Craig and his team made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. He took the time to understand our musical preferences, timeline, and any special requests. His professionalism and dedication were evident throughout the process.

As emcee for the reception, Craig was nothing short of spectacular. He smoothly transitioned from one part of the evening to the next, ensuring that our reception was just what we hoped it would be.

What truly sets Craig apart is his ability to read the room and play the perfect music to keep the party going. We were hesitant to relinquish control of the song selection, but all we can say is trust his judgement! He understood the crowd and effortlessly adjusted the playlist to make sure everyone was having a blast. His sense of what the crowd wanted was truly remarkable. His song choices were spot-on and reflected the unique vibe of our celebration. All the while constantly checking in with us to make sure everything was going as we hoped.

Great Service That Catered to Our Desires

From the moment I called Black Tie DJ's, I felt like I was in good hands. Betty was responsive and able to answer all my questions quickly, plus provide guidance. We wanted danceable music that was played at a reasonable sound level for our guests and they provided that without question. The music played after dinner was perfect with a good mix of slow to fast songs. The favorites I listed in advance were played and mixed in well with the other music chosen by the DJ.

April Wedding

Betty in the office was professional and responsive. Our DJ Jim went over the details with us the week of and he did not disappoint on the big day. He played the perfect music (with little instruction from us) and had our guests dancing all night long. A true professional that makes the event about guests and guests of honor. Everyone had a fantastic time thanks to our amazing DJ.

The Perfect Day!

Black Tie DJs was an amazing choice for our wedding! Betty was super helpful in getting everything set up for our big day and day of Craig was a wonderful DJ. He really understood what kind of music we liked and kept the party going all night long! We got many compliments from our guests on how awesome the music was. I would def recommend Black Tie DJs!

Black Tie DJs

We were very happy with the services provided by Black Tie Djs - professional and friendly! Our Dj, Jim, was amazing!! The bride and groom requested his help in putting a playlist together and Jim worked with them and made it happen. Jim was responsible for two set ups- one at the chapel and the other at the hall. The transition from the chapel to the hall was smooth. Anything we asked for he delivered. Most importantly, he had everyone on that dance floor. Very professional and friendly! I highly recommend them.

Jim was fabulous!

We used Black Tie DJ's for our July 20th wedding. They were quick to respond and had our date available. We planned our wedding in less than 2 months. Jim was a great DJ. He knew when to get the music up to get people on the dance floor and then when to have the music quiet for meals etc.

Greg is the MAN!!!

Planning a 4 hour ceremony/reception can be stressful since you have a tight timeline and our music was super important to us.
It was after my conversation with DJ Greg a week prior to our wedding date that put my mind at ease that our day would run flawless. We provided our own playlist with very specific songs at very specific times.
Our day was PERFECT and Greg was AMAZING! He far exceeded our expectations!
We couldn't be more pleased with the overall service from Black Tie and if we ever had a need for a DJ in the future, we would 100% use them again. Fair priced, responsive customer service and easy to work with DJ's.

Our DJ, Craig, was fantastic on our wedding day. From start to finish, he did a great job with requests from us, our guests and picking from his own list based on the vibe of the dance floor. Fantastic!

Our DJ was amazing! He called us a few days before our wedding to go over our songs, special requests, etc. We had some last minute changes the day of the wedding, and he was responsive immediately. He arrived on time, but had to wait for the tent company who was very late. He was great throughout the reception, and we had so much fun. The tent company arrived earlier than our contract agreed to, so the DJ, as well as all of us, were forced out of our own reception. He grabbed his equipment and helped us move our items as well. He was wonderful! I'm really glad we chose this company!

Craig did a wonderful job. He is great to work with and he is at the venue early and prepared. Music was one of the most important aspects of the wedding for us. Great Service

This is my second time hiring Black Tie DJ's. They are professional, played exactly what we wanted and kept the party going until the cops showed up (true story)! Everyone had a blast despite the minor hiccup. Would highly recommend Black Tie DJ's.

Great service, great experience!

Dj Craig did a phenomenal job at our wedding ceremony and reception. Not only was it great to work with him and Betty personally on all of our requirements but on the day he showed up and managed to balance everything, despite two set-ups, looming bad weather and a short timeline. Our guests had a great time and we were thankful to black tie djs for making this happen.

Black tie DJs was amazing to work with! Betty was super responsive when I first emailed and asked questions. She was super helpful! Then about a week before our wedding they got in touch with us to schedule a call with DJ Craig. They were flexible with scheduling a call with us as we were from out of town and spent a lot of time before our wedding traveling and on the road. DJ Craig was just amazing! Everyone loved him and he definitely knew what he was doing. I was worried about getting inside the venue on time for our entrance because we were taking too long doing photos but he was right there waiting for us ensuring that everything would happen smoothly! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Chuck kept our guests dancing all night!

Black Tie DJ's was extremely responsive and professional. Our DJ, Chuck was outgoing and made it very clear that he wanted to make it perfect for us. We had a very mixed crowd of mostly middle-aged adults, older adults and children (not many 20-somethings is what I'm getting at) so I wasn't sure what genres of music would keep them on their feet, but Chuck read the crowd beautifully and played perfectly danceable music for everyone. The kids also had a blast putting in their requests which was very sweet of Chuck. I'd hire them again in an instant! He even asked for the color scheme of the wedding ahead of time to be sure he wore coordinating colors. Thanks Chuck!

Exactly What We Were Looking For!

Music made the day

The music provided pleasant background while we were eating. Then the dancing began and it was the highlight of the whole party. Without the music, the whole afternoon would not have been a great as it was.

Absolutely fantastic!!

We had a destination wedding, so I was very nervous booking vendors I wasn’t able to meet with in person. But Betty was so great to work with from the start. She was so nice, and always got back to me right away with any questions I had so I knew I was in good hands. We had DJ Craig and he was absolutely outstanding! He had the whole wedding up dancing and having fun. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it and he also followed my timeline to a T. Everyone commented on how great he was. DJ Craig (I think the owner) is who helped us and he was an awesome DJ. Good music selection and he offered advise on timing. He has a lot of experience so I would recommend him for any couple being married.

DJ Brian is Awesome!!

I would 100% recommended Black Tie DJs for any special occasion! I’m from PA and had a destination wedding in Sarasota, FL. Betty couldn’t of been more pleasant to work with and made the long distance planning very easy and took a lot of stress off of me. We had DJ Brian at our wedding and I couldn’t of asked for a better DJ, he truly made everyone at my wedding have a great time! He called me a week or two before my wedding and answered all the questions I had and listened to all my requests. We could not have asked for a better DJ

Brian was AMAZING at our wedding. We could not have asked for a better DJ. He was so kind from the first phone call and so much fun at our reception. He made us the most stress-free perfect time-line. All we had to do was show up and he took it from there.
He made sure every part of our reception ran smoothly and transitioned perfectly.

The music he played was wonderful and we are still receiving compliments from our guests on how great Brian was. He respected our "do not play" list and played all of our requests as well. I honestly cannot say enough great things.

His music was clear and loud, but not too loud. He was very professional and very upbeat. Always made sure our guests were involved and on the dance floor-and we don't ever dance!

When booking we spoke with Betty and she was always quick to reply and made everything very easy with booking and payments. This was such a positive experience from the first point of contact.

Made our wedding!

Craig did a fantastic job as our DJ for our wedding! He set up so that he could play two songs during the ceremony, played great suggested music that fit the cocktail and dinner time, and then got everyone moving for dancing! Betty was responsive with every email and question.

Awesome! DJ Chuck was great!

We had an awesome experience working with Black Tie DJs. The planning/organizing portion was easy to manage mostly by email or phone. I loved that Chuck was happy to have as many song suggestions as we wanted because we had accumulated quite a list! And the day of, he was right on time and everything was perfect! Even when we suddenly needed him to do the ceremony music as well, he let us have exactly what we wanted and played everything flawlessly.

Wonderful experience!

We had DJ Craig do our wedding on Sunday April 14th. His attentiveness, flexibility and attitude were beyond what we could have asked for. We asked to extend for another hour and he did so no questions asked. I was so worried about people not dancing at my wedding but he definitely had people up and dancing all night, even on a Sunday!

We thoroughly enjoyed having DJ Brian as our wedding DJ! Black Tie DJs currently has a paper form to complete before the DJ will contact you. We made several song selections and then turned in our forms. Brian called us right away to discuss the day and provided a seamless timeline. He was very fast with communication and right on point with his song selections. We had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE night...no lie. Brian was amazing and provided a great service for our ceremony and reception. We had so many guests ask us how we managed to pick out so many great songs. We had to give the credit to Brian for keeping them entertained all night! I would definitely suggest Black Tie DJs for your wedding/event and make sure you ask for Brian!

I went to a friends wedding years ago and remember her DJ was great so I booked the same DJ for my wedding, he works for Black Tie DJs and his name is Brian. I contacted him a few months before about his availability for my wedding and to go over prices. He was very prompt and professional at getting back to me. We was available and we booked! My now husband and I are in our late 20’s but wanted music that was not really top 40. We like 90’s-2000 music and oldies. I had made a list of songs, artists and genres that I wanted to hear, and also a few examples of what we didn’t want to hear. He did have lists of music for us to chose from but I had already made a list before we booked. A few days before the wedding he called and we went over every detail from timeline, to introductions and how to pronounce everyones name. It took about 30 minutes and was very easy. The day of the wedding Brian arrived on time and very nicely dressed. He made it a point to come to me before the ceremony to see if there was anything I needed from him before we started. He had a set up for my ceremony and reception which was all at the same venue. My officiant sounded perfect and and so did the entire day! Everyone had such a fantastic time and I got so many compliments on Brian the DJ. He played exactly the type of music we went over and if people asked for different music, we trusted his discretion on if he would play it or not and I’m telling you he couldn’t have been better! He really took the time to know what we wanted and delivered! I would recommend him for any event!

The best compliment we received of our wedding reception was that it felt like a John Hughes movie which to me is amazing and I owe so much of that to the soundtrack that will forever play in my mind when I look at the pictures. I had sent Craig a do not play which he devotedly respected (I appreciate!) and paid special attention to notes I left with the ones we really wanted played. We had popular songs, obscure songs - we were all over the spectrum and Craig let it flow seamlessly through the speakers to all our enjoyment. He is very kind and helps keep the bridal party on track too for speeches and pictures and cake (an important part for me - he even led us in the best singing of Happy Birthday to our twin ring bearer and flower girl). We can't say enough good things about Craig and the Black Tie DJs - they were the best choice and I can honestly say I had the best time at my own wedding and boy did I dance.!!!! (After our kiss we came down the ceremony aisle to Modern English's "I Melt With You" and that set the tone for the party to come.

Chuck was amazing! He was very thoughtful and was a pleasure to work with. I was so surprised when he took Derek and me through the buffet line first and held our plates as we got our food. Overall Black Tie DJs were fantastic. My husband and I were planning our wedding from afar (with me in Scotland and my husband in WA state). With our questions and phone calls, they were really supportive and encouraging of anything we needed. On the day Craig was a fantastic presence and coordinated well with our venue and photographer. We had supplied our music choices plus a few others and Craig managed to capture the exact vibe we were hoping for. Our guests have commented that they haven't been to a wedding in years where everyone was dancing the majority of the time, and it was a hot day! The wrong version of our final song of the night was played, it is a Scottish tradition to play this song so I think the only ones that noticed would have been me and the few Scottish guests. It didn't put a damper on anything and we ended the night on a high. We still think Craig was a great choice and are happy we went with Black Tie DJs.

DJ Ray made our reception perfect! You could tell he's been DJ-ing for a while and was a blast to have around. My now husband and I had some different ideas for our reception and he accommodated all requests with pleasure. He never made us feel like we were asking too much. We had a very specific song that we wanted for our fost dance and it is not well known and then on top of that a very specific version. He seemed to have no problem finding it. He took song request. We also asked people to put song requests on our invitations and he played everyone's song. We couldn't not say enough things about how great this company was to work with and in my opinion very reasonably proces for the quality you get!!

Chuck and the entire Black Tie DJs staff exceeded our expectations for our wedding day. They provided DJ service for our outside ceremony and reception at IMG Golf Club. Chuck was a pleasure to work with and made the planning process simple. We were able to have a phone meeting with him to go over all of our song requests. We were provided with an entire outline of our music and timeline for our ceremony/reception. On our wedding day we were given a CD of both our ceremony and reception music which was an awesome gift to have! Many of our guests commented on how awesome Chuck was and how he kept the party going the entire night! I would definitely recommend Black Tie Djs...Chuck was amazing! Everyone had a great time!

Craig was awesome, from identifying the music our families and friends enjoyed to personalizing our reception to our requests! Everyone attending said that it was the most fun they had ever experienced at a wedding, and Craig was a huge part of it. The dance floor was always packed, the timing for toasts and all events during the reception was on point. Finally, when looking for a DJ in Sarasota, Betty from Black Tie DJs responded within five minutes from my initial email and I spoke with our DJ Craig shortly after. Craig was already familiar with the Hyatt Regency and the room we were using which added comfort. With all the planning we had to do, it was great not to have to worry about the DJ.

We were so happy with the service of Blacktie DJ Craig! He was amazing! Everything couldn't of been more perfect! From doing all the announcements to keeping our guests up and dancing all night! He played all our requests at the most perfect timings! Highly recommend him for any occasion that requires this type of service! Thanks again Craig! You made our wedding day that more perfect!!

DJ Brian was awesome! He was extremely kind and considerate, checking in throughout the night and making sure we were happy with how everything was going. He played a lot of the songs we requested and the songs he personally selected were very well received. He definitely knows how to read a crowd and our guests of all ages remarked on how much they liked the DJ. We could not have asked for a better experience - thank you DJ Brian!

DJ Ray with Black Tie DJs was awesome! He was fantastic leading up to and during the wedding. Betty was extremely responsive and provided lots of support. Highly recommend DJ Ray and Black Tie DJs!

Black Tie DJ's are THE BEST!! I HIGHLY recommend them! Absolutely love Betty, Craig, and the other DJ's I've worked with over the years for each event - they do a SUPER JOB!!

Chuck was amazing! He made the evening so much fun for us. Bonus... he originated from near my hometown! Such a nice guy! He made sure that everyone was on the dance floor and he kept the evening going with great song choices (ok so we said what we liked and he made it all run smoothly). Everyone commented on what a great time they had and how much fun the evening was. We didn't want it to end....

Chuck was SO amazing and professional. We unfortunately had an emergency situation at our wedding and chuck handled it very well and helped the attention to get away from the situation and continue the wedding celebrations. We are very thankful for him.
