The absolute perfect spot for your wedding ceremony
My husband and I got married here in April 2023 and we still talk about how beautiful it was. Pictures online do not do it justice and I don’t think we could have picked a better venue. We barely even decorated because the venue is so beautiful on its own. It’s so affordable and much cheaper than venues that aren’t even half as pretty. Everyone on the staff that we met was so kind and professional and made sure everything was perfect so our ceremony could go smoothly. I will always recommend the Baughman Center to anyone looking to get married in the state of FL.

Great place for a small wedding!!
The Baughman Center was exactly what I imagined my wedding chapel would be. It's breathtaking! The staff is friendly and communicative, and the price wasnt too bad either. They were easy to work with and offered a ton of assistance. I highly recommend!

Ideal, Intimate Ceremony Venue
The day my husband and I first walked past the Baughman Center on campus, we knew we wanted to get married there. The venue is stunning and intimate for a wedding of under 100 people. By far the prettiest ceremony venue in Gainesville and Alachua County if you want a modern wedding. The staff is very accommodating as well. It was everything we wanted for our wedding day!

Picturesque Reception Location
The Baughman Center is the most beautiful reception location. The team was so responsive and helpful through the entire process. I could not have chosen a prettier location to say our 'I Dos' and would recommend to anyone! All of our guests absolutely loved the venue. The views are almost prettier than the venue--ALMOST!

Stunning Venue
The Baughman Center was the perfect venue for my wedding ceremony. My fiance and I were from different faith backgrounds and wanted a place that felt spiritual, but not overly religious, and the Baughman Center was ideal for us. The wonderful staff, Stephanie Comstock included, were warm and friendly and helped us to customize every detail to make sure our day was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it. We recieved nothing but wonderful comments from all our family and friends on how beautiful the ceremony was. Its also a great option for those who want to be able to see nature and have some beautiful views while also ensuring that your ceremony won't be moved due to rain. Its a perfect "indoor that feels like it could be outdoor" venue due to the large windows overlooking Lake Alice on UF Campus. I'm definitely biased, but I strongly believe this is the best ceremony venue in Gainesville!

Gorgeous Ceremony Venue
The Baughman Center was the perfect place for our spring wedding. The staff were accommodating to all of our requests and so responsive. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the building, particularly the backdrop of Lake Alice beyond the front windows. We decided against decor in the venue because the Baughman Center is so beautiful on its own. The area around the chapel also made for the most gorgeous and most Florida photos. We couldn't imagine having our wedding day any other place.

Beautiful location, easy to plan
We were planning on doing a courthouse wedding and at the last minute decided to upgrade to something nicer for our immediate family. I got very lucky and was able to book the Baughman Center two weeks out. The staff was very informative and helped me get everything situated. Plus the location is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend to anyone and especially to people with ties to Gainesville or UF

My Wedding
The Baughman Center's staff were very professional and accommodated multiple changes due to having a wedding during the pandemic. The venue is very clean inside and beautiful. The grounds are kept well creating the perfect space for outdoor pictures.

Beautiful chapel with a breathtaking view!
We couldn't have picked a better venue to get married in Gainesville. The Baughman Center is a stunning (secular) chapel on UF campus with a view of Lake Alice that is the perfect, awe-inspiring backdrop behind the altar where the ceremony takes place. The chapel and the property left an impression on all of our family and friends who gave us plenty of compliments on our choice of venue. Above all, Zakiya and the Baughman Center team are amazingly helpful and supportive throughout the whole planning process.

Pandemic wedding
We were married the day the pandemic truly hit. Everything started closing down but the baughman helped us navigate through it. Even though we had many cancellations, we had been planning our wedding for a year and kept on pushing. They were so accommodating and helpful through it all. It’s such a beautiful place and everyone that did come loved it! Highly recommend.

The most beautiful venue for a wedding!
The Baughman Center is the most beautiful venue for a wedding not only in Gainesville but in general!! The architecture and recently renovated grounds are fantastic and our photographer was thrilled with the lighting and options for pictures. We opted for a micro-wedding and transmitted the wedding for the rest of the guests and some of them asked us if the background behind the window was virtual, that's how beautiful the setting is!
The team is so professional and easy to work with. We are especially grateful for Zakiya, who made us feel completely at ease since we had a million questions being from out of town. I recommend you book it ASAP since it is a highly coveted venue.

The Baughman Was Great
We were so hapy that we were able to have our wedding ceremony at the Baughman. With the pandemic, we weren't sure if we'd be able to, but it ended up working out. All our guests wore masks (they turned out to be good party favors!) and spaced themselves out. Zakiya was great and very helpful as we went through all of this. The building was beautiful and we got lots of great photos. It was also very resonably priced if you're on a budget. I would definitely recommend it!

Amazing venue and superb service
We absolutely loved our wedding ceremony at the Baughman Center. Studying architecture at UF it has always been a dream to get married somewhere as beautiful, peaceful and home-like as Gainesville. The venue was so picturesque and created a vibe that we will remember for a lifetime. Breathtaking, Intimate Venue in Gainesville
I fell in love with this place the first time I saw it on a Google search. The pictures almost don't even do it justice. Seating is kind of tight, but it was just perfect for our 100 guests to get to know each other. They have a piano just inside the door, and it's actually linked to a sound system so you can plug in your laptop/tablet. The acoustics are *superb*, no microphones or soundbars needed. Our ceremony was at 4 pm on a September Saturday, and the sun was at such an angle that everything had a soft glow. There is a huge, noisy ac vent on the floor of the stage, but we turned it off during the ceremony and it stayed nice and cool inside, even with all the windows around. I will say one thing I wish I hadn't done was try to decorate the aisle. I wanted a greenery vine just to have "something" there, but honestly it's really not necessary. Especially if you're like me and you have a 4-hoop petticoat on underneath your dress. The aisle was just wide enough for us to walk side-by-side, but my dress was so huge that it kept trying to eat the vine. Save your $100 on the greenery and put it towards having an extra hour at the Baughman Center for pics. We had 30 minutes after the ceremony to get pics before we had to be 100% out of there, and I wish now that I had booked more time. The inside and outside are just so fantastic! The ready room is attached to the office next to the Baughman, and it's fine for getting dressed if that's all you're doing in it. Ah, and correspondence... Zakyia is on top of her game!! She is considerate, thorough, and an excellent correspondent. She was always willing to answer any questions I had and very quick to follow up whenever I reached out. Zakiya is definitely dedicated to making sure your day is magical, and we're very glad to have worked with her. If you're on the fence about choosing the Baughman Center, just go take a visit (on the weekdays before 5!) and you will be convinced. 10/10 would get married here again!!!

Magical beauty of nature & sunlight for our ring ceremony!
Breathtaking views of nature, glorious natural sunlight streaming through the lovely architectural design of the windows, made this wedding venue magical. The staff were kind, patient, and always helpful! Everything was planned carefully with the staff over the months before the wedding and all was in perfect place when we arrived that day. The prettiest venue in Gainesville - and the nicest
Zakiya was my contact person at the Baughman, and she was such a pleasure to work with. Quick, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had our spot booked within ten minutes of speaking to her, and she did her diligence so I knew there wouldn't be a game day or large event at UF to compete with. She also let my stepdad and I try out the auxiliary cord jack and practice walking down the aisle, which was appreciated. I have to say, it was the cheapest part of the wedding (only about $600) and my favorite part, the space is THAT beautiful. I used to play piano in there as an undergraduate, so it had sentimental value to Max and I to get married there, and we are so glad our dream became a reality. The Baughman Center is so serene and naturally beautiful, and needed little adornment. We just added a candelabra from Hobby Lobby and rigged it up with fake LED candles to put on the center stage. It was just large enough that it fit 100 people and several photographers in it, but didn't feel claustrophobic. The acoustics are amazing and no microphones were needed, though we did use an amp for the aisle songs. The weather was perfect, so all the glass windows gave lovely, cloudy views of Lake Alice, and the annex nearby was big enough to hold my entire bridal party (12+) comfortably. The staffers put parking signs out on the morning of our event, and also informed us about when our time was up for photography in the building, all while watching our purses and allowing us to linger on the grounds. It's a welcoming place that will linger in Max and I's hearts forever.

We had our wedding here in October 2019, and it was spectacular! We didn’t have time to coordinate decorations, but it absolutely did not need to have any. Our guests commented for weeks afterward on its natural beauty! The Baughman Center staff, especially Zakiya, are great - friendly and prompt! This was a perfect space.

The Baughman Center was the perfect place for our ceremony. My husband and I were both graduates of UF, so it was great to be able to be married on campus. The staff was excellent! They were very quick to respond with any questions I had about the day, and helped in every way they could. The only downside is the awkwardness of the ramp up to the stage area and lack of space for the wedding party. We had to get a bit creative with arranging people and figuring out how we should get to where our officiant was. Even with that, our wedding went smoothly and the venue was just gorgeous!

Perfect ceremony venue in Gainesville (Even Florida)
Baughman center is definitely one of the most beautiful ceremony venues in Gainesville. It has the beauty of architecture and the beauty of nature(Lake Alice) as well!! The staff are friendly and helpful. They provided us a lot of helpful rentals like chairs for musician, podium and easel (free of charge). What's more, the rental price is completely fair and transparent. Strongly recommend!!

Baughman Wedding
The Baughman Center is a great location to have your ceremony if you are in Gainesvillen FL. The staff was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. They always answered in a timely manner. They also made sure we had everything we needed for the big day. The location itself is so beautiful. It is the perfect place to have a wedding.

Wonderful!
I've been wanting to get married at the Baughman Center ever since I was a freshman in college (about 13 years ago). I finally got my wish, and it was EVERYTHING I could have hoped for. Not only is the venue beautiful, but those who run everything behind the scenes in the office were phenomenal. One happy bride right here!

A Perfect Location
The Baughman Center was the perfect place for an intimate wedding. There is not a more beautiful place in Gainesville; the inside of the chapel is so full of light that you feel you are outside!

Our wedding ceremony site
We used the Baughman center for our wedding ceremony. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything went as expected except for the parking. =( The parking lot was full and not from my guest, but from the flag football tournament that was going on across the street. Besides that hiccup the staff at the Baughman center are very attentive and help in anyway they can. The dressing room was PERFECT for me and my bridesmaids. Couldn't have pictured a more perfect day. =D

Our wedding guests cannot stop commenting about how perfect and beautiful the Baughman Center was for our ceremony! Basically, they learned what we already knew about this awesome place. Working with Zakiya and team leading up to the big day was super simple and they were always ready to help us however they could. They're even the ones who recommended the pianist we used (who was also awesome).
As a same-sex couple, we struggled mightily before the wedding to find reviews of venues from other same-sex couples, so I also want to take a moment to say how this fact didn't even faze them one bit. Ever. The Baughman Center team was awesome from start to finish, and I can't recommend them and this venue highly enough.

We are so pleased with the Buaghman Center. This was the first vendor that we contacted and reserved. Planning this wedding from out of state was made easier by the Baughman Center staff. Zakiya was so accommodating for our initial tour and remained very involved throughout our planning process. On the day of, the venue was clean and just as we had pictured for our big day. We were happy to see that the parking lot, bridge walkway, etc all had signs stating there was a private event which discouraged others from coming on the property. Book the Baughman Center with confidence!

Unrivaled beauty, the Baughman Center is without an equal. Our wedding guests raved about the views! Minimal effort is needed to setup the space, and your ceremony pictures are a masterpiece from every camera angle. Not to mention the staff is polite and responsive with requests. From the first time I contacted the staff at the Baughman center more than a year in advance of our wedding all the way up to our big day they were amazing! Any question I had including measurements of the aisle for flower petals were answered quickly and accommodating changes was a breeze. The venue itself is beautiful as is which helped with decorating expenses. We ran over slightly on our time with both the rehearsal and wedding but the staff were patient and understanding. The architecture inside the chapel is captivating and the lake view from the windows is unrivaled.Hands down, THE venue for a dream come true wedding in Gainesville !

The Baughman Center was the perfect place for our Gainesville wedding in April. With unpredictable weather, it was so nice not having to worry about rain or wind and the gorgeous windows still made it feel like a wedding set in nature. The staff at the Baughman Center were immensely helpful and the price is right for a 2-3 hour space rental. Family and friends loved the building and the setting against Lake Alice. We felt like it was the best way to have a little Gator Pride during our wedding. Highly recommend!!

I can't say enough about how perfect the Baughman Center was for our wedding. It was everything we imagined and more - my Seminole husband even loved it ;) Our pictures our out of this world and people can't believe this gem exists on UF's campus. The Baughman Center staff was extremely helpful (I was planning my wedding from Dallas, TX) and they made the planning process easy and organized. We had around 90 guests and everyone fit perfectly/comfortably. I would highly recommend the Baughman Center for a wedding ceremony.

The Baughman Center is by far the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. Our ceremony was perfect, we did not even have to do any florals or anything, the venue is that gorgeous on it's own. All staff members were friendly and more than helpful. My only reservation was on the night of our rehearsal we had the space booked and when we showed up the entire parking lot was full and there were high-schoolers everywhere surrounding the property taking prom pictures. Even though the staff put out event signs asking them not to go beyond certain points, they still did. I know that is totally outside of the staff's control, and they did their best to walk around and ask them to move and to be courteous of our party.

Picture perfect venue to have our wedding ceremony at! Once we got engaged, we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. The architecture is so stunning and it looks like a fairytale inside. When the sun shines in the building over the lake, it looks magical. We visited several times before our wedding to look at the layout and decide how to walk up the stage. It worked out perfectly that they have a digital piano inside so our pianist could use that during the ceremony. Everyone that helped us throughout the planning process was great. Brianna was an absolute pleasure to work with – so helpful, answered all of our questions and gave us great tips for our ceremony. We felt comfortable planning our whole wedding ourselves but needed someone to help direct the bridal party for the entrances for the ceremony (without the added cost of hiring a day of coordinator). Brianna arranged to have student volunteers assist during our wedding rehearsal and for the day of the ceremony. This was a lifesaver and saved us hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. The student volunteers were amazing and so professional. It seemed like they had a lot of experience doing this previously, it really showed! Brianna also made sure that extra items we wanted for the ceremony (cocktail table and folding chairs) were setup inside. Everyone truly made it a wonderful and stress free experience. All of our guests commented that we chose such a beautiful venue for our ceremony. All of our pictures from the day look so dreamy!

This ceremony venue was absolutely stunning and required no additional decoration (we literally only had two stand alone flower arrangements which were medium in size). We got married at noon and the lighting was amazing. There is also a piano on site which we used and could be heard beautifully throughout the chapel. I received NONSTOP compliments on how pretty it was. This vendor was very accommodating as well and allowed me to have both of my dogs on site for the ceremony.

This is just the most beautiful space. Had no issues booking the space and working with the staff. It's a bit more expensive than other chapel/church rentals but this was the place to spend more. The ceremony was very important to me and just magical!

The Baughman Center is absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect location for our ceremony, especially with its backdrop and view of the lake. It photographed well too. Our out-of-town guests loved the location as well. During our wedding ceremony, guests told us that birds flew over the lake and could be seen in the background to make an unforgettable sight. You can't get that anywhere else! Asha and the staff at Baughman Center were also very helpful and accommodating.

This is easily one of the most beautiful venues in Gainesville, and we had a very positive experience holding our wedding here. We also booked an hour of rehearsal time, which was plenty of time for us. There are restrictions on decor which we were under, but I believe the policies are being modified going forward - however, we thought the center was beautiful without any changes.
One tip: if you want to have your wedding during football season, book as early as you can. They do not rent the center on home game days. We booked the moment the football schedule was available, in September of the previous year.

We picked the Baughman Center because of it's stunning beauty. The building itself is a little hard to find, it's tucked away behind some trees. Also, parking is down the street, there is only about 15 parking places right near the building. It can be a little confusing for guests to find where they are going. We let everyone know ahead of time about the parking. The Baughman Center also offered to put out "Event Parking" signs near the parking lot entrance so it was easier find. They were very helpful.

This venue is absolutely beautiful! It is very special for us because my husband and I both studied at UF, and met on UF campus.
It was very easy to work with the Baughman Center. They were very quick responding to emails and very helpful. They have detailed guidelines about using the Center posted on the website. However, if we had any additional questions they were very understanding and ready to help. The Center is rented in 2-hour increments. They provide parking, a changing room, and restrooms inside of the administrative building. One of the staff members was also available if we had any questions during the rental period.
The building is gorgeous inside and outside. The administration does not allow any decorations to be attached to the walls and interior of the Center. It is important to know for those who are planning a wedding, but I do not think that the building requires any additional decorations. We brought artificial flower garlands and heart-shaped balloons. This is it. And everybody absolutely loved the venue!
Please make sure that you study all guidelines before you make your decision about selecting this venue. For example, you cannot use real flowers for decorations and cannot serve food inside of the Center. These are some details that you need to be aware of and plan accordingly. We did an outside lunch with a restaurant catering, and were very happy.
This venue is a wonderful place for your wedding pictures. The interior is stunning, but you can also find a lot of nice picture-taking spots outside of the building, e.g., lake Alice, a small bridge, and the Center grounds. Overall, we are very happy with our venue, and highly recommend it to other couples.

There were so many unique locations for portraits and family photos on the property. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Since my husband and I are both UF alumni, the Baughman Center was an easy choice for our ceremony location. Even with the restrictions of the venue, the chapel is so architecturally stunning, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking beautiful Lake Alice, no extra decor is necessary. It also helped to keep our guest list under control. I highly recommend this venue!

The Baughman Center was the perfect location for our wedding. The beauty in the chapel as being UF graduates was the location being on Lake Alice which is well known in the hearts of Gator Grads. Another great aspect of the venue is there is no defined religious sect denoted to the chapel so that allows openness and freedom to your ceremony and the guest. My favorite part is the beautiful windows overlooking the lake and how much natural light it gives to the photographers and adds to the beauty of such a glorious day. Additionally if you are looking to having a wedding less than 100 people is allows for an intamite ceremony with the appearance of a full crowd and definately allows the bride to the center of attention walking down the grand center isle with light shinning in all around you. So Brides if your looking to be a Gator Bride, this is definately a top destination for your ceremony!

The staff at the Baughman Center are true professionals. Not only is the venue gorgeous, the staff makes everything very simple and straightforward. My wedding (despite the rain!) was beautiful. I highly recommend the Baughman Center!

The Baughman is an absolutely stunning venue with an intimate feel and for us, lots of sentimental value since we both met in Gainesville. Lake Alice as a backdrop is picturesque and sweet. We had the most perfect day!

This is arguably the most beautiful site to get married at in Gainesville. The windows overlook Lake Alice and it is surrounded by greenery. Liz was very helpful and the staff made sure that each cue was hit on time. I received many compliments about how romantic the wedding felt in there. I strongly recommend.

Wedding ceremony
I had an AMAZING ceremony at the Baughman Center. The main reason I chose it was its stunning architecture - I didn't even decorate it! It was the perfect size for our small wedding of around 50 people, and the photographer captured some amazing shots. The sound system was easy enough to work with for the music, and the space was small enough that we didn't need microphones. We were even able to live stream the wedding on the UF wifi with pretty decent quality! The ONE thing I wish was different is the stage/ramp area at the front. Due to the small wall separating the stage and the ramp, the bottom third or so of the body gets cut from the audience and photos. For reference, our photographer was Jimmy Ho.

The most beautiful venue
My son was married at The Baughman Center in August. The venue is breathtaking! A perfect space with the most beautiful backdrop! No decor necessary! Stephanie was responsive and so helpful with any questions, concerns and changes we needed to make along the way! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Space!
My wife and I had our wedding ceremony back in October '22 and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. The time of year was perfect and the lighting was spectacular. Stephanie was wonderful to work with and the chapel was also very clean. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering a smaller wedding ceremony!

Beautiful Venue for a Ceremony
The Baughman center was a beautiful venue for us. Booking it and communicating with the Baughman staff was simple and easy. We didn’t even have to set up any decorations as it was the best looking venue we found. There was some confusion leading up to our wedding though. We wanted to come the day before our wedding to check out the venue and the staff assured us that it would be unavailable but when we showed up there was a wedding going on. With that being said, we had unforgettable time and would highly recommend it!

Amazing Venue
Used this as the ceremony venue for our wedding and it is gorgeous! The staff were so responsive and friendly to work with and the facilities were impeccably clean. The parking situation isn't ideal but definitely worth the beautiful backdrop.

Beautiful, simple venue
The gorgeous landscape is the reason to book this venue for your ceremony. The manager is very clear about what the rental include (admin building, the Center itself, and signs that shoo non-guests away from the property). When we decided to move our reservation up by one hour, that change was easily made. Additionally, they were flexibile with allowing vendors to arrive ahead of time for preparations. Could not have asked for better service.

Wonderful experience. They don't make anything too difficult, if you're ok with rule following. If you want flower petals thrown, or any decor that will alter the building, pick something else. If you're like me and don't mind following rules and like to use the building as the decor itself, then this is the perfect venue.

The Beaumont center is beautiful. But there scheduling is a little tight. There was a wedding before us. And they ran over their time a little as all weddings do. I just saw it was a little awkward just standing there waiting for them to get done. We were supposed to be in at 11:30 and they where suppose to be leaving at 11:30. They gave no grace period. They only provide for the ceremony and the rehearsal as well.

My husband and I loved our wedding here; and our guests could not stop talking about what a beautiful view this venue provided for the event!
A couple things to know - they do not allow a lot of decorations in the building. No flowers other than those you carry, and nothing "affixed" to the building. In our view this was a benefit though. The building is beautiful on its own, and this is an incredible savings in your budget since you only need to worry about the reception, and the things you carry.
Additionally, you are only allowed 96 people in the building (per fire codes), so if you are trying to keep your wedding small: done.
A few other things:
- There is a piano.
- There are built in speakers and a cd player in the building.
- There is a ramp for the main walkway, so is fully handicapped accessible.
- The price is fairly inexpensive. You can rent it for 2 or more hours with or without a rehearsal, so there are some options to save money.
- The parking area is a little small, but guests can park in the unpaved grassy area also.
We got some beautiful pics here, and loved every second of our wedding. Dealing with the staff was extremely easy. They were very helpful! What a great day!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Baughman Center for my ceremony. They were helpful with local vendors and flexible for rehearsals, which was extremely helpful being from out of town. I only wished i booked more time for the pictures.

For the price it was great, beautiful inside and out. But the time frame isn’t really the best. Three hours to get set up , pictures and take down is pushing it. I would recommend it for a smaller wedding

Beautiful Location
I had my wedding ceremony here in January. My overall experience working with Baughman staff and using their venue was very pleasant, and I am glad that I used their venue for my special day.
The chapel itself is gorgeous, and makes for great interior and exterior photos. The ramp to get to the altar area is a bit odd (it wraps around from one side to the other), but this also offers some interesting photo opportunities.
The chapel has its own piano in the back that resonates beautifully. The Baughman staff provided a list of preferred musicians that was very helpful for planning.
I will note that the Baughman relies mostly on its natural acoustics to project sound throughout the chapel. Guests have no trouble hearing everything from the altar, but bridal party members within the altar space (especially if they are situated behind the couple) may have some difficulty hearing the officiant/bride/groom if they don't project.

Very pretty venue, and definitely worth the money. We wanted a place that was indoors and on the water and this was the perfect fit. I would recommend renting for longer than you think you will need so you have time to take pictures after the ceremony.

The Baughman Center is beautiful, that's why we used it. We fortunately got a day when there was no one else using it, but they are very strict as to what you can and cannot decorate with as well as time limits. We didn't run into any problems though because we decided we didn't need to decorate (which also saved us some money). The rental price is a little high, but what you save in not needing to buy decorations I think it's worth it. It's an amazing place to get married.
