    Highly recommend these people

    Alexandra Lawson and her crew were great. They knew exactly what to do and kept everything (and everyone) moving. Very professional, very accommodating, always pleasant and friendly. They took care of everything. Very thankful they were there to make Kyle and Allison's wedding fantastic and beautiful.

    Best planners ever!

    I hired A'vie Events for my wedding and it was the best decision ever! I chose the last 3 month of planning as I was beginning a doctoral program 3 months before my wedding and needed all the help I could get. They helped direct my initial planning and made sure I was on track, gave me recommendations for vendors and where to get supplies when I needed them, and then absolutely blew me away on the wedding day. All my guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever been to and ran so smoothly and on time. I truly could not have had the day of my dreams if it had not been for Angela and her team!

    They made the day!

    There is so much I could say about Alexandra Lawson and the A'vie events crew. They are spectacular. I am a full time graduate student and decided to have a wedding during my first semester, thanks to Alexandra it was perfect. She thought of things I never would have and made they day go by perfectly on time which is rare for my family. I cannot thank this crew enough they made me so happy. Highly recommend even if you don't need the whole wedding plan they can help and really relieve stress!

    Above and Beyond!

    Our wedding was not easy to plan. We live 4 hours away from Gainesville and if it wasn't for Angela, Alexandra, and the A'vie team our wedding wouldn't have gone so well. Additionally, we had to deal with rain on our wedding day and Alexandra was able to help us navigate around the planning obstacle the rain created. All in all, we wouldn't have had such a great wedding without them. We appreciate you so much!

    Excellent services! It was just what we needed!

    When I planned my wedding, my fiancé was working on the road. My mom and I went to a bridal expo in Ocala, FL and met Stefany Garcia. Shortly after that event, we met with Stefany and Angela with A’Vie about 4 months before the wedding. Stefany, our lead planner, did an amazing job helping us with “crunch time” planning. The team was cordial, very responsive, and they really take to heart what your vision is. I highly recommend A’Vie events to help with your special day and big events. They were a perfect fit for my wedding team! I want to thank them again for the help, time, and efforts during my last few months of wedding planning. My day ended up being perfect!

    Always a pleasure (and relief!) to work with A`vie Events! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    I can't say enough wonderful things about Angela, Miranda, Stefany and the entire A`vie Events staff! They are absolute rock stars and I constantly recommend them to anybody searching for event planning and coordinating needs! My business has used A`vie for company parties, community events, and the many seasonal rushes that bring floods of customers and chaos to our dealership. Their commitment to our customers and team is matched by their professionalism and communication and they leave no stones unturned. They bring me so much piece of mind and having them on hand during crunch time relieves so much stress, I truly can't imagine an event without them!     Best decision about the wedding

    OK, 2nd best decision if you count proposing to my wife as the first best decision. At first we did most of the planning ourselves but realized that there were going to be details such as 'who will hold the door open for her entrance', 'who will make sure things are ready before we arrive', and lots of others that we didn't want to put onto family and friends. A'vie already came recommended from some people I really trust and I couldn't have been happier with our decision to bring them on. From our first meeting my wife and I felt a huge sense of relief and weight lifted off our shoulders. We hadn't even decided to hire them yet and they were already making calls to vendors for us to make sure arrangements were on track. They were only supposed to be 'day of' services but they were so much more. We had problems with our cake lady and A'vie found us an amazing replacement (we have since used that vendor for other events). Then the biggest was when our photographer dropped us 3 days before the wedding and didn't have a back up person. We called A'vie immediately and by the next day they had a replacement for us. We wish we had gone with that photographer in the beginning because they were amazing! We have also since used that photographer for several photo shoots since the wedding. Angela has put together a wonderful team at A'vie Events and we loved working with everyone. Things were fixed before we even knew there was a concern. Our parents and several guests came up to us after the wedding to compliment how nice and helpful the A'vie team was. I could keep going on and on about how great they were but if you should already be calling them to set up a meeting. I am 100% confident that if you just talk to them you will feel that sense of relief that they will be there for you every step of the way no matter what unexpected thing happens. I would (and have) recommended them to anyone who planning a wedding or any event big or small! Thanks A'vie Events!!!

    Better than we could've dreamed of!

    Ms. Angela and her team were simply incredible! Ms. Angela met with me multiple times, including at the venue itself, to go over every last detail. I felt so comfortable knowing that she was taking care of everything the day of our wedding. She was organized and helped me to cover some things I had not even considered. We had a specialized table for the Persian elements of our wedding and Ms. Angela got it just perfect. Ms. Angela responded to every question in a timely manner and even held on to some of our wedding belongings until after we got back from our honeymoon. She is a genuine, kind person who truly loves what she does and it shows. She made our every dream come true and I would recommend her and her company to anyone and everyone. A 5 star experience for sure! You can't go wrong with A'Vie events.

    I couldn’t wish for better planners!

    Their attention to detail is amazing and they made the whole experience so special! They made my wedding day everything I imagined, and even added some beautiful touches I wouldn’t have thought of. I absolutely love this group of ladies! 💕

    We absolutely loved our experience with A'vie Events!! Angela and her team are wonderful, experienced, professional, and make sure you really are "a guest at your event." Angela has a great sense of humor and fun personality which made the stressful process of planning a wedding with blended families an enjoyable experience. Angela is well connected with vendors and really takes the time to match you with vendors that meet your expectations and jive with your personality. We could not have had our wedding without A'vie events and we actually had a blast at our wedding thanks to them. Stefany was also great throughout the process and on the day of the wedding, seeing to all the details. We had no idea how to go about planning a wedding and Angela made it a breeze. Angela is awesome if you are having a wedding you must hire her -She's amazing! Also, I'm pretty sure she's seen it all so she can handle any challenge with grace and professionalism.     Avie Events were truly life savers! Stefany and her team did a fantastic job; they were all so sweet and just made sure the day went off without a hitch. All I had to do was get dressed and show up; she took care of everything else related to vendors arriving on time, setting up etc. It was so worth it to be able to focus on getting ready and not having to worry about if the caterer was going to show up on time. They even ran out and picked up taco bell for our guests at the end of the night! Best team ever; highly recommend.

    We are still in aww over the fabulous experience we had working with avie.events. Our first meeting with Angela she told us her goal was to let us be quests at our own event. That is exactly what took place. I am a person that likes to be in control. I was fully confident and at ease throughout our entire experience knowing that Angela and her staff knew exactly what I was looking for and wanted our event to be like. I was more then pleased and forever grateful for the success and memories that were created throughout our entire experience.

    Angela and her team did an incredible job with our recent wedding. My wife and I got married last week and Angela had been helping plan it since the engagement 2 years prior.     Best Wedding Investment!

    My husband and I thought we couldn’t afford a planner for our wedding, but we knew we needed help pulling the details together in the months leading up to and a coordinator for the day of. We couldn't have been happier with Angela and her team - it was the best investment for our wedding. From the start Angela was attentive to our concerns and needs and as it turned out, A’vie was entirely affordable. We wished we had hired the team earlier in the planning process! Angela composed a comprehensive agenda to tackle our to-do list and a schedule for the big day to share with vendors and the wedding party. It became clear to us that A’vie has worked with many different vendors in North Florida and they have a great relationship with each of them. Angela went above and beyond what we expected and communicated final details with each vendor before the wedding to ensure everything was on track – a huge stress relief for us.

    The morning of the wedding I woke up feeling under the weather, but Angela was on it. She showed up with crackers, Gatorade, and ginger ale. She was truly caring and ready to tackle everything that came her way. She also had two coordinators from her team helping out who were able to jump into action right away. Our wedding day was nonstop from about 8AM to 11PM, a schedule Angela and her team handled with grace and efficiency. This included getting the entire wedding party from Sweetwater Branch Inn to the UF stadium for photos and back again in time for the ceremony!

    After recently attending another wedding that did not have a coordinator, we saw how stressful the situation was for the bride, groom, and family members who were running around trying to make everything fall into place. We were reminded how very thankful we were for Angela and her team at our wedding. Her calm and cheerful personality kept everyone relaxed and she never seemed stressed. We received so many compliments from family and friends about how smoothly our wedding went. Thank you so much, A’vie!

    People told me before our big day that it will be a blur and to eat plenty before because you won't have a chance to enjoy your food or even your cake! Thanks to Angela and her team, the day did fly by, but my husband and I were able to enjoy each sparkling treasure of our wedding. Angela made sure I was the FIRST to take a bite of our decadent lobster mashed potatoes and to see the glowing finished product of our reception area. Her team also made sure every detail that I shouted out was instantly taken care of. Her and her husband even climbed ladders to hang sweeping drapes from the ceiling when I demanded they be done a day before the wedding (I had a few bridezilla moments I'm still not proud of). I won't even go in to detail about the delicate strings of Ivy that Angela helped hang by hand. To sum it up, Angela and her team made our insanely magical wedding a possibility and then made it the best day of my life to date. I am forever grateful.

    A'vie was a total lifesaver for our daughter's wedding. Angela agreed to come in at the last minute and immediately began working to get all of our information such as vendors, contacts, etc. Margo was our wonderful coordinator who was more than we could've asked for. She was organized, professional, and such a lovely person to work with. A'vie and Margo made our daughter's special weekend flawless and fabulous leaving our guests and family still raving. I wholeheartedly absolutely recommend A'vie Events/Margo to coordinate and plan any event large or small.

    If years before you had told me I'd be using a wedding coordinator when I (finally) got married, I would have snorted in derision. A wedding coordinator? Do I look like a princess? But when I finally found myself engaged, I was in a new city, away from my friends and family. Most of the friends I had made in Gainesville were younger than I, and didn't have any experience with wedding vendors. The idea of planning a wedding virtually alone was literally sickening. So I found myself looking at the A'vie web site, and hesitantly e-mailing owner Angela Renick, explaining my situation and my (comparitively) small budget. She immediately responded and I eventually met with Ann Marie Denning, who became my wedding coordinator. Ann Marie, for all intents and purposes, became my maid of honor as well as my coordinator. They worked within my budget, and I do believe I received my money's worth! I literally could not have done this wedding without Ann Marie. Even if someone couldn't afford a full package, if a bride was in my situation, I would still recommend Ann Marie and A'vie, if only for the day-of services. I was in bliss throughout the wedding day - never had a single stressed moment, and neither did my family. I never thought once about the catering, the music - ANYTHING. Ann Marie and her plucky team of assistants kept everything running smoothly. I even had guests comment on "the girls in black" that were buzzing around. A'vie - and especially Ann Marie - will have a place in my heart forever. I am so thankful for their service.

    We couldn't have possibly pulled off this wedding without A'vie! They are amazing. Angela and her crew are the masters of organization and planning! Everything went off without a hitch. They can foresee any setbacks down the road and plan for them accordingly. On the day of the wedding, the boutineers for the groomsmen were the wrong color, and Angela got the florist to fix them and personally deliver them to the hotel, even though she was on her way out of town. I had FOUR wedding coordinators on the job for my big day! I even had my OWN personal attendant who was there to touch up my lip gloss or make sure that I sipped on water all day. HIGHLY recommended! We also rented our specialty linens through them.

    This company is awesome! They do a really great job and I really do not know what I would have done with out them. They have everything you didnt think of for your wedding day and more, such as shout wipes, sticky tape (for dresses that dont hold), scissors, you name it they have it.

    All went well fairly until the wedding day. For the ceremony I had very specific request for the path guests should take to enter the area where the ceremony was to take place- through meticulously handmade and decorated doors with all decorations and seating based on that viewpoint. I made it 100% clear that it was imperative that the guests enter that direction to get the visual I had worked so hard for. It didn't happen. They allowed guests to just wander into seats without ever even seeing the ceremony doors or the decorations from that view. May sound like a small thing but imagine people entering through the exit doors and just grabbing a seat. So much time and money and energy invested by me. Huge disappointment. When people saw the pictures, they told me they never even saw the doors. Also, got a very shady estimate from her recommended caterer...had to find my own.

Some times our jobs are challenging conveying to guests why we want them to do particular things unless we put up a road block. I think that may have been the best thing as we look back on this now. We tried to encourage them to go this way and enter down the aisle. So many were seeing friends and family they hadn't seen in years and we couldn't pull them a part to come down the aisle.
    We certainly don't want our services to leave a bad feeling in your heart. We do wish you and Matt the very best marriage in the world. We certainly loved pulling your wedding together in three months. Seeing the love the two of you have for each other was truly refreshing. ~Angela

    Dissatisfied with service

    In seeking an event planner for my husband’s 40th Birthday celebration, I used reviews to assist with locating the service. Therefore, I feel compelled to share my experience and hopefully deter others from making the same poor decision.

    While others speak glowingly of Miranda and her team, I, unfortunately, did not experience this stellar service. The services rendered in no way reflect the money I paid and often I located rates at a fraction of the cost of the vendors recommended by the planner. For instance, I was quoted a price for pipes and drapes only for over $600, I located Tara J Weddings (https://tara-j-weddings-inc.business.site/) and she provided pipe/drapes and other significant decorating items including delivery, for less than $400 dollars! It was only later, much to my dismay, that I learned that she is an event planner.

    Fortunately, the event turned out extremely well due to friends and other vendors (Chris P. of Elegant Photography; DJ Tele (Joseph I.)) but it was in no way due to A'vie Events.

    I delayed posting a review until I could express my dissatisfaction through a customer service survey. I submitted it and received a telephone call to discuss my concerns. That too was a disappointing experience.

    The company tagline states “Be a guest at your next event!” If you want that to be your reality, then please, go elsewhere.

    After submitting my customer service survey and completing a post-mortem
    telephone conference with the event team I worked with on the birthday
    celebration, I decided that despite my lingering dissatisfaction I’d simply
    move forward. Subsequently, I was pleasantly surprised when the owner,
    Mrs. Angela Renick, contacted me.

    Angela was extremely apologetic and adamant that she wanted to make the
    situation right. She was kind, very thoughtful, and took ownership for the team’s performance. That call truly made the difference! It demonstrated her commitment to excellence and her desire to ensure that her customers are happy. She asked that I give A’vie events another opportunity to provide the stellar service they are known for, based on our conversation, I will be doing so when the opportunity presents itself.

    Make the right decision for you...

    Initially everything was going great because of the lead planner ALEXANDRA...the one star A'vie receives from me is because of her, not the owner. Alexandra was efficient, timely, professional, and just an all-around great person to work with. She was on top of things before we even signed the contract. With all of that being said, A'vie as a company did not live up to the hype. We purchased the platinum package, and with that I was suppose to have 4 planners (including the owner) taking care of all of my wedding coordination and planning. What it ended up being was Alexandra taking care of practically everything with the help of an unpaid intern (which was amazing as well), and the owner being present when it was convenient. As a result of a number of issues I choose not to disclose, we opted to terminate the contract with A'vie. The most alarming part of what is suppose to be some of the happiest days of my life is that the owner has refused to refund us our money. She has been non-responsive to my emails and phone calls...almost like she has disappeared. Besides all of that, I did not write this review to be nasty. I am writing this review to help someone else who may be considering using A'vie for their event. Be mindful of what you are paying for (I would recommend paying them in installments, with them receiving the last payment right before the event) and hold them to just that in the event they are not meeting your expectations. Make your own decisions and do not be coerced into doing something or working with someone you don't want to. Make the right decision for you. If I needed to plan/coordinate another event, I would definitely make a difference choice.

    I'm sorry that you feel that Alexandra did everything for your wedding. That is not the case at all. If you were a fly in the office you would have seen a much bigger picture. To know that all of us put in about every event. We want to make sure that each client/bride is well cared for and taken into account. It is our commitment to honor their contract and do more than they ever expect.

    Every time, something needed to be done for your wedding we as a team discussed it before it was taken care of. It may have been communicated through Alexandra and Francisco to you but that does not mean that I was not heavily involved in the decision making. With over 29 years of experience and the owner, I am the one who helps to guide and train those who work under me on which vendors would be the right ones for your wedding. So we get you to the right vendors within a few tries versus multiple appointments. Saving you time, stress and inconvenience.

    I hope that one day you will see all that A`vie Events did as a whole for your wedding planning needs. We have Core Values that we run A`vie Events by. They are as follows:

    I persuaded my future Mother-in-law that we needed a wedding coordinator for the wedding. We had 3 meetings with Angela Renick and thought everything was on track. She was thorough in getting details of the wedding and she told us tid-bits of info on the traditional and non-traditional wedding ideas. We felt comfortable to hand her the reins on the day of our wedding.
    On our last meeting a month before the wedding she casually told us that Margo and Lisa would be our coordinators that day. Having not met either before, we voiced a concern about them knowing all our details for the wedding, and we were reassured that there would not be a problem. At this point it was too close to the wedding and the balance to A’Vie Events was paid in full.
    To our disappointment the wedding had several mishaps and mistakes. Had we been able to meet with the coordinators prior to the wedding I feel that most details would not have been lost. My 87 year old Mother-in-Law who has waited 57 years to see her only child married, was saddened and disappointed in the service of A’vie Events. Please be aware that Angela might switch you to another coordinator without any warning or enough time to meet with them to get specific details in place. We suffered and lost precious memories as a result of their negligence.
