We worked with Debbie and her team from Beyond Eventful for our Wedding Weekend. From our Welcome Party at the Hotel Earl to our Sunday breakfast Brunch everything was perfect. I found Debbie to go above and beyond our expectations in every way. She was prompt and professional and always available to answer questions or guide us. Our parents loved her as much as we did and look forward to seeing her again when we are in Petoskey. We hired Beyond Eventful to plan our destination wedding in Petoskey as we live in Boston. Our video meetings were productive and stress relieving as we selected our vendors. Debbie's insights and relationships with vendors brought together the perfect team to make our wedding perfect. She was attentive, funny and very organized. I soon realized we had hired the right person to help us with our dream Wedding. I must say she was worth every dollar and we highly recommend her to anyone wanting the perfect wedding. With about 4 months left before our wedding, I decided that the thought of executing my wedding plans the day of was not something that I wanted to do. I wanted to be able to be (relatively) stress free and enjoy the day as much as I could. So I sought out a reasonably priced DAY OF wedding coordinator. I found Beyond Eventful and Debbie reached out to me immediately after sending an inquiry. What really drew her company to me was the price of her services; I had already planned out majority of the big things for the wedding (locked in all vendors by this point), it was the little details I had left. Her price was within my budget and really the most reasonable I found. But she was worth EVERY PENNY and more because of what she did for us. Because we were not local, we met virtually every month until the last month, in which we met a few times leading up to the wedding, no matter what though if I needed something she was very easily accessible on all forms of communication which gave me great peace of mind. She has been in the business for a long time, and it shows in her professionalism and her many resources both with vendors and with her own inventory of wedding items and tools which were all offered to me. If she had something, she would use it! (ex: battery operated tea lights/candles, photo booth set up, boxwood wall back drop, and various other little tablescape items). Our meetings were always very productive, collaborative, and informative; she really led me in the right direction with everything. She was always honest and so helpful. She helped me mitigate two big situations, adjusting our contract with our bartender, and finding a new florist two months before our wedding. And this is all being done BEFORE the wedding, the things she did the day before and during the wedding day were beyond everything I could've thought of. From figuring out little setbacks (missing ONE place card that I printed), to coordinating the whole ceremony, and being there on the rehearsal day; Debbie and her team were SO professional, very kind, and were there for everything that we needed. And then at the end she took care of handing out our vendor tip envelopes, wrapped up and packed away all of our wedding supplies, and left us with a beautiful and thoughtful gift waiting in our room after everything was done. Above all else, Debbie and her husband Ford felt like family by the end of this whole experience. So if you're looking for a wedding coordinating team in the northern Michigan area (we were in Traverse City, about 1 hr from where she is based) then contact her immediately! We cannot recommend Debbie at Beyond Eventful highly enough! Throughout the planning process, she was always available and made every step feel effortless for us. We initially didn’t expect that we would have a wedding planner but I cannot express how happy I am that we reached out to Debbie in the process. Once we connected with Debbie feeling overwhelmed with about 6 months left until the wedding day (but still many vendors to book and decisions to make), she knew exactly what vendors we should reach out to and was willing to help with every little detail. She had so many great ideas as we were figuring out exactly what we wanted and we are so happy we followed her lead. Debbie is truly happy to do as much as you need (and even made us custom napkins when the ones we planned to use were out of stock). She put together our vison perfectly – the décor we used for the wedding was better than we imagined and saved us so much stress!
On the wedding day, Debbie exceeded our expectations in every way. The decorations were stunning — every detail was thoughtfully arranged and the venue looked amazing. She coordinated the timeline and all the vendors seamlessly, kept everything running smoothly, and ensured we could enjoy our celebration without any stress. She even organized a shared album and took lots of pictures throughout the day so we could look back at all the memories the day after the wedding. We also need to give a shoutout to her husband Ford, who helped her coordinate everything on the wedding day!
Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the wedding was, how much fun everyone had, and what a perfect day it was. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your wedding unforgettable and make the process enjoyable, we cannot recommend Debbie enough! She is a joy to work with and our special day truly would have not been the same without her.

Mackinac Island Wedding Review
Debbie and Ford are beyond amazing! She pulled off a Mackinac island wedding even tho we live in Texas! She went all out for us, she listened to our vision and she created it just like we wanted it to be. She went above and beyond for us, and she is considered family now. For our anniversaries, we are going to pay her a visit because she became family after this whole process. Debbie at Beyond Eventful was so helpful in planning our daughter's wedding! I really don't know how we would have done it without her. She met with my daughter to plan all of the details ahead of time and from the venue, the decor, food and DJ everything was exceptional. While we saw the table settings ahead of time, to see the entire room decorated exceeded our expectations. Exceptional Wedding Planner – Made Our Day Perfect!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner than Debbie from Beyond Eventful. From the very first consultation to the final moments of our wedding, she exceeded every expectation.
Her meticulous attention, expertise, and creativity transformed every detail into perfection. She was always available to answer questions, offer advice, and calm our nerves. Debbie handled every aspect of the planning process seamlessly. We ended up down sizing our wedding and Debbie was very accommodating and helpful with finding the next steps moving forward.
On our wedding day, everything ran like clockwork. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing that Debbie had everything under control.
Debbie was extremely personable, caring, and happy to step in for whatever was needed. She is very respectful of budgets and always would offer up suggestions to make changes when necessary.

e chose Beyond Eventful for our destination wedding in Traverse City after an extensive search for a wedding planner who could seamlessly blend Indian and American traditions. Looking back, we are so grateful we chose Debbie as our planner.
Words can’t fully express how thankful we are for Debbie's guidance throughout the entire planning process. From design to coordination, her expertise and support made everything stress-free and enjoyable. Debbie is incredibly caring, professional, and brimming with creative ideas. She listened to our vision and made sure every detail, from wedding rituals to decor, was exactly as we imagined.

Beyond obsessed!
Consider this a glowing review for Debbie and Mr. Debbie! When our original venue required us to hire a wedding planner, I was so excited to work with Debbie. Even from our first video call, I could tell she truly loves what she does and would be an absolute joy to work with. When disaster struck and our original venue didn’t work out… she was extremely flexible and helpful in finding a new venue. Communication was always spot on and she was always willing to chat even with our busy schedules.
During the weekend of the wedding, I received so many complements from everyone on how efficient and organized she is. It was such a relief having her and her hubby set everything up and not having to worry about anything so we could truly enjoy every moment. Every situation a bride doesn’t want to deal with was taken care of before I even knew about it.
Overall, DO NOT miss out on the opportunity to work with this lovely woman. I am absolutely so thankful for everything they did. If there is any moment in the future I would need a planner, Debbie is my girl! 💕

We absolutely loved working with Debbie! She helped us with our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and farewell brunch. Our wedding experience was certainly improved due to the efforts of Debbie and her team. Firstly, it was helpful (if admittedly somewhat stress inducing) to review our timeline months in advance and get practical tips on what we should be focusing on with the planning. In this process as well, we were pleasantly surprised with how much she offered other than her actual labor, and things we hadn't necessarily thought of (water glasses, chargers, things from her own garden to cover decoration needs, etc.); none of which came with additional charges which was a welcome change from many vendors who have extra charges for everything. True to the general form of midwestern kindness - she also offered to do things like return our rentals (at a town 1 hour away) if it happened to be on her way for something else.
The true value though was the experience of our actual wedding day. As with anything requiring extensive planning and coordination, there were some mistakes and mishaps we realized retrospectively; but very few things were allowed to rise to a level that needed our attention, and nothing drew focus away from our overarching goals for the day (which we established in our many virtual meetings beforehand). I will mention too; that despite our experience, it is likely there was a lot of effort never brought to our awareness to keep everything on track. For this, the best metric I can offer is that many friends/family, reliable for their honesty, commented on the varying details and experiences they appreciated (though credit is shared by the bride's attention to detail and excellent taste!). Worth mentioning a specific anecdote to this point: About 30 mins after the venue was closed, we realized we hadn't eaten much and had minimal food at our hotel- one call and 8 mins later we had a feast of leftover appetizers, and mains brought to our door by a Beyond Eventful staff member.
TL:DR - Well worth the cost for ease of mind, an experienced set of eyes to point out what you haven't thought of yet, keeping vendors/guests in line, and applying some mild redirection to the couple to ensure they remember that they are celebrating something special on a day that otherwise can be insanely stressful.Beyond Eventful's reply:

Debbie is one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. She went above and beyond for my wedding in August and handled my ultra-complicated family dynamics effortlessly.
When I first started planning my wedding I didn’t think I needed a day-of coordinator. I consider myself pretty organized and an experienced planner, having done a lot of event planning for both my work and personal life. My big sister insisted that I was in over my head and eventually talked me into hiring Debbie. She was right.
My husband and I got married at French Valley Vineyard in August 2021 and— to put it frankly— it was far from the easiest wedding to plan and coordinate. Our venue was absolutely incredible and stunning, but it was a blank canvas with very little included. Due to the 2020 wedding restrictions, ours was only the second wedding to take place there under the new management, so we had to work with a venue staff who was figuring things out, just like we were. If that weren’t enough, we had about 18 other different vendors we were working with. Debbie stepped in a couple months before the wedding, just when I thought I would drown in all the vendor emails. She was able to work out contract issues, day-of scheduling, specifying what was included and what we would need to bring, and a thousand other things that needed to be ironed out and clarified before the big day.
On the Friday before our wedding, GJ’s rentals was supposed to deliver and set up our tent at 9AM. Instead, they arrived late that afternoon right before our rehearsal dinner was supposed to start (would definitely NOT recommend using them for rentals). Debbie was on-site first thing in the morning and stayed late into the night, despite the fact that she had a 1.5 hour drive both ways, it was her BIRTHDAY, she had recently broken her leg, AND her best friend had just flown in from out of town to celebrate. She even brought her friend to help and together they spent her whole birthday evening hanging lights and decorating the tent exactly how I had envisioned it. Despite the unfortunate tent setback and chaos of setting up, Debbie always kept a cool head and had the perfect solution to every problem.
Debbie brought a bunch of helpers for the wedding day as well (including her best friend again and her husband). Every single one of them was insanely sweet and did an incredible job. Everything seemed to happen as if by magic, so my husband and I were able to focus on us and enjoy our day to the fullest. A couple days after the wedding Debbie even shared a Google images album with the hundreds of photos and videos she had taken throughout the day and night of the wedding. I honestly don’t know where she found the time. It was amazing to see all the little details and interactions that we were too busy to notice on the day of the wedding.
Debbie is so resourceful, has a great eye for decorating, and her years of experience planning and coordinating weddings really shone. Ours was certainly not an easy wedding to plan and execute, and I mean it when I say I don’t know what we would have done without her. She is the only reason our wedding came together so beautifully. Between all the months of planning and the genuine care she showed towards us, Debbie truly feels like part of the family and I miss talking to her now that the wedding is over! Hopefully she will help plan our kids' weddings someday! ;-)Beyond Eventful's reply:

Day of coordinator that provide so much more!
Debbie and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. During the wedding planning phases, she helped us organize our ideas and visions and bring them to life! Neither one of us are huge planners, so Debbie’s advice and industry contacts really helped us move things forward. Because of her services, we felt totally at ease heading into our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Debbie and her team worked their tails off to make everything go smoothly. She promised that if there was a hiccup, we would never know about it—and boy did she deliver! Debbie handled all of the day-of obstacles, including inclement weather, like a true professional. Debbie and her team truly made our dreams come true and created a day we will never forget. We hired Debbie for our Rehearsal Dinner and our Day of Coordinator. She was amazing. We chose her because she seemed like the best fit for us and our budget. She was very well organized and had an easy charming way of handling people and getting things done. She orchestrated all the vendor schedules the week before. Everything was stress free, beautiful and went so smooth even though it literally rained for 3 days straight. She helped with all the new things we needed and even covered things we suddenly needed. I would recommend her for your Wedding. You won’t be sorry. She even reminded us that it was supposed to be good luck to have rain on your wedding day.Beyond Eventful's reply:

Debbie went above and beyond for our wedding. She opened up not only her home but her heart to help my wife on our wedding day. We love Debbie and all she does. If you want someone who will focus on your special day much like a second mother, then look no further. She even took the time to pray with me before the ceremony, that meant more to me than the other things. Many would think that is a small detail but that meant the most to me. Thank you for thinking of our wedding when you needed reviews for your services. We just can’t say it enough we highly recommend Debbie. We LOVED her! We first met Debbie when she did a bachelorette party in 2017 for a friend. The Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt Wine tour was so fun and creative for our group as we were a bunch of elementary teachers. So obviously when I got engaged I thought you would be perfect for my wedding in 2018. Honestly Rick and I were already getting stressed out and you were so fun and creative we couldn’t have picked anyone better for us. In just a couple of weekly meetings you developed an idea of what we wanted and presented us with a fantastic plan. You took all our ideas and then brought them to life and added even more. Even when we had decided at the last minute to do a welcome dinner to bring all our families together you calmly took charge and got it done last minute for all of us. Every step of the way from the drivers that transported the guests to the returning of the grooms tux you and the girls were amazing! Everyone still talks about that weekend and when my sister gets married you will be on speed dial once again. We happily recommend you for anyone doing a small wedding or an intimate wedding that suddenly grows into 172 like ours. They just can’t go wrong with you and the team of professionals you work with.
