We recently had our wedding at The Bilmar Beach Resort in Treasure Island (October 2025), and our experience was exceptional from start to finish.
First and foremost, I want to recognize Danielle Jardieu, who was the absolute MVP of our planning process. She was consistently responsive, organized, and incredibly detail-oriented. No matter the question or concern, she was always one phone call away and made us feel supported the entire way through. Her professionalism and warmth set the tone for our entire experience.
The property had suffered significant damage during the October 2024 hurricane, but the Bilmar team worked tirelessly to restore and improve the resort. By the time our wedding arrived, the venue looked better than ever! It was beautifully updated, spotless, and ready to host not just our wedding, but many others.
The hotel provided accommodations for us, our bridal party, and many friends and family members traveling from out of town. Everyone raved about their rooms, the cleanliness, the views, and the attentive service. Whatever we needed during our stay, the staff delivered quickly and graciously.
On the day of the wedding, the entire staff made me feel like a queen. Everything flowed smoothly and seamlessly. Any request I had, big or small, was handled immediately and with care. The ceremony, reception, and overall atmosphere were everything I dreamed of and more.
Choosing The Bilmar as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. Their dedication, hospitality, and genuine care for their guests and couples truly set them apart. The only place for a beach wedding!
Danielle at Bilmar was always super professional and responsive. always answered any questions we had. very detailed and made sure everything was exactly the way we planned/imagined! our coordinator Alyssa was also super helpful and made everything go smooth! they walked us through everything and told us what was next!Bilmar Beach Resort's reply:

We booked the Bilmar a year and a half in advance. Their contracts and all kinds of things changer between when we booked and when the wedding was. They honored every single thing we outlined in our contract and then some. Danielle did a fabulous job taking over handling everything that happened in that time frame with a smile on her face. It was not an easy task, let me tell you.
Kara, our day of coordinator was AMAZING! The day ran smoothly and without a hitch. Chef did an amazing job with the food and even made my queso fountain dream come true!! Kudos to the entire team!Bilmar Beach Resort's reply:

Dream Wedding Venue
We recently had our wedding at Bilmar Beach Resort, and it was absolutely magical. The outdoor ceremony on the beach was stunning and left our guests in awe. The reception area was equally breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for our celebration. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options that catered to everyone's tastes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly. Tara & Danielle at Bilmar are AWESOME! They were so responsive & helpful. Just thinking about the stress of a destination wedding was almost too much for me. BUT, when I found Bilmar & Tara jumped right in & was so informative & reassuring it took the stress away! Our wedding day ran absolutely perfectly! Bilmar Beach Resort turned what could have been a disaster into the best blessing in disguise. My original venue cancelled on us less then 3 months before the wedding. My DJ recommended I check with Bilmar Beach Resort and they thankfully were available! From the first call with Tara throughout the entire process and wedding I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything. The location was beautiful, the staff was amazing and everything was absolutely perfect! -

The Perfect Wedding Venue
We were married here in November 2020 and would recommend it to anyone getting married in the Treasure Island area! We are from Pennsylvania and toured 4 venues in St. Pete and Anna Maria Island, but as soon as we stopped at the Bilmar we knew it was the one. Tara and Julie were so incredibly helpful. Planning from far away I was nervous about the communication - but they were both so responsive and made me feel 100% comfortable. I never had an email go unanswered, and I truly cannot thank them both enough!
We booked a penthouse and then another last minute (thank you Julie and front desk staff) so both parties would have a big room to get ready in and I'd highly suggest it. We did have a small hiccup/communication mishap with welcome gift bags not being passed out to our guests, but the front desk staff fixed it by delivering them to each room.
Alyssa was our day of coordinator, she ran everything perfectly! The wedding itself was exactly what we envisioned and more for our wedding day. We upgraded to water's edge for the ceremony as we wanted the beach background photos and to minimize the number of people walking through the background/pictures and would definitely recommend it. And the indoor/outdoor patio right on the beach is exactly what we wanted for the reception - the perfect beach vibe and having access to an air-conditioned room to cool down while grabbing a drink.

Had a blast! Great views, space, and food!
Had a great time at the Coral Wedding! My 10 year employee Dana Kitain and her husband Jorge Coral got married here 01/25/2020 and we stayed in the resort and had a wonderful experience! The wedding turned out beautiful! White sand beach background, great food, great bar service, and a lot of fun! The hotel was well maintained and the front desk staff was great! Hotel smelled and looked very nice and the beds were comfortable! We had a blast dancing the night away and sitting by the fire! -

Kitain Coral Wedding 01-25-2020
I attended my sons wedding at the Bilmar Jan 25th and it was beautiful! Of course it was a little cold but they had heaters and fire pits set up for us! The food, view, and decorations were set up exactly as we had imagined! I helped make the decorations and Alyssa the day of coordinator had it set up the way we envisioned! My son and daughter in law loved it and our family raved about the resort and the wedding! Thank you to the Bilmar staff for everything! -

Thank you for Making it the happiest day of my life!
Everything was perfect from the food to the venue to the hotel rooms! I could not stop smiing! Not only did I get to marry my best friend but got to do it with a beautiful view! We had so much fun dancing! We chose the Cafe/Patio because of the South Beach chic style bar and beach level views! Tara was awesome and very helpful! Bilmar was the only resort we previewed that went above and beyond and allowed us to view the hotel rooms when we were there to see the venue! The rooms were remodeled and nice! She helped my wife and I throughout the process and it turned out perfect! Alyssa the day of coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly as well! Wish it lasted longer as it flew by so fast! -

Let me start by thanking Tara, Julie, and Alyssa at the Bilmar for making everything so easy and run so smoothly! They were attentive and helpful since the beginning! We had our wedding there 01/25/2020 with about 150 people in the Cafe and Patio area. It was the only venue we could fins in the TI and St Pete area that had a venue with a beach level view of the beach. It was perfect for us as we took into consideration the beach view we wanted, no stairs, an easily accessible smoking area so the smokers weren't missing for 30 minutes, and enough area for children to run around and not bother the dance party! It was chilly out so we had the fire puts going as well and it was just beautiful! My family and friends raved about the ambiance and the food! We had the prime rib which is all made medium well and even though, we like medium rare, it was still very tender! We had a wine based sauced chicken as our 2nd entree. All the vendors that Tara recommended were wonderful as well! We would totally recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beach wedding. We had our rehearsal dinned which also was great on a private deck overlooking the beach at the restaurant attached to the Bilmar, Sloppy Joes. All the rooms were remodeled and super clean and our guests loved the resort! We wish we had another wedding to plan here! We will miss everyone at the Bilmar and cannot wait to stay there again! Great Hotel for Wedding - Schulte Wedding
Bilmar is an amazing Hotel for wedding, had everything you could ask for. From multiple restaurants onsite, to various within walking distance. Our wedding party utilized the sundeck for gathering and games the first night, had open area outside the reception hall which was very convenient and went fire side on the last night to enjoy time with the last few guests. Staff was very professional, everything was accounted for and no last minutes surprises. Wedding coordinator made the day a cake walk. The reception hall is newly renovated and very stylish. Beautiful beach wedding
Being the Bride I was looking for the perfect place to have a sunset beach wedding. The Bilmar surpassed my expectations. They made the process so easy and stress free. I got married at The Bilmar on November 3, 2019 and words can’t express how amazing it was!! Not only is the venue gorgeous, the entire staff was so accommodating and very focused on making our day special! Tara was our wedding planner and she is the absolute best! From start to finish she made our wedding vision come to life! She was always so quick to respond to my many emails, and made all of my requests seem easy. I had decided I didn’t want to use the traditional wedding menu for dinner, rather I wanted to do a beach grillout buffet of hot dogs, hamburgers, bbq chicken, etc. Without hesitation she made that happen and it was exactly as I imagined! She truly cares about her clients and you can see how passionate she is about what she does. :) Julie managed our guest room block, and I’m not kidding when I say she’s the nicest person you’ll ever meet! Whether it was over email or phone she always treated me like an old friend :) and of course she made the whole room block process so easy with no issues whatsoever! Finally, Alyssa was our day of coordinator and she is AMAZING! She decorated our ceremony/reception and made it look absolutely flawless! She is so organized, detail oriented, and creative! She took all the stress out of the day and made it a breeze! :) Thank you so much to everyone at The Bilmar! I arrived on a red eye from the west coast the morning of the event. The front desk staff was kind enough to get us into a room early to rest and refresh. My father was married here a week ago (Oct. 13) and it was great! The staff were kind and responsive to all our questions. They made sure we had what we needed, especially for people needing help walking on the sand. It was nice having someone pack the left over cake not to mention being told that your family has a gorgeous wedding party! What woman doesn't like being told she's gorgeous! I would reccomend this resort due to location, staffing and price. It's having everyone stay where its affordable but also being able to watch the sunset with loved ones every night on the beach. 😊Bilmar Beach Resort's reply:

Bilmar Beach Resort was the best decision we made for where we wanted to get married. Tara DiGiacomo, the Event Coordinator was very helpful and well organized. She made it extremely is to select our vendors, food menu and colors for our special day. The hotel staff was professional and extremely professional. They anticipate all our needs and our guest stated on several occasions how pleased they were with the hotel and staff. My husband and I were just married this past weekend on 10-12-19 (Neal/Morse) at the Bilmar! Our wedding exceeded every expectation I could have! Everything was absolutely perfect! Tara was very responsive and easy to communicate with. She made the planning process super easy! Her flexibility was very appreciated as we had some guest changes a week out!
Alyssa was our day of coordinator and she was super friendly and helpful! She decorated our reception in the patio/cafe area beautifully!
The food and drinks delicious...I just wish I would've had a bigger appetite to enjoy it more!
We had our wedding moved down to the water's edge and it was worth the extra money to move it down there! Our photos during our ceremony are stunning with the background of the ocean!

Tara our wedding planner was always on top of things which eased our stressed significantly. Julie in the office was communicative and always checked in with me throughout the planning process. Alyssa was the coordinator the day of the wedding and she was phenomenal. If there were issues or questions she took care of them so I could enjoy my day without stress. The Bilmar Resort Wedding team go above and beyond to ensure your wedding is everything you ever wanted. Our guests complemented the venue, attentive staff, and wonderful food. I couldn't have asked for more! I got my fairy-tale beach wedding and I have the Bilmar staff to thank for that! THANK YOU!

I loved Tara just from reading the reviews and i knew she was the one i wanted to coordinate our wedding!! We had a major hiccup with wedding planning and had to push our wedding up about 10 months and Tara made it happen like nothing had ever changed! She was on top of things completely! Julie was also incredible!! She was always available to questions when you had last minute thoughts! Eden, she was so beyond friendly and great to work with!! The whole staff there is incredible and truly made my wedding and this experience one i will cherish forever.

Rachel Sent on 11/15/2017I am sooo happy we picked The Bilmar for our wedding! Everything was perfect! Tara was so amazingly wonderful not only for the big day but for everything leading up to it! Any question or concern I had was never too small for her and she was always quick to get back to me. I planned our wedding from Texas so that added a little extra stress but Tara constantly calmed my nerves because of how helpful and on top of everything she was! Also, since I did a destination wedding, we needed a lot of hotel rooms for my guests and Julie was so accommodating and helpful! Especially when some of my guests waited until the last minute to book rooms haha! I couldn't say enough good things about The Bilmar and everyone there who made our day extra special. I would recommend this place to any and everyone!!

Jenny Sent on 11/10/2017My husband and I knew we wanted a beach wedding and Bilmar was perfect. This resort was the 2nd venue we checked out while in the beginning stages of our wedding planning. We were unsure if the prices were good or not so we wanted to shop around. After searching for a couple more months, driving all over the place, making my phone calls and sending many emails out, we found a few places that had comparable prices and although we found those places, we were not impressed with their event planners service. We kept coming back to Tara's lovely, smiley and bubbly personality. From the very beginning, she was completely honest and informative. After meeting with her for the 3rd time in a span of 4 months, we finally signed the contract. She and Julie were my main points of contact and every time I had a question about something either or both of them were very communicative. Alyssa, my day-of coordinator was super friendly, patient and nice as well! Our wedding day was perfect!!! ... Little advice for bride-to-be's: set up a binder to organize your papers. It doesn't have to be a real calendar planner. Mine was a binder with tabs. (Ask Tara. Lol!) Have a tab for venue and one for each vendor. Any communication between you and them, keep in there, especially contracts. Be organized or everything will become chaotic. Most, if not all vendors will set up a payment plan. Cassie Sent on 10/16/2017I can't say enough about Bilmar and our wedding planner Tara. We planned our wedding in Treasure Island from Iowa as we had our hearts set on a beach wedding at an area we are in love with. Tara does amazing things. She was our catering manager as well as our planner and day of coordinator. We started exchanging emails, Pinterest boards, and ideas a year in advance. She answered every single one of my emails quickly and was super helpful throughout the whole process. Turns out we have the exact same birthday, too , so it was meant to be (had to throw that in there :) )
She made our visions come true. Julie was also very helpful with my constant questions and emails about the room
Block, hotel rooms, info about penthouses and random questions. Those two are the best! Our waitstaff and bar staff at the reception were outstanding. Everyone was so professional, friendly and patient. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. Tara made sure the wedding party knew what they were doing and where to stand and what time to be where. She, along with her crew, took care of all the decorating and details, and she was in contact with all of our vendors, so there was no stress on me or my family the day of. All we had to worry about was hair and makeup and showing up. The ceremony site at waters edge was so beautiful I immediately starting crying when my dad and I walked up to the aisle. Surrounded by everyone we love, and the waves crashing nearby, it was the perfect wedding and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Right before the ceremony; the sky clouded up but it did not rain!! So it turned out very nice because the sun wasn't beating down on us. The hotel rooms , pools were very nice. We loved going to Sloppy joe's for drinks and the cafe had amazing food!
As soon as we checked out of the Bilmar I wanted to go back. We can't wait to plan our next trip there, which will
