Outstanding Food and Service

We had an intimate wedding at Bacchus – A Bartolotta Restaurant and had a great experience.

The planning team was excellent and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They were also very accommodating with allergies and dietary needs.

The service was great, the food was outstanding, and everything was timed perfectly. Our guests loved the conservatory space.

A snowstorm during our wedding made the setting even more beautiful. Highly recommend.

I recently hosted a bridal shower for my daughter-in-law at Bacchus. The setting was nothing short of stunning!!! The white framework, windows, terrace, and lakeshore views provided the perfect backdrop for white lace and vintage china inspired event. But for those of you who have seen the beautiful space, that should not come as a surprise! What you may be most interested in is the exceptional service offered by Bacchus. We brought a great deal of our own embellishments into the venue including antique china, lace table cloths, vintage furniture and even a custom bar! Tricia and her staff could not have been more accommodating. From the way in which they handled the vintage goods, to the care in placing everything as though it was lifted off of a Pinterest page, they were simply amazing. To top it off, I had the bar staff duplicate a specialty cocktail from one of my favorite establishments, and they did so to a "T!" And then, of course, there was the food. In typical Bartolotta's fashion, it was nothing short of spectacular. I cannot think of one thing that I would change about the entire event. I spent over a year planning and collecting vintage goods and china so that I could give the most beautiful bride a shower that she would never forget. Bacchus was able to bring my vision to reality, and did so with all of the care and attention to detail that you simply cannot put a price tag on! I would highly recommend Bacchus for any event!

We want to convey our appreciation for the great job Amy and the team did handling our rehearsal dinner last Friday evening. Also we want to thank you for making the outside courtyard available to us for the wedding ceremony rehearsal. The extra space was a great help in making the main event on Saturday a success. Everything was perfect.

Five stars isn't high enough to accurately reflect the quality of service we received during our recent reception at Bacchus. Working with Tricia and the rest of the staff was an absolute dream - they were friendly, responsive and such a help when we had random questions or requests. Our reception went off without a hitch and, thanks to the amazing staff, we felt like we really got to enjoy and experience our own reception. And the food! Oh, the food. From appetizers to late-night snacks, everything was phenomenal. We're so glad we picked Bacchus.

Bacchus and their staff made our big day absolutely perfect, and stress free. We held our both our ceremony and reception at Bacchus, and their event planner Tricia, made sure everything went off without a hitch. Bacchus provided us with accurate pricing and logistics, as well as recommended vendors well ahead of our big day, which allowed us to make the right decisions regarding our wedding. As the wedding approached they made sure we had everything we needed in place, all of our questions answered, and made sure they did everything they could to accommodate our requests.

For the actual event, the staff was amazing and professional, the food and drinks were phenomenal (the same quality you would get from the restaurant if you were there as a table of 2), and the setting was beautiful.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Bacchus and it was wonderful. The conservatory is a beautiful room, full of light in the summertime. The food was delicious (that is a given) and the staff were extremely professional and courteous. The wine list is also tremendous. We worked with Tricia to plan this event and she was always very responsive to our questions and was quick to help us.

Tricia was a DREAM to work with! She made the process of booking the space and all of the details so smooth and enjoyable. She is incredibly communicative and our questions were always warmly received/answered. We will always have fond memories of visiting the conservatory in Bacchus for the first time with Tricia and how special all of the wedding moments were from start to finish. Thank you, Tricia!!

Tricia and the staff at Bacchus made our day so very special! There were countless times they went above and beyond to ensure we and our guests had everything needed. From the gorgeous venue, to the phenomenal staff, Bacchus gave us the wedding we'd only dreamed of. They were very accommodating when we'd asked for a brunch reception, and the food exceeded every expectation. Of note, Tricia is an exceptional coordinator. We really felt she had our wishes and interests in mind, and she was terrific in meeting us whenever we felt the need to plan or discuss. It was a pleasure to experience the Bacchus' hospitality, and we felt proud to give our family and friends such a classy and eloquent reception!

I have been to hundreds of speical wine dinners and this one was in the top 5. Food, service , setting and wine ( although we brought that ) were all outstanding.

My daughter's wedding was just fabulous. It could not have been better because every thing was excellent. The meal was among the best ever (including NYC, Washington, DC or Italy). I want to thank Katie, Tricia and the entire staff. I was happy to pay this check. A totally excellent experience.

Not only is Bacchus a beautiful venue, but planning a wedding here was incredibly easy. Tricia and her team were very flexible and answered all of our questions, helping us to make decisions along the way. On the day of the event, the staff was gracious and attentive to wedding guests with special needs and made sure we had everything we wanted or needed. The room was gorgeous and service impeccable. The food was fantastic! Many of our guests mentioned that this was the best wedding food they'd ever had! I could not have asked for a better venue and wouldn't change a thing about the wedding.

This was an unbelievable event and perfect in every way. Our event was held in July and our guests still remark on how they thoroughly enjoyed the evening; from the extremely high quality of the food, the professionalism, responsiveness and positive attitudes of the wait staff, to the beautiful setting of the Observatory Room. Our Event Planner Tricia Smith was a joy to work with. She was open and responsive to our special requests, and the entire event came off perfectly. Despite this being being a major event, she made the planning of this event extremely easy for my wife and me. She was extremely professional and competent through the entire planning process, and consequently, we had high confidence that everything would be perfect, and it was! We could not imagine another restaurant in Milwaukee that could match the event that we had at Bacchus!

Tricia is outstanding to coordinate with and makes everything so easy. Food and beverage are consistently outstanding for discerning clientele. Tricia and her staff were wonderful to work with, both friendly and professional.

Tricia was excellent at suggestioning referrals for other vendors, such as florists etc. Tricia was always there when I needed here providing every little extra thing we might need to make our wedding the success it turned out to be!

Words could not express how perfect the Bacchus and its staff made our wedding day. The food was AMAZING (the dining room actually got quiet when the main course came out), the staff so polite and responsive and the space was gorgeous. We were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all in one location, making our day seamless. Tricia, the catering director, guided us gently throughout the process and was very conscious of our budget and vision. We are so eager to have our anniversary dinner there!

We loved our wedding at Bacchus. Tricia was so helpful and was willing to help us or answer any questions along the way. On the night of our reception, the staff were all very helpful and nice. The conservatory made for a lovely setting for our reception and it was very comfortable to dance the night away. It's just a shame it went so quickly.

We had about 8 tables and it was rather tight, such that our band wasn't able to set up until after dinner was over. I wish the transition could have been a little faster, but it gave my husband and me a chance to step away and have a few minutes together.

We can truly say we experienced our dream wedding at Bacchus. Every one of our guests complimented the food, the venue, the service and, frankly, the whole event! We have heard not one negative remark. Tricia was excellent to work with and very accommodating. She was able to help us modify the menu to have options that were pleasing to many guests, especially after the chef changed the vegetarian selection. She worked with us to make sure the original selection was available for our guests. The staff seemed as excited as we were in the planning and executing of our event. I highly recommend Bacchus as a wedding location!

The conservatory at Bacchus was beautiful for our rehearsal dinner. We had about 56 people in attendance, and the room felt very full for cocktail hour, and very comfortable for dinner. The staff was EXCELLENT. They made up the tables beautifully with the items I had dropped off, and could not have been more kind and accommodating. The food was delicious, and the staff didn't hesitate when one person had to change her meal. I can highly recommend Bacchus. It was a great evening!

Bacchus was a beautiful site for our son's rehearsal dinner. Trisha gave us excellent advice on everything from menu suggestions to a local florist, transportation company, and audio-visual assistance. The dinner was spectacular--it was truly an unforgettable evening!

Great space for about 60 people. More than that would have been tight unless we were able to use the patio. Service and quality of food was exceptional!

Great venue, top notch food - Tricia is amazing - very organized, easy to get a hold of, and very professional. I would have given 5 stars for the quality of service, but we did have one issue with one of the waiters that should have been handled differently. Otherwise, it was a perfect wedding venue, and I would highly recommend it.

The Bartolotta group is extremely professional from start to finish. They have the qualified staff that it takes to make our events successful. The food was amazing at Bacchus and the service is always spot on. I would recommend the Bartolotta restaurants for any occasion. We have never been disappointed.

The waiter (I can't recall his name) that we had was outstanding. He knew the menu very well and was well informed. We had a special room with an outstanding view of the lake which made my parents' 50th anniversary outstanding!

Bacchus is a fantastic location for a rehearsal dinner. The view is great and the food and drinks are even better. They are easy to work with and overall our experience was easy and the party was great. Our guests raved about the food and everyone had a great time. As far as price goes they are on the higher end, but you definitely get what you pay for.

The staff that served our event were amazing! They were so hospitable, and detail oriented! Our event coordinator did a poor job of being detail oriented and responding to our emails. The largest part of being an event coordinator is being organized and responding quickly and she did not do that. The management needs to have their details in line as well. We ate at the restaurant twice and no one had any idea of our reservation. The first time, we were entertaining family and showing them where we were having our wedding. We were celebrating my birthday and my Mother's. Our meal was less than ideal. There was also no acknowledgement of birthdays or the fact we were booking with them. Our event coordinator knew of our meal and invited us back for a complimentary meal for me and my husband. We came back and nothing was complimentary and the server had no idea we were buying out their restaurant. Our server was amazing and we wanted to request her at our wedding. Our event coordinator had no idea who the server was. She asked if we could describe her appearance or remembered her name?! They use opentable, you can look that up, oh and you can put guest notes in so that you can take care of important guests. Honestly, Bacchus' hospitality is lacking and disappointing.
