I visited a couple of other bridal shops before Betsy Robinson’s, and none of them compared to the experience I had here. From dress shopping all the way through alterations, Mallory and her team were incredibly kind, supportive, and welcoming throughout the entire process.
I visited twice before ultimately choosing my dress, and I never once felt pressured into making a decision just so they could make a sale. I ended up calling in the next morning after my second visit to make my decision, and they sounded just as excited over the phone for me as they would had I made the decision in person.
For my alteration appointments, I worked with Rachel, who was wonderful every step of the way. She was patient, helped voice any concerns I had to the seamstress, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. My dress turned out perfect, and I could not have been happier with the final result.

I had a delightful experience with the Betsy Robinson Bridal team from start to finish.
I went into my appointment already knowing I wanted a Maggie Sottero dress, and Betsy Robinson was one of the few boutiques that carried the designer, so I was already excited. But the experience exceeded all expectations.
Alexa was absolutely wonderful—so poised, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I showed her my dream dress, and instead of just having me try that one, she thoughtfully pulled a variety of styles, some similar and some completely different. That helped me truly confirm what I loved (and didn’t love), and ultimately made me 100% confident that my original dream dress was the one. I never felt rushed or pressured. I only felt supported by her and the team.
She listened carefully, answered all my questions, and always made me feel beautiful throughout the entire process.
Rachel (I believe that was her name who helped with my fittings) was also fantastic. She took the time to show my mom and me exactly how to bustle the dress so we could confidently show my bridesmaids on the wedding day. That level of care and attention to detail made such a difference.
And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to the seamstress who was incredible. I had a small issue where the lace on the collar was irritating my neck and leaving it red and scratched. I was honestly worried because I loved my dress so much. She came up with such a creative solution, sewing soft velvet along the inside of the collar so it felt smooth against my skin. Problem completely solved!
She also tailored the dress perfectly to my body. I’m petite with a slimmer torso and smaller bust, but I also have wider hips. So finding the right fit can be tricky. The team absolutely nailed it. The dress hugged my shape beautifully, felt secure up top, and was comfortable enough for me to dance all night without any issues.
Every time I walked into Betsy Robinson, I was greeted with warmth and kindness. They made me feel beautiful, confident, and truly cared for during such a special time.
I can’t recommend them enough!

I absolutely loved working with Betsy Robinson's to purchase and alter my wedding dress! I had excellent experiences with all of the staff, but especially want to shout out Mallory who was my consultant when I purchased my dress, and Alexa and Rachel who helped me during my alterations appointments. The whole team is knowledgable, encouraging, accommodating, and friendly. Betsy Robinson's selection of dresses is also amazing and I was able to find my dream dress on my very first appointment. Their in-house alterations were convenient and affordable (I was quoted way less than I expected based on friends' experiences at other stores) and they were able to fix a small issue with a customization I had added to my dress making it completely unnoticeable on the day of. I truly had a 10/10 experience and would recommend Betsy Robinson's to everyone in the Baltimore/Washington area! -

I started my process at Betsy Robinson in 2022 after getting engaged and it was so much fun. Their staff is knowledgable, courteous and engaging and they helped me with picking out different styles as the only thing I was sure of was that I did not want a mermaid style of dress. Being plus size, I was worried they wouldn't have a very large selection of dresses but they did and I was able to find my dream dress. the entire process was super smooth, from the try on's, to the purchasing to the the fittings themselves and alterations. It's wonderful that they do everything in house!
Mallory runs such a wonderful company and her whole team is fantastic! You really feel like family when you purchase your dress from them and It was such an easy and wonderful experience. -

The best team to get you bridal ready!
I had the privilege of working with Mal Tarsich as my consultant in May 2021 before she took over ownership of Betsy Robinson’s Bridal. I was so nervous but determined to find my dress on the day of my appointment because it was the only day I would have my mom and mother in law in town. Mal answered all of my questions in the weeks leading up to my appointment and assured me that we would find my dress! On the day, Mal made us feel so welcome and confident that we would be successful. Everyone loved being able to browse through the different rooms to pick dresses for me to try on. Between Mal and Betsy and my Mom, MIL and cousin we found the perfect dress for me and I was able to buy my strapless dress that day. Weeks later I decided I wanted to add sleeves for my ceremony. I came back in and Mal helped me design a custom jacket that would fit over the dress and match so it looked like the dress had sleeves and I could be strapless for the reception. I was again so nervous that it wouldn’t turn out the way I hoped but Olga is a seamstress wizard and it turned out beautifully. People thought I had two dresses! Finally I want to give a shout out to Rachel who helped with all of my fittings, taught me how to do practical things like walk up and down steps in my dress and helped me pick my veil which turned out to be even harder and emotional than finding my dress! Everyone at Betsy Robinson’s is talented, professional and truly cares about their customers and making sure you look and feel perfect on your wedding day. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had the best experience with Betsy Robinson Bridal. I had previously gone to another bridal boutique where they made me feel high maintenance for asking for something that had no rhinestones and not poofy, and was feeling really defeated until I came here. The woman helping me pulled dozens of dresses that I loved, and I found one that I fell in love with. When the dress came in and was a little bit too short, they contacted the designer of the dress to get extra pieces of appliqué/fabric shipped over to them, and their seamstress sewed them on flawlessly. I felt beautiful on my wedding day thanks to them! -

Betsy Robinson’s Bridal Collection was amazing to work with! Before I visited, I had sent them a few dresses that I liked and they made sure to put them aside for my visit. I tried on the first dress and immediately said, “This is the one.” Ashley (I think that was her name) agreed that it looked amazing, but still had me try on others just to make sure. Even though I still went back to that first one, I appreciate that she suggested others so I could be absolutely certain. It can be a little nerve-wracking to get undressed in front of a stranger, but Ashley made sure I felt comfortable the whole time and she was very professional.
I also got my dress altered at Betsy Robinson and the seamstress had such great attention to detail. She extended some of the embroidery on the side of my dress to cover a tattoo and it looked completely seamless like the dress was made that way! She made sure the dress fit me perfectly and felt comfortable. Thank you Betsy Robinson for the wonderful experience! -

From the second I entered Betsy Robinson’s I felt beautiful and so excited to find my dress. This was the first and only bridal shop I even went to! I luckily found my dress the first day and am still in love with it today! I lost a lot of weight from when I first ordered my dress to when I was actually able to get married- Covid delayed us. The seamstress was phenomenal. She truly made me an entire new dress- she took it in a little over 4 inches and you would have never known!! Definitely try this shop out for your wedding! -

LOVE THIS PLACE! My sister has previously gotten her wedding dress from here and loved the experience and I can truly say that I felt the same! Not only were they the first and ONLY place I went to for my dress but my consultant was able to find THE DRESS among our first round of choices!
Getting fitted was a breeze with the seamstresses knowing exactly what they were doing and offering tips and recommendations that actually made my day as a bride so much easier!

Betsy Robinson Bridal is just the best
Betsy Robinson is the best and is a well known bridal shop in the area for a reason! My husband and I live in Chicago but are both from the Baltimore area so when we decided to have the wedding in Maryland I knew I had to get my dress at Betsy's. They have a huge variety of styles and price points and the staff was so kind and helpful to me as an out of state bride. I was worried about having to fly back a ton during the pandemic for dress fittings but the staff was so understanding and was able to pretty much get all my alterations done while I was home for a week for Christmas. I was so impressed! Betsy even checked in to see how my dress shopping and fittings were going every time I came in which was very sweet and the whole staff really makes you feel so special! -

I had visited a few other stores before coming to Betsy Robinson's, and really didn't have great experiences at other places so I was really dreading visiting another store. But I had such a great experience at Betsy Robinson's. I had Tiffany helping me and she was super patient and thorough. I didn't purchase my dress that day as I wanted some time to think about it because I had found THREE dresses I loved. I felt no pressure to buy my gown that day and had the option to come back during the following week to still get the trunk show discount. I came back a few days later and was helped by another consultant who was also great! I ended up purchasing that day! I also had all my alterations for my dress done at Betsy Robinson's and while I think I paid more than seeking out an outside seamstress, I think it was worth it for the quality of the work and the timeliness. I also ordered my veil through them and it was perfect. I was so pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend the Betsy Robinson team to future brides!

Betsy Robinson is one of the most amazing and fun places to shop for your wedding dress. My consultant, Rose, was absolutely amazing. She listened to my wants and my budget and help guide me to the perfect dress. SHe was respectful of the budget and made sure I would stay well within. She helped wrangle my bridesmaids and mother as well!
Alterations were many but in the end, the dress fit like a glove. The entire reception I heard how stunning I looked and I 100% felt that way. -

We went during a sample sale (they have them often, so you can find a good deal). Got a beautiful A line dress with lace for about $400 less then the usual retail price. The lady that helped us was so helpful. Highly recommend. -

Wonderful selection of wedding gowns
I looked a long time for a wedding dress, but as soon as I walked in to Betsy Robinson’s I knew I would find the gown. My mom and I saw the same gown walking in and knew it was the one. The dresses are in rooms based on price range. Tons of beautiful classic gowns with modern elegance. The people that work there are fabulous, very friendly. One thing I will say- the alterations are expensive- like 30% of the price of the dress. You do get what you pay for- the dress looked seamless even with a modesty piece put in. When they give you a range for the alterations- assume the higher price. Also I bought my veil elsewhere. $400 for a plain floor length veil was where I drew the line. Overall- great place to find a dress and have quality alterations done!! -

The staff was patient and understanding even though I asked to be squeezed into an appointment last minute and needed a dress almost immediately. The team at Betsy Robinson was nothing short of amazing!! They have an enormous selection and was the first place I went to find my wedding gown. I tried on a number of dresses picked out by my Mom, my MOH, and myself; but the dress that I ended up choosing was picked by my consultant, Tiffany. I was hesitant at first but once I tried the dress on, everyone knew it was made for me. The team was very patient as I came back for a second appointment to make my decision and encouraged me to see what everyone else saw. I could not have picked a more perfect, stunning dress. As I went through fittings, my alteration consultant, Rachel, and my seamstress, Paula, were also an absolute delight to work with. My alterations were completed quickly and flawlessly. My dress fit like a glove and Paula was very helpful and easy to work with. Rachel showed us my complicated bustle on more than one occasion. I live a few hours away from Betsy's and I kept hearing about so many brides near me that were traveling to this shop so I obviously had to go and now I see why. Bridal shopping can obviously be very stressful but the team at Betsy's made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I went in thinking "I'm so picky- I won't like anything" but literally loved everything I tried on! I had the pleasure of working with Kim and she was an absolute dream! Every time I went in the shop I was greeted warmly by any staff I encountered. It was nice to see Betsy around often and get her input :) I went during a trunk sale and had to make a decision on a 'tester' dress before the weekend was over if I wanted it, and I ended up deciding later and said yes to the dress via email! Even though this wasn't ideal, Kim helped me throughout the process by sending me pictures of the different dresses and all the details I needed to help make an informed decision. An overall great experience! -

I worked with Gina and she was amazing! She was patient and took a true interest understanding my style and in helping me find the perfect dress for me. I got both my gown and my veil from Betsy, and I was and still am obsessed with them! The team was so wonderful in helping me choose my gown, took the time to help me choose my veil and even preview accessories that helped me know that my gown was the one. I had my alterations done there and Olga was an absolute magician in making my dress fit like a glove (I got endless compliments that my dress was made for me!) and my gorgeous seven-point bustle. It was such an easy and great experience and I could not have been happier with my gown! My bridesmaids also got their dresses from Betsy, and the process was super easy. Some girls tried dresses on in the shop, some live out of state and had to have theirs shipped, and my SIL had to order a dress for her future 8 month pregnant belly, and they made all of this so easy. Overall such a fantastic experience! You want to love your gown forever, and Betsy and her team make that happen! -

Everything was absolutely amazing when it came to dress shopping! I had actually specifically gone to this shop to try on a designer who's only available in a very limited amount of stores, but had no real intention to buy yet. I went by myself and ended up buying a dress! I had tried on a bunch of dresses by the designer I really wanted but none of them were quite right. I tried on a dress by Reem Acra and fell in love! The dress was nothing that I had envisioned myself in but it just made me feel amazing! Everyone at the shop kept telling me I looked perfect and the dress was made for me so I couldn't say no! My consultant Kim was amazing at helping me find the gown of my dreams which was a feat in itself considering I had absolutely no idea what I wanted! It was extra special to be able to meet Betsy and have her show interest in my gown experience! Not to mention the selection was incredible! She has gowns in every style you can think of! Go to Betsy’s! You won’t regret it!! -

My experience with Betsy Robinson’s was magical. From the first phone call when they were so accommodating and made a last minute appointment for me during a trunk show for the following day, to the kindness of the receptionists when I arrived, to the attentiveness and heartfelt support from Rose (amazing woman), the team, and the rep from Watters, to the atmosphere and good vibes between all of us brides-to-be! It was just wonderful—my only regret was that I can’t have the experience again because I found my dream dress and had such a great time! Thank you Rose & team for being so amazing!! -

I always knew that I wanted to be a Betsy Robinson bride. I had made an appointment at another dress store just as a way of seeing other inventory as well as comparing price. I went to that appointment first and found THE DRESS! Wanting to go to Betsy’s as well I left without buying it. I tried on a bunch at Betsy’s and nothing compared to the other dress. She carried the designer just not the dress but could order it for us. When she told us the price, not only was it under our budget...by a lot, it was also cheaper than the other boutique. We did all our alterations through Betsy and ended up getting my veil there as well. The dress was amazing and everything I had ever dreamed of! Betsy Robinson was wonderful to work. My only complaint would be that they ran 30-40 min late for each of my fitting appointments. This wasn’t a huge deal except for the fact that I left work early each time to be on time.

As a 5'11", plus-size bride, I was so worried about shopping for my wedding dress - having flashbacks to how hard it was to find dresses for high school dances and events. My experience at Betsey Robinson was pretty much perfect from my very first visit. I worked with several different consultants during my initial visit through all my fittings, everyone was kind and helpful.
The dress selection is unbelievable and there were PLENTY of dresses for me to try on in sizes 14+ - I would recommend this shop to any size bride, MOB or bridesmaid. -

After visiting about 5 or 6 other bridal shops, Betsy Robinson had my dress! Rose was assisting me and was such a huge help! She was very understanding of my style and budget and didn’t want me to waste any time in dresses I wasn’t feeling. I also got my veil there too and will be bringing my bridesmaids back! This place is amazing! Definitely recommend as it was gorgeous, easy, friendly and reasonably priced! (My dress was on the sample sale rack!) It was a dream on my wedding day, so comfortable and easy to move around and sit in! I received so many compliments!! -

I found a dress that I loved but it was too small and discontinued, they were able to hunt it down and get it to me I my size! I was able to find a sample one cheaper elsewhere but they were so responsive and on it, they really saved my day and made it possible!

All of the staff are so friendly and made my dress-buying experience so stress-free and pleasant. Kim, the store manager was my consultant. I never felt pressured or rushed and ended up buying my dress on my first visit to a bridal salon. They did my alterations which were perfect! I also ended up purchasing my hair pin there and it was gorgeous! I would recommend trying to go on a day where they aren't so busy if possible. -

She listened to my thoughts on each dress, selected beautiful gowns to try, accommodated the many opinions from my family and friends, and most importantly made sure that I found the dress of my dreams within my price range! After having less successful and less accommodating experiences at other boutiques, I was so surprised by how much fun this experience was and that I found many dresses that I loved. The boutique is gorgeous and I loved work with Gina. Can't wait to try on the dress again once it arrives!
