I cannot recommend Becky Fowler and Amy enough! They were both wonderful to work with throughout the entire alterations process for my wedding dress.
I first went in a few months before my wedding for alterations. My dress was fairly intricate, with multiple layers, different fabrics, and a lot of detail, and they handled it beautifully. They hemmed it perfectly, took in the bodice, and created a bustle that combined an American bustle with a few French bustle points since my dress was fairly heavy. Everything looked amazing!
What impressed me most was Becky’s incredible customer service. About two weeks before my wedding, I realized I had lost a little weight and my dress needed additional adjustments. I called Becky on a day the shop was closed, and she immediately took my call. She dropped what she was doing, got me in right away, and had my dress altered and ready in just one day. During an already stressful time leading up to a wedding, that level of care meant so much to me!
Becky and Amy are incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and truly care about their brides. I felt completely confident trusting them with my dress from start to finish. My dress fit perfectly on my wedding day, and I am so grateful for their expertise and kindness throughout the process.
Thank you, Becky and Amy, for helping make my wedding dress absolutely perfect! I highly recommend them to any bride looking for exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and someone who genuinely cares about making your dress fit and feel perfect for your big day!

I absolutely loved my experience with Becky Fowlers Bridal! She and her daughter are some of the kindest women I have ever met. They are both so so knowledgeable about the wedding industry, dresses, styles, etc. and this helped so much more than just getting my dress altered. They were patient, ultimate hype-women, fairly priced, and provided quick turn-around. They were willing to take time for every detail and make sure it was perfect before all was said and done. Would 1000% recommend these incredible women and trust them with your bridal gown for your big day! -

After spending so much on my wedding gown, I was trying my hardest to do some research and find a reasonable but skilled alterations specialist. I came across Becky Fowler and saw all of the raving reviews. I called and they were very professional, flexible, and responsive. Becky and her daughter Amy work out of their home and take cash only. They were both so warm, kind and supportive. I needed a hem, American bustle, and to close the slit a little on my A-Line dress—Becky had it ready within 2 weeks for only $400! I was blown away by the quality of her work! I felt like they also really cared about my experience and ensuring I felt satisfied with my gown. I couldn’t recommend Becky enough! She’s a pro and made the wedding prep process even better :) -

Becky and her daughter Amy are truly THE BEST! They were very accommodating with my crazy work hours. Not only did they complete my alterations promptly, but they fit me in soon after to adjust one small detail that was bothering me. I also brought in my rehearsal dinner dress to be hemmed, and Becky told me it was actually perfect as is! Becky and Amy are both outstanding ladies who will go above and beyond to ensure you are happy with their work. They are also the absolute sweetest and treated me like family! -

Absolutely thrilled with how my dress turned out! My dress was several sizes too big, and I wanted a couple of different alterations and Becky did all of the alterations in two weeks! Incredibly reasonably priced. I’ll be returning!

I found Becky via forums discussing the best places to go for bridal dress alterations in DFW and could not be more pleased with my decision to contact her. I spoke with her daughter on the phone, Amy, who works with her; she was super sweet in answering my questions and scheduling me for a fitting. Becky works out of her home, which she has set up with soothing and elegant fitting areas. It was a wonderful experience meeting with her for the first time; she is so open and welcoming and completely puts you at ease, which was priceless given the very unfamiliar first-time experience of wedding dress fitting! I only needed a few fairly simple alterations; she shortened straps, extended the length of the underskirt, shortened the front hem, and sewed in bra cups. Her pricing was very fair and certainly far less than I would have paid going somewhere else; just be aware she only accepts cash... no checks/Venmo/Zelle etc. In addition, I got to hear all about her long career as a healthcare professional and transition to dress alterations, as well as learn about her lovely family. She finished my alterations in two weeks, and I got to meet Amy when I came back to pick up the dress. I would wholeheartedly recommend any future bride to consider engaging their services for wedding dress alterations! -

Becky was amazing and did great work at a reasonable price. She made me practice walking in my dress with my heels to determine if it needed hemmed and offered additional recommendations. Would highly recommend her. -

Becky did such an amazing job on my wedding dress! She worked very quickly but with great results. After my bridal portraits, I decided I needed to take my dress in a bit, and she was able to do it the same day I took it back to her! It fit like a glove, and she never made me feel I needed to get more done than I did. Plus, she and her daughter are the sweetest! I so enjoyed my conversations with her. Such a sweet woman! -
Laura Sent on 08/16/2018Becky is so sweet and wonderful! She altered both my wedding dress and a dress for Rome to meet the Pope. The Pope dress had a QUICK turn around and she managed to meet it!! I can attest to her bustles as we 2 stepped at my wedding with all kinds of turns and dips and the dress being stepped on and it held up the whole night! Pics of alterations below of the Rome dress-shortened sleeves, de-poofed, shortened, and waist let out. She managed to keep the lace on the ends of the dress and is very affordable!

She is prompt, courteous, and experienced. I don't think she advertises, but I was referred to her by my coordinator at Event Elements. Becky knows what she's doing! -

Becky did such fantastic work and the dress fit me like a glove. Her turnaround time was great as well and she is very responsive. I highly recommend her! -

Becky works out of her home and is the sweetest woman you'll ever meet. She's been doing alterations since the early 80's. When my mom and I got there she ran through how the appointment was going to go. She taught me the best way to get into my dress and walked my mom through how to tie up my corset on my dress. She was great with pointers. She made suggestions for alterations that we hadn't thought of. When I got my dress it was flawless and the alterations she made were perfect. Her prices were also VERY realistic and much cheaper than I anticipated.
I would recommend her to everyone. She might be my favorite vendor thus far! -

She hemmed my dress, sewed in a belt and added two different bustles to my dress for $200. She also taught me how to properly walk in my dress, lace it up and gave me a great recommendation for a cleaning service for after. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in the DFW area to use her services. She cares about the quality of work and the bride! -

She was so honest, it turned out that my dress was a perfect fit & required no alterations except adding in the bustle. Others could have slightly tweaked the length and charged me for it and I wouldn't have known any better. She is wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great value and someone to tell you how amazing your dress it. Thanks Becky!! -

Carol Sent on 04/22/2012Not only was Mrs. Becky able to get the alterations down in two weeks at HALF the cost of everyone else I was quoted, but I never touched my dress all night. I was purchased off the rack, two sizes too big and it looks like it was a custom made dress after Mrs. Becky was done. Also - she fixed a bridesmaid's dress for me in just days. She can do anything and offered great advice about walking in the dress (you're like an 18 Wheeler, wide turns and no backing up) and to hold your flowers down the aisle to your side, so your groom can see the Full Dress. She's the best! -

My daughter is petite and the dress did not come in a petite size so Becky had to take it apart to shorten the waist and give it petite proportions. She did a lovely job at a very reasonable price, far less than the original bridal shop would have charged. -

I had bought a sample dress that was two sizes too big and extremely concerned about sizing down the fully beaded bodice. Becky did an amazing job on the alterations and bustle work. She altered three dresses for me for my wedding weekend and I think the total cost is about the same as altering one dress at a bridal salon. -

My dress fit like a glove and she made the most beautiful bustle for it. She also taught me how to walk in my dress and my MOH how to tie up the corset and bustle for me. The care in her brides and her work really shows. -

Having found her information on another wedding website's forumn as one of the most sought-after alterations people in DFW, I called her prior to my dress coming in and set up an appointment. She is such a professional and knows so much about dresses for weddings that everything out of her mouth was a welcome instruction or opinion. Things like looking up as I walked to not make the dress droop and make myself trip, or which earrings to wear in addition to what you'd expect like how to work the bustle she put in.... Becky is a fountain of information I was glad to find!
