Bill Hansen is the absolute best!

The absolute best caterers! We are huge foodies, and knew that food was going to be such an important part of our wedding. We also knew that given we both have different cultural backgrounds, incorporating our cultures into our wedding food was going to be important to not only us, but our families. We are so happy we had Bill Hansen on our team to make our wedding dreams come true. From the first meeting with Sandra and Chef Mary, we knew we were in great hands. Chef Mary is a culinary artist: she not only did the research to make sure she delivered authentic and tasteful interpretations of the Jamaican and Ethipioan dishes we wanted present, but she plated, decorated and served them in such a fantastic fashion, that truly delighted all of our family and guests. Sandra is a dream collaborator: she is so organized, efficient, and professional, and would work alongside us to make sure all of our desires were met. I cannot thank them enough for being part of our special day-we cant have imagined it without them!

Perfect Wedding

Our wedding at Villa Woodbine was better than perfect. We started our journey with Gen, Eva, and team a little over a year ago and the process has been beyond smooth. The team brought a level of professionalism and communication that was much appreciated, from planned check-ins to taking our random calls for questions we had along the way.

The team does a great job ensuring that they can provide you with the vendors and catering that will make your night perfect. The food and drinks were beyond delicious and the best I have had of any venue. The staff at the venue were beyond attentive and professional, making our night stress-free and beautiful.

If you want a venue that not only gives you a feeling of being in a secret gorgeous hideaway, but also with staff that will ensure your night is fantastic, pick Villa Woodbine.

Outstanding

Genevieve, Eva, and the entire Bill Hansen team were absolutely phenomenal. They are truly such an impressive group — everything was thoughtfully planned, flawlessly executed, and completely seamless. It could not have gone any better. The food was fabulous, and from set-up to tear-down we didn’t lift a single finger. We hosted an 80-person brunch at my family’s home, and they hit it completely out of the park. Truly, any party after this one without the Bill Hansen team would be a miss. Bravo, 5 stars.

Delicious food!

Unbelievable service!

When we started planning our wedding, we knew that food would be at the heart of the celebration and that we needed to find the best caterers in the area. Bill Hansen Catering was one of the very first vendors we contacted (before even finalizing our venue!) and we were connected with Ashley on the BHC team. She quickly became our go-to trusted Miami expert for all things catering and beyond. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond her role as an event producer. She toured multiple venues with us, sent us her trusted recommendations for additional vendors (e.g., florals, djs, etc.), and was always quick to respond to all of our questions. From beginning to end, our experience with BHC was flawless. Their food offerings were not only delicious, but also diverse allowing us to have our cultures represented. Our guests have continuously mentioned how attentive the staff was and how friendly the bartenders were throughout the event. We are so appreciative to Ashley and the entire BHC team!

Bill Hansen's catering sales and staff are top notch! They are always on top of small details, food is delicious and their staff make for a perfect evening. Valentina and team were amazing

This is phenomenally long overdue (wedding was last March), but I guess it’s coming in under a year, so there’s that.
Valentina and Bill Hansen Catering were phenomenally helpful and wonderful.

We used Bill Hansen for food, alcohol, tables, chairs, diningware, cloth_things, and the dance floor (and this is what I can remember - there’s prolly more).

Before the wedding: We settled on Bill Hansen as a friend of mine had used them in the spring on 2019 and they had great reviews. They were immediately wonderful at iterating through and replying to our requests and were very transparent about what changes would cost. Valentina was really fast with a reply and the communication was wonderful. The tasting was also great.
Further, whenever we weren't sure where to get something, we’d reach out and they’d either give a good price price (e.g., we went with their dance floor) or they sent us in the right direction.
Valentina was one of the most on-top-of-it people across most business I’ve seen - she’s a rockstar.

During the wedding: The food was the bombdotcom.com (that’s right, two “dotcoms”). We did the surf and turf and the steak and the salmon were both incredibly well made. Everything else was also great. We went with a Caipirinha as a custom cocktail and they were really really good (my aunts leaned in on them maybe a little too much?). Finally (on thing things), they let us bring in a couple cases of Sam Adams to match the hometown drinks feel (did the Boston (Sam Adams) and Sao Paulo (Caipirinha) thing), and that made it that much more special.
On the service thing (not the things thing), it’s been a year, and I don’t remember one interaction with the staff outside of the bartenders being amazing. I think this speaks to how amazing they all were - this was a highly effective staff who got the amazing food out quickly and whose bartenders never had a long line (something I was worried about beforehand).

I can’t endorse Bill Hansen enough - the food/drinks and the service were all phenomenal. A special shoutout to Valentina - she was really great to work with.

Really delivered

We had a wonderful experience with Bill Hansen. Despite being a large business, and a very established name, they pursued our business with vigor, personality and flexibility. Great communication all the way. And on the night they really delivered. Service was impeccable and the food was excellent. I honestly came into it with small expectations; I had never eaten memorable food at a wedding. But one of the things people always mention about our night was the food.

Best Caterer in Miami

When you think about a caterer, you think of delicious food and this entire team absolutely provides the most excellent and delicious food. But what truly sets Bill Hansen Catering apart from other Caterers is the combination of their gourmet food and their superior event execution.

I am so grateful to Sandra Perez and the entire Bill Hansen team. Sandra was an amazing partner and I am thankful for her patience, kindness, organization, collaboration, and creativity for my wedding at Deering Estate. She took the time to listen to me, understand what I wanted out of my event, and execute upon my vision perfectly.

Sandra is so capable in event organization and execution that I felt my wedding planner was no longer needed in the wedding planning process. She is a brilliant event planner AND caterer who made my wedding day run flawlessly. Many people in the event industry treat your wedding/event as "just another event", but Sandra made me feel as though this was the most important event. I trusted her through every step of the process.

I would also be remiss if I did not celebrate the chef/mixologist and highlight some of my favorite parts of the meal/cocktail hour itself! We chose the Guava Rose cocktail as our welcome drink. It was such a pretty welcome drinks and the guests loved the flavor. For the cocktail hour we chose the spicy margarita and the mojito. Both were delicious and especially impressive given the large volume they had to make (150+ guests). We had many delicious passed hors d'oeuvres, but I still dream about the bacon wrapped maduros (sweet plantains). Lastly, the dinner (churrasco steak and yucca crusted mahi) was phenomenal. Again, it was so impressive that the quality did not falter while they cooked large volumes of food. This is another factor that sets Bill Hansen apart from any other caterers I have experienced. (My guests STILL talk to me about how good the food was and my wedding was over a month ago!)

Lastly, one unique thing that I requested from Sandra was that she provide iced tea to my mom (who drinks iced tea constantly!!) for the wedding day. When we showed up to the event, Sandra had a vat of perfectly brewed iced tea. While many may view this detail as silly/forgettable, Sandra knew this detail was actually very important to us and it showed how much Sandra really did care about the success of our day.

Great value, incredible food and service

The whole Bill Hansen team and Sandra Perez in particular truly rock. Sandra took us A to Z, was incredibly transparent about pricing, and the whole team did everything they promised on wedding day and more.

The best thing about the Bill Hansen approach is that it's a one stop shop. They did all the rentals, all the food, all the drinks, all the wait and bar staff, all the load in and clean up, and it was just done, on time and with personal attention and care. For example, after the ceremony a waiter brought us a personal platter of every appetizer so we didn't miss out on anything while we did photos and talked to guests.

And everything from the tables and chairs to the plates, food and drinks is customizable. They have a great showroom and tasting space at Villa Woodbine where you can go through everything and take your time to get the look and tastes that you want.

The team was incredibly responsive, and all the guests loved the food (as did we). They accommodated a variety of rather complex allergies and dietary restrictions (veggie, vegan, nut allergy, dairy allergy, gluten free, and combinations of above). In short, can't recommend them enough. Thanks for making it such a special day Sandra!

Incredible

Eden, Casey-Lyn, and the team at Bill Hansen are an absolute dream to work with. They made our wedding vision come to life! The food is incredible, and our friends and family are still calling to say it was the best wedding food ever. Everything was delicious. Eden worked with us on everything from the menu, to designing the table settings, to recommending and introducing us to florists that she thought matched our vision. We loved working with Eden and Bill Hansen. If I ever have another event that needs catering, it's not even a question for me that I will be contacting Eden. I can't recommend Bill Hansen enough! They made our wedding flow seamlessly and all of the servers were amazing. Eden is just so on top of everything and really cares about each event. We feel lucky that we had such an amazing vendor team to help make our wedding the best night of our lives!

Dream Custom Catering

From our very first conversation with Eden, Brad and I felt completely at ease. The entire planning process was seamless from the tasting to selecting florals to booking the DJ--the full-service team had us feeling like we were well taken care of. On the day of the wedding, we couldn't stop gushing over how my Pinterest page became our reality. The operations team is incredibly attentive to the guests, and most importantly to us, ensuring we had a moment to indulge alongside our loved ones. The food was phenomenal! The party was so fun, and we can't thank the Bill Hansen Catering staff enough for making it so enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend and 100% would use again for any future event.

Bill Hansen Catering is the way to go

I had scheduled tastings with several caterers, but none came close to the experience and professionalism of Bill Hansen Catering. At first I had wanted to find a small, local shop to support, but BHC just raised the bar at every step. First, BHC's tasting was hosted in a gorgeous venue. The long-time owner, Bill, came out to welcome me even though I was surely a lower budget event for them. The food tasted spectacularly with looks to match. (Seriously I never thought chicken could be so uniquely delicious.) Chef Dewey was awesome. Accommodating, creative, and patient. But the highlight above all was Sandra Perez. She was such an anchor for us during our wedding weekend. Insanely responsive and will do anything to make sure your event goes smoothly. She went above and beyond on the wedding day to keep us fed and help out with other areas that were surely not in her scope. Ok, BHC wasn't cheap, but I love good food and it was so validating to have every guest tell me how unexpectedly amazing the food was. Highly recommend BHC, and especially the power combo of Sandra and Chef Dewey :)

Most magical wedding day!

A Dream Come True

Amazing Bill Hansen Catering

We had the most magical wedding experience at Villa Woodbine, the grounds are so romantic and enchanting, the staff and catering exceeded our expectations, our guest were raving about the food and their overall experience days after! BH is the best in Miami!!

We have been to so many weddings with bad food, this was super important to us. BH and Thierry were top two choices and after discussing with our wedding planner who have done tasting with both, she said food by BH is light years better. We went with BH and absolutely loved our tasting, planning process, and food on the day of. Sandra was so accommodating with our requests and the team nailed it on the day of. This steak was the best steak at a wedding that my father in law has ever had! Thank you so much BH and sandra!!!!!

Best Wedding Production Team & Best Wedding Food!!!

Bill Hansen Catering is the best of the best!! Cannot recommend this team enough! We were planning a wedding from out of state so everything was over phone/email. Gen and her team helped us every step of the way. They were always available when we reached out and followed up so quickly. They offered helpful recommendations which made our wedding planning process so seamless. Found all vendors on the Villa Woodbine Instagram- highly recommend Summer Nicole for day of coordinator and Erika at Miami Center Pieces for florals! Our guests had the best time and told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! We agree! The unique drinks and creative apps were very impressive and I am a big time foodie!! All in all our wedding was an absolute dream from the planning process to the execution. Gen is a true delight to work with and went above and beyond for us! Also Lina with Lyt Productions was an angel with helping plan all of the live musicians and hora loca dancers! Killed the kosher game!

What can I say about Eden and the rest of the bill hansen team. We asked them to do a KOSHER wedding and two venues with no kitchens and they somehow made magic happen. Eden was so easy to work with and any issue we had a long the way she found a solution for us. Our wedding weekend went smoothly and Eden and the Bill Hansen team were instrumental in it all!

I just want to start off by saying thank you! We could not have picked a better company to help us make our dream wedding come true. Beautiful Wedding Day

We got married on March 6 after 2.5 years of planning (thanks to COVID for a 1 year postponement) and the team at Bill Hansen Catering was absolutely incredible through the whole process. Working with Genevieve and Stefania and the whole BHC team was so easy and the day was everything we wanted! Our guests have not stopped talking to us about how good the food was and they just made our day so special. Cannot recommend them more. They handled food, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, flatware (so basically everything), gave us so many amazing recommendations for the few things they don't handle in house, and overall were a dream.

Delicious Micro-Wedding

We had a 50 person wedding at a private venue. Bill Hansen handled the food, drinks and rentals. We said food and drinks were the most important thing and they made that a reality for us. Even though the wedding was small and simple, the room looked elegant. Even my husband was surprised how nice the room looked! Best decision

Bill Hansen was highly recommended by many of my friends, my wedding planner, and pretty much every other vendors I hired. Bill Hansen was definitely one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We did a very thorough research of all the catering companies in south Florida, and trust me, there is nowhere like BH. From my first meeting with Eden and Marissa, I fell in love with the team. I was a scared and anxious bride who didn't know where to begin with wedding planning. However, after my first meeting with Eden and my incredible planner (vanessa from karma goddess) by my side, my stress was gone as I knew I was in experts' hands. Eden, from the beginning, was so accommodating and kind while giving great but honest recommendations. I could trust her immediately and she made me feel at ease. When I went for our tasting, OMG- of course I heard amazing things about BH but I did not expect their food to completely blow me away. From their welcome cocktail to their steak to their late night snacks- they were some of the best food I ever had. We had to move our wedding three times, but marissa and eden were incredibly supportive throughout two years of changing plans. The wedding day came, and I could not believe I was looking at one of the most beautiful weddings I had ever seen, and it was OUR wedding. I had visions that I couldn't convey fully, but it was as if they read my mind and created a wedding that was even better than anything I could have dreamt of. My guests also- to this day- rave about how amazing the food was. Some even said it was the best steak they have ever tasted. Best wedding food

We cannot say enough great things about the food and the customer service of the Bill Hansen Catering staff. The food is incredible. You will not be getting standard wedding food here - this is high end restaurant quality. Not only is it the best wedding food we’ve ever had, but the Bill Hansen Catering staff worked with us to create a unique menu based on anything we desired. We felt like a king and queen at our menu tasting and it will be a day we will remember forever (for being so incredibly happy and full!). We chose two of their classic stations, the Cuban and the Fire and Ice, but we also made our own station based on our travels to France, Spain, and Thailand. They absolutely nailed it and the green curry with rice was one of the best rated items on our menu! They were extremely flexible in working with what we wanted. Highly recommended!!

Best Wedding Caterer Ever

Where do I begin!!!!? First of all, Eden is a godsend and an angel. It was an absolute joy working with Bill Hansen for our wedding. Their tables and chairs were beautiful, they are accommodating, they work with you and help you in any way they can. Eden made the entire process such a joy. The tasting was so professional but so so fun and they take you and your event very seriously. The appetizers, raw bar, welcome drinks, and dinner were so incredible. We had many guests telling us that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. The price was beyond reasonable and I simply can not say enough.

Incredibly Catering and Service

We found Bill Hansen Catering because a friend used them for their wedding at one of their locations, Villa Woodbine. Our wedding was at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens and Bill Hansen catered and provided all furniture and catering staff. From day 1 working with Sandra she was responsive, flexible as we changed plans and set on providing fantastic service. From our first tasting we were overwhelmed with how good the food was! Usually the food at weddings isn't necessarily the highlight, but our guests continue to comment to me how fantastic the hors d'oeuvres and dinner was. The servers as well were very attentive and safe with the pandemic-- they all test before events and wore masks during the event. I highly recommend booking with Bill Hansen and working with Sandra to make your wedding as magical as ours was!

Miami Wedding GOALS

Sandra and the Villa Woodbine team were absolutely amazing. Everyone told me having an intimate covid wedding miles away from my home would be stressful. Dream come true

Bill Hansen catering and Villa Woodbine were phenomenal. They dealt with three event date changes due to COVID-19 and never made me feel like a burden. Their flexibility, professionalism, and patience were outstanding. Valentina, in particular, took care of every detail, kept everything organized, and went out of her way to make sure that I enjoyed every minute of our wedding day, including the food - which she specially set aside for me (since I'm vegan). The venue is the most beautiful place in all of Miami - a hidden gem. The food was delicious, all the guests were raving about it. Everything was excellent. My day was more magical than I could have ever dreamed and Bill Hansen, Valentina, and their team are to thank for it.

Still drooling over the food

ALL of our wedding guests could not stop talking about the food! I remember doing the tasting and being blown away, but their execution during our wedding was beautiful, professional, and most of all delicious and of the best quality. We had guests asking if our food was catered from a local restaurant because they wanted to order from them. Money well spent!

And can we talk about Villa Woodbine and the staff? The villa is truly magical on it's own and took the wind out of me as I arrived and saw the final product on my wedding day. Ashley Morales worked with my husband and I for a year and was responsive, kind, helpful and honest. She made our experience unforgettable and we are so thankful for her! I can't say enough good things about the venue and food.

Best night of our lives

How do you put perfection into words? We fell in love with Villa Woodbine the moment we drove up and put eyes on the balcony. The venue has a way of capturing not only your attention but your heart. In and of itself, it is an absolutely breathtaking venue but it also gives you a blank canvas. This canvas allows you to bring your vision to life.

Not only is the venue incredible, but the Bill Hansen catering is phenomenal. It affords you a multitude of options and the food is to die for. Numerous guests commented on how it was some of the best food they have been served at a wedding.

Most importantly, if you have the chance to work with Valentina, DO IT. She is the best of the best. We would have another wedding just to work with her again (and hang out with her). We are not from the Miami area and she went above and beyond to help us. She understood our vision and connected us with the right vendors. She definitely went out of her own way to help us get everything we wanted.

Thank you Villa Woodbine for the best night of our lives. It was by far the best wedding we have ever been to :)

I wanted to take the time to write a review for Bill Hansen and the great service they provided. Everything was very easy from the beginning. I ended up getting married at vizcaya during the pandemic after several postponements and I can honestly say I had a very smooth experience because of Sandra; she was there every step of the way and really helped with every unforeseen situation. Amazing food & team!

Sandra and the team at Bill Hansen were great to work with. We worked with them for our wedding at the Deering Estate for our food & drinks, tableware and dance floor rental. The food was outstanding... we got so many compliments from our guests that it was the best food they’ve ever had at wedding! Bill Hansen Catering was a pleasure to work with and we would definitely work with them again! We got married at Spur of the Moment Ranch in Homestead and this was their first time catering at that venue, but you never would have known it! Genevieve was so easy to work with and made sure every detail was taken care of. The day of cancellations were no issue and everyone LOVED their food - especially the sliced bistro steak! we had 105 people order the steak out of 120 and we had nothing but positive comments "the best food i have ever eaten at a wedding" and "The is the first time I have had wedding food that is actually still hot when it got to me" were some of my favorites. highly recommend!

I had my wedding with Bill Hansen Catering at Villa Woodbine on January 22, 2021. The team is incredible! I worked closely with Eden, she is very detailed and and made sure to bring my vision to life. She made sure to answer any question I had in a prompt manner and made the wedding planning process go smoothly. Amazing catering company! My fiancé and I were originally supposed to get married June 2020 in Michigan but had to cancel because of COVID, we postponed our wedding and decided to do a destination with our closest family and friends in Miami, Florida. Amazing Experience - Dream Wedding!

I can't recommend Bill Hansen Catering enough! My husband and I spent almost 2 years planning a destination wedding in Italy, but it was unfortunately cancelled 4 weeks before our big day because of Covid. We decided to get married here in Miami instead! We found Villa Woodbine and Bill Hansen Catering after a bit of research, and the rest is history! We met with Genevieve at the venue (she is a rockstar, by the way) and planned our dream wedding in less than 3 months. They were able to see our vision and pair us with the most incredible vendors. From the food, to the decor, to the cocktails, everything turned out perfect and our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was. It truly was such a fun, easy, and wonderful experience! I wish we could do it all over again.

Best Day Ever!!!

Villa Woodbine was the most incredible venue! Since the moment we drove in we felt in love with the magic of the venue! It was 1000 times more beautiful in person than in images, we fell in love with every detail, the courtyard, the backyard, the rooms, it was all just so perfect. The team was incredible, starting with the fact that we got married through the pandemic. Eden and Marissa were so helpful with everything even after having to postpone they were in constant contact with us updating us with all changes. Finally the day came and we got to say I do in front of all of our friends and family. Even in the middle of a rainstorm the staff made sure all of our needs were met. The raindrops made the clear tent even more beautiful. You plan for this day for such a long time expecting some things to go wrong but at this beautiful venue with this amazing team everything was PERFECT!

Intimate Wedding 9/14/2020

We had an intimate wedding at Villa Woodbine on September 14, 2020. While we did not have the pleasure of having a full, sit-down dinner with Bill Hansen Catering (BHC), we did have the most delicious hors d'oeuvres! My personal favorite was the Petite Jalapeno Corn Muffin w/ Short Rib Ropa Vieja and my husband's was the Smoked Chicken Quesadilla- YUMMY! We also had the Grilled Cheese 2.0, which was a huge hit with our guests. The chef/s did a fantastic job and the servers performed their jobs with such graciousness. All while in the Florida heat, WITH FACE MASKS! We could not have been happier with the service we received from BHC. If you are considering this company as your caterer, they will not disappoint!

Wedding at Villa Woodbine

Having our wedding at Villa Woodbine was a dream. Everything went flawlessly and was what we dreamed of and more. The venue is absolutely beautiful. With the lights, trees, and all of the decor it was so romantic and breathtaking. Ashley was wonderful working with us to prepare all of the details and was always willing to go above and beyond to help. The food is FANTASTIC. We had such a hard time deciding what to choose because everything we tasted was phenomenal. The service was great too. Our guests arrived early, and they began to serve welcome drinks right away while they waited. They also catered to us as the bride and groom. They brought us up platters of hors d’oeuvres to the bridal suite during cocktail hour, gave us an extra meal at the end of the night to take home, and even continued to make the welcome drink all night for me. Highly recommend!

The Venue of My Dreams

My then fiance and I knew from the start that our wedding would take please at Villa Woodbine. It is elegant and captures "old Florida" in a breathtaking way. The icing on the cake was the amazing staff, specifically Ashley Morales. She was an absolute dream to work with and helped us every step of the way. Romantic Wedding of my Dreams

I got married at Villa Woodbine on October 12th and it was a wedding beyond my dreams. A large part of this was due to Bill Hansen Catering & Event Production, with Eden Bauer-Foster as my event coordinator. They went above and beyond at every corner, making sure that the wedding went perfectly and beautifully and it did. First, the food was absolutely delicious. I don't think there was a single guest that didn't mention this to me! Second, they made sure to make my random pinterest inspired dreams come to life, even if it meant chasing leads to find the smallest limes possible! And, if all that wasn't enough, they also provided a beautiful surprise on my wedding day for me and my husband AND our guests - our engagement photo superimposed onto our cocktail hour drinks! There is so much more but I have to stop writing at some point. Not only were the actual products provided amazing, but the service was above and beyond. I truly don't think there is a better team and I am eternally grateful they were a part of my wedding day. I will never forget it.

The Perfect Miami Wedding

I met Ashley about 2 years ago through a friend. After speaking with Ashley, she noted that she works at Bill Hansen Catering (very prestigious in the south Florida area). Ashley offered to take the day to show me 4-5 venues that they work with and we fell in love with the Deering Estate. Throughout the entire process of deciding plated vs stations, coffee bar, open bar and the food choices, Ashley was 100% on top of everything! She responded instantly to my emails and texts and we actually became friends through this process. It was also a fun trip to go visit her at her office (Villa Woodbine) because it was so beautiful. Fast forward to November 2, 2019 - our guests RAVED about the food, how it was so plentiful and warm. They RAVED about the hors d'oeuvres and welcome Mojitos. The guests said the coffee from the international coffee cart was some of the best they've ever had. And the bartenders were so sweet and made amazing mixed drinks. We are still on cloud 9 reminiscing about our perfect day and how the entire team at Bill Hansen Catering along with our wedding planner, The Creatives Loft, made our dreams come true (and stress-free). We can't thank you enough!

Drool Worthy Food with Exceptional Service

Bill Hansen catering was just one of many amenities that came with Villa Woodbine for my wedding. Not a single guest complimented my wedding without noting how delicious the food was. I cannot say that I have ever been to a catered event that offered food this good. It is difficult to pull off cooking custom created dishes for large numbers of people, but Bill Hansen pulled it off seamlessly. And to top it off, the staff treated everyone like royalty. My expectations were exceeded and then some.

My Wedding Reception was a success

Oh, what a night!

Where do I even start!

We recently got married at Villa Woodbine and Bill Hansen was our caterer.

This whole process was absolutely amazing. From the day I met Ashley our coordinator throughout this whole process, she was just the sweetest. She was patient and answered all my questions, even if I had to ask multiple times lol. Leading up to the event she was always easy to get a hold of and always open and honest.

We chose to do the Villa's summer deal that had been offered to us which made everything a lot easier on us since some of the vendors were included in this package (catering, florist, DJ, Tables, linens, outdoor AC tent). This made the planning process a lot more simple for me since I didn't have to go out and search for each of these.

The day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch! As far as getting ready purposes, we didn't choose to get ready in the bridal suite at the Villa (we were a lot of girls) we wouldn't have fit comfortably with all the makeup and hair artists too.

Anthony was our coordinator from the venue the day of the actual wedding and Ashley stuck around and helped out for a bit too. Anthony was amazing he made sure we had everything we needed and made sure to check in with us throughout the night to make sure we were doing fine.

We actually got to eat the food at our wedding lol not just at the tasting and truly it was delicious! I am an extremely picky eater and always hate catered food, for months leading up to the event I had been saying how I just want going to eat at my wedding and I'd just Uber McDonald's lol. So when I got the chance to try it at the tasting I was SO pleasantly surprised! It was actually delicious from start to finish!

The AC tent was an absolute lifesaver (and was actually really cold!) it was Miami summer hot out and everyone was extremely grateful for the tent. Although the dancing was outdoors, everyone was having too much fun to care about the heat at that point.

I can honestly that everything turned out perfectly, I couldn't have imagined how seamless everything turned out! Huge thank you to everyone from Bill Hansen & the Villa!

I used Bill Hansen Catering Company for my daughter's wedding on June 1st. I worked with a lovely and knowledgeable Event Producer named Rachel, and she did an amazing job!! The food was fabulous, the presentation was beautiful, and she was so helpful in every step of the planning process. When I asked for recommendations for other vendors, she quickly responded with wonderful choices for me to pick from. Planning a wedding can be stressful especially if you don't live in Miami, but Rachel did a fabulous job of helping me to navigate through this process from afar. Absolutely incredible food, service and team! our wedding was a destination wedding and I could not imagine going with any other catering company. They were more than just a catering company they helped bring my entire vision to life. Rachel Rodriguez was absolutely amazing from the start and helped with so many aspects of our day. Delicious, Outstanding, & Flawless

Bill Hansen is by far one of the best catering companies I have had the pleasure of tasting and working with. Their food is delicious and it showed through my guests' clean plates. We are very happy that we chose to work with Bill Hansen catering for our wedding. I always knew their food and service was great, but we still looked at other options to find the best price. At the end of the day, the difference in pricing was not by such a large amount. Their quality and professionalism is the reason I feel they are a 5-star company. A year prior to our wedding I contacted Ashley, the event producer. She was absolutely amazing to work with. She came to visit venues with us and show us what Bill Hansen has to offer. They are truly a total package when it comes to making your wedding day perfect and flawless! After postponing our original wedding date due to schooling, I didn't contact her again until a year later when we decided the gap out of school would be a perfect opportunity. The only thing was now we had 3 months to plan the wedding of our dreams. Ashley was so patient with all my changes and requests (and boy did I make lots of changes!). Every week, she was keeping me updating and constantly communicating with me in order to create the perfect menu and reception for us. It's a great feeling to hear from all my guest how much they enjoyed our wedding and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our decision to work with Bill Hansen.

Best wedding caterer ever!

We first heard of/had Bill Hansen last year at my sister’s wedding... all I ever thought about was their amazing hors’doeuvres. OHMYGOODNESS! They were absolutely delicious! Fast forward to my wedding in February, I knew I wanted to have their hors’ doeuvres, mainly for me 😂. I had first contacted them 8 months prior to our wedding day & when I told them where I was getting married, they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect event producer, Eden Bauer, as she also got married at the same venue (Estancia Culinaria, Redland, FL). She was super patient & worked w us to make sure we had exactly what we wanted & needed! God bless her, I had questions on questions but she made it sooo easy for me, I say me because I was internally stressing out!!!

We had been studying their menu back & forth, day & night, to make sure we had the most amazing dinner menu for our guests & ourselves (we both are super foodies & loooooove to eat!) Once we chose our menu... the most fun part of our wedding planning finally came! THE FOOD TASTING!! Upon our arrival we were greeted by (& finally met) Eden & her event coordinator, Genevieve & they were absolutely wonderful in person. The hospitality that was given to us was like no other. Their venue itself was soo beautiful! We also met our chef, Chef Mary, who was sooo sweet! All the food tastings that were brought out completely BLEW OUR MINDS!!! Way better than I remembered! (We highly recommend the Blue Crab Tostones, Seared Tuna Won Ton Crisp Cup, & Brie Tartlets for hors’ doeuvres) I cannot stop thinking about those!! We had chosen to do 3 dinner stations rather than the typical sit down dinner, we wanted variety & options for our guests & let me tell you, I couldn’t wait for them to eat what we had selected. Everything was divine! We had also surprised our guests w a late night STREET FOOD station & my guests couldn’t believe there was more food. I dream about the short rib Philly cheesesteak 🤤

Now for our wedding day, our event supervisor Anthony, could not have been any more amazing & attentive to us & our needs, he made sure we had our plate of food, a full glass & always came to check if we had needed anything. I never thought I would have been able to have the wedding of my dreams w a BOMB ASS TEAM!!! I can’t thank Bill Hansen Catering enough! Those who I mentioned & all the servers, bartenders, cooks, clean up crew YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!!! THANKYOUUUUUUU ♥️

PS. All of my guests till this day continue to rave about the menu & have said that our menu was the BEST THEY’VE EVER HAD!

Our whole experience with Bill Hansen Catering for our daughter's wedding was exceptional. The Director of Catering, Sandra, was so knowledgeable and helpful and very responsive. She guided us through all of the decision making seamlessly from food to flowers to table set-up, etc. As to the catering, every aspect of the food was amazing....the varied selections for the appetizers, the presentation, and most importantly the taste. Our guests were so very complimentary. We chose Villa Woodbine for our venue and it was a spectacular setting. I would highly recommend this vendor for anyone planning a wedding in Coconut Grove.

Magical setting for your big day!

I would strongly recommend booking with Villa Woodbine! I worked with Eden and Yulitza and they were both amazing! From start to finish, working with Bill Hansen catering and the team at Villa Woodbine was wonderful. They always answered my countless questions and emails with a smile. Absolutely incredible team!

We were lucky enough to be referred to the Villa Woodbine by a consultant when I was trying on wedding dresses one afternoon. We hadn’t chosen a wedding venue yet, and when I explained what I was looking for to my dress consultant, she insisted that we had to check out the venue. She had gone to weddings there before, and if she could “redo her wedding, it would be there!” We are so grateful that we took her advice, and ultimately chose the Villa Woodbine and Bill Hansen Catering for our wedding!

We just honestly cannot say enough about their team, and their food! Immediately upon meeting Sandra, the Director of Catering and Events, we knew we would be great hands! I am a bit organizational and detail-oriented but planning a wedding is daunting, especially when you’re not living in the state during a majority of the wedding planning process. When we booked the venue, I was still living in Arizona attending school while my fiancé, now husband, was working and living in Florida. Doing long distance was hard enough—now doing distance while engaged, trying to plan our wedding, and attending school and trying to find a psych internship across the country… we were stressed. Sandra jumped in as more than just our venue coordinator. Sure, she took care of EVERY wedding detail for us—found us great music, florals, day-of coordinator, etc., but she became a good friend! She cheered for us when I was finally able to move out to Florida, and I have never seen our little pup love going to visit someone more! 

The venue is dreamy and romantic—go with the bistro lighting, it’s beautiful. The food is absolutely delish and unique—our guests are still raving about it. And the people that you will work with—well, as I said before, there just isn’t enough I could say… they made our planning experience fun and seamless, and our wedding was beyond our dreams.

Magical venue

I can't express how magical my wedding was this past weekend at Villa Woodbine. Sandra and Bill Hansen did an incredible job. Sandra was so helpful, hands-on and extremely accommodating. I've been inundated with messages from my guests raving about the food and venue and just overall experience. Pictures don't do the venue justice - you have to be in the moment to really take in how incredible this place is. Dream wedding at Villa Woodbine

Choosing to have my wedding at Villa Woodbine was hands down one of the best decisions I have ever made. After visiting numerous wedding venues, I eventually stumbled upon Villa Woodbine and instantly knew that this was the place I wanted to get married. It had everything I wanted and more- lush greenery, old Florida architecture, delicious food and the opportunity to work with the amazing Bill Hansen team. With 212 people attending our wedding my biggest concern was making sure everyone was served at the same time and that the food be hot. The dinner was flawless and the amount of compliments we received was astounding. I had always heard rave reviews about Bill Hansen catering and I can now attest that they were spot on!
During my two- year engagement my mother and I worked extensively with Sandra, our wedding coordinator. From the very beginning it was clear that Sandra possessed all the skills and qualities a dream wedding coordinator would have. She was extremely organized, accountable, patient, flexible, detail oriented and seriously always just a phone call or text away. Her sense of humor, warm personality, quick email/call/text responses, excellent sense of execution were some of her best traits.
The Villa itself was to die for the moment we walked in. The customer service from the entire staff at Villa is amazing. What I loved about it the most was the I did not have to worry about a thing because on wedding day, things ran just as we had planned.
Pros:
• The Villa is absolutely beautiful! I love how it’s intimate and it doesn’t feel just like another venue.
• Since we had our wedding in September, we had to use the tent. The tent was with AC and the chandeliers that were included were beautiful.
• Food tasting from what I’ve heard never taste the same on wedding day but surprisingly, it actually did!
• Lissette who was the Event Manager on wedding day made sure things ran smoothly.
• Kuddos to the Chef and catering team as all guests raved about how exquisite the food was along with its presentation and how attentive the Waiters were.
• I love how a platter of appetizers was set aside for us. I’ve heard time after time that the bride and groom rarely try these on their weddings because of the photos that follow the ceremony. But Ashley and Lissette ensured we tried these and we also got to try our Welcome Drink which was absolutely delicious!
Cons:
• Courtyard: It’s extremely hot in the courtyard and dancing area. Although the Villa is a historic site and limited things can be done to the architecture, I think there should be a way where additional fans or cooling system can be installed. This would make it much more comfortable to guests where they can come ou

Let me tell you before I start, if you are reading this wondering if Bill Hansen is worth it...YES. THEY REALLY ARE! We had our wedding (both ceremony & reception) at the beautiful Villa Woodbine - exclusive to Bill Hansen & his amazing team. From the very first phone call to the very last minute of our reception, Bill Hansen brought a sense of calm & professionalism and we knew we were in good hands. The customer service they provided was above and beyond and the attention to detail was a breath of fresh air. As the bride and groom you want to know that your caterers understand this is the most important day of your lives and you do not want to feel like just another customer and they give you that and more. Simple things, like for example, during our food tasting we were greeted with champagne at the venue, they made me, my wife and our mothers feel very welcome and they even set up our table just as it would be on the wedding day so they could bring our vision to reality. We got the feeling that they shared our enthusiasm and their passion in their work showed. We worked specifically with Ashley and she was AMAZING. She has excellent communication skills and she was very transparent in what we could and could not do with our budget and on the day of she ensured that everything was perfect. We believe what sets Bill Hansen apart from the rest of the companies out there in Miami is the value they bring to the table. I can't simply leave this review without mentioning the amazing food - We are after all talking about a catering company. The absolute best (and seemingly unlimited) hors d'oeuvres on this planet. We had the "chicken" and "Salmon" for our entree choices and those simple descriptions just simply do not do it justice. Do yourself a favor and book Bill Hansen....yesterday.

Eden was fantastic to work with. I can't say thank you enough! Without her and her team my wedding wouldn’t have been possible. It was exactly what I imagined and it turned out beautiful. She pays attention to detail and is so accommodating. Her vendor recommendations were also spot on. Working with her made the wedding planning experience easy and painless.

I cannot thank the team at Bill Hansen Catering enough! We got married two weeks ago, and everything was perfect.

My husband and I visited Villa Woodbine 2 years prior to our wedding and knew instantly that it was the venue we wanted. The location is private, intimate and everything about the property and grounds gave us the most beautiful wedding.

When planning our destination wedding (which went on for two years), Eden was incredible. Her professionalism, attention to detail and help was wonderful, she helped me organize and plan out everything, and even when I sent her late night emails with concerns, she responded quickly and reassured me every step of the way. Even with last minute changes a few days before the wedding, she took care of it all for us.

Our on the day planner Liz was a joy to work with, she got it spot on. Their attention to detail is second to none. Their food is incredible, service is amazing and I cannot recommend Eden and the team enough. They exceeded every expectation in every single way.

Bill Hansen Catering is a great catering company and definitely one of the best values for the quality of service and food they cater (I would know, I spent months researching!). We had our wedding at the Kampong in March and many of our guests are still to this day raving about the food at our wedding and even trying to replicate it at home! Apart from the great food, the service that Bill Hansen and his team provide is top notch! Looking back, I was probably a very annoying bride -- very indecisive and would lose sleep over things like picking the right shade of gold for my linens. I was losing my mind but Sandra would acknowledge my concerns and would help me with decisions like linens by ordering the gold linen shades she had available and setting them up in different light settings so that I could really see how the final product would look like. 5 stars for sure!

So happy I chose Villa Woodbine for my Wedding! The Venue is just beautiful! My guest complimented just about everything, especially the food!! My wedding had a "Forces of Nature" moment causing my center pieces to fall over prior to guest seating! Eden was able to improvise immediately with new centerpieces! She accommodates the Bride in any way she can because she genuinely cares to make sure you have the perfect day!

We hired Bill Hansen for our outdoor wedding at Estancia Culinaria in December, and I can’t rave enough about their food and level of service.

The food on our wedding day was perfectly cooked and delicious. My husband and I were very pleased with how all the food turned out, and our guests were too. And while their food was absolutely delicious, I think that Bill Hansen’s level of service and attention to detail is what really makes them stand out. We were afraid that we wouldn’t be able to eat on our actual wedding day, because we’ve had so many friends tell us they weren’t able to on their wedding days. But the BHC team made sure we were nice and fed throughout the night. Any time an hor d'oeuvres came out, they came directly to us to make sure we were able to get some food in the midst of mingling with our guests (I really needed to have some of the Nicaraguan Chicken pastelitos!!), which we greatly appreciated. Later that evening it took us a while to get back to our table and have our dinner. As soon as we sat down one of the members of the BHC team came over to ask if wanted a fresh plate of food, since ours had been sitting out for a while. Within a few seconds we had a fresh, warm plate at our table. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it? We were just so impressed with their level of service and attentiveness throughout the entire evening.

In addition to catering our event, Bill Hansen handled all of our rentals (tables, chairs, linens, tents, dance floor, generator, etc.) for the wedding. Eden Bauer did an excellent job coordinating our event, making sure that everything was in order. She was also incredibly responsive whenever we had any questions regarding rentals or any miscellaneous things that came up. She really made us feel comfortable and taken care of, which is what you need in the midst of all the wedding planning chaos. Thank you soo much, Eden!

Villa Woodbine exceeded my wildest expectations for the most romantic & beautiful wedding I could give my daughter! Bill Hansen's catering was beyond delicious, my guests were talking for days about the food; but his staff lead by Eden have customer satisfaction as their #1 top priority. The venue was perfect and over flowing with plenty of places for guests to mingle & dance! And the planning time was painless as the staff handled all the details , no sweat!
