User2261256 Sent on 08/08/2015Austin Gourmet has provided catering services for our wedding last week (2 Aug,2015). We had quite a variety of food including full roasted Pig, which tasted so great and was presented in the best way possible. Everyone who ate enjoyed every single bite.
We discussed all of the food we like and ideas of what we could serve at the wedding. The Austin Gourmet team is very conscious of making sure their food is fresh and in season. They had come up with a great idea for the salad as display for when all our guests walked in. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Everyone loved the appetizers and the dinner options.
Our Menu was:
Appetizers: Smoked salmon canapé, keish, chicken satees, bacon wrapped scallops....
Salads: Emperes Salad, Greek salad, southwest potatoes, tortellini pesto.....
Main course: roast winter veg, rice pillouf, roasted artisian potatoes, spinach ricotta cantolenni with rose sauce, roasted lamb, swedish meatballs, chicken parmesan, and Roasted pork.....
Yummmm... everything was so great and delicious....
Besides amazing food we had a great always smiling and helpful servers
I highly recommend Austin Gourmet to everyone... -

I craved their food for months after our tasting and was happily satiated at my wedding! I still crave their food again to this day... -
User2012738 Sent on 01/17/2015Austin Gourmet provides an incredible value for your money and tasty food! The company is family run and you are treated like family when you hire them.
Brandon (General Manager) is always there to answer your questions and very helpful in making sure you get exactly what you want. I probably pestered him more so than other brides as we had to accommodate a variety of food intolerances but Brandon never made me feel like a burden.
Relative to other caterers you get an incredible amount of food for the price you pay and it is quality food. I swear the food was even better the night of the wedding compared to our tasting and typically I would say it goes the opposite way!
I would highly recommend Austin Gourmet to any bride! -

Ashley Sent on 02/18/2016Austin Gourmet is a tricky one to review. When we met with them a year before our wedding for a tasting we were blown out of the water. The food was amazing, we were promised amazing service, we got a great package deal, and left feeling very happy.
When it came time to paying the bills before the wedding we ran into a few missteps. When we booked we were told it came with a bartender. When we got closer to the day I had to push pretty hard to get them to tell me who my bartender was going to be and they told me they didn't really do that anymore but because I had signed a contract they would do it they guessed... It was like they were doing me a favour...
The front end staff at the store front are lacking customer service. They are not anything I would rave about. I actually found them to be quite rude and like I was bothering them for making them do their jobs when I came in to pay them.
On the day of we didn't have any problems that I know of (we had a kick ass wedding planner who took care of them for us). We got first dibs on the food which was awesome. The food wasn't anything like I was expecting though. It was good... but not as amazing as when we tried it a year ago. It's possible they grew to quickly, or that it was an off day. Or it might have been that the food was so good when we tasted was because they were cooking for two, rather that sixty.
All in all I probably wouldn't suggest them to another bride. But it wasn't anything terrible like some other brides I have heard of having with this company.
