The best of the best!
Deborah is the best at what she does. We worked with her for a wedding like no other, it was complicated in that we had a venue switch about 2 months prior to the wedding, and she helped navigate through it with us like the true professional she is. Always being positive and optimistic, she's an entire support system in one person! She's far more than a coordinator but also a source of comfort when nerves run high and she's everything we could've wanted from a coordinator. During our wedding she shielded us from a lot of things that I'm sure could've taken us away from our day, all the small things with vendors/rentals/layout/communication was executed perfectly, she has great attention to detail with emails/paperwork leading up to the wedding and maybe most importantly she really made sure that day-of we were going to have the BEST time of our lives, and that's exactly what happened. She really wants that for her clients, she's the first person we hugged after our ceremony and for good reason, because she's knows our wedding journey more than anyone, and she was along for the ride the whole time... never complaining and always having a positive uplifting can-do attitude. Even things like the rehearsal day before where all family is meeting for the first time, you can really see how pro she is directing people like a high production broadway show. Words can't express how grateful we are for Deborah's work on our wedding at the Maybourne, handling all the switching and nuances of a very complex wedding with all the vendors/paperwork/performers involved. Wedding have so many moving parts and she is masterful at having an eye on all things. Our wedding would not have been what it was without Deborah, she is the reason we can say it was the best day of our lives. And we have the highest recommendations for her and her team! (The only thing we would've wanted to remember doing on the timeline was taking sweetheart table photos per table)

Hey Deborah! Claire and I just got settled home. What a whirlwind of a night that was! just wanted to send you a personal THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for making that happen from start to finish. We woke up and recapped the whole day and were saying how it was truly the best day of our lives. Everyone was telling us they loved it. Everything came together so perfectly. Even the rehearsals, everything was so smooth. Haha. It turned out actually bloody beautiful haha. All the small things too were taken care of. We honestly couldn't have had it go any better. We love you! You are truly the best at what you do. Was a wild journey this wedding journey haha, but we couldn't have asked for a better person to share this journey with. Thanks also for the emotional support through it all, it really means a lot. Sincerely. So thank u thank u thank u. Was truly epic, best time our lives hands down and we have you to thank for that. Deborah was an absolute blessing throughout our wedding planning process. She brought so much calm, kindness, and warmth to every conversation, and always made us feel truly cared for!!!
Every detail was handled so that we were able to relax and fully enjoy our day. Our wedding turned out even more beautiful than we had imagined, and a big part of that is thanks to her gentle guidance and loving support.

I am so happy that I chose to work with Deborah and Valentin at Bella Vita Events for my wedding. I honestly can’t believe I ever considered going with a day-of coordinator, as having Deborah and her team involved from the start was one of the best decisions I made. What could have been a stressful and overwhelming process actually became enjoyable and fun thanks to their guidance and just overall great personalities!
Their attention to detail was exceptional. Every email, meeting, checklist was approached with such professionalism and care. They truly took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life in ways beyond our expectations. They thought of so many cute and memorable ideas (which I never would have come up with on my own) but they suggested them in such a no-pressure way that I always felt like the final decision was truly mine. There’s so much that goes into making a seamless wedding, and I felt at ease with them. I was able to be fully present on my wedding day, knowing everything was being handled with precision and grace. Truly cannot recommend them enough! -

The Dream Team
My name is Brooke, I am 25, and I just got married this past year in December (2024) in Santa Barbara. The Bela Vita Wedding Team (Deborah and V) just threw me the most incredible wedding--one that exceeded any dream or hope I ever had for my Wedding Day. Deborah and V are very gifted at casting vision and design, I didn't really know the exact design elements or food vendors that I wanted, and they somehow found the coolest one-of-a-kind pieces and caterers that I have ever experienced at a wedding. People still reach out to me months later saying, "That was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to!", "How did you find that DJ?!", "Who were the caterers? I want to use them for my daughter's wedding!". But even greater than these raving reviews of my wedding, the Bela Vita Team made my Wedding Day have zero stress as they took care of the flow of the party, the setup, the sound quality, the food timing, and guest management so that literally the only thing I had to worry about on the Day was writing good vows! Extraordinary Team, Would ABSOLUTELY Recommend!!
Deborah and Valentin from Bella Vita Events were such a crucial part of making our wedding day possible. From the moment we first met them to the day of our wedding, they were consistently on top of every detail we needed for our wedding day to be beautiful & successful. Due to a wildfire, our planned wedding venue had to be evacuated the day before our wedding. Deborah and Valentin were incredible quick to figure out alternatives that would fit our budget and vision. They worked tirelessly the night before our wedding, replanning everything to ensure that when we awoke, we had a beautiful and unforgettable wedding day. Without them, our wedding day would have had to be postponed. Auctioned Dinner Party
Wow, what a first-class team and outcome that exceeded my expectations again as I have used them prior. They continue to amaze me and define the difference between price and cost. The price was very reasonable, and a terrific deal based on the outcome which is ultimately the cost. The aggravation and long-term cost can be horribly high if things don't go well as you never get a second chance to meet much less exceed expectations. -

Amazing Wedding Planners/Coordinators
We had the most amazing experience with Bella Vita Events as our planners and coordinators for our gorgeous Westlake Village wedding! Deborah and Valentin were absolutely awesome - they were personable, communicative, made themselves available whenever we needed them, and were fun to work with!
They collaborated closely with us to craft the aesthetic vision for the event, and then meticulously executed every detail. They recommended and handled vendors, and scheduled and attended walkthroughs and mock-ups with us. They also helped organize our day-of timeline and all other details, providing insights along the way from their past knowledge and experiences. They went above and beyond, and our vision really came to life.
Then, they took care of all the logistics on the rehearsal evening and on the big day - from handling the master timeline, to checking on us and our wedding party to make sure we were on schedule and comfortable. We were able to enjoy and relax with our families and friends without having to worry about anything, which was priceless.
The result was the best day of our lives, without any stresses. We highly recommend Bella Vita Events, and hope to work with them again in the future! -

Beautiful and well executed
When I got engaged to my husband after a long relationship, I knew exactly what I wanted from the beginning: a beach wedding far away from home in Southern California. Initially, the interview process to find the right team to coordinate our wedding felt overwhelming, especially since I wasn't local. It was crucial for me to feel confident and not overly stressed while planning a wedding in just six months.

Deborah and her team (shout out to Valentin!!) made planning my daughter’s wedding an absolute dream! From our very first phone call to the last guest’s departure, working with this crew was just the best!! Their availability, professionalism, creativity and passion were just what we needed to create the perfect plan and ultimately the most beautiful wedding.
They have an amazing system in place that takes the guesswork out of the process. They make the timeline process so easy. Their vendor list is incredible and vetted for you so making choices is easy.
The day of the wedding, as the mother of the bride, I got to be a guest as they took care of everything! All of the hard work and planning paid off as it was the most surreal and amazing night. We can’t recommend Bella Vita enough! We just wish we could do it all again!! -

Deborah was there with us every step of the way - from touring the venue multiple times to making significant decisions like picking apart vendor contracts and budgets. Her team members were all extremely helpful and friendly on the wedding day and one of her primary staff members Valentin was also incredibly helpful in being a part of all the wedding planning. Deborah is so kind and understanding and was so attentive to our wedding. We got so incredibly lucky and would recommend her services to any new couple who need an event coordinator who is by your side starting your process all the way through wedding day! We had a blast and Bella Vita's vendor network was also incredible to provide us with a DJ, string trio, and stationer that made every detail of our wedding magical. Can't thank Bella Vita enough!!-

My dearest Deborah! What can I say about Deborah James, Event Visionary and CEO of Bella Vita Events?! Quite simply, I am amazed! Her poise, her grace, her organizational skills, her calm demeanor, her ability to lead, and most especially her ability to serve. She serves her clients, she serves her team, she serves the preferred vendors she collaborates with, and she definitely takes care of the bridal party!
As the mother of the bride, I was so grateful to have Deborah by my side as my soul sister and partner in crime. While it may be unusual for most planners to work with the parents of the bride rather than solely the bride and groom, Deborah immediately included us and listened to our thoughts, ideas, and yes, even rants! The result of her deference and ability to make sure everyone was on the same page from day 1 to wedding day is underscored by our beautiful memories, photographs and recall of the entire experience.
Deborah's team was superbly organized on Wedding day at our destination wedding. She was by my side from the moment we got up(even though the venue was quite large)till the moment we walked out the door for photos. In the interim, she was pinning girls outfits, ensuring her team (Noah and Julie and Valentin) was manning their stations and generally keeping us moving calmly.
Another notable mention on her team, Valentin Clerc, has been a wonderful liaison to our family throughout the process of planning this wedding! He even stopped by to pick up items from our house to take to the destination (Palm Springs) in his own car since our trunk space was so limited.
If I can sum up how amazing Deborah is, imagine having your event planner, who has her own multitude of duties, stop everything, and bring you a plate of food so you don't go hungry at your own event! I would recommend Deborah and her team a thousand times over! XOXO Tia -

Great experience! No stress on wedding day
We recently got married in August, and we were so glad that we hired Bella Vita Events with Deborah and Valentin to help us. They made the entire planning process for the wedding much easier by helping us select what vendors made sense based on getting to know our personalities, budget, etc. On the day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about any of the logistics, and they helped do all of the small things to make sure we were able to enjoy our time - their slogan is "be a guest at your own wedding", and they did a great job of helping us feel that way. -

The best party I ever hosted
Thank you Deborah and Valentin for helping me host the best party- and with only 3 weeks notice! My new family
These ladies know what they are doing, They helped me and gave vendors but let me have my vision. The most magical wedding everyone says but couldn't have done it without them. The easiest day, I wasn't nervous, I ate my food and more calm, but that's because I trusted in a great wedding planner. Last minute issues came up but Deborah walked me through it and reminded me of what's the most important. Our Perfect Day with BVE
When it comes to the most important day of your life, Deborah and Bella Vita Events should be the only wedding coordinators you need to consider. My wife and I hired them for our wedding and our day went flawless with Bella Vita on our side. From the day we hired them, through our wedding week/day, and post-wedding needs, Deborah and her team we're professional, hands on, and efficient.
Our coordination started with a detailed overview of our goals and interests, followed up with a in-depth wedding board outlining our color scheme, examples of our dream table settings and floral designs. Being able to find the vendors we needed from this point was fast and easy, because Deborah helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Additionally, we hired almost ever vendor her team recommended based on what we wanted.
Leading up to our wedding, her team proposed a well thought out wedding day schedule, broken down to as much as 5 minute increments. We knew that our day would go off without an issue because of how comfortable we were with the timeline. Her team was also in contact with all of our vendors that week to ensure each vendor knew when and where we needed them to arrive at our venue.
The day off, Deborah and team arrived on-site early and inspected every item that came in and out of the ceremony and inspection. Any issues related to linens and equipment was quickly resolved and replaced if needed. Needless to say we are extremely grateful for their passion to ensure our perfect moment.
After the wedding, I lost track of how many compliments we received from friends and family about how on point Bella Vita was. Our parents even agreed that Deborah was hands down the best hire we made. I would find it hard to believe that anyone would be able to provide the same level of service that Bella Vita Events provided to us.

Great people, great service!
We worked primarily with Deborah James and Sara Gonzalez. They were both extremely organized, reassuring, kind and professional. We hired them about 10 months before my daughters wedding and they kept us on a reasonable timeline throughout the whole process.
The day of the wedding, Deborah pulled me aside and told me that many of the staff at the venue were sent home due to Covid. Somehow, Debra handed the entire wedding single-handedly and even got her son working in the kitchen. None of the guests were aware how shortstaffed the venue was.
I’m not easily wowed but I have to say they went above and beyond. My niece is getting married next year and they have already booked Bella Vita Events. -

We love bella vita events!
The Bella Vita Events team is an absolute DREAM to work with!! My (now husband) and I contacted their team ~9 months before our desired date. Within a few hours, the team got back to us to set up a phone call and beyond that, Deborah James & Sara Gonzalez spent hours over the next few days working with us on our wedding budget (our biggest priority and guiding light) ... this was all before we even booked them or signed a contract (even though it was an obvious yes from the moment we first spoke)!! And that was just the beginning - the amount of heart, love and care this team put into planning our wedding was so incredibly special and appreciated. Always available to answer questions, walk us through the budget, recommend the best vendors, hold our hands in the process, and all while having fun doing so!
The process was incredible. This team is so transparent, careful, diligent and kind. The icing on the cake was our special day. The Bella Vita Events team truly brought our fairytale wedding to life without a hitch. Every moment of the day was handled with such care. My husband and I were left feeling calm, present and in great hands. We were able to truly be guests at our own event (thrown in my in-law's backyard).

Wedding of My Dreams!
I’ve been meaning to write this for a long time but felt I wouldn’t be able to truly encapsulate everything the team at Bella Vita Events did for me. When I first started wedding planning, I knew I would need someone I could completely trust in order to be stress free on my wedding day. I am very Type A, I have folders and planners to organize everything in my life, and I have a need to stress over the details. Deborah and her team assured me from the very first meeting that their goal was to let me be a guest at my wedding and they delivered. They came prepared and ready to answer any question within the first hour of talking! I knew then that I could trust them. Deborah, Sara, and Mindy were very communicative and organized. I never had to lose sleep over “staying on top” of my wedding planning because I knew they were there to reassure me. The team knew what aspects of the wedding I hadn’t thought through, they made suggestions when I needed, and guided me throughout the wedding planning process to make sure I was ENJOYING it! At their suggestion we had a floral mock-up and had the best time! Bella Vita was everything I needed to help my wedding dreams come true. Our wedding turned out better than I ever imagined thanks to Bella Vita
When I got engaged I was so overwhelmed by the amount of resources, lists and articles telling me everything I needed to do and when. So we started looking for a wedding planner, but as we interviewed, none really seemed to understand our “vision”. We wanted something unique, modern and edgy. Then we found BVE and after the first phone call I knew they were the ones. The team of women at BVE really listened to us and help pull the vision out of us and made it a reality. Amazing Team!
Working with Bella Vita Events turned out to be the best investment we made for our daughter’s wedding. From the very beginning of the wedding process, Deborah, Sara, and Mindy were responsive, humble, kind, understanding, and professional.
Our daughter got married on February 26, 2022 with 200 guests in Malibu. The wedding ceremony, cocktail and reception sites were beautiful. There were numerous challenges and obstacles to get through, and BVE got in front of the problems and handled them before any big issues arrived which ultimately created a very smooth experience. BVE were very responsive and patient in dealing with every aspect of coordination.

It's all about the day of.........
We selected our wedding planners, Bella Vita Events, based on a recommendation from Ojai Valley Inn and a telephone interview by us. We got comfortable moving forward but you really never know what you are getting until the event unfolds. I'm the FOB, a new acronym for me, and wanted to give our daughter the best wedding possible within our budget. We were originally scheduled for Nov 2020 but due to Covid wound up postponing in June to Nov 2021. Our situation was further complicated by the fact that the venue was in CA, we live in CT, the bride and groom live in MA. We quickly realized what professionals Deborah and her team were as we were forced to deal with Covid and the postponement. While we were freaking out they were calm, methodical, prioritizing tasks and keeping us on task and in the loop and most importantly calm. What was potentially a disaster was resolved by them without much effort on our part or any compromises. Many others I know did not have this experience. It was amazing how clear thinking they were, planning with contingencies, confirming vendors all within an environment with so many unknowns. Postponing was no simple task, coordinating dates with photographer, venue, band, flowers, makeup and so on, but they were focused and developed a clear plan to get the wedding we wanted. I do need to emphasize that while they will give you lots of suggestions and recommendations based on their experience, they really are committed to making it the wedding the you want and not some standard wedding or the wedding they think you should have. The guidance, planning timeline, rental selections, and everything else was prioritized and precisely executed and we were in a good position coming into the event. This was a wedding weekend with multiple events and so so many details to be decided and decisions to be made right down to which way the dinner plate should be facing when served. Most places would just do what they do, but Bella Vita was always intent on planning the wedding we wanted. This was incredibly obvious on the wedding weekend. There was so many final details planned down to the minute which made everything look so effortless and natural. The example that stands out for me was Sarah, at the reception, standing next to me whispered 12 minutes to your speech, she came back a few minutes later and said 3 minutes to your speech, and in exactly 3 minutes she said "you're on." What I didn't realize because it seemed to flow naturally was that the timeline was coordinated with the kitchen, band and others I'm sure to coordinate band breaks, food service, the rest of the night and other details. It is counterintuitive but the things with the most planning are the ones that come off as unplanned and natural which was our goal from the beginning. I could go on with countless examples of their flawless execution and real time coordinating of countless details. This is where we were blown away by Deborah and her team. The entire weekend was like this, everything was perfectly executed, we would not have changed a thing. I couldn't recommend them more.-

Too Amazing for Words
Bella Vita Events was a DREAM to work with and was the best money we spent throughout our entire wedding process. From the very beginning of the wedding process, Deborah, Mindy, and Sara were responsive, humble, kind, understanding, and professional. However, as COVID-19 progressed, they became more than wedding planners they became friends. They could read my facial cues, understood my style and worked with my vendors to advocate for what I truly envisioned. They were budget conscious for me as well. In every decision I made, I felt like they put themselves in my shoes and guided me throughout the process. I was so lucky to find them!
My husband I got married on 11.14.2020- right in the middle of the pandemic. We had originally planned to get married in Joshua Tree with over 150 guests. For the safety and health of ourselves and loved ones we decided to change the venue and guest count to my childhood home's backyard and to a guest count of 50 people socially distanced in family pods.
The day was no other word but MAGICAL. They completely transformed the backyard space to my complete vision. We eliminated a cocktail hour and a dinner to keep it safe and really made it a personalized event. As guests came in, they were temperature checked and safely escorted to their seats where they remained for the event.
The event was solely focused on our marriage which made it even more special than I ever could have imagined. Bella Vita helped us design and come up with a take-home package for our guests which they received after the sparkler exit. It consisted of a bottle of chianti, freshly baked bread, an antipasto, cheeses, and lasagna so that each guest could go home and enjoy an Italian feast once they arrived home. Each guest also got an individual cake that they could enjoy for dessert along with freshly-made cannolis! My guests RAVED about the baskets and enjoyed being able to have a safe family dinner at home.
The day was amazing and could not have happened or come to life without Bella Vita Events. We picked the full planning package and would recommend them to everyone to use. In a time of so much uncertainty they made sure they were updating me with what was allowed vs what was not due to the pandemic guidelines and also hopped on many skype calls to ensure everything was on track and ready to go for the big day!

Highly Recommend! Wedding Planner Turned into Micro Wedding Planner AND Wedding planner. 2 for 1!
If you are looking for a good quality / humble wedding or party planner, these are your ladies! Deborah and her team were very professional and fabulous to work with during the midst of COVID-19.
My husband and I were scheduled to have our 150 guest count wedding early August 2020. Bella Vita was on it from the very beginning when COVID broke in the US, they emailed us weekly updates on the virus and were very supportive and helpful in finding us an alternative wedding venue to host our Mini-Mony / Micro Wedding of 16 people, on our original wedding date. The Micro wedding was just as beautiful as a big wedding, Deborah and her team had everything finalized and in place to make it everything I could have imaged, but it turned out to be much more !
Not only were Bella Vita able to help us on our micro wedding but they are also still going to be helping us with our new Big wedding date in 2021! We cannot wait to do this lovely process all over again! It is so special and we could not imagine doing it with anyone else!

Deborah and Sara were AMAZING. I had the wedding of my dreams this past October. My mom and I were debating using a wedding planner or not but I'm so glad we did. As I live in San Francisco (wedding was in Santa Monica), Deborah was crucial to the planning and took care of so many little details. Especially as things got hectic before the wedding, she was calm, kind, and on top of everything. We had 2 guests show up who weren't invited- her team took care of it instantly with a smile and I never had to worry about it. My Mom and I had so much fun wedding planning because Deborah took the stress out. She also had some great creative ideas. Only downside is their team sends a lot of emails, but the end result was incredible :) -

Words cannot express my gratitude for Deborah and Sara ~ My Power Team! Working with them was one of the best wedding planning decisions my husband and I made.
After our initial meeting with Deborah and Sara, we knew we were in good hands! They made us feel comfortable as they were professional, organized and highly knowledgeable in their field. Trust me, they are the best!! Be a Guest at your Event!
I do not have enough good words to say about Deborah, Mindy, Sara, and the rest of the Bella Vita team.
When we sat down for our initial interview, Deborah and Mindy told us that their mission was to make us guests at our event. Without a doubt, they delivered. Our wedding day was smooth and flawless; if there was a problem, I know nothing of it! I had no hesitations handing over the reins, having full faith that my team knew me, my style, and could make decisions on my behalf.
From the beginning, Deborah assured both me and my mom with her organized and professional manner. She walked us through each step of the planning process and assisted in budgeting, contracts, vendor recommendations, and the overall design of our event.
During our wedding, Deborah was by my side, making sure we got ready in a timely manner, while creating small moments for me to take a breath and drink some water. Meanwhile, Sara manned the groomsmen ensuring that everyone was where they needed to be. Each team member kept us cool, calm, and constantly updated. I never felt stressed.
During all of this. They managed to execute food service, keep the event on schedule, and collect and number each of our gifts- ending with packing everything up and loading it into a designated car to be taken home.
Bella Vita helped us have the perfect wedding day, and I am so thankful to have had them with me. Thank you ladies!

Amazing Wedding Day
The Bella Vita team is amazing. They were helpful both before and during the wedding day. Deborah, Mindy, and Sara helped us design our wedding and achieve the vision we had for the wedding day, and also helped coordinate our vendors in the background leading up to the big day. What we found most helpful was the day of coordination - the wedding wouldn't have run so smoothly without the Bella Vita team's help. They were extremely professional with the guests, and made sure everything was running on time and we were where we needed to be, while making us feel at ease. It is apparent that they are veterans in the industry and are experts at what they do. They really made us feel like we were guests at our own wedding. Thank you Bella Vita team! -

AMAZING experience with Bella Vita!
We had the most beautiful and breathtaking destination wedding in Malibu and can't thank the Bella Vita team enough for their flawless execution on the day of! Everything went unbelievably smoothly and we did not have to stress one single bit. Credit definitely goes to Deborah, Mindy and Sara who were all James Bond-esque commandos in the background, and we're sure, much like the duck swimming, although everything was serene on the surface, they must have had to furiously peddle under the water on our special day! We really did feel like guests at our own wedding, knowing that we can trust them to make sound decisions on our behalf and take care of everything behind the scenes.
Before we went with Bella Vita, we actually interviewed quite the number of wedding planners. As we live in Chicago, it was critical for us to have a wedding planner on the ground. Through our initial phone call, Deborah was able to win us over with her professionalism, well-informed advice and expertise in the field. From the very beginning, Deborah and Mindy worked out our budget, recommended vendors, answered lots of our specific questions and always made great suggestions to point us in the right direction.
During the whole process of working with them for over a year, they sent holiday cards and follow-up emails to keep us in check. They also graciously helped us receive our packages and took a note of everything delivered -- and trust me, this was a tumultuous task as we did not get any rentals for wedding stationary.
Leading up to the wedding day, they helped us with drafting diagrams, seating plans, guest directory, pre-ceremony / ceremony / reception timelines and even personally handled all the vendor blasts / calls. This was all on top of answering my constant non-stop bridezilla queries.
On the wedding day, I was so blessed that these planners took such great care of me. I could not eat a single bite due to the hectic schedules but Deborah made sure my bridesmaids and I had food in the changing room, helped me get change into my reception dress and gave us frequent updates so that we knew how much time we had left before we had to get going. I was so impressed at how she handled everything with calmness and composure!
Thanks to the Bella Vita team's hard work, many of our guests said that this was one of the most beautiful and incredibly moving weddings they've ever attended. All this could not have happened without their help. I cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you a million times over Deborah, Mindy and Sara!! -

It’s hard to know where to begin when reviewing the Bella Vita Girls – Deborah and Mindy! From our first meeting I knew I was in good hands. They are both so professional, organized and thoughtful it feels like you are planning your wedding with a best friend you’ve known for years.
They went above and beyond to make sure my fiancé and I felt totally comfortable with our wedding planning process and schedule for the day of. At the wedding everything went so smoothly – you really do feel like a guest at your own event – and they were always close by should we need anything. They handled every situation with grace and I knew that not only were my guests well taken care of but the venue staff and all of my vendors had an organized vision of the entire evening thanks to their forethought and scheduling!
I could not imagine my wedding day without Deborah and Mindy from putting my entire family and wedding party at ease to going over all my storage bins of decorations and keepsakes before and after the big day to make sure everything was put away and accounted for. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bella Vita – you will not regret booking them for your big day or event!

For our wedding, one of our best decisions was to worked with Bella Vita events. Deborah James is the consummate professional in wedding planning. She has years of experience in this field and performs wedding planning like an art form, with an unparalleled passion like she is performing God's work. She is easy and fun to work with, very responsive, and extremely reliable.
Deborah and Mindy have their system down like clockwork -- they are extremely proactive and prepared. They have their worksheets, their timelines, and they know exactly what to anticipate and they preclude problems by being extremely proactive in their planning with you. I really appreciate this operational efficiency as there are so many little wedding problems that can pop-up and make you stress-out. Deborah relieves you of all this stress and all these problems on the most important, most happy of all your days. I am sure there were at least 20 problems she solved during our wedding that I didn't even know about.
In meeting Deborah, we had a strong feeling that we could trust her and have very little to worry about during our wedding day. We were absolutely right. Thank you Deborah, a million and one times, for really taking care of us during our special day. I also really appreciated the fact that she stayed until the very end of our reception, to make sure that we didn't forget about any of the wedding books and items that we had brought for decorations.

Working with Bella Vita Events was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made.
Deborah and Mindy are professional, accommodating, genuine, and truly on top of the wedding planning game. After I picked out my venue, I needed a month of/day of coordinator. Bella Vita Events was recommended as they have worked with my venue numerous times.
After my initial meeting with Deborah and Mindy, I immediately knew I was in good hands. I had met with other coordinators, but Bella Vita Events really stood out to me. I could tell that they're not only professional, but have years of experience.
As I had moved to the West Coast about a year before my wedding, I didn't really know how to find all of the vendors. Bella Vita was very helpful. They helped me make decisions and secure superb vendors. Also they were patient and accommodating. I am very indecisive and because I felt like I had a lot of time until my wedding, I did lag here and there. Regardless of that, Mindy and Deborah made sure I was on track and was very understanding.
Bella Vita made the planning process much easier. But I do have to note, the best part about Bella Vita was the day of! Deborah and team were so professional. Thanks to them, my wedding went smoothly with almost no hiccups. Whether it's something small or big, there will be things that don't go as planned. For me? Everything went smoothly because I had Deborah and the team with me. I did not have to stress about anything other than truly enjoying the best day of my life.

These ladies pulled off the most amazing wedding!!
I was married on 9/6/15 at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. I had a very large wedding with about 210 guests. Given that I work long hours I knew I needed a full service wedding planner. The moment I met Deborah and Mindy they immediately made me feel a sense of calm. In our first meeting they presented an outline with the various tasks, time frames, budgets ect, it made the whole situation seem more manageable. Throughout the process, we nailed down a “vision” which they executed beyond anything we could have imagined. Given that I had never planned any event before I relied heavily on their knowledge, especially when it came to the details. On the day of the wedding everyone, including myself, was absolutely blown away!
In regards to the weekend of my wedding, it was 100% stress free. Myself, my husband, our parents, were all able to fully enjoy every moment. Every little detail was taken care of by the ladies of Bella Vita.
To this day every guest in attendance has told me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to in their lives. Deborah and Mindy definitely exceeded expectations in all aspects of this process!!!

After my now husband and I found and booked the perfect venue for our Nov. 2015 wedding, we realized we were in over our heads as we tried to figure out exactly what to do next, when to do it, and how to get it done. With a recommendation from our venue coordinator (Bel-Air Bay Club), I contacted Bella Vita Events. Mindy responded very quickly and we set up a meeting with her and Deborah. That first meeting made me feel so much more at ease as they showed us how our proposed budget would/should break down line by line, explained how much different vendors and things typically cost, and came up with a proposal for us to work with them throughout our entire wedding planning process that was very reasonable when compared with other event planners I had contacted. After that meeting, we hired them, and I am SO grateful we did!
Deborah and Mindy helped us every step of the way, from creating task lists to let us know what we needed to be working on and when, recommending vendors, assisting in design, creating detailed timelines for the day of our event, and having several in-person sessions with us to make sure we were all on the same page.
As helpful and valuable as these ladies were in the months leading up to our wedding, they truly shined like stars at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. We did not so much as lift a finger in the couple of weeks leading up to our wedding. That was all left to Deb and Mindy, who took the stress away from us--confirming all vendors, arranging detailed timelines for our wedding party and vendors, coordinating ALL details, etc. At the rehearsal, they sprang into full-blown Wedding Planner Goddess action, calmly but assertively showing the wedding party exactly what to do, answering questions, and leaving zero room for error. On the day of, they were the behind-the-scenes heroines. I felt ZERO stress on my wedding day--enjoying it as if I were a guest--exactly how it should be for anyone on their wedding day! -

We have been fortunate enough to have had Deborah and Mindy coordinate two family weddings now. My sister’s at Lake Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks and mine this past August 2015 at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California. Deborah is hands down the BEST wedding planner on the planet! The whole process of planning our wedding was a dream because of Deborah and Mindy. It is not easy to put into words how phenomenal they are at what they do but they created the most spectacular and magical wedding day for my husband and I. Bella Vita Events was the most amazing wedding planner I could ever imagine. Deborah and Mindy made our wedding run so smoothly from start to finish! I really can't say enough good things about them. If there were any snafus during the wedding day, I didn't know about it.
We used their partial planning services, essentially we found our own vendors for most things and got recommendations on a few extraneous things, like my hair and makeup. They worked with us to keep us on track in the months prior to the wedding. Then about a month or so before they took over as the primary contact with our vendors and worked with us to finalize a very detailed timeline for the wedding day. They were onsite when the first vendors arrived and handled everything until the reception was done.
Deborah and Mindy are so organized, armed with their clipboards the day of. However, before that they followed up with me so frequently to keep me on task that I ended up feeling guilty for not replying back to them as quickly as I should. They both have done so many weddings to perfection that they have it down to a science. After the wedding, many people, and especially my dad, commented numerous times about how organized and efficient they were. Mindy was waiting in the wings with a glass of champagne during the toasts. They wrangled us for the big events like parent dances, cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss. They packed the gifts and remaining decoration items in the vehicles we designated beforehand. We just enjoyed the day and the party and depended on Deborah and Mindy to tell us where to be. I had complete confidence in them both!
I cannot recommend them enough. They are a joy to work with and will make any bride's day perfect and effortless. The cost of a great coordinator if worth every penny. I could not have done it without them!

Working with Deborah and Valentin at Bella Vita was the single best decision we made while planning our wedding. From day one, they brought a rare mix of calm, focus/precision, creativity, and total dedication. What they pulled off for our 200-guest “California Coastal” wedding at Calamigos Ranch in the mountains of Malibu was nothing short of extraordinary.
Flawless isn’t a strong enough word because it implies a flaw would have been possible. From the layout to the flow, the band to the officiant and live performance, every single element felt effortless because behind the scenes, Deborah and Valentin were orchestrating every detail with incredible foresight and care.
One of the many ways they went above and beyond? Helping us lock down an after-party venue before it had even opened to the public. Thanks to their local connections and creative problem-solving, we were able to tour and book a brand new space that turned out to be the perfect end to the perfect night.
They handled vendor coordination with military-grade precision — making sure timelines were tight, contractual requirements were met, and everyone was fully in sync. Their planning calendar kept us on track without ever feeling overwhelmed, and their taste level and attention to detail gave us full confidence from start to finish.
On our wedding day, we didn’t have to think about a single logistical thing. We were able to be present, soak it all in, and truly enjoy the moment because Deborah and Valentin had already thought of everything.
