We cannot say enough good things about Cynthia and the Black Eyed Susan catering team! They went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly unforgettable and we’re still getting compliments from guests about how amazing and flavorful the food was! Not only was the food delicious, but they were also willing to work with us to provide a family style meal and travel to our non-traditional mountain venue and cook everything fresh on-site. The level of service was incredible and the attention to detail was evident in every dish, down to the decorative flower on each serving tray! Cynthia was professional, flexible, and so easy to work with. Their dedication to making sure everything was perfect, including all food allergies were attended to, really shone through. We are so grateful and highly recommend Black Eyed Susan Catering for anyone looking for a top-notch, memorable catering experience! -

Black Eyed Susan took care of everything we needed for our catering and bartending on the day of our wedding. All the food was cooked on site so everything was super fresh. They had amazing appetizers for our cocktail hour. The mashed potatoes with leek butter at dinner was the biggest hit!!!! -

The best wedding food I have ever tasted!
I married the love of my life on June 15, 2024 and the first thing we searched for was our catering team. If you are going to have a party, you must have amazing food, right!? I think this was my biggest concern for the wedding day! I knew right away during the tasting that the food would be the last thing I will need to worry about, because the tasting was incredible! I could go on and on about the appetizers! Then came the main course, the chicken was absolutely delicious, juicy and well prepared! The steak was very well marinated and tender. All of the sides were fantastic as well. I was truly so happy we found Black Eyed Susan!!! Everyone enjoyed their dinner and it was a beautiful night!! Cynthia and her staff were incredible! Cynthia is so thoughtful, fun, and friendly! The food from the appetizers to the entrees and sides was absolutely delicious! The staff was so efficient, friendly, and and took care of all our guests perfectly! I highly recommend using Cynthia and Black Eyed Susan Catering to anyone for any event! -

My husband and I choose Blackeyed Susan Catering because of the food selection she offered. We knew that we didn't want the same menu that you get at every other wedding. Blackeyed Susan Catering offers upscale southern food. Cynthia worked with us on exactly what we wanted! Her and her server's were amazing. I had a strange request for her and her servers, wear a masquerade mask while serving my guests. And they did! It turned out wonderful! All of them were super friendly! My guests loved all the food stations! If you want a different, unique food selection for your wedding, you won't be disappointed with Blackeyed Susan Catering! -

From planning to execution, the Black-eyed Susan team was 5 star. Head chef and organizer Cynthia was a pleasure to work with and gave needed guidance as to what and how to serve our wedding guests at a Covid-era reception. We enjoyed the seasonal selections and emphasis on fresh and local with artful presentation. Everything tasted amazing-like a party in my mouth. Cynthia was very accommodating and flexible as we finalized our plan. She worked closely with the wedding planner to order appropriate rentals. The wait staff gave excellent service and paid special attention to the bride and groom to make sure they got to enjoy the appetizers and a fully-packed "to go" box. I would highly recommend Black-eyed Susan Catering. -

From start to finish this company was excellent! They were so personable and easy to communicate with, which is exactly what we needed while planning an out of town wedding. They worked with us on creating a menu that was perfect for us and our guests and we were blown away by every bit of it! Definitely recommend! -

The Black- Eyed Susan team was amazing and provided exceptional service! They have so many delicious offerings and were very helpful in putting the menu together. The service team was extremely attentive making sure my groom and I had dinner plates right away and even brought us drink refills! The food was displayed beautifully and we received many compliments on how delicious everything was, highly recommend BES catering! -

We loved working with Cynthia and Black-eyed Susan. We had, had her food at a friend's wedding a couple of years back so knew how good it was. We had scheduled multiple tastings with other caterers but came back to Cynthia both because of the quality of the food and the pricing.
We had a biscuit bar, fried green tomatoes for apps, salad, pork sliders, fried chicken to DIE FOR and amazing greens (and more!). Cynthia was great to work with, very responsive and reassuring even doing my waffles when she wasn't as excited about them as I was :). Whenever there were any questions she responded professionally and was on it.
We are so pleased with how everything turned out. We still have guests saying it was the BEST wedding food they have ever had and asking for recipes. -

Black-Eyed Susan Catering offers a variety of southern favorites and their menu is delicious! Cynthia was fabulous to work with and we received rave reviews from our guests for the food served at our wedding. We would definitely recommend working with Cynthia and BES Catering for your event!
