also went the extra mile by calling and communicating with our vendors to handle everything without needing to reach out to us, which was a HUGE weight off our shoulders. The entire staff at the venue was incredible!!! And let’s talk about the food! The appetizers were AMAZING and so delicious. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection. During our tasting, we didn’t receive steak knives and were a little concerned, but wow—the steaks were so tender and flavorful that our butter knives sliced right through them! On our wedding day, the food was even better. We received SO MANY compliments from our guests about the food and those steaks. The entire day Awilda was running around and taking care of every little detail to make our wedding perfect. We are so happy we chose this venue to host our special day. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them. Oh, and the drinks—AMAZING! Everyone talked about how delicious the margaritas were. We are so happy with how everything turned out and will be recommending the Bloomingdale Golf Club to everyone we know. We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Bloomingdale Golf Club last year Aug 12. It was easily the easiest choice we made regarding the wedding. The venue was beautiful with lovely windows that let a lot of natural light in and had a fantastic view. Melissa and her team, from the first visit to the last, were attentive, easy to work with, very accommodating, and answered all our questions and concerns quickly. They made things so smooth and easy during the meetings that led up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. The food was phenomenal. Their food tasting like everything they do, was well organized. We had to move some seats around the day of and Melissa made sure that everything went according to plan. Without their team, our wedding would not have been as big a success and enjoyable as it was. We would 100 percent recommend them over and over. -

We got married here on 06/03/23 and we couldn't recommend it more! Karen, Awilda, and Melissa could not have been more helpful. I had a vision of what we wanted for our big day and they made it come true. They truly are a full service venue and know their stuff. They are fair priced and tell you like it is. We have absolutely no complaints and anyone would be lucky to host their wedding here. -

The BEST Ceremony & Reception Venue!!!
Selecting Bloomingdale Golf Club for our ceremony site and reception venue was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! Melissa was very responsive and did everything she possibly could to eliminate any stress from wedding planning that I had. I was a very detail oriented bride (emailing Melissa all kinds of random questions) and at times indecisive (changed my mind on the food and add-ons like 100 times), so I cannot thank Karen, Melissa, and the Bloomingdale Golf Club team for their patience and kindness every step of the way! All of our guests truly said that the food (the steaks were huge and cooked to perfection!) was absolutely incredible and the best meal they've had at a wedding by far and I absolutely agree! I seriously cannot rave more about the food and drink package because you truly get the best value for your money. The overall set up of the venue and ceremony space was immaculate - none of our vendors had a single issue setting up and our guests loved the outdoor space during the reception. The pictures on the course turned out BEAUTIFUL and we loved that a member of the BGC team drove our bridal party and us around the golf course for pictures. The BGC team did all the set up and tear down of all of our décor and treated the items with great care. It was very evident that they truly cared about making our wedding day special and I KNOW they will do the same for you! Thank you Melissa, Karen, and the whole BGC team for making our wedding day absolutely incredible! -

We can't express how much we loved working with BGC. The wedding team is exceptional. Not only are they so friendly but make you feel like family. They were there every step of the way with all questions and ideas we had for our big day. The ballroom was perfect for our 85 person wedding with a beautiful overlook on the golf course with a balcony. Venues often times have average banquet food but the appetizers, salads, soup, and dinner were ALL YUMMY! Working with their cake partner Central Continental was equally as great and a delicious experience. They were so helpful to get our decor and all details set up. Seriously so flexible and caring about everything. Outdoor ceremony was 10/10 for pictures, locations, you name it. Don't pass these guys up! -

After leaving our first choice venue, my fiancé and I were scrambling to find a new venue 4 months out. I inquired right away with Bloomingdale Golf Club and just our luck they had our October 8th date available. We booked with them right away and without hesitation, Karen and her amazing team, Melissa and Awilda, took us under their wing and ensured we would be taken care of. I was still reeling with dealing with our last venue so this brought so much relief. Their tasting was superb to figuring out the setup of the room and our theme, I can't even begin to describe how spectacular they were.
The day of our wedding was perfect! From the decorations to communicating with our vendors, BGC knew exactly what to do. I had this vision of what I wanted my wedding day to be and they NAILED IT. NAILED IT! Oh, btw, our guests could not stop raving about the food especially their steak. I still replay the day over and over again.
Karen, Melissa, and Awilda, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of this anxious bride. I was so worried that things wouldn't go as planned but, WOW, the day was exactly what I pictured and so much more. If I had to rate you on a scale of 1-10, I'd give this team and venue 1 million stars. It really was a day to remember and I am always going to remember your amazing hospitality and care. You all really treated us like family! Thank you for everything! -

We had our wedding 6/5/21- my husband and I could not have picked a better team and a wedding venue than Bloomingdale Golf Club! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, Karen made our wedding dreams come true. She and her team are so genuine and such professionals. When we had to postpone our wedding at the start of 2020 because of the pandemic, they were so understanding. They have answered my million questions over the past two years all while doing so with a smile because they truly cared about making our wedding day special. I have had many guests tell me it was the best wedding food they have ever had! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. -

We had a wonderful wedding thanks to Bloomingdale Golf Club (BGC). All of our wedding planning happened pre-pandemic, and every step of the way BGC was amazing to work with, But I really want to talk about how wonderful they were to us during the pandemic. Our original wedding date was in March 2020, and less than a week before our day, we had to cancel due to COVID restrictions. As I was freaking out about what to do and how to handle this, one of my biggest worries was how our venue would work with us. I still remember my phone call with Karen and how she was and assured me that one way or another we would figure this out. We decided to book a new date later in the year thinking everything would be back to normal by then. Well, as we all know, things did not go back to normal and we had to cancel again. My husband and I decided to get married with just our parents and grandparents in attendance. Since we could not have a big reception, I was hoping to celebrate with a private dinner somewhere but given the times, that was hard to navigate. I never thought BGC would let us go from a 200+ reception to a 12 person reception, but I contacted them to see what they thought. They were more than willing to accommodate this and worked with us to make our day as special as possible. Although not what we had initially planned, we had an amazing wedding reception at BGC and the perfect wedding day. As we went through all the postponing, rescheduling, canceling, etc. so many people asked me, "what about the venue, how have they been" and my response was always, "they have been amazing." With so much going on it was such a relief to have a venue that was so understanding and kind to work with. The space is beautiful and the team really goes above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. I don't think we ever heard the word no from them, they were always willing to accommodate everything we asked. When we first booked, we had already met with other venues and none of them made us feel the way Karen and the BGC staff did, from day one they treated us like their friends and seemed as excited as we were for our wedding. I am grateful to have had them as our venue, I truly do not think we would have had the wedding we did without their commitment to making our day as special as possible. -

This was the best decision we made for our wedding day. Karen and her dedicated team made sure our day was seamless. The venue is beautiful from the outdoor ceremony space, to the veranda for cocktail hour, and the beautiful reception space with the large window overlooking the golf course. Karen and Lisa were so easy to work with and blessed us with every one of our wishes. After the wedding, guests commented on how delicious the food was. And we heard so many comments on how amazing Lisa was behind the bar! Karen, thank you so much for making our day one we will never forget! -

Gorgeous venue with the best staff!
The absolute BEST wedding venue in the western suburbs! We looked at almost 10 other venues before making our way here, and the moment we sat down with Karen and Lisa, toured the gorgeous grounds, and learned about the amazingly priced food and alcohol packages, we knew this was the place we want to get married! Karen and Lisa were gracious with answering all our questions leading up to the big day and always sent us reminders when a due date was approaching. On the day itself... there are no words. Karen used her impressive vision to bring our dreams come true. Because we planned to have the ceremony outside, we needed a plan B in case the weather didn't cooperate, and of course, it started to downpour 30 minutes before our ceremony. Karen immediately jumped into action and she and her team moved the ceremony inside and helped all our guests get situated and comfortable. They were very kind and accommodating with our dog, who we really wanted to have in the ceremony. We have become part of the Bloomingdale Golf Club family. We HIGHLY recommend the Bloomingdale Golf Club and if given the choice again, we could pick this venue hands down. -

Everything You Could Want & More!
Our experience with BLoomingdale Golf Club was absolutely amazing. Karen and her staff treat you like family, and they go above and beyond the essentials to ensure your day is absolutely perfect. Our day ran as smoothly as it possibly could have. We are still getting compliments about how amazing the service, food, and ambiance of the room were that day. Karen was always accommodating, quick to respond, and willing to lend a helping hand when needed. The golf course makes for an amazing back drop for pictures, as does all of the natural lighting in the banquet room. -

Beautiful Venue!
Karen and Lisa were so helpful and on top of everything for the whole wedding planning process and especially the day of for our wedding on 8/31. They made sure everything flowed seamlessly. The food was great and the venue was beautiful for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour! -

Everything you expect and more from venue staff
Our wedding at Bloomingdale Golf Club was nothing short of spectacular! Karen was such a pleasure to work with, she is so accommodating and made everything easy for us. Wedding planning can be so stressful but the owners and staff made it a fun, positive experience with their friendliness and professionalism. Such a beautiful venue inside and out, we couldn't have picked a better place to have our special day! -

I cannot thank Karen Helmig and her team at Bloomingdale Golf Club for helping us bring to life our ideas for our reception! The guest loved their food - appetizers and dinner and all - and the taco bar was AMAZING!!! Our room looked phenomenal and everything was just perfect! From the moment we checked out the venue, my mom and my fiancé (now husband) and I felt so at ease speaking to Karen and her husband Jeff - they answered our questions and went above and beyond in terms of customer service!
Karen was very supportive of my picky creative vision and she just gets me and understood what I was going for :) Karen helped me track down the perfect color for linens (which we learned I picked a complicated color to match lol) and gave suggestions per my vision (really glad I got the chairs bc the room looked so amazing and I got a lot of compliments on how the whole reception looked and went). They set up my room so well with all my details I wanted including the set up of the seating shells!
Everyone was so helpful! Lisa also helped answer all random and piecemeal questions I have so quickly that I was able to make decisions on the fly! Karen made sure that hand off was a breeze and made me feel so comfortable to trust her with all the details so I am relaxed going into the big day!
During pictures, Jeff made sure that the groom and I were well taken care of from leading the photographers, helping with the dress as I get on the carts to making sure we were warm - so accommodating and thoughtful of us since it was cold out and my husband’s leg was bothering him during pictures. He was a trooper staying out with us and braving the cold through out the photo shoot. They are all so amazing to work with and would recommend their team to anyone a hundred times over! We are so happy with everything - thank you for being part of our story! -

From the moment we met Karen and saw the space we knew that this is where we wanted to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. Karen answered all my questions, whether by phone or email and allowed me to stop by on occasion so I could get a feel for the space as I narrowed down reception ideas. When we walked into the space before the cocktail hour, I just couldn't get over how beautiful the room looked. They made sure that every detail was in place and no item let undone. We were thrilled. We were able to enjoy the evening knowing that our reception was in the capable hands of Karen and Jeff from Catering with Elegance. -

Karly Sent on 10/14/2013Well, what is there for me to say about the Bloomingdale Golf Club? Our Oct. 5 wedding reception was amazing! My husband and I could not have been happier or more pleased with how everything turned out. After working with Karen for about 16 months throughout our engagement, she knew exactly how we wanted everything, and she executed our vision perfectly. It literally took my breath away when I walked into the reception room for the first time and saw everything come to life - it brought tears to my eyes! The staff was great throughout the reception, and everybody was very helpful and accommodating to me and my groom and our guests.
I cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding reception. Karen will work closely with you throughout the entire process, and you will form a close friendship with her instead of just talking to her as a vendor! It is a beautiful and scenic location for a wedding/reception and photos in the suburbs. Check it out - you won't be disappointed!
