I’m fortunate to get my hair and makeup done a few times a year, and as a wedding venue manager, I have incredible experience seeing many HMU artists in action - but Ashley and her team consistently rise to the top. Their talent, professionalism, and creativity are unmatched, and I especially love their concierge service - it ensures you’re completely photo-ready and polished long after HMU is finished. Every detail is considered, making the whole experience feel effortless, fun, and luxurious. I’ve seen so many brides rave about them, and it’s easy to fan-girl right back! Truly, they are one of the best teams in the industry and an absolute joy to work with. -

Hiring Ashley and Blissful Muse Co. for my November 2025 wedding was the absolute BEST decision I made during the wedding planning process. She provides a truly luxury bridal experience while also being your biggest hype girl at the trial, on your wedding day, and all the emails in between!
I immediately felt at ease when first contacting her because it’s so clear she is a professional offering a high value service. I was looking for an artist that specialized in natural, clean, editorial bridal looks, and Ashley was perfect. The first time I met her at my trial (in her beautiful studio!), we clicked and spent the whole morning laughing before I went to my bridal portraits — during which my hair stayed flawless even during 40 MPH gusts of wind!
The concierge hours she includes after hair and makeup concludes on your wedding day was a big selling point for me, as I was worried about having to touch up my own makeup or take my veil in and out without messing up my hair. It was such a relief to have her there during my first look, wedding party pictures, and right before going down the aisle!
I got SO many compliments on my bridal look, and my bridesmaids and mom loved their services from Ashley and Sarah. I could not recommend Blissful Muse Co more!

Perfection from start to finish
From the moment I inquired about Blissful Muse, I was so excited to have these girls be a part of my big day. They came highly recommended from two friends. You absolutely get what you pay for, and my main stylist Courtney literally stayed with me for the majority of my wedding day, constantly touching up my makeup and hair so it looked its best. I felt like an absolute celebrity having my stylist with me through photos and up until right after the ceremony. All of my bridesmaids looked their very best and every girl absolutely loved their hair and makeup. Cortney was my lead stylist and everyone absolutely LOVED her. She made me feel so beautiful & supported at my trial and on the big day. Her thoughtful recommendations and talent elevated my natural beauty, and she’s great at explaining what she’s doing and why. I’ve never been a huge makeup person, but having an artist like her and a team like Blissful Muse—who truly take the time to get to know you and make you feel like the best version of YOU—made the whole experience more exciting & comforting.
Cortney & team did hair for all my bridesmaids and hair & MU for myself, Mom and Nana. Let me tell you–all of my girlies looked STUNNING! I still can’t get over how gorgeous my Mom and Nana looked and everyone said they’ve never had their hair/curls hold as well as they did on my wedding day. I can’t imagine working with another artist and would get married again just to work with Cortney.

WHAT A GAME CHANGER THIS TEAM IS! I cannot express enough gratitude to Ashley and Cortney at Blissful Muse!! They didn’t just bring their incredible hair and makeup skills—they brought their amazing, joyful personalities that completely transformed our bridal suite. They made my wedding day so special, and I will never forget their kindness, expertise, and laughter they brought to the entire experience.
I did a lot of research for hair and makeup in the Triangle area. As an actor living in NYC, I wanted a clean, glamorous, and elevated look that would photograph perfectly—and Blissful Muse delivered that and so much more. Their industry experience, knowledge of trends, and true passion for beauty set them lightyears above other vendors!!!
From the start, Ashley was a dream to work with—professional, kind, accommodating, and such a hoot! At my trial, I got to meet Cortney, and she is an absolute gem as well: kind, talented, hysterical, and just a wonderful person to be around. I have naturally curly hair but I wanted to feel GLAM on my day so I couldn't decide between hollywood waves or some kind of curly updo - Cortney offered an elevated half up/half down curl look that still incorporated my curls but made them VERY GLAMOROUS - AND LET ME SAY I AM OBSSESSED!! I absolutely loved it! IT WAS EXACTLY how I wanted to feel/look!! And - my rehearsal dinner was after my trial and let me say my hair and makeup received endless compliments!! I already felt so excited and confident heading into my wedding day!!!
On the big day, Ashley worked her magic on the bridesmaids, keeping us all on schedule while bringing so much joy and laughter to the suite. She’s phenomenal! Cortney stayed with me for the entire day, and her passion for her craft is unmatched. She has a way of reading the room and knowing exactly when to bring the calm vibes, cheers, or awesome jokes. I could hardly sit down all am - I was so excited/anxious - but as soon as I sat in Cortney's chair a sense of calm and warmth came over me - she's just that awesome!
Cortney even stayed late to give me a second hair look for the reception—talk about above and beyond! When I say I looked and felt incredible, I mean it. My photos are stunning, and I have never felt more beautiful in my life.
One more thing I have to mention - I keep getting asked by engaged friends on tips for their weddings - and the first thing I say is BOOK BLISSFUL MUSE! Having a team that you trust, admire and genuinely really enjoy being around - makes the day so much more wonderful! I didn't stress one bit about my hair and make up - I felt completely confident letting them be in control. I felt beautiful and I knew I was beautiful! All thanks to Blissful Muse :)
Blissful Muse made my wedding day everything I dreamed of and more. I will recommend them to everyone I know because you simply cannot go wrong with this team. Fantastic hair and makeup team!!
Cortney, Ashley, and Suz are awesome! They are such lovely people to be around, and incredibly talented hair and makeup artists! They did the hair and makeup for the bridal party, my mom, and me for our wedding, and they did an amazing job! Everyone was so pleased with their hair and makeup, and all of our makeup and hairstyles lasted all night despite extensive dancing!! Cortney did my hair and makeup for the wedding, and she absolutely nailed it!! I was so pleased with the outcome. I don’t wear much makeup, and I was nervous about not looking like myself while also knowing that makeup can really enhance your best features and improve the results in your wedding photography. They put my concerns totally at ease and did an amazing job giving me a “natural glam” makeup look that still looked like me! I wanted my hair to be out of the way so I didn’t have to mess with it, while still being loose and flowing, and Cortney absolutely nailed it!
I have a lot of allergies unfortunately that limits what makeup products I can use, and Ashley and Cortney were both hugely helpful in the months leading up to the wedding in identifying products that would work well for me despite my allergies. I cannot thank Cortney, Ashley, and Suz enough for their patience on the day accommodating schedule changes, and just being so incredibly pleasant to work with!! Everyone in the bridal party and my mom commented about how fantastic a team they were, and how wonderful a job they did. Thank you so much Cortney, Ashley, and Suz!

Incredible experience all around!
From the initial inquiry to the wedding day hair and makeup experience, blissful muse was incredible! First of all, Ashley is a true gem of a human. She made me feel so at ease and relaxed on my wedding day. She had such a fun, positive and supportive presence. On top of that, she is so incredibly talented with diverse hair and skin types. This was the first time my mom ever had her makeup done professionally and she was so pleased with the experience - she looked absolutely stunning. Having naturally curly hair, I knew that I wanted to go curly for my bridal look but wasn’t entirely sure about a style or how it would hold up. During my trial, Ashley worked with me to create a style that was very true to ‘everyday me’ with a slightly polished twist. I could not have been more pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out and held up throughout the day - after shedding many happy tears AND breaking it down on the dance floor, everything was still intact by the end of the night. If you’re thinking about booking blissful muse - run!! don’t walk!! -

Would 1000% Hire Again!
I had the pleasure of working with Courtney and Cortney as my wedding day stylists and boy did they deliver! They both had me and my bridesmaids cracking up while we were getting ready and it helped put everyone at ease and really set the tone for the day. I ended up slightly changing the hairstyle I wanted from the original one Courtney did at my trial months earlier and she didn't even bat and eye when I told her I wanted to change it! And it was beautiful! I had my ceremony outside... at the beach (hello wind)... in August (hello sweat).... I don't know what magic those girls did but all of our makeup never smeared; our hair stayed put and we still all looked fresh as daisies! I would hire anyone from Blissful Muse! -

I cannot recommend Ashley & her team enough. All of my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother in law looked stunning & most importantly felt like an elevated version of themselves. Amazing and Fun to Work With!
I had the opportunity to work with Courtney and Lindsay for my wedding-day hair and makeup; these ladies were awesome to work with and made the whole morning so fun! Starting with my trial hair & makeup day, these ladies took time to understand exactly what I wanted and then brought it to life! Then, I gave them some small changes I wanted made around color or style and they took those into account giving me exactly what I was wanting for my wedding day! I am so happy Blissful Muse was available on our wedding date. Cortney is a wonderful person and does amazing work! She is so easy to talk to and I enjoyed getting to know her during my beauty trial. She is so incredibly talented. I only had a very vague idea of how I wanted to wear my hair and did not even have a photo to show her. I mentioned wanting to try a half-up/half-down style and showed her my dress and she worked her magic. It was perfect!
Everyone I spoke with at Blissful Muse was very friendly and helpful. I also felt very comfortable communicating any changes from the trial I wanted, like trying darker make-up to match the spray tan I would have on the day of.
Getting ready on the day of our wedding went so smoothly! Cortney is as efficient as she is talented. She styled hair for me, my MoH, mom and mother-in-law. She also did my make-up. All with plenty of time to spare before we did group photos. Everyone loved their hair. Patti joined Cortney and did everyone else's make-up. They looked stunning! We all had such a great time listening to a Limited Too playlist and joking around. I felt so beautiful when we were done getting ready and I have Cortney to thank for that! My make-up lasted all night despite 3+ hours of dancing without touching up. I highly recommend Blissful Muse to anyone! -

I could go on and on about what a wonderful experience I had with Blissful Muse! From my very first interaction, to booking and finally to my wedding day - every touch point was beyond helpful, easy and stress free. The stress free portion is pretty hard to manage when it comes to anything wedding related!
One of my favorite parts of Blissful Muse, and honestly, probably the part that matters the most, is that they were spot on with the look and style I wanted for my wedding day. I knew that I wanted a refined and polished look without looking too "done up" since I typically am not in major glam in my day-to-day. Nothing too understated, but nothing too over the top . . . with those vague directions they were able to give me the exact look I wanted! Due to a really short timeline (thank you to COVID and a deployment for really mucking up all our original plans) couples with planning a wedding across the country, I wasn't able to meet with Ashley and her team before the wedding date so I wasn't able to do a trial run (due to my scheduling challenges - not theirs! they are super accommodating). Despite this, they did a great job of asking the right questions and giving me the right homework that I was able to get the perfect look on my wedding day with zero rework! Also, my bridesmaids all had differing levels of "done up" that they wanted. Every single one of them looked beautiful while still very much looking like themselves.
Also, my makeup and hair lasted throughout the entire evening with zero touch-ups! I loved that I had a look that I felt comfortable and confident in without being too "aware" of my makeup if that makes sense - it all flowed beautifully and seamlessly with every portion of the day.
Finally, a wonderful bonus is that everyone I interacted with from Blissful Muse is so fun and enjoyable! They were a great addition to our getting ready time and even a calming presence when I had a momentary freakout (I accidentally saw my husband before the wedding - a silly tradition but it threw me off!).
I cannot recommend Blissful Muse enough. They were the perfect addition to our wedding day and well worth the investment! If you are on the fence on if you should do hair and makeup for everyone in the bridal party -- do it. They will respect everyone's wishes while still giving your bridal party a polished and cohesive look. Just writing this makes me want to have a glam day again!

I am from jersey and am severely traumatized from being a bridesmaid in weddings up north. I end up looking nothing like myself with sharp eyebrows and a Smokey eye every time. So when it was time for my own wedding I knew I had to find someone who would make me look like myself, but elevated and that is exactly what Ash and team did for me and my girls. I cannot recommend them enough. If you have any hesitations about working with Blissful Muse, don’t. Hire them as fast as you can. -

First of all, Ashley was so so sweet and such a pleasure to have around on our wedding day. She really took into consideration what everyone wanted and delivered stunning results! I almost wrecked my car leaving my appointment because I couldn’t stop staring at myself in the rear-view! I have never looked as beautiful as Ashley made me look. She made me look exactly like I do in my dreams and brought to life every fairytale, vision board, fantasy I never thought possible. Her studio was immaculate and had a lot of thoughtful little touches for brides. She even sent me off with a little tube of the lipstick she blended for me which was above and beyond. I was most impressed with how much time she carved out for my services. It sounds easy- but it is so rare - especially during this time of a pandemic - she is taking EVERY SINGLE precaution to be safe and provide an amazing service with an even more amazing experience. Ashley and Lindsey were the most perfect duo for myself and my bridesmaids on my wedding day. I am picky when it comes to my hair and makeup getting done by someone else, but I absolutely loved the look they created. I was in tears I was so happy and my bridesmaids were all in love with their looks as well. I would definitely recommend Ashley for any of your beauty needs. -

Ashley delivered on my wedding hair and took my inspiration and created my perfect updo. She took my adjustments to the updo in stride and communicated with my through the whole process to ensure I was getting what I wanted. My hair lasted all night and a single piece didn’t fall out of place. -

During the trial she listened to all of my concerns about what I wanted and helped give me exactly what I was looking for! After the trial we reevaluated a couple pieces of hair and make up (brightness of the lip color, volume of the hair, etc.) and it made me feel so at ease that she new exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. She was a joy to work with and made me feel so comfortable in the weeks leading up to the wedding and day of. Highly recommend!
It also was so convenient that she came to our venue and she could scale up her team depending on the number of bridesmaids that chose to participate! -

We used Blissful Muse for our wedding on 11/1, and they were incredible! I wanted a natural, beautiful look that still felt like me, and they delivered that perfectly. They were so accommodating, listened closely to what I wanted, and made sure every detail felt just right.
My makeup artist, Cortney, was truly exceptional. Not only is she amazingly talented, but she helped set the tone for the entire morning - fun and so easy to be around. She made me feel completely at ease, was always there for touch-ups or little tweaks, and brought such a light, uplifting energy to the day. I genuinely felt so beautiful, and a huge part of that was because of her.
The whole team - Cortney, Suz, Logan, Ashley, and everyone who helped with our group - was kind, professional, and such a joy to work with. They kept everything on schedule, made getting ready feel fun and relaxed, and made our bridal party look and feel amazing. -

Very thankful I went with Blissful Muse Co. for my wedding. The Client Signature Package was an amazing option that allowed me to have a post-ceremony hair and makeup change. Cortney was a dream to work with. She encouraged feedback to make sure I felt beautiful and confident for my wedding. It was also really nice having a trial because I went into the wedding morning knowing I would love how I looked. Ashley was incredible! I’m fairly easy going when it comes to details, but I was looking for someone with experience working with diverse hair and skin tones, and with an aesthetic I liked. Everyone in my wedding party was thrilled with the work! My curly haired friend even got a quick lesson on how to achieve the definition Cortney got in her curls. The team was absolutely perfect on the wedding day; they were extremely prepared, matched our energy, and were so fun to have with us getting ready. Ashley was super flexible with all my many changes, and I can tell she’s passionate and dedicated to what she does. I highly recommend Blissful Muse! -

Seamless wedding day
I cannot say enough about Cortney to express how amazing she made my whole wedding experience. When Cortney and her team arrived on site the day of, they immediately set up and didn't need to ask any questions (which is huge when everyone is asking you a million questions all day). They hit the ground running and immediately got started on hair and makeup. Cortney kept everyone on schedule, adapted to day-of changes, and overall kept everyone calm and happy all day. The attendant services were also amazing as Cortney stayed until cocktail hour. She stepped up to touch up my hair and makeup, hold my flowers, fix my dress, and get me anything else I needed. I wasn't worried about a thing on the day of my wedding and I credit a lot of that peacefulness to Cortney and the rest of the Blissful Muse team. -

Ashley was simply incredible - both insanely talented and so laid back/fun to be around. Everyone in my bridal party was blown away by her abilities as a hair stylist. I felt so comfortable with her, like she was really listening and understanding what I was looking for. I don't normally wear a lot of makeup and was worried about looking too done up, but in my trial run she alleviated all of my worries. I would highly recommend her to anyone! -

Let's just say we loved Ashley so much that one of my bridesmaids booked her AS SHE WAS GETTING HER HAIR DONE for my wedding! I don't meant to exclaim with my all caps but I want to emphasize how much we loved her. I absolutely loved my wedding day hair - even when I'm looking through my wedding photos now, I find myself admiring my hair and at what a great job she did. I am extremely particular with my hair but she was able to achieve such a stunning updo on me. Ashley is not only a magician with her hands (we loved every single hair style - 11 heads that turned out perfectly), she's also such a fun/pleasant person who will fit right in with your girls. I will say that communicating was difficult at first via email with her because she has office hours, but no big deal - just hit her up on Instagram and she'll respond right away. During my trial I showed her a couple pictures, explained what I liked, and she knew what to do immediately. Even for my bridesmaids who didn't have trials with her, she was able to take their reference photos the day of and replicate the looks with ease. She was also extremely flexible and offered to redo an updo until my friend was satisfied. Overall, I highly recommend Ashley Watts! -
