Fantastic Service!

I selected this caterer since it was one of our preapproved vendor options. The tasting blew me away and Brian was super personable, which helped a ton. The Voodoo Shrimp and Filet Mignot in particular made the decision all too easy.
For the day of, I was worried I missed out on all our appetizers since post-ceremony pictures took longer than expected. But, BRIE went out of the way and prepared an appetizer plate just for me and my bride! And, food was also quick and at our table! All the information leading up to the event was easy to talk through and the day of execution was spot on. We would highly recommend BRIE to anyone looking for a solid dependable caterer.

Bella Room

I hosted a retirement party at the Bella Room because of it's location. It was a great venue and very spacious. The food was great as well as the service. Everyone that attended enjoyed themselves and I couldn't have asked for anything more! I would definitely go back to the Bella Room for my next party!

I would absolutely recommend Brie Cater! We used them for our December wedding at Lowertown Event Center and were thrilled with our experience with them. They were familiar with LEC as they have catered there many times, which was a relief that I didn't have to worry about them familiarizing themselves with the venue. Brian and Christina were so responsive and had wonderful customer service throughout my entire wedding planning process (which was a solid year and a half)! When we had the tasting with Brian, it made us even more excited to work with Brie! The food was delicious and the presentation was absolutely beautiful! I also loved how flexible he was with making changes to the food/presentation to make it coincide with my Winter wedding! The food at the wedding was just as good as in the tasting and all of our guests were raving on how delicious everything was (and how beautiful the plates were). The staff was amazing and so attentive to all my guests! The price worked well with my budget and the value that you get for what you pay is well worth it! Highly, highly recommend! We are so happy we hired Brie for our wedding - the entire team did such an amazing job! From the tasting to the day of, they had such great attention to detail and it was clear they had a passion for food. All night, our guests kept coming up to us and saying how incredible the food was, and how it was the best wedding food they'd ever eaten. Brie truly left our guests feeling happy and helped make our day absolutely perfect. Highly recommend - great price, excellent food and service!

We were SO pleased with Brie Catering. Their food was absolutely phenomenal and from the initial tasting to the wedding night, we could not be happier with the service. They are worth every penny and I would highly recommend them to any couple getting married!

Brian and his team were fantastic and the food was DELICIOUS. We have received so many compliments from guests of our 4/15/17 wedding about how good the food was! It's clear the crew from Brie works with integrity and takes pride in their process from prep to final presentation. All of the staff at our wedding were amazing! Our daughter Paige was married November 19, 2016 at the Semple Mansion. We were informed by Semple that they had "preferred caterers " we felt that the options given would be appropriate for our price point and guest count. We made tasting appointments at 3 caterers. Brie being the first visit, we met Brian at his Fridley location with the bride/ groom and both parents. He and his staff out did themselves, we were "stuffed" and loved every item served, it was a difficult decision to pick 3 favorites. We talked at length with Brian( who is the most genuine guy around) even told us late night pizza through Pizza Luce was a better value than them making sliders for us. We left knowing we would book with Brie and canceled our others tastings. No need to waste time when we loved everything he had. Fast forward to wedding day...of course the food was great in a small group, but what about 185? Well everyone was amazed by the appetizer selection (crab cakes, potstickers ,Brie encroute) and the dinners we chose. He lightly blackened the salmon per my request, filets on the medium rare side and the chicken wild rice...just perfection. We are continually getting comments about the food at the wedding , wondering who catered and we must have spent a fortune. Brie is extremely reasonable with the highest quality food and service above and beyond..he will go the extra step to make you happy. We are done with weddings but will definitely keep Brian and Brie on the top of our list for any other catered events.

BRIE IS THE BEST!!! They recently catered our wedding at the Landmark Center. It was a 300 guest plated. We were very nervous picking out a caterer for this big task at hand. They executed the food and service perfectly and the food was even better at our wedding. We had the Tuxedo Chicken, Baseball Sirloin and the Dijon Crusted Walleye. A big thank you to Brian and his team for making our day a huge success!!

BRIE was awesome!!! Our wedding food was cooked to perfection with their staff finishing on-site. The service was very professional and friendly, they looked like they loved their job. Brian is the owner and responsible for sales and he responded immediately up to our wedding day and was there to make sure things went as planned. I would recommend BRIE to any one looking for a great caterer for their wedding!!

We used BRIE to cater our wedding of 140 people and were so happy with the choice we made. Our guests were all very impressed with the food and service. They were so easy to work with and did an amazing job. They took care of everything the day of and made sure that it all went smoothly. If you have not found your caterer...STOP right here! Look no further. Brie was absolutely outstanding! It is so hard to put into words how incredible it was to work with Brie and have them cater our wedding reception. The food was outstanding. Everything tasted as amazing at our reception at it did at our tasting. I highly recommend the Tuxedo chicken or Filet to anyone! Our guests raved about the food all night long and how great it was. They served full sized portions. The presentation of the meals was impeccable. So gourmet. The staff was so friendly, so helpful, so nice. They were extremely accommodating and did everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed before hand and the day of.They exceeded our expectations in every way. Brie is the best in the business and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I live in New York and we were planning a wedding in Minnesota-so the planning process was crazy and we had to coordinate our meetings and appointments when we flew into Minnesota. One weekend my husband and I flew in with his mother and we met with my parents (who live in Minnesota) for two scheduled tastings. I had done a ton of research before making these appointments knowing we had limited time. The first caterer we went to-I literally walked out in tears. The food was cold and did not taste good at all (and I am NOT a picky eater!). Then we walked into Brie for a tasting-and they had us the minute we walked in! The table was set up professionally and the owner was there to great us. Each plate that was brought out was brought out by the chef that explained each item on the plate and not only tasted AMAZING but looked beautiful! Presentation was just as important as taste-even for a tasting! My family and I figured if Brie worked this hard for a tasting, the wedding would be only better! Brie was wonderful during the planning process with my many emails and changing numbers of guests. We ordered WAY more appetizers than we need, simply because we couldn't decide and every guest commented on how amazing the food was. Every bite and every plate was perfection-I did not hear one complaint. Their service was even more amazing-moving around the room and serving my guests. I was concerned I wouldn't get to taste the amazing food at the wedding, but the services made sure my husband and I had a plate full of appetizers and that we got to taste everything. I was so happy with Brie and I would strongly recommend them to anyone planning an event!

I don't even know where to start with Brie. They have made the entire catering experience exceptionally easy for me. Their prices are reasonable, and listed directly on their website with their menu. They were extremely responsive in answering all of my questions. The food sounded amazing and we found out, during our complimentary tasting, that it didn't just live up to the yummy descriptions - it far surpassed it. Their professionalism during the tasting was out of this world. We even got to visit with the head chef while we were there - he is very talented yet humble about what he does. He clearly loves his profession and it shows in every detail.

We recently used Brie Cater for our wedding at the James J Hill Reference Library and they were phenomenal! Their service was outstanding from the beginning. They gave us a wonderful tasting, were accommodating with our menu, and extremely courteous to us and our guests. Everyone raved about the food and it was much higher quality than some much more expensive vendors we also did tastings with. I would recommend them to anyone!

Planning,details,execution were all done to our satisfaction! My daughter was married in the Dominican and the reception was held at a later date in St.Paul.She wanted a Dominican feel/flavor to the food and Brian delivered! DELICIOUS,AUTHENTIC, foods were enjoyed by all! He even carved a huge fruit boat with the Dominican flag! The guests are still talking about the mouthwatering pulled pork! The servers were very professional and also butler passed yummy appetizers while guests arrived. The tables were set with lovely china and glassware and linens.Everything met my daughter and new husbands expectations! So that made me happy too!

We had excellent service, the food was terrific and the presentation was superb. They had the entire place set up and cleared up very quickly and carefully. Everyone commented on the great appetizers and great entrees. Working with their staff was truly a great experience from Brian to Justin to Ray and the entire staff that handled our wedding. Lettuce Cater catered our wedding on Sept. 7, 2013 at Minnetonka Orchards. We didn't want a formal, plated, sit down dinner, so Brian put together an amazing buffet of heavy appetizers for us. The food was absolutely delicious, and I got nothing but compliments on it all night long. I've continued to hear from people, almost 2 weeks later, who say things like "best food at a wedding, ever!" I think people are generally sick of the typical wedding fare of beef or chicken with some sad little veggies and mashed potatoes on the side. This buffet was spectacular, and had something for everyone! People had their plates piled high - at one point I was worried we would run out of food, but Brian assured me he had brought enough, and I think people definitely got their fill!

A couple of guest favorites were the Voodoo Shrimp (curry dusted and wrapped in bacon - my friends and coworkers will not stop talking about them!), and the beef tenderloin skewers with mushrooms and gorgonzola sauce.

It was a really hot day out at the orchard and Brian and his staff did everything they could to make our guests feel comfortable and enjoy themselves.

In addition, my sister is a pastry chef and made six (!) cakes for the reception. Brian graciously offered to store and transport the cakes for us at no extra charge. This was huge because my sister was also my only bridesmaid, and had a lot of other stuff going on that day. I have no idea how we would have gotten the cakes out there if he hadn't been wiling to do this. His staff was amazing at cutting all 6 cakes quickly and efficiently, even as the vultures were diving in to try all 6 flavors!

I'm an event planner for my job, so I know how important it is to have food your guests will love, as well as impeccable service. Lettuce Cater provided both of these things well above and beyond what I expected. Thank you so much for making our wedding so memorable for us and our guests!

I can't say enough good things about Lettuce Cater! By far the best wedding food I have ever had and they were an absolute joy to work with! It is very obvious the owner, Brian and his staff love what they do and will work with you to create a menu that is perfect for your event! Brian and his team worked with my fiance and I during a very difficult time in our lives. We were originially scheduled to get married in September of 2013 but our wedding got drastically pushed up to Feb. 2013 after my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Brian and his team worked with our limited budget and created a menu that was amazing! To this day I still get guests that comment on how fantastic the food was on our wedding day! They went above and beyond to make our wedding meal special and we will forever be grateful to them! Brian and his team are by far the best in the business! I will refer Lettuce Cater to anyone and everyone!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lettuce Cater, right from the start they were fantastic. They were the only caterer that offered a tasting at the first meeting with them, and Brian talked directly with us to make sure we received everything we wanted. They were above and beyond any other company we talked to, including items for no extra cost (plates, silverware, coffee and water tables, cake cutting) and most other companies charge you extra for those. The food options are incredibly broad so we had a lot to choose from. They were the only caterer to actually respect and stay within our budget we set. From the beginning Lettuce Cater made the planning a positive and fun experience rather than a stressful one.

We chose a buffet style dinner, and it was gorgeous. The salad was out on a huge wooden block like a cutting board, it looked so elegant and new. I received many comments that night on how delicious the food was and heard later we had one guest go up 4 times for more :). We had the chicken wrapped wild rice and roasted vegetables, bread, a spinach strawberry salad, lettuce wraps passed during cocktail hour, a water station, coffee, and they cut and put out our cake for us as well. We had 5 staff there (for 100 people) who were fantastic, they bussed all the tables and refilled everything but did so silently so we hardly noticed them moving around.

Lettuce arrived 3 hrs before the wedding to set up; they set the tables and folded all the napkins for us with the linens we provided. Lettuce Cater did better than I could have even imagined and from the start we knew exactly what the plan was. It was everything a bride could want - they took control and said here's what we'll do for you, didn't need any direction from me, which left me open to have fun and relax. If I could I would rate their value higher than 5 because they gave us more than anyone else could have AND stayed within our budget. Thank you so much Lettuce Cater!

We are The Wedding Guys - Matthew Trettel and Bruce Vassar! We had the distinct honor of working with Lettuce Cater in creating a wedding dinner for "Foodies"! Do you know how hard it is to create a menu for a bride who works with one of America's Top Chef on The Food Network? Well Brian and the staff at Lettuce Cater amazed everyone. The taste was out of this world and the stylish ways in which it was all displayed was masterful! Our first time we worked with Brian he did an 8 course dinner with wine pairings for each course for 150 people including 3,000 pieces of china, crystal and flatware! Our guests raved about our food.
We met Jules as our tasting, and things went so smoothly and so delicious. She worked with us within our budget because it was just as important to her as it was to us to be working together.
It was really important to my husband that guests enjoyed EVERYTHING about our wedding. Not "oh it was beautiful but the food was cold" - we wanted to hear no "buts"!
Our venue was at The Great Hall so we had 6 different places to choose from, and we did our share of tastings. Lettuce exceeded all expectations. From walking in to the door at our tasting - it was lovely! And they gave us PLENTY of food to taste. They didnt skimp on anything, we had two bags of things to take home!
As the wedding got closer, it was great to work with Kris. Her emails were precise and quick, she was always there to get a hold of for any questions and help. Thats important!
The chicken wild rice and pork pancetta still have us talking. Husband and i even joke about going back for a tasting just as a date so we can eat their food again!!!

First off...YUM!!!!!! The food was delicious! I was looking around our reception at the end of dinner and lets just say, most of our guests were members of the "clean plate club!"

Our guests raved. It tastes and looks like restaurant quality food. You would never know that the Lettuce Cater staff was preparing a meal for 250 people simultaneously. The food speaks for itself and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious.

Jules made the whole planning process seamless. Even our tasting was beautiful! She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our choices. She even let us take a little "doggy bag" home to my dad who was unable to make the tasting with us. He really appreciated tasting the food and like my husband and I, had a very hard time narrowing down our choices!

They were even accommodating to a few of our guest with special dietary needs. They were able to make meals gluten free with no problem or hesitation.

The wait staff was also wonderful. At the beginning of the night, the lead server personally came over and introduced herself. We had a plated dinner and it went seamlessly. They even plated and put out our late night snack. We ordered gourmet pizzas--not from lettuce, simply because of our venue limitations--but they still served it with a smile and made sure everyone was taken care of!

I don't know how, but I will find a way to work with Lettuce again, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect caterer. Because Lettuce is it!

Lettuce Cater did a wonderful job and everybody commented on how good the food was. Matt and I unfortuantely were so busy talking, we didn’t get to eat much, but for what we hear, the food was great. We did get some of the sandwich leftovers, there were a lot of those! The staff was super friendly and easy to work with. I loved Lettuce Cater! Jules is amazing. Everytime I emailed her she got back to me within a hour no matter what time it was. I am getting tons of compliments on how good the food was. It is so not true about the bride not eating dinner because I ate my entire meal!

We received more compliments that the food at our wedding was the best food anyone has ever had at a wedding reception. Brian and I picked a more non-traditional fare of a family-style dinner consisting of pulled pork, roasted chicken, cashew coleslaw, cheesy cornbread, and a roasted veggie platter. And, there was no shortage of accolades given for the most terrific appetizers of balsamic, mozzarella, tomato bruschetta and deep fried mash potato bites.

Lettuce Cater & Chef Christian provided an unmatched and beautifully-presented meal. And, the fact that our friends and family are a bunch of foodies, and the meal wowed us and everyone else is probably the best compliment a caterer could receive! I also appreciated Dawn, the head server, taking such good care of Brian and I during the wedding. She made sure we had appetizers at our table and all of our needs were met. The extra special attention was a nice treat. Without question, Lettuce Cater truly enhanced our wedding experience and that of our guests. There is no doubt that in looking back at our wedding today and when we do in the future, that this is most definitely a highlight of the day.

Jules at Lettuce Cater was so helpful through out the planning process. We tried a few different appetizer items and a couple different food options and each item was delicious. We had so many compliments on the filet mignon and how tender it was. The staff was so good to us and got us anything we needed. The chef personally brought out mine and my husbands food and I loved it! I would highly recommend Lettuce Cater, I did not run into any issues working with them and Jules was awesome!!

My groom and I chose Lettuce Catering because we were blown away at our tasting--the food was high-end restaurant quality! I was a little nervous because I heard a lot of brides say that many times the quality of food at the tasting is better than the reception but that was definitely not the case with Lettuce. Our reception food was as good if not better than the tasting. We had a buffet with a chicken dish and beef carved by a chef. I loved the carving station because it added a little touch of class and also made the meat so fresh. We had several guests tell us our food was the best wedding food they had ever had!

We wanted ice cream served for dessert rather than cake and Lettuce was able to serve that at no additional cost. They are so accommodating!

Our head server, Dawn, greeted my groom and I before the dinner and let us know we could come to her for anything throughout the night, which I really appreciated. All of the servers were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Jules is phenomenal. Anytime I had questions leading up to the day, she responded promptly, which is so important for a stressed out bride trying to keep track of dozens of vendors and hundreds of details. I am just amazed at how organized she is despite all of the events they have going on!

We couldn't have been more happy with everything!!

We loved working with Lettuce Cater. They provided outstanding service and professionalism, and I was very lucky that we found them as a cater for our wedding! We received numerous compliments on the food at our wedding. You can't beat them for the quality and price compared to other caters!

The entire Lettuce Cater crew were so helpful and prompt with any questions and made our wedding planning so easy! Thank you for making our wedding so memborable and working to ensure everything ran smoothly! We can't say enough how happy we were with Lettuce Cater and would definitely use them again in the future (and have recommended them to our friends)!

We were so happy that we chose Brie to cater our brunch reception. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We approached them with our brunch wishes, and the tasting delivered on all levels. Brian and his crew were extremely creative in helping craft our buffet menu. They were more than accommodating regarding logistics for the day of as well as some special requests (e.g. having servers set out all desserts from another vendor). The day of service was phenomenal. All the servers were extremely friendly. Our guests were very impressed with their professionalism!

I was planning our wedding from 1,500 miles away so my husband and father-in-law went to all of the caterer tastings for us. From the start they were very impressed with the food at Lettuce Cater and thought it was delicious. Brian worked with us to make our food fit our budget better and allowed us to have all of the choices that we wanted. He was very helpful when it came to answering details about our wedding. On the night of our wedding we had ‘butler passed h’orderves’ and the artichoke parm puffs in particular received great reviews. For dessert I wanted to do plain cheesecake with a toppings bar and Lettuce was great at working with me to accommodate this. The food ended up being great and we received multiple compliments on it from our guests!

In September we had a backyard wedding with tents, linens, dance floor and all. It was a magical day and we are so very grateful for Lettuce Cater and the fact they played a major part in pulling off an amazing evening. We have received many compliments on the food from our guests. The catering staff were wonderful and professional. Brian the chef was amazing and very flexible.

Lettuce Cater was very easy to work with and the prices were very reasonable--especially considering the high quality of food. In fact, we were worried that the taste testing meal was too good to be true. Jules and Brian presented many tasty options that made it hard to decide on which we liked the best. I was sad to hear the Jules left the company a few months before our wedding. Especially after building a relationship over many phone and email conversations. However, when Kris took Jules place I was blown away by how sweet she was. She was responsive and helpful with all the many questions that came along the way.

I only have positive things to say about our experience with Lettuce Cater. I feel that we don't have to promote Lettuce Cater to family and friends because the food and service spoke for itself on our wedding day. For all the local brides-to-be out there: I strongly recommend Lettuce Cater!

Brian from Brie is great to work with for your wedding! He provided a full menu tasting for us to sample his dishes and helped us create the perfect menu for our guests. The food was fantastic and we had many compliments from our guests. Some of the dishes came out a little slower than predicted and maybe were a little cooler, but still tasted great nonetheless. He worked with our vendor well and his servers were all very professional and kind. I definitely recommend Brie Catering!

the only downfall was their schedule for tastings. otherwise, we LOVE lettuce! and EVERYONE raved about our food. we had a lady come up who ordered the vegetarian even, she mentioned its usually the same everywhere and "meh" so she never finishes it. but she ate her entire plate and so did the entire table. my husband and i often wish they did evening tastings just so we could make a date out of it and go back! the pork pancetta and stuffed chicken - TO DIE FOR!

Brian and his team did an amazing job catering our 6/17/17 wedding. Brian was very responsive, from holding our personal tasting up until the day of the wedding. On the day of, the food was prepared just as expected, warm, and great presentation. Service was timely as well. Appreciated the nice touch of saving a few appetizers for the bride and groom, as we missed cocktail hour.

Lettuce Cater treated us like royalty from day one. We found them at a wedding fair where they were cooking on the spot rather than serving premade items. Free taste testing with full size meals and lots of appetizers. They accommodated all of our requests and modifications, including making some meals gluten free. They did switch staff in the middle of us contacting them, but they handled everything very well. Everyone told us they loved all the food. I just wish we could have packed up the extra meals to take home with us!

BRIE Cater has very good food. Brian was really flexible to our needs (vegan, gluten free, as well as regular buffet) at the buffet and offered us discounts on appetizers, cake cutting fees, linens, and linen napkins. He is not the best at responding clearly to emails, so that aspect was frustrating at times. However, many guests have raved about the food (we had the pecan walleye and tuxedo chicken -- highly recommend) and have told us it was one of the best wedding meals they've ever had! We'd absolutely recommend BRIE to others, just be aware you may need to spell out details for Brian if you have specific requests. Questions are always quickly addressed, but not always directly answered. The end product was amazing though, and they even had specific appetizer trays for bride and groom and each set of parents.

We highly recommend booking Brie for wedding catering--their food was by far the best we tried at any of our tastings, and the presentation is great as well. Their team of servers were extremely friendly and polite, and many of our guests had rave reviews of both the appetizers and entrees. Our only note of caution would be that since it is a small, family-owned business, it takes quite a bit of patience and follow-up to communicate questions, requests, etc. via email. However, it is totally worth it, as the food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable.

Found this caterer after our other one fell threw. At first thought he would be the most affordable but by the end of it was surprised how much it ended up being. We had good luck with responsiveness on Brians end but was frustrated the day of our event. The caterers were 30 min late and arrived while all of our guests were arriving. Also we noticed that there was no banquet table linens. The food (we hear) was amazing! So much so I don't quite get how we ran out of food when our day of guest list was smaller than our quoted guest list... Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to eat until it was cold due to talking to guests but the chips I ate off of our taco bar were to die for!

The experience my husband and I had with Lettuce Cater for our wedding was a bit of a mixed bag. Our initial meeting/tasting was with their event coordinator, Kris, who was absolutely phenomenal to work with. When I told her we wanted to do a cheese fondue for our cocktail hour but needed to be able to do a tasting of it before the wedding, she was ecstatic and told me everything I needed to get to her in order to make it happen at our tasting. She made everything so easy for us to understand and was great at coordinating all of the little details that come up when you do catering for a wedding. At the end of May, I tried to contact Kris again to get started on last details for the wedding. A week later, I got a response from the owner instead. For the next month, I went back and forth with him via email, asking the same questions multiple times to get an answer. I also had to go through and get everything I'd gotten changed about our order with Kris changed again, as none of those changes had been saved. I was really worried leading up to the day that things would go smoothly because of how disorganized the owner seemed to be.

The day of went fairly smoothly. All of the food (including the fondue!) was amazing. The timing for the fondue was great, but the timing for dinner hadn't been properly communicated to the staff that night. The head waitress was rather rude, especially to my maid of honor who took over getting things organized for us. Everything worked out in the end, but it was a bit of a push to get it there.

Overall, I still recommend Lettuce. Their food is amazing, their pricing is very reasonable, they do great work on custom requests, and are nice people. If you do go with them, STAY ON TOP OF THE DETAILS. Tell multiple people all of the details multiple times. Bring a printed seating chart and time schedule the day of. They're really very nice people who make very good food; they're just a little disorganized.

Overall there are better caterers for the price out there

We chose BRIE cater because it was moderately priced and on our recommended catering list for our venue. We found Christina, the contact person for BRIE, to be frustrating to work with as she often didn't reply to emails promptly and would only address parts emails. On the day of, she was very short with my husband when he asked a question about a table that was left out during set up. The food was overall a let down and very different from our tasting. The appetizers were much smaller than the ones presented at the tasting and the salads were small plates of greens with a few strawberries and dressing. Our biggest issue was the beef. We chose the steak and had asked in our consultation how this would be prepared. We were reassured that it would be served medium rare. The majority of the steaks that arrived where almost raw, rare at best. Mine was almost purple and actually still cold at the center. I learned after the wedding that the waitstaff didn't check in at many of the tables after the food was served so there was no opportunity to send the steaks back. Many the guests either cut around their steaks or gave them to a family member who was going to bring them home for his dogs. When we contacted BRIE about this after the wedding, they were defensive, claiming that not many people had sent their steak back and they didn't see a lot of leftovers when clearing plates. Although, in my opinion, it's hard to send something back when no one checks in on your guests and there will be no leftovers if they're in a bag for the dogs. BRIE offered to send a gift card for their restaurant to compensate for my steak as the bride, but they never followed through in sending one.

Our tastings were excellent. The food was amazing. That's all that we were happy with. The first time we met with the owner/head chef of Lettuce we thought he was great. Personable & friendly. We started the contract process. In truth, we had to draw up almost 20 contracts because whatever we agreed to verbally never happened to make it into the contract. We never really did get what we were asking for in our contract. I signed the contract noting that my signature was NOT valid unless the following was part of the contract: We would only pay per final head count on X day. The estimated number that we told him when first meeting him was the number he put on the contract and I wanted to be extra sure that we would only really be paying per person attending. He emailed that the contract was in place and I should send a deposit. We did. He did not send us a copy of the contract with his signature. After the contract was signed he and the RSVP cards were out with detailed menu choices (per the contract) the owner tried to change our menu up (cheaper food). 6 days before our reception, I called with our final head count. He did not answer his phone so I left a VM with the final count. He refused this entire business process to give us his cell phone number. He did not call for a couple days, so I tracked him down (this was not the first time that I asked for a response and had to track him down) he emailed me to tell me that he was upping the price per head because our numbers went down! I was furious but in a tough spot. I searched for a new caterer, but with 4 days to go, I could not find one. I was willing to give up our entire contract because of the owner/ head chef of Lettuce Cater. The stress that he caused us was great and not something anyone should have to deal with. I did not ask anything of him that was unreasonable for our wedding. We did end up paying his made up price and not the contract price. After the ceremony he gave us a cell phone to pay the bill.
