A 10-hour all day wedding/reception with 2 venues and five different spaces, 4 different music vendors, a year and half of planning and 20 times the intricate details of a normal wedding, plus hours of morphing into a wedding therapist… this is what Samar of Blissful Events pulled off flawlessly for our big day. Samar was my first call when I began searching for a wedding planner, and after interviewing dozens of wedding planners, she was also my last. She not only hears you but listens, really listens - she has an ear and an eye for your perfect vision, and also when you just need to vent. Her warmness makes you feel comfortable the moment you meet her.
Known as a type A corporate executive with eight arms that gets things done “yesterday”, it’s challenging for me to delegate. Samar had no problem keeping up with the fast pace and made sure she was always 10 steps ahead. More importantly, she gained my trust, reassured and slowed me down when I needed it the most, and was feeling completely overwhelmed, and took the ball and ran with it. This was my first wedding, and I wanted everything perfect. Samar didn’t miss a beat. It didn’t take long for her expertise to become evident.
I am also known to be extremely selective and maintain high expectations of my business partners and vendors. I conveyed my high standards to Samar right away and she didn’t flinch. Confidence, professionalism, event/wedding planning knowledge and savviness, beautiful transformations, thinking outside the box, calm under pressure, efficient team, results oriented and solution based are all attributes at Samar’s core.
When you start to plan your film of another life chapter with a wedding and your forever partner, you want Samar Hattar at the opening, throughout every scene and in the closing credits, and you’ll end up with the perfect fairytale ending. -

Samar was phenomenal! I know from our initial intake call that I could trust her to make my surprise destination engagement in Sonoma CA a magical moment. She was very detailed oriented, had a great working relationship with local vendors, and was outstanding as we secured each vendor leading up to the event. Also living in TX, she continuously followed up to ensure all the details were exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend her for your wedding or engagement planning in the Sonoma and Napa wine country area. -

Must-have planner
Where do I even begin? In planning our wedding, and even having never had a wedding planner before, I am positive there is NO BETTER TEAM OUT THERE than Samar and Blissful Events.
We interviewed several planners for our wedding in Northern California and were met with much disappointment - others were unprepared, taking a quick intake call after a workout or while driving in the car. However, when we met with Samar for our initial intake, she was the CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONAL. It was very clear she wanted to make sure our wedding day was about US having fun as a key priority - she walked us through prior events she had done and had clearly thought about ideas to pitch to us, showing she had done her homework and cared about us as a couple.
After agreeing to work together, the planning process was a breeze. She was a great communicator, and although she had to nudge us a few times to make decisions during the process, she did it, again, very professionally and kindly, which speaks to her character as a TRULY CARING, HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND HIGH PERFORMING PERSON. I couldn't believe how fun planning was after hearing horror stories from others during their planning process - and this ease was completely due to Samar.
Her taste level is also above and beyond, redefining what a luxury wedding means. Although we didn't have a limitless budget, Samar was very respectful of our wishes and constantly worked with us to create a breathtaking eventscape that blew all of our guests away.
On the wedding day, although we were stressed, Samar kept a cool head and easily escorted us to the ceremony, to photos, and to dinner and dancing. She added a PERSONAL TOUCH, not settling for a typical "herding the masses" experience for our guests, and personally invited them from space to space. Whatever unavoidable hiccups came about she handled with ease. Again, she made the event completely about us, and we had the most incredible day of our lives because of Samar.
This is not to leave out the countless little things in between - encouraging messages just because, thoughtful gifts, and fun ideas about how we could make sure the planning process was a time for us to reflect about our journey as a couple. This is the personal touch that MAKES BLISSFUL EVENTS AN ABOVE-AND-BEYOND WEDDING PLANNING COMPANY.
To summarize: If I could give a Michelin star to a planner, Samar and Blissful events would win my full 3/3 star rating. And a 10/10, 5/5, whatever the exceptional category is. BOOK WITH THEM, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Thank you to Samar and her team for making our day unforgettable! -

The best in the biz!
Your search ends here! Samar is absolutely top notch and amazing. She was always there to answer ANY and ALL questions I had throughout our engagement no matter how big our small - and had the best answers to them all. I do not know how she does it! Our timeline was perfect, her vendor recommendations were perfect - she got who we were as a couple and what we were trying to execute in terms of our vision for the day of. I was freaking out the week prior and Samar was my rock. The day of, I put placing all of our decor in her hands - and dang, even I could not have done a better job even though it was my vision! It was better than I could have imagined. On top of all this, she is so fun, sweet, down to earth and an incredible human being. -

Sarah Sent on 01/25/2018Samar was amazing to work with and made our wedding beautiful and perfect down to every detail. From our first phone conversation with Samar we knew she was a perfect fit for us with her friendly, inviting, professional, responsive, organized, detail-oriented and calm personality. She worked closely with us and listened to all our ideas and guided us through all the necessary decisions for our big day. Every wedding has unexpected challenges but Samar was prepared for them all… some major heroics include picking up flowers to supplement our frozen bouquets from venue fridges that were turned all the way to cold, repairing the groom’s boutonniere with a new floral pin after the rose broke in half after a hug. We gave Samar our vision but on the wedding day there’s no time to discuss details, she executed everything flawlessly and we were so impressed at how perfect the day was down to every detail. Our wedding day was even more amazing than we could have imagined. Look no further, Samar is amazing and you will have nothing to worry about on your wedding day if you work with her.

We feel so fortunate to have worked with her and can't imagine what our wedding would been like without her. We gave Samar a vision of a California themed wedding without much detail and she took the idea and ran with it. She quickly got to know us and designed a wedding that was the best reflection of us and our relationship that we could have ever hoped for.
Samar's best qualities:
- Her personal touch. She quickly picked up on and adjusted to both our personalities and how we operate. She pushed us to make decisions when appropriate but never put pressure on us to make those decisions. And looking back on the year of planning we appreciate her calmness and your reassurances throughout the process.
- Samar's fantastic knowledge of and connections with vendors. Samar presented us with the best options for vendors so finely tuned to what she knew was our vision for our wedding.
- Samar understands the importance and value that planning a wedding should be fun! She made the whole process fun from start to finish and we will remember not only the wedding, but the entire process leading up to it as a wonderful time in our lives.

Samar is amazing! We planned our wedding from a distance - living in Michigan planning for a wedding in Sonoma, CA. Samar help to create a beautiful wedding down to the very last detail. She provided tons of recommendations of vendors to use in the area and even went out of her way to meet with vendors that we found who were not on the list of recommendations from the venue to ensure their quality and work!
Planning a destination wedding is hard (and may I say stressful!!!) but Samar made it painless and almost too easy. The timeline flowed smoothly, every detail came together perfectly and not a thing went wrong on the day of the wedding (or at least if it did she did a great job at covering it up from the bride!!). As the bride, I was so worried about all that I would have to do once I arrived In California for the wedding week but really aside from last minute arts and crafts, Samar helped to console my worries and stresses that the day would be perfect as well as ensure that the vendors all came together to do just that and make it a dream come true. The day prior and the day of the wedding our families and ourselves did not do a thing for the wedding, instead we left it up to Samar and took her up on some of her local recommendations and went out wine tasting instead of stressing!
I could not have been more grateful to fall upon such a wonderful panner. She made the day (and ALL the days) leading up to the wedding easy, painless as it could be and fun! She has such a fun and loving personality that she blended in perfectly with our guests and seemed like one of them herself!
We cannot thank you enough Samar (and team!). You and work work are absolutely beautiful!!

I had total confidence in her, and knew she had everything under control, which left me worry free on our big day. We only paid for a day of wedding planner, but Samar was there for us every step of the way. As soon as we signed the contract we copied her on all our vendor interactions. She met with us several times prior to the wedding so we could provide her updates, so she could ensure we were both on the same page. She was a total sweetheart and a gem to work with. There aren't enough words for us to express our deepest gratitude. -

From the moment I met her she was amazing and made me feel comfortable that she knew what she was doing. I can honestly say that I did not stress out about the wedding at all! She took care of everything. She provided us with the best vendors at a price we could afford. We looked forward to every meeting with her and I completely trusted her advice and opinions. She asked me for my vision and created it in a way I couldn't have imagined. Over all she is a great business woman but also someone who becomes a part of your life. Her warm personality makes the entire process fun and worry free. I would suggest her to anyone and everyone I know who is getting married. In my opinion, it takes a special kind of person to deal with the responsibility of planning a couples BIG day, on in which will only happen one time. That is extreme pressure but Samar handles it with grace and a beautifully positive attitude. There are so many people that are involved in planning your wedding. Samar Hattar is absolutely the person you want leading your team! :)
