Best Night of My Life!
My experience with baby makes memories was amazing !!!!! I had a 70’s themed party for my 30th birthday. I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted and Joy vividly brought it to life. From the decor , to the food , to the cake, her expertise, promptness, and execution really took my event to the next level. Not to mention she had a ton of creative ideas and nuances that brought different dimensions to the space itself. She found the perfect venue as well and had vendors for me to choose from that were trusted and professional. I have had people tell me that it was the best party they have ever been to! A month later and people are still raving about it! I can’t say this enough, thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Working with Joy, was a complete joy!😜 CBQ was thorough, patient, and very lenient with us when it came to all things involving our baby shower and I would work with them 100x over. They know their industry very well and it was very reassuring to kick back and let someone else do all the work for us. We both came up with a budget that was affordable for us and stuck to it and the event came out beautifully. It actually looked like we spent more than what the budget called for, which was very nice.😉 All in all, Joy was a pleasure to work with, very down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable and I can’t wait to have another event just so we can use her again. -

Don’t know if my day could have went right if I didn’t hire these sweet young ladies. I was getting overwhelmed as I tried to plan my 30 year vow renewal. One of my girlfriends recommended CBQ and I must say i am so happy I relinquished control to them. Not only were these young ladies professional, but they made sure my event was flawless and I was stress free. They checked in regularly, shared progress of things, and ultimately made sure my event was a success. Relieve your stress and hire CBQ. -

The planning process
CBQ events has been so stress free to work with for the last 6 months. We have hired the "Queens" for our up coming wedding in December. So far we already have the majority of our major vendors set and deposits in and we are 8 months out. Their break down of planning tools and knowledge are super helpful and were made specifically for us. I know you usually write a review after the wedding but I seriously thought that by my fiance having little to know time I was going to be all over the place and the girls saved me and I need all my new couples to know how appreciative I am of them. The best part to highlight about them is that there are 3 women that are there for you always and have been such a great support system for me with bringing my ideas together and some personal mishaps. Can't wait for our wedding day and Ill be back with an after wedding review. -

Not only was she super responsive, professional and on time (early) to my event, the cake was also delicious! By the end of the party there was nothing left. My niece was over joyed with what was created for her by Baby Makes Cakes. Baby Makes Cake was professional, punctual and a all around pleasure to work with.

This lady is a scam and stolen our wedding cake money. She has 15 companies and they are all scams! Cbqevents, created by queens, baby makes memories and more. Joy is manipulating and force seller. Other reviews are false like everything else! Stay away! -

We didn’t jump the broom because Joy forgot it. This is a time-honored tradition in the African-American culture that we were unable to participate in real time. Thanks to our amazing videographer we were able to right this wrong and create the moment after the wedding. We hired CBQ (currently “Baby Makes Memories”) because Joy assured us on her attention to detail and professionalism, which was not our experience from start to finish. To start, when sending out the timeline to our venue event director, the wedding date and the number of attendees was inaccurate. Which made it appear to us that she cut and paste the document without reviewing it. There were so many errors that the venue director contacted us to make sure he had the correct information. The additional time and energy it took to double check all of her mistakes, resulted in feeling even more anxious and less confident in her ability to properly execute our wedding day. A week before our nuptials (the most nerve-wracking time) she forgot to order flowers that we needed for the outdoor ceremony. She took no personal accountability and blamed the incident solely on the florist. The error caused us to accrue additional costs and created further doubt that she could execute the “fairly tail” wedding that she promised. During the wedding rehearsal (which should have taken 1-hour tops) she had difficulty managing all of the moving parts and seemed unprepared. This resulted in the bridal party rehearsing outside, in the dark, which made us late for our rehearsal dinner. When paying our vendors that we hand selected it was mentioned several times that she was difficult to work with. This was disheartening. When hiring a wedding planner, they represent you and should make your special day easier not more difficult. I was disappointed with the result because I was hopeful that she would deliver on her promises and she did not. -
