  Mila is wonderful! Like a dream, she made sure my wedding day was perfect and stress free. I had a logistically different wedding (mountain top, snowboard down), Mila adapted easily and planned to the smallest details so on the day of, all I had to do was let her handle everything. Mila had plenty of vendor contacts that could work with my odd wedding. She took my ideas and made them into a reality. She personally designed and set up my centerpieces and reception decorations, taking a general idea and some colors, and making something beautiful. My reception was gorgeous and well coordinated, I felt relaxed, happy, and glowing in love. Thank you so much, Mila!!

  Mila was worth her weight in gold! I don't know what we would have done without her! Last year was a tough one for me, and I was unable to help my daughter much with the wedding planning. But Mila stepped in and took over. She planned everything for the day of, and everything went so smoothly. She was friendly, professional, and so helpful. I'm sorry, but I don't really know if my daughter used WeddingWire or not, so I'll say no. But I really don't know. Thank you, Mila!!!!

  The decision to hire Mila as a day-of coordinator was probably the single best decision we made in preparation for our wedding! Mila is amazing and made our wedding go off without a hitch. Worth her weight in gold!

  I worked with Mila at a wedding and she was wonderful! Very attentive to details and accommodating to all special requests from the client. As a caterer it is always refreshing to work with a planner that is willing to do whatever it takes to have a successful event. I would highly recommend Belle du Jour Events to assist in planning your wedding.

  Mila was phenomenal! She did all of the work to make sure the wedding was exactly what we wanted, found us amazing vendors and stayed within budget. I couldn't imagine planning a wedding (or any large event) without her. Thank you Mila!!!

  Mila was one of the best things about our wedding! She made our say so easy and effortless. She was incredibly prepared, communicative, respectful of how we wanted to do things, and resourceful. I HIGHLY recommend going with her for your wedding, as she takes all the stress of you and your partner. She is amazing!

  Mila was wonderful! She helped us organize the timeline for our wedding thoughtfully, and she helped us solve a few logistical problems before the wedding day. We had limited time for set up for our venue (which was a public park space and included nothing), and she found us assistants to hire to help with set up. I would hire her again in a heartbeat for any event!

  I hired Belle du Jour to help me plan a bridal luncheon for my friend who was getting married. Mila first met with me to talk about what the bride was expecting and we did a little brainstorming.   Mila turned my wedding dream into a reality. Our day was absolutely perfect! We had her day of package and it was a great deal. She helped with a little of the planning before (schedule for the day and rehearsal), and then made the day of our wedding look and feel just how we wanted. I would recommend her to any friend or family member in a heartbeat.

On our wedding day, she arrived early and eager to help and coordinate from minute one through the end of the night - vendor coordination, decorating, managing wedding party, and details I don't even know about! She made our life simple. Well worth every penny. Mila - thank you for helping make our day perfect!

  Belle du Jour was remarkable for our day of coordinator. She was constantly moving without being frenetic.   We got married at The Oxford Hotel in Downtown Denver. Unfortunately, we give Mila Gates of Belle du Jour Events 2 stars. After the contract was signed, red flags began. As she was to be our day-of coordinator (not our planner), attention to detail was crucial. At the walk-through Mila didn’t take any notes to ensure that our plans would be carried out, the very thing we hired her for. Mila was in over her head. At our wedding rehearsal, she was rushed, never introduced herself to our group to establish rapport, disregarded our plans for the processional, ignored questions. The room was in chaos, all were confused. Worst of all were her derogatory remarks about family members. Thankfully, we had an amazing officiant (Matt Morgan Weddings & Coaching) who took over the entire rehearsal as Mila watched. We were in keep-calm-and-carry-on mode. On our wedding day, Mila placed most of our table/decorative items correctly but several mistakes were made even though instructions were provided & items were labeled. Mistakes happen, but when Mila was asked to make the necessary changes she did so grudgingly. Again, during our reception, Mila made derogatory comments to guests. At the end of the night, some items weren’t packed as agreed upon and were left at the hotel, whereabouts unknown. Although we were able to retrieve centerpiece vases/flowers from the trash, others were already gone. Mila had instructions that my parents would take most, if not all, of the flowers that night for the day-after brunch. Mila did not dress/present herself in a professional manner for either our rehearsal or our wedding day despite the setting and formal attire of our guests. It is with great sadness we write a review like this about someone we chose to be a part of a special day. Since we depended heavily on vendor reviews, we want to help future newlyweds. We hope that Mila knows what she did, how she made people feel, and where she can grow. Lastly, we thank Mila for what she did do well.
