I had the pleasure of working with Juliana as our wedding coordinator, and I cannot praise her enough for the exceptional job she did on our special day. Juliana went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our wedding was executed flawlessly, and her dedication and attention to detail were truly remarkable.
From the moment we began working together, Juliana displayed a genuine passion for her work. Day of coordinator
Juliana was our day-of-coordinator for the reception, and she did an amazing job exceeding our expectations. Prior to the wedding, we communicated several times via Zoom, phone, and email to discuss the color scheme, decor ideas, linen choices, and more. She even attended our venue’s food tasting to show us centerpiece options, and we decided to rent additional items from her at a reasonable cost. Her designs were simple yet elegant and helped us save hundreds of dollars on florals. Juliana also joined our final details meeting with the venue coordinator to help plan the layout and table settings.
A couple of days before the wedding, Juliana let us drop off our decorations and late-night snack bar supplies. We only gave her a general idea of how we wanted things arranged, and she executed everything beautifully, adding creative touches that went beyond our expectations. During the cocktail hour, she assisted with our photoshoot after quickly setting up all the tables and decorations. Throughout the reception, she kept us on track and ensured everything ran smoothly. She even made sure we were eating, despite us constantly leaving our sweetheart table to greet guests! At the end of the night, she carefully packed everything for us to take home. We’re so thankful for Juliana’s professionalism and care. She truly made our most important day stress-free and memorable. Highly recommend!

I’m so glad I went with Juliana as my wedding planner. Her pricing was very reasonable compared to many other planners in Southern California. During the wedding planning process, I went through a major career change, moved, and was in the middle of buying another property all while my husband was deployed. Through it all, Juliana kept me on track with everything that needed to be done. Even when I fell behind, she always followed up and made sure tasks were completed. She was never rude, just firm in the best way, which I really appreciated and needed.
Whenever I was in California, she was always willing to meet up to go over questions or details. Since I was planning from out of state, her availability was a huge help, she answered most of my calls right away, and if she missed one, she always called back within 30 minutes.
On my wedding day, I felt like I didn’t have to worry about much. The only real challenge was dealing with the venue, and fitting our late night snack (the in n out truck on the premises) as the venue was being difficult, but Juliana handled almost all communication with them and made sure everything went smoothly.
I couldn’t have asked for a better planner she was organized, reliable, and genuinely cared about making sure our day turned out perfect. -

Juliana from Beyond Events was extremely communicative and professional from the moment we met! She listened to what we wanted, gave advice about what we needed, and it was all put together in a perfect way. She not only took care of the decorative and timeline details, but she also was very patient and kind with our kids for our blended family wedding. Juliana was incredible leading up and day of!
Juliana was incredible to work with. She made herself available via text, video chat, and email in the months leading up to the wedding. Her knowledge was so helpful during the planning process, and she was able to curate the day based on our preferences. On the day of, she left absolutely no work to do. Even with small details that I had forgot to mention like decor, Juliana was able to make use of everything we had. She even took the liberty of creating a video/reel of the wedding which she made available to us the day after. She is an amazing person to work with and we were so grateful to have her help on our special day! -

I wanted to leave a review for Juliana and her company in Beyond the Event. I am not a big person on leaving reviews, but considering that my husband and I just got married, it only felt right, because we had the most amazing vendors.
We hired Juliana in 2022 about mid year but our wedding wasn't planned until November 2023. We hired her for month of day of , and even though it was over a year away, Juliana was the kindest; in that she still took calls and helped guide me throughout the year , which she didn't have to, because that wasn't a service we hired her for, but her generosity and kindness helped me and my now husband so much in planning our wedding
She was very transparent with us, always communicated either through phone or email. She gave me so much advice and then the closer it started to get toward our wedding was even more helpful. We met her during the first walk through and Even our families loved her. She had told us at the beginning of 2023 that she wouldn't be able to physically attend our wedding because her sister was getting married the same day, but she did have two staff members, Jessi and Melissa, in which were going to be there at the day of.
My husband and I had no problems with that considering she had helped us already through the entire way and we are huge on supporting small businesses. She helped assist the day of, and even though it was her sisters wedding, she still managed to FaceTime and communicate during the wedding with her staff to make sure that everything was running smoothly. She even contacted my mom and she also messaged me the day of congratulating us Which I felt was the sweetest thing she could have done.
Coming up to the day of our wedding her staff, Jessi and Melissa coordinated everything so beautifully. They actually helped assist with our decor, movers and I and my husband's vision of our wedding and the way we expected it to look, absolutely came to life, they were on time with everything. The decorations were exactly how I showed them the placement of everything the guests even complemented, Jessie and Melissa , and how much fun they were and how sweet they were. I had a friend who wasn't so comfortable sitting on this one chair. She felt like she was going to possibly break the chair. She went to Jessi to see if there was anyway that she could switch chairs. Jessi made it happen and made her feel so comfortable that she could assist her. It was honestly really great to have a company that not only was there to help my husband and I but also tended to our guests.
I just want to say a huge thank you to Beyond the Events owner and staff for making our important day one we will never forget. -

We were so grateful to have Juliana as our month/day of wedding coordinator! When we had our meeting to talk over the wedding she thought of several details we hadn’t and helped us get organized for our big day. She gave us great vendor suggestions and helped us make a great team. Leading up to the wedding she was communicative and well organized. I was so relieved by the tasks she took off my plate. I was able to sit back and enjoy the wedding with out having to worry. We had an issue with the shuttle that we booked but she let us know about it right away and handled it professionally. After the wedding she made a beautiful reel posted to Instagram of photos/video we hadn’t seen yet. That meant a lot, and was great to share with our friends and family. She was thoughtful, organized, professional and so easy to work with. We highly recommend Juliana! -

Juliana was great to work with as my Day of Coordinator for my wedding. She was attentive and patient, as we had quite a few children in our wedding party and was so kind and helpful. She answered many of questions I had months leading up to the wedding and put most of my concerns at ease, so I wouldn't have to worry about anything day-of. My advice to future brides/couples, is to include about 20-30 minutes to view & soak in your venue before your guests arrive to admire all the hard work that has gone into planning and to also allow time to correct any small details that might've been missed. Wedding Coordinator of my dreams!
Julianna and her team at Beyond the Event were phenomenal! When we booked our venue I knew I wanted at the very least a day of planner so I could soak in our big day and not stress over the details, Beyond the Event was the recommended vendor for planning and I am so glad they were. Communication, expectation and month of was all seamless! I met with Julianna very early on and we were able to discuss the vision and what I wanted to do. I would say I was a bit of a DIY bride and she helped form and execute on exactly what I imagined. She is certainly an expert in the Industry and everything was perfect. Our rehearsal was quick, efficient and informative. Our wedding day was absolutely perfection! Not a single thing went wrong or was not how we imagined, a giant party with vows and everyone having the time of their lives. Julianna and her assistants kept the flow of the day on time, the dessert tables full, centerpieces gorgeous, the bride having a great time and wrapped things up essentially with a bow on it all. We wish we could redo this day each weekend simply based on how much fun we , the bride and groom, and the entire 150 person guest list had! -

From start to finish, it was a breeze working with Julianna and her team from Beyond the Events. During our initial consultation/zoom meeting, Julianna was very attentive to detail and supportive in helping us make our vision come to life. She provided advice that eased my worries, and was always available for me when I had questions. At our rehearsal, she came with her assistant and they were very on top of things! On the day of the wedding, I was extremely happy with how they set up all our tables and decorations. No wedding is perfect, and there were some minor things that did not go right at ours because of the venue, and her team took care of things immediately without having us distracted from our day. I was referred to Juliana by my venue. Originally I had planned to do everything myself, but with nursing school taking up so much of my time I decided to hire a day-of coordinator. BEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE!! Juliana really exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to make our day hassle free. Everything fell into place so perfectly and I was able to relax and enjoy my day. Only a couple weeks before our wedding, our DJ backed out, I had decided I wanted a photo booth, and we were still looking for center pieces. Juliana saved the day with all 3! Juliana was one thousand percent instrumental in keeping me sane during wedding planning. So happy I had Beyond the Event at my wedding on 8/8/21. You will not regret having Juliana! We planned our wedding in 2 months and no one there would have known. It did not look or feel like a last minute wedding. I am also glad I had her design all my florals because they looked beautiful. Loved my bouquet. Had so many compliments from guests. She also helped me with all the little details I didn’t think about or would have remembered. I am so glad I trusted her vision with decisions from napkins to silverware to plates, decor etc. bc everything looked cohesive. When in doubt just trust her and allow Beyond The Event to do what they do best. Bonus! She was kind and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. She was polite and positive which is needed on your wedding day. She was also punctual and assertive which helped with the other vendors since some of them did not arrive on time. She still managed to get everything set up on time despite those few hiccups. Being a COVID time bride is another level of stressful but Juliana helped take so much stress off my plate. She even brought a content creator. So cool! What else can I say other than I am forever grateful🙏 ❤️ -

Beyond the event did an amazing job. She was very professional and friendly. Juliana replied to my text messages right away and made sure that I had everything that I wanted in my wedding. She also created my centerpieces which were amazing the floral selection we’re just beautiful.

Such an amazing experience with Juliana! I was the maid of honor for my bestie’s wedding and she was the first one who came to mind. I’ve worked in the industry myself, and know that it takes professionalism and an amazing attitude to handle all aspects of a wedding day. And boy oh boy, there are naturally things that won’t go as planned, but with a last minute find of a DJ, and not having the proper linens delivered, Juliana handled it all with so much grace and patience. I originally hired Beyond the Event for my wedding florals and when I met with Juliana, she was extremely receptive to my budget and my vision based purely on Pinterest photos! The biggest highlight of the florals was my last minute decision to include a King Potrea flower as the statement flower in my bouquet. I asked Juliana about including it less than one month away from the wedding and she and the florist made it happen! The King Potrea was my husband's late grandmother's favorite flower and it's been included in every bridal bouquet of her grandchildren's weddings. It was as surprise to my mom-in-law and she burst into tears when she saw it, it was a very special moment and such a great way to honor a loved one who's no longer with us.
After facing the very many challenges of being a 2020 bride, I became overwhelmed around a month before the wedding. I wasn't sleeping, my anxiety was through the roof and then finally I made the best decision I could have ever made by reaching out to Juliana and hiring her on for coordination services in addition to the florals. Not only did she deliver the florals, but she picked up our cake, transported & set up all our decor items at the venue, she coordinated everything for the ceremony and the reception, AND she coordinated the after party that we hosted at a different location.
When it comes to picking a wedding coordinator I think the most important qualities are communication, professionalism, and the ability to remain cool and collected. Juliana exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Despite not being a local bride, we had several Facetime calls, she quickly responded to all my text messages and emails. Juliana was super professional with all my other vendors and seamlessly coordinated with every moving part. The best -- Juliana was calm and helped keep me calm. A few days before the wedding when I was stressing out, she sat me down and asked me --okay what's stressing you out? She listened and talked out everything that was on my mind and I suddenly felt relaxed and super fortunate that I had someone like her to help me. Even when we ran slightly behind schedule due to speeches being loooooonger than expected (kindly suggest time limits to your speech-givers! haha), Juliana was quick on her feet and found immediate solutions to keep us on track - miracle worker!
Lastly, Juliana is an overall kind person. Even my guests mentioned several times how much they loved my coordinator and how great of a job she did. I promise, you won't regret hiring Juliana!

Effortlessly amazing!
Juliana was such an absolute pleasure to work with. She made everything super easy as we had no idea what to expect or do to start this process of getting married. We didn’t want to plan a lot because we didn’t know what we really wanted and Juliana took the wheel asked us a few questions and then took charge. Everything came out beautiful and better than we expected. She was awesome and on top of everything which I don’t think people realize how hard this job actually is. She was able to assert herself with both of our loud and big families which is a job in itself But she did amazing and I would definitely recommend her for any future events as she made this so easy for us. We love her! -

Best Day Ever
Juliana was amazing at our wedding! I had a lot of decorations to put together and there wasn’t much time to do it because they had another event in the ballroom before our wedding. I don’t know what they did in there but the room looked magical and exactly what I envisioned when we got there. We also had few last minute emergencies and Juliana handled it really well. I honestly didn’t have to worry about anything except how not to fall while walking down the aisle. Once we got to the reception Juliana kept bringing me and my husband drinks which we really appreciated because we didn’t have time to go get it ourselves. She made sure we never had an empty glass in our hands! We also had a complicated timeline with a lot of activities but our wedding planner did a great job with following the plan and coordinating everything. In addition to being really professional, Juliana was so much fun! She danced with us at the end of the night and we all had one huge party! It was amazing! After the reception, somehow all of our gifts, cards, and decorations ended up in our hotel room all nicely organized. Honestly, amazing job from the beginning to the wedding! Our day was perfect and Juliana made sure it was! -

Juliana was a true joy to work with! She went above and beyond to make sure the bride and groom had a beautiful and memorable wedding. As a wedding photographer, I can tell you it's so important the coordinator is communicating and making sure the vendors are all on the same page to get the BEST photos for the couple!! Overall, we had a great experience working with Juliana. She was easy to get in touch with from the moment we hired her and leading up to the wedding. She had good communication, and answered all our questions in a clear manner. Throughout the whole experience, she was friendly and professional. Day of, she did a great job keeping everything (and everyone) running on time and moving along. Our wedding went so smoothly! (At least from my perspective; not sure if there were things she dealt with that I wasn't aware of). She also did a good job setting up all our decor according to my specifications, and taking some creative freedom when necessary (which I told her to please do as needed). We got lots of compliments on our decor too! Overall, I would recommend Juliana and Beyond the Event as a solid Day-Of/Month-Of Coordinator. -

Thank you so much to Juliana!! The best Wedding Coordinator ! She is amazing, kind, professional, attentive, on point answering back to emails, calls, changes and concerns. She made the whole process fun and stress free. I can’t get over of how perfect our wedding day was! She also recommended our Florist , our centerpieces and bouquets were beyond beautiful! Juliana was the friendliest and most attentive soul to work with. She understood my vision from the start and she met with me as many times as I had needed to feel comfortable about any wedding stuff. In the day of, she was a beast! My wedding had a few hiccups (people in wrong seats, DJ issues, raining the day of when the ceremony was supposed to be outside) and she dealt with everything quickly and accordingly as well as following the timeline to the T. She also set up everything exactly the way I had wanted and even better. -

Davis Sent on 09/19/2023Beyond the Event was an absolute nightmare
Juliana Holmes of Beyond the Event deliberately misrepresented her availability to us for months and ruined the memories of our wedding. Instead of enjoying our first few months of marriage, we were cornered to take her to court.
In September of 2022, my fiancé (now wife) and I signed a contract with Juliana Holmes to be our wedding day coordinator for February 25, 2023. The contract states that her duty is to provide on-site coordination for 8 hours. Five days before our wedding and after we paid her in full, Juliana notified us in an email thread response that she would not be coordinating our wedding due to a “last minute” military commitment.
When we spoke to our other vendors right afterwards, they said that Juliana had given them advanced prior notice 43 days before of her planned absence.
To fulfil her own contracted responsibilities, Juliana offered to send 2 people we had never met or spoken to, nor had visited the site, or been involved with planning our wedding to take her place. At this point, our trust in her as a person or a professional was completely eroded, and we feared that she would further sabotage or disrupt our wedding. Later, we found out that Juliana was actually coordinating another wedding on that same day & time for 10 hours. We could not see how Juliana could attend a wedding and military course at the same time.
After we parted ways with her, she refused to refund us our money, although she breached her own contract. It should be noted that Juliana also sent us a “silencing” agreement on February 27, 2023 offering our money back with the contingency that we would not write negative reviews about her—in which we refused.
On June 13, 2023, we were forced to face Juliana Holmes in court, in which a judge at the Long Beach Court House ruled in our favor: Juliana had breached her contract by not showing up to our wedding. Note that while presenting to the judge during the hearing, Juliana told the judge & court that she frequently double-books weddings. (Court case number #23LBSC00353 Superior Court of California Los Angeles South District)
In my entire life, I have never met anyone who is as untrustworthy as Juliana Holmes is. I would caution anyone to use her services. She misrepresented her availability to us from the beginning and misled us during months of planning. I wonder how many other couples have gone through this exact situation with her but have never spoken up. If you do decide to use Juliana, my suggestion would be to hold her accountable to everything that is states in the contract and to correspond through email as the records may prove useful later on.
We suffered emotional distress because of Juliana’s actions because it was our one and only wedding day. She ruined the memories of our wedding, honeymoon, and the start of our marriage. My goal is to warn other couples, so they don’t have to go through this!
Lastly, I want to note that during and after this whole ordeal, Juliana has never once apologized. I cannot give negative or ZERO stars on this platform, as one star even feels generous. Beware of Juliana Holmes and Beyond the Event.
I have attached a photo of the immense amount of evidence collected for the trial against Juliana that was presented to the judge.
