We highly recommend Krista as a wedding coordinator! Our wedding was about 125 people. Leading up to the wedding, we had already found most vendors, but were unopinionated about several details -- Krista went above and beyond by offering experienced insight on each open question.She kept track of everything we'd mentioned and managed communication / check-ins with all the vendors and both sets of parents.
At the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she kept things perfectly on track - and delivered information without any of the tension you might expect on a wedding day. She knew our only goal (beyond saying I do) was to have the most fun possible and let us do that. She also majorly helped during a dress rip - gathering supplies, coordinating with moms/sister who were helping sew, and making transitions back to the party smooth.
Also her timeline was gold. If you're still debating whether to get a DoC, just do it! You won't regret it.Bend Weddings and Events's reply:

Surprise Proposal
Naomi and the Bend team went above and beyond to make my surprise beach proposal and immaculate success. I was planning this from the other side of the country, so needed plenty of guidance regarding the Oregon area and the best way to go about the proposal. Their team was very responsive to my questions and excellent at trouble shooting issues along the way. They provided a detailed proposal plan complete with a phony reservation idea to make sure everything went perfectly. They also helped to arrange a photography for the occasion at a much lower price than what I had found via my own search. Couldn't recommend this team more. Professional, kind, and with a great aesthetic eye all without breaking the budget of a young recent college grad!Bend Weddings and Events's reply:

Naomi accomplished making every idea of mine into a reality AND more. Never felt an ounce of stress before, during, and after my wedding, I was relieved to have put my wedding into her hands. We hired Naomi & Bend weddings when my Goddaughter was getting married in OR and I live in CA, since I was too far to help. They did such a wonderful job, it was a perfect day, Most importantly it was the couple's perfect day. The normal wedding drama & last minute changes were met with a pleasant professionalism. We hired Naomi as our wedding coordinator for our wedding in May 2024. She was an absolute dream to work with, super organized, proactive, working ahead all the time so everything was in order during the big day. I honestly didn't realize how valuable a wedding coordinator role would be until a few months into planning, and then it really hits home about a month before the wedding! She was incredible, coordinating with all the vendors on timing, set up, decorations, who/what/when/wherem etc, so that on the wedding day all I had to do was get my hair and makeup done, dress, and get married! Bend Wedding and Events is wonderful! Naomi was the best money spent in all my wedding planning! I live out of town, and she was still able to help and support the planning process. As the wedding day got closer, she did a ton of work to connect with all the other vendors so everything was in order before the big day. My wedding day had some unexpected turns, and Naomi was absolutely on top of everything, so patient, kind, and truly a joy to work with! We are San Jose, CA locals that fell in love with the beautiful backdrop that Bend, OR has to offer. We knew we needed help coordinating our destination wedding, so selecting the right person to help plan our special day was a choice we had to get right. We interviewed multiple coordinators and the moment we spoke to Naomi Russell at Bend Weddings and Events, we both knew we found who we were looking for. Naomi's professionalism, service, and extensive network of vendors experienced in weddings made Bend Weddings and Events a "one-stop-shop" for all our wedding needs. Naomi's scheduling app makes it easy to schedule phone calls. She also creates a gentle flow of wedding planning tasks through Aisle Planner which allowed us to tackle the many wedding "to-dos" without feeling overwhelmed throughout the process. An opportunity for feeling overwhelmed revealed itself the night before our engagement photoshoot with Ely Roberts, one of Naomi's suggested photographers. The night before the photoshoot, we were out to a nice dinner in Bend, OR and Naomi informed us our hair/makeup person was unable to make it to the appointment for the following afternoon. If we were on our own, this would've sent us into a panic and most likely ruined our dinner as we scrambled searching for a replacement. Even though Naomi was sick, she went to work and found the perfect substitute. After that experience, we both knew we found the right coordinator in Naomi. She was consistently there when we needed her and we can't imagine experiencing the wedding planning process without Naomi and her team. Incredible planner and coordinator!
Naomi and her team at Bend Weddings and Events were everything we could’ve asked for and more out of a wedding planner/ coordinator! Naomi was incredibly organized, responsive, and extremely helpful throughout our wedding planning process. She took and executed our vision perfectly, and then some. When we had questions on any wedding items, she proposed creative ideas and solutions that we moved forward with. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to different vendors, and she made every decision an easy decision. Naomi was patient with us and never ever made us feel stressed throughout the planning process. Even more, we were so relaxed on our wedding day and everything went perfectly. We loved our experience with Naomi through Bend Weddings & Events! To save money, we chose the simplest wedding planning package they offer; however, I felt I received even more guidance and assistance than I expected! Naomi was always quick to respond to my (many) emails and offered lots of vendor recommendations in Bend (several which I ended up hiring) as well as decor inspiration assistance. Our day of experience with Naomi and her assistant also could not have gone better. She was there from early morning through nearly the entire night. She helped set up the lodge and ceremony areas and brought our wedding vision to life! She truly made me and my bridal party/family feel at ease and our event went absolutely flawlessly...I did not think this was even possible! Hiring Naomi to be our day of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I loved planning our wedding but I also knew I didn’t want to stress the day of. We had a small wedding, so I debated whether this was even necessary for a long time. I’m the end, I decided a day-of coordinator would be a good way to avoid working my own wedding or passing undesirable tasks off to friends & family. Naomi went above & beyond, planning for things I hadn’t given any thought, & finding tasks she could do & ways she could help on her own initiative with no prompting. Naomi Russell expertly helped the bride and groom plan and carry out a wedding that went through many changes. The process began 9 months ahead of time in December of 2019, encountered the difficulties of COVID restrictions and the last minute challenge of wildfire smoke on the days preceding and the day of the wedding. Naomi responded with cool expertise, confidence and completeness. She is very knowledgeable about the processes and etiquette of the wedding festivities, helpful with recommendations and alternatives, professional in her communications. We ended up relying on her more than we thought we would, especially when unexpected circumstances occurred. Well versed, tireless, extremely competent. Then you jump on WeddingWire to scour through the best valued vendors for your budget. You'll feel that first bit of feeling overwhelmed. This is where we paused on the wedding planning train to find someone to sit with and communicate our wedding vision. My husband and I were pretty set on hiring Magadalyn almost immediately. She is very eager to communicate clearly with the both of you to be sure your wedding day is everything you envision. Magadayln and her staff made our wedding dream a reality! Do not hesitate to hire her. She is hard working, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her career and produces amazing results, not to mention very sweet and kind. Highly recommend!! -

Brooke Sent on 12/06/2017If I could give Bend Weddings and Events 10 stars, I would. Her services are invaluable, and she fulfilled my expectations completely. I had NO STRESS the day of the wedding in regards to how the day would flow and how our plans would be executed. As for her personality, I instantly felt like she was my friend. She is warm, personable, and understanding. This is important for an anxious bride!
We hired Magadalyn as a Day-of Coordinator, and she went above and beyond. From the start she took time on the phone with me for a consultation, explaining the process and what I could expect. This helped me understand how the next few months would go. During the planning process, she checked in with me frequently and readily answered any questions or concerns I had about wedding planning.
While Magadalyn ALWAYS had suggestions and helpful insights, she allowed me to create a wedding I thought would best fit us and our personalities -- as opposed to adhering to "standard" practices. Her experience and advice helped me be prepared in advance for the day-of needs -- checks for vendors, lists of toast givers, descriptions of decorations, timelines, etc.
The day of the wedding, it felt like there were 5 Magadalyns, because I'm not sure how she accomplished all everything we asked AND MORE with just herself -- but she did! She ensured our decorations were perfect and used her experience to enhance some of my ideas. Everything went so smoothly -- as far as I could tell!! Our guests said the same thing. There were no hiccups (that I knew of), but if there had been -- I'm certain Magadalyn would've handled it without my ever knowing.
Our wedding ceremony and reception were better than I could have ever imagined! I can positively say this is 100% because we hired Magadalyn and Bend Weddings and Events for day of coordination. -

First the Phone response was quick and very helpful. We did not want to go thru e mail hell and so her inital Phone dialogue helped imensely. We had on site meeting and shared all the needs. Magadalyn of Bend Wedding and Events had great insights in to reputable vendors and we trusted her recomendations for our chooosing. Importantly we said Success would be our ability walk in to the Ceremony and reception like a guest , enjoy the celebration and leave at the end feeling elated .

She worked with me on my "day-of" planning & coordination. She was always available over email, text, and over the phone to work through things. She not only had amazing ideas for centerpieces, guest book, etc… but when it came to our big day, she executed the set-up quickly, efficiently, and it looked waaay better than I had ever expected. I felt like I could completely trust her and allow her to take charge. She worked great with running our rehearsal, helping my family members, and working with other vendors. Magadalyn even contacted my photographer, DJ, venue, and others before the wedding in order to keep them in the loop and provide them with wedding day info. I am so impressed with Bend Weddings & Events. If you want someone you can trust, you will want to work with Magadalyn! -

We had a positive experience working with Krista and Emily as our wedding coordinator and assistant and would gladly recommend them to others. Initially, I wasn’t sure we needed a coordinator, but I’m so glad we chose to hire them—even late in the planning process. Their expertise and pricing felt fair and well-matched to the value they provided.
Emily was incredibly helpful with our welcome party the night before the wedding, which was hosted by family. Despite the last-minute request, she made herself available and was clear about what she could and couldn’t do due to Oregon alcohol laws, offered a very reasonable rate, and allowed my mom to fully relax and enjoy the event.
Krista provided excellent support during the wedding planning. As a detail-oriented bride, I had much of the groundwork already prepared, but Krista offered valuable insights, caught details I hadn’t considered, and handled vendor communication and confirmations during the week of the wedding. This freed me up to focus on final preparations, and it was a relief to have someone ensuring everything ran smoothly and on time behind the scenes.
While we were overall pleased, there were some minor disappointments regarding day-of roles and responsibilities. For example, we had hoped Emily would stay at the guest book table during high-traffic times to encourage guests to sign, help take pictures and guide guests, but this didn’t happen as we’d expected – it was more of an occasional checking on the table. Additionally, we assumed they might periodically check in with us to see if we needed anything as we had trouble finding anyone a few times, though we didn’t communicate this hope beforehand. To avoid similar situations, I’d recommend being very specific about expectations and tasks ahead of time, as we would have been open to adding another assistant if needed.
That said, we deeply appreciated their ability to handle unexpected issues, such as finding fuel for an empty generator or helping caterers with setup. They managed many behind-the-scenes details that we wouldn’t have anticipated but were critical to the event’s success.
In summary, we were happy with the level of support Krista and Emily provided, especially for the price, and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again. -

Cons:
-Worked with one planner the whole time and then had a different person on the day of.
-Had a hard time finding the planner the day of.
-Should have had checklist with planner to verify with florist day of, as we were missing half our floral decor and nobody noticed.
