Let me first start off by saying Astrid is an incredible photographer you can just tell from the moment you enter her website! When I first saw her website I was blown away. I had talked to a couple of other photographers before but wasn't impressed yet. Everything changed when I talked to Astrid. She picked her phone up immediately when I called, which is something I was surprised and excited about that.
From the moment we spoke something just clicked. She was a type A gal like me. That night I had a written up contract already waiting for me when I got home. I was both surprised and impressed was once again. She was in a conference I believe in California for work, yet still had the time to send me a contract that day, incredible again!
I met Astrid and once again was blown away by how professional she was and also how much she put my mother at ease.
The day of the wedding she showed up exactly on time with two assistance which was very exciting! She had so many wonderful suggestions. I will say the thing about her that really shined to me was how personal she was to my husband.
My husband is a very introverted type of person who doesn't like his picture taken. Astrid put him at ease and he actually enjoyed getting his picture taken! I have been with my husband for 8 years and have never seen him so relaxed before. I was shocked and so happy that she was able to do this.
We have only gotten our sneak previews so far, which we got in less than 10 days! The pictures were so beautifut. Words don't do them justice. Once I get the rest I will post them on wedding wire.
If you don't hire Astrid you are making a huge mistake.
Don't look somewhere else.
Just hire her you won't regret it.

My now-husband and I knew from the moment we started planning our wedding that, other than the venue, nothing was more important to us than finding the right photographer. We narrowed it down to a list of three (thanks Instagram!) and decided to reach out to Astrid first because we’d recently had an absolutely delicious cocktail of that name and took it as a sign. And fate it was. From the first moment we started to correspond with Astrid, to our initial meeting, to the wedding day itself, we knew we were in the very best hands. She is responsive, professional, unassuming but confident in her skills and experience, kind, and above all, talented. Our photos are absolutely stunning and capture the joy we felt on our wedding day perfectly. Astrid and her team also have the ability to coax beautiful photos from all settings. Our “getting ready” photos are just as evocative as the riotous photos of the dance floor. (And both of my attendants are very camera shy but she managed to get so many unselfconscious photos of them!) Even the staged shots and portraits have a luminous and dynamic quality that elevate them beyond anything I could have expected. In a nutshell, if you are looking for a photographer who will deliver timely, gorgeous photos and do so with warmth and style, Astrid is likely the perfect photographer. -

We LOVE Astrid!
Astrid was not only an amazing photographer for our wedding day, but also a great friend throughout the process. Her photos caught every bit of excitement and emotion that I was feeling that day, and I get to relive it by looking at them. I am so glad we found her! -

Astrid was so easy to work with. She and her assistant worked seamlessly together and were able to capture the moments my daughter and her fiancé wanted at their wedding. We took 100's of photos and engaged for 10 hours. Never once did they let down during the day and we are so happy with the sneak peek we have seen so far. Excellent work!!!! -

Photographer for all special occasions!
We met Astrid in the summer of 2016 when we were looking for a wedding photographer. We decided to start with the engagement session and it was incredible. She had a fun idea to have us in a canoe on the Potomac and the pictures were incredible!
She photographed our wedding in November of 2016 and again the pictures were stunning! She was very easy to work with, patient and captured some very special moments.
Because we loved her and her photos so much, when our son was born there was no question who would take the first photos of our family. The shots of our son are absolutely precious and we just love them so much.
We will absolutely use Astrid for all the important family events that we want to capture!
Our friends loved our photos so much that they also had Astrid photograph their wedding as well! -

Astrid is absolutely wonderful to work with. Her warm personality makes you feel like a close friend from day 1. She is thoughtful and helpful throughout the process and especially on the day of. She happily went along with any "out of the box" photo ideas and tried to make them happen for us. I could not give Astrid and her team any higher praise. They were exceptional to work with! -

Karol Sent on 10/29/2011My pictures are stunning and beautiful!!!! Out of this world! Astrid is the most talented photographer I have ever met. If you don't get Astrid, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! I feel so lucky she was still available for my wedding day. She is extremely talented!! Worth every penny! For the DMV area her prices are not bad. For the value you are getting, you will be getting a deal! The pictures arrived earlier than expected. Which makes it even better.
My favorite things from my wedding was my Wedding Planner, the decoration, details, my pictures and my photographer! A lot of brides wish they could say the last 2.

Kristin Sent on 01/21/2011I has such a wonderful experience working with Astrid. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she's a really cool person! My husband and I were so nervous about having our engagement pictures done and she really made us feel like old friends in no time. By the time the wedding came around, I was so glad she was there--she felt like family! Then, the pictures! Oh my goodness, the pictures! She did such a fabulous job! I am so truly grateful she was there to capture all those special moments. We were very worried about having the time to do some of the portrait shots the day of the wedding and after having a minor panic attack in her direction a few weeks before the wedding, she suggested to me that we do a day after session. It was hands down the best decision I ever made! We had such a good time getting dressed up again and having the time to take the pictures without the pressure of the actual wedding...I think the pictures show what a blast we had and how talented Astrid really is. She was absolutely wonderful and if I had to do it all over again, I'd stick with Astrid all the way!
