    Dawn was extremely helpful in every aspect of the wedding planning. All we had to do was give her the phone numbers and names of our vendors and she handled everything from that point. On the wedding day, Dawn was in total control. Her experience was evident in her calm demeanor, which definitely put me at ease. From the first meeting that we had with her, we knew we were in good hands. Dawn made our wedding day stress free and we didn't have to ask her any questions about what to do next. She had everything under control from the start! We really appreciated the fact that she made sure we were taken care of the entire night. During the wedding photos, she personally took our drink orders and hand delivered them to us. It's little things like this that we really appreciated. Not to mention that she ran her butt off the entire night from start to finish to ensure everything went flawlessly. Dawn was the reason that the biggest night of our lives was absolutely perfect!

    She was great at organizing my baby shower as well as cousin sweet sixteen birthday party and would recommend her to anyone for her services.

    We recently used Dawn from Aurora Handiworks as a day of coordinator for our wedding. She did a wonderful job making sure we were on task and schedule. She handled all affairs with vendors on the day of as well. She was helpful with so many other little things as well that made the day run smoothly. She was so sweet, she even gave the bridesmaids and myself a little homemade gift. She was very attentive and helpful to our guests if they had questions or any needs. She was helpful and fun, and came to the rehearsal as well to make sure things were all set to go. We really appreciated her and I'm so thankful she was there to make my day run smoothly!

    Dawn, of Aurora Handiworks was amazing! she did everything from ordering all the food to decoration of the venue. I didn't have to worry about what would happen, everything was so smooth. She took all of the stress away from our special day and I have to give her all the credit for how amazing it was.

    I was the photographer for Casey and Kelly's wedding and couldn't have been happier with Dawn's services. She was hired less than 24 hours before the wedding because the first planner was completely unprofessional and unorganized. Dawn was quick, thorough, and kind. Everything ran smoothly because of her and no stress was to be had. Thank you again for your help!!!

    After firing my incompetant wedding planner less than 48 hours before my wedding, I miraculously heard of and contacted Dawn. She was so sweet on the phone, comforting me as I was crying hysterically after having to fire my planner. Dawn assured me that everything would be alright and that it was her personal mission to have me be relaxed on my wedding day. Dawn met with me just under 24 hours before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. She went over everything with me, thought of things that I hadn't thought of or hadn't gotten to and simply smiled and told me not to worry. She contacted all of my vendors, wedding party, and collected all of my supplies, prayed with me, hugged me tightly and told me to have a wonderful night. She made place cards over night, ran out and got tablecloths that were forgotten, collected every delivery, greeted every vendor on site, set up the entire venue EXACTLY how I wanted it, and made sure everything ran on time and without a problem. If it wasn't for Dawn at Aurora Handiworks, I would have been at my venue the morning of my wedding setting up everything on my own. Dawn truly saved the day and has remained a wonderful friend ever since! I recommend Dawn to everyone, my only regret being that I didn't have her as my planner from day one!

I would recommend to all my clients to please meet with your planner/coordinators prior to your wedding and NEVER pay more than a deposit prior to the day of your wedding.     Dawn is wonderful! She is very crafty, professional and sweet. She will make sure that she can do anything she can to make your day the most perfect it can be. The Walters wedding was wonderful!!

    We can't say enough about Aurora Handiworks Events and especially it's owner Dawn Zoerner. If I could give her a 10+ I would. She always responded to our calls and emails immediately, was always willing to go that extra mile to make our wedding day as perfect as it could be, and the result was an absolutely perfect wedding day with no glitches at all. She really is amazing. We just can't say enough about her in every way. She is very professional, listens to what you want, she has a lot of experience, and great instincts to make your wedding as perfect as it can be.

    We would recommend her without any reservations.

    Where to start. First she says her linens are $4 a piece, then she says $5 then on the invoice it says $8. She tell you you can use things at no cost and then ttys to charge you later. She was 45 minutes late to the rehearsal dinner, she sat for an hour doing personal things when she should have been cleaning the venue. Because of this I was charged $100 for an over time fee from the venue. I will not refer her to anyone. She tries to make excuses for her mistakes rather than just owning up to them. Its everyone else's fault except hers.

    Thank you for your review. We humbly apologize for any miscommunication and misunderstanding that may have occurred. Due to gridlocked traffic that was beyond anyone’s control, I was late for the rehearsal. Fee for this service was refunded. We decorated the venue, assisted the vendors and guided the progress of the service. Aurora Handiworks wanted to try and alleviate your budget constraints (as your fiancé’s broken ankle wouldn't allow him to work which we saw limited your budget). Our original quote wasn't conveyed correctly on the first invoice, but was reflected on the 2nd invoice. Our price for linen and glassware was made to be less than half the normal charge for us or any rental company. We also provided table runners and live flowers at no cost to you and were rewarded with your fiancé’s approval. As for the sitting down for an hour doing personal business, I was removing the wax and candles from the bottles for easier transport (to begin with, then was told to throw them away.) The contract stated there would be 150 guests, there were more than 200 guests attending, therefore we were not adequately staffed for your reception. Your caterer and bartenders failed to remove many items when they left the venue, including food, liquor and garbage. We picked up this responsibility to ensure your deposit would be returned. We also picked up your desserts, took gifts and both of your cars to 2 separate locations to help you at no additional charge or financial commitment to you. Lastly, I, along with help of three others, removed all the rose petals used in your service (which was against your venue’s contract) with the aid of flashlights, from every area of the venue. For these reasons, we completed our 15 hour day at 12:40 am, later than anticipated. We did help you to receive the majority of your deposit. We pray that you and your husband are doing well and that your marriage and future lives will be blessed. We appreciate the learning opportunity.

    I’m writing this review, not to trash an individual but to share my frustrating and saddening experience as an unsatisfied customer who hired “Aurora Handiworks” as their wedding planner/coordinator, for the most unforgettable day of my life. After 4-5 months prior to my wedding, I interviewed with several wedding coordinators/planners, and chose to go with Aurora Handiworks after Dawn (the owner). Dawn sold me the sun, the moon and the starts promising an unforgettable wedding day, from beginning to end.
    As previously mentioned, there were several months of planning for my special day. I purchased two (2) packages which she expressed were a MUST for my wedding day. One package was the planning/decorating package and the other was a coordinating package for the day of my wedding, to assist my bridal party, groom and myself, in getting to everywhere we needed to go. Both packages = $1900.00 which she requested be paid immediately so she could “begin working”. I paid for both packages with no hesitation, foolishly trusting her “wedding planning expertise”. For MONTHS, between meeting at random locations to discuss wedding details (because she does NOT have an office space) and through the telephone, Dawn wasted my time “planning” details that were NEVER included in any part of my ceremony or reception. I had to find ALL of my vendors on my own. From the photographer, to the caterer, bartenders, entertainment, even the servers who SHE HIRED, I had to end up coordinating because she was impractical in being able to find anything or anyone useful, beyond the Dollar Store knick-knack’s she found for my reception.
    The details of my wedding weren’t ridiculously elaborate – but I requested several elements to my ceremony and reception which meant a lot to me. I assume because she didn’t think it was an “over the top” event, Dawn decided that showing up the night prior to decorate @ 10:00PM. PLEASE GO TO GOOGLE AND YELP FOR THE FULL REVIEW!
