  We balked a bit at the idea of a big, towering wedding cake - both because it just didn't seem like us, and because of the cost. Instead, we looked around for other options, and stumbled across B. Hall, Baker - whoopie-pie maker. Beryl Hall makes the most delicious whoopie pies I've ever had, personally. They are somewhat mini-size (most people could eat two), and come in a variety of flavors (we went with chocolate, vanilla and pumpkin, but there were several others as well).
  
  The whoopies come in small cellophane packages sealed with a sticker (we had stickers with our initials and the wedding date made and Beryl used these instead of the standard B.Hall stickers), and are easy to serve, stack, pass, eat, share, take home, etc. Worked great in place of a full-size cake (we still had a small cake to cut), or would make great favors or gifts!!
