We had a three-year engagement planned, specifically so we could take our time on the planning and ensure we had exactly what we wanted. We scheduled many venue viewings; Birch Hill was our first.....and last. From the second we walked into the venue we felt that feeling, when you know, you know. From the elegant lobby, to the two beautiful indoor options, we saw endless possibilities for our special day. We ultimately chose the Conservatory ballroom for our winter wedding. Our wedding planner was Serena, and that was no easy choice as every single event planner we met was fantastic, welcoming, and comforting. Serena was there for us any hour of the day with any question large or small. From the initial planning jitters, right down to the final inevitably stressful bridal-madness moments, Serena was there. I felt confident in her commitment to my day. Serena never made me feel like a bother, or an inconvenience. Now, to the special day...... From the moment I arrived at the venue, Serena greeted me and did everything she possibly could to ensure I felt not an ounce of pressure or anything other than joy. We chose the Ultimate package, and even customized the package to fit our needs opting for the self serve buffet style rather than plated meals. The number one piece of feedback we got from guests was how absolutely amazing the food was. The cocktail hour was so beautifully executed, one guest asked when the Bride and Groom were going to come enjoy dinner, and thought we were missing it! The events of the evening were perfectly aligned with all our views and dreams. I will recommend this venue wholeheartedly, forever. One of my absolute favorite memories is standing outside the ballroom, nervously about to enter, on my dads arm, and seeing Serena's smiling face open the door to my future. As my now husband and I exited the ceremony, she greeted us with two champagne glasses and a hug that felt like it was from an old friend. Absolutely perfect.Birch Hill Catering's reply:

From the very beginning of our wedding planning process, the team at Birch Hill was exceptional. Molly, Catherine, and William were incredible to work with and helped ease so much of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. The value you receive when booking Birch Hill is truly unmatched, and the amount of support and perks included made the entire experience so much easier.
From the moment we took our first tour, I knew Birch Hill was where I wanted to get married. It was obvious that their team genuinely cared about giving us the wedding day we had always envisioned. They wanted us to be happy, supported, and able to enjoy every moment—and that’s exactly what they delivered.
Having a coordinator throughout the planning process was invaluable. Molly and Catherine were my rocks from start to finish. This was the biggest and most expensive event I have ever planned, and I had no idea where to begin. Their expertise, guidance, and attention to detail were priceless, not only leading up to the wedding but on the wedding day itself. I always felt like a priority, and on my wedding day I truly felt like a princess.
I also want to give a special shout-out to William and the entire Birch Hill team for accommodating a last-minute change to our plans. We had always envisioned an outdoor wedding, but a sudden forecast of cold temperatures, wind, and rain made us decide that moving indoors would be the best option. William and his team made the transition happen almost instantly. I was genuinely amazed at how quickly and seamlessly they rearranged everything.
We ended up having our reception in the Conservatory, and it was absolutely stunning. When I walked in and saw all of my décor perfectly arranged and my vision brought to life, I literally cried tears of joy. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.
The entire Birch Hill team went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Between the breathtaking scenery, outstanding service, and unwavering support throughout the planning process, our wedding day was nothing short of magical. Everything went flawlessly, and I could not be happier that we chose Birch Hill for our dream wedding.
If you’re considering Birch Hill as your wedding venue, book it, you will not regret it. -

This was a perfect venue. Originally, we chose it for the food - the chefs are all CIA trained and the menu was very important to my husband. As we continued to work with them, Serena was wonderful. As an event planner myself, I appreciated her knowledge and professionalism, and her willingness to make just about anything I asked for happen. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, she made a number of excellent suggestions for things I hadn't even thought of that I incorporated into the day and, at the end of the night, she airdropped me something like 70 photos that she'd been taking throughout the day, which were wonderful to look through the next morning. I had an excellent experience here, and I would absolutely book another big event with Birch Hill and Serena. -

Birch Hill, and specifically Molly, were absolutely amazing. The lead up and wedding day felt so smooth due to her careful consideration of everything we would need. I could go on and on about the staff, their ability to be everywhere at all times without feeling overwhelming, the space and its beauty, and the flawless execution of the entire day but I will simply say that Birch Hill should be your number one choice for your special day. You will be so happy with their service, their character, and their ability to make your dreams come true. -

We truly got to have our dream wedding through Birch Hill. Serena was our coordinator and was so helpful throughout with lots of pro tips along the way. Both their indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces are beautiful which gave us peace of mind in case it had rained, but we were able to have ours in the "birdcage" spot on their grounds. Along with easy coordination, the food was excellent and we got so many compliments from our very happy guests. We went with the cocktail style package and were thrilled with our choices but don't think we could've gone wrong with any of their many options. My husband and I were both able to eat a lot and thoroughly enjoy ourselves because of the attentive staff. They also have extensive recommended vendors lists to make planning much easier. -

A wonderful venue run by outstanding people. 5 stars is not enough of a rating. Serena and her staff did an amazing job for my daughters wedding. She even handled an issue that was not hers. We can't say enough about her. I highly recommend Birch Hill Estate. -

Working with Birch Hill was an excellent experience, and they made our wedding day really special. We worked with Jared during the planning stage, and Joanne was our primary contact on the day of the wedding. Both Jared and Joanne were so nice, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They were a true pleasure to work with.
Jared is clearly very experienced and was a wealth of knowledge during the planning process, which made things a lot easier on us, especially regarding decision-making. He helped us to customize the event to make it just right for us and was incredibly accommodating to our requests and specifications.
Joanne was so attentive, checking in with us throughout the event, bringing us water and appetizers and napkins and drinks and making sure that we got enough to eat. The wedding day was such a blur, and we easily lost track of time talking to our guests, so it was incredibly helpful to have Joanne looking out for us.
All of the other staff were fantastic, as well. They were friendly, helpful, and professional.
The food was delicious! We enjoyed it very much and got so many compliments from our guests.

Our wedding took place at the Stablegate Barn, which was the perfect size for our party of around 65 people. Jared was our coordinator, and I don't have enough words to describe how amazing he was on our big day—let alone the time leading up to it and afterward. Our ceremony was scheduled for 4 p.m.; however, it had been raining since noon. The bride and I were ready to make the call to have an indoor ceremony instead of using the Hudson 360 hilltop (which has an absolutely GORGEOUS view). But not Jared—he diligently monitored the radar, made calls to check the storm's status, and repeatedly assured us that we’d have our hilltop ceremony. To everyone’s surprise, the skies cleared, and the sun shone down on us for the 30 minutes we needed for the ceremony and some mingling before the introductions began. During the reception, Jared was incredibly attentive—not only to us but to all our guests as well. We can’t wait to return for events at the attached winery! -

My husband John and I had our wedding on September 2024. I had a few wedding coordinators before we finally had the great privilege to work with Jared.
Jared was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. Jared went above and beyond in many ways. Jared was able get us food we didn’t get the chance at the tasting event. He even carried me went my feet hurt at the end. Like all weddings not everything goes as planned but Jared made everything seamless like it was always the plan. The food was delicious and I’m so pleased we chose to have our wedding at the lodge. -

My wedding experience at Birch Hill was incredible, and I owe so much of that to Serena and her amazing team! We started the booking process in early March, hoping for a September/October wedding date, and thankfully found one that worked. Serena was an absolute goddess from start to finish—she gave us a thorough tour of all the location options, answered every question, and made the entire process feel effortless. We knew almost immediately that no other venue would compare!
Since we were on a tight timeline, I reached out to Serena frequently with questions, and she always responded promptly and thoroughly. By our 90-day planning meeting, we were already so comfortable with everything, and Serena guided us seamlessly through food choices (of which there were so many!) and other details. Her expertise really shone through when I wasn’t sure about certain things; she made it all so simple and stress-free.
Speaking of the food—it was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had! We chose the Cocktail Style package and went with a wide range of options, including crispy calamari with lemon-garlic aioli, French onion soup, cider bacon-wrapped chicken, pulled pork wonton bites, and mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup shooters, among others. Every single bite was phenomenal! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potato bar and pasta station were crowd favorites. Our guests raved about the gourmet French fry station that we had later in the night. While we handpicked the items, I genuinely believe that anything else on their menu would have been just as amazing—the quality and flavors were out of this world.
On the big day, I felt so confident in Serena and her team—it was like everything was taken care of before I could even think about it. I truly felt like I had nothing to worry about and could be fully present in every moment, which made the day even more magical. They thought of every detail, big and small, allowing me to simply enjoy and soak it all in.
At the end of the night, everything was packed up perfectly and already in my car before I even stopped partying! If I had to give any constructive feedback, it would be about the bridal suite. It was a very warm day for late September, and the air conditioning hadn’t been turned on before we arrived, so the suite was quite hot initially. Other than that, our ceremony by the pond was absolutely beautiful. While the mosquitos and some goose droppings were a minor annoyance, the setting was otherwise perfect and so romantic.
All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Serena’s commitment and attention to detail made our wedding truly unforgettable! -

Amazing experience
We had our wedding here this past weekend! All of our guest (and us) can’t stop talking about how amazing it was. Jisung was amazing to work with every step of the way. We had been searching for a while for a venue before we landed upon Birch Hill. The minute my (now husband!) and I walked into the Conservatory Ballroom, we KNEW that was where we wanted to throw the best wedding reception ever! The staff was amazing, and Serena was the most amazing coordinator I could have ever asked for. Josh and I were treated like absolute ROYALTY all day! They made our plates for us, brought us drinks throughout the night, kept everything organized, and had all of our belongings neatly placed and ready to go at clean up time this morning. The food was out of this world! Highly recommend the brisket for your carving board, and the coconut shrimp was a hit! If you’re ever doubting booking this place to have your wedding, dont. We had our ceremony in the Columbia Ballroom with our reception immediately following in the Conservatory Room. Our guests were blown away by the amazing service and fantastic food! When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to go with a more "all inclusive" type venue where food, ceremony and reception space were offered, and Birch Hill did not disappoint! Between the beautiful options for ceremony/reception, the scenic outside grounds available for our photos, and the food- our friends and family keep telling us how it was the best wedding they've been to, ever.
Our wedding coordinator, Serena, was especially accommodating and on top of all our needs throughout the process. We felt so comfortable putting our wedding day into her hands and because of that we were able to truly enjoy our day. Anything from shooting follow up emails during planning, to literally dropping everything in her hands and fixing my broken bustle *moments* from our reception introduction- she really gave us her all and treated our day if it was her own. Serena was a delight to work with from initial planning to her hands on attention to details throughout our wedding. She and her staff were attentive, pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The food was plentiful and delicious with a beautiful presentation. Birch Hill was our top venue choice from the moment we toured and met with the staff there. There ceremony sites and ballrooms were gorgeous, especially in the fall. A huge selling point for us was their food. They had so many options and our guests talked about how good the food was for days after the wedding! Their packages were reasonable and very customizable. Jessica and Makayla were two of the coordinators we worked with to help prepare and orchestrate our wedding day - they were awesome!! The entire experience felt like a dream and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. -

I couldn't have designed a more perfect place to get married than Stablegate Farm and Vineyard. The whole area created a perfect backdrop to our wedding.
Beyond the obviously beautiful outdoor space and charm of the venue itself, the Birch Hill Staff will go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience on your day. They went out of their way to make sure my very Texas family could have an authentic BBQ experience - and said Texans walked away saying it was some of the best food they'd ever had.
This is a staff - especially our coordinator Jennifer - that I will go above the call of duty to support their couple and I could not recommend them enough to future couples.Birch Hill Catering's reply:

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff at Birch Hill was for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Jennifer, our coordinator, was so on top of everything, and made sure we thought of every possible detail - even things we hadn’t considered! Then, on our wedding day, I tested positive for Covid. The staff was so accommodating and flexible, and helped us move everything outside at the last minute. The owner, Steven, was so thorough in making sure our guests stayed safe and still had a good time, and provided high quality N95 masks free of charge for everyone. The Birch Hill staff made it possible for us to have a beautiful day despite really stressful circumstances, and we are so grateful to them!
Even without such a wild set of circumstances, we would have been thrilled with the event. The food was incredible, and all our guests were raving about it. Our venue (Stablegate Barn) was gorgeous and made for such a fun night.

I was so impressed with all of the help my wedding planner, Jennifer, offered leading up to our wedding. When our wedding day turned out to be a but rainy and cold, the staff was able to take our outdoor ceremony and set up a gorgeous ceremony inside quickly. The food was wonderful, and our guests commented on how impressed they were with every detail. So happy we chose Birch Hill for our wedding! -

Stablegate was our perfect wedding venue. I’m not sure even how to write this review- there is so much to say.
We booked our wedding venue during the height of COVID, so we booked site unseen! I’m grateful we did because dates were quickly filling. I’m grateful to Stablegate for their preferred vendor list, we booked a few vendors because of these recommendations.
The space itself is a beautiful, old barn. There is a wall of string lights that is behind the sweetheart table. There is a wedding suite in the back of the barn for your bridal party to hide in. We loved the space. It is close to the road, despite the photos. We had one car drive by while our ceremony took place which was distracting. The barn is connected to a winery, which we had open for guests prior to the wedding for really cheap.
I would say that it isn’t the most handicap accessible entrance to the venue. There is the road, then large gravel, then a ramp to get into the venue with a decent sized gap before you’re IN the venue. They had a wheelchair on premise which we ended up utilizing for my grandpa (thank god). I don’t think any of this is major, but may be very important to note.
The value of this venue is insane. They have all tables, chairs, basic decor, food, cake, and wedding day coordinator all included with their packages. We chose the 3 entree plated option, and for $100/per person, we think it was worth it! We had full open bar, and 2 signature drinks.
We had the vegan cauliflower (DELICIOUS), and the brie as our chosen for our hors d'oeuvres. The rest of the cocktail hour was presented beautifully.
We had the parisian salad which was light, and refreshing. The New York Strip with shrimp scampi duet, the Boneless chicken fontinella baked with prosciutto, spinach, roasted red peppers, fontinella cheese, and a roasted garlic cream sauce and the Creamy wild mushroom risotto with black truffle oil glaze as our 3 entrees. The Strip was everyone's favorite, but for some it was “too well done”. Some people requested to have no shrimp, and still got it on their plate, which was disappointing to hear. I think it’s difficult to cook steaks at different levels when cooking for 110 people so I wasn’t too bothered by this. The chicken was the star of the night in many peoples opinion. The mushroom risotto was a bit bland, unfortunately.
Some folks were not served prosecco, nor salads, and some didn’t have silverware. It was kind of inconsistent, which is disappointing.
Another issue, maybe specific to us, maybe a COVID thing that wasn’t discussed with us, but coffee was not served with cake, but placed in a krafe on the bar. As an Italian family, we thought this was unacceptable, and should’ve been served to our guests. At the very least, an announcement to say the coffee was available. No one was made aware of this. Our elderly family really were displeased with this.
Our signature drinks were made perfectly!! We think it would’ve been better if the drinks were pre made and available before the wedding, or at least for the bridal party.
Otherwise, we were able to take decorations down that we didn’t particularly like. We are a queer couple, so we were able to make both restrooms gender neutral.
We described our vision for the space, and every detail/decoration we brought was placed perfectly.
We even got photos with the horses! Thanks to Jess our day of coordinator.
It rained on our wedding day. We were supposed to get married up at Hudson 360, but couldn’t due to the mud. We had the option of getting married inside the barn, or outside near the vineyard. So despite the rain, we got married outside because that was our wedding wish. The staff really worked to make this dream a reality. Due to the rain, we couldn’t have the skylight (?) open completely to ventilate the barn, we could only have the barn doors. This was helpful, and beautiful, but the barn still did get very hot, despite the outdoor temperature of 70s on a July day. Thank god it wasn't in the 90s like we thought it would be.
We had 106 people, and I, personally, think that was the perfect amount.
Jessica, our day of wedding coordinator, was out of this world. I cannot say enough good things about her. I was an anxious bride, and she answered every email question I had for an entire year leading up to our wedding. She never made me feel bad, she only told me I had good questions, and encouraged them!
During our rehearsal it was raining, so we had to rehearse plan B and C for our ceremony since plan A (hudson 360) was out. She was so accommodating. She also was accommodating when we had her postpone the wedding 15mins, so we could wait for the rain to let up a bit so we could continue on outside. She made she every decoration we had was placed perfectly. She was silently present the entire evening, and made sure it ran perfectly smoothly. I cannot imagine how crazy her job is the day of. Immediately after the ceremony, she had one of our signature drinks and a sample plate of hors d'oeuvres for us during our continued photo session. The only oversight was not making sure our bridal party had snacks or drinks in the backroom before they were introduced. Our bridal party was not happy being stuck in the back without food while we took photos, but were done with them. While we were doing photos, she even got a bucket of feed, and called the horses over so we could have a photoshoot with them. She even emergently repaired my wedding dress during the wedding. She placed 4 safety pins to hold the train up! So grateful to her. We cannot say enough good things. Thank you. -

When picking out a venue we were not very sure on what kind of space we were looking for. A friend of ours got married on the main property in the ballroom so we thought we would just check it out. Once we got there we realized there were sooo many options when it came to the actual venue. There are a lot of outdoor options as well as indoor. We ultimately went with Stablegate Barn and Vineyard for our May wedding. It was important for us to have it a very laid back night for our guests as we had not seen them in over a year do to the pandemic. The barn is very open and all of our guests were able to mingle and talk very easily. We initially started working with Bridget who actually left in the middle of planning but when Jess stepped in she did not miss a beat. She was very quick at getting back to us with any questions we had. The day of she was right there to help us with anything we needed, during photos she always had drinks ready for us as well as plates of food. Jess was an amazing help on the most important day of our lives and she really helped it run very smooth. She was incredible and would highly recommend her. Birch Hill as a whole did an amazing job. The food was incredible and we are so thankful to the whole team. -

Birch Hill was a wonderful choice for our wedding on 1/23/21. It was not easy to plan a wedding during a pandemic but they made it an enjoyable experience. We booked our date prior to Covid and they worked with us to make sure that we got the wedding we wanted while being safe. We had many options for back-up plans and they were helpful and patient through all of it.
The food was some of the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. They were careful with special dietary needs offering gluten and dairy free options for our guests.

It’s obvious to say that choosing a venue and food for your wedding is one of the most significant decisions you can make in the wedding planning process. With no shortage of beautiful locales and delicious catering companies in the Albany area, finding the right one is not a quick task.
I’m here to end your search for the perfect venue by highly recommending Birch Hill Estate.
The professionalism of the planning and catering staff, the variety and quality of the locations and rooms, and the creativity and delivery of the food options made for an irresistible combination that sealed the deal for us, and should for you. If you were ever looking for a venue that would respond with “Yes, we can do that” to any of your wedding requests, look no further than Birch Hill.
Our experience with this venue started when we scheduled an appointment with one of their special events sales managers, Sarah Connor, who would later become our day-of coordinator. We met with her in person on-property, and she wasted no time in identifying the basics about what we were looking for, when and for what price. She had lookbooks and slideshows to demonstrate the venue mid-event, and then took us around for a tour of the indoor and outdoor locations. Pretty early on, she could tell we were foodies (out of town, living in the Washington D.C. area), so the menu became one of the focal points of discussion. Sarah told us about the three types of food serving styles they could do, and we settled on the “food station” style, knowing that we wanted to allow for our guests to try foods from our eclectic and varied cuisine choices. Like I said before, not once did Sarah say “We can’t do that”... instead, it was always a positive affirmation that they would make it work. That’s what you need from a coordinator, and from a wedding venue.
With the day and venue spot chosen, we just had to work with Sarah over the months to refine guest lists, specific packages and arranging for occasional in-person food tastings, of which our family members remarked was excellent. During the planning period, Sarah also let us know that we had some flexibility for weather concerns, and options to flex to other venue spots should the right conditions occur. Basically, she was assuring us that we were 100% covered.
Week of the wedding, it was not hard to get hold of Sarah to finalize things, and for arranging our vendors. We were able to perform our rehearsal at the venue, but decided against hosting the dinner there for completely separate reasons (but it was an option!). Again, there was not a small adjustment or last-minute change that wasn’t met with a “Yes, we can make that work” from Sarah.
Sarah was always around when we needed her, and kept us as on time as she could for our schedule. She made sure to cater to our needs and kept us a priority amongst the hustle and bustle of the night. She was instrumental in coordinating all of our vendors into a unique experience for our guests, many of which told us what a terrific night they had later on.
We cannot thank Sarah and Birch Hill Estate enough for making our wedding as memorable as it was, except to try to convince you that you don’t have to look further.

Stablegate Barn & Birch Hill Catering were everything we could have dreamed of when it came to a wedding venue and catering company. Food is very important to my wife and I, and we had always joked and dreamed of a fun way to incorporate food into our wedding. We had ideas like "make your own taco bar" or "make your own rice bowl" things like that. I discovered Birch Hills cocktail style dinner and found that they had a barn venue and we were sold.
We began our journey with Birch Hill when we met with Sarah. She may be the best "sales manager" "event planner" and overall helper when it comes to weddings I could ever imagine. She deserves a raise! but I digress. We sat down with her and discussed the cocktail style dinner and they had almost 30 options to choose from. We chose the farmers market, bayou boil and BBQ feast. They were so much fun for people to mix and match their plate. I also loved that they kept these food bars open for 2 hours during the reception which made it a much more casual feel. Taking a break from dancing to snack is always a good time.
The Stablegate Barn is a beautiful place with no extra work needed. It gives you a true rustic barn feel without having to do any work to it. The lighting is great and once you add flowers it is a beautiful venue. It really is everything we could of wished for out of a barn venue. Sarah and her assistant Ashley were with my wife helping anyway they could while she got ready in the bridal suite at the barn. We could never afford a wedding planner but I tell you Sarah and Ashley treat you like you are the only people getting married that year.
I would also like to mention Oh Goodness Cakes. They were recommended and included with our dinner from Birch Hill. The owner (forgetting her name) was so accommodating and very responsive when it came to our cake requests. She set it up and made it look beautiful when the time came.

Me and my wife were just married here this past weekend and I couldn't be happier with the work done by the Birch Hill Crew. To begin with, their winter wedding packages are unbeatable in price and breadth. We met with our coordinator, Sarah to discuss the date about 10 months in advance and we left knowing that we found the right place and it was a done deal. We returned in a month for one of their wedding expos where we were able to meet many vendors and try all the absolutely fantastic food options they have to offer. Sarah helped us through all of the planning with regular check ups. When it came time for the actual wedding week. Birch Hill did everything in their power to help us and make it out day. The day before we had a quick rehearsal where Sarah made sure she knew everything that was to happen and made everything so simple for us, from accommodating our requests to suggestions to make the day run as smooth as possible. The day of, Sarah along with the rest of the staff was incredible. We didn't have to put in any effort, want some food or drink? Sarah or a a very nice gentleman who I am unfortunately blanking on his name were there to run off to fulfill any request. When my bride and her bridesmaids couldn't figure out her dress's bustle and weren't able to tie it up, Sarah and another very kind employee immediately helped my wife and made her calm and got the difficult task done and had us on our way to the reception stress free and as happy as could be. The food at the reception was delicious, drinks plentiful and everything was effortlessly planned and coordinated by the staff. When it came time to come back in the morning to breakdown decorations and clean out the ballroom, we were (very pleasantly) surprised to find that the Birch Hill crew had taken own everything and consolidated everything to a table so that clean up was as easy as could be. I can't thank Sarah and the rest of the Birch Hill staff we came into contact with, it couldn't have gone any better and that is in large part to them. Additionally, the venue is beautiful, got many compliments on how beautiful the Conservatory Ballroom was, and additionally how good the food was. If you are getting married in the Albany area, I implore you to come talk to the coordinators at Birch Hill, you will not be disappointed. -

I had the perfect wedding day and Birch Hill Catering is one of the main reasons that happened. And I know most brides said that but I am not kidding when I say perfect. it exceeded expectations in every way and Bridget from Birch Hill made sure the day went off without one hitch. Everything from the high ceilings, to the aesthetic, to the delicious food is still being raved about by our friends and family. As a catering hall its stunning but as a wedding venue they make the process sooo fun and easy I had 0 bridal freak outs!
Bridget worked with us from start to finish, was prompt in all of her answers, made time via phone calls when we could make it in person (its a 2 hour commute for us), and was so organized and professional that I felt like I didnt have to think at all. Not only did she help settle myself and the bridesmaids just before the big walk down the aisle but she was there throughout the entire night to make sure everything went smoothly.
This venue was perfect and for those looking to save on a huge flower/decoration bill this is the place. We had minimal decorations because the venue itself is STUNNING! And I cant stress this enough - the food is like no other wedding food you will ever have.
Do yourself a favor and have your wedding at Birch Hill. As a couple you will adore how perfect your wedding will be and as a bride you will feel relaxed knowing people like Bridget are behind the scenes. -

We had the pleasure of working with Sarah and she was amazing to work with. She was always available to meet up with us, even the day after our wedding she was there so we could get our belongings. The day of the wedding Sarah was attentive to us and made sure that our plates and drinks were always full! Even clumsy me who twisted her ankle at the end of the night, they were right there with ice for me! Birch Hill is an incredible venue! My husband and I worked with Jessica from the first day we toured the venue to our wedding day. Jessica was always available for all of my questions and very helpful. Everyone was very accommodating, especially because I have celiac. They made sure everything I ate was safe for me. All of the food was amazing. We went to the bridal show to try the food, but we also had a smaller tasting to try some of the gluten free options. We also had out rehearsal dinner at the Stablegate Lodge. The venue and food was incredible and made us even more excited for our wedding. There was a last minute change as the pond ceremony site was flooded, but they were able to show us all the different options and made sure it was still perfect. They had a wedding the night before our's, so I saw both the Conservatory room and the Columbia ballroom decorated the day of the wedding and it was absolutely perfect! After the ceremony, we were busy taking photos. There was a small cocktail station for everyone in the wedding party, but my husband and I were so busy that we did not have a chance to go over to grab some food. Jessica brought us some food and always made sure we had something to drink. I highly recommend this venue to anyone interested. -

Our wedding day at Stablegate Barn was absolute perfection. Our coordinator Sarah Connor was unbelievably wonderful. We booked with Birch Hill over a year and a half before our wedding, and the entire time Sarah answered all of my questions (often repeat questions as the months passed) in a timely manner and was incredibly helpful and patient. The March before our wedding we attended Birch Hill’s expo and were honestly very disappointed in the food and got quite nervous about this major aspect of our wedding. I reached out to Sarah to share our concerns and she offered to set up a tasting. We proceeded to do so, and went ahead and took the chance that their food would be what we hoped after a successful private tasting. On the actual day, the food was FANTASTIC! Guests are still raving about it, and we had several specialty items including ethnic foods like Lumpia (Filipino egg roll) and Potica (Slavik sweet bread). They also accommodated a pescatarian diet and had labels for foods with potential allergens. Furthermore, the owners of the barn are incredible. They have a small farm on their property and gave the chefs some of their vegetables to add to our buffet table with no extra charge. Stablegate and Birch Hill are clearly passionate about what they do. Their prices are amongst the fairest we found when searching venues, and upon reflection were a complete steal for the quality of event they put on. I can’t recommend them enough. If you have the chance, ask to work with Sarah Connor. She went above and beyond and is incredibly skilled at the personal and business aspects of her job -

Birch hill was a beautiful venue for our wedding. We had our ceremony outside in front of the pond and the weather was magnificent. Our reception was in the conservatory ballroom which has the beautiful glass atrium. We worked with Jessica Ryan and she was great! She was right by out side the day of the wedding and leading up to the day she was always available to get in contact with. We had asked for decorations to be put up and they did everything just as we had asked. Their menu is incredible, all of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good our wedding food was. My husband and I got married at Birch Hill on 9/6/19. We had the most amazing experience and could not have been happier with every aspect of our wedding. We worked with Sarah Connor and along the way, I had to make several last minute changes and with every change Sarah was completely understanding and helpful. I had originally booked Birch Hills Stablegate Barn venue, but due to some health issues with my parents I was forced to change to the Conservatory Hall. Sarah not only arranged for the space change, but she promised to make sure my parents would be taken care of throughout the night. I was so happy about how easy she made all of this for us and how accommodating the owners were to our concerns.
Our ceremony was at the birdcage by the pond. This space was amazing. It was so intimate and beautiful. All of our guests were blown away about the beauty of the ceremony. We didn't even need extra flowers or anything for the space, it was so natural and organic, it was perfect.
The cocktail hour and reception were held in the Conservatory Hall. What a gorgeous space. It was the perfect size for our 100 guests. Again the beauty of the room made it so easy on us, we didn't need to do much with flowers, it was not even necessary.
I can not express how happy my husband and I were with every aspect of our experience with Birch Hill. We can't thank Sarah enough for being the best coordinator we could ask for. She took care of every concern and really is like family to us now! My parents were so thankful for her caring nature, for carting them from place to place on the golf cart and for checking up on them all night!
As far as the food goes, it was all delicious. We had a buffet style meal, the food was hot and plentiful. We were thrilled with it and also the service of all the friendly staff members.
I would recommend Birch Hill to anyone planning a wedding or special event. You will not be disappointed 🙂 -

The staff was so great all around but what I really could go on and on about is how wonderful our coordinator Sarah was! She went ABOVE and beyond for us! Our wedding day was perfect- and we can attribute so much of that to Birch Hill(more specifically our coordinator Sarah). She made the entire planning process completely stress free from our first meeting. Even our guests came back to me telling me how fabulous she was. She truly went above and beyond the call of duty- she was there with me right before walking down the aisle and right after, always ensured we had fresh food and drinks, she also went around to each of my guests and was able to address my family by name- I simply can not rave enough about her.
We were married and had our reception in the conservatory ballroom- it was gorgeous. Our cocktail hour was initially split between indoors and a nice outdoor patio while Sarah and her team quickly and efficiently moved the room around.
We had an open bar- the bartenders were great, drinks were strong and flowed all night.
Our cocktail hour food was fantastic- we had a large variety including a sushi bar which was delicious.
We had a seated dinner- all the food was so good and the servings were very large. They also accommodated packing up several of my guests food as well as me and my husbands as we were too stuffed to eat anymore! We were so pleased with the food- especially after attending their showcase in March(did not do justice to their food quality AT ALL).
They packed up all my personal decor for me so that it could be easily picked up the next day.
I can without any hesitation recommend Birch Hill to anyone for their wedding. And if given the opportunity, work with Sarah Connor- you will not regret it! -

We had our wedding at Stablegate Barn on Birch Hill's vineyard. I knew the venue was beautiful, and the food delicious, but even so, our wedding day exceeded every expectation! The venue looked exquisite and the food was AMAZING!!! Better than when we taste tested at they're annual bridal show. We received so many compliments on the barn, vineyard, and food. The barn is so beautiful that you don't even need to fill it with décor. We just had our centerpieces, the table with the card gift box, seat cards, and guest book, and a small table with the photos of our grandparents weddings. Cocktail hour food was served on an antique carriage (as in horse and carriage) outdoors with a fire pit and Adirondack chairs. It looked fabulous and our guests loved it. My husband and I snuck away with our photographer and wedding coordinator (Jessica) up to the horse pasture and took breathtaking shots with the horses and stellar view. They were so accommodating with setting up the night before and picking up the night before. Jessica was absolutely fantastic. She got back to all of my emails very quickly and was just at the top of her game. That lady hustles. Their prices are extremely fair for what you get. We customized their BBQ package and had open bar, but other than that, were true to their package. If you're wondering if the perfect venue exists, it does. You won't be disappointed. -

I'm blessed to have the opportunity to have worked with her. Birch hill is hands down the best place to have a wedding. The food is out of this world!!!! The entire staff is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. If you get a chance go to their wedding show in March. You will not be disappointed. If you leave hungry it's because you choose to. There is soooo much food!!!! And everything is amazing!!!! My guests could not stop gushing about how perfect everything was. A million hugs sent to Bridget and the entire staff at Birch Hill!!!! 💕💜💕 -

At our first meeting, Sarah was warm, attentive , and professional. We felt at ease knowing that we would be in such great hands. Through the planning process, Sarah would answer any emails the same day that I sent them. In March, they do the big vendor show and finally got to taste the menu that we had selected. We were again blown away. At our wedding, the guests raved about the food and how amazing everything was. Stablegate winery and vineyard provided the perfect setting for our wedding. Having such an rustic vibe with the decor made our small intimate wedding vision come to life. The barn has such a personality that completely fit the theme of the wedding. At night, the twinkling lights, bonfire, and beautiful night sky created a beautiful backdrop for our final photos. Rebecca and the entire staff at Stablegate were attentive to the fine details and made sure that the bride and groom were comfortable, happy, and having fun throughout the entire night. I’ve heard stories of the bride and groom not eating or not having time to themselves. We were provided a sample of our cocktail hour food in the back room of the barn, and it gave us ten minutes to process that we were married. Wendy, the floor manager, was on top of everything and I didn’t have to worry at all. I had the perfect wedding with Birchhill catering company.

On the day of, we simply could not have done it without her. The food was delicious and the barn was out of this world, from the little touches to the lights to the fully stocked bar (Val is the BEST!!) we couldn't have been happier. We would HIGHLY recommend Birch Hill and SARAH for your wedding. It was magnificent and perfect :) -

Sarah Sent on 07/09/2018Our wedding day was perfect and that was due largely in part to Sarah Connor and the team at Birch Hill. I met Sarah at a bridal show the weekend after we got engaged. From that moment, we clicked. We went to see the grounds a month later and I fell in love! We went to their bridal show that March and were blown away by their food. We didn't reach out again until the fall after not being able to find another venue that even compared to Birch Hill all summer long. Sarah was so thoughtful and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She quickly answered all of my emails about any little thing I had a question about. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfectly and we didn't need to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. We were treated like the king and queen that day and it just made it everything your wedding day should be. Everyone that day was extremely professional and made sure that my husband and I had anything that we needed all night long. Everyone has been raving to us about the food and just how beautiful the venue was overall. We have been with Sarah for 2.5 years and she is no longer just our venue coordinator but our friend. -

The weather was great so we had cocktail hour on the patio. & the scenery was just fantastic. Working with Sarah was so easy going and comforting. She reassured us every step of the way! The property and ballrooms were exactly what I envisioned for my wedding and the staff was very accommodating and helped in ANY way they could. From the moment I decided to get married at Birch Hill, the coordinators were very attentive and helped to ease any stress or nerves I had. Bridget and Lauren were BEYOND amazing and made me feel very comfortable on the big day. Birch Hill made wedding planning easy by covering major wedding “must haves”, such as helping with the cake, catering in house, and gorgeous ceremony sites around the property. We always dreamed of what our wedding day would look like and on July 7, 2017 Birch Hill made that dream a reality. Thank you all SO much!! Love, the Baldaufs!

Susan Sent on 10/02/2017We contacted Birch Hill to cater our 45 person wedding at a vacation home/wedding venue in Old Chatham, NY. What an awesome experience from start to finish. Lauren was so wonderful to work with as the coordinator, responding to every question quickly and wanting to make sure we were satisfied with each decision. There were things we requested that weren't on the menu and she had no problem accommodating us. Her warm personality is perfect for the job and we were so surprised and excited to see her there on the day of!
Jordan and his staff did a wonderful job on the day of... negotiating around pine trees to get the truck parked, dealing with changes in location of the cocktail hour due to the drizzling rain and an unheated barn, while trying to keep the food warm and our guests happy. Everyone loved the food and the service. Jordan put the icing on the night when he came to personally congratulate us and make sure everything was to our liking, and then offered to leave the soft drinks for our guests that were continuing to party in the barn. It was a very sweet gesture.
We highly recommend Birch Hill. Make sure you get the Chicken Corn Chowder and ask for real whipped cream with your desserts! You won't be disappointed...
