We had to change our venue due to the WNC storm. Blo Charlotte did my wedding hair and also my mom, my 4 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls. It was a great experience. My up do looked beautiful, and best of all, it held all night. They did the cutest curls for my flower girls to go with their headdresses, and my bridesmaids got to choose one of their blo menu styles. I got my makeup done too and it was exactly what I wanted: natural and not too heavy but very pretty. It was a really fun way to start off my wedding day with mimosas and my best friends. Love the Blo Blow Dry Bar in Charlote! They make you feel beautiful and special from start to end. I loved my hair for my wedding and I felt like a fairy princess. I got married for the second time last month and wanted it all to be perfect. A friend recommended BLO blow dry bar for my hair and members of the wedding party. I was concerned that it was only for the younger woman but plucked up my courage and made an appointment anyway. The staff were amazing, warm and friendly but also extremely professional and knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble. They coordinated our five appointments with individual stylists so we could arrive and leave together and welcomed us with a glass of champagne that made the start of my wedding day relaxed and even more special. I went to Blo with my best friend from out of town for my birthday. I originally had a 2 o'clock appointment, but when our pedis ran long, I called to see if we could come 30 minutes later. Blo had no problem fitting us in a little later. Upon arrival, they wished me happy birthday and offered us mimosas. Yes, please! My friend and I were able to sit together while we were getting styled, which made the experience that much more fun. The stylists were nice and helpful with style suggestions. I used blo for my own wedding hair and for my 9 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls and MOB. They were great. You can tell they are very used to weddings! We arrived at 11 am and by 12:15pm we were all ready to go. They styled everyone at the same time: we had the whole place! I loved my updo. It stayed put all day and through the reception and they were so calm and patient, even when I was getting nervous and asked them to redo part of it. Highly recommend!
I didn't use them for makeup because I prefer to do my own, so can't comment on that. A couple of my out of town bridesmaids who had never visited a Blo bar before loved the experience (the music, champagne, friendliness of the staff - great environment!) but felt their curls/waves didn't last beyond lunch and make-up appointments, and the wedding ceremony was still a couple hours away. They each re-did/touched up their own hair, something I felt awful about since I picked Blo.
I had Yaz as a stylist (this is the second, and obviously most important, formal event I've used her for) and she is AMAZING. She's creative, patient, and so friendly! She's works well from photos but isn't afraid to change it up. My hair lasted all day/night.
