Best Wedding Band Ever!

I can’t recommend Big City Wedding Band more highly.

From the outset, Ken was a pleasure to work with. He was communicative, responsive to all of our requests, and showed an attention to detail that put my wife and I at ease. On the day of the wedding, the band arrived right on time, coordinated seamlessly with the venue, and handled all the logistics so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Most importantly, the band absolutely crushed the performance! The energy they brought to the room was infectious - the dance floor was packed all night and nobody wanted the party to end. Guests were raving about the band during the reception and continued sending us compliments for days afterward.

We feel so lucky that we ended up with Big City as our wedding band and are very grateful to them for creating such a fun evening for everyone.

Of the thousand little decisions you have to make planning a wedding, this one is a no brainer - go with Big City!

Highly recommend!

The Big City Wedding Band made our day so special from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, and finally the reception. We received rave reviews from friends and family about the music. We were so happy to see everyone up on the dance floor all night! Ken was great to work with from start to finish. We would absolutely hire them again in a second!

The Best Wedding Band!

Big City Wedding Band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were blown away by their performance and they truly made our reception the party of a lifetime. From our first meeting with Ken, we knew we were in good hands. Ken was very easy to work with and clearly cared about every detail. On the day of the wedding, the entire band was professional, respectful, and just downright fun to party with. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious and they had all our guests on the dance floor all night.

We can’t say enough good things about Big City Wedding band. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a passionate group of talented musicians to make their wedding reception one for the ages!

Fantastic Wedding Band

Big City exceeded all of our expectations! All of the guests across all ages loved them, they had everyone on the dance floor the whole night. Several months after our wedding our family and friends still tell us how awesome the band was. Ken was very professional and awesome to work with. He spoke with us several times before our wedding to ensure we all were on the same page for how we wanted the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception to flow. He was very thorough and detailed in the planning which made for a stress free wedding day, there were no unforeseen surprises that we did not agree to. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Incredible

Big City Band was truly phenomenal! We first discovered them when they played for my sister-in-law's wedding and they were the first group we called to book when when my husband and I got engaged. Not only are they all incredibly talented, they kept the energy so high and read our crowd perfectly - the dance floor was packed the entire night! We couldn't have asked for a better group. Ken was also an awesome manager - he's super kind and communicative and helped us think through our reception schedule, from our announcement to our first dances to our last dance. I only wish the night was longer!

Made our wedding!

From start to finish Big City delivered. Calls and availability leading into our wedding. Flexibility with adjustments. Setup was incredibly professional and on-time. They had fun with our crowd, kept everybody grooving all night - and were happy to perform an hour of OT with 5 minutes notice as our wedding got a late start. The sound of Big City live is way better than on you tube. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing wedding band!

Big City Band made our wedding day special and so memorable! My fiancé and I were focused on throwing the best party we could so having a great dance floor was one of our top priorities over anything else as that is what guests remember! We chose Big City Band after my younger sister had them at her wedding 2 years ago and we loved everything about them. From the minute the dance floor was opened, guests were dancing and having the time of their lives. We received so many compliments after the wedding at how awesome they were from all guests alike as they play such a great variety of hits for all ages. The dance floor was packed from start to finish…just ask my 7 year old flower girl, she couldn’t get enough of the music. If you want your guests to have the best wedding experience, you NEED to hire Big City Band. They listened to every request I had for certain songs (I’m a Tom Petty nut) and played a great lineup of softer music through dinner, barely having time to eat or take breaks because they were rocking the house ALL night. It just shows how diligent and professional they are! We had countless guests continue to tell us they were the best wedding band they had ever seen and their lead singer could be on tour she is that talented. Ken is absolutely amazing to work with as he’s very detailed, communicative and makes you feel so comfortable both in the days leading up to the wedding and on the day of. Please do yourself a favor and hire Big City Band! I wish I wasn’t the last sibling to get married so we could hire them for all of our future family weddings!

Best wedding band!

Big City Band was a huge part in making our wedding day exactly what we hoped for! A dance floor that got everyone moving and having fun was a top priority for my husband and I. They did an AMAZING job and are so talented. We received countless compliments on our band and how great they were. Hiring Big City Band was one of our best planning decisions and we cannot thank them enough for rocking our reception! Also, huge shoutout to Ken who handles the client interaction and coordination for the band - he is friendly and communicative and overall awesome to work with!

Just keep getting better

Nine years ago Big City Band played for our daughter’s wedding. It was a brutally warm night and we were in a tent. This band had everyone up, dancing, sweating and laughing. We were thrilled. Two weeks ago our second daughter got married and when we saw Big City was still playing we immediately contacted them. Covid meant three changes of date, and every time they were quick to communicate and put our minds at ease. Finally, the wedding celebration arrived and they had only gotten better! The dance floor was packed! They catered to our quirky requests -Centerfield for the father-daughter dance, and of course a “Dead” song for Dad. The couples first dance will be remembered by all. I can’t tell you how many people commented on how great the band was. If you’re like us and a packed dance floor equals a great wedding, Big City will not let you down.

Outstanding band! Great to work with!

We got married in November and Big City Band was the best choice we made for our special day! Their professionalism was wonderful and really helped ease our nerves about what we considered to be the most important part of our night...the fun! Ken was so responsive to all our questions and emails. His check in right before the wedding was so helpful and really helped us get a feel for what kind of dance floor it was going to be. Their playlist was perfect and the dance floor was packed all night long. They even let my father-in-law play the drums for one of their songs....a memory we will treasure forever. We cannot recommend BCB enough!

The Highlight of Our Wedding

My husband and I spent months looking for a band. However, as our wedding was a bit of a destination for us we were unable to view any bands in person and went solely off of videos. We chose the Big City Wedding Band and it was the best decision we could have made. Ken was wonderful to work with and helped ease our anxieties leading up to the wedding. When it came to songs we wanted played we gave him the general guidance that we wanted it to be a party but left the playlist entirely in his hands. They did not disappoint in the slightest and were the highlight of our wedding. From the cocktail hour through the reception they kept the party going, catered to the different crowds attending and rolled with the handful of surprises our families threw at them. All of our guests loved the band and had a great time. I can't recommend The Big City Wedding Band enough!

Danced all night!!

We got married in September and I can’t describe how great the Big City Band was. One of our top priorities for the wedding reception was the music. They were recommended to us through another musician, who described them as his favorite band. From the beginning, Ken and I clicked. He was very easy to work with. Their song selection covers every genre imaginable. The ceremony, cocktail, and dinner music were all great. Once the party started, the energy level went up to the stratosphere. The band took the pulse of the crowd and responded perfectly. The dance floor was full the entire night. When it was all over, there were about 100 people drenched in sweat with huge smiles on their faces, some with barely enough energy to walk. People are still talking about it. "The best band I have ever heard" "they were unbelieveable" are common remarks. Awesome band!!!!

The wedding band our guests won't stop talking about!

My wife and I were married in July 2019. Leading up to the big day, we knew we wanted independent, live entertainment with excellent sound quality that would keep our guests on the dance floor all night. We found all of that and more in "Big City". From their online content I could tell that they played extremely well together and would have a lot of fun doing it. Ken manages the band with great emphasis to detail to make sure that they are not only providing excellent entertainment value, but also to ensure that the event will flow seamlessly. From the start, Ken made sure we were comfortable and well-informed about their process. When the big day finally arrived, our guests, my wife, and I were beyond thrilled--Big City delivered in a big way. We elected for a piano/violin combination for the ceremony. Absolutely beautiful. And for dinner/dancing, they brought new life to all of the hits and were energetic and interactive throughout the night. Some of our absolute favorite memories of the night all had a soundtrack and we feel lucky to have had Big City for it all!

The band of all bands.

Throughout our planning process we interviewed and looked into countless bands. Music was to be a big focus of our wedding reception and we wanted the band chosen to be able to handle the crowd. BCB did not disappoint. We hired them for our wedding early-on in the planning process for our October 2018 wedding and they helped us every step of the way from coordination to song choices.

With a diverse guest-list we wanted the band to be able to cater to everyone and make sure the energy was high and the dance floor filled - this was succeeded for sure. Definitely a must hire for any event that you wish to have live music at!

Big City Wedding Band was amazing in every possible way!

Leading up to our wedding, Ken, the band director, was super easy to work with, and very accommodating. We met with him a couple of times in person to go through our ideas, and he was very flexible, and offered some valuable observations from prior weddings along the way.

The wedding itself was a full on party, just as we had planned! All of our guests, from age 10 to 95 (yes, 95), were up and dancing the entire night. Everyone commented on not only how great the band sounded, but on the wide variety of songs played as well.

We we so lucky to have Big City Wedding Band perform at our wedding, and would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking to have upbeat, fun, easy going, awesome band perform at theirs!

Ken was a great organizer that pulled the timing of the reception together perfectly. The band catered to our needs and filled the dance floor all night! They were super accommodating to have some family members join the band for a song or two. I highly recommend them!

When my daughter became engaged, I contacted a friend whose son had just gotten married. My friend told me "if nothing else, you HAVE to get the Big City Wedding Band for your daughter's wedding, they are amazing." That was enough for me, and I contacted Ken right away. From the initial planning to the conclusion of my daughter's wedding night, Ken was awesome to work with. He is professional, thorough, very pleasant, and informative. To top off those qualities, Ken has a great sense of humor which I really appreciated! My daughter's wedding day arrived and Ken and his accompanist played beautiful music for the outdoor ceremony. At the reception, the sound system was great, the vocalists and musicians were amazing, and the band played music that appealed to guests of all ages. The dance floor remained packed for the entire evening and many of our guests came to me to tell me that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. We were sorry when the evening ended and I can't wait for my other daughter to get engaged so that we can have the Big City Band back; we highly recommend them! Thank you Ken, and the rest of your band members for being so incredible; you made our special day all the more special.

Brian and I are still trying to find the right words to think this band for what was a fairytale wedding for us. From the moment I first talked to Ken on the phone I knew he was the vendor I wanted to work with. He made everything so easy to plan and the Skype call before was so nice to be able to walk through all the details in (virtual) person. The amount of compliments we received about the band from Saturday night is incredible. They kept the party going—even during the band breaks!! The entire band was so fun and friendly (even when I was able to sneak up on stage a couple times!) I think above all- learning all of our first dance songs really hit home. That was such a special moment for us and we are so grateful to have had that opportunity

My husband and I were thrilled with the music at our wedding. Both of us had some health challenges that hindered our wedding planning but not to worry - Ken was kind and patient with us through the entire process. Ken always found time to talk on the phone and discuss our concerns (which were many). He tailored the playlist to our preferences and we received many comments on the high quality of the music, including one from my husband's college-age niece! Our guests, from the youngest to the oldest, had a great time on the dance floor, thanks to Ken and Big City Band. We highly recommend these very talented musicians.

Absolutely amazing band! Couldn’t have been happier with their performance at our cocktail hour and our reception! They perfectly paired songs with the events of the evening (first dance, cake cutting, toasts, etc) and we had so many compliments throughout the night on how great they were, and they got the crowd dancing almost immediately! LOOK NO FURTHER - HIRE Big City Wedding Band!!! I was a bit nervous hiring a band who I had never heard live, nor was a direct recommendation from a friend, but I am SO glad I did. I fell in love with Big City's playlist and samples online - music is important to me and my family (many musicians and vocalists) and I wanted way more variety than just today's top hits at my wedding. Big City absolutely nailed it! They kept outdoing themselves song over song from Sinatra, to Springsteen, to ZBB, the Beatles, and Motown. These guys are incredibly talented and very professional! We received tons of compliments on the band and I have happily recommended them to anyone looking to hire a band for an event. Ken is great to work with and he definitely made my vision come to life! Hire these guys, you won't regret it!

Everyone wants their wedding reception to be memorable. So many things need to come together smoothly in order for that to happen and music is key to a successful outcome. Your band’s participation was exceptional and indeed contributed mightily to making the day memorable. As good as the videos are on your website, you guys are that much better in person and you seamlessly became part of the wedding party. The only down note is that It went by way too fast. I recently used these guys at my wedding. If your looking for a great wedding band these are your guys. They entertained all my guests and we could not get people OFF The dance floor all night. They played most of the songs I picled and liked and I am a sucker for live music so my feet were on the dance floor the entire night!!! Great band. Great Music choices. Great people to work with and make you feel special.

We could not have had a better experience with Big City. From the very beginning, Ken was enthusiastic, professional and responsive. They also really worked with me on making our wedding feel personal. They learned our first dance song, and even backed up a family friend who sang a few songs for us! When I look back at our wedding photos, I see everyone on the dance floor and having a blast. That really speaks louder than words. Thank you so much again you guys!

We cannot say enough about Big City Band! We hired them for our wedding in September 2017 and they completely blew us away! They had the dance floor packed the entire night. The energy and excitement from the band was contagious and the music was exactly what people wanted to hear. We asked them to play to the crowd, rather than providing them a playlist, and they nailed it. They played a great range of songs that kept the crowd going. Guests of all ages were raving about them the entire night and the next morning. The singers both had amazing voices and energy and let us not only join them on stage, but jump on the mic for a couple songs.

The cherry on top is their coordinator/guitarist, Ken. From the beginning we knew he was going to be amazing to work with. Through the whole planning process he was extremely responsive, professional and provided great advice in terms of timeline and other helpful tips for making our wedding just what we wanted - a giant dance party.

These guys are true professionals. You will not regret hiring them for your big day!

Our experience with the Big City Wedding Band could not have been better! They performed at my daughters wedding and were not only extremely talented they helped facilitate the flow of the reception. All our guests were thrilled to have a "live" band and we were told time and again how great they were! I highly recommend Ken and his band mates for any and all functions!!

I cannot recommend Big City highly enough. The band was one of the things we cared the most about in our wedding planning - we wanted everyone out on the dance floor for the reception, and wanted a great variety of songs - and we were not disappointed. Ken was awesome to work with in planning and helping us think through the flow of the night - and they were great about accommodating all of our music requests!

I might be slightly biased, but I think we had the most fun wedding I've ever been to! The band was awesome and had everyone out on the dance floor - young cousins, college friends, parent's friends, and grandparents - all night long. I would book them again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I hired Big City Wedding Band for our wedding in September of 2016 and they were nothing short of AMAZING! Prior to finding them online we attended multiple viewings of wedding bands, leaving each appointment and showcase very disappointed, especially because having a band was on our 'must have' list. We eventually googled wedding bands in the Boston area and to our surprise came across Big City Wedding Band's website about a year before our wedding. Ken, the primary contact, was in touch with us in no time after we reached out to them. He was very prompt, answered all of our questions, and made the process easy. Fast forward to the day of our wedding... We had the most perfect reception, mostly because of this amazing band. From cocktail hour (saxophone and piano) to the reception (9 pieces), the music was perfect. The band was loud, electric, energetic, and they had the guests on their feet the entire night. They played a variety of music, both old and new, and songs that we chose off of their song list. Our friends and family can't stop talking about how amazing they were...so much so that they learned a song on the spot for us during dinner and performed it shortly after, we were so impressed!! We are so happy that we chose them to be a part of our wedding day and if you're smart you'll choose them for your big event! We can't thank them enough!

If you would like a band that engages your guests, is extremely accommodating, and let's your crazy great uncle sing on stage- Big City Wedding Band is the place for you! We had Big City Wedding Band play at a Christmas Gala in the Seaport. The band was absolutely fabulous. They all had so much energy and got every person up dancing on the floor. They were so talented and entertained a room full of people of all different ages. Every single person loved them and had so much fun singing and dancing along. Not only was the band great- however they were wonderful and so easy to work with. I didn't have a single complaint or issue about them and will definitely use them again for any occasion. I highly recommend them!

Big City Wedding Band was the hit of our wedding! For weeks and weeks we were hearing (and are still hearing) from people simply raving about the band. Beyond the quality of the vocalists (which was off the charts), Ken was a delight to work with. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and incredibly flexible. He was able to provide his suggestions and opinions while respecting our choices of what we wanted.

You cannot beat the value either. The a la carte approach of being able to was great. We went with a 6 piece band (with drums, 2 guitars, bass, male & female vocalists) which was perfect. They also offer a horns section, if so inclined, but it was great to be able to pick and choose what we wanted from that sense...and their pricing beat other very highly rated bands time after time by several thousands of dollars.

We planned our wedding in 6 months, and I cannot believe we were lucky enough to have Big City available. I will recommend them to everyone who will listen in the future! Amazing talent and a pleasure to work with!!

I would highly recommend this band/ The band leader knows what he is doing and the musicians were first rate. Worth every penny. We are a gay couple. The were very friendly and worked with it to tailor the wedding to our circumstances.

Big City was amazing!! Ken was very easy to work with and easily accessible during the planning stages. The music for the reception was very important to us and we wanted all our guests to enjoy the party- and that is exactly what Big City delivered! EVERYONE was on the dance floor the ENTIRE night! The band even worked with me to pull off a few special surprises- an all-girls country line dance, and a surprise mother-daughter dance. These went off perfectly thanks to Ken and Big City. The band was definitely the highlight of the night, and our guest's favorite part of the wedding by far. If you are looking for a talented and fun band, look no further!

AMAZING! There were people on the dance floor all night long because of Big City. They played music for everyone's taste and people could not stop raving about them! Thomas, the lead singer was incredible and the rest of the band was great too. The drummer sang Van Morrison so well that I thought it was a MP3 playing. Absolutely loved working with Ken who listened to all of our crazy requests and helped make the day run so smoothly. I was nervous since I never heard the band live but it was by far one of our best decisions to go with Big City for the big day.

Big City was awesome! They had everyone at our wedding on the dance floor all night. To be honest, I was a little nervous because I had never seen them live and no one had seemed to have heard of them before but I am so glad I booked them. They were great the day of the wedding and were also great to work with beforehand. They really took into account our music preferences, learned a new song for us, helped create and coordinate the timeline and really engaged the crowd. I received many compliments during and after the wedding on how much people loved the band.

Outstanding band! We booked this band over a year in advance of our daughter's wedding and quite frankly we were nervous because we did not hear or see them in person. Ken Shano and his band exceeded our expectations. The bride and groom are in their early twenties and the guests ranged from ages 7 to 81. Everyone thought the band made the event. People danced from he start of dinner until the last song was played. Ken Skyped with the bride and learned the songs she wanted in addition to the Notre Dame Alma Mater as a tribute to our family. I would highly recommend this band.

Big City Wedding Band was such a huge hit at my 15 year old daughter's graduation party! The band had the teens and the parents dancing and singing the whole night long. Plus the band members were sooo nice and easy to work with. Just couldn't have been a bigger success. AMAZING! That's all I can say. Big City had everyone at my wedding up and dancing the whole time. We had previously seen them perform at another friends wedding before hiring them and they were our first call when booking our wedding band. Big City played during our ceremony, cocktail reception and reception. They had suggestions on music for the ceremony music when I had no clue where to begin. Big City engaged the crowd and played music that everyone, young and old knew and enjoyed. All my guests could not stop raving about the band and my dad who is the hardest to please loved them too! This was the second wedding (both daughters) for which we have booked Big City and our expectations were once again exceeded and so were both brides. The dual singers were a big pleasant surprise and the band itself was over the top - rockin' on. All guests felt very well served by the range and quality of music selections and the sound itself. Cocktail hour and dinner music was carefully selected and well executed based on the guidance of the bride. Father/daughter dance music was also spot on thanks to Ken's excellent guidance. It's a good thing the father can dance!

This is the band you want for your wedding!! The Big City Wedding Band exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we started working with Ken and his band it was nothing but the utmost professionalism. About two weeks prior to the wedding we had a Skype meeting with Ken to go over the flow of the reception, music selections, and any special requests. As a result our wedding went off without a hitch, all of the introductions, dances (first, father/daughter, and mother/son), and speeches went perfectly. Now for the most important part, this band is simply amazing! This is a truly professional and talented band that knows how to get everyone on the dance floor and keep them there! My daughter's wedding was held at the Elks at Bass Rocks on 9/21/2013 and Ken Shano's Big City Wedding Band contributed to the perfection of this event! Kate booked this band once the wedding date was chosen, and we found that all the excellent reviews were spot on! They played an excellent selection of songs--and you do get to request your favorites ahead of time from an extensive list--and the dance floor was filled the entire night. All of our guests were delighted with the how wonderful their sound was, and this truly was one of the best parts of the wedding. Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed by Ken and he was extremely professional. He is warm, reliable, and responsive to anything we requested. We paid for a six-member band and they were all very talented musicians--we could not have asked for more from the Big City Wedding Band! You will not be disappointed!!

Big City Band was recommended by numerous people from different weddings and everyone had the same thing to say: If you don't book Big City Band, you are making a big mistake. My wife and I can't say enough good things about Ken and Big City Wedding Band. The quality of music, organization and responsiveness made for great value and great memories. Ken went above and beyond in accommodating our requests, even when that meant working longer hours than a typical wedding. The band’s overall talent and enthusiasm really kept the party going and their ability to switch genres of music quickly was amazing. We were also very impressed with the bands formal attire and that everyone got their early. They communicated with our venue very well and at the end of the night every guest said they loved the music and bands energy. Book this band immediately! Ken, Rosemary, and the band were wonderful! Ken was very patient and flexible with the plan on what to play so that both my dad's crowd, my mom's crowd, family and my friends all danced. Big City made our wedding fun for all ages, even Grandma got up and danced to George Clinton's Dinosaur song!! Ken was extremely flexible for us and was able to make anything and everything happen. Big City Band stole the show at our wedding! Working with Ken was a pleasure from the beginning. He was timely, had great ideas and suggestions and was very accommodating. I've got only two words to wrap up the phenomenal reception that we had. BIG CITY!! The music at our wedding was off the charts. We were receiving positive feedback all night long about the band! They knocked people's socks off with their music. We could not believe how great it sounded. The selections were exactly what we wanted. We were looking for classy jazz during dinner with a few Christmas songs and some dance music as the night progressed. We could not have chosen a better mix. The crowd was up all night and didn't want the music to end. People felt like they were at a live concert. Great job to Ken and his band. We don't know what to say as we are still in amazement! We are still on a high from our son's wedding this past Sunday and the Big City Wedding Band has much to do with the lingering feelings. Our family and friends are still talking about the band!

Not only have I attended many celebrations and heard many wedding bands, but I have also worked with one of the best NY metro area band organizations for years. In my opinion, your band is up there
with the BEST!

Living in the NY area with the wedding taking place in the Boston area, was not the easiest task for finding vendors and making arrangements, but you helped make the process go smoothly. After finding your band on the internet, doing research, listening to Big City's CD, speaking to references and, most importantly, after speaking with YOU, we knew that your band was the one for our simcha.

We were looking for a band that would provide the kind of Jewish wedding that we envisioned, and during the proceeding months, you listened to our vision, to our concerns and offered your expertise to planning and scheduling the upcoming evening. While we may have been a little concerned that the band's repertoire of "Jewish music" seemed limited, your Hava Nagila was energetic and joyous! And you beautifully performed "Jerusalem of Gold' which, as you know, has personal significance for my family.

The songs requested for the "First Dance" and the Parents' dances were not easy pieces but your band performed them with so much feeling and flawlessly. Of course, the entire evening was filled with beautiful music throughout. Each and every selection played was outstanding, and you had everyone up and dancing till the very end!

If someone were to ask if I would have done anything differently in terms of songs played, the way the reception was run, etc., my answer would be a resounding NO!

What can we say, these guys ROCKED the place!!!! From learning our first dance to all of the requests that we had for you guys, you really exceeded our expectations in every way possible. I was a little hesitant about having a live band at first, as we wanted to have a lot of dance music, but they played several current dance songs in addition to all the great older ones. And anything they couldnt/didnt want to play (like MMMMBop for my wife who is a huge Hanson Geek) they had on a playlist during their break. Overall, I would book them again and pay much for the service they provided!! Great job guys, I hope to see you at another wedding someday!!!!

Big City's Performance at our wedding was truly outstanding. The band played a flawless list of music and were very receptive to the guests of our wedding. All the band members were very bright and enthusiastic which seemed to set the tone for a very high energy fun filled event! We couldn't be happier with our "Big City" experience!

Big City band was the absolute best, best decision we made regarding vendors at our wedding. Their repertoire is enormous - they can (authentically and convincingly) play from all genres, from your classic big band tunes, to blues, pop, and rock. I made some specific requests for songs we would love to hear during the reception and not only did they play them, they ROCKED them. The musicians are all warm, friendly people who went out of their way to make sure our day was perfect. The attention to detail, professionalism, skill and musicianship are all top notch. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how great the music was and how it made the party. We had to shut down the dance floor after the last dance - everyone was still going strong thanks to the awesome music!!!! We couldn't be more grateful to Ken and the band for making our day so special.

These guys are AMAZING! They listened to our song choices and played everything we asked! I cannot explain how awesome they sounded as well as their willingness to accommodate unusual requests.

We just had our wedding two days ago at The Estate at Moraine Farm in Beverly, and I had to jump on here and write their review before we leave for our honeymoon tomorrow morning! My wife & I had never heard them play live prior to our wedding, so of course we were praying theyd be good. Well, they werent good, they were FANTASTIC!!! All of our family & friends haven't stopped talking to us about what a fun wedding we had -many thanks to the amazing band! We chose the 6 piece option and we couldn't be happier with their performance! From our initial meeting, to our final Skype meeting, all the way to the night of the wedding Big City was beyond professional, and extremely flexible with our song requests - they even learned our first dance song for us, and sang it beautifully! There wasn't a dry eye in the house when we danced to it! Big City is a band I fully intend to tell every engaged friend of mine to book! They had our guests dancing ALL night long!!!

Big City Wedding Band was THE best choice we made in our wedding planning. Their talent is unsurpassed, and their sound was enjoyed by all of our guests. We have heard so many compliments on their behalf from our family and friends. We hope to refer them to friends so that we can hear them play again at more weddings! Their sound quality, vocals, and performance were perfect. They were also easy to correspond with during the whole planning process, and adapted to our musical preferences, while at the same time added their own flair to make a perfect playlist for the crowd they were entertaining. We also greatly appreciated their willingness to learn songs that weren't already in their extremely large and diverse playlist (and not only learn the song but nail it in the performance!). They are sure to please at every event! Thank you for helping to make our wedding so memorable!

Now that we are back from our honeymoon and finally got back into the swing of “normal life,” we’ve had a chance to reflect on our wedding. Everyone including ourselves had such an amazing time, and having the Big City Band perform was undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights. The performances were absolutely spectacular! The quality and talent of these musicians is second to none. During the reception, if the guests were not busy eating, then they were on the dance floor. The group did an outstanding job of feeling out the crowd, knew exactly what everybody was wanting, and delivered! As we have been talking with some of our guests after getting back from our honeymoon, every single one of them commented on how amazing the band was. We are so happy we were able to have the Big City Band perform at our wedding, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

This band exceeded all of our expectations- and those expectations were pretty high to begin with. From dealing with my last-minute changes, to adding in some Spanish for my non-English speaking in-laws, to reading the room like experts and adjusting accordingly, to leading a fantastic pseudo-karaoke dance party that was perfect for my family, they delivered and then some. I would strongly recommend this band for wedding receptions. They are VERY good at what they do.

Big City was simply amazing. Working with Ken in helping put together our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Big city made sure everything went according to plan. They had set a plan of action and worked with it throughout the whole day. The music at the ceremony went perfectly. We had some last minute switch-ups during the bridal party entrance and they handled it seamlessly. They took the time to learn how to pronounce everyone's name. And finally the Music during dinner and dancing was fabulous. Live entertainment gives the party just a little extra juice ... people were on the dance floor from start to finish. Our guests had so much fun that at the end of the last dance they chanted "One More Song" Big City Obliged and gave us an encore with "Shout" .
Big City is a fantastic band, M.C., and entertainment. They know what they're doing and do it well.

Big City Band was an excellent choice for our wedding. From the planning stages to the event itself, we were given a lot of personalized attention that helped to make the day so special. They played a great range of songs from the classics to current hits and really kept the energy going throughout our reception. Our guests kept commenting on how great the band sounded and how it really made a difference in how fun our reception was.

The Big City Party Band was recommended to us for my daughter's wedding by another band who was already booked for that date and I'm glad they were. I felt confident from my first contact with Ken that they were the band for us. My daughter and her fiance contacted Ken a couple of times prior to the wedding to go over the music they wanted and it couldn't have been better. The dance floor was full most of the night and I had so many compliments from our guests.

It was a pleasure doing business with Ken Shano and the Big City Band. Ken was easy to contact and quick to respond to our concerns and questions via email and phone. A few months before the wedding he skyped with our daughter and her future husband in order to get to know them a little and to go over the specifics for the big day. Big City is truly "committed to making each event the unique celebration it's meant to be!" The music at the wedding reception was exceptional. The musicians and the vocals were outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you Ken and Big City!

Big City Band played at my wedding reception on New Year's Eve. They did a fabulous job and kept our guests on the dance floor all night! They honored our dance requests and were flexible with last-minute changes to the flow of events that we had arranged ahead of time. I would absolutely recommend them to others. They are a GREAT value!!

Big City was an awesome band to do business with. The bride had several specific requests that did not follow the traditional events that commonly occur at weddings. The band honored her requests. Our guests were always on the dance floor and we received many, many compliments about the music. They helped us ring in the new year in style. We even had a birthday on 1/1/12 and the band played Happy Birthday for the sister of the groom. Lastly, since we have musicians in our family, the band graciously cleared the way for the brother and father of the bride to sing a couple of their songs. I would highly recommend them!

When Mark and I were planning our wedding, our main goal was for people to dance and have fun, and we definitely chose the right band to get it done. The band was so good that people got up and started dancing to the music while the first course of dinner was being served, and the dance floor was full from the minute dinner ended until it was time to go… and that’s with extending the band an extra hour and a half! Our guests came up to us all night long to tell us how great the band was, and how much fun they were having. We were afraid to go out to get some air, because every song was too good to miss. Our wedding surpassed our wildest dreams. While we were on our honeymoon, we heard that people couldn’t stop talking about our wedding. One of our guests was back at the venue the following week, and the staff was talking to them about how much fun it was.

We were a little nervous about not having seen the band play live beforehand… but they were so great, and they can play such a wide range of musical styles. We were blown away by the band’s rendition of Miles Davis’ All Blues, during dinner. We almost felt like we didn’t have a band because it sounded more like we had each of the original artists at our wedding, playing their songs. They were that good.

It was great working with Ken to plan everything because he had so many great suggestions, like how to get everyone up dancing from the get-go. It was also really convenient that we were able to do almost all of our communicating over the phone and email, and only had to meet in person once.

We’re so grateful to the Band and Ken for making our wedding such an amazing experience!!

I really cannot say enough good things about this band! We spoke to Ken many times before the wedding, and he really made sure to take the time to get to know us, as well as the type of wedding reception we wanted, to ensure a great time for our guests. The band's play list is phenomenal, we were so delighted with how many great songs we had to choose from! I can honestly say that the majority of our guests were on the dance floor the whole night...there was no awkward period of just a few people out there at first trying to get others to join in. From the very first song, the dance floor was packed! We received endless compliments on the bands behalf, and still do 2 years later. We were so pleased with Big City Party Band that we are hiring them again for a 50th birthday party! We want the party to be a success, and there was no doubt in our minds who to hire for music for that to be possible! I would recommend this band to anyone with no hesitation! We could not have been any more pleased!

We feel so fortunate that we chose Big City Band to play at our wedding! They sounded so amazing--everyone wanted to dance. Many friends told us that they were the best wedding band they'd ever heard. Ken Shano, their manager and also a member, worked closely with us to plan the perfect reception start-to-finish. Each member was very talented, responsive and clearly happy to there. They customized their performance to meet our needs and made really gerat suggestions. We wholeheartedly recommend Big City Band to others!

The Big City Party Band performed at my daughter's wedding this past weekend and they were fabulous!!! Everyone danced the whole night away. So many guests commented on what a great band they were.
They also provided the music for the wedding ceremony and during the cocktail hour which was also great. Would definitely recommend them for your wedding.

We had Big City perform at our wedding in July 2017 at Castle Hill and they truly made our wedding a night to remember! From the very beginning, we were confident that Ken would be great to work with. Not only did Ken help us to select music but he had great advice on how to make the wedding flow smoothly. Big City's performance was top notch and to this day everyone's first comment is on how great the band was at our wedding. We cannot thank Ken and Big City enough!

WOW is all I can say!!! The Big City Band was absolutely amazing. Words don't do it justice. This band was recommended to us by another band who was already booked for our date, and what a blessing in disguise. We were worried because we never heard them live, but they sent us a complementary CD and skyped with us to answer our questions. On the big day, they fully surpassed any expectations! They kept the party going all night, played a perfect mix of music, and played everything that we had on our must have list (and nothing from the don't play list!). They are super organized and have a very good system for coordinating the whole event. (we made a couple small changes to their typical routine and they were flexible and worked with us to customize our day). We absolutely loved them and can't recommend enough!!

We had a great time at our wedding, as did our guests. Big City Band was able to learn two songs for us at the last minute and did a great job learning them. We wanted our guests, of mixed ages, to be up and dancing the whole night, and they were thanks to the quality of the music and the variety of genres they were able to play.

Big City was amazing! They had the entire party dancing all night, including the groom (who has never been much of a dancer). They learned songs for our father/daughter and first dances, and they played all of the fun hits that no one can resist moving to. We got married at a yacht club where weddings happen every year, and we were told by the bartender and event coordinator that Big City was the best band they had ever had there, with the most people dancing they had ever seen. I would recommend Big City to anyone.

Hire them!

We knew we wanted to use Big City Wedding Band after their incredible performance at my brother’s wedding in 2022. We were thrilled to learn they were available on our date when we reached out and did not hesitate to book. Ken was easy to work with, replying promptly and providing flexibility (we decided to add more pieces as our date got closer). On the day of, setup was seamless and their coordination with our venue was professional. They played beautiful background music during dinner and when dancing started they were able to read the room and adjust as needed for our crowd, who remained on the floor the whole night! 3 months after our wedding our guests still rave about the music and band’s ability to engage the crowd. We cannot recommend them enough!

Hire Big City Band!

Ken and Big City were AMAZING! We hired this band for their high energy and talent, and they surpassed our expectations. So professional, genuine, fun, and really made the night a total blast. The song choices and day-of timeline is done on Microsoft word so be prepared for that. Ken is a true expert - listen to his recommendations! He knows his stuff… and do Don’t Stop Believin for the last song like he says, you won’t regret it ;) The MC of the night, Jamie Hart, was the coolest - and all the musicians and vocalists knocked it out of the park. They are true professionals. Multiple guests asked us about the band and how to hire them in the future! They really knocked it out of the park.

Absolutely Incredible!!!

When we came across Big City, they stood out from the pack as one of very few bands that shared live videos of their performance, rather than audio tuned studio sessions. We agonized over the decision because we knew the band is a huge part of the night – they MC, play dinner music, and help the whole day run smoothly (in addition to running the party). When we had our finals call with Ken, we were a little nervous because we had different ideas regarding how our timeline would run, and Ken was really pushing for us to include some traditions that, as introverts, we were planning to forgo. We eventually went with Ken’s advice with a bit of trepidation. Listen, KEN WAS RIGHT and BIG CITY WAS INCREDIBLE!!! When they started playing just the dinner music, they literally turned heads. We had a dance floor that was a little too big for our guest count, but they had so many people dancing that they still spilled into the grass. The MC’ing was smooth and professional, and they songs they selected were perfect for us. Plus, all the suggestions Ken made totally improved the way the night ran (and on top of everything we got treated to a surprise Michael Jackson dance by one of the singers during Billie Jean). They were so good my father-in-law is now on a campaign to convince his other son to ditch his DJ and book them instead for his upcoming wedding. Big City made our wedding so amazing and so special – we are still raving about how perfect they were. Hire them now, you’d be lucky to have them!
