Miranda was amazing to work with!
Working with Miranda was the best choice I made for my wedding (besides marrying my now husband). She was there for me for everything I could have needed. She made my wedding day a breeze. Leading up to it, she made sure we were prepared for everything. She is so knowledgeable about the Kansas City wedding industry.
We rented a bunch of our wedding decorations from her as well. It was so easy to have her deliver the items and take them away the same night.
I couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out! -

Works wonderfully with other wedding vendors!
From a vendor perspective it is refreshing to work with Miranda. She brings a wide range of experiences, services and skills to the table that not only help support my business, but ensure that the bride and groom's experience is more than they even expected. Whenever I recommend her to a couple I know they are in good hands and will be treated as if they are the only couple she has to work with. Her level of communication and customer service to my couples are above and beyond! -

Miranda with Belle Journee was incredible to work with from start to finish. We had a few issues come up at the last minute with our venue and Miranda simply took care of EVERYTHING. She is willing to go above and beyond to ensure your day is perfect and stress-free for you, for your guests and for your family. She is an extremely hard worker and knows how to get it done. Our wedding day was simply perfect and we have Miranda to thank for that. -

Miranda at Belle Journee was absolutely remarkable! I truly do not know what I would have done without her during our whole wedding process. My wife and I are very laid back and wanted a fairly simple and affordable wedding so we did not think about a wedding planner at first. But once we realized ALL of the things that had to be done and organized for the wedding we considered it. From the first day we met Miranda, she was extremely professional while also very personable. With that being said she doesn’t make you feel like a ‘client’, it feels like you just have this awesome friend helping you plan your wedding. She is very affordable so if you are even considering a wedding planner, or if you’re not, I highly highly highly recommend Belle Journee. At least give her a call and talk with her, you will not regret it! -

Miranda was great for our day of coordinator! We had some issues with weather, and Miranda problems solved so I didn't feel any stress. I would definitely recommend her services to future brides in the Lawrence/KC area! -

Miranda was absolutely amazing! My wife and I weren’t even planning on hiring anybody but then we found Miranda and it was a done deal! We hired her as our day of coordinator but she was so much more. She went way above and beyond for us when it came to the wedding details. She helped us find vendors, confirmed all of them would be at the wedding and really did all the communicating for us and took that stress off our hands. She was so fun to work with and made our wedding day stress free! Everyone needs her. -

Having Miranda was literally the best thing I did for the wedding! I promise she is worth every penny. She made everything run extremely smooth through every part of the wedding. She helped with decorating, coordinating everyone, and making all the final decisions on the wedding day so I could enjoy the day. I trusted her to make sure everything was perfect and she did that plus some! -

I was the photographer for a wedding coordinated by Miranda. She was by far THE BEST wedding coordinator I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! She had great communication and organization throughout the whole process! She coordinated between the bride and I flawlessly and made sure I had everything I needed for the day of the of the Wedding. Miranda has the unique ability to make those around her feel at ease and taken care of even when things may not go exactly as planned. It was such a pleasure working with her and I would definitely recommend her to my future brides! -

Miranda was so awesome and easy to work with! I was glad we were able to have her as part of our wedding planning process. Her day of coordination was on point and she went above and beyond what I thought a day off coordinator was going to do. She helped us navigate through each road block that we encountered...even was able to get us flowers when our orders were canceled due to the hurricanes! She actually reached out to me about the floral before the our bulk order company reached out us! Miranda made our wedding day stress free and perfect! -

Miranda provides world-class service. She does exactly what a wedding planner *should* do. Most planners out there are glorified "hand-holders" and "design consultants" while Miranda actually rolls up her sleeves and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She's the whole package. She gave out her personal cell phone to all the bridesmaids/groomsmen the night before to make sure they knew she was a resource for any last minute emergencies. I'm so glad to have worked with her! -

Belle Journee (Miranda Ritter) was an absolute joy and blessing to work with for our wedding. We had initially thought that we could manage and coordinate our own wedding but quickly realized that there were quite a lot of minor details on the day of that we would need help ensuring were executed. This acknowledgment is what led us to begin looking for a day-of coordinator. After reaching out to a number of vendors, Miranda was the only vendor interested in meeting us and learning more about what exactly we were looking for in a coordinator. We feel incredibly lucky to have met Miranda and had the opportunity to have her industry expertise. She was very responsive, organized, detail oriented and truly cared that our wedding was everything we dreamed. I will also add that we received praise from the other vendors at our wedding, that Miranda was amazing to work with and made their jobs easier. -

We are so glad that we had Miranda as our day of coordinator! She truly cared about our wedding and how we wanted things to go. She was so organized and on the ball, all day. My wedding day wasn't stressful in the slightest because I knew she had everything under control. She helped wrangle people for photos, communicate with all the vendors, cue the processional, cut the cake, help bustle my dress, and so so much more! Plus, her rental items we used were super pretty and fit our venue well. A day of coordinator is SO necessary for a wedding and we absolutely recommend Miranda for the job!

Miranda is amazing. She was a day of coordinator for our big day, and it wouldn't have been as amazing without her! She gave us so many awesome vendor recommendations. Our day went so smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything. My emails were answered quickly and she helped me make all of my ideas reality.
We also got all of our rentals from Miranda. They were beautiful and exactly what we wanted! The whole day was beautiful because of Miranda's help and services!
We are going to miss Miranda now that our wedding is over! -

Miranda is worth every penny. She knew when to step in to make a decision, but also knew when it was important to ask what I wanted. She made connecting with her easy and she was readily accessible when I needed her. Bottom Line: I would work with Miranda again, without question. I highly recommend her to any bride who likes the idea of doing some of the work herself (I loved planning!), but who needs the support of someone like Miranda to make her vision come to life. Miranda made sure I felt no stress on our big day, and I can't thank her enough! -

Miranda was amazing to work with! She was the first day of coordinator to respond to my inquiry email. Second, she was the cheapest out of all the day of coordinators I talked to. When I first met with Miranda, I knew right away I wanted to hire her as my coordinator. She had so many ideas at our first meeting. Between meeting her and my wedding she was always available via email and phone calls. She was there for me and my entire wedding party during our rehearsal and the entire day of our wedding. My wedding day was so smooth and it was all thanks to Miranda! I couldn't have done it without her! I HIGHLY recommend Miranda!!! -

Miranda is a God send!!!! We hired her last minute as a day of coordinator, recommended by our wedding venue. The second we had our meeting, she was so detailed and diligent about organizing our day, getting in contact with vendors and helping me with a detailed timeline of the day. The day of our wedding, everything that COULD go wrong, DID go wrong! She handled everything above and beyond! She was 100% the best decision we made to hire her for the day of our wedding. Our photographer, Phillip Flores, sent me a text message the MORNING of our wedding saying he couldn't come. Miranda had another photographer she immediately had on call if we wanted them! We are still dealing with legal issues and refunds with the photographer, and Miranda is still with us 100%! Her 1 day job has extended to over 2 months!! Miranda saved our wedding and my sanity!!! -

We hired Laura from Belle Journee to do our Day-Of-Coordinating. It was one of the first wedding decisions I made because I knew I would want to be stress free on my wedding day. Laura totally made that happen and at a great price! Leading up to the wedding day she was easy to get a hold of, responded quickly to any questions or requests I had, and even reminded me of upcoming payments I had due for vendors. She did anything from finding us a cake stand, to helping us with our timeline. Every time we met with her, I always left leaving less stressed. Come the wedding day, she did so much and my family kept commenting on how helpful she was! From picking up breakfast, to getting my iphone which had our cocktail hour playlist on it to the band, to setting up our Italian cookie table, to bringing my toss bouquet when I needed it! And she kept checking in with us multiple times throughout the reception to ensure we were doing ok. It seemed like Laura was everywhere we needed her to be when we needed her! I could not imagine having a wedding WITHOUT at least a day-of coordinator. My now husband and I were able to truly enjoy our wedding day, stress free! And that right there is priceless! -

Miranda was a joy to work with. She has great ideas, is VERY creative, and just goes above and beyond! A perfect example is after trying to find some vintage light strands with no luck, Miranda took it upon herself to make some (with her fathers's help!). Oh my gosh, they were amazing! Our daughter had a very non traditional wedding and Miranda was all over it! The wedding and reception were both at Abe and Jakes in Lawrence, and Miranda just seems to know everyone. It was a very smooth, enjoyable evening for all of us! She is so cute and spunky and knows so many ways to save money....we were soooo lucky to have "found" her and now I can honestly say our family has a new friend. I would totally recommend Miranda to anyone for any event....not just a wedding. And she will definitely be involved in the rest of our children's weddings in the future! Honestly, you can't go wrong with Miranda! -

My sister got married December 31st in Lawrence KS... When I showed up to my parents house the morning of December 30th to help move what was needed from the house to the venue, it was beyond freezing cold and very windy. There were 5-6 people there helping and the only one I didn't know at the time was Miranda. I thought she was a friend of my sister who I hadn't met. Little did I know she was the wedding planner and helping us do the dirty work in below freezing temp. She was very organized and knew what had to go and what had to stay. When we got to the venue, she took control and told us what we needed to do and showed us how it should look while being hands on the entire time. Very easy to work with, with a great sense of humor. She made the days leading up to the wedding so much easier on my mom and sister, just taking the stress away from them so they could focus and what they wanted to focus on. The wedding was awesome and ran without a kink. Everything went as planned and its bc of her and how she carries herself. She's fun but at the same time she gets the job done. Thank you for making my sisters special day a great experience. -

I rented the photo booth from Belle Journee for my daughter's 16 birthday party. They worked with me and my timeline for the photo booth operation time. They were all VERY proffessional and very polite. Miranda is the owner, she catered to my daughter all night. She also stayed with the booth helping the kids with the booth and all of the props. They had TONS of props and fun stuff for the kids to wear! The photo booth was a HUGE hit and I am SO glad i found Belle Journee! I will also be using their photo booth again for my older daughter's wedding! I would definately recommend BELLE JOURNEE!! -

Miranda worked with my best friend (the bride) through the planning process and was absolutely instrumental in keeping her sane, focused, and happy. Having a professional with great connections to service providers and excellent references was a necessity, and thanks to her support, advice, and impeccable planning, the wedding went off without a hitch! (Well - the DJ was a bust, but that did not reflect on Miranda - and she negotiated to get the bride and groom's money back without having to involve them in the ickiness). As a plus, we got to make ample use of the photo booth at the reception which was a great deal of fun! Yay! Belle Journee - and especially Miranda - proved worthy time and time again, and I am thankful for the help and services provided. Great job, lovelies! -

We hired Belle Journee for their photo booth services for our granddaughter's graduation. Miranda and Chad were very professional and engaged everyone in the fun. They managed to somehow take a pictures, or pictures, of everyone at the party. They provided great memories for our granddaughter and also for everyone who attended. I am highly recommending this company. Miranda and Chad, you are very special people. Thank you so much for everything! If you are planning an event, do not hesitate to hire this company. They went above and beyond and I wish them the best and I hope to be using them again soon. -

I decided to hire Miranda as our wedding planner when my wife expressed an interest after a long stressful day of meetings with vendors. This decision was one of the best my wife and I made for the wedding. Miranda made our entire process run smoothly! I can’t tell you how many times that my wife and I were stressed about things to do for the wedding. But, of
course, Miranda had several connections and would take on the stressful
responsibilities by herself.
As for the rehearsal and wedding day, Miranda had it running like a well-oiled machine. She kept not only us on track, but took care of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, too! She is truly an incredible wedding planner, and if you would love for the wedding process to run smoothly, I would contact her. It was the best decision we ever made!

We used Miranda with Belle Journee for our photo booth rental. It was such a great addition to our wedding & the guests had a blast using it. It was even more fun for us to look through all of the pictures the next day in the guest book that came with our package :). I would recommend this company for anyone that is looking for great, quality service! -

I found out about Miranda from my sons wedding. Being the grooms mother I did not get to know Miranda very well. My daughter got married the year after my son and he suggested that I use Miranda. He and his wife raved about her. So I gave her a try. I have to tell you, she is worth her weight in gold. She has so many connections and makes the entire process smooth. She took all the stress away so my daughter and I could enjoy this day. I highly recommend her any event!!!

I heard about Miranda at Belle Journee through a relative, and I'm so glad we decided to use her. She is extremely professional, organized and has extensive experience in wedding and event planning. Miranda is also very creative and had lots of great ideas about decorations for the ceremony and reception. The night of our rehearsal, Miranda stayed late to hang lanterns in the trees where our ceremony was being held and arrange chairs. She also arrived early the next day to set up additional decorations for the ceremony and make sure everything was ready to go at our reception site. We definitely could not have done it without her! Miranda handled everything to ensure we had nothing to worry about, and she made our day absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend her to any bride-to-be! -

Hiring Miranda was the best decision I made for my wedding day. We had a large, chaotic wedding and hiring Miranda helped keep both me (the bride) and my mother sane. Miranda is incredibly cool under pressure, quick on her feet, and very intuitive. She didn't need a lot of direction and jumped in to help as needed. We also rented a photobooth from her (she will give you a great deal if you are using her for planning/coordinating!) The booth was a huge hit with our guests and had the ability to record video messages to the bride and groom (so fun!) If you are looking to hire someone to make your life less stressful, this is your girl. -

We hired Miranda about three months before our wedding. My mom had booked all the vendors, planned everything and I didn't want her to have to worry about anything on the actual wedding day so I really wanted a Day-of Wedding Coordinator. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money so Belle Journee was by far the cheapest with as good ratings! Although Miranda was just technically the "Day-of" coordinator, weeks before she called us to discuss everything, looked over all our vendor contracts, came up with a wedding day timeline and even helped us set up the venue a few days before. On the wedding day, Miranda was a miracle worker. She ran the show and told everyone where to be and when. She was able to take the stress off when little things popped up too, like a last minute need for vegetarian meals from the caterer or a tear in the flower girl's tights. I felt totally at ease with her there. -

(Bride's perspective) We hired Miranda from Belle Journee to work with us as our day-of coordinator for our wedding. I manage events professionally, so was able to do all of the lead-up planning, but knew I wanted someone to manage things on the day-of so that I wouldn't have to worry. Miranda was so professional and great to work with! She thinks of all the types of details that I do for my events and she problem-solves if any issues come up, without you having to worry about it on your special day. I was especially glad to have her there to run our wedding rehearsal, because she really knows what she's doing and helped all of us to figure out how the ceremony would run. She was great at collaborating with all of our other vendors and keeping things running smoothly during the day. She spent all day with us and didn't leave the venue until after the last guest was gone. She thought of stuff and had already taken care of it before I could even ask her about it. Hiring Miranda was some of the best money we spent for our wedding! We were really able to enjoy our day, knowing that she was taking care of everything behind the scenes! -

We definitely recommend the Planning services. Miranda has the experience, contacts, and tools to facilitate and manage vendors, oversee setup/teardown, and catch all the little "oops" before they are an issue. She also has valuable advice to make things smooth and coordinated. We had 500+ guests with an outdoor reception including DJ and photo booth. The entire event was perfect. -

I rented their photo booth and they did a great job. The guy over the photobooth was very nice and very interactive with my guest. They are all still raving about how funny and nice he was. I am so happy that we decided to book our wedding photo booth with this company. Really great price also. -

PLEASE READ prior to signing the contract. This is my first review I ever wrote. I personally took the time off after our wedding to create this review for you all. We booked with Miranda as our day of coordinator to contact vendors, create timeline, and transfer floral arrangements. Our first meeting with her went positive. After we signed the contract, it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of her. Although in the contract it stated unlimited emails for questions. However, that’s definitely not the case. Every email we sent would take weeks before we would hear back. We would repeatedly sent her follow up emails to remind her she hasn’t gotten back to us. The timeline she created is inattentive. She has us being at multiple places at the same time. It looks like something she slap together in a few minutes since we constantly requested it. A week prior to our wedding and we still had not heard from her about the plan to transfer the floral.
I’ve never been this frustrated and disappointed in someone’s performance. We hired her to mitigate the stress and avoid emotional strain. Truth to be told, that’s far from the case. She is extremely unprofessional, unethical, inconsiderate, and incompetent to fulfill her agreement. We fired her exactly one week out from our big day. It’s the best decision we made. PLEASE do not make a mistake as we did with her. You’re better off with asking your coworker, the cashier at your local grocery store or even the neighborhood kid down the street. She emailed us offering to refund the deposit if we didn’t write a bad review. Weeks later she emailed us threatening to sue us if we wrote a negative feedback. Little did she know we’ve been working with our family lawyer to document the case. What a joke!
